The artist, a reference in contemporary pop art, has been inspired by the well-known brand of automobiles to create one of his well-known polyhedral meninas with, in addition, charitable purposes Art, modernity and solidarity meet for what promises to be one of the summer's artistic events, which comes from the hand of Felipe García-Bañón Sanz-Briz, known by the artistic name of Felipao, a reference in the world of pop art. Inspired by the DS Automobiles brand and the artistic perspectives of the design of its vehicles, it has created one of its known polyhedral meninas, the most ambitious and special and with a solidary purpose: "It is elegant and sophisticated and its passion for taking care of details is something very interesting The interior finishes, with their exquisite treatment of the textures and the use of surprising materials in the automotive world is a source of inspiration ". An inspiration that comes in the form of fiberglass sculpture, with a height of 1.65 meters and composed of 448 polyhedral faces, which highlight the nuances of the 'millennial' blue color in which it is made. The use of color, together with the technique and the projection of light, is one of the hallmarks of the artist. The part of the skirt has been designed fusing the DS pattern and some of the techniques typical of the automotive world with the polyhedral figures that compose it. It is a unique work of art, resistant to the sun and the inclemency of the weather thanks to the type of paint and a double layer of lacquer. The Menina DS created by Felipao. (DS Automobiles) The Menina DS created by Felipao. (DS Automobiles) This sculpture is part of an itinerant exhibition that can already be seen in the DS Store in Madrid, on Doctor Esquerdo Street 62. From there it will travel to Barcelona on July 18, and then stop in Santander, Alicante and Malaga. Along with the Menina DS, you can enjoy other works of Felipao, some of them also inspired by the automotive world and the identity of the DS brand: fusion of modernity and tradition, laboratory materials and ancestral techniques that represent a new milestone in the world of creation. At the end of his particular 'tour' in Spain, the artwork will be auctioned for charity in favor of the CRIS Foundation against Cancer through the auction platform Balcis, at a starting price of 14,000 euros, at www. .balclis.com / en / auction-in-benefit-to-the-foundation-cris /. This foundation focuses its efforts on the promotion and development of research against this disease. Currently, he supports studies on several types of cancer in the main hospitals and research centers of our country, so the lucky owner of the Menina DS will also enjoy the satisfaction of having collaborated for a more than important cause.

Members of the Security Council discussed on Friday the progress of the peace process in Colombia and could not let go of the delicacy they discovered. It is about the tree tomato, whose juice is frequent subject of discussions between its lovers and detractors in social networks. The permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations, Vasili Nebenzia, for example, showed interest in importing it to his country and encouraged the European Union to do so too. Diplomats from the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Equatorial Guinea praised its flavor as well. All of them were part of the Security Council delegation that met with ex-combatants and political representatives of the FARC and civil society, both in Bogotá and in the areas affected by the conflict, between July 11 and 14. The United Kingdom's deputy representative at the UN, Johathan Allen, explained that they had that experience during their visit to the Territorial Training and Reintegration Space (ETCR) of Santa Rosa, in Caldono, Cauca. Allen praised "the quality of the project" and also the tree tomatoes that could "consume directly." "The tree tomato production project allowed the Council to see how agriculture is a central part of the reintegration of ex-combatants," Allen added. The British diplomat stressed that the members of this plan "are proud of what they have achieved in 6 months and are beginning to think about selling beyond the local market to supermarkets and national and international distribution channels."

In 2014 Daniel Simon, the designer of the motorbikes of the film 'Tron: Legacy' was commissioned to design the rare Lotus C-01, an exclusive motorcycle -in all senses- of which only 100 copies would be produced. At the time they were sold at € 75,000 each. Manufactured by Kodewa on behalf of the Lotus Group, its monocoque carbon and titanium chassis was created by the German firm Kalex, with a V75º and 1,195cc Rotax twin-cylinder engine that was used in the KTM RC8, but with the increased power of 170 to the 200 CV. Mounts Ohlins suspensions, Brembo brakes and wheels 19 "and 17" BST and both for its excellent finish, as for its design, as for its personality, is a collector's item. Now one of those 100, with 'Martini' decoration, will be auctioned off at the Monterey Mecum on August 17, within a month. There is no estimated price or reservation. Of the other 99 Lotus C-01s, one was auctioned last year and the remaining 98 are in private hands (and we imagine that they are wealthy).

