  1. Premiere date: April 25, 2019 Designer: Louis Denizet Developer: Hibernian Workshop Platforms: PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One Publisher: The Arcade Crew, DotEmu, Maple Whispering Co., Ltd. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: OS: Windows 7 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i3-540 or AMD Phenom II X4 965 Memory: 2 GB memory Graphics Card: GeForce GTS 250 or Radeon HD 5770 Storage space: 500 MB available space RECOMMENDED: OS: Windows 7+ 64-bit Processor: i3-6100 Memory: 6 GB memory Graphics Card: GeForce GT 730 Storage space: 500 MB available space Explore the secrets of a mysterious fallen temple and put your Templar faith to the test in Dark Devotion, where no sacrifice is too great in praise of your God. Measure your devotion and your bravery by journeying into deepest darkness for answers to questions that will challenge your very existence. A demandin fight to the death Dark Devotion features a richly detailed, immersive narrative that unfolds a sombre tale of your Templar religion’s irresistible calling. Every encounter challenges your fortitude, piety, and conviction as you move deeper into your cursed pilgrimage. Spanning four unique worlds, each with their own incredibly detailed environments, you’ll wield dozens of weapons in your quest to discover the Temple’s secret: all the while assailed by dark enemies and devious bosses whose core mission is to destroy your soul and damn you forever. Throughout Dark Devotion you’ll discover an array of weapons, armors, and relics with which to enhance your character. Each item has its own attributes and statistics, and is customizable with mystical runes. It is essential that you maximize your strengths and adapt your inventory to the enemy you’re facing. Choose wisely... Dark Devotion is a story of perseverance, dedication, and secrets. Every chest you open, every item you encounter holds another piece of the story: be it a letter, weapon, or clue, all will help you on your quest. Whether you find these secrets amongst the shadows or in the dead hand of another character ...well, that all depends. In the Temple, Faith is your only recourse against the heathen droves. Defeat them to collect Faith and unlock secret paths, special chests, and more. But remember to use your Faith sparingly. Nothing lasts forever. The Temple yearns to see you dead. Your survival depends on using the right item at the right time to heal your wounds or dispel a curse. Some of these items can be looted, others are scattered throughout the Temple in secret places. Employ them wisely… your life depends on it. The eye of your God is ever-watchful. Complete an act of bravery or skill, and your God might bless you. But the Temple is also rife with despair and sickness, ready to destroy those who lack courage and temperance. Learn quickly its ways, or suffer. Salvation is fleeting, so choose your route wisely. Every world in Dark Devotion offers several different paths. Each one is original, but all are interconnected, and the only commonality they share is that there is no turning back. Completing your quest requires shrewd interpretation of the secrets shrouded within the Temple. It’s easy to get lost, though this might bring you favor...depending on the secret you uncover. Perhaps the Temple will reveal a hidden altar where one’s story can be saved if one honors the Temple appropriately...or perhaps not. ● Dynamic and heavy combat ● Dozens of weapons, armor, and items for various fighting styles ● Intricate system of blessings, curses, and illnesses ● White-knuckle boss battles ● Rich, complex storyline ● Dark levels and brooding environments Addictive gameplay and challenging combat The most important part of any rogue-like and RPG is the gameplay, and Dark Devotion mostly nails the combat, both on mouse and keyboard or gamepad. There's a steep learning curve to overcome, which is what one should expect going into any game such as this, but once you master the basics, it's possible to get some great combos going while timing blocks and dodges to negate potential damage. Enemies utilize different attacks and weapons to make you think about how to approach situations. Stamina is present and is depleted every time you roll, dodge or use a weapon. Depending on whether you're rocking spells, a melee or ranged weapon, you'll need to watch for telegraphed enemy attacks and react accordingly. It's easier said than done, but once you've died a few times to that one enemy or boss who seems incredibly overpowered (and likely is), you'll get to a point where it becomes less one-sided and the resulting victory makes it so much sweeter. And you don't necessarily choose a class before you leave the hub area. Like Dead Cells, what weapons and items you come across will dictate how you take down various foes. It keeps the gameplay feeling fresh, since the player isn't locked into using a specific set of attacks. From the get-go, your character is essentially bare-fisted. In fact, you can run out and use nothing but your trusty knuckles. But I died often. In fact, I was tempted to count how many times I would die during the playthrough for this review, but I promptly gave up. It's all part of the learning process. I'd encounter a new area with something I've yet to see and get pummeled, only to return and make further progress. Instead of simply dying and returning to a checkpoint, you lose everything aside from experience points and return to the hub area called Fithblood Shelter — this is where you start, respawn, take quests, and do other things to get prepped for your adventures. Upon respawning from a lost run, you'll need to grab some things from the blacksmith before heading out, and the selection of equipment improves as you progress further and come across shiny new items. Having faith is important, and Dark Devotion will attempt to capture it at any given moment, whether you need to use a spell, unlock a secret area or use an altar to regain some much-needed health. You can only hold a certain amount of faith, depending on bonuses or items you may have active at that time, so using it wisely is a challenge since you're uncertain what the next area will contain. Destroying enemies will reward you with both experience points and faith. Moving around the world is accomplished by using connected doors or altars, though the latter can only have a single altar active at any given time, allowing you to return to a particular area from Filthblood Shelter. This is an ingenious way of handling fast-travel. The only downside is it's not well explained, and you may find yourself progressing far beyond where you should before dying in your first completed quest. Incredible visuals matched with poor options The first thing you notice with Dark devotion is how good it looks. This is one gorgeous 2D pixel game, even from the main menu. It's mesmerizing. I found myself gazing at the screen a few times just to take in some of the exceptionally executed visuals. How this art style was used to create such a doom and gloom environment with a fallen temple is beyond me, as it works flawlessly, giving you a sense of hopelessness in each lit pixel. What