A clean plant-based diet is the best way to make a switch to a healthier lifestyle not just for losing weight but for many other benefits. Not only that but recent studies have revealed that the diet is great in maintaining a woman’s health. As per Harvard medical school studies, “cutting back on meat and increasing our plant-intake is one of the best ways to boost our immune systems”. It states that as plant-based foods are easier to absorb, they are also great for our digestive tract.” “When we talk about women’s health, vaginal health is often ignored. It is extremely important for women to maintain vaginal health as this directly affects the overall wellbeing. Multiple factors like pregnancy, hormones etc, can impact vaginal health” says Arti Gill, co-founder of Oziva. Ahead, Gill explains why one should incorporate a plant-based diet in their lifestyle to ensure vaginal well-being. “Eating a plant-based diet has been found to support the generation of good bacteria which is necessary for combating disease-causing microbes. It also helps maintain its natural pH balance” says Gill. Add a lot of whole foods, greens, and fresh fruits because not only do they help regulate your period cycle but also contribute in maintaining a healthy vagina. Seasonal fruits and vegetables like cranberry help the vagina in maintaining its odour and keeps urinary tract infections at bay which is caused by the presence of bad bacteria. A plant-based diet also helps the vagina to naturally clean itself thus keeping it free from infections. Plant-based items to be consumed during menopause “Females undergo maximum changes during menopause with women often facing symptoms like mood swings and hot flashes. While one can’t eliminate this natural process completely, a lot of the symptoms can be managed with a holistic and clean lifestyle” suggests Gill. A few food items that will come to your rescue to help you easily navigate through these symptoms are: Black cohosh: “This flowering plant supports female hormones and reduces hot flashes,” says Gill. Not only that it also aids in the reduction of sweating during your nighttime sleep. Shatavari: This age-old Ayurvedic herb improves estrogen levels and also relieves one of issues of vaginal dryness. It also has a positive impact on your mood. Red clover: “Night sweats that are experienced by women during menopause can be controlled by red clover, also known as Tripatra (in Hindi). It also helps improve bone density,” says Gill. While other medicinal herbs like Ashwagandha and Lodh Bark help soothe the uterus and control menopause symptoms. Plant-based items to be consumed if you have PCOS Likewise, hormonal imbalance in women causes serious disorders like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome aka PCOS. While it has been found that almost one in every five women in India suffers from PCOS, it is important to note that the same can be fairly regulated through adequate exercise, shift in lifestyle and consuming a diet rich in plant-based foods on a daily basis. “Eating whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds and fresh herbs and condiments like Tulsi, cinnamon and turmeric have also been proven to improve insulin resistance and decrease cortisol levels. This helps the body lose excess weight and control other symptoms of PCOS” says Gill. A clean plant-based diet can do wonders for improving overall health in women. “From managing symptoms of menopause by regulating hormones to sustaining healthy female genitalia, the merits of plant-enriched diets cannot be stressed enough,” shares Gill.

