While a balanced diet is advisable to provide the body all the essential nutrients, customized diets and lifestyle changes could be key to optimising mental health, according to new research including faculty at Binghamton University, State University of New York. There is increasing evidence that diet plays a major role in improving mental health, but everyone is talking about a healthy diet," said Begdache, an assistant professor of health and wellness studies at Binghamton University and co-author of a new paper in Nutrients. "We need to consider a spectrum of dietary and lifestyle changes based on different age groups and gender," she said. "There is not one healthy diet that will work for everyone. There is not one fix." Begdache, who is also a registered dietitian, believes that mental health therapies need to consider the differences in the degree of brain maturity between young (18-29 years old) and mature (30 years or older) adults, as well as the brain morphology among men and women. She and her research team conducted an online survey to examine food intake, dietary practices, exercise and other lifestyle factors in these four subpo[CENSORED]tions. Over a five-year period (2014-19), more than 2,600 participants completed the questionnaire after responding to social media posts advertising the survey. The team collected data at different time points and seasons and found important dietary and lifestyle contributors to mental distress -- defined as anxiety and depression -- in each of the groups. Key findings of this study are:- Significant dietary and lifestyle approaches to improve mental well-being among young women include daily breakfast consumption, moderate-to-high exercise frequency, low caffeine intake and abstinence from fast food. Dietary and lifestyle approach to improve mental well-being among mature women include daily exercise and breakfast consumption, as well as a high intake of fruits with limited caffeine ingestion. To improve the mental well-being of young men, dietary and lifestyle approaches include frequent exercise, moderate dairy consumption, high meat intake, as well as low consumption of caffeine and abstinence from fast food. Dietary approaches to improve mental well-being among mature men include moderate intake of nuts. Begdache and her team split the respondents into two age groups because human brain development continues into the late 20s. For young adults of both genders, quality of diet appears to have an impact on the developing brain. "Young adults are still forming new connections between brain cells as well as building structures; therefore, they need more energy and nutrients to do that," Begdache said. As a result, young adults who consume a poor-quality diet and experience nutritional deficiencies may suffer from a higher degree of mental distress. Age is also the reason high caffeine consumption was associated with mental distress in both young men and young women. "Caffeine is metabolized by the same enzyme that metabolizes the sex hormones testosterone and estrogen, and young adults have high levels of these hormones," Begdache said. "When young men and women consume high levels of caffeine, it stays in their system for a long time and keeps stimulating the nervous system, which increases stress and eventually leads to anxiety." The team also split respondents based on biological sex, since brain morphology and connectivity differ between men and women. Put simply, the male brain is "wired" to enable perception and coordination, whereas the female brain is built to support analysis and intuition. Begdache and her team believe these differences may influence nutritional needs. I have found it in my multiple studies so far, that men are less likely to be affected by diet than women are," said Begdache. "As long as they eat a slightly healthy diet they will have good mental well-being. It's only when they consume mostly fast food that we start seeing mental distress. "Women, on the other hand, really need to be consuming a whole spectrum of healthy food and doing exercise in order to have positive mental well-being," she added. "These two things are important for mental well-being in women across age groups." According to Begdache, current recommendations for food intake are all based on physical health; there are no recommendations for mental health. She hopes that will change -- and that her work will play a role in making those changes. "I hope to see more people doing research in this area and publishing on the customization of a diet based on age and gender," she said. "I hope that one day, institutions and governments will create dietary recommendations for brain health."

Members of the Hamas group in the Palestinian Legislative Council have said that a recent gas deal between the Palestinian Authority and Egypt is "illegal." "The Palestinian Authority in Ramallah can't, in any way, sign International agreements on behalf of the Palestinian people and their legitimate institutions," said Ahmed Bahar, deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, in a parliamentary session on Tuesday to discuss the agreement. Bahar also said the agreement was drafted "vaguely" without being presented to the council and therefore lacks "legal immunity." He added that based on Palestinian law, all agreements and projects with a large financial impact must be presented to lawmakers. In December 2018, the legislative council was dissolved by a decision from the Ramallah-based Constitutional Court, which Hamas rejected. The Palestinian Authority has yet to comment on the statement by the Gaza-based lawmakers. On Feb. 21, the Palestinian Investment Fund signed an agreement to develop the Gaza Marine gas field and necessary infrastructure with the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company EGAS. The fund, which is the sovereign fund of Palestine, said the agreement would provide Palestine's needs for natural gas and the possibility of exporting part of the gas to Egypt. Gaza Marine was discovered in the 1990s, but Palestinians have not been able to utilize it because of Israeli opposition. The field is located 36 kilometers (23 miles) west of the Gaza Strip in Mediterranean waters and was developed in 2000 by the British Gas company.