saddens me about Dark Devotion is the lack of options available. You can't even set volume levels. This is a PC game released in 2019. The options area is incredibly bare with barely anything in there worth changing aside from language and screen resolution. I would like to see the settings section flushed out a little more in a future patch to give players more toggles to play around with. Speaking of volume, the music — while thematic and immersive — can start to feel a little repetitive as you progress further in a playthrough. The story, map movement, and narrative could have used some additional love through development, as well. I understand and appreciate how everything is dripfed using notes and other pieces acquired from chests, lost souls and other characters, but it just feels lacking when compared to the addictive gameplay. It's a strange one since the lore is present, it's just not immediately obvious as to what's going on without heading out into the unknown a handful of times. Play Dark Devotion if you love intense action Even with a few minor gripes, Dark Devotion is one indie gem I would recommend to fans of rogue-likes and Dark Soul imitations. The game quickly grabs you with its addictive gameplay elements and mechanics, tasking you with getting accustomed with the controls from the start, then keeping an eye out for hidden areas on maps to acquire better equipment. You will die a lot in Dark Devotion, but no death feels cheated, even when you roll into a trap you know is already there. Dark Devotion looks amazing, sounds great and plays seriously well for a game with a fraction of the budget other titles in this genre have available. Adding in unique mechanics to keep the game feeling fresh help prevent the player from getting burned out running through the familiar gameplay loop. It's just a shame more light wasn't shed on the story and narrative to really captivate the player on beyond smashing in skulls.
  2. The chief of Kalotina border checkpoint and more than 30 customs officers were arrested It is an organized criminal group dealing with corruption Thirty people - the entire shift of customs officers, as well as border police officers - were detained at a large-scale action by the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor's Office of Kalotina border checkpoint. Among those arrested is the head of the Kalotina customs office, said Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, who along with the Interior Ministry's Secretary General Ivaylo Ivanov announced details of the action. Investigations are underway under the supervision of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office. It is an organized criminal group dealing with corruption. They were bribing people passing through the point, according to BGNES. "It is a large-scale organization, an extremely large-scale organization," the prosecutor general said. Interior Ministry Secretary General Ivaylo Ivanov said the implementation of the large-scale action was a fact, as the services managed to keep everything around the investigation secret. The police operation was also joined by the Homeland Security and anti-corruption commission. "There are more than 30 people detained - the whole shift from customs officers who are here to work, there are border police officers," the Interior Ministry's secretary general said. The Kalotina border checkpoint was temporarily suspended in both directions. The cars traveling to the point were located in Slivnitsa and Dragoman areas. Because of the arrests, the station was left without customs officers to change and had to be closed for hours. And from the Interior Ministry, they were distributing water to queues. However, some of the drivers and passengers were nervous about the situation. The prosecution and police are yet to provide more information on the scheme in which the detainees operated.
  3. Depression - Can We Deal No one knows exactly what causes depression, but the symptoms do not go away easily Having a bad mood from time to time is completely normal, and especially when the season is autumn and winter, it seems to be more common than even the snow. It is no coincidence that the winter months are full of holidays - in order to have reasons to be happier and happier, despite the low mood, low tone and bad weather. And, after all, no one can be cheerful and smile all the time! Some of the finest works in literature, film and poetry have been created by their authors when they were unhappy or sad. However, depression is something different - it is not just a bad mood that catches us in the morning and leaves us at noon. She is in a bad mood for days and months, combined with anxiety, insomnia and other side effects of the most common mental suffering in the world. Unfortunately, while in the spring and summer depression seems to recede to the sun and heat, in the fall and winter season it comes back full force. No one knows exactly what causes depression - it can be a specific event or combination of factors, but who once had a depressive period in their life is aware that the symptoms do not disappear easily, but they may come back and be surprised. Depression is not a diagnosis that can be handed out and treated with a light hand, much less - neglected. It is a suffering that in its severe manifestations comes with a number of dangerous symptoms - hallucinations, severe apathy and suicidal thoughts, and then should not in any case be ignored, and on the contrary - requires lightning intervention by a doctor and, if necessary, taking medication. . Mild and moderate depression, on the other hand, can be treated by ourselves as long as we know the right practices and products that will help us overcome anxiety and insomnia and enjoy a normal life again. For starters, we need to make sure that what we are struggling with is some kind of depression, not really an accidental bad mood because of failed plans or some other factor that made us feel bad. However, if the symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and lack of happiness continue and prevent you from living a normal life and fulfilling your responsibilities, then we can assume that you do have a mild to moderate depression. If there was a rating for the most depressing season of the year, then winter would surely top it, and since there is still plenty of time until spring and summer, what we can do is turn to nature at ... the pharmacy . St. John's wort, which we all know, is the main ingredient in one of the good fighters for autumn-winter depression. It contributes to the management and short-term treatment of some of the most common symptoms of depression - labile mood, internal anxiety, anxiety, states of tension, difficulty falling asleep, and restless sleep. Its main composition is a dry extract of the above-ground parts of the plant Hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort) collected during the flowering period. And if the symptoms persist or return with greater force - seek medical attention. There is nothing shameful about depression - the more a society is aware of the issue, the more relevant we will be to our people, to our own emotional state and to those of others.

