40 Million Motorists allows you to report any illegal speed bumps you pass through a brand new online platform. After attacking Anne Hidalgo's anti-car policy and questioning the President on car-related expenses, the 40 million motorists association decided at the start of the year to fight illegal speed bumps. . An approach that had already started last November, when the organization had launched a petition to challenge the public authorities on this recurring problem on our roads. And for good reason, according to a study carried out in 2013 by Auto Plus, one in three retarders is not up to standard, causing damage to vehicles. We remember that in 2017, a Ferrari owner was able to be compensated after having damaged his vehicle on a too high speed bump. But if this affair had caused a great stir, very few municipalities have taken matters into their own hands by bringing the sleeping gendarmes up to standards. 40 million motorists therefore wish to question them on the situation, and then invite all drivers to report illegal speed bumps they pass via an online platform . The goal ? Create an infrastructure map of France that does not meet standards, and thus assert the rights of automobiles. At the end of this campaign, it will then be published and sent to the public authorities in order to raise their awareness. Pierre Chasseray, the general delegate of the association nevertheless underlines that " we do not wish to enter into confrontation with the municipalities […] Our goal is to open the discussion and to find together adapted solutions for the good of all ". 40 million motorists stresses that these illegal infrastructures would constitute a noise nuisance for residents, and would also be the cause of accidents. A few weeks ago, three associationshad decided to open a judicial inquiry to remove these speed bumps, sometimes causing serious bodily accidents. The lawyers in charge of the case recalled the story of a biker having fallen on a Berlin cushion located on a slope, and therefore very difficult to see and anticipate. What is an illegal retarder? So, how do you recognize a retarder that does not meet the standards? To help you, 40 million motorists have published a small guide , allowing you to navigate better, but rest assured, it's quite simple. When it comes to Berlin cushions, there is no rule in terms of size, but most are between 6 and 7 centimeters high. Moreover, their installation is prohibited in certain cases, in particular on lanes with a slope greater than 6% or on carriageways comprising more than one traffic lane per direction. For their part, the backs of donkeysare much more regulated, since their height should not exceed 15 centimeters, although 10 centimeters are recommended. In addition, these must be visible to users day and night and be the subject of specific road signs, as specified by the association. If you come across an infrastructure that does not comply with these rules, all you have to do is report it, using the form available online.

emocrats in the US Congress have submitted legislation calling for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to be stripped of her responsibilities in House committees due to some of her social media posts. Green espouses conspiracy theory, including her conviction that the US school shootings and the 9/11 attacks are a "ploy." Greene, a Representative from Georgia, made a proposal last month to start impeaching the new president, Joe Biden, in parliament. As soon as she was elected to the House of Representatives last November, she was chosen by the leader of the Republican minority in the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, as a member of the Education and Labor Committee and the House Budget Committee. But Democrats believe that, because of her earlier statements, she "deprived herself of the right" to be a member of those committees, especially the Education Committee.

The recent compromise of SolarWinds’ Orion software has led to lots of largely ineffective hand-wringing. I’ve seen more time spent on talking about whom should be blamed for the incident than on how to mitigate the damage that it caused or to reduce the chances of a similar incident happening in the future. But it has motivated the creation of lots of new initiatives to increase the security of software by adding all sorts of additional processes and oversight to software engineering organizations. These efforts might provide some small, incremental gains in the security of software, but they are probably doomed to do little more than that. Security of code simply isn’t a priority for some developers, and it’s going to be very hard to change that for much of the software currently in use. And it’s probably the case that even the most careful and thorough software security engineering practices are not going to produce secure commercial software. Here's why. The problem with FOSS Free and open-source software (FOSS) is here to stay. Although most FOSS projects don’t go anywhere, those that do can end up making a huge difference. Lots of the Internet now runs on the FOSS LAMP stack—the Linux operating system, the Apache web server, the MySQL database, and the PHP programming language. Commercial alternatives for each of these exist, but they have yet to gain the level of acceptance and use that their FOSS competitors have. Similarly, FOSS components are part of essentially all commercial software these days. It isn’t easy for software companies to get their developers to take software security seriously. My experience has been that it takes a significant effort backed by the highest levels of management to get this to happen. But it has happened in some places, and the quality of software has dramatically increased in many cases because of these efforts. But it seems to be much harder to get FOSS contributors to take security seriously. The Linux Foundation's recent 2020 FOSS Contributor Survey suggests that FOSS programmers just aren’t that interested in security. Instead, things such as learning new things and gaining the respect of their peers motivate them. They spend less than 3% of their time responding to security issues. And some of their responses to the survey suggest that it’s going to be very hard to get them to take security more seriously. Text responses indicated that many respondents had no interest in increasing time and effort on security; it was not simply that they wanted to be proactive. One respondent said, “I find the enterprise of security a soul-withering chore and a subject best left for the lawyers and process freaks. I am an application developer.” Another said, “I find security an insufferably boring procedural hindrance.” So with a significant amount of software that’s being used today using FOSS in some way, it seems likely that we’ll be dealing with the security issues that come with it for the foreseeable future.

