  2. Hiren's BootCD (also known as HBCD) is a bootable software CD containing a number of diagnostic programs such as partitioning agents, system performance benchmarks, disk cloning and imaging tools, data recovery tools, MBR tools, BIOS tools, and many others for fixing various computer problems. HBCD can be considered a valuable tool for use in troubleshooting and recovery of computers. As it is bootable, the operating system of the computer need not be available for the tools to be usable. All that is required is that the computer is able to run Microsoft Windows and Linux (but it does not have to have either of these installed at the time of use). Most of the tools are also available when the operating system is already started. PRO That PE was the ony IT tool of every usage, made by a professional and was covering all aspects of sytems maintains its "popularity" is not a reason to add any PRO. its gain its popularity because its high level making. most of that popularity was at the time it was including all comercial products such Acronis, Paragon, Symantec, ect... its only after version 10.4 that those apps were dropped out. there is also no reason to qualify it in CON only because of his outdated as it was aborted years ago. for users that still run win XP or win7 its still relevant in most case. just have to realize that it was build at time that common systems was based x86 architecture not x64 one.
  3. The Cooler Master V650 Gold features good build quality, but this is not enough to beat the competition, especially since its price is stiff and availability, in the US market at least, is limited. With the same or even lower amount, someone can get better power supplies from Corsair (RM650x), Seasonic (Focus Plus Gold 650W), EVGA (SuperNOVA 650 G3), and Asus (Rog Strix 650). Cooler Master's V Gold line consists of four models, with capacities ranging from 550W to 850W. We have already evaluated the 750W unit (V750 Gold), and in this review, we will take a detailed look at the 650W model, which has enough power to handle a mid-level system. The V650 Gold (model number: MPY-6501-AFAAGV), like all the other members of the family, is fully modular and is equipped with a 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, which is supported by a semi-passive mode that can be deactivated, should you want the fan to be always spinning. Another interesting note about the V650 Gold is that it uses 16AWG gauges for the PCIe connectors, despite its modest capacity. Nonetheless, our sample came with standard 18AWG gauges, but according to Cooler Master, this won't be the case with retail units. The V750 Gold is the second strongest member of the line. A good 750W power supply can easily support a potent system, equipped with a high-end CPU and a strong GPU (e.g., Nvidia RTX 2080Ti or AMD RX 5700 XT). If you need to use a pair of 2080Ti cards, along with an AMD Ryzen 9 or an Intel i9 CPU, you will have to get a power supply with at least 1000W power, to have peace of mind. A 2080Ti can consume up to 250W of power, so two of them reach 500W, while a Ryzen 9 3900x is at 150W, with the i9-9900K hitting more than 220W even at stock speeds and settings.

  10. The movies Oldboy and The Raid come to mind as the most obvious recent(ish) reference points for Sifu, a kung-fu brawler announced during a PlayStation stream today. The grimy hallway in the trailer above looks pretty familiar, for example. What's really exciting, though, is not just that Sifu is reminiscent of some cool movies, but that the developer behind it is well-equipped to nail the material. Sifu is the next game from Sloclap, the studio behind under-loved fighting game Absolver. There are a lot of ways Absolver is good, but to me, its best feature is the ability to customize your fighting style, mixing and matching moves to design your own complex rhythm. As a fan of 1978 Jackie Chan movie Drunken Master, I spent a long time developing my skills with Absolver's clumsy-looking Stagger-style moves, and had just as much fun testing my abilities against other players as I did experimenting with movesets against AI fighters. Unlike Absolver, Sifu doesn't appear to have a PvP element—it might, but Sloclap hasn't mentioned one, so I'll have to ask. The focus of the trailer is all on the singleplayer story, which seems to have a roguelite structure of sorts. The premise is that we've spent our lives training to take revenge on the assassins who killed our family, but have to do it in a single day. "To overcome the odds that are heavily stacked against you, you'll need to rely on your mastery of Kung Fu, and on a magical pendant that will revive you after death," reads a description of the game sent to PC Gamer. "The cost of magic is dear, however, and you will age significantly every time you come back to life: time is the price you will pay for your revenge." Even if Absolver's moveset system doesn't show up again here, its push-and-pull combat is a lot of fun in general, so I've got high hopes for Sifu. (The name, by the way, refers to a teacher or master.) The PlayStation versions were obviously emphasized in the announcement on Sony's stream today, but Sifu is also releasing on PC on the Epic Games Store. There's no specific release date yet, but it's scheduled to come out sometime this fall.