Although a premise has been explored in other Sims games, the system has been significantly refined, expanded, and elaborated upon. This is the pack that lets you have your Sims, well, get famous, and live the life of a celebrity - whatever sort of celebrity that may be. Getting famous is a full-time commitment, requiring enough effort and attention to significantly overhaul the basic gameplay loops of The Sims 4. There's a new acting career, along with multiple ways to get famous: uploading videos, social media, creating music or comedy , and they are on. It is even possible to, with a lot of work and finesse, get famous for essentially nothing but being a local fixture in coffee shops and venues. The most effective route to quick celebrity stardom is passing auditions and nailing gigs, all of which require different skills. Still acting and charisma-centered, though some gigs will center on other skills like comedy and fitness. Being an actor is an “active” job, which means that you have the choice to follow your Sims to work. Very similar to Doctor, Detective and Scientist careers from Get to Work, but this time your Sim must first nail an audition, then show up to the gig. Once proceeded at the gig, done with your hair and make-up, and ready to proceed, you have to go through your rolls. You can take the “safe” route on choices, or swing for the stretches and stretch skills like fitness, charisma, dancing, or so on. Is a matter of risk and reward, and successful gambles reward you with more glory. EA / Maxis A traditional Sim family might want to opt out of fame altogether, as it totally monopolizes the game if even a slightly famous Sim leaves the lot. Fans and paparazzi instantly swarm you. Some of them faint. Is really hard to befriend a Sim with celebrity status while on a community lot. Often you have to hope that one of them just passes your residence on a whim. If you want to be famous, you have to constantly perform actions that will grant you fame, otherwise your fame level will slip. In a way, its on par with actual celebrity life and how inescapable your own celebrity can be. Well, kinda - in the Sims, if you decide that having a paparazzi swarm you always go out is too much, you can opt out of the Fame system with a click of a button. A much more elegant system than in The Sims 3, where fame was an inescapable gravity well. In The Sims 3, you would not only collect more fame over time, but the people around you also became famous just by being your family member or friend. On a long enough timeline, an entire family could be famous, and get swarmed. Now, you have the time in time and effort to earn a full family of Kardashians, which means its easier to navigate the glory beads because it is less opt-in for your Sims, with an easy opt-out option. Further rounding this out is a leveling and branching system that works a lot like the Vampire system from their expansion: You earn celebrity points from all sorts of things, from singing in public to posting a selfie. Since your fame and career are always linked, you may eventually become a famous doctor, astronaut, or video game streamer. Leveling up gives you the quirks that complicate your famous life. If you get the "vain street" quirk, you get a massive confidence boost from looking into a mirror, but if you have admired yourself lately, you fall into a sour mood. Another quirk involves your information being leaked to the public, and getting harassed as a result. Even possible to acquire one obsessive apartment who stalks your home, or a "juice obsession" where you get a drinking problem. Independent of your fame is your reputation, which works as a general alignment and allows you to unlock different fame talents. This nicely revitalizes some basic sim traits, like being evil. Now, you can pick fights in public and get admired for it. You may be super famous, but everyone thinks you think a terrible person. On the flip side, you can have a humble audience, but the people who do know you think the bees knees. Reputation and fame work on completely independent tracks, which means not yet linked one-to-one as you advance. If you are, for instance, the best criminal in SimNation, you might have an incredibly villainous reputation, but that might make you famous. Shows a fun wrinkle to the celebrity system that encourages doing multiple playthroughs and taking different approaches to becoming famous, with different perks and outcomes. This is a welcome change from the more linear professions, which provide occasional skill checks but eventually all end with your character at the top of their field, disappearing in a few hours, and coming home with the big bucks. Unlike the Seasons expansion, which adds small-yet-robust touches that compliment the base game, Get Famous Hands You A Meaty Chunk Of Content To Dig Your Teeth Into. Get Famous clev