Rabat – King Mohammed VI will deliver a royal speech to mark the 45th anniversary of the Green March on Saturday instead of tonight. The decision comes after a member of the technical team in charge of recording and broadcasting the royal speech tested positive for COVID-19. A statement from the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced the news a few hours before the King’s speech was set to take place. The King will deliver the speech at 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 7. All national television channels and radio stations will broadcast the address. The situation is unprecedented as Morocco continues to report thousands of COVID-19 cases on a daily basis. As of November 6, Morocco reported a total of 246,349 COVID-19 infections, including 4,127 deaths and 200,954 recoveries. Other royal events have witnessed adjustments during the COVID-19 crisis. King Mohammed VI celebrated Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, and Eid Al Mawlid with limited audiences to prevent the spread of the virus. The King also delivered his speech on the opening of this session of Parliament virtually from the royal palace in Rabat, in respect of preventive measures to contain the spread of the pandemic. What is it? Just a few short weeks ago, Autocar magazine readers will have seen that we declared the Focus ST a better hot hatch than the new Volkswagen Golf GTI (website viewers that missed it will want to check in over the weekend). There can be few doubts over the Ford's overarching performance and desirability, then. The question that hangs over this seven-speed automatic version: whether the extra £1450 you spend on the gearbox is worth the investment over a manual. What's it like? The most obvious visual difference is that a six-speed gearlever gives way to a rotary selector on the centre console, plus a pair of small (arguably too small) plastic paddles behind the steering wheel. Like the rest of the interior, they’re not very impressive to look at, but function well enough. The auto has the same mechanism as the manual for picking up Normal, Sport, Slippery or Race Track driving modes on the steering wheel — but there is an M switch for manual in the middle of the selector dial if you want to do the cog-swapping yourself. The auto is virtually as rapid as the manual (it concedes 0.3sec from 0-62mph), but it’s a good deal more effortless, especially for the kind of driving with a high workload — lots of traffic or frequent B-road overtaking. Shifts are smooth if you want simple bouts of acceleration, but the kickdown (or paddle response) can be disappointingly slow if the powertrain is asked to change its mood quickly. Things in the ‘box don’t get appreciably quicker if you go for Sport or Race Track mode, either, which is a bit of a surprise. But you do get more alert throttle, at least, and the Continuously Controlled Dampers firm things up a lot, while the steering becomes firmer to heft (a boon, because it feels rather artificial in the Normal mode). Should I buy one? To love this car for its autoness, I would want a considerably quicker response to paddles and kickdown and snappier shifts in Race Track. Still, the ST auto is an impressive, quick car with a broader appeal across the spectrum of families, because it’s easy and smooth for anyone to drive. But there’s no doubt the manual is where it’s at for drivers.

Hina Khan keeps her fans updated with her latest fashion stints, and continued to do so even while she was inside the Bigg Boss house recently. While her fashion game is usually on point, we are not too impressed with her latest look, pictures of which she shared on social media. If you want to know more about it, keep scrolling. First things first, while the denim trend happens to be an evergreen one, thanks to the fabric’s versatile, durable and easy-going nature, it must be noted that it can get tricky to style it at times. In the latest look, the Naagin actor is seen sporting an oversized denim jacket with a pair of slightly loose denim pants. Though she tries hard to ace the denim on denim trend, Hina’s look misses the mark due to numerous reasons. First, because of the fitting — if you wear a loosely fitted piece of clothing, always pair it with a better-fitted piece to balance it out. This way, you don’t look shabby and make a casual statement. Secondly, her denim jacket has sequin detailing — a big no-no with denim; and her pants are folded at the end which doesn’t look neat. Paired with a pointy-toe flats in yellow, the colour coordination doesn’t sit too well either. However, her reflective sunglasses and minimal take on accessories is a win!

Rabat – Morocco’s government seeks to see more engagement from Moroccans abroad in terms of investments. The country’s Delegate Minister in charge of Moroccans living abroad (MREs), Nezha El Ouafi, introduced on Thursday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “action report” for the year 2020, reviewing the structural reforms recently launched to deal with the repercussions of the crisis. She also discussed policies and work programs that seek to address the challenges of Morocco’s post-pandemic economic outlook, including measures to meet the demands of Morocans living abroad. “The project was developed as part of the mobilization of Moroccan skills residing abroad,” the minister said. She explained that one area that merits particular attention are projections that the number of skilled Moroccans residing abroad is set to exponentially grow in the coming years. Specifically, the figures are expected to jump from 4,500 to 10,000 skilled MREs by 2030. Under the ministry’s national plan program, Morocco seeks to mobilize 500,000 investors by 2030 as part of the implementation of the national skills mobilization program. According to El Ouafi, the project will also include honing and sustaining Morocco’s cultural appeal overseas. Part of the goal, she insisted, will be to highlight the importance of culture by developing and adapting Morocco’s cultural sphere to strengthen emerging Moroccan generations’ ties with their homeland. The number of MREs is currently estimated at over five million across the world. Their contribution to Morocco’s economy is considered to be one of the key pillars of the country’s largely upbeat economic outlook. Recent statistics show that remeticcances of Moroccans residing abroad increased by 2.2% at the end of September, reaching about MAD 50.5 billion ($5.52 billion). The flow of remittances remained high despite the COVID-19 crisis. In the early days of the pandemic, Morocco’s government declared a state of emergency and closed sea, air, and land borders to avoid the spread of the pandemic. The decision affected thousands of Moroccans abroad, many of whom have a penchant for spending seasonal holidays at home. COVID-19 also impacted Moroccan tourists who were abroad at the time of the border closure in March, and some of them had to wait more than two months to be able to travel back home. Morocco had to launch special flights to help Moroccans residing abroad return to their countries of residence and to bring back Moroccans stranded abroad. As of November 5, the number of COVID-19 cases in Morocco reached 240,951, including 4,059, and 197,215 recoveries.

