  4. PlayStation Plus is changing β€” very soon. On Thursday, Sony's revamped three-tier take on its game subscription offering PS Plus arrives in India and Europe, completing a rollout that began a month ago in parts of Asia. (Due to market and operation reasons, Sony considers India as part of β€œEurope” rather than β€œAsia”. I know it's confusing, but all we can do is accept it and move on.) From June 23, PlayStation Plus, like we've known it for over a decade, won't cease to exist. Instead, it will end up as a much smaller part of the newer PS Plus β€” one that's better designed to compete with its biggest rival, Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. One that's now split into PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Deluxe. If you did a β€œWait, hold on, what?” or β€œHow do I pick?”, then you have come to the right place. While one of them is pretty straightforward to digest β€” I'm talking about PS Plus Essential β€” the other two have loads to offer. I don't mean just features, but even in terms of choice paralysis, as you will discover for yourself later on. So how does one exactly pick between PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Deluxe? Which PS4 and PS5 games are available with the new PS Plus? Which one allows you to play classic PlayStation, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation Portable games? And is PS Plus now better than Xbox Game Pass? We will soon have dedicated articles for some answers, but we're going to discuss the rest of it here. PlayStation Plus Essential: benefits and price in India It's the easiest one to explain, so let's dive into it first. PS Plus Essential is essentially β€” sorry, I had to β€” what you know PS Plus to be, albeit under a new name. That includes online multiplayer access, 100GB cloud storage, extra discounts on games, exclusive game content, and two PS4 games and one PS5 game every month. Additionally, you get access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, a small library of PS4 hits that is only available on the PS5. And naturally, PS Plus Essential remains at the same price as the old PS Plus. That's Rs. 499 a month, Rs. 1,199 quarterly, or Rs. 2,999 a year. An annual subscription affords 50 percent savings over the monthly plan, and 37 percent over the three-month offering. PlayStation Plus has always been more affordable in India, with the same plans costing $9.99 (about Rs. 780) a month, $24.99 (about Rs. 1,950) quarterly, and Rs. $59.99 (about Rs. 4,680) a year in the US. The US prices also do not include tax. PlayStation Plus Extra: benefits and price in India Welcome to the first new tier of the new PS Plus. And going forward, also known as the middle PS Plus tier. PS Plus Extra is also the first real competition to Xbox Game Pass, as it offers hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games β€” such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, God of War, Returnal, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla β€” as part of a game catalogue that will be continually refreshed. Some games are courtesy of Ubisoft+ Classics, included with PS Plus. Expect the first-party PlayStation titles to stick around forever, just as the likes of Halo and Gears have always been part of Xbox Game Pass. Sony says new titles will be added twice monthly, at the start of the month and then around the middle of the same month. In addition to the game catalogue, PS Plus Extra gives you access to all the benefits that are part of PS Plus Essential. How much more do you have to pay for the privilege of that PS4 and PS5 game catalogue? PS Plus Extra costs Rs. 749 per month, Rs. 1,999 for three months, or Rs. 4,999 for one year. An annual subscription affords nearly 80 percent savings over the monthly variant, and 60 percent over the quarterly option. And as with Essential, PS Plus Extra is more affordable in India over the US, where it costs $14.99 (about Rs. 1,170) per month, $39.99 (about Rs. 3,120) for three months, and $99.99 (about Rs. 7,800) for one year. Once again, the US prices do not include tax. In fact, the price difference is so stark that three months of PS Plus Extra in India (Rs. 1,999) is roughly equal to three months of PS Plus Essential in the US ($24.99). PlayStation Plus Deluxe: benefits and price in India And that leaves us with the third and top tier, which has a dual identity. First, let's get into the benefits. Over and beyond everything we've already listed on Essential and Extra, PS Plus Deluxe gives you access to limited trials β€” varying from one to three hours β€” for some of the latest games, such as Horizon Forbidden West, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Additionally, PS Plus Deluxe gives you access to hundreds of classic games from the OG PlayStation, PS2, and PSP era. These include the likes of inFAMOUS 2, Tekken 2, BioShock: The Collection, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. As you can tell, PS Plus Deluxe offers better competition to Xbox Game Pass, which offers games from OG Xbox and Xbox 360 too. The competition is arguably even stronger if you're in a market that has PlayStation Now, Sony's cloud streaming game subscription service. PS Now is being merged into PS Plus Premium, the equivalent to PS Plus Deluxe in territories with cloud streaming support. That allows PS Plus Premium to offer a bunch of games from the PS3 era, which otherwise cannot run on modern-day PlayStation consoles. Naturally, there's a cost to these upgrades. PS Plus Deluxe comes in at Rs. 849 per month, Rs. 2,299 for three months, and Rs. 5,749 annually. The yearly subscription affords 77 percent savings over the monthly variant, and 60 percent over the quarterly option. PS Plus Deluxe cannot be directly compared to US prices, as it doesn't exist there. In fact, because of the missing cloud streaming variable, PS Plus Deluxe is priced below PS Plus Premium to justify the omission. For instance, PS Plus Premium comes in at $17.99 (about Rs. 1,400) per month, $49.99 (about Rs. 3,900) for three months, and $119.99 (about Rs. 9,360) annually. Once again, tax not included. So, while there's a 20 percent difference in price between PS Plus Extra ($14.99 per month) and PS Plus Premium ($17.99 per month) in the US, the difference between PS Plus Extra (Rs. 749 a month) and PS Plus Deluxe (Rs. 849 a month) in India is a little over 13 percent. PS Plus price in India: Essential vs Extra vs Deluxe Now that we have gone through all three β€” or rather, four β€” new PS Plus tiers, it's time to condense that into an easily read-through table. Here's a direct comparison of PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Deluxe pricing in India. PlayStation Plus India pricing TierMonthlyQuarterlyAnnually PS Plus EssentialRs. 499Rs. 1,199Rs. 2,999 PS Plus ExtraRs. 749Rs. 1,999Rs. 4,999 PS Plus DeluxeRs. 849Rs. 2,299Rs. 5,749 Which PlayStation Plus tier is best for India? Ah, yes. The question we set out to answer. Unfortunately, unlike the service it's trying to compete with, picking between the three new PS Plus tiers isn't an easy, straightforward task. (With Xbox Game Pass, the big question is, β€œDo you play online?”) Though it's definitely easier in India, than in countries where PS Plus Premium is the most expensive tier. Allow me to explain. If playing online is the only thing you care about, then I'm not sure how you got this deep into the article. Let me put it on a platter for you. Stick with PS Plus Essential, which is exactly what you had with PS Plus. No new features, no change to cost. (For the best pricing, wait for the traditional β€œBlack Friday” sales that offer big discounts on PS Plus.) There you go, that's your answer. Have a great year. Now, on the other hand, if you're interested in the Game Pass-style features that PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Deluxe offer, that is where it gets interesting. The cost difference between Essential and Extra/Deluxe is stark, as you can tell from the table below. If you pay quarterly or annually, PS Plus Deluxe is nearly 92 percent more than PS Plus Essential. PlayStation Plus India: Essential vs Extra vs Deluxe price difference vs.PS Plus EssentialPS Plus ExtraPS Plus Deluxe MonthlyQuarterlyAnnuallyMonthlyQuarterlyAnnuallyMonthlyQuarterlyAnnually PS Plus Essential----33.3%-40%-40%-41%-47.8%-47.8% PS Plus Extra+50%+66.7%+66.7%----11.7%-13%-13% PS Plus Deluxe+70%+91.7%+91.7%+13.3%+15%+15%--- At the same time, the difference between PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Deluxe is minimal. On a month-to-month basis, Deluxe is about 13.3 percent more expensive than Extra. When you move to the quarterly or annual plans, you will need to pay about 15 percent more. Of course, if you plan to subscribe for the long term, you shouldn't be considering monthly plans given the cost savings I brought up before β€” with the yearly option saving you between 77–80 percent on Extra/Deluxe. For that 15 percent more, PS Plus Deluxe gives you access to limited game trials and classic games catalogue β€” PS1, PS2, and PSP β€” over PS Plus Extra. It may not seem like much, but if you are going to pay Rs. 4,999 (PS Plus Extra annually) for a game subscription service, my argument is that you should fork over Rs. 750 extra and just get PS Plus Premium (Rs. 5,749 annually). The difference is