  7. Title: Elite Dangerous: Horizons Available On: Xbox One (coming soon), PC Developer: Frontier Developments Publisher: Frontier Developments Genre: Space-Flight Simulator Release Date: December 15, 2015 Version Reviewed: PC Where To Buy: Steam, Xbox Live Elite Dangerous: Horizons is the first major expansion for the space flyer sim Elite: Dangerous. How exactly does this expansion make the base game even better? It adds in planetary landings. This allows for more exploration of what is already a vast map. The expansion takes everything that I loved and just adds more to it. Let’s an in-depth look at the new expansion. Frontier Developments has also now renamed Elite: Dangerous into Elite Dangerous: Horizons. Horizons will cover what will be the next few mini-expansions. Players can look forward to planetary landings (which is what this review primarily covers), crafting, multi-crew ships, and commander avatar creation. First off, if you were already familiar with Elite Dangerous, then you should feel right at home with the Horizons expansion. Players can still do the same jobs that range from trader to pirate. The miners will definitely feel more right at home in Planetary Landings since the SRV now allows for more options to gather resources and sell them to the different outposts. Even though many people might say that the base game was lacking in content, there is still plenty to do in the game. You get what you give with Elite Dangerous. The gameplay in Elite Dangerous: Horizons mostly remains the same except for the introduction of the SRV (Surface Reconnaissance Vehicle). The SRV allows players to approach planets and begin to land on them. In order to use the SRV, players must purchase the “Planet Approach Suite.” This suite adds the augments needed for your ship’s thrusters in order to decelerate and land on the planet. The SRV takes up a hangar slot in your ship. Players will have to change around their loadout if they want to use the SRV. Landing on planets is a pretty involved process. As you approach a planet, it stops being an astronomical body and becomes an environment. As this happens, the game never changes from one mode to another. The landing is actually seamless as it happens. Your HUD changes to match the horizon on the planet and your ship begins to feel more like an aircraft. The feeling is really even more present as you look at the ground on the planet and can tell that you are slowing down to match the rotation of the planet. The sound in the game is still hauntingly familiar as you fly through space. The chirps and beeps of your ship remind you that you are alone on your journey. The music that plays in the background only serves to add to that feeling. This isn’t a bad thing since players are usually more focused on one goal. The sounds and the music are simply there to compliment everything that is happening on screen. When players land on a planet, the SRV also sounds as one might expect. The hum of the engine and the crashing of the tires on alien worlds give the impression that you are really the on that world and exploring. One thing that is really impressive is the lighting. Frontier Developments has put a lot of detail into making sure that each world and each system in the galaxy is appropriately lit as they should be. Combined with the dust and haze that come from the planets, the lighting becomes very moody and sombre. This tone perfectly matches the rest of the game. On top of everything else, it might be safe to say that Frontier Developments is a company that listens to its community. Elite: Dangerous Horizons brings improvements to the game that was based on community feedback. One major change is an improvement to the HUD. Players now have a way to see more info about their journey along with a way to track faction and rank progression. Horizons has brought some big changes to Elite Dangerous, but the game still suffers from one major issue that I had with the base game. I think the game could use a way to become more user-friendly in terms of flying. The gratification that one gets when they finally master the art of flying is nice, but the difficulty spike for it can turn some people off of the game. I did find a way to make the flying somewhat easier, but I had to dig into the options menu and play around with the settings. Overall, Elite Dangerous: Horizons only adds to the fun of flying through space and exploring new planets. As a fan of the base game, I continue to look forward to what Frontier Developments has in store for Elite Dangerous: Horizons. I love the thought of flying through space and exploring the unknown. The addition of landing on planets only serves to add to my excitement as I continue my career as a commander in charge of a ship that is set to make its way into the far reaches of space. Gameplay: Space-flight sim with the steep learning curve for ships. SRV’s are a little easier to get used to. Graphics: Impressive lighting and details on planets. Ship design is also very good. Sound: Moody and somber music give the game an atmosphere, unlike many others. Presentation: The game is always played in a first-person perspective. This gives the feeling of being in control of your own ship.