Editor's note: This review was originally published on October 17, 2020 with 3.5 stars. Since then, Roccat reached out to tell us that this isn't typical and we likely received a faulty product. Our replacement unit had a much better mic, so we've updated the microphone section of this review and increased the headset's rating to 4 stars. The Roccat Elo X Stereo is the brand’s latest affordable ($49.99) over-the-ear cans for gamers. Competing with the best gaming headsets in the budget category, it succeeds in bringing high quality audio at an affordable price. The satin black metal and plastic headset with soft leatherette (what happened to calling it pleather?) are lightweight and really comfortable. It’s also handy for those battling across multiple gaming platforms (PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation and smartphones). But if you want to do some tweaking, be prepared to be left wanting. Roccat’s lineup of Elo headphones are all very similar in design with different colored logos alerting gamers to which pair they’ve purchased. The Elo 7.1 USB and wireless Elo 7.1 Air both have RGB logos, but our review focus, the lowest end of the Elo line-up, is LED-free. The Elo X Stereo uses an adjustable metal headband, and underneath the metal headband is a plastic one. The latter is seamlessly covered in the same soft leatherette and memory foam used on the ear cups, while the rest of the unit is made from quality plastics to ensure they remain lightweight. In addition to the cozy leatherette, the Elo X Stereo’s ear cups have excellent memory foam that makes wearing these headphones a pleasure. Overall, the Elo X Stereo has some of the feel of higher end over-the-ear headphones. At just $49.99, you’ll feel (literally) like you’ve gotten a good deal. The onboard controls for the Elo X are on the left ear cup. A well-incorporated slider knob controls the volume level, and right beneath that is a mute button. They both work as they’re meant to and perform solidly. On the right ear cup we find the Roccat silver logo and removable microphone area. The microphone detaches and reinserts easily and firmly, again letting you know this is a well crafted pair of headphones. The Roccat Elo X Stereo’s 50mm neodymium magnet drivers reproduce sound so excellently that you’ll think you spent more than $49.99. Immersion is the name of the game. When I played Grand Theft Auto V, every crash, every scream and every screeching peel out was fantastically reproduced. Rich sound came from every direction, making me feel like I was actually inside the vehicle causing mass quantities of mayhem and destruction. While playing Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Joker’s laugh came through with the bone-curdling chill expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the bone crushing audio reproduction of Batman’s punches as they landed squarely on the jaws of The Joker’s evil minions. Also, the timbre in Batman's gruff voice came through beautifully, tense and angry, as the caped crusader spoke. I also enjoyed every step I took around Arkham, thanks to the audio’s immersive nature. I even noticed subtle differences in tone when stepping through wet ground. I grew up in a home of audiophiles, so I turned my attention to John Coltrane’s 1961 My Favorite Things album, and it came through wonderfully on the Elo X Stereo. The highs of Coltrane’s horn were eloquently reproduced, and the mids and highs of the entire album sounded as magically as intended. Next, I wanted to hear how the Elo X’s 50mm neodymium magnet would reproduce the deep baselines of my teen years. While listening to Boogie Down Productions’ KRS-One rap about how “Love’s Gonna Get’cha,” the thick baseline came through flawlessly and with delicious depth. There was no distortion to be found as the Roccat Elo X Stereo produced the warm rhythmic bass of my youth as I ended my listening flashback with the smooth jazzy bassline of Soul II Soul’s “Back to Life”. Again, I have to say, for $49.99 you can’t go wrong. When we first published this review, we reported that the Elo X Stereo's unidirectional, detachable and flexible mic showed poor performance. While noise cancelling was effective and audio was audible, my voice sounded low in volume and somewhat tinny. After we posted our initial review, Roccat contacted us informing that it suspected the microphone was fault and sent over a replacement unit, and the results were much better. While video chatting with my daughter to discuss raising her allowance, she mentioned that I sounded great and asked if she could have the headset if she can't get the allowance raise. So, 1 point Roccat. When I sat down to record voiceover audio for a project, the sound