Honda Wants To Be Tough Now In one of the ruder things I’ve seen an automaker do in a while, Honda announced Friday that John Cena would be the voice of its new ad campaign. Cena will replace Honda’s current voice Fred Savage because Cena is tougher than Savage or something, which is weird because Savage’s last name is literally savage. Here’s how Honda explained it to Ad Age: “Fred was great but Fred reflected a key word — and that key word was nice,” he says. The brand wanted a “sound that had more gravitas to it and more room to grow, and if you look at John Cena’s work, that guy does such a breadth of work, from family films to the tough guy image … he’s a car guy,” [Ed Beadle, Honda’s assistant vice president for integrated marketing] adds. This is, uh, all pretty dated and silly, but part of Honda’s campaign with the Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline is to convince buyers that they are buying big bad machines or something. They also changed the Ridgeline’s face to make it look meaner. Honda Ridgeline sales were up nine percent last year, to 33,334, which might be good except Ford sold 896,526 F-Series last year. And so Honda’s bet, I guess, is that it can peel off some fraction of those buyers and Silverado and Ram buyers. And it wouldn’t have to be big fractions to make a pretty big impact on Ridgeline sales. Which, fine! But what I kind of wish Honda would do instead is focus on the things it’s good at—small and medium-sized sedans and SUVs—and not try to copy the Big Three on trucks. Because the Big Three are gonna win every time on trucks. I wish Honda would, you know, stay Fred Savage and less John Cena.

Dealing with Stress - Ten Tips 1. Avoid Caffeine, Alcohol, and Nicotine. Avoid, or at least reduce, your consumption of nicotine and any drinks containing caffeine and alcohol. Caffeine and nicotine are stimulants and so will increase your level of stress rather than reduce it. Alcohol is a depressant when taken in large quantities, but acts as a stimulant in smaller quantities. Therefore using alcohol as a way to alleviate stress is not ultimately helpful. Swap caffeinated and alcoholic drinks for water, herbal teas, or diluted natural fruit juices and aim to keep yourself hydrated as this will enable your body to cope better with stress. You should also aim to avoid or reduce your intake of refined sugars - they are contained in many manufactured foods (even in savoury foods such as salad dressings and bread) and can cause energy crashes which may lead you to feel tired and irritable. In general, try to eat a healthy, well-balanced and nutritious diet. 2. Indulge in Physical Activity Stressful situations increase the level of stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol in your body. These are the “fight or flight” hormones that evolution has hard-wired into our brains and which are designed to protect us from immediate bodily harm when we are under threat. However, stress in the modern age is rarely remedied by a fight or flight response, and so physical exercise can be used as a surrogate to metabolize the excessive stress hormones and restore your body and mind to a calmer, more relaxed state. When you feel stressed and tense, go for a brisk walk in fresh air. Try to incorporate some physical activity into your daily routine on a regular basis, either before or after work, or at lunchtime. Regular physical activity will also improve the quality of your sleep. 3. Get More Sleep A lack of sleep is a significant cause of stress. Unfortunately though, stress also interrupts our sleep as thoughts keep whirling through our heads, stopping us from relaxing enough to fall asleep. Rather than relying on medication, your aim should be to maximise your relaxation before going to sleep. Make sure that your bedroom is a tranquil oasis with no reminders of the things that cause you stress. Avoid caffeine during the evening, as well as excessive alcohol if you know that this leads to disturbed sleep. Stop doing any mentally demanding work several hours before going to bed so that you give your brain time to calm down. Try taking a warm bath or reading a calming, undemanding book for a few minutes to relax your body, tire your eyes and help you forget about the things that worry you. You should also aim to go to bed at roughly the same time each day so that your mind and body get used to a predictable bedtime routine. 