Reflecting the rapidly changing nature of networks and the need for training that prepares people to deal with and leverage those networks in their businesses, Nokia is adding two new certifications in distributed cloud networks and industrial automation networks to its online certification program on 5G-related topics. Nokia says that since it launched the program last year with two initial courses, 22,000 people globally across many industries have registered for them. Those two courses consisted of an introduction to the components of 5G networks from end-to-end and a 5G professional networking course. Nokia plans to release two additional professional-level certifications later this year, focused on network slicing and secure networks. The current courses range from four to eight hours, can be completed at the user’s own pace and have an accompanying exam that, if passed, result in certification in the topic. “The 5G certification program gives business leaders and technology professionals a competitive advantage, helping them to plan and adapt their business processes to take advantage of Industry 4.0 and turn much-discussed concepts of smart cities, autonomous vehicles, virtual learning and remote healthcare into impactful realities,” said Sergio Fasce, VP of People Services, which is the learning and development branch of Nokia. Nokia noted that over the next five years, 71% of companies are expected to invest in 5G technology. In order to figure out how 5G can best serve a business and its customers, however, enterprises from top to bottom have to have a better understanding of what 5G is, what it can enable and how to integrate it into their operations. From oil and gas to 5G factories and smart ports, vertical industries are exploring and beginning to implement 5G — meaning that they need to hire employees with the skills to work with those networks, develop 5G-related skills within existing employees, lean on partners to deliver networks-as-a-service, or some combination of the three. Even as the use of cellular technologies and private networks expand across industries, the nature of those networks is itself changing, becoming cloud-native, distributed and even disaggregated. Tareq Amin, group CTO for Rakuten Mobile, recently told RCR Wireless News that “the skill sets to run and manage a software network platform, in my view, needs to be a remarkably different skill set. The challenges are very, very different.” Rakuten Mobile launched a fully virtualized, built-from-the-ground up 4G mobile network in Japan last spring, followed by a 5G launch in the fall; it has thus far attracted 2.5 million customers. In addition to its own network, it has developed the Rakuten Communications Platform, which aims to help governments, businesses and other telecom companies replicate its approach to networks. Discussing Rakuten Mobile’s workforce, Amin said that the company “only [hires]people that have software backgrounds and capability. We have quite a bit of [site reliability engineers]running and managing this network. “If you look at traditionally what we have done in telecom, you know, we always followed standard method of procedures, various checklists,” he continued. “Well, these checklists maybe could have been created a decade ago and maybe today they don’t apply. These checklists today have been transformed from more documents to digitized workflows and that’s really fundamentally required a cultural awareness that writing code to address automation is a critical thing. ” If you don’t have a software background, I think you will struggle to sustain and develop your career as the network moves into a software architecture and a software platform,” Amin said. “So reskilling existing resources is very important, and hiring the right talent and the right pipeline of skills to be able to look at today and tomorrow’s challenges in the software world is very, very different.”

