  2. Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he will "get the players enjoying football" again following the sacking of Jose Mourinho. United appointed their former striker as boss until the end of the season on Wednesday, a day after Mourinho was dismissed. Solskjaer, 45, takes over with United sixth in the Premier League. The Norwegian told MUTV that he wanted to see the players "express themselves" during the rest of the campaign. "We will get the players enjoying football and looking forward to seeing the supporters again," he said. Mourinho was sacked after no progress with results or style despite spending nearly £400m on 11 players in two and a half seasons in charge, while many of United's performances this season have lacked fluency. United will look to appoint a permanent boss at the end of the season. 'Solskjaer has chance of becoming full-time Man Utd manager' What can Man Utd expect from Solskjaer? Title winners to 'rotten to the core' - where did it all go wrong for Man Utd? Why Man Utd need a director of football - and is Mitchell the ideal candidate? Solskjaer spent 11 seasons at Old Trafford, scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final, and said his return "feels like coming home". When asked about his status as a fan favourite, he jokingly replied: "How long will that last?" He also promised fans that he would "give everything" to "bring the club success" and get players "enjoying football". "We have to get used to winning again and challenging for trophies," he added. "Whatever has happened has happened and everyone starts with a clean slate." Solskjaer's first match in charge will be at Cardiff - where he had an eight-month spell as manager in 2014 - on Saturday at 17:30 GMT. He was relegated from the Premier League with the Bluebirds in 2014, then sacked after a poor start to the Championship campaign. In his first spell as manager of Molde from 2011 to 2014, he won the Norwegian league twice and Norwegian Cup once. He returned to the club in 2015 and signed a new deal there earlier this month. "The more mistakes you make, the more you learn and I've made a few mistakes," he said. "I've won the league, I've won the cup but I've also been relegated so I'm getting to know the occupation." Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna, both part of Mourinho's coaching staff, will continue to work under Solskjaer. Solskjaer said he felt he needed to bring in the "experience" of Mike Phelan, who returns as first-team coach having previously worked as United assistant manager alongside Sir Alex Ferguson. "He's done it all, is an incredible calming influence on me and his football knowledge is really good," added Solskjaer.
  3. Black trim adorns the exterior of both models, and they ride on matching wheels. Toyota will expand the availability of its dark-trimmed Nightshade Special Editions to the 2019 Camry and Highlander in an effort to let customers add a little style to their new vehicle. The more stylish models will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will go on sale in 2019. The Nightshade Package comes on the mid-range SE grade of the Camry. It adds black parts for the rear spoiler, window moldings, mirror caps, radio antenna, door handles, and badges. The sedan also rides on a set of black 18-inch wheels. Buyers can specify these dark accents over Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver, or Super White exterior paint. The tweaks are similar for the Highlander Nightshade, and like the Camry, the package comes on the SE trim level. The black trim covers the rear spoiler, radio antenna, door handles, mirror caps, and Toyota emblems, in addition to surrounding the headlights and foglights. The SUV rides on a set of black 19-inch wheels with matching lug nuts. The dark trim will be available on models in Midnight Black Metallic, Predawn Gray Mica, Salsa Red Pearl, and Blizzard Pearl. Toyota will only build 5,000 units of the Highlander with the Nightshade package. Toyota first introduced the Nightshade Edition on the 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra a few months ago. Like the Camry and Highlander, the earlier models also received a bounty of black trim. The 4Runner even had a dark chrome grille. Toyota's Lexus luxury division follows a similar theme at the L.A. Auto Show by introducing the LX Inspiration Series (gallery above) at the event. The gargantuan SUV wears special Black Onyx and a matching set of 21-inch wheels. Black trim adorns the headlights, taillights, and window surrounds. Plus, there's a dark chrome grille surround. The cabin mixes things up by using Moonlight White semi-aniline leather on the seats, but mixes it with black parts for the headliner, center console, carpets, cargo mats, and key gloves.
