The AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT 'RDNA 3' graphics card 'alleged' specifications have been revealed by Greymon55. The new specifications align with what we have previously heard but it looks like AMD could be planning to introduce multiple Navi 31 SKUs in the coming Radeon RX 7000 series family. AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT To Feature 15360 RDNA 3 Cores, Massive 32 GB Memory With 512 MB Infinity Cache & Up To 2.5 GHz Clocks at 500W TBP The AMD RDNA 3 based Navi 31 GPU has been in the talks for a while now. It is insane that we know so much about this GPU through rumors and leaks. That's also one reason why we should treat all of this information with a grain of salt although the leakers and sources that have been posting the details are quite reliable based on their previous information drops. Note, this post is not an April Fool's story and Greymon55 even confirms so in his replies. So starting off with the AMD Navi 31 GPU, the flagship RDNA 3 chip, which would power the next-generation Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card. Olrak29_ managed to assemble a block diagram of the chip based on all the rumors that were floating over on Twitter. We have heard that AMD will drop CU (Compute Units) in favor of WGP (Work Group Processors) on its next-gen RDNA 3 GPUs. The Navi 31 GPU configuration shown here features two GCD's (Graphics Core Die) and a single MCD (Multi-Cache Die). Each GCD has 3 Shader Engines (6 in total) and each Shader Engine has 2 Shader Arrays (2 per SE / 6 per GCD / 12 in total). Each Shader Array is composed of 5 WGPs (10 per SE / 30 per GCD / 60 in total) and each WGP features 8 SIMD32 units with 32 ALUs (40 SIMD32 per SA / 80 per SE / 240 per GCD / 480 in total). These SIMD32 units combine to make up 7,680 cores per GCD and 15,360 cores in total. The Navi 31 (RDNA 3) MCD will be linked to the dual GCD's via a next-generation Infinity Fabric interconnect and feature 256-512 MB of Infinity Cache. Each GPU should also feature 4 memory connect links (32-bit). That's a total of 8 32-bit memory controllers for a 256-bit bus interface. AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT 'RDNA 3' Graphics Card Specifications So based on the alleged information, the flagship graphics card within the Radeon RX 7000 series lineup, the AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT will utilize the flagship Navi 31 GPU configuration, rocking a total of 15360 stream processors that will be clocked in at 2.5 GHz. We don't know if this is the max clock speed but it's an 11% improvement in max clocks over the Radeon RX 6900 XT and delivers 38.4 TFLOPs of effective FP32 compute horsepower. That's a 67% improvement in compute over the RX 6900 XT. The card will also feature a 200W higher TBP over the 6900 XT with a 500W TBP rating, an increase of 67% too. As for the memory configuration, the AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT is expected to feature twice the memory capacity at 32 GB versus 16 GB on the current flagship. The card will retain its 256-bit memory bus interface but faster (21 Gbps) GDDR6 dies can allow AMD to hit higher than 512 GB/s internal bandwidth (Up To 672 GB/s). As for the Infinity Cache design, that also doubles with 512 MB onboard the Navi 31 GPU. These specifications sure sound monstrous and enough to tackle NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40 'Ada Lovelace' lineup. Another thing that I wanted to add is that we have heard from our own sources that AMD isn't planning to adopt the new 16-pin (12+4) connector standard any time soon or at least on its Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. The reasoning we have been told is that AMD believes it isn't stable yet but it looks like AMD's design for the 7000 series was complete prior to the introduction of the standard. The AMD RDNA 3 'Navi 3X' GPU-powered Radeon RX graphics card lineup is expected to offer up to 3x performance improvement over existing RDNA 2 offerings. It would mark a major leap forward for graphics evolution and now that AMD is already onboard with next-gen technologies such as FSR 2.0 and Raytracing, expect a very heated next-gen competition between the red and green teams while the blue team tries to play catch up. AMD RDNA GPU (Generational Comparison) Preliminary: GPU Name Navi 10 Navi 21 Navi 31 GPU Process 7nm 7nm 5nm (6nm?) ASRock is known for its premium AMD Ryzen and Radeon-based systems used in personal computing, such as the gaming market, and business and industrial settings, such as data centers. The company has also assisted the