In doing some research for a book that includes references to River Street in Moose Jaw, I came across an inappropriate reference in a volume of articles about the history of Moose Jaw. The article appeared in a book entitled Moose Jaw: People, Places and History, a publication edited and, apparently, primarily written by John Larson and Maurice Richard Libby, published in 2001. I was enjoying my read until I came upon a reference to a man who might have been mistakenly identified by a reader as belonging to my grandfather, the owner of Moose Jaw Hardware. Quite frankly, I was outraged by that reference. NOTE: The awkward layout of the book, including the table of contents and the positioning of an inserted article left the impression that a man named Don Kossick was responsible for the words at issue. It was apparently not Kossick who wrote them but one or both of the editors. For this mistaken attribution I apologize, but in my own defence, I did reach out to Kossick via e-mail several times but received no response. If for some reason he did not receive them, then the victimization in this entire matter is compounded — and I am sincerely sorry for it. The intent of my article remains the same, however. In an unnecessary and factually inaccurate, out of context insertion to a chapter on “The Dirty Thirties,” the writer (s) included a third hand recollection (a memory of a man’s father) that suggested the owner of the store had deliberately refused to pay the store’s share of some work his father had carried out. The man was said to have hauled furnace ashes away from the store in a dray on the basis of an understanding that participating merchants in a work relief program would cost-share payments for the work with the City of Moose Jaw (presumably funded by the federal government). I would have just ignored this reference but given the fact that histories of the city are very rare, the article leaves a sullied impression of the owner of the hardware in question that will likely stand for several generations. By the way, full disclosure: this letter is submitted by a lifetime “left social democrat” and frequent social activist, so please don’t dismiss it as a defensive volley from a recalcitrant right wing ideologue. The entry at issue makes a hearsay reference to an “old man” named Walter, who was deemed to be the owner of the store and the “father of Ross Thatcher,” who was at one time a social democrat and later the Liberal Premier of Saskatchewan. At the time that the relief program was in effect, however, the owner of the store was not an old man, as stated in the recollection. Nor was his name “Walter,” as implied in the book. It was “Wilbert” and his nickname, which flowed from that proper name, was “Billy.” Some sober second thought and editorial competence would never have allowed the reference at issue to be published. It was, after all, weak hearsay, lacked any triangulation for context, and created a sullied reputation that will survive for many years. After all, there are no other po[CENSORED]r histories of Moose Jaw, at least that I am aware of. While the article made reference to a man who is long since deceased, fact checking with surviving family members or others who may have once been employed in the store at the time should surely have been undertaken. Moose Jaw Hardware (sometimes referred to as “Thatcher’s Hardware”” was in its time the second largest retail store in Moose Jaw, second only to Eaton’s for many years. Until it closed in 1959-60, it offered a variety of products for sale, including not only an abundance of hardware items for farmers in the area and home renovators, paint and paint brushes, kitchen appliances, chinaware, beds and furniture, as well as toys, sports equipment and the latest CCM bicycles. It provided much of southern Saskatchewan with their first and second “automatic” washing machines and dishwashers, and their first electric and gasoline fuelled lawn mowers. The hardware store occupied three floors of a building on River Street and, as I recall, approximately 9,000 sq. ft, of floor space. It was the anchor outlet for one of the first hardware chains in western Canada. There were other outlets in small towns in southern Saskatchewan, two in Moose Jaw (i.e., a smaller one on Main Street called the “Electric Hardware,” which I think was the first of the two stores in Moose Jaw) and two quite substantial stores, one in Regina and one in Saskatoon). By my rough estimate, over its lifetime, the chain created employment for well over a hundred full-time employees and perhaps as many part-time and casual workers. Given its significance to the commerce of the area and its local and domestic origins, I do find it somewhat surprising that it has never been featured in historical pieces on the city. The same disregard was suffered by several other local businesses in the city, including Joyners on Main Street. My grandfather was a frugal, careful and clever businessman, not given to ostentation. He had a clear vision of what he wanted to accomplish and the way that business should be run. He was also community minded and participated in a variety of local service projects in Moose Jaw, including through partnerships in relief programs. Not a vociferous man politically, he did have strong ideas about the importance of individual hard work and industry in a developing economy and was wary of competition to individual businesses from co-ops and governments. However, he was also strident in his views about the excesses of right wing zealotry. For this reason, he named the building in which he located