El Bizco had become one of the men who, with knife in hand, terrorized drivers in the north of the capital. After the mayor Peñalosa and the deputy commander of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police announced his capture, the delinquent was released. The detention of alias el Biszco did not last two days. After more than 10 complaints, the man was caught in flagrante del Norte in the city where he used to intimidate drivers, mainly women, to steal their belongings after breaking the windows of the vehicles. The authorities had captured one of the most feared breakers in Bogotá. However, in a matter of hours he was released. According to the prosecution, the subject would not have exercised any type of violence when he was captured while trying to steal a new victim. Despite the fact that more than 10 women made public the moments of terror that they experienced when they were assaulted by the criminal, the investigating body assured that there was no arrest warrant against him. So the Bizco was not presented before a judge of control of guarantees, but it was left with a notation for having committed a simple theft and subsequently being caught in flagrante delicto. We recommend: Who are they and where do they attack the glassbreakers of Bogotá? Posing as an inhabitant of the street, the man approached the cars and with a knife threatened the drivers. Then, broke the glass and stole the valuables that were in the vehicle. In addition, he hid clothes in his area of operation to change after each of his robberies. According to the district authorities, the Bizco would be related to the attack on Ana Milena Hoyos, which happened on July 10 at 127 street with race 19 and went viral due to her complaint on social networks. She was the victim of one of these robberies when she was in her car with her little daughter. "I'm dying of panic in this city, it's impossible for us to allow this to continue happening," said the woman, evidently affected by the assault. The same one that reported like this: "I came to a traffic light, I felt someone in the back glass as if I were going to clean it, but in a rough way. Immediately another person comes to me through the front door, I bend down, I pick up some coins and a meal that I had to share with someone who needed it. I opened the window a little to give him the coins and food, but immediately this thief tells me: Open and give me my cell phone, if you do not want us to stab him in the face, pointing to my daughter. " The authorities explained that despite the story that the woman made through a video that she posted on her social networks, there was no formal complaint from her. However, the same deputy commander of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police had said after his capture that a complaint was hanging over the man: "An important capacity of the Judicial Police was installed in the north of the city and support was reinforced. The individual was captured immediately when the crime had materialized, the citizen who made the report confirmed that he had committed the theft to his car and threatened his baby. You can read: In flagrante delicto: this is how one of the 'vididovidrios' that frightened drivers in Bogotá fell How glassbreakers work Although this type of attack happens in different locations, it is especially the north of Bogotá that is the most affected area. The authorities have identified several "hot" spots. On Avenue 19, at the junctions with 134 and 127 streets; also on the 12th, on 116th and 170th streets; in the Seventh, on 94th street; in the Suba Avenue with 127 and in the 100 street with the north highway. "They use elements like the sparkplug of cars, which split to divide them, wet them and throw them to the cars to break them." The other style is to throw a stone or use sharp elements to break the glass. , they pull what they find and they run, "Colonel Roberto Hernández, commander of the command in the North of Bogotá, the most affected area in recent months by the panellists, explained to SEMANA. In addition, in this type of robbery, assailants usually have accomplices as street dwellers or vendors who help them choose their victims among the rows of cars. As in the case of Javier Rodríguez, on Calle 82 with 15. Leaving work, this engineer was attacked by a man who allegedly cleaned glasses, with water and cloth in hand, and threatened him with a knife to steal his cell phone and wallet. Nearby was a woman, an apparent accomplice who served as a campanera. We suggest: "I'm scared to death of living in this city": victim of a glassbreaker Colonel Hernandez recommends citizens to report this type of attack, because one of the great challenges to stop these gangs is to identify and identify their members. Also, as a precaution, indicates that it is preferable not to carry visible items of value, but stored in the glove boxes or inside the car. This, especially during peak hours, when the window-breakers take advantage of the traffic jams to attack. Meanwhile, the authorities are advancing in the crusade against these criminals.

