  1. At the start of 2016, there was hardly any hype surrounding Gearbox's Battleborn, no doubt some of the fans of Gearbox were interested in the game but it flew under the radar for a lot of players (I am among one of them). Gearbox Software and 2K Games did not spend much on advertising Battleborn, and if you decide to make a list of MUST Play GAMES, Battleborn failed to make it to the list as it was low on the hyper meter. This means gaming community have little to no expectations from Battleborn, and this strategy seems to have worked out in favor of everyone: Gearbox, 2K and Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre fans. Let us take a look at the things we like the most in Battleborn. Art Style: The art direction and style is one of the major selling points of the game, there might be few players who will feel it is a miss but does have a realistic Wildstar feel to it. Gearbox managed to bring together a fun and beautiful looking art style that matches with the feel of the game. No doubt, currently in the market there is the ton of realistic looking games but not many developers manages to do what Gearbox achieved with Battleborn? just look at the recently released Battlefront 3, it looks gorgeous but lack a depth. Great Sense of Humor: The storyline is not that good, but it is a realistic one added with a great sense of humor. The cut-scenes that play feels like a quality cartoon is playing on the screen. The only factor that I felt is amiss here is that there is no lip movement of the characters, and this makes the story play like a graphic novel game. However, there are many interesting parts in the story and we should give credit of it to Gearbox for pulling things off smoothly. For those who are not a big supporter of humor and want to have some serious fun: DON"T EVEN THINK OF OWING Battleborn. Gameplay and Performance On PC: Things are not at all complicated when it comes to gameplay element as Battleborn managed to balance things perfectly with shooter and MOBA elements. The wide variety of characters available in the game feels very different personalities and some amazing voice acting. Once you get used to the game there is no doubt that you will be playing it for a long time. Battleborn might see some damage in terms of sales considering the fact that it is releasing just within a few weeks of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and DOOM. There are many reports on the internet stating that the game runs smoothly for Nvidia cards users but things are completely different for AMD cards user. Battleborn is not the first game with such type of report about performance on PC, so we advise players to give some time to Gearbox to fix things up with AMD. Not As Fun As Overwatch: Battleborn was expected to be great (but GOOD will be the right adjective to describe it now) and can be fun with friends but compared to Overwatch it is severely lacking. If you are a fan of Gearbox and the work the studio has done on Borderlands franchise then you will most likely enjoy Battleborn as well, but Overwatch from Blizzard will be a better option if there is any sort of doubts when it comes to picking just one game among the two. The best reason I can provide for going with Overwatch is that anyone that knows gaming knows that Blizzard is where it is at. Gearbox Missed A Trick To Go One Against Overwatch: In Battleborn, Gearbox showed some positive sign that they managed to put some quality elements in the game, however, there are some negative signs which hint that the studio was just left stunned and seems like they don't really known what exactly they are doing. Firstly, the single player portion (multiplayer story mission) requires a beefy internet connection, and this doesn't make any sense at all. Most of the game is on the developer's server side so if any untoward or major hiccups occurs in connection players will experience rubberbanding. Gearbox missed a trick here to go one up against Overwatch. The studio could have easily gone with an exclusive offline singleplayer experience but instead, they choose to cluster the entire game together on a multiplayer platform. Campaign: The campaign missions in Battleborn are 40 minutes plus each and yet they don't have any checkpoints, so if your teams fails, have fun starting from the beginning. Pros: Borderlands Style Humor Variety of playable Heroes Campaign and multiplayer Well balanced gameplay Cons: Players who drop out are not replaced with new people Minor FPS issues on certain levels. No checkpoints in Campaign After every match, you need to find a new lobby. trail :