Moose Jaw Hardware the “Eden Block” as a namesake reference to Sir Anthony Eden, the cabinet minister and , for a short, incomplete term, the British Prime Minster who aggressively warned against any alliance with Hitler in the years prior to World War II. Like many owners of small and medium sized businesses, Wilbert came to deeply regret some of those intrusions, such as several requests for support of sports teams which, as it turned out, did not exist, several left wing organizations and right wing organizations of brief duration seeking membership signatures. He carelessly signed up for some of them in order to rid the store of several persistent campaigners for extremist causes. Wilbert also actively supported his son Ross’s support for labour during his city council years, as well as during his years with the CCF in the Federal Parliament. By the way, the Moose Jaw Hardware was relatively successful, even during the Depression, a feat that was rare for small businesses at the time. That success could not have been achieved by an entrepreneur who was careless in managing his reputation with customers, employees and part-time workers. Anything like cheating a man on a work relief program would have, metaphorically speaking, circulated about the city at the speed of light. Let’s face it, Moose Jaw was a very small city at the time. The reputation of business owners was key to their success. The Thatcher family name has been subjected to a continuing blanket of suspicions and insults associated with things that almost all the descendants of Wilbert Thatcher had nothing to do: neither the politics of my uncle, Ross, especially his misguided challenge to Medicare, nor the tragedy implicating his son Colin , who was convicted of murdering his wife Joanne. Frankly, we are so very tired of being considered in negative ways. Given this ongoing vilification, we hardly need our family name to be called into further disrepute by sloppy and inaccurate writing and book editing. Presumptive accusations of guilt by association through family membership is clearly politically incorrect and in the po[CENSORED]r inventory of righteous concern, it belongs on the same vindictive pathway as prejudicial epithets about gay, ethnic or racial epithets. I do hope this submission goes some way to correct the record at issue, although I fear the damage is done. In recognition of this likelihood, I am currently in consultation with a legal firm to pursue a remedy in the courts, which may be a more effective redress. My grandfather was not a cheat and most of his descendants now live very successful and meaningful lives, from work in medicine and optometry, business, sociology and community activism, community-based architecture and urban planning, to script writing in Hollywood. Some of them practice law and two are artists. We are all saddened by this unnecessary, irresponsible and inaccurate shot in the dark at my grandfather that came out of the blue. Sincerely, Dr. Richard Thatcher (Richard is a retired sociologist and currently a writer and artist now living in Craven, Saskatchewan. He spent the first five years of his life and dozens of happy visits to family back to the city after growing up in Saskatoon). The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the position of this publication.

Many mobile games are "violent, explicit and addictive", and PUBG was just one example, Union minister Prakash Javadekar said Sunday, announcing a government plan to set up a centre of excellence in gaming and other related areas to promote Indian cultural ethos. PUBG was among over 100 China-origin mobile applications banned by the government last year. Although the ban was done in the name of national security, it seems that the goalposts are changing, and the return of PUBG India seems even more unlikely. The Minister for Information and Broadcasting said his ministry has decided to form a gaming centre to teach courses related to VFX, gaming, and animation so that new games are developed that promote Indian cultural ethos. PUBG: New State Announced With Android, iOS Pre-Registration Addressing the opening ceremony of virtual exhibition and prize Announcement of ''Khel Khel Mein - A Pan Maharashtra Toy/Game/ Project Design Competition'' - the minister said the courses will commence this year itself. “Happy to announce that Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with IIT Bombay has decided to form a Center of Excellence in gaming and other related areas. We are at an advanced stage of preparation and this will come into effect as the new session begins in 2021. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is passionate about preserving and perpetuating Indian values, heritage and cultural ethos and is putting in immense effort so that the children and youth of our country are made aware of our rich culture and tradition," the minister said. "We can also introduce those values via modern technology and put it to optimum use," he said. FAU-G 5v5 Team Deathmatch Mode Coming Soon He said many games played on mobile and other gadgets are "violent, explicit, addictive and tend to create a complex in the mind of children". "PUBG was just one example of it, but criticising those games is not the solution. The solution is to create our own games and apps in line with #MakeInIndia for the world so that these are adopted world over for their basic values that are an integral part of our Indian ethos," Javadekar said. He said this effort by Modi government will fructify and lead the nation into creating new games that promote Indian cultural ethos.