4. Try Relaxation Techniques Each day, try to relax with a stress reduction technique. There are many tried and tested ways to reduce stress so try a few and see what works best for you. For example, try self-hypnosis which is very easy and can be done anywhere, even at your desk or in the car. One very simple technique is to focus on a word or phrase that has a positive meaning to you. Words such as "calm" "love" and "peace" work well, or you could think of a self-affirming mantra such as “I deserve calm in my life” or “Grant me serenity”. Focus on your chosen word or phrase; if you find your mind has wandered or you become aware of intrusive thoughts entering your mind, simply disregard them and return your focus to the chosen word or phrase. If you find yourself becoming tense again later, simply silently repeat your word or phrase. Don't worry if you find it difficult to relax at first. Relaxation is a skill that needs to be learned and will improve with practice. 5. Talk to Someone Just talking to someone about how you feel can be helpful. Talking can work by either distracting you from your stressful thoughts or releasing some of the built-up tension by discussing it. Stress can cloud your judgement and prevent you from seeing things clearly. Talking things through with a friend, work colleague, or even a trained professional, can help you find solutions to your stress and put your problems into perspective. 6. Keep a Stress Diary Keeping a stress diary for a few weeks is an effective stress management tool as it will help you become more aware of the situations which cause you to become stressed. Note down the date, time and place of each stressful episode, and note what you were doing, who you were with, and how you felt both physically and emotionally. Give each stressful episode a stress rating (on, say, a 1-10 scale) and use the diary to understand what triggers your stress and how effective you are in stressful situations. This will enable you to avoid stressful situations and develop better coping mechanisms. 7. Take Control Stress can be triggered by a problem that may on the surface seem impossible to solve. Learning how to find solutions to your problems will help you feel more in control thereby lowering your level of stress. One problem-solving technique involves writing down the problem and coming up with as many possible solutions as you can. Decide on the good and bad points of each one and select the best solution. Write down each step that you need to take as part of the solution: what will be done, how will it be done, when will it be done, who is involved and where will it take place. 8. Manage Your Time At times, we all feel overburdened by our 'To Do' list and this is a common cause of stress. Accept that you can not do everything at once and start to prioritise and diarise your tasks. Make a list of all the things that you need to do and list them in order of genuine priority. Note what tasks you need to do personally and what can be delegated to others to do. Record which tasks need to be done immediately, in the next week, in the next month, or when time allows. By editing what might have started out as an overwhelming and unmanageable task list, you can break it down into a series of smaller, more manageable tasks spread out over a longer time frame, with some tasks removed from the list entirely through delegation. Remember as well to create buffer times to deal with unexpected and emergency tasks, and to include time for your own relaxation and well-being. 9. Learn to Say ‘No’ A common cause of stress is having too much to do and too little time in which to do it. And yet in this situation, many people will still agree to take on additional responsibility. Learning to say “No” to additional or unimportant requests will help to reduce your level of stress, and may also help you develop more self-confidence. To learn to say “No”, you need to understand why you find it difficult. Many people find it hard to say “No” because they want to help and are trying to be nice and to be liked. For others, it is a fear of conflict, rejection or missed opportunities. Remember that these barriers to saying “No” are all self-created. You might feel reluctant to respond to a request with a straight “No”, at least at first. Instead think of some pre-prepared phrases to let other people down more gently. Practice saying phrases such as: “I am sorry but I can’t commit to this as I have other priorities at the moment.” “Now is not a good time as I’m in the middle of something. Why don’t you ask me again at….?” “I’d love to do this, but …” 10. Rest If You Are Ill If you are feeling unwell, do not feel that you have to carry on regardless. A short spell of rest will enable the body to recover faster.