Many IT directors fear old and obsolete hardware could put them at risk of data leaks, if it is not properly disposed of. With 10 percent of them describing their employer's knowledge of data erasure and disposal of IT hardware as either “average” or “poor”, the threat is very real. This is according to a new report from IT asset disposal company DSA Connect, based on a poll of 50 IT directors, which revealed that many resort to drastic measures to ensure data doesn’t get into the wrong hands. Approximately eight percent of respondents destroy their old, data-bearing hardware with a hammer. A further 12 percent submerge it in water, in hopes of destroying all data, while 18 percent use a drill for the same purpose. The most po[CENSORED]r method, DSA Connect found, was shredding (90 percent), followed by data sanitation software (74 percent). Ever since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018, businesses have become increasingly wary of the data they hold on their customers, partners and clients. Failing to properly dispose of sensitive data could result in that data leaking to the public, which could land the offending business with a significant penalty.

Already started at the end of last year, the reform of the pound will continue in 2021 and will concern the entire territory by next April. Because no one is safe from impoundmentvehicle, this article should interest you. And for good reason, a new reform is being implemented throughout France, with new rules concerning the expertise of the vehicle, but also the shelf life of it before being sold or destroyed. But if these developments are causing a lot of talk at the beginning of the year, no less than ten departments have already been concerned for a few months, while the reform began to be applied on November 17 in Finistère, Seine-Saint-Denis. , the Val d'Oise, the Vienne or the Pas-de-Calais. As of today, seventeen new departments are concerned, such as Aisne, Landes, Essonne, Oise or even Seine-Maritime, while these developments will extend to all of France by April 1 next. The goal ? Better identify the damage already present on the vehicle but also relieve congestionimpoundments , by reducing the legal deadline for picking up your vehicle, before it is sold or destroyed, depending on the situation. Auto-Moto takes stock with you. First of all, this new reform results in the establishment of a more detailed description sheet than before, thus listing all the scratches, blows and other breaks present on the vehicle before impounding. This document, drawn up by a judicial police officer, which is added to the report and the traffic sheet, is made up of two drawings, allowing to show with precision the location of each damage and photos. This form is ideally completed in the presence of the driver or the owner but it is not compulsory. In addition, the vehicle is no longer the subject of an automotive expertise.as was the case until then four days after its impoundment. The goal here is to facilitate the procedures, thus avoiding as much as possible the disputes with the owners. As a reminder, if you notice damage that was not present on your vehicle before it was impounded, it is quite possible to file a complaint, in particular by attaching quotes from garage owners or experts, estimating the amount of repairs. If the amicable procedure does not succeed, you can then request an appeal to the administrative court. A shorter delay From now on, once your vehicle has been impounded, you will only have fifteen days to come and collect it, by paying you the selling costs, up to € 100 for a car and € 50 for a two-wheeler, as well as impound costs. If your vehicle is in poor condition, this period drops to 10 days from the formal notice. Beyond that, it is then considered abandoned and is either sold or destroyed if its market value is too low. This is estimated according to several criteria, such as the date of entry into circulation, its technical characteristics or the cause of its impoundment. Note that the OPJ also has the possibility of withdrawing the registration certificate as a precaution if it judges that the vehicle is too damaged.