Elaine Agnew (53) originally from Kilwaughter in Co Antrim, has created the music for Turnabout, a new family friendly show exploring children's thoughts on hope, as part of this year's Belfast Children's Festival. She writes music and facilitates creative music workshops in education and healthcare settings, encouraging people to be creative through music. Her partner is Andrew Kemp (51) whose daughter Eirinn (21) is in her final year at Strathclyde University studying Prosthetics and Orthotics Q: Do you take regular exercise and if so, what? A: I try very hard to take regular exercise but looming deadlines and horrible weather sometimes puts a stop to that. This month Andrew and I have been doing yoga every night for at least 30 minutes. At the weekend we'll get out for a decent walk up round the Giants Ring or the Lagan Towpath which is close to where we live. I hope to get back out on my bike soon - I love the idea of running but it doesn't come naturally! Q: What is the worst illness you've had? A: A few years back I had a horrendous dose of vertigo. I was working that day in a school in Ashford in County Wicklow and afterwards drove up to Dublin for a rehearsal with the RTE Philharmonic Choir. I didn't feel great that day. When I got parked at RTE my head started spinning and I felt very dizzy. I had to sit very still in my car as any head movement made me feel sick. I then started vomiting and had to hold tightly onto my steering wheel as it felt that I was going to fall if I let go. A passer-by saw me in distress and offered help. I called my friend Jacinta who took me to St Vincent's Hospital where I was admitted for three nights. When I arrived they thought I was having a stroke as my speech was slurred, but on further examination I was diagnosed with vertigo. I felt awful - any movement of my head made me vomit, even blinking made me sick. Since then I have had a couple of gentler attacks - I know when it's coming and so I go to bed with a hot water bottle and weather the storm. Q: How healthy is your diet? A: My diet is fairly healthy. I love vegetables, especially red ones, and I'd happily survive without meat. I grow my own potatoes, onions and raspberries and in my greenhouse I grow tomatoes, cucumbers and spinach - everything I grow is eaten! My neighbour has three hens (Nugget, Omelette and Goujon) and he regularly gives us fresh eggs. Q: Any bad habits? A: I'm partial to a cheeky chicken chow mein… Q: Do you drink and smoke/if so how much? A: I don't smoke and I love a glass or two of pinot grigio, though I can easily down a bottle or two of Prosecco with my beautiful god-daughter Francesca! Q: Do you take any supplements? A: Occasionally. I don't like fish. I had a really bad experience in Iceland (the country, not the supermarket) and have never liked fish since. I take cod liver oil supplements to counter that. Q: How do you take time out? A: When you work as a freelance musician it's hard to turn off. I love gardening and that's my go-to place to relax. I also like to spend time with my mum down on our family farm and we'll bake soda bread and drink loads of tea. Cooking helps me to relax. Q: How well do you sleep? A: Mostly good, but when I can't, I'll come downstairs and have a hot drink, and when I go back to bed I'll sleep great. Q: Do you worry about getting old? A: No, not at all. Getting old is a gift that has given me confidence and I appreciate everyone and everything that I have in my life. I'll never retire though, I'm going to age creatively!

n a joint letter, more than 400 European parliamentarians called on their countries' foreign ministers to stop Israel's de facto annexation of the West Bank and end "the isolation of Gaza." Parliamentarians from 22 European countries, including the Social Democrats, Greens and Labour Party members from the U.K., France, Germany, and Sweden, addressed EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell and foreign ministers of other European countries, saying that the Joe Biden presidency in the U.S. is an "opportunity to address Israel-Palestinian conflict with renewed effort." "This letter is an important decision to put additional pressure on the occupation government to stop its violations and crimes against Palestinians," said Younes Arar, the head of the international relations department on the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission. "This letter should be followed by pragmatic steps, Israel must be subjected to international sanctions to stop its violations in Palestinian territories," Arar added. "We are looking forward to the European Union will recognize the State of Palestine, and take actions to stop the annexation plans. "The Israeli forces demolished the community of Homsa al-Baqia many times in the presence of the European diplomatic delegations which is insulting to the political and economic strength of the EU," Arar said. The letter decried the rapid progress of the "de facto annexation, especially through accelerated settlement expansion and demolition of Palestinian structures." It added that a record number of demolitions of Palestinian homes was reported last year despite the pandemic. "This letter should be respected and the Palestinians have to use it on their publicity for the Palestinian cause. It's a narrative by the European lawmakers who were elected by their people. It's not just in the Palestinian or Arab tongue. These lawmakers explain their opinion towards unjust Israeli policies," said Bilal al-Shobaki, a political science lecturer at Hebron University. "This letter reflects the gap between the lawmakers and the executive authorities on their countries, that is why these types of letters almost have a limited effect on politics and media but not on the ground. The executive authorities didn't take any step to reflect refusal of what Israel is doing in Palestine," he added. In the letter, the parliamentarians also called on European countries to work with the Biden administration and other parties in the region to "prevent unilateral action undermining the possibility of peace, advance the rights and security of all people under Israel's effective control and build conditions that make a future negotiated agreement possible." "The Biden administration will not follow this letter, but it will not give the green light to Israel to apply any new steps in the annexation plan," al-Shobaki stressed.