North Korea unveils 'monster' new intercontinental ballistic missile at parade Seoul: North Korea unveiled previously unseen intercontinental ballistic missiles at an unprecedented predawn military parade on Saturday that showcased the country's long-range weapons for the first time in two years. Analysts said the missile, which was shown on a transporter vehicle with 11 axles, would be one of the largest road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in the world if it becomes operational. "This missile is a monster," said Melissa Hanham, deputy director of the Open Nuclear Network. Also displayed were the Hwasong-15, which is the longest-range missile ever tested by North Korea, and what appeared to be a new submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM). Ahead of the parade, which was held to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of its ruling Workers' Party, officials in South Korea and the United States said Kim Jong Un could use the event to unveil a new "strategic weapon" as promised earlier this year. A senior U.S. administration official called the display of the ICBM "disappointing" and called on the government to negotiate to achieve a complete denuclearization. The parade featured North Korea's ballistic missiles for the first time since Kim began meeting with international leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, in 2018. The U.S. official said Washington was holding fast to four commitments made by Trump and Kim at their historic meeting in June of that year, including a pledge by Pyongyang to "work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula." Kim made no direct mention of the United States or the now-stalled denuclearization talks. "We will continue to build our national defence power and self-defensive war deterrence," Kim said, but vowed that the country's military power would not be used preemptively. Kim blamed international sanctions, typhoons, and the coronavirus for preventing him from delivering on promises of economic progress. "I am ashamed that I have never been able to repay you properly for your enormous trust," he said. "My efforts and devotion were not sufficient to bring our people out of difficult livelihoods." The video showed Kim make an appearance as a clock struck midnight. Dressed in a grey suit and tie, he waved to the crowd and accepted flowers from children while surrounded by military officials in Pyongyang's recently renovated Kim Il Sung Square. Kim spoke for nearly half an hour, often visibly sweating despite the cool morning air, shedding tears when thanking the troops, and smiling and laughing as he watched the missiles. The parade was highly choreographed, with thousands of troops marching in formation, displays of new conventional military equipment including tanks, and fighter jets launching flares and fireworks. Experts said that the new, larger ICBM is likely designed to carry multiple independent reentry vehicles (MIRVs), allowing it to attack more targets and making interception more difficult. Michael Elleman, director for Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Policy at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, estimated on Twitter that the new large missile could potentially deliver 2,000-3,500 kg "to any point on CONUS," making it more capable than Soviet R-16 or R-26 ICBMs that were never deployed. The new ICBM is likely intended to dispel doubts about North Korea's ability to strike the continental United States, and an implicit threat that they are preparing to test the larger missile, said Markus Garlauskas, a former U.S. intelligence officer for North Korea. "If the Hwasong-15 could carry a 'super-large' nuclear warhead to anywhere in the U.S., then the natural question is what can this larger missile carry?," he said. Pyonyang is widely expected to test the larger missile in coming months, said Riki Ellison, founder of the non-profit Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, sending a message to both Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden. Jenny Town, a fellow at the Stimson Center, said it was unclear if the missile shown was a conceptual or engineering mock-up or a workable prototype. "It seems highly unlikely they would try to deploy this system without testing it at least once," she said. CORONAVIRUS MEASURES Kim became visibly emotional as he thanked the troops for their sacrifice in responding to natural disasters and preventing a coronavirus outbreak. He said he was grateful that not a single North Korean had tested positive for the disease, an assertion that South Korea and the United States have previously questioned. While attendees at other celebratory events were shown wearing masks, no one at the parade appeared to be wearing them. Kim said he hoped that North and South Korea would join hands again when the global coronavirus crisis is over. South Korean officials said this week that Kim could use the event as a "low intensity" show of power ahead of the U.S. presidential election on Nov. 3, as denuclearisation talks with Washington have stalled. In a congratulatory message to Kim for the anniversary, Chinese President Xi Jinping said he intended to "defend, consolidate and develop" ties with North Korea, its state media said on Saturday.

Braindance: The VR Drug of Cyberpunk 2077 | Cyberpunk Lore Here's the story behind one of Cyberpunk's most addictive and useful forms of technology. What if you could relive moments of someone else's life? Imagine you could see what they see, touch what they touch, and feel what they feel, all from the comfort of your own home In Cyberpunk 2077 this kind of tech exists, and it’s called Braindance. In this video, Jake Dekker looks back on the history of one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most po[CENSORED]r forms of entertainment, Braindance. Although Braindance shares some minor similarities with VR headsets, the technology couldn’t be more different. Unlike virtual reality, BD can engage all five senses by stimulating your brain in a variety of ways. This results in a fully immersive experience that lets you live out scripted moments as someone else. While the most obvious use for this tech is *cough* porn, it was originally used to rehabilitate convicted criminals. But like all revolutionary technology, it became a crucial part of culture and its uses extended far beyond just those two things. For more Cyberpunk Lore, be sure to check out our other videos, including our deep-dive on Adam Smasher, the cyborg who almost killed Johnny Silverhand. Cyberpunk 2077 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 19.