Odipo Gerphas, po[CENSORED]rly known as Odipo G, is the managing director of Judera Group Ltd, a firm that focuses on agribusiness with a concentration in spices and essential oils under the brand name 1516 We have been able to build a brand without owning a single machine. This became possible after we learnt the power, principle and art of accessing rather than owning. This has given us a way out of a Sh10 million debt the business had accumulated and which we had no way of servicing. We failed to do adequate research. We wanted instant gratification. As the team leader, I was poor in chatting the way forward. I over trusted the farm manager. Accountability was almost nonexistent. We focused more on telephone farming and were moved by speculation and became excel sheet millionaires. We over promised our investors without proof of concept. Our numbers were based on what we were told and not what we experienced. Today, we are rebuilding the business. We are not yet out of the jam but there is light. Being in debt can literally kill you. Stay out of debt if you can. I have come to understand that the mind that raised the first capital and lost is the same one that will get you out of any financial situation. However, for this to happen, a change of mindset is mandatory. Your journey from debt will begin once you start viewing money differently, then thirst and pursue a debt-free lifestyle. At one point in my life, I allowed debt to lead me into depression. This drove me into addiction. I eventually lost a good marriage, and almost lost my life in the process. I have learnt that depression is the silent killer among many, men mostly. And debt is a very big factor for many entrepreneurs. I have learnt that it is possible to rise from the ashes and start all over again. It is possible to rebuild, reinvent yourself, press the reset button and restore your factory settings. My faith brought me back from addiction, depression, suicide attempts and oppression. The greatest limitation is not the absence of funds but the fear of thinking. Money is the last thing anyone needs to start a multi-million business. I would know, seeing that I am speaking from experience. We are now running a business that will generate millions of dollars, once we clear our debt, and we do not own an acre of land or a single manufacturing plant. We needed to understand that we already had what it takes to make it happen. We had our minds. I research every day on the businesses I am undertaking. I have transformed my life through wisdom and I have enriched my business with knowledge. I use factual data that has been tried and tested. I never used to save. Today, I have adopted a method of saving profits in places that have capacity to generate more revenue. These include stocks, bonds, T bills, Britam, CIC and Old Mutual investment packages. Nation. The Guardian newspaper published an article written by Hossein Mousavian, a former Iranian diplomat and Abdul Aziz bin Saqr, a Saudi researcher, on the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran and the possibility of its solution. The two authors say that "relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran have fluctuated in the past forty years between competition and collision, and cooperation as well." They believe that despite the differences between the two countries on many issues, there is no imperative that enmity between them continues. The first step for writers on the road to resolving the crisis is for each party to acknowledge the other's perception of the dangers threatening him, whether real or imagined, and then adopt a set of principles that he can work on

With less than 24 hours to go before Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the Budget 2021 in Parliament on February 1, 2021; there are expectations, anxiety, and speculations running rife. The auto industry being one of the most impacted due to the pandemic and related economic crisis expects steps in the budget that would act as breathers for the entire industry ecosystem. (Click here to read all Budget 2021 articles.) The $118 billion Indian automobile industry is expected to reach $300 billion by 2026. Presently, the country’s automobile sector is one of the largest in the world and accounts for more than 7.1% of India's gross domestic product (GDP). Also, the auto industry contributes to nearly 22% of India’s manufacturing GDP. Besides churning a huge amount of revenue for the government, the auto industry is a key source of bringing foreign investment, generating employment. The auto retail sector alone employs around 4.5 million jobs, as stated by Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) President Vinkesh Gulati. According to data by KPMG and NSDC, by 2022, nearly 15 million people are expected to be employed directly in the Indian automobile industry. (Also Read: Budget 2021: New taxes may be counterproductive, say auto industry leaders) So far, the auto industry being a key part of the country’s manufacturing sector and having a larger job creation role, and having been impacted badly due to the crisis, expects measures by the government that will alleviate the situation. Various stakeholders of the auto industry have different expectations from the budget.