  7. The fact we're exclusively looking at better graphics when it comes to PlayStation 4.5 rumors states on its own a couple things we should be aware about. First: we're generally satisfied with the outcome of current console for whatever we could take into account apart from graphics. Second: we don't like how graphics are in comparison with the most powerful platform out there, PC, and are looking into something more. Well, the second point is actually pretty easy to understand, and this has basically happened to every generation of consoles we look at. The thing that should make us think about the quality of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in terms of power is we're just three years (a bit less) away from their launch – this is something we usually get into after five, six years of playing those consoles' games. So, it is clear something went wrong when it came to define people's tastes in relation with "new console". The idea itself of what was "new" got misinterpreted by Sony and Microsoft, who thought, especially the latter, gamers would have bought another console even though it didn't represent a high end hardware for at least the foreseeable [CENSORED]ure. Is this anything we can criticize platform holders about? Well, honestly, when I looked at PS4 and Xbox One's specs at their announces, I thought those were pretty powerful consoles. I mean, they got equipped with 8GB RAM and, at the time, I was writing down stuff on a 4GB Apple Macbook. That system wasn't meant to allow me to play high end games but, you know, that's double the RAM I had at my disposal back in 2013. The problem here is we are used to compare PC and consoles when it comes to gaming and to defining what's good in graphics. That's an habit we have since the early PSone days, when a console was built for gaming and, for that purpose, was better equipped than a personal computer. We still believe consoles should provide us with graphics better or at least on par with what PCs are capable of, which is not possible anymore. Personal computer's technology is evolving too fast and, unless gaming console don't manage to follow that evolution, the gap is not going to fill up anytime soon. The main question today is how platform holders can fill that gap up. Microsoft's Phil Spencer recently opened up at the idea we could get hardware upgrades for Xbox One, but that was a shy effort to see how people would react to that proposal, since he was pretty fast in getting back on his own steps and say the Redmond giant is not thinking about that for the short term [CENSORED]ure. Sony is rumored to be working behind the scene to a new model of PlayStation 4, the one we were talking about in the introduction to this article, which would be called PS4.5 or PS4K. But, again, how's that supposed to be working? Is it going to be a completely new PlayStation, with new games not to be supported by the older model? Is it going to be a new model with a higher resolution and slight technology advantages in comparison with – still compatible – regular PlayStation 4? Is there any plan for trade-ins? And so on. Those are all doubts only Sony can sort out, and it will probably do that at E3 2016. My question would be how they can even think to sell a 4K PlayStation without charging the hell out of us, considering which is the current cost for us to get a 4K personal computer, but surely I'm curious to hear more from them. As I said, there are a few things gamers would need Sony to implement in this brand new PlayStation or PlayStation 4, apart from graphics which are going to be defined by the relationship between hardware cost and hardware price at retail. The first thing I'm thinking about is sure enough a "new" DualShock 4, let's call it DualShock 4.5, with a new pair of analogue sticks since the current one really suck, and the chance to completely turn the lightbar off. Launching another PlayStation is the best occasion the Japanese platform holder will ever have to fix this. Letting people record more than 15-minute long clips right from their PlayStation would be another great addition, including a higher resolution to their videos. Now you can record your own play sessions but you can't upload more than 720p resolution videos, which is pretty decent but not great if you want to make sure your games are as brilliant as you see them on your TV. More addition would also include a higher number of USB ports. Currently, you only have two ports positioned on the front of the console, which is pretty unusual since Xbox One also have a port on the rear and former PlayStation consoles allowed players to use USB devices right from behind the power button. This is something we're pretty sure Sony would work upon, since PlayStation VR also requires a USB port to be free and up&running to connect its external unit. Uh and, yes, PlayStation 4.5 should also allow us to use PlayStation VR without that boring external unit. Sony has a history in making power charger internal, and PS4 isn't an exception in that, so why you shouldn't grab the occasion of offering that with PSVR as well? Maybe with a good looking re-design of the console itself, just like it has always happened with slim versions (PS3 had many of those…).