too minimal to lose out on the other benefits. Of course, my guidance could change if Sony were, to say, to offer discounts on PS Plus Extra plans, and leave PS Plus Deluxe alone. But for now, PS Plus Deluxe and Extra are too close to each other to recommend the middle tier. In fact, this serves as an indictment of Sony's three-tier model itself. The multi-tier approach feels like a relic borne out of Sony's previous subscription models, where PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now had nothing to do with each other. Those two offerings had their own separate revenue streams, and it seems like Sony is trying to soften the (financial) blow as they are brought together. It may have put internal business demands first, rather than think of its consumers. https://gadgets360.com/games/guide/ps-plus-india-extra-deluxe-premium-essential-vs-price-plans-ps5-ps4-ps2-playstation-sony-3083120
  5. Introduction From feasibility to refinement, the natural evolution of Samsung's priorities for its flagship foldable smartphone took just a couple of years. The Galaxy Z Fold4 of 2022 focuses on much-needed camera upgrades, and throws in some subtle physical polishing, all the while maintaining the core concept of the productivity-driven phone-turns-tablet form factor. The camera setup of the Z Fold3 used some relatively ancient hardware, and the new model changes most of it. Having in principle the same wide-ultrawide-telephoto arrangement, the Z Fold4 gets more reach on the long end and a larger sensor main camera, while the ultrawide remains untouched. Mind you, it's still not a cutting-edge configuration - it's almost the same as the one on the Galaxy S22(+) with some fine print in the autofocusing section. In the physical touches, we're seeing that the bezels have been trimmed down, the outer screen has adopted a slightly less tall aspect (still taller than virtually anything), and the whole thing now weighs ever so slightly less - all evolutionary changes that may or may be spotted in practice. It's certainly not the gapless foldable we've all been droning on that Samsung should make, while Chinese manufacturers are, in fact, making. Other things you won't be getting on this iteration either include properly fast charging, Samsung instead keeping things at 25 watts of PPS-enhanced USB PowerDelivery. The battery capacity remains at 4,400mAh, but that hasn't really proven a pain point in the past, so we won't be making a big deal of it now either. If anything, further advancements in the display tech (Samsung advertised a more power-efficient panel for this generation Fold), coupled with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, itself not sourced from Samsung's chipmaking division but TSMC, might actually mean improved battery life - we'll get to that. Speaking of the display, the foldable inner panel maintains the numbers of the old model - the diagonal is 7.6 inches refresh rate mazes out at 120Hz, and it's a granularly adaptive refresh rate, as befitting the Fold's high-end status. The outer panel matches the big one for refresh rate capability, and while the diagonal remains unchanged from the predecessor at 6.2 inches, the new aspect should make it slightly more convenient while also marginally increasing the usable area. Naturally, you're getting stereo speakers, the side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, an IPX8 rating (no dust, water only), and a couple of selfie cameras - one on the outside and another under the flexible display. Those seem to be dialed in now with no apparent reason to change them. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 unboxing The unboxing experience of the Galaxy Z Fold4 brings few surprises. The phone arrives unfolded in a large squarish black box with bold 'Fold' lettering. And when we say the box is 'large,' it's only so in footprint - it's half-height since it's missing a charger, as has become the norm. There's still a USB-C cable bundled, still. But the barebones retail package is easily forgotten once you actually get to hold the Fold4, so let's talk some about that. https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_z_fold4-review-2468.php