crypto mining community, but not in a well-publicized manner. In fact, due to the lack of total advertising from the company, including a dedicated website for their crypto mining products, any current or new information about any digital currency technology is heard from well-known leakers on the Internet or from sellers of ASRock's products. Repurposed Sony PS5 AMD APUs to handle the hash rates and processing on ASRock's unadvertised crypto mining rig Twitter leaker KOMACHI_ENSAKA discovered the newest discovery of a crypto mining rig manufactured by ASRock. ASRock manufactured the recent crypto mining rig selling on the Slovanian website Bohla, an online product-selling website similar to most eCommerce sites covering several niche markets. The website lists a crypto mining rig manufactured by ASRock that houses twelve AMD BC-250 mining cards for $15,059.13. Upon further investigation, the crypto mining system is also listed on several other European eCommerce stores. The AMD BC-250 mining cards have an exciting addition to their design. The cards use repurposed Sony PlayStation 5 Ariel/Oberon System on a Chip, or SoC. These chips are considered to have features that are no longer functional in the design, like compute cores. AMD in a broken state receives the repurposed chips and then are fixed and altered to be used in other devices, such as their recent PC DIY desktop kit, the AMD 4700S, and this specific crypto mining rig. The information does specify that the system can earn 610MH/s, and the APU onboard will process close to 50 MH/s for each APU involved. It is calculated that each card individually can access and profit $2.00 per day.The return of investment, or ROI, for the BC-250 crypto mining card, is anticipated to take about 440 to 530 days. The numbers are based on the assumption that each card costs close to $1,000. This year, Ethereum is planning to make "The Merger," where the basis of how Ethereum is acquired will change to a Proof of Stake model. Once that happens, it is possible the ROI for the machine could extend further beyond what would be considered plausible.

Recently, prices for graphics cards such as NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 30 series have started to lower across the board. The price reductions have not been astronomical — users are still having to pay quite a bit of money to get decent graphics cards. ASUS confirmed with the website PC Gamer that the company plans to reduce the price of their graphics cards "aggressively." ASUS to drop pricing this Spring sitewide on all GPUs, including the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series Graphics Cards When price drops have happened before by most companies, the graphics cards are typically less po[CENSORED]r cards that are not adequate for today's gamers. One card in question is the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT. Alas, an ASUS representative told the gaming website, "ASUS has been dropping pricing across all SKUs." ASUS is officially the first company to lower its GPU prices throughout all lines. This new information is suitable for gamers and pushes the competition to follow suit so that users will also want to purchase their cards. In an official press release, ASUS announced that consumers lower prices on their NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards in the next few months. While there is not much to the release itself, ASUS extends the reasoning for the current price reduction plans, citing the end of US tariffs on imports from China. When talking about how the market will be affected by the price reductions, supply chain expert Dr. Thomas Goldsby is quoted as stating: A supplier out there will get nervous that they are sitting on considerable supply for an item that has a limited shelf life (with newer cards entering the market) and will make the move to clear out that excess inventory. Peer suppliers will then have to follow that lead. And back to equilibrium we fall. Recently, there are reports that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card plans to have a fairly dramatic price cut soon upon launch. The new card would have been higher in cost had the card been released originally in January. But is this a sign of the market finally catching up to the chip shortage? Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has exclaimed that the worst of the deficit is ending, with a gradual increase this year and into the next. This new reduction in price from ASUS might signal the end with the market fully healed from the lack of chips and other devices that have continued to show shortages.