DJI Mavic Mini 2 hint suggests cheap 4K drone is preparing for take-off Sequel to DJI's smallest, cheapest drone could be en route... DJI could be about to launch a sequel to its smallest and cheapest drone, with strong hints pointing towards the imminent arrival of the DJI Mavic Mini 2. If you're not familiar with the original DJI Mavic Mini, it arrived in November 2019 and quickly became one of the best drones for beginners, thanks to its smart design and the fact that its 249g body cheekily dipped 1g below the weight required for registration with civil aviation authorities. These are the best drones in the world right now Prime Day 2020: prepare for some possible drone bargains Or check out the best DJI drones you can buy Given that drone arrived less than a year ago, it'd be something of a surprise to see a DJI Mavic Mini 2 so soon, but that's what a new FCC (Federal Communications Commission) filing in the US strongly suggests. The new filing, picked up by DJI drone pilot @OsitaLV on Twitter, shows a new device's battery with the placeholder name "Camera Drone" and a model number that is very similar to the original Mavic Mini. That isn't the only clue the filing gives us either – on the FCC site, a document contains the battery information and a basic look at the back of the drone. If you compare this with the current Mavic Mini, there's certainly a strong similarity (as you can see in the comparison further down). The filing suggests the Mavic Mini 2's battery will be a similar size to its predecessor's and the new drone will also likely use Enhanced Wi-Fi for connectivity. We found the Mavic Mini disconnected from its controller at around 60 meters away, so it'll be interesting to see if this range can be improved on the new model. So what new features might the DJI Mavic Mini 2 bring? DJI is probably going to be slightly hamstrung by the need to keep the drone's weight at 249g (or below) due to legislation in countries like the US and UK. The latter states that drones weighing 250g or more need to be registered with civil aviation authorities. This means the Mavic Mini 2 could well be a minor upgrade, though one obvious improvement would be the inclusion of 4K video shooting. One of the biggest limitations of the current Mavic Mini is that it lacks the ability to shoot 4K or 2.7K/60p video, so a boost in that department seems highly likely. We'd also love to see it get the object tracking powers seen in more powerful drones like the DJI Mavic Air 2. This would be a good fit for such a beginner-friendly drone, though whether it's a step too far for a $399 / £369 / AU$599 model (assuming it has a similar price tag to the Mavic Mini) isn't yet clear. Judging by the FCC filing, which normally points to an imminent launch, we won't have to wait long to find out.

The Ram 1500 TRX will have more than 100 factory-backed Mopar accessories Aside from being a supercharged, 702-horsepower, jacked and juiced scud missile ready to eviscerate desert terrain, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has one other crucial trait going for it. It’s a Mopar vehicle, which means this already wild pickup will have access to a whole catalogue of factory-backed aftermarket parts. Today, Ram announced plans to offer more than 100 factory-engineered accessories for the TRX. Some of the parts are purely cosmetic, while others offer real improvements to the capability of the pickup. To protect the TRX’s rocker panels from hard impacts while skittering over rocky terrain, there’s a set of black powder-coated rock rails for $1195. If you’re looking at the side-profile of the TRX and thinking that it’s a bed bar away from being a great modern adaptation of the Macho Dodge Power Wagon from the late-’70s, the RamBar has you covered for a cool $1195. Because we’re here for form and function, be sure to snag the 5-inch LED off-road lights while you’re in there as well—each one pumps 4800 lumens of light out yonder as you chase the horizon after dark. ou get the idea. There are plenty of items to outfit the truck however you want. As other automakers work to build out their factory-backed accessory lines (hello, Ford Bronco), it’s great to see the Mopar crew continue to throw the catalogue at models clearly designed to appeal to the creative enthusiast in all of us. Ram plans to deliver the first TRXs to customers before the end of the year—all 702 Launch Edition trucks were spoken for in less than four hours—so we won’t have long to wait before we see these trucks out and about, raft of accessories and all.