  8. People are increasingly more disappointed by PlayStation Plus and the quality of free games offered by Instant Game Collection. After March's only top quality game was Broforce, an indie title indeed, it was clear Sony had to do something in order to face their criticism. Things have gone a little better this month. April's free titles for subscribers include Zombi, an AAA title or kind of, although digital and a remaster of a Wii U's former exclusive. Anyway I think this is what players want to see right now, games that make some sense when played and are not original ideas hidden behind 8bit graphics. recent survey conducted by Reddit users (about 4,000 gamers) states only 23.1% of those who own a PlayStation console are satisfied with how Sony is sorting things out when it comes to PlayStation Plus – a percentage which is too low in comparison with previous months and years. The Japanese platform holder is losing traction and I even notice that while covering daily news: until a few months ago, PlayStation Plus free games' announcement was among the most awaited and ultimately read news, while today there's much less anticipation for that. How could Sony fix PlayStation Plus, then? Paradoxically, since they've started after Instant Game Collection, Microsoft is doing better with Games with Gold, and there's a lot to learn there. 1: Offer AAA Games Every Month Sony should definitely start to offer AAA titles every month. If you look at it a bit more carefully, you'll notice people won't care much about how old are those titles – they just look at the fact those games would require them to spend $30/40+ if not provided for free by platform holders. Lords of the Fallen is a recent example of that. So, why don't they offer Knack? Killzone: Shadow Fall? Launch titles would be a great fit and I know sooner or later this is going to happen. 2: Repeat Rocket League Huge Success Apart from launching AAA and launch titles, Sony needs to repeat the Rocket League huge success. They can do it by risking, providing a huge amount of trust to developers and carefully selecting them to be the ones to build up a true elite – the games releasing free with PlayStation Plus since day one. This is something Sony has been working on with indie developers – and it is offering a few games releasing free from the very first moment, too – but should ultimately extend to $3060 retail or digital titles. While I say this I think about Hellblade, which is a good example of the kind of productions I would include in this "program". 3: Enjoy Free Games When PS Plus Subscription Expires Let gamers enjoy their free titles also when the subscription is expired. If you offer them free games they don't care about and they still know those games don't legally belong to them, they'll just get mad at you the way like it's currently happening. By telling players they own the indie games you' offering them would instantly make them more interested. This is something Microsoft has adopted too while carrying Games With Gold on Xbox One, but the situation there is much different there, since people have been generally satisfied with games offered by the American platform holder for the last months. 4: Strong Discounted Steam-Like Sales PlayStation Plus was once the emblem of how you can get good value in gaming for a very low price. Now, I wouldn't ask Sony to offer free online multiplayer all over again with PlayStation 4, but Steamlike sales, with strong discounted on a fixed basis for those who own a subscription, could be a great solution to make that happen again. I don't feel current sales change anything yet. I want to see those "60%!!!" sales on consoles too and PlayStation could be the best place for this to happen, since the userbase is so big Sony would recover the amount lost on each sale by summing up all of the sales. And they would be paid for the subscription as well. 5: Great Classics To Instant Game Collection Program Add great classics to the Instant Game Collection monthly titles. I would just literally "add" them to the current offer, meaning that we would have PS4, PS3, PS Vita games and, after them, PlayStation classics like Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil and more. That wouldn't be an expensive move on Sony's hand and more importantly they would carry over the nostalgic users, which are a lot and usually are opinion leader. Making them happy could mean make many Internet users happy as well, and that could help changing PS Plus' public image now. These are our 5 top suggestions for Sony to get back to PlayStation Plus' origins, when the service was a fan favorite and free games offered by it set a new standard for competitors to try and achieve. Don't forget to share yours in the comments below and, by the way, don't forget you could just don't renew your subscription if you don't like those free games or simply consider them a bonus/something you could discover and fall in love with even though you don't know what the heck it is.

  10. A new Xbox One model could be definitely introduced at E3 2016, as Microsoft has requested FCC to test two different models' wi-fi capabilities. One Xbox model has the very same user manual we have in the boxes now available on the market, while the other... well, it's pretty different and could be a brand new hardware. ased on info gathered by a NeoGaf user, Microsoft has issued two different models at Federal Communication Commission. The first, dubbed 1682, uses the same user manual as the Xbox One model now on the market; the second, 1683, is instead different and has two information embargoes expiring on June 25 and July 29. The first date is dangerously close to E3 2016, where Microsoft could unleash a new Xbox One model in response to recent PlayStation 4.5 rumors. As technical specs are still under embargo, we don't know how different this new Xbox One could possibly be from the one now available. It could include a different and more powerful hardware, or instead be just an aesthetic revision. We'll learn more in the few coming days with more rumors and, sure enough, in June at Microsoft's E3 press briefing.