At GDC 2022, PC Gamer caught up with Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke to discuss the ongoing development of Baldur's Gate 3. The game is a dream project for Larian, and Vincke said the company wants it to be the benchmark rendition of D&D's 5th edition in a videogame. The benchmark incarnation of 5th Edition in a videogame. That's what we're trying to do. I think it's already very good, and it's still getting better. This is a very specific niche of game where you have a lot of narrative with a lot of systems coming together. If your agency is [limited], you're guided down the routes, you're not gonna be happy when you're playing it. It breaks the entire thing. The problem is the only alternative is just, fuuuuck, you need to cover it all. But we figured it out, and we're doing it. There were really lots of easy cuts that we could've done. But then it wouldn't have been the game that it needs to be. We're not going to release it if it's not ready. It's going to be quite the thing, you know. When you go to the character creation and you can select all those classes, all those subclasses, and then you start that journey—knowing everything you can do on that journey, it's going to be quite the thing. To make Baldur's Gate 3, though, Larian had to grow much larger than it had anticipated. The studio now has over 400 hundred employees spread across its many offices, located in Ghent, Dublin, Saint Petersburg, Quebec, Kuala Lumpur, Guildford, and Barcelona. We thought we had it all figured out. We even estimated how big we'd have to become. I never expected us to be 400 people to make Baldur's Gate 3. Nobody expected it. But it's literally what we needed to do it. We had a choice. There was a moment where we started understanding what we needed to do to make this game. We thought we understood. Then we actually really understood. And so we had two choices: we could scale it down, or we could scale ourselves up. And so we chose to scale ourselves up. Baldur's Gate 3 won't be released before 2023, but you can already sample its early access version via PC (Steam) or Google Stadia. The latest patch added the Barbarian class. https://wccftech.com/baldurs-gate-3-will-be-the-benchmark-incarnation-of-dd-5th-edition-in-a-game-says-larian/

The first impressions of NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card which is expected to launch next week have been posted by CapFrameX. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Graphics Card Offers Up To 10% Performance Boost Versus RTX 3090 at 4K, 2 GHz Clocks The impressions posted by the developer of the frame time capturing and hardware analysis tool, CapframeX, reveal that NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card would offer up to 10% performance gain over its non-Ti sibling at 4K resolutions. Games weren't mentioned but it does sound like this would be the best-case scenario for the card. Besides that, the card is said to run at or slightly above 2 GHz which would result in a nice performance boost. We have to remember that NVIDIA is going all out with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, bringing the full GA102 GPU with 2 more SMs (10752 cores vs 10496 cores), faster clock speeds (1860 MHz min boost), faster memory speeds (21 Gbps GDDR6X), beefier cooling solutions and an insane 450W TGP (+100W over the RTX 3090). NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB Graphics Card Specifications At the heart of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card lies the GA102 GPU. The GA102 is the flagship gaming GPU and also the fastest gaming GPU that NVIDIA has produced. The GPU is based on Samsung's 8nm custom process node designed specifically for NVIDIA and features a total of 28 Billion transistors. It measures 628mm2 which makes it the 2nd biggest gaming GPU ever produced right below the Turing TU102 GPU which powered the RTX 2080 Ti and Titan RTX. For the GeForce RTX 3090, NVIDIA has enabled a total of 84 SM units on its flagship which results in a total of 10,752 CUDA cores (vs 82 SM / 10496 cores on RTX 3090 Non-Ti). In addition to the CUDA cores, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti also comes packed with next-generation RT (Ray-Tracing) cores, Tensor cores, and brand new SM or streaming multi-processor units. The GPU runs at a base clock speed of 1560 MHz and a boost clock speed of 1860 MHz. The card has a TDP of 450W (a 100 Watt increase over the RTX 3090). In terms of memory, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti comes packed with 24 GB of memory and that too the next-generation GDDR6X design. With Micron's latest and greatest graphics memory dies, the RTX 3090 Ti can deliver GDDR6X memory speeds of 21 Gbps. That along with a bus interface of 384-bit will deliver a cumulative bandwidth of 1008 Gbps. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card is also rumored to be the first PCIe Gen 5.0 compliant graphics card, rocking a single 16-pin power connector that can supply up to 600 Watts of power to the card. Currently, it's an ongoing debate internally at several AIBs whether to feature the PCIe Gen 5.0 connector like NVIDIA's Founder Edition or go with standard 8-pin connectors. The Founders Edition is also going to utilize what seems to be an updated revision of the PG136 PCB board known as PG136C. As for its feature set, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB graphics card rocks all the modern NV feature set such as the latest NVENC Encoder and NVCDEC Decoder, support for the latest APIs, 2nd Generation ray-tracing cores, 3rd Gen Tensor cores. It packs all the modern RTX features such as DLSS, Reflex, Broadcast, Resizable-BAR, Freestyle, Ansel, Highlights, Shadowplay, and G-SYNC support too. The graphics card is expected to launch on the 29th of March for a massive premium over the existing $1499 MSRP of the non-Ti variant. AMD's Ryzen 7000 'Raphael' CPUs based on the Zen 4 core architecture are going to see a bump in both clock speeds and TDPs if the latest rumors are to be believed. AMD Ryzen 7000 'Raphael' Zen 4 Desktop CPUs Rumored To Get 170W 16 Core & 105W 12 Core Ryzen 9 Variants The AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU family, codenamed Raphael, is going to be the first to be produced on a 5nm process node. The CPUs are going to feature several architectural innovations such as the Zen 4 core architecture, offering higher IPC. AMD has already demoed pre-production samples running at up to 5 GHz across all cores and even higher if we talk about single-core boost clocks. But it looks like those high frequencies might come at a higher power cost. As per leaker, Greymon55, AMD's Ryzen 9 segment in the Ryzen 7000 'Raphael' Zen 4 family will be based around two configurations, a 16 core, and a 12 core part. This is similar to the current 16 and 12 core Ryzen 9 parts. These chips will come in 65W, 105W, and up to 170W TDP configurations. As per the rumor, the 170W SKU will feature 16 cores and 32 threads while the 105W variant will come with 12 cores and 24 threads. The 65W parts will be power-optimized variants running at optimized clock speeds well below the 'X' series parts. There are also talks about a new 120W TDP segment but there's no information provided. Now the higher TDP can be attributed to the increased clock speeds, the highest of any Ryzen CPU to date. But there could be a lot more happening under the Ryzen 7000 IHS which we don't know of yet. The CPUs are also expected to feature an integrated RDNA 2 iGPU with up to 4 compute units but that won't be the main cause behind the power bump. It is likely that the 170W 16 core variant is a special high-frequency chip and we might get to see a standard 105W Ryzen 9 variant too but it is something that we will only know when AMD announces the chips. AMD Ryzen 7000 'Zen 4' CPUs Launch & Availability Availability is something that AMD has reaffirmed recently. AMD's CEO has stated that we can expect Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs in the second half of 2022 and early rumors had pointed out an October-November launch timeframe however the most recent ones suggest that we can see the launch occur as early as June-July 2022. This will mark two years since the launch of AMD's Ryzen 5000 Desktop CPUs.

CD Projekt Red switched to Unreal Engine 5 for the next entry in The Witcher series to use an engine with a solid base and stop chasing REDEngine's tools and features for each new game, according to a former CDPR employee. Speaking on Twitter, former CD Projekt Red employee Bart Wronski provided some context for why the studio switched to Unreal Engine 5, revealing that for each new game, the studio basically rewrote REDEngine from scratch, hoping it would work better than the previous time, but then had to hack it due to crunch, which made it not maintainable. As this would be happening again, the studio opted for an engine with a solid base to avoid making the same mistakes of the past. In another tweet, Bart Wronksi further elaborated on what he meant by rewriting the engine from scratch, confirming that many core-level systems were rewritten between The Witcher 2 and 3, and again between The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, often one by one.The next entry in The Witcher series, as mentioned already, has been announced earlier this week. Outside of the fact that the game will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, very little is currently known about it. One of the core aspects of our internal RED 2.0 Transformation is a much stronger focus on technology, and our cooperation with Epic Games is based on this principle. From the outset, we did not consider a typical licensing arrangement; both we and Epic see this as a long-term, fulfilling tech partnership. It is vital for CD Projekt Red to have the technical direction of our next game decided from the earliest possible phase as; in the past, we spent a lot of resources and energy to evolve and adapt REDengine with every subsequent game release. This cooperation is so exciting, because it will elevate development predictability and efficiency, while simultaneously granting us access to cutting-edge game development tools. I can’t wait for the great games we’re going to create using Unreal Engine 5! The new The Witcher is in development for yet to be confirmed platforms. We will keep you updated on it as soon as more come in, so stay tuned for all the latest news.