A few days ago we showed you the photos of the bestial Curtiss Zeus, the electric motorbike of this reinvented American company, which announces 217 HP and a price of $ 75,000 for a motorcycle that takes the design of the Curtiss V8 of 1907. Emerged from the former Confederate (remember that they manufactured exclusive motorcycles of huge and powerful two-cylinder engines) Curtiss Motorcycle not only want to manufacture exclusive and expensive electric motorcycles, but also more affordable models, in a plan called 'Vision 2020' of several motorcycles planned from now until 2023. Affordable electric motorbike One of the sketches presented for its approval is the one shown below, which looks like a version of the Ares shown in its forecast of new models. The arrangement of motor and batteries is the same as in the Ares, although the design varies from that. Recall that the Zeus finally presented does not look too much like the initial project. Curtiss expressed his intention to manufacture electric bikes of all kinds, also at affordable prices "below $ 15,000," they said, and this sketch is a simple motorcycle, although clearly far from being a production motorcycle, since it lacks headlights, instrumentation, mirrors, etc, while maintaining the front suspension type 'Hossack', typical of the brand (since it was Confederate) and chain transmission, instead of placing the engine directly in the rear hub. As in the case of the Zeus, we must wait for the production model to know its real appearance, although it should be based on this sketch.

"I know their DNA and I know their trajectory," says Jaramillo. "This is ANDRÉS FELIPE ARIAS, my school friend, the smartest I've ever met, the one who helped me graduate from college." Thus begins the message that the ex-football player Lucas Jaramillo published, on Instagram, to show solidarity with the former minister Arias. Jaramillo accompanied the text of several images that show them both when they were children and studied together at the Columbus School in Medellín. Andrés Felipe Arias, in July 2014, was sentenced by the Supreme Court of Justice to 17 years in prison for peculation for appropriation in favor of third parties and undue interest in the conclusion of contracts, in the case of Agro Ingreso Seguro. However, when the sentence was known, Arias was already in the United States. His intention was to ask for political asylum, but the American country did not grant it and, after a long process, authorized his extradition to Colombia. In context: Former Minister Andrés Felipe Arias has already been extradited to Colombia Jaramillo published the message and photos in the midst of the commotion generated by this news, and joins the voices that consider Arias innocent and request a second instance: "Even the most murderous, NARCOTERRORIST, VIOLATOR ... until the more SANTRICH, GARAVITO, deserves A SECOND INSTANCE: Any day the world turns around and it can touch anyone to live an equal situation and 100% would ask at least that ... A SECOND INSTANCE ". The ex-football player, who is now a players' entrepreneur, recalled some moments he lived with the former minister when they were children: Afternoons spent unnecessarily many nights, just so I could capture math, history and English. Long nights when the only commitment was to have fun and where politics did not matter at all. His commitment was to get 10 and I would get at least 6 ". And this is Jaramillo's argument to say that Arias is not guilty: "I think he is an innocent man because I know his DNA and I know his trajectory".

Deported migrants place their belongings in white bags through the Puente Nuevo border crossing at the Matamoros border crossing (Mexico). The daily arrival of a hundred Mexican deportees from the United States to the city of Matamoros anticipates the possible arrival of more people Photo: EFE The White House took a step on Monday to reject asylum for foreigners entering the United States through the southern border through Mexico, in a new attempt to stop the flow of migrants arriving in the country. The new regulation "uses the authority delegated by Congress in (...) the Migration Law to improve the integrity of the asylum process by placing more restrictions or limitations on the eligibility of foreigners seeking asylum in the United States," said the Department of Justice in a statement. In context: There is alert among migrants for the beginning of raids in the US. UU The limitations, aimed at those seeking to reach the United States from Mexico, will have three exceptions: foreigners who demonstrate that they applied for asylum in at least one country and their petition was ultimately denied; who enter the definition of "victims of a serious form of human trafficking"; and those who have traveled on their way to the United States from countries that are not part of the 1951 Refugee Convention or the 1965 Protocol. Called the final provisional regulation, the regulation enters into force on Tuesday but may undergo subsequent modifications after its publication on Monday. Powered by the White House, it is aimed at the hundreds of thousands of migrants from Central America and other countries who try to cross into the United States through the border with Mexico to seek asylum once in US territory. "The United States is a generous country, but it is completely overwhelmed by the burden associated with the detention and trial of hundreds of thousands of foreigners detained on the southern border," said Attorney General Bill Barr. According to Barr, this will "discourage economic migrants seeking to exploit" the asylum system for the United States. In June, more than 100,000 people were arrested after crossing the southern border irregularly. These figures represent a fall of 28% compared to May, but are well above the 43,000 arrests registered a year ago.