quality was really good. The Elo X Stereo's mic caught the depth and timbre in my voice excellently. Mic performance was impressive enough that I could see this working for recording and livestreaming with no problems. It also did an excellent job of blocking out background noise and staying focused on my voice. The tinny recording experience I had with the original microphone was non-existent, and it was a pleasure to go about my day taking Zoom meetings, chatting while playing games and denying my child a raise in her allowance. Note that the Elo X Stereo has a one-year warranty. You can find details here. Feature and Software As with any new device I review, I went in search of compatible software to enhance the user experience. Sadly, the Elo X Stereo isn’t compatible with Roccat’s Swarm or Talk FX software. Both apps are meant for Roccat’s higher end headsets and grant gamers finer audio control, as well as control of the RGB lighting, including those on other Roccat peripherals. In this case, software might have been able to help the microphone experience with the Elo X Stereo. Maybe in the future Roccat will come up with software for their mid-tier and lower end headsets -- one can dream. The Roccat Elo X Stereo sounds great with games, offering a surprisingly immersive experience. You get driving bass, warm mid tones and wonderful highs, all for the low price of $49.99. Tweakers will miss the option for software though. And if you're into virtual surround sound, you might want to opt for the similarly priced Asus TUF Gaming H3. But for those seeking an affordable gaming headset with amazing sound, the Roccat Elo X Stereo is a solid choice.

What is it? The Audi RS E-tron GT raises a few interesting questions relating not only to the future of the performance car as a concept, but also to all cars in a far broader sense. It’s no secret that the first electric vehicle to wear Audi Sport’s coveted RS badge shares in effect all of its componentry with the Porsche Taycan. From its twin electric motors to its three-chamber air suspension, and from its 800V battery to its layout and the J1 platform upon which it’s based – all of the things that make these cars stop and go and ride and change direction – are pretty much one and the same. So it’s tempting, if a little reductive, simply to label the RS E-tron GT as a Taycan in an Audi frock, purely by dint of the fact that the Porsche came first. So the first of those questions, I guess, should be, ‘how much truth is there in such a label?’. And the big, rather more philosophical one has to be, ‘how different from one another can we expect the electric performance cars of the future to actually be?’. We’ll come to the first in a bit, but that second one is a bit of a humdinger. Combustion-engined performance cars have taken many forms over the years, and everything from cylinder count to engine positioning, forced induction and transmission type all combine to determine how a car will ride, handle, perform and respond to your inputs. Crucially, however, they all help to form a car’s unique sense of personality. There’s a degree more uniformity where the high-performance EV is concerned. Most will house their batteries beneath the floor, between the axles for a low centre of gravity and better weight distribution. Most will have an electric motor up front, joined by one or two motors at the rear for all-wheel drive. All will offer immediate throttle response and a slug of torque available from the basement and which enables them to accelerate with all the ferocity of a jump into hyperspace. Great for making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, perhaps, but it’s all a bit samey, isn’t it? Just like the Taycan, the Audi fits that blueprint to a tee. Its 83.7kWh (net capacity) battery sits between the front and rear axles, each of which houses a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor. Combined, they endow the RS E-tron GT with system outputs of 612lb ft and 590bhp – that latter figure rising to 646bhp during launch control starts. Curiously, that’s not quite as much as the middleweight Taycan Turbo’s peak of 671bhp, but is still enough to make this EV the most powerful RS model yet and to allow it to accelerate from 0-62mph in ‘considerably less time than 3.5sec’. So just how different from the Porsche is the Audi? According to Dennis Schmitz, technical project manager for RS E-tron GT, the clue is in the name. “We want to show high performance, but also everyday usability in an electric car,” he says. “That’s why we call it a gran turismo; to show it’s super-sporty on the one hand – RS always means extreme sport – but also that it’s really usable. It’s a four-door car, it’s a car you can travel