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that payments made by an Indian resident to a foreign company for import of computer software for sale in India will not be assessed as “royalty". An SC bench, headed by Justice Rohinton F. Nariman, held that such offshore payments for software “will not give rise to any income taxable in India" and, therefore, no liability would accrue for the resident firms to deduct TDS under Section 195 of the Income Tax Act. The bench, which comprised Justices Hemant Gupta and B.R. Gavai, clarified that the ruling will apply to all instances of software purchases directly by an Indian end-user from a foreign supplier or manufacturer, when the resident Indian companies act as distributors or resellers for other residents; or when a foreign distributor resells to Indian users and the software is installed on the device by a foreign supplier for Indian residents. The judgment, which involved approximately ₹500 crore in tax revenue, will impact companies like IBM India Ltd, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, Hewlett Packard India, Mphasis Ltd, Sonata Software Ltd and GE India. It will also be relevant for over 100 firms that import software for sale in India since the payments made by them will now constitute “business income" in the hands of the recipient and in the absence of a permanent establishment of such recipient in India, no tax is required to be withheld at source. The dispute began after the Karnataka high court in 2011 decided in favour of the tax department, holding that payments to non-resident firms for purchase of software should be treated as royalty, obligating the resident companies to deduct TDS at the time of credit of such sum or at the time of payment, whichever is earlier. However, other high courts and the income tax tribunal took divergent views, calling upon the SC to examine the question of law and settle it. Before the top court, the tax department had contended that the sale of copyrighted software should constitute as a grant of an interest in their copyright under the Copyright Act, necessitating the deduction of tax at source. The companies, on the other hand, emphasized that these transactions were in the nature of sale and no part of copyright was transacted since the non-resident continued to have proprietary rights in the software.

Microsoft today announced Azure Percept, its new hardware and software platform for bringing more of its Azure AI services to the edge. Percept combines Microsoft’s Azure cloud tools for managing devices and creating AI models with hardware from Microsoft’s device partners. The general idea here is to make it far easier for all kinds of businesses to build and implement AI for things like object detection, anomaly detections, shelf analytics and keyword spotting at the edge by providing them with an end-to-end solution that takes them from building AI models to deploying them on compatible hardware. To kickstart this, Microsoft also today launches a hardware development kit with an intelligent camera for vision use cases (dubbed Azure Percept Vision). The kit features hardware-enabled AI modules for running models at the edge, but it can also be connected to the cloud. Users will also be able to trial their proofs-of-concept in the real world because the development kit conforms to the widely used 80/20 T-slot framing architecture. In addition to Percept Vision, Microsoft is also launching Azure Percept Audio for audio-centric use cases. “We’ve started with the two most common AI workloads, vision and voice, sight and sound, and we’ve given out that blueprint so that manufacturers can take the basics of what we’ve started,” said Roanne Sones, the corporate vice president of Microsoft’s edge and platform group, said. “But they can envision it in any kind of responsible form factor to cover a pattern of the world.” Percept customers will have access to Azure’s cognitive service and machine learning models and Percept devices will automatically connect to Azure’s IoT hub. Microsoft says it is working with silicon and equipment manufacturers to build an ecosystem of “intelligent edge devices that are certified to run on the Azure Percept platform.” Over the course of the next few months, Microsoft plans to certify third-party devices for inclusion in this program, which will ideally allow its customers to take their proofs-of-concept and easily deploy them to any certified devices. “Anybody who builds a prototype using one of our development kits, if they buy a certified device, they don’t have to do any additional work,” said Christa St. Pierre, a product manager in Microsoft’s Azure edge and platform group. St. Pierre also noted that all of the components of the platform will have to conform to Microsoft’s responsible AI principles — and go through extensive security testing. Early Stage is the premiere ‘how-to’ event for startup entrepreneurs and investors. You’ll hear firsthand how some of the most successful founders and VCs build their businesses, raise money and manage their portfolios. We’ll cover every aspect of company-building: Fundraising, recruiting, sales, legal, PR, marketing and brand building. Each session also has audience participation built-in — there’s ample time included in each for audience questions and discussion.