The problem of the climate crisis has been one of ‘the agency and the urgency’: because we feel like we do not have the ‘agency’ – the ability to do something as an individual – we have not felt the urgency to act. As the father of a six-year old son, I am now confronted with the reality that my actions (or inactions) have contributed to a world of potential chaos and terror – unless we do something in the ten slim years we have before ecological collapse occurs. Faced with the evidence, I understand that I need to do something about it to try. But where do I start? It is easy to point the finger at governments and expect them to fix the problem, and I do not argue that indeed massive systemic change is needed. My actions as a voter will henceforth only support candidates at a city, state, and federal level who have a clear climate action plan, and I will actively donate money to defeat candidates who accept money from the oil and gas lobbies, or who deny climate change is a reality. But it is as an individual consumer that I believe that I also need to take responsibility for my actions. I believe our behaviors collectively can help signal to corporations the huge hunger for innovation and new climate-friendly products (witness General Motor’s unprecedented announcement that it will only sell zero-emissions vehicles by 2035). So here are the six ways I’m hereby pledging to try and make a difference. (A gentle disclaimer: while these actions work for me and my family, I realize they don’t work for everyone. It’s important to find ones that work for you. I offer these simply as inspiration to get you thinking.)

You might think the Mini’s range would be an opening for the less powerful, 235kg heavier and marginally costlier Mazda MX-30 to exploit and quickly even up the scales for overall appeal. But no. With 124 miles, the first electric Mazda somehow offers even less autonomy than the Mini. Mazda’s defence is that it takes a ‘right-sizing’ approach, having carefully assessed the needs of would-be buyers. It says that fitting a bigger battery pack would make the MX-30 more expensive and the extra mass would blunt its handling, and all for no good reason, given that hardly anyone drives more than 50 miles daily. Hmm. Objectively that may be true, and it seems sensible enough on paper. But for a compact crossover, even one intended for suburban commuters, this is an unambiguously punchy strategy, and more so because Mazda desperately needs to sell plenty of these cars in Europe to avoid CO2-related fines. Apologies for the range-related downer, but at least now we can move on and get to the good bits. After all, what would boost the MX-30’s appeal considerably among existing (and surprisingly discerning, not to mention loyal) Mazda owners when it arrives in the UK imminently is if it can scalp the little Mini dynamically. The thin-rimmed steering wheel could have been ripped straight from an MX-5, the digital instruments are designed to look analogue and the fabric seats may appear to have been ordered from the Heal’s catalogue but are supportive, comfortable and sporting. By comparison, the Mini sets its driver deliciously low, with even more figure-hugging seats and a view forward that feels as though your eyeline is just skimming the scuttle. One of these cars strikes a classy GT-esque tone while the other feels raw pocket-rocket, and there’s no question which is which.

Cardiologist Dr. Amanda Verma, from Washington University in St. Louis, specializes in treating patients who experience heart failure. As we enter American Heart Month, Verma says she is excited about recent advances in medications for those patients while urging others to take steps to protect their cardiovascular health. In the most basic terms, those steps boil down to experts’ long-standing advice: Eat right and exercise. As Americans continue to take necessary precautions to avoid spreading COVID-19, she notes that they may have to become more creative in adhering to a healthy lifestyle. “With modern technology, it’s very easy to find at-home workout routines online that do not require a lot (or any) equipment and can keep you active,” Verma says. “And with social isolation, it helps to have a circle of friends to hold you accountable, so reach out and make a pact with others about exercise goals, and check in regularly.”

Pioneering Hollywood actress Cicely Tyson - who was known for portraying strong African-American characters - has died aged 96, her manager has said. No cause of the death was given. The former fashion model had a career that spanned seven decades. Tyson won two Emmys for her performance in the 1974 civil rights-era film The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. She also became the first black woman to take on a main role in the TV drama East Side/West Side in the 1960s. Presenting Tyson with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016, the then US President Barack Obama said that apart from her achievements as an actress, she had also shaped the course of history.