  4. It started with a simple two cases back in 2000. Now experts predict an alarming 400 cases of the terrifying buruli ulcer this year. The mysterious flesh-eating bug is becoming more severe as incidents spread across Victoria. Now experts warn it is only a matter of time before it moves interstate and targets other parts of the country. The infection starts as a painless sore than can initially be mistaken as an insect bite but can slowly progress into a destructive skin ulcer. Doctors say there is an “epidemic” of the infection across Victoria’s Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas. Dr Daniel O’Brien, who treats the infection, said the situation had worsened. “This is by far and away the worst outbreak we’ve ever seen in Australia,” he told A Current Affair on Wednesday night. “It’s rapidly increasing, it’s becoming more severe. “It’s a problem that’s increasing quite alarmingly. In some people they’re getting much more aggressive and damaging infections.” Doctors are still struggling to understand how the bug spreads and how to stop it. They are examining links with possum faeces and mosquitoes. Former Olympian Neil Hewitt, 80, has had 15 operations since contracting the ulcer while gardening in the backyard. At one point the pain got so bad he asked doctors to give him a pill and put him to sleep, or at the very least take his arm off. Mr Hewitt spent more than three months in hospital after the bug caused the flesh on his arm to “rot away”. “It ate the flesh away. It’s changed my life,” he told the Mornington Peninsula Leader. Jett, 12, is learning to walk again after the ulcer changed his family’s life. “I remember the moment the doctor came out of surgery … he said there’s a real chance if we don’t find out what this is he will lose his leg,” his mum Arna-Leigh told A Current Affair. “I remember those words. It was really terrifying.” Bianca Ludowyke, a 31-year-old mother of two from Tootgarook on the Mornington Peninsula, was initially misdiagnosed with an infected spider bite in May. “The hospital didn’t know what was going on,” she told The Australian. “I asked them to test it for Buruli ulcer but they wouldn’t. I was told to go away and come back in a few months if it hadn’t healed. “With Isla, we were referred straight away to Dr O’Brien and got the treatment started early, so it never became a huge, open wound like mine. It’s now just a little mark on her hand.”
  5. (CNN)President Donald Trump offered his most stinging indictment yet of a Saudi effort to silence a dissident journalist, calling the series of events that led to Jamal Khashoggi's death "the worst cover up ever." "The cover up was one of the worst in the history of cover ups," Trump said from the Oval Office. "It's very simple." Later Tuesday, Trump went further, calling the episode a "total fiasco." The rebuke of Saudi Arabia's response to the death reflected Trump's growing frustration at the diplomatic crisis, which has thrust his foreign policy objectives into a harsh spotlight. It came amid an evolving administration response, which including dispatching the CIA director to Turkey to gather more details. The President has become increasingly irritated by the fallout from Khashoggi's death, multiple sources who have heard him voice his frustration told CNN. Visas to be revoked On Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US will be revoking the visas of those who murdered the Washington Post journalist, and said that the administration has "identified at least some of the individuals responsible." The top US diplomat said that the State Department is also working with the Treasury Department to apply human rights-related sanctions that includes the freezing of assets and a travel ban. After Pompeo spoke, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert announced that "21 Saudi suspects in the death of Jamal Khashoggi will have their visas revoked or be ineligible for a visa to enter the United States." Another State Department spokesperson told CNN that State wouldn't be identifying the individuals because "visa confidentiality, protected by U.S. law, prohibits us fromdiscussing individual visa cases." Saudi Arabian officials have said the October 2 killing, inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, was part of a rogue operation gone wrong. Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told Fox News on Sunday that Khashoggi's death was a "tremendous mistake" and added that his government would punish those responsible for his "murder." Trump, however, seemed less willing to accept that official explanation. He cast the situation as a lousy attempt at concealing a crime. "Somebody really messed up," he said. "Because whoever thought of that idea, I think is in big trouble. And they should be in big trouble." He said he was expecting to hear more from US intelligence officials during a meeting on Wednesday afternoon. "However they talk about it, nothing they've done has gone well. It certainly has not been spoken of properly," he said, flanked by US military brass. "The process was no good. the execution was no good. And the cover up, if you want to call it that, was certainly no good." Khashoggi son meets King, Crown Prince Salah Khashoggi, the son of the slain journalist, and another relative, Sahl bin Ahmad Khashoggi, were summoned to the Al Yamama Palace in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Tuesday, where they met the King and the Crown Prince. The King and Crown Prince "expressed their sincere condolences to the family of Jamal Khashoggi -- may God have mercy on him," SPA reported. Salah, who lives in the Saudi city of Jeddah, has been unable to travel outside Saudi Arabia for several months, as his passport had been invalidated, according to sources close to the family. Other members of Khashoggi's family, including his ex-wife and daughter, are currently in Dubai, add the sources. Trump: Erdogan 'rough' on Saudi Arabia He described an earlier phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as damning for Saudi Arabia. "He was pretty rough on Saudi Arabia, I would say," Trump said. In recent days, the President has complained about the negative coverage blanketing cable television and told confidantes he feels betrayed by the Saudis, who have presented shifting accounts about what happened to the journalist after he entered the Saudi consulate in Turkey three weeks ago to obtain a marriage document and never left.