Is Samsung Galaxy F62 the best phone under Rs. 25,000? On an average day, about a dozen new games are released on Steam. And while we think that's a good thing, it can be understandably hard to keep up with. Potentially exciting gems are sure to be lost in the deluge of new things to play unless you sort through every single game that is released on Steam. So that’s exactly what we’ve done. If nothing catches your fancy this week, we've gathered the best PC games you can play right now and a running list of the 2021 games that are launching this year. Release: February 24 Developer: Spiderweb Software Launch price: $16.99 | £13.16 | AU$24.60 Here's a remaster of the 2001 cult classic indie RPG Geneforge, which not only boosts the graphics to be a bit more palatable on modern displays, but also adds new mechanics, vastly improved UI, inventory management and more. You play as a wizard (known in-game as a "shaper") who can, among other things, create beasts to do their bidding. It's a hefty 50+ hour RPG full of choice and freedom, and it's something I've been meaning to play for years - this seems like the best way to go about that, though the original is still on Steam if you fancy it Release: February 26 Developer: Celery Emblem Launch price: $15.29 | £14.39 | AU$21.55 Another reissue, though this package collates all three episodes of the Baobabs Mausoleum series: a strange 8-bit styled adventure game starring a sentient eggplant, and set in a mysterious town that appears briefly every 25 years. According to the description of the first episode it mixes Monkey Island and Zelda: Link's Awakening with the weirdness of Twin Peaks and SpongeBob. Seems like a good time to try this bizarre concoction. Release: February 25 Developer: Vittorio Banfi Launch price: $19.99 | £19.00 | AU$28.95 This Early Access cyberpunk city builder seems to be fairly early in development, but it looks promising. The star feature is that, in true cyberpunk style, you can build multi-levelled dystopias: buildings can stack on top of each other or even extend beneath the ground. Also, if you want to make your grim futuristic city nice instead of evil, you can do that too, because you can reject corporations and gangs (though I'm sure they'll put up some resistance). The Early Access features are fairly limited, but it's getting a lot of cool stuff between now and when it's expected to launch, which is in about 18 months. Hot Brass Release: February 27 Developer: Walk With Kings Launch price: $11.99 | £9.11 | AU$17.20 Hot Brass is basically a SWAT sim: played from a top down perspective, your job is to be stealthy, tactical, clever and murderous. Because the game is primarily about decision making and thinking ahead, you'll play as icons rather than 3D human models, which is an interesting touch. Some people are calling it a top down SWAT game, which seems pretty accurate, and as a bonus it has 1-4 player online and local cooperative play. These games were released between February 22 and March 1 2021. Some online stores give us a small cut if you buy something through one of our links. Read our affiliate policy for more info.