  6. All stars dies and our Sun is a star. Therefore, it makes sense that at some point down the line, our Sun, which provides life to Earth, will die, too. When it does, scientists say that the Sun will destroy Earth, Mercury, and Venus, leaving our entire solar system devastated. A full pot can only boil so long before it finally boils over, and the Sun is kind of like a pot of water, just boiling away for billions of years. Right now, our star is still young, generating tons of energy and acting as a source of light and heat that helps keep Earth alive. But, one day, that same energy will cause the Sun to destroy Earth and other planets along with it. This isn’t a new idea. Scientists have estimated that our Sun will β€œexplode” within the next five billion years for quite a while now. A new study that researchers submitted to the Astrophysical Journal says that when it does, the Sun will destroy Mercury, Venus, and possibly the Earth. The level of that destruction is unclear, though. To better understand how the Sun will destroy the Earth, the researchers performed several 3D hydrodynamical simulations. This helped them better understand the range of possible outcomes after a Sun-like star engulfs a planet. They found that it depends heavily on the planet’s size and the star’s current stage. Because of the Earth’s size, some say it won’t be completely devoured, as Mercury and Venus are likely to be. However, the Sun will still make the Earth unlivable. That’s because when the Sun enters its red giant phase it will lose all its hydrogen. When that happens, its border will expand multiple times over and engulf anything in its way. As a result, our Sun could destroy Earth. Depending on the exact outcome, the engulfed planet may be pulled into a much tighter orbit that completely devours it. Or the ability to create a new world may become available because of the changes. Scientists believe our Sun has reached the middle of its life, roughly 4.57 billion years of age. They also believe that’s the cause of the ongoing solar activity we’re experiencing. In 5 billion years, it will start to die. And when that happens, the chances of the Sun destroying Earth are very likely. https://bgr.com/science/new-study-claims-the-sun-will-destroy-mercury-venus-and-earth-heres-when/

  8. On the outskirts of Tulum, in a still virgin space, the Mexican government plans to dedicate more than 2,200 hectares to a new natural reserve for jaguars. It happened in January 2022. The Government of Mexico, through the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), presented a unique project in the Riviera Maya. To counter environmentalist criticism of the Mayan Train, the creation of the Jaguar National Park, on the outskirts of Tulum, was proposed. Characterized by its invasive hotel zone with nature, the coastal city of the Mexican Caribbean receives 414 thousand annual visitors, according to the records of the Government of Quintana Roo. Even with the weight of health restrictions in tow, Tulum did not allow the tourism sector to be left unattended. You are interested in: They announce the definitive suspension of section 5 of the Mayan Train, due to environmentalist insistence Jaguar National Park: a space beyond the reach of the human hand Even so, urban advancement in favor of destructive megaprojects has been allowed for the sake of economic development in the area. Even due to state initiatives, such as the construction of the Mayan Train. In response to the criticism that has been leveled at the train tracks, the Government of Mexico hopes that the Jaguar National Park will stop some of that irresponsible growth: "IT IS SEEKING TO STOP THE UNMEDAL URBAN GROWTH, PARTICULARLY IN THE CITY OF TULUM AND OTHER SURROUNDING AREAS AND BE ABLE TO PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT", DECLARED THE HEAD OF SEDATU, ROMÁN MEYER FALCΓ“N. β€œSEDATU AND SEMARNAT COLLABORATE TO TURN THE PARK INTO A SPACE OF HEALTHY COEXISTENCE WITH THE ENVIRONMENT AND AN INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARK FOR THE CONSERVATION OF ECOLOGICAL HERITAGE.” WITH THE JAGUAR NATIONAL PARK IN TULUM #QUINTANAROO, WHICH WILL COVER AN EXTENSION OF ALMOST ONE THOUSAND HECTARES, WE SEEK TO PRESERVE THE NATURAL WEALTH, FLORA AND FAUNA OF THE AREA. PIC.TWITTER.COM/T6LC9B2EXO – SEDATU MEXICO (@SEDATU_MX) JANUARY 30, 2022 In this regard, in January 2022, Sedatu said that, with the Jaguar National Park, it seeks to "preserve the natural wealth, flora and fauna of the area." In the video, the urban advance in Tulum for 40 years is shown, which it accuses of being "messy" and "a direct threat to the flora and fauna of the entire region". The institution even blames the illegal purchase of land and changes in land use as the main cause of this expansion of the urban sprawl. To counteract this impact, according to local authorities, an area of more than 2,000 hectares will be dedicated to maintaining the Quintana Roo jungle as it is β€” out of the reach of human hands. We suggest: β€œThere is no single way to contribute to conservation”: this is how peasants fight to preserve the ecosystems of the USA An international benchmark for