Ubisoft’s release calendar looks a bit anemic at the moment, but the company may fill it out in a big way soon. According to tried and tested insider Tom Henderson, Ubisoft has been prepping a big showcase for a while, although scheduling has been thrown into disarray by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and other real-world events. It’s unknown if the showcase will still go ahead, but it seems likely, as Henderson reports Ubisoft has upward of 20 different titles in line for announcements. This list apparently includes a number of unannounced titles, such as a sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising in development at Ubisoft Quebec, a new 2.5 Prince of Persia coming from Ubisoft Montpellier, and The Crew 3 from Ubisoft Ivory Tower. Henderson also provides a bit more detail regarding Assassin’s Creed plans – the AC Valhalla DLC that Ubisoft is rumored to be spinning off into a standalone game is apparently titled Assassin’s Creed Rift and is likely to launch in early 2023. Meanwhile, the live-service Assassin’s Creed Infinity is said to still be in relatively early development at Ubisoft Quebec and Montreal and likely won’t arrive until 2024 or 2025. As for other already-announced games, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is said to be entering testing and likely on track for a 2023 fiscal year release, and free to play games The Division Heartland and XDefiant are reportedly progressing well and likely coming relatively soon. Following harsh fan backlash, it’s unknown where battle royale Ghost Recon Frontline is at, particularly considering the game is said to be heavily focused on NFTs. Finally, Henderson doesn’t have much new info on a number of Ubisoft white whales, like Skull & Bones, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, but that’s not exactly shocking. Of course, take all this info with a grain of salt for now. Hopefully, the Ubisoft showcase happens soon and we can get some of this stuff officially confirmed.

The Hydra tuning utility for AMD Ryzen CPUs will offer support for the next-gen Zen 4 powered Ryzen 7000 family. The confirmation comes from Yuri Bubliy aka 1usmus, the author of Hydra & CTR (Clock Tuner For Ryzen). AMD's Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 CPUs Will Feature Curve Optimizer Support Within Hydra Tuning Utility Announced back in July 2021, the Hydra Tuning utility for AMD Ryzen CPUs was designed as a successor to the CTR (Clock Tuner For Ryzen), offering a new interface and a simpler way to tune and optimize Ryzen CPUs. Since its release, the utility has received several updates and currently offers: Automatically find Curve Optimizer (CO) values Combine PBO + CO and manual OC Modify or create your own Voltage/Frequency curve Change CO in real-time and observe which cores are the bottleneck Create your own "boost", which consists of dynamic profiles Evaluate the quality of the sample and find the ideal voltages Perform undervolting Now Yuri has stated that he's working to refine the Curve Tuner and Curve Optimizer features for Hydra and additionally states that Hydra will have Curve Optimizer support for AMD's Ryzen 7000 CPUs based on the Zen 4 core architecture. There will also be a future update to Hydra which will allow users to find the perfect CO (Curve Optimizer) in a fully automated mode. Yuri definitely has a lot planned out for Hydra but given the situation in Kharkiv, Ukraine, which is also his home city, the progress has been slow due to residents taking shelter in underground bunkers to avoid bomb shelling from the Russian army. We hope that Yuri along with all of the people of Ukraine stay safe and this conflict comes to an end as soon as possible. Despite all of that, it's just amazing to see Yuri providing us with constant updates on his Hydra utility.