longer distances in, you can travel with your family in, you can switch from a really comfortable setting to a really sporty one.” What's it like? Having spent a couple of hours driving this camouflaged, preproduction (albeit very nearly finished) RS E-tron GT, I can see where he’s coming from in relation to its usability. I never thought the Taycan Turbo S we road tested earlier this year was anything but impressive in terms of its ride and refinement, but there’s a softer, gentler side to the Audi’s ride that would probably make it the slightly more comfortable of the two over distance. Its cabin is also exceptionally well isolated, and the driving position is excellent. My only complaint in this respect is that I found the seatbacks to be a bit too wide for my frame – something you really notice when you get to a corner. Because it’s here where you really notice the similarities between the two. Like the Porsche, the Audi tips the scales at around 2.3 tonnes, but you’d never know based on the way it changes direction. Like the Porsche, the E-tron GT’s steering rack is really quick in its responses, if a little lighter and more effortless in your hands, and its body movements are exceptionally well contained. It corners really flatly, with masses of grip but not so much that it won’t nudge into gentle, easily throttle-controlled understeer if you come into a bend a bit too enthusiastically. Its rear-wheel steering is nicely calibrated, too, so you feel like you’re naturally pivoting into turns rather than suddenly rotating like a slapped shopping trolley. Then you get back on the throttle, and any thoughts you might have had about why Audi chose to cap the RS E-tron GT’s power output below that of it’s Taycan sibling evaporate. On the road it’s seriously quick – easily as quick as you’d ever really want a car to be. Throttle response is instant, and the rate at which you accelerate verges on the uncomfortable. You don’t really need more thrust than the Audi serves up. The Blade Runner-like soundtrack is pretty cool, too, in the sort of slightly geeky, technophile way that a Moog modular synthesiser is also pretty cool. But you’d never picture a rock star with anything other than an old Stratocaster, would you? As necessary as EVs might be, the sonic character of an engine is an exceptionally challenging thing to replace. I’m not sure the RS E-tron GT – nor any EV for that matter – can produce a noise capable of making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end. Nevertheless, I think the car is different enough from the Porsche to see it escape a ‘Taycan with an Audi badge’ label. The differences are subtle but detectable. It does feel like a more long-legged and comfortable car, if perhaps at the expense of some tactility and outright composure when you’re really going for it. WLTP range hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Schmitz says it’ll be around the 249-mile point, and on the fastest 350kW rapid chargers (there are only a handful currently in the UK) you’ll be able to top the battery up to 80% charge in 22.5 minutes. As the infrastructure improves, I don’t see why you couldn’t use the Audi as a bonafide grand tourer. Should I buy one? For all the subtle differences between the RS E-tron GT and the Taycan, their similarities are still manifest enough to make me apprehensive about the diversity of the electric performance cars of the future. This pre-production Audi already feels like an impressively accomplished performance EV, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the finished product performs when it arrives next spring. I just hope we’ll see some sort of deviation from a format that increasingly seems to prioritise massive acceleration as the primary measure of a performance EV’s worth.

Dull, damaged and brittle hair can be a cause of concern for many which continue to trouble despite trying numerous treatments. But instead of opting for chemical treatments that may add to the problem in the long-run apart from being expensive, would you like to try an easy, simple homemade method? If the answer to that question is a ‘yes’, here’s a simple method suggested by Dr Geetika Mittal Gupta. “Daily exposure to harsh sunlight, weather changes, stress and pollution, makes our hair brittle, dull and prone to damage. Try this easy hair DIY which will do wonders for your hair,” she said. Ingredients 2 tbsp – Yogurt 1 tbsp – Aloe vera gel 1 tbsp – Olive oil Method *Mix all the ingredients together and apply on hair and scalp. *Massage the mixture for 10 minutes. *Let it rest for half an hour and wash. Benefits “This mask helps to restore the natural shine of your hair and also works well in getting rid of itchy scalp,” she said.