conservation? Officially, the Mexican government will dedicate 2,249 hectares for this purpose, more than double what was originally proposed. In principle, the Mexican government thinks that the Jaguar National Park will be "an international benchmark for the care and conservation of the environment," as expressed in the official video of the project. To do this, the space will allow the following activities, integrated into the jungle: Restoration of degraded areas of the forest Development of productive activities, such as beekeeping Conservation strategies for endemic flora and fauna, with a focus on the threatened felines of the Yucatan Peninsula Wildlife crossings (or natural corridors) so that species can cross from one side of the road to the other without suffering accidents Even so, the current administration promotes the construction of the Mayan Train: one of the most destructive and invasive megaprojects with the biosphere that have been proposed in the peninsula. In July 2022, the president described it as a "national security play to prevent loss of resources" in his morning briefing. Before the international gaze, the media do not stop emphasizing that the works of the Mayan Train Β«have already deforested dozens of hectares of well-preserved jungleΒ«. In contrast, he described the recovery of archaeological sites near the Mayan Train route as "a priority of the Government of Mexico." Ironically, the first thing that appears in search engines when the words 'reservation Jaguar Tulum' are entered are elite restaurants in the hotel zone. https://www.ngenespanol.com/animales/parque-nacional-del-jaguar-el-nuevo-refugio-natural-para-felinos-amenazados-en-tulum/

  10. The FBI told a judge they expected to find "evidence of obstruction" of justice in a search of former President Donald Trump's Florida home, according to newly released court papers. Investigators said top secret files had been stored at Mar-a-Lago along with assorted newspapers and magazines. The justice department said it censored the affidavit to protect "a significant number of civilian witnesses". Mr Trump said the inquiry was being led by "political Hacks and Thugs". On Friday, the US Department of Justice released a version of the affidavit used to justify the FBI's incursion into Mr Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate on 8 August, but it has been heavily redacted. Given that the court papers were filed before the search of the Palm Beach estate, they contain no new details on the 11 sets of classified documents that the justice department has said were recovered from the exclusive golf club. What we do and don't know about the FBI's Trump search How big are Trump's legal problems? The FBI agent who drafted the affidavit wrote they had "probable cause" to believe that "evidence, contraband, fruits of crimes or other items illegally possessed" would be discovered. "There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at the premises," the agent added. The document shows that the unprecedented criminal investigation into a former president began after the National Archives, which maintains historic White House records, identified "a lot" of classified files among 15 boxes that it had recovered from Mar-a-Lago in January this year. An FBI review of those materials uncovered 184 classified documents, including 25 marked as "Top Secret". Analysis by Anthony Zurcher, BBC News, Palm Beach A serious investigation not just about mementoes The curtain of secrecy has been pulled back ever so slightly on the justice department's investigation into the handling of classified documents and presidential records at Mar-a-Lago. Even with all the redactions, the picture revealed should be concerning to Donald Trump and his associates. This is a serious criminal investigation. It's not just about who gets to keep some presidential mementoes and souvenirs - it concerns the security of closely guarded US government secrets - ones involving human intelligence gathering, foreign surveillance and perhaps even court-authorised surveillance of US citizens. Mr Trump has had an assortment of legal headaches since his chaotic departure from the White House in January 2021. After the Mar-a-Lago search, and these subsequent revelations, this investigation may have moved up to the top of the list. The cache included information from highly sensitive US intelligence human sources. Some items were also marked "Noforn" - meaning they must not be released to foreign nationals. The files - some of which appeared to show Mr Trump's handwritten notes - were interspersed with newspapers, magazines and other documents, according to the affidavit. "Of most