  8. No Man's Sky is a survival survival game developed and published by indie Hello Games studio. It was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in August 2016 and for Xbox One in July 2018. The game is built around four pillars: exploration, survival, battle and commerce Premiere Date: August 9, 2016 Composer: 65daysofstatic Developer: Hello Games Designer: Gareth Bourne Awards: The Game Award for Most Expected Game Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 (64-bit versions) Processor: Intel Core i3 Memory: 8 GB memory Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 480, AMD Radeon 7870 Storage space: 10 GB available space RECOMMENDED: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system In 2019, No Man’s Sky is the water fight of games. When your water balloons are stacked high and your water gun is full it’s an absolute blast. But inevitably, you run out of liquid ammunition and have to pause for several minutes, soaking wet and shivering, while you operate a hose and refill your stores for the next round of fun. While the recent Beyond represents another significant step in the right direction for No Man’s Sky that improves itself in almost every area, the uninteresting harvesting and survival mechanics that underlie it all remain incredibly grindy and frequently mind-numbingly tedious. It often feels like it’s been made by two teams with opposing views on game design, who are each tugging at either side of it until eventually agreeing to meet in the middle or tear it in half. At its best, No Man’s Sky plays like an increasingly elaborate interstellar Animal Crossing. You travel the stars and visit strange, procedurally generated planets in a never-ending quest for loot and money to spend on upgrades for your survival suit and weapon, ships to pilot, rovers to drive, and bases to build. Every time you think you’ll log off for the night, another notification pops up that reminds you about that one last thing you really wanted to do, and before you can say “I need an intervention,” it’s 5 AM and you’re redecorating your fifth base on some remote world or taming a bizarre creature that looks like the lovechild of Big Bird and an octopus. Here's how you tame and ride creatures in No Man's Sky Beyond It’s easy to appreciate the improvements and additions included in the Beyond update because they’re apparent as soon as you boot it up. Improved graphics highlight things like detail on your ships and a revamped tutorial and mission guidance system makes it much more clear what you should be working toward at any given time. Unlocking new technologies has been reimagined as skill trees that are easy to understand. And these are just a few of the highlights on the massive laundry list of things in the Beyond update that make No Man’s Sky vastly more interesting than it's ever been. With Beyond, No Man’s Sky is vastly more interesting than it's ever been. “ But the same things that make playing No Man’s Sky a wonderful, habit-forming odyssey that would make Tom Nook proud often work against you -- like when you find yourself repeatedly grinding the same materials and crafting the same parts over and over again in an ongoing effort to fuel the numerous engines of interstellar life. You’ll spend tedious hours mining rocks to craft metal plates that you need to make starship engine fuel just so you can take off in your ship and see the still-impressive, completely seamless transition from ground to outer space and back again. And even though No Man’s Sky’s carrying limitations have been even further loosened with the Beyond update your inventory still fills up almost constantly, ensuring that the grind will never be defeated. With few ways to automate resource gathering, exploring the cosmos often takes a back seat to waiting for your mining laser to melt a tree into resources for minutes at a time. And, considering how central exploration is to No Man’s Sky’s appeal, it’s staggering just how many mechanics still seem dead set on preventing you from doing just that. Why are your sprint and jetpack capabilities meters so limited, and why does using them draw from your life support meter? Why does every language have to be learned one word at a time, meaning that even after dozens of hours of playing you still can’t really understand any of the alien races you encounter? Why, for the love of God, does every planet in the universe have violent weather events every couple of minutes that require you to shut yourself indoors or hide in a cave and wait out to survive? Time and time again, No Man Sky begs you to explore it but then (quite literally) forces you walk, not run. Hello Games' Sean Murray walks us through Beyond's many improvements in the video below. It’s odd that No Man’s Sky still has so many irritating elements, because it’s also very clearly aware that they exist and tries to smooth over the issues rather than simply fixing them. For example, combat remains as dull and repetitive as ever, so the appearance of hostile lifeforms and robotic sentinel space police has been reduced instead of trying to make fighting them more entertaining. Space dogfights also remain monotonous and overly simplistic in Beyond, and while controls seem to have improved and encounters don’t drag on as long, fighting off pirates is never more than an annoying interruption to your travels. Beyond brings NMS dangerously close to what we all thought it was when it was first revealed. “ And yet, there’s something truly special about No Man’s Sky after the Beyond update that brings it dangerously close to being what we all thought it was when it was first revealed years ago. Getting lost among the stars, seeing strange and unique creatures, and claiming a piece of the nigh-limitless galaxy for yourself by building a home are all rewarding and all but completely unique to No Man’s Sky. It’s hard not to fall in love with it in the brief pockets of time where it isn’t forcing you to beat your head against a wall for an hour while you search for a deposit of copper but the stupid Dr. Seuss planet you’re on has is uranium. In the course of my travels, I found myself stranded on a massive water planet filled with aggressive jellyfish, stared in awe at some bizarre life forms that were made up of levitating crystals, and explored the murky caves on an atmosphere-free moon. Of course, regardless of how they look every planet still has an identical loop of gathering materials, hiding from inevitable and frustrating storms of heat or ice or toxins, and maybe building a base or riding an animal or two along the way. But