  8. It's hard to believe, but Google Chrome is now 10 years old. Google first launched the web browser on September 2nd, 2008 and over the past decade it has grown to become the world's most used web browser, conquering both desktop and mobile markets. Google Chrome has expanded its feature set over the years (as well as its penchant for consuming large amounts of memory), and now it's time for another visual overhaul. The latest version of Chrome adheres to Google's Material Design 2 philosophy, which gives the browser a more modern design complete with rounded tabs and a brighter overall look. Icons have been redesigned and animations have been updated as well. While Chrome 69 is still immediately recognizable, there are some new features being added including an enhanced Omnibox that can preview more information as you type so that you can more quickly find what you're searching for. Chrome can now suggest strong passwords for your online accounts and save them in your keychain. Autofill intelligence has been updated as well to enhance your online shopping experience. oogle is also using its artificial intelligence (AI) prowess to make browsing more productive and safer. "AI is already working for you in features like Google Translate in Chrome, which uses a state-of-the-art AI-based translation engine to bring all the world’s information to you in a language you can understand, right in your browser," writes Rahul Roy-Chowdhury, VP for Chrome and Chrome OS. "We've also integrated machine learning to detect phishing and malware sites, and most recently began applying it to detect malicious extensions." But what about the future? Chowdhury has some thoughts on that as well: Already, we're working on integrating augmented reality (AR) into Chrome to bring information that you interact with across the web and put directly into your physical environment. Say you’re shopping for a couch online and want to see how it would look in your living room. With the power of AR and Chrome, you’d be able to place a virtual rendition of a couch in your living room, right from your smartphone. This is just one example of how more immersive experiences on Chrome could help you get things done faster. Chrome 69 is now available for download for Windows, macOS and Linux (where it should auto-update) and will soon be pushing out to Android and iOS.
  9. It looks like Intel chips have started to become more po[CENSORED]r compared to those from AMD among the masses as revealed in the latest CPU sales statistics shared by Mindfactory.de. We are talking about sales from the largest online retailer in Germany which reveal that Intel CPUs have started out selling AMD Ryzen processors which had mostly dominated the German markets since their arrival last year. Intel Processors Outselling AMD’s In The Latest CPU Sales Results From Germany’s Largest Online Retailer When AMD launched Ryzen processors, Intel had a dominant position with more than 64.4% share in monthly revenue compared to AMD’s 35.6%. That started to change in the mid of 2017 when AMD, for the first time, overtook Intel CPUs in terms of sales and revenue on Germany’s largest online retailer. That success was due to several reasons, AMD had a highly competitive processor lineup after many years and a platform that was priced in the sweet spot range. Furthermore, AMD offered more cores whereas Intel had their flagship Core i7-7700K at just 4 cores and 8 threads. AMD’s flagship was more than twice of that in terms of cores and thread count, further enticing the deal was the fact that AMD’s platform is meant for long term CPU line support whereas Intel’s 200-series platform ended support for any modern chip. Till November of 2017, AMD enjoyed a good dominant position but December of 2017 and January of 2018, the tides shifted back to Intel. With Coffee Lake availability getting better, Intel saw leading the charts once again with the Core i7-8700K becoming the most po[CENSORED]r chip among the masses. Intel now stands at 58% CPU sold per month share while AMD’s CPU managed to fall around 42%. The monthly revenue from Intel chips has also gained big numbers thanks to the flagship Core i7-8700K amounting for bulk of the sales while AMD’s revenue share has fallen in this regard since considering that their most po[CENSORED]r chip, the Ryzen 5 1600 is part of the budget segment. The Ryzen 7 series aren’t very po[CENSORED]r among consumers as compared to the Ryzen 5 line whereas Intel’s Coffee Lake unlocked lineup are highly po[CENSORED]r.