significant concern was that highly classified records were unfoldered, intermixed with other records and otherwise unproperly identified," the document said. The discovery led investigators to believe that Mr Trump may have been in violation of three separate federal laws, including the Espionage Act that governs classified information. Of the 38 pages in the unsealed affidavit, 21 are mostly or entirely blacked out. There are several pages in which not a single word is visible. A separate document explaining the proposed redactions noted that some parts of the affidavit must remain under seal to "protect the safety and privacy of civilian witnesses, in addition to law enforcement personnel, as well as to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation". Revealing the identities of witnesses, the document added, could potentially lead to them being subjected to harms including "retaliation, intimidation, or harassment and even threats to their physical safety". It also said that a release of an unredacted copy might "chill" potential witnesses from future co-operation. Mr Trump reacted angrily on his social media platform, Truth Social. He said that Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed off on the search, should never have allowed the "break-in of my home". Mr Trump also accused the judge of "animosity" towards him. He has maintained that he had already ordered all the documents to be declassified. The justice department's investigation is now expected to continue behind closed doors as it continues to review the documents and - potentially - call in more witnesses. The public may not hear from prosecutors about the investigation until a decision has been made on whether it will result in any criminal charges. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-62691011

  15. On the slopes of some of the volcanoes in central Mexico lives the teporingo, a small endemic rabbit threatened by urbanization. Isolated in the volcanic areas of central Mexico is the teporingo, one of the great representatives of the fauna of this country. It lives in burrows and feeds mainly on plants. This mammal is in serious danger of extinction due to excessive urban growth. Despite this, the little animal continues to survive in a habitat that is getting smaller and smaller. Teporingo, the Mexican rabbit of the volcanoes Also known as zacatuche, the volcano rabbit is a lagomorph mammal of the Leporidae family. It lives in forests and grasslands in central Mexico, at heights above 2,800 meters. It may interest you: Axolotl: What is this small animal and where does it live? The origin of its name is not well defined, however, it is thought that it comes from the word tepolito, which means "he of the rocks". On the other hand, zacatuche, the other way of calling it, is a derivation of Nahuatl that refers to "rabbit of the grasslands". The latter in honor of the habitat of this rabbit. The teporingo is a very distinctive animal due to its physical characteristics. It is one of the smallest rabbits in the world. Its size ranges between 27 and 30 centimeters. It can be easily identified due to its tiny, rounded ears. His tail is barely noticeable. The habitat is no less peculiar. As mentioned, this rabbit lives in central Mexico, specifically in the Neovolcanic Axis. It has been recorded on the slopes of the Pelado, Tlaloc, PopocatΓ©petl, and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes. In addition, the teporingo can be found in the mountains of some mayor's offices in Mexico City. Similarly, traces of the animal have been searched for in the Nevado de Toluca. Regarding its diet, the volcano rabbit has a favoritism for a type of grass called zacatΓ³n. But, also, it usually eats other varieties of foliage. The grass, on the other hand, beyond fulfilling its nutritional role, serves the small mammal as a hiding place from its predators. The human being: the growing threat The coyote, the gray fox, the rattlesnake, the northern cacomixtle, the weasel, the shrew and the lynx are the main predators of the volcano rabbit. However, the greatest threat to this small mammal is humans β€” due to urban growth that consumes its natural habitat. Currently, the teporingo is considered by the IUCN as an animal in danger of extinction. This is, as already mentioned, a product of human activities, mainly. The animal can be found, in small numbers, in the mentioned areas. It may interest you: The strange amphibian whose lungs grow at the beginning; then they mysteriously disappear Hunting these animals is illegal. This has been one of the measures that the government has taken in favor of the protection of the volcano rabbit.