still there’s an undeniable rush of excitement in discovering and exploring a planet for the first time that doesn’t go away even after hours of play. Beyond also alters and consolidates No Man’s Sky’s three main storylines into a more cohesive set of quests that intertwine, and they are much more accessible for it. One of the best-kept secrets of No Man’s Sky is that the story is actually fairly complex, with twists and turns that even go so far as to explain the reason behind the universe’s existence. But frankly, the vehicle by which the story is told – an endless chain of fetch quests and vague conversations with generic NPCs – makes the whole thing not at all worth the effort. Your time is better spent doing the things that are entertaining to you, finding your way to the end of the main quest lines only if you manage to find joy in doing so. (Or, y’know, YouTube exists.) Multiplayer features have been drastically improved with Beyond, though it still falls far short of today’s standards in many ways – especially where organization is concerned. The Anomaly space station is now a social hub that allows you to encounter other players organically rather than by invite or chance (though doing so is still quite rare), and together you can undertake short group missions via The Nexus or even visit one another’s bases by stepping through a massive teleporter. The number of players in a single instance has been bumped up from four to eight on consoles and up to 32 on PC, but actually organizing activities together can be a bit of a nightmare. For starters, you’re given very few tools to find one another in the expansive galaxy, and unless everyone is communicating and staying together it’s easy to get lost or left behind with no easy way to rejoin your friends. If you find yourself without the required materials to launch or pilot your ship when everybody else takes off, for example, you’ll either get left behind by your friends or will hold up the group while you go shoot a laser at some plants for a few minutes. Sharing resources with one another is still, sadly and inexplicably, not an option. Correction: you can share resources. Most of the major and strange multiplayer glitches from last year’s NEXT update (in hindsight, a very funny name now that it’s the previous one) have been ironed out, though you’ll probably still encounter the odd bug now and again. I had incidents where my partner couldn’t see the enemies attacking me, or animation issues making it unclear when one of us was firing our mining laser. Playing with others makes the grind of No Man’s Sky much more bearable, but oftentimes because having someone to share in your pain can be really cathartic. No Man’s Sky VR VR makes its debut in No Man’s Sky with the Beyond update (on PlayStation VR and PC, at least), and wandering around an undiscovered planet and hearing unknown critters walk up behind you is an exciting and sometimes unnerving experience. Using hand tracking with Move wands or Oculus/Vive/Index/etc controllers to aim your weapons and tools feels natural, even if you’re still just engaging in the usual monotony of harvesting. Using VR in space flight, on the other hand, is an overwhelmingly positive experience which benefits from your character being stationary and blurriness not mattering quite as much in the darkness of the void. And while it doesn’t fix the monotony of dogfighting, it absolutely makes it more immersive because you can look up through your ship’s canopy. Movement options offer a static mode with teleportation and click-turning that can be a bit hard to learn but is easy on those of us with weaker stomachs, or a smooth-movement mode that acts the same way the non-VR mode does. However, on the PlayStation VR it was so low-res and blurry that it might make you lose your lunch like it did mine… twice. Still, seeing the galaxy of No Man’s Sky from a true first-person perspective can be a breathtaking experience, even if technical limitations mean there’s still a long way to go before it makes us feel like we’re really there. Verdict No Man’s Sky, now in its third year, has vastly improved in virtually every way, from the number and scale of things you can build alone or with friends to the story and progression. But in its heart still beats a vicious grind and painful monotony that’s difficult to swallow even with all the new content and quality-of-life improvements. Even so, it’s easy to be drawn to its addictive ecosystem of upgrades and exploration, and with functional multiplayer and VR capabilities in play there’s a lot to love about this space-faring exploration adventure.
  9. This is the first 900-volt electric vehicle The competitor of the future electric S-Class will offer a range of up to 640 km. In 2017, Lucid Motors showed off an Air Electric car, but after a month when it debuts at the New York showroom, Lucid Air will be much more modified than the one shown three years ago. The biggest news about the company's first electric model is the fact that Air will be equipped with a 900-volt system. This was announced by company president Peter Rawlison. The top version of the Air promises 400 miles (644 km). In an interview with the Electrek site, Rawlison says, "Tesla is 400 volts. Porsche introduces an 800-volt system. We are introducing a 900-volt system. ”This will allow the use of smaller diameter cables that reduce weight. During fast charging, the voltage of the charging station is very important, as is the case with the 800-volt Taycan. There are still many DC charging stations in the US with a maximum of 450 volts, while the gradual construction of higher-voltage stations, as is the case in Europe, is just beginning. Like Tesla with Model Y, Lucid Motors also wants to make a significant improvement in drive efficiency - with a new transmission (among other things) that should improve system-wide efficiency. Therefore, 400 miles (about 640 km) can be achieved with a smaller (hence lighter and cheaper) battery pack than the originally announced 130 kWh package. Rawlison did not say what the capacity of the battery would be, nor whether Air would be offered with a larger battery, since a 130 kWh battery was provided from the outset in the design of the car. The initial focus will be on the more luxurious versions, which will cost about $ 100,000. The $ 60,000 version, originally announced, does not specify a time limit for its debut. But Rawlison wants to dethrone Tesla, believing that their creation can reach 4 - 5 miles (6.4 - 8 km) per kilowatt hour. Tesla promises 4.1 miles per kilowatt hour for Model Y.