  11. Adobe Photoshop has a challenge. Since it became subscription-only in 2013, its users have become painfully aware of the money they’re shelling out every year, with the consequence that their demands for constant improvement and performance have become deafening. Not helping are the enormous strides made by challengers such as Affinity Photo and Luminar, and even by Photoshop’s own stablemate, Lightroom. So with the industry’s touchstone software updated in October 2020, then again in February 2021, is Adobe Photoshop CC 2021 up to the task? The current version has some headline-worthy, show-stopping features. Top of the bill this time round are the software’s 'neural filters', Adobe’s way of saying 'machine learning'. These use the company’s Sensei technology to perform certain edits in the cloud, automating edits that would previously have been laborious. So, for the first time, Photoshop will allow you to make a one-click adjustment to a photograph of a person that will make them look, depending on the slider you opt for, happier, sadder, surprised, angry or older. Perhaps the worst is the 'Be Happy!' filter; give the slider enough of a drag and it will open your subject’s mouth and add teeth. Terrifying barely begins to cover it. Photoshop’s new neural filters for portrait photography follow a bit of a trend: yes, they’re impressive in how much they’re able to do with no user intervention, but they almost always deliver this impressive technical feat with a side-order of “what’s wrong with his face?”. A number of them are described as beta, and with good reason. There are some good ones – tread lightly with the Skin Smoothing filter and you could save yourself a lot of time versus frequency separation, for instance. We also like the light adjuster, which allows you to make it look like you’re moving a light-source around your subject. These two in particular work well. Photographers of people will also like a small but important addition to the select and mask window – Refine Hair makes an appearance, allowing you to fine-tune how hair is selected. None of these on their own will make catalogue photographers out of newbies, but they all add up to a powerful set of tools that, used with care, will shave precious time from an edit.
  12. As a reader on our site, you should be very familiar with Crucial and their highly regarded consumer SSDs. Most recently recently, they announced their newest drive the MX100. In our review, we found it to be a great value SSD as it offers its owners many enterprise grade features at a very competitive price, due in part to Micron’s latest 16nm MLC NAND. On the other hand, Micron is typically known for their joint NAND flash venture with Intel, called IMFT. They are also known for their OEM and enterprise flash memory products. Their client level drives are typically developed with the Crucial consumer SSDs under the same team. This time around, Micron decided to split up development for their next generation client SSD and Crucial’s latest consumer drive, the MX100. Today, Micron we are reporting on their latest client level drive, the M600. The Micron M600 series doesn’t just consist of 2.5″ 7mm drives as the Crucial MX100 series, the family expands into M.2 and mSATA variants as well. This allows Micron to supply for the ever-growing ultrathin PC tablet market as well as the corporate notebook and workstation demands. What has come from this strategic move is greater endurance, improved performance, and an expanded capacity and form factor portfolio. MICRON M600 SPECIFICATIONS, PRICING, AND AVAILABILITY The M600 has much better endurance over previous client drives. Typically, Micron’s drives were rated for up to 72TB of writes. This next generation is rated for up to 5 times greater endurance, even after the transition to 16nm 128Gbit NAND. For 128GB, it is rated for 100TB total bytes written and the 256GB drive is rated for 200TB TBW. The 512GB is rated for 300TB TBW and finally, the 1TB drive is rated for up to 400TB TBW. A new feature added to the M600 is dynamic write acceleration, the key word being dynamic. It allows for better performance, lower power consumption, and lower write amplification. Micron’s latest NAND technology can operate in SLC mode or MLC mode on the fly. There isn’t a set amount as with other SLC mode caching technologies. This allows for a dynamic pool of SLC-mode NAND which dramatically increases write speeds on smaller capacity drives, even up until they are 99% full. This feature is not enabled in the 512GB and 1TB 2.5″ models due to their design allowing full SATA 6Gb/s write saturation. However, it is enabled in all other capacities and form factors. Furthermore, Micron offers variants of this drive that are self-encrypting and non-self-encrypting. SED drives have AES 256-bit hardware encryption from the built-in controller encryption engine. It is TCG Opal 2.0 and IEEE1667 compliant to support the Windows eDrive standard. Micron has also worked closely with WinMagic and Wave to ensure the M600 is compatible with their encryption management software. Other features to aid in data integrity and lower power consumption include RAIN reliability technology, device sleep, data path protection, and adaptive thermal monitoring.