How to become a Successful Team Leader? Got promoted to a team leader and excited about your new role? Is this your first experience in leading a team? Many congratulations on stepping into the first step of a Leadership role. Though it's very exciting I understand that you might be concerned and fretful about the new role particularly how to succeed in it. Who is a leader? A leader is "a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal" Leadership is an art of motivating people to act towards accomplishing a common goal. Effective leadership is to inspire people and engage the team through effective communication. To make it even simpler, Leader is a director of any action taken by the team. It’s not necessary that the ideas which are being implemented by the leader should be original, it can also be borrowed, and however, a leader is the one who discusses the ideas with the team to come up with the implementable ones and implements the same. How to be a good team leader? What do you think as a first step you need to know to become a good team leader? Let's look at the first success secret. As a team member you might have concerned more about your success and your career but to become a good team leader you should concern more about your team’s success and team member’s career. Top 3 Qualities of a Good Team Leader: 1. Optimistic: As rightly said by Winston Churchill, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” An optimistic leader will look for an opportunity even in a difficult situation. He or she would never quit even the situation is worst or going against the plan. It’s essential for the leader to have this quality as it would boost up the entire team to work positively towards the common goal. 2. Competence and Warmth: It’s also important for the leader to be competitive and updated. Stephens Richards Covey mentions the same in one of his most po[CENSORED]r book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” as one of the 8 habits which are “Sharpen the Saw” According to Covey, one must keep educating the conscience in order to develop and grow further. Gaining knowledge in and out of the work would help leaders to maintain a good relationship and create a professional network. Knowledgeable leaders are always respected much by the team. While gaining knowledge leaders should be kind and approachable. A team is a group of different people having different skills. There might be a team member who may not be able to communicate fluently or uncomfortable in talking in front of the team. Being kind with the team would help the leaders to find those hidden talents. 3. Planning and Prioritization: Without proper planning, a leader cannot direct the team and achieve the best results. To become the best leader, it’s highly recommended to have proper planning before thinking about the other steps. In this demanding and fast moving technology world, it has become very common to not spend enough time for planning. No planning or improper planning would impact more in terms of cost, quality and schedule. It would also impact the credibility of the management and the team. Stephen Covey says” The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule but to schedule your priorities” Break the larger goals into smaller goals and prioritize them in the way that it’s easy to achieve. Discuss it with the team and tune it if required. Managing every day is very important for a leader. True leaders always try the ways to develop the habit of time management and work organization skills. Six traits of a successful leader 1. Delegation "When you delegate tasks, you create followers. When you delegate authority, you create leaders" As a leader, one should learn how to delegate the work and what to. The right delegation would impact their team members’ career positively and help to build their career. This would also help to elevate successive leaders through succession planning. This is one of the responsibilities of a leader, However; remember leaders can only delegate their authority and not their responsibilities. Things to remember when delegating: Recognizing the right person, as picking the wrong person causes a major failure. Compare the required skill set and the skill set of the person whom you are willing to assign Choose the real talent based on the objective criteria. Discuss and have open communication with the team on the roles and responsibilities. 2. Letting others speak “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” – George Washington A successful leader will encourage others to speak up. They will always be surrounded by the people who are smarter than them. They will listen what others say and understand other’s perspective as well. They are true professionals and make sure that the environment is comfortable for everyone to share their opinions and views. By giving the freedom of sharing their opinions they encourage the team to be more innovative and creative. 3. Leading by Example: "Lead with direction, and try to lead by Example” Leading by example may sound easy but only a few leaders could be successful and consistent with this. Practising what they preach with their action is very difficult particularly for the new leaders. I would like to share my personal experience on this. When I was working in one of the MNC Company as a Supervisor, I noticed that the team members were not coming regularly to the shift timing which typically starts at 6.30 AM. As a new Supervisor of the team, I did not want to insist them to come on time. Instead, though it was not mandated I started coming to office by 6.15 AM. Within a week's time, all the team members were present on time to the shift. This might be a small example but would help to understand the impact the leader can create an action. Before others find shortfall successful leaders would realize proactively and change the results. 4. Continuous and honest feedback: Providing continuous and honest feedback would help team members to identify their areas of improvement. Also, remember it should happen in both the ways. True leaders should also seek the feedback from their team members to get to know about their areas of improvement. They will also analyze the same and act on it if required. These feedback sessions should happen continuously to maintain the good health of the team. 5. Recommendation and rewards: "Recognising and rewarding the right talents at the right place at the right time is vital for successful leader". Retaining talents is one of the main objectives of a good team leader. The reward doesn't mean to be monetary and can just be an appreciation through an email or an appreciation in a team meeting. This would alleviate the team motivation. As a perfect leader, it is important to be open, honest and unbiased while recognizing and rewarding the team members. 6. Accountable for Failures and sharing success: Blaming team members for any failure would impact the inventive environment of the team. By doing this the team would hesitate to take any creative and innovative steps. As a lead, taking accountability for any Failures will lead the team members being more independent and creative. While providing the freedom and hassle-free environment, leads should also learn how to get the control of the activities performed by the team members. While taking the accountability of the failures, effective leaders will not own the success rather they will share it with the team.