In the wake of the Model S, the Tesla Model X also offers a small change at the beginning of the year, with among other things a completely revised interior. The least we can say is that we absolutely did not expect it. If we knew that Tesla would soon be restyling its Model S and Model X, we didn't think it was going to happen so soon, when no clue had been given by Elon Musk, usually very talkative on social networks. And yet, here is that last night, the Californian brand lifted the veil on the new versions of its two flagship models, to everyone's surprise, while its boss did not consider it necessary to organize a keynote as it is. usually customary. However, and without acting as a revolution, the changes are numerous on the two electric vehicles, which offer themselves a real facelift and at the same time a good publicity stunt. If the Model S was mainly talked about, the Tesla Model Xis not to be outdone and for its part benefits from the same developments as the sedan, both technically and mechanically. We invite you to discover all the new features of this restyled version now! At first glance, the changes are rather inconspicuous, and almost imperceptible to the untrained eye. However, the developments are indeed there, and focus in particular on the front bumper, a little more refined than on the previous version, reminiscent of that of the Tesla Model 3 . Same thing at the rear, while the general style remains unchanged. Finally, we will note the arrival of new 19-inch rims, and that's it for the exterior. Because most of this restyling is actually in the cockpit, which receives a brand new dashboard. This then integrates a touch screenof 17 inches, no longer in a vertical position but now installed horizontally, as in the Model 3, once again. The SUV nevertheless retains its instrument cluster, positioned above a new steering wheel and which is already talking about its shape, inspired by aeronautics. Finally, a new screen appears at the rear, integrating itself into the central console. A new version Plaid In addition to these aesthetic aspects, the Tesla Model X range has also been revamped, now offering a choice between two versions. The first, called Grande Autonomie , has two engines and can then travel 580 km / h, while being able to reach a speed of 250 km / h, for a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 3.9 seconds. The second variation, to say the least unexpected and that we thought reserved for the Model S is the Plaid. It then claims no less than 1,020 horsepower from the alliance of three electric motors, allowing the exercise from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.6 seconds for a maximum speed of 262 km / h. Top-flight performance which obviously comes at the expense of autonomy, which then goes down to 547 km, which nevertheless remains more than honorable. Good news, this new version of the Tesla Model X is already available to order, starting at € 99,990 for the Long Range and € 119,990 for the Plaid. The online configurator then specifies that the first deliveries are scheduled for next September.

Germany is likely to face a shortage of coronavirus vaccines until at least April, the country's health minister has warned. "We will still have at least 10 tough weeks with a shortage," Jens Spahn wrote on Twitter. The pace of Germany's rollout has been criticised, and it has failed to meet its own daily target of vaccinations. Mr Spahn's comments come amid a row between the EU and the vaccine maker AstraZeneca over supply shortages. The UK-based company has said production issues at its Europe-based plants mean it will be unable to deliver the promised number of doses to the 27-member bloc. But the EU said the firm must honour its commitments and deliver the jabs by diverting stock from the UK. What's the problem with the EU's vaccine programme? The 71st Indian Republic Day will be celebrated on January 26, 2020. A day of national importance, Republic Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the day when the Constitution of India came into effect, declaring the country as a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. It was formally adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949. Every year, tableaux, parades and other cultural events are performed at Rajpath on the occasion of Republic Day. Apart from Indian dignitaries, foreign dignitaries are invited as guests to the occasion. This year, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will grace the event as the chief guest. He was invited by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 11th BRICS Summit last year. The city in China where the coronavirus pandemic began, Wuhan, has partially re-opened after more than two months of isolation. Crowds of passengers were pictured arriving at Wuhan train station on Saturday. People are being allowed to enter but not leave, according to reports. Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, saw more than 50,000 coronavirus cases. At least 3,000 people in Hubei died from the disease. But numbers have fallen dramatically, according to China's figures. The state on Saturday reported 54 new cases emerging the previous day - which it said were all imported. As it battles to control cases coming from abroad, China has announced a temporary ban on all foreign visitors, even if they have visas or residence permits. It is also limiting Chinese and foreign airlines to one flight per week, and flights must not be more than 75% full. Meanwhile, the virus continues to spread rapidly in other countries around the world. Nearly 600,000 infections have been confirmed globally and almost 28,000 deaths, according to figures collated by Johns Hopkins University The death toll in Spain has exceeded 5,000, after it reported 832 more fatalities in the past 24 hours. Spain is the world's worst hit country after Italy The US now has the highest number of confirmed infections at 104,000 South Korea says that for the first time it now has more people who have recovered from the virus than are still infected. It reported 146 new cases on Saturday, taking the total to 9,478 - of whom 4,811 have been released from hospital Russia and Ireland are among the latest countries to bring in new restrictions to try to slow the spread of the virus. In Russia, shopping centres, restaurants and cafes have been ordered to close. In Ireland, people will have to stay at home with limited exceptions for the next two weeks In the UK, frontline National Health Service staff in England will begin being tested this weekend to see if they have coronavirus