  17. Bethesda and parent company Zenimax Media are facing a class-action lawsuit concerning the DLC for Fallout 4, which is currently in the discovery phase. The action was launched in 2019 and revolves around Fallout 4's Season Pass, which was sold before the game's release with the following promise: “To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30 [...] Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.” That seems pretty unambiguous, and Fallout 4 was released with the Season Pass in 2015 to great commercial success. In 2016 Bethesda increased the price of the Season Pass to $50. And then, in 2017, it announced the launch of the Bethesda Creation Club: “a collection of all-new content for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. It features new items, abilities, and gameplay created by Bethesda Games Studios and outside development partners including the best community creators. Creation Club content is fully curated and compatible with the main game and official add-ons.” The Creation Club content was not included in the Fallout 4 Season Pass. Venturebeat has a comprehensive report in which it speaks to one of the plaintiffs in the case, Jacob Devine, who bought the Season Pass in 2019 for $50 when it was still being advertised as offering "all Fallout 4 DLC for one S.P.E.C.I.A.L. price." The suit traces back to June 2019, when Devine's mother Suzanne filed against Bethesda in Maryland. ilippo Marchino is one of the attorneys at the X-Law Group who is bringing the suit. "[The Creation Club] clearly is downloadable content,” Marchino told Venturebeat. “It walks like a duck, quacks like a duck. So it is DLC. They try to slap a sticker on it and call it Creation Club content to remove it from the purview of the people that had already bought the Season Pass. But that’s artificial in nature. And it’s part of the fraud.” The lawsuit charges Bethesda with a bunch of behaviours including breach of contract, unjust enrichment, deceit or fraud, fraudulent concealment, and negligent misrepresentation, among other things. One wild aspect of it is the damages being sought: “It’s a multibillion-dollar lawsuit," Marchino claims. “Even a conservative multiplier of four or five times the damages would yield multibillions of dollars in damages.”
  18. Teamspeak was founded in 2001, it’s a Voip software designed for gamers who often need to comunicate with each others during a game session. The Teamspeak (TS3) software allows you to communicate with other users, but, unlike Skype, it has several additional features as it gives you the ability to create virtual rooms in which you can enter and exit freely, talk, chat with other people, send and receive media files, and so on. The target audience for TeamSpeak is gamers, who can use the software to communicate with other players on the same team of a multiplayer game. Communicating by voice gives a competitive advantage by enabling players to keep their hands on the controls. How to get the software? Visit the Teamspeak official download page to get the latest version of the client that works with your operating system (Linux, Windows, Android, IOS, ..), TeamSpeak is completely freeware, so you don’t need to pay for a license. After downloading the Teamspeak 3finished, run the executable and follow the installation instructions. Assuming that you are using Windows, in the next part we will see how to connect to a server. 19. The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is here! This is the company's new flagship graphics card, targeted at maxed out gaming at 4K UHD resolution with raytracing enabled. The Radeon RX 6900 XT was announced alongside the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 back in October—today is the launch. The new RX 6900 XT is based on the same 7 nm Navi 21 silicon, but maxes it out with all its shaders enabled, the highest clock speeds among the three cards, and the highest possible overclocking headroom. AMD in its October announcement for the RX 6000 series stunned the gaming community by announcing that its latest cards offer competitive performance with NVIDIA—the RX 6800 XT is in the same performance league as the RTX 3080, and the RX 6900 XT gets close to the RTX 3090 while beating the RTX 3080. For the most part, the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 lived up to their hype, with the RX 6800 beating the RTX 3070 and the RX 6800 XT trading blows with the RTX 3080, but only in the majority of our game tests that lack real-time raytracing. With raytracing enabled, the RX 6800 series cards perform closer to previous-generation high-end "Turing" models, such as the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. Still, there's enough for AMD to claim a return to the high-end graphics segment after many years. The new RX 6900 XT being launched today offers the very best from this generation and is targeted at enthusiasts or gamers who want the best AMD has to offer for 4K gaming. The Radeon RX 6900 XT is being launched at an SEP price of $999, which lets it sit in the vast pricing gorge between the $700 RTX 3080 and $1,500 RTX 3090. If AMD is claiming that the card trades blows with the RTX 3090, it must beat the RTX 3080 to justify the $300 higher price and get close enough to the RTX 3090 to lure in buyers with the $500 lower price. The RX 6900 XT is based on AMD's new RDNA2 graphics architecture, which debuted earlier this year with the GPU that powers the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This is important for AMD's RX 6000 series, as game developers build their game engines around consoles first since that's where the money is, and it minimizes effort for them to optimize their games for the RDNA2 architecture on the PC. The biggest feature addition with RDNA2 is full DirectX 12 Ultimate API support, which includes real-time raytracing using the DXR API, Mesh Shaders, Variable Rate Shading (both tier-1 and tier-2), and Sampler Feedback. AMD has also bolstered the card's feature set with an updated Radeon Anti-Lag, support for DirectStorage API, and resizable BAR (Smart Access Memory). In this review, we take a very close look at the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT. In its launch presentation, AMD claimed that the RX 6900 XT performs in the same league as NVIDIA's RTX 3090, but this claim came with a big asterisk—the Smart Access Memory and Radeon Rage mode overclocking features were enabled. In this review, we test the RX 6900 XT out of the box, at stock settings and on our regular VGA test bed, as well as add a data point measured on a Ryzen 9 5900X-powered machine with SAM enabled to show if the RX 6900 XT is capable of competing with the RTX 3090.