Schools in the occupied West Bank will shut down for 12 days in an effort to stop a sharp rise in coronavirus variant infections, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said on Saturday, reported Reuters. High schools will be exempt from the closure which will begin on Sunday, Shtayyeh said in a televised address, adding the new restrictions were prompted by a large number of cases of the British and South African variants in the territory. Intensive care units for COVID-19 patients have reached 95% occupancy in the West Bank and schools have been identified as a major cause for the fast spread of infections, the Ministry of Health said. On Thursday, it reported that a randomised sample of coronavirus patients showed that more than three-quarters were infected with the British variant. The World Bank said in a report this week that the Palestinian territories have one of the lowest testing rates in the Middle East and North Africa and that the positivity rate in the West Bank is over 21%, and in Gaza 29%, indicating an uncontrolled spread of the pandemic. Opinion: Israel's vaccine apartheid is a violation of international law The West Bank, where 3.1 million Palestinians live, has reported a total of 118,519 coronavirus cases and 1,406 deaths. Gaza, where coronavirus restrictions have gradually been lifted since January, has reported 55,091 cases and 549 deaths within its po[CENSORED]tion of 2 million. With around 32,000 vaccine doses in hand to date, the Palestinians launched limited vaccination programmes in the West Bank and Gaza this month, beginning with health workers. The Palestinian Authority (PA) expects to receive an initial COVAX shipment within weeks and says it also has supply deals with Russia and drugmaker AstraZeneca, although doses have been slow to come. Shtayyeh said he expected shipments in March. Israel has donated 2,000 doses to the PA but has come under criticism for not supplying more vaccines to the Palestinians. It argues that under interim peace accords the PA is responsible for vaccinations in Gaza and the West Bank.

Reiterating that only a two-state solution will deliver enduring peace that the people of Israel and Palestine deserve, India has said this should be achieved through direct negotiations between both sides on final status issues and any unilateral action which could prejudice these issues must be avoided. India's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador K Nagaraj Naidu said on Friday at the UN Security Council meeting on The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question' that New Delhi reaffirms its support to the Palestinian cause and the establishment of a sovereign, viable and independent State of Palestine living side by side in peace and security with Israel. We firmly believe that only a two-state solution will deliver enduring peace that the people of Israel and Palestine desire and deserve. This should be achieved through direct negotiations between both sides on final status issues. Both sides must avoid any unilateral action which could prejudice these final status issues, he said. Naidu termed the recent diplomatic efforts to revive the stalled peace talks as encouraging and added that the meeting of the Quartet's Special Envoys is timely. India urged the Quartet to initiate engagement with the Israeli and the Palestinian leadership. India welcomes all efforts, which are aimed at strengthening the collective commitment of the international community to resume direct negotiations and facilitate the peace process, Naidu said. Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Personal Representative of the Secretary-General Tor Wennesland told the Council meeting that the global community is focused on helping the parties return to the negotiating table. Earlier this month, the League of Arab States reiterated its support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State based on the 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Envoys of the Middle East Quartet Russia, United States, European Union and United Nations - met virtually on February 15 to discuss the political developments, with all agreeing to meet on a regular basis. Naidu also added that India is pleased to note that preparations for the Palestinian elections are moving forward. The Cairo agreement between the Palestinian parties on the conduct of parliamentary and presidential elections - to abide by the electoral timetable, accept the results of the election and on other election related arrangements - is a positive step in the right direction, he said. Noting that the commitment undertaken by all parties to release political detainees will also help build trust between them, India acknowledged Egypt's efforts in facilitating this agreement. The high percentage of Palestinians, who have registered to vote in the elections, reflects their desire to take part in the democratic process, he said. Wennesland said the holding of free and fair elections in the Palestinian Territory will help clear the path for restoring a legitimate political horizon to realise a long sought two-State solution. The elections will provide a crucial step towards re-establishing Palestinian national unity and renewing the legitimacy of national institutions, including a democratically elected Legislative Council and Government in Palestine, he said. Naidu added that the opening of Rafah border crossing is a significant development, which will ease the humanitarian and health situation in Gaza. India stressed that the pandemic's impact on the people of Gaza has been particularly severe due to the fragile health-care infrastructure. Noting that COVID-19 vaccines are being made available to the people of Palestine, including in Gaza, Naidu said India strongly believes that equity in access to vaccines across the world is important for mitigating the impact of the pandemic. India has provided critical medicines and medical equipment to Palestine as COVID-19 assistance and is now in the process of sending a second batch of medicines as a grant to the Palestinian people in the coming weeks. We will also facilitate an early supply of vaccines to Palestine, Naidu said. On COVID vaccination prospects, Wennesland welcomed the announcement of the Palestinian vaccination strategy and the initial allocation to the Palestinian Ministry of Health of 37,440 doses of vaccines by the COVAX-AMC facility.