Markets rally as central bank keeps hopes of a rebound alive The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI’s) decision to enhance liquidity and revive growth in its monetary policy review drove equities higher on Friday. The renewed talk of another round of US stimulus also helped global markets rise. The BSE Sensex ended at 40,509.49, gaining 326.82 points or 0.81%. The Nifty closed at 11,914.20, adding 79.60 points or 0.67%. India government bond prices rallied after RBI said it will double the purchase size of open market operations (OMOs) and also use it for state bonds. The 10-year bond yield fell 8 basis points (bps) to 5.937%, a level that was last seen on 4 September. Bond yields and prices move in opposite directions. The government bond auction on Friday saw the cut off yield at 5.94% on the 10-year g-sec paper. Bids of ₹13,000 crore were received in the auction. Earlier, RBI had declined to accept bids at government bond auctions on four consecutive occasions as it fought to cool the benchmark yields, which had crossed 6%. Analysts cheered RBI’s announcement of key measures to ensure non-disruptive financing of the fiscal deficit and sent a “whatever it takes" signal to the bond market. Shares of banks and financial service companies led the rally in the stock markets on Friday, following the central bank’s announcements of on-tap targeted long term repo operations and OMOs, which will help maintain a good level of funds at cheap rates from RBI to the industry. Furthermore, rationalization of risk weights for home loans are expected to help banks and non-bank lenders reduce provisions and enhance operational flexibility. RBI’s dovish intent through a combination of clear, dovish forward guidance, liquidity commitments, and bond-supportive measures will ensure broad-based policy transmission, despite unchanged policy rates, according to Nomura. It expects a cumulative 50 bps policy rate cuts, distributed across the December and February policy meetings. However, positive growth expectations by the March 2021 quarter are a bit optimistic, said Tanvee Gupta Jain, economist, UBS Securities India Pvt. Ltd. “While the rural economy is recovering faster and supply-side constraints are easing, the turnaround in urban demand will likely be gradual," Gupta said. The markets will keep a close watch on how the September quarter corporate earnings pan out, while the US stimulus package is expected to usher in more foreign money into Indian equities. Meanwhile, the Indian rupee touched a one-month high of 73.03, before closing at 73.15 at the end of the day, up 0.13% against the dollar.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales On PS4 And PS5 Has Gone Gold And just before Miles Morales drops, a prequel novel will set the stage for the expansion. Developer Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has gone gold, meaning it's ready to be distributed to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12. Insomniac's original game, Marvel's Spider-Man, has been making headlines lately due to its confusing messaging around save data transfer and upgrade eligibility. Similar to Remedy Entertainment's Control, Spider-Man: Remastered is not a free upgrade for PS4 owners. Players will have to buy the $70 Miles Morales Ultimate Edition if they want the enhanced Spider-Man: Remastered on PS5. Furthermore, save files will not transfer between systems. While the original Spider-Man's policies between PS4 and PS5 may leave some frustrated, Insomniac has confirmed that save data for the Miles Morales expansion will carry over between consoles. One of the biggest changes made in Spider-Man: Remastered is Peter Parker himself. Specifically, Insomniac choose to recast the face model for the game's protagonist to better match actor Yuri Lowenthal's facial capture. (And he looks a lot more like Tom Holland, too.) Juniper Networks unveils VPN offering Juniper Secure Connect supports both IPSec and SSL-VPN Juniper Networks has released a number of new additions to its security portfolio, including a VPN, to provide organizations with deeper network visibility and extend security policies and access control beyond the main office. As IT professionals can only secure what they can see, extensive network visibility is a must for organizations with remote users and IoT devices. At the same time, the pandemic and the shift