  11. Far Cry Primal, the latest installment in Far Cry franchise arrived on retail shelves across the globe on February 23. Ubisoft took a bold move of travelling way back in time to 10,000 BC for setting i.e. the time where tribes, mammoths and tigers roam freely on the Earth. This decision of Ubisoft has shunted Far Cry franchise in a new territory, and the way they promoted the game it look like a calculated risk, but the main question that needs to be answered here is: did this gamble paid off? Let us try to find out the answer in our review below. In Far Cry Primal, you take on the role of TAKKAR, a member of oppressed Wneja tribe, who is on a quest to reclaim his homeland of Oros from the cannibalistic Udam. Setting Changes Gameplay Dramatically: 10,000 BC setting indeed brings a refresh feeling and development team at Ubisoft did a smart piece of work. The atmosphere and the scope are the two main highlights of Far Cry Primal. The guns and the explosives have been replaced with clubs, spears and bows. The lack of explosive firepower is covered handsomely by melee combat and shooting arrows and spears, it feels fun and responsive, and the addition of wildlife is like an icing on the cake. Graphics and Visuals: Comparing graphics and visuals of Far Cry Primal with Far Cry 4 and arguing which one looks better is a valid argument, but from the off Primal is one of the latest examples of why PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are impressive. Take into consideration whatever you can, right from the sheer size and scope or how stunning it looks to get any of the top spot and stares in amazed the stunning lust world, draw distance and other things. The game is powered by Dunia Engine 2, one of the most powerful engine available right now. Mark my word guys, Far Cry Primal looks absolutely stunning on Xbox One (although native resolution is 1440X1080p), Oros is a sight to behold no matter what time (Day or Night), and if you want a much better graphical experience than wait for PC port which is scheduled to launch on March 1. Animals: All the creatures are an integral part of Far Cry Primal. Initially, things start with hunting them for survival but as the game progress, it expands to crafting using remains of animals. In addition to this, Far Cry Primal allow players to tame predators to ride and act as a companion and help in your quest by fighting for your side against enemies. Each and every action you perform as Takkar in Far Cry Primal is aiming at regrouping your tribe and building up your village. To level up your weapons and upgrade your village, you will be constantly searching for items such as stones, plants, animal hide and many other things. During this process only you will receive access to new story missions and abilities. The one thing that returns from past Far Cry game is outposts and they are called here as camps and hideouts. These things act as fast-travel hubs, the place to take a rest, place loot for players. Indeed, these hideouts and camps will feel like a filler element to extend gameplay but no one should be surprised as recent Far Cry games have been like that only. However, considering the open nature of Far Cry Primal, these elements will still be fun and exciting. Conclusion: Far Cry Primal new setting bet definitely paid off really well. It definitely brings refresh feel to the franchise. Combat mechanics, depth in crafting, taming and village building brings together a joyful experience which Far Cry loyal fans will cherish for many months to come, and if you are a newcomer to the series then this is the best Far Cry game to try out.

  12. Naughty Dog and Sony have just released a new Uncharted 4: A Thief's End CGI trailer called "Heads or Tails". The video, 30 second long, is being offered in theaters right before the beginning of some important and most recent movies, such as Batman v Superman in Australia as reported by many sources and more. As you can see, the clip starts with protagonist Nathan Drake in a burning place, wondering about his life and if it was all worth it. The action scenes include a cave, a forest and the ocean, presumably offering some insights about the locations we'll be playing in during the adventure. As for the characters, we can see Nathan interact with his wife Elena and his brother Sam, cooperating with him in the most dangerous situations and circumstances we'll have to face throughout A Thief's End. Uncharted 4 is releasing on May 10 exclusively for PlayStation 4. The game is already gold, meaning that development work at Naughty Dog has been completed and only operations such as printing and marketing it have been left by now.