Michael 'Woolie' Woolaway, from Deus ex Machina, already knows what it is like to play Pikes Peak, known as 'Road to the Clouds', which is held every June in the United States, precisely this Same weekend. Last year, Wollaway participated with a very prepared and very modified - by himself - Ducati Multistrada 1200, but as he says "I was wrong last year, since I did not realize how narrow the route of the Pikes Peak was , so I had to push the bike a lot, "Woolie explained. "The goal of this year was to build a light and fast bike, which was comfortable to drive and manageable and, what is more important, to turn well at the corners." This year 'Woolie' will participate with a smaller and more powerful Ducati, the Ducati Streetfighter 1098 Beastie, the 'Beast'. The new chassis comes from a Ducati Streetfighter 1098, and the tires are carbon fiber BST, with Öhlins suspensions. The tweezers are from Brembo and the BrakeTech discs. The engine has a closed ratio Nova gearbox, and the exhaust is from SC-Project. The ECU is from Micro Tech. The steering head is a 999, welded on the Streetfighter chassis, for a better steering angle, and there is a longer swingarm, made of magnesium. The bike weighs 150 kg, for a power of 180 hp. There is no electronics, but we would not be talking about a whole 'Beast' ... it will be interesting to see it in front of the new Streetfighter V4.

Pacha and designer Charo Ruiz Ibiza presented on Tuesday in Madrid 'FlowerPower by Charo Ruiz', an 18-piece capsule collection for women and girls The essence of the 'flower power' Ibiza flooded this Thursday Madrid of the hand of two of its most famous icons: Pacha Ibiza and the designer Charo Ruiz, with the presentation of a capsule collection, within the actions to celebrate the 30 years of Charo Ruiz Ibiza. It is a proposal consisting of 18 pieces for women and girls, which is already available both on the websites of the two brands participating in this project and in the stores of Charo Ruiz Ibiza and those of the Pacha brand: "It has made me very happy to adapt some of the models of women to girl's size, in such a way that it is suitable for the grandmothers who lived that time, for our daughters and, of course, for our granddaughters ". "Designing these garments has been pure adrenaline and, in addition, a great honor. The fact of remembering how she danced barefoot at the parties in Espalmador, in Formentera, more than 30 years ago, has been very exciting. I have been able to travel that part of my life and encapsulate it in this proposal, "he concludes. The collection, for women and girls, consisting of dresses, tops, skirts, caftans and other items characteristic of the brand, also has another iconic woman: Minerva Portillo. The Spanish top model, portrayed by photographer Álvaro Gracia, stars in a campaign carried out in an authentic payesa house on the white island. And Charo Ruiz explains the reason for this choice: "Her career, her vision of fashion, Minerva is feminine, magnetic, Mediterranean, fun, she is one of those people who knows how to identify the real pleasures of life and communicates perfectly with the values of both brands and above all with the Ibiza brand ". The white, of course, is the main color of this proposal, which also shine the bougainvillea tone and a fascinating tie dye print. The plain colored garments are made of 100% cotton and guipure finishes and those of print, in viscose. They are fabrics that, thanks to their spectacular movement, seem to dance by themselves. The deep necklines that leave the air on the shoulders, the sleeves worked with gathers and ruffles, the maxi dresses, the fluffy tunics and the asymmetric lengths are key. All this, together with the 'made in Ibiza', with that carefree and even naïve air that characterizes him: "We have bet, above all, for fresh and youthful pieces, and also for more conventional ones, but always working the volumes in skirts , sleeves and necklines to give them a great movement, "says the designer. Among those invited to the presentation, we could see Miranda Makaroff, Fiona Ferrer, Clara Courel, Paloma Barrientos, Rosa Villacastin, Marta Robles, Ana Antic, Cristina Reyes or Mónica Martín Luque. All of them, friends of the creator and fans of her Ibizan style par excellence.