  10. The secret of impactful design Iveta PopovaIvet Popova What makes a space design really good? A question that can offer different answers is - is it a design that delicately balances the needs of the residents with the cost of the investment to create it, or is it one that enhances their lives? And what makes him apart from being good and influential? For me, as an architect and designer, this answer simply consists in making the interior meaningful to the occupant, complementing and emphasizing the qualities of the space, making it better. An approach to creating such a design is for me a place that is comfortable for all senses. The effect of engaging the senses Surely everyone has experienced at least once that moment of "on-going" memory or sensation of a person, an event, only smelled of a familiar scent. And maybe even a sudden, deep emotion even with the first music chords on a favorite track? Making sense of our lives is subordinated to multi-sensory connections that we create consciously and subconsciously. Therefore, the environment that we will consider comfortable should also engage the senses on many levels, and most importantly, not to annoy them, but to comfort them. It is no accident that in nature one feels extremely comfortable. It is an environment that offers endless visual stimuli, a bouquet of flavors and plenty of sounds in the most perfect form. That is why I believe that the way we perceive information through our senses and build a whole sense of our surroundings is an extremely important aspect to consider when creating an interior. Architecture and interior are the art of synchronizing between environment, space and man. And the real professionalism is to know how the inhabitant perceives in order to offer the best individual solution, which will give him the right meaning and define him as comfort. The relationship between senses and spatial design? We can influence how people feel in a space through its physical design. The physical aspects of space not only stimulate how we move, but also create a mood, atmosphere or shared energy that is perceived by our brain - both consciously and unconsciously. This perception is refracted through our personal sensation through the senses and the larger picture, created by our experiences in the respective environment. In order to create a meaningful experience for people in a given space, we must design, engaging the mind (perception at the cognitive level) and the body (perception at the sensory level) with a deliberately designed environment. We can express it in a unique way: mind + body + environment = impactful experience. An important part is creating the atmosphere. It contains many aspects and stimuli - visual, sound, taste. The shape of space gives us a starting point, from then on we play with colors, light, touch. Each of these elements provides key opportunities for us to consider what sensory signals the place will convey and what experience we would like to present to residents. Is it quiet and relaxing? Is it provocative and stimulating? That is why it is important to be careful about the right choice of materials. Both visual and tactile sensation are actively involved here. Overall lighting design, temperature control, a well-designed acoustic environment are just some of the aspects we need to integrate for full impact.
  11. The threat from Siberia could lead to a climate catastrophe The ever-frozen soil layer covers a huge area, estimated to contain 1500 billion tonnes of carbon The ever-frozen ice in Canada, Alaska and Siberia is melting faster, threatening the world, because huge amounts of methane are trapped beneath the frozen surface of the soil. Greenhouse gas is many times more active than carbon dioxide. Scientists have long feared that climate change, which raises temperatures in the Arctic and subarctic regions at twice the rate of the rest of the world, will release methane under the frozen soil layer and completely change the Earth's climate. So far, however, it has been supposed that this process will be gradual and humanity will have time to react. This week, however, a post in the Nation raised the alarm. Current climate models overlook the fact that in many cases, the icy terrain literally disintegrates, sometimes within days. "Although the freezing of the ever-frozen soil will occur in less than 20 percent of the area, this changes the carbon footprint by about 50 percent," said Merrit Turetsky, head of the Boulder Institute for Arctic and Alpine Studies. , Colorado. The ever-frozen layer is composed of soil, sand, rocks and crushed ice. The methane in it comes from the numerous plants and animals that once inhabited the Arctic. About 5 million years ago, the climate in most of the region was rather temperate. Even the northernmost parts of the land, now occupied by the tundra, were covered with dense forests of pine and spruce. The last ice age, which lasted about 100,000 years, is part of a cycle that began about 2.7 million years ago. It is related to the rise of species adapted to the colder climate, such as the mammoths that appeared about 1 million years ago. The end of the last glacial period about 12,000 years ago gave impetus to humans as the dominant species on Earth and led to the disappearance of many large animals, including mammoths. They were driven north by the onset of man and the replacement of the forest steppes with climate warming. It is estimated that the remains of some 150 million mammoths are buried in Siberia alone. The ever-frozen soil layer covers a huge area - almost as large as the United States and Canada. It is estimated to contain about 1,500 billion tonnes of carbon, which is twice the amount in the atmosphere and three times more than that emitted by mankind since the beginning of the industrial era. Under current climate models, defrosting Arctic soil will release 60 to 100 billion tonnes of carbon by 2300. However, given the rapid melting of part of the frozen layer, the rate and amount of greenhouse gas emissions increase dramatically. One tonne of carbon is equivalent to 3.67 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2). Thus, according to current projections, the molten amount of melting of the ever-frozen soil layer would be equal to the greenhouse gas emissions from humanity for about 8 years at the current rate. The problem with current forecasts is that they suggest that carbon sequestration in the Arctic will be gradual. In many places, however, defrosting will be quick and dramatic. "Forests can become lakes in just a month, landslides can occur without any warning. In the ground, holes filled with methane can be opened, swallowing whole snowmobiles, ”warns Merit Turetsky. In fact, if greenhouse gas emissions from human activity continue to increase as they have for the next 50 years, probably up to 70% of the ever-frozen soils will thaw, completely changing the climate of the Earth.