to remote working has drastically changed where and how employees work which has introduced a greatly expanded attack surface almost overnight. Amazon Prime Day deals: see all the best early offers right here. To solve these challenges, Juniper extends visibility and security policy to any device wherever it may be and adapts access to the network and threat protection to stop targeted attacks as they occur. We've put together a list of the best secure VPN providers around These are the best business VPN solutions on the market Secure your entire network with one of the best VPN routers Juniper Secure Connect Even before employees began working from home at the level they do so today, organizations were already starting to move toward distributed networks, reinforcing the importance of a secure and reliable connection to their corporate networks. To provide secure remote access to remote workers, Juniper Networks has created Juniper Secure Connect which supports both IPSec and SSL-VPN with a simple configuration process that uses built-in automation to ensure optimal performance and connectivity. The company's new VPN solution enables organizations to quickly achieve dynamic, flexible and adaptable connectivity on any device reducing risk by extending visibility and enforcement from client to cloud. VP of security business and strategy at Juniper Networks Samantha Madrid provided further insights on the company's latest additions to its security portfolio in a press release, saying: “Many vendors talk about Zero Trust and providing secure access end-to-end to address the dynamic nature of threats, especially with a largely remote workforce accessing the corporate network from home and the increase in IoT devices. But Juniper truly delivers on this vision. We’re extending security in ways that turn ‘dumb pipes’ into intelligent sensors and enforcement points that are able to dynamically optimize protections as attacks are happening. We can provide comprehensive visibility across an organization into who and what is on the network and give our customers the means to limit their risk with minimal impact to their end users.”

The Jaguar XE forsakes U.S. shores for 2021 Jaguar announced a reshuffled 2021 product portfolio for the U.S. market yesterday, and as the company continues to adapt to a changing market landscape, it confirmed that the XE entry-level luxury sedan has come to the end of its road. Predictably, Jaguar’s lineup will focus heavily on crossover SUVs led by the F-Pace, Jag’s best-selling model after just four years on the market. Rounding out the SUV selection is the smaller E-Pace—the new lowest rung on the Jaguar ladder—and the all-electric I-Pace. The recently-updated XF midsize sedan has been reconfigured for 2021 to straddle both the entry-level and midsize sedan segments, thanks to a lower starting price of $45,145 (destination included). Thankfully, the drop-dead gorgeous Jaguar F-Type soldiers on as the brand’s halo car, benefitting from a makeover announced late last year for the 2021 model year. While we’re sad to see another sedan leave American soil, we’re not shocked about the XE’s fate. When it arrived in U.S. showrooms in 2016, the XE was touted as a BMW 3 Series fighter, but for the most part, that battle never really materialized. Despite compelling powertrain options—including supercharged 3.0-liter V-6, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and a turbodiesel four-cylinder—the XE never leapt above the competition, even with the aural appeal of the supercharged six. A lackluster interior combined with an infotainment system that seemed to fritz more than function didn’t help, either. By 2016, the ship had sailed for sedans as sales leaders. Buyers had long since turned their interests to blobby SUVs and stilted crossovers, and the sales numbers made the XE’s fate clear: Jag sold fewer than 10,000 XEs per year in the U.S. since 2016, failing to crack even 5000 the past two years. Elsewhere, the XE will live on, replete with three different powertrain choices—all 2.0-liter turbo fours, two gas-fed and one diesel-powered. Like the XF, it gets Jaguar’s newest Pivi Pro infotainment system. We can only hope this setup will be less bug-riddled than the one that it replaces. As market tastes continue to skew away from sedans to SUVS , Jaguar’s portfolio changes seem sensible, if a bit dismaying.