TO BLAME social media for an alleged demise in the art and historically rich practice of yoga seems pretty far-fetched. There is no question that as an Indian physical, mental, and spiritual practice, the broad varieties of yoga have been embraced by Western culture as one of the best forms of physical maintenance and exercise. But according to Australian National University yoga teacher and PhD student Gina Woodhill, it’s our culture of social media and narcissism, as well as a lack of regulation, that will make the practice of yoga in Australia a challenge. “There are people who go and do their 200 hours of teacher training and become very arrogant,” Ms Woodhill said. “A lot of people get caught up in ego and showing off on social media. To be a yoga teacher requires more humility than anything else.” It’s International Yoga Day. Shouldn’t we all chill out? Ms Woodhill was venting her Shiva spleen ahead of International Yoga Day today, saying that for some people who take up yoga because it’s cool, social media can be very negative. “Contorting your body into a pretzel on Instagram doesn’t mean you are doing yoga, that’s just your body type,’’ she says. Hang on a minute. Here we go. Let’s blame social media. Again. Let’s get something right here. With social media, you can choose to opt in. Or opt out. Be part of it. Not be part of it. Or just cruise in and out of it when and if you like. Anyone who continues with an us-and-them attitude toward social media needs to get over it. It is here. It is vital. And it can’t be wholly and solely blamed for any evil that someone may think it is doing.

Cardinal George Pell knew of child sexual abuse by priests in Australia as early as the 1970s but failed to take action, a landmark inquiry found. The findings on Cardinal Pell - an ex-Vatican treasurer - come from Australia's royal commission into child sexual abuse, which ended in 2017. Details were only revealed on Thursday. A court had previously redacted the report because the cleric was facing child abuse charges at the time. The cardinal has denied the findings. He said he was "surprised" by the inquiry's report, adding: "These views are not supported by evidence." Cardinal Pell was convicted of child abuse in 2018, but last month was released from jail after Australia's top court overturned his conviction. Court quashes Cardinal Pell's abuse conviction Australia child abuse inquiry finds 'serious failings' What did the inquiry find about Pell? In over 100 pages concerning Pell's actions, the commissioners found the cardinal knew of paedophile priests both early in his career, and as he progressed. In particular, the commissioners dismissed the cleric's long-stated defence that he didn't know about the actions of his former colleague Gerard Ridsdale. in the Victorian city of Ballarat. Ridsdale is in jail for hundreds of child abuse offences - and is considered Australia's worst convicted paedophile priest. "We are satisfied that in 1973 Father Pell turned his mind to the prudence of Ridsdale taking boys on overnight camps," the commissioners said in the report. "We are also satisfied that by 1973, Cardinal Pell was not only conscious of child sexual abuse by clergy, but he also considered measures of avoiding situations which might provoke gossip about it," the commission said. Pell was involved in the decision to transfer Ridsdale, as well other suspected abusers, to different parishes, the inquiry said. Since the 1990s, the cardinal has been criticised in Australia for his response to priest abuse within the Church. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse was set up in 2012, largely in response to allegations surrounding the Catholic Church. In 2016, when Cardinal Pell testified at the royal commission from Rome, he apologised on behalf of the church and said it had "mucked things up". However he did not accept any responsibility for failing to report Ridsdale and several other suspected abusers. He claimed he had been deceived by other senior clergymen. But in relation to one such claim, the commissioners said: "We do not accept that Bishop Pell was deceived, intentionally or otherwise." Australia's royal commission inquiry found that the greatest number of reported abusers were in Catholic institutions. The inquiry heard that 7% of the nation's Catholic priests allegedly abused children between 1950 and 2010.