  14. DJMax Respect is a rhythm game developed by Rocky Studio and Neowiz MUCA and published by Neowiz Games. It was released on PlayStation 4 in 2017 and on Microsoft Windows in 2020. In Japan, the game was published by Arc System Works. This is a reboot and the latest installment of the DJMax rhythm series Premiere Date: July 28, 2017 Series: DJMax Modes: Single player game, Multiplayer game Publishers: Neowiz Games, Neowiz Programmers: Neowiz Games, Neowiz, Neowiz MUCA, Rocky Studio Platforms: PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (64bit) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0GHz Memory: 4 GB memory Graphics Card: Nvidia® GTX 460 or AMD HD 5850 or better DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage space: 20 GB available space RECOMMENDED: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 (64bit) DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Rhythm games come and go in po[CENSORED]rity, but they never die. Long before Konami were a shell of themselves, they were considered the undisputed king of the music gaming genre. Their Beatmania series never really took off outside of Japan, but it did provide the inspiration for another successful franchise – DJMax. The series began as a PC game accessible exclusively in Korea, China and Japan but when it made the move to PlayStation Portable the game truly made its worldwide debut. Although North American and European gamers weren’t given access to all the releases that followed, many simply opted to import them. After all, rhythm titles are known for being easy to pick up and play regardless of your knowledge of another region’s language. DJMax made another Western appearance with DJMax Technika, but that’s a touch screen focused version which is quite different from its origins. Fans and newcomers alike are now being treated to the ultimate version of DJMax with DJMax Respect on PS4. It’s a shame it only took over ten years for this game to become a reality. This experience brings together the whole series by offering up over 140 songs in the base package. This means the entire soundtracks of DJMax Portable and DJMax Portable 2 have been reprised here. Of course, there are forty brand new songs exclusive to DJMax Respect. The amount of songs included is enough to make any fan drool, but if anyone needs even more tracks (which of course they will), then DLC is on the way. These DLC packs, set to be released in all regions, are going to add in the soundtracks of DJMax Portable Clazziquai Edition, DJMax Portable Black Square, all the Technika games and so much more. Suffice it to say that folks won’t be left wanting more music after all this content drops. The music ranges in genre from classical to K-pop, jazz to dubstep, and everything in between. Some of the original PSP tracks sound a bit corny these days, but they’re still enjoyable to listen to. One of the surprisingly neat aspects of DJMax Respect is that all the background videos were given the HD treatment. Aside from playing Technika tracks at the arcade, it’s a new experience to see these visuals at 1080p and running at 60 FPS. The only annoyance about these videos is that it’ll take a few hours before you can even watch them. During installation the game is playable but no songs will feature their respective videos until it’s finally complete on PS4 (which takes a couple hours). Fortunately, this is only an issue players will have to go through once. Gameplay follow a very similar formula found in most other rhythm games. A number of notes fall from the top of the screen to the bottom. As they reach a specific point, the player must hit the corresponding note on their controller to be successful. Unlike most other games of the genre, however, even the easiest tracks are still a little challenging. Players brand new to the world of DJMax may find themselves failing out of every single song initially! After a bit of practice they’ll be able to play through a larger chunk of the four button mode tracks. Amazingly, this is only the start. The best players work themselves up to increasing button modes until they’ve mastered eight button mode and aced each song on its hardest difficulty. DJMax Respect offers a handful of modes to keep folks entertained. Arcade mode tasks players with completing three songs in a row without failing. Freestyle mode is best for two local players to hop in and compete for dominance. An included Mission mode forces players to complete a certain set of tasks, such as attaining a specified max combo amount. Finally, there’s an Online mode which is accessible to anyone with PlayStation Plus. If desired, there’s also a Ranking mode where professionals can go to challenge other highly skilled players online. The community of online players might not be massive, but it is incredibly devoted. At the start, there are only about forty songs unlocked in DJMax Respect. Attaining more is simple: keep playing music! These unlocks are tied to the achievement system as well. For example, get an “A” on ten songs and something will unlock. Or achieve a certain combo amount collectively to unlock something else. Although some of these achievements pertain to tough things like completing songs in 8B mode, as stated earlier, all are also unlockable by simply playing enough tracks. Things are always being unlocked so it never feels like you’re stuck, either. Aside from song unlocks there are also different bits of gear to change up your screen. For example, the note graphics can be changed to cats if you want to make the screen a bit cuter. Anyone who played DJMax in the past probably wishes that this game could have also been available on Vita or even Switch. There’s currently no word of a portable version coming out, but we can always hope. After all, the series has spent most of its life on portable devices so it feels a little weird to be stuck on console. Of course, it’s also exciting to see DJMax Respect on the big screen. Despite being a simple game overall it shines thanks to running on PS4. On handheld, the Respect-exclusive backgrounds and step charts could possibly cause slowdown. Closing Comments: DJMax Respect is an excellent package for rhythm game fans to pick up, regardless of having played the series before or not. It’s absolutely loaded with tracks and a strong difficulty curve, meaning that players are regularly being challenged to do increasingly difficult tracks. 140 songs is more than enough, but there will soon be a cavalcade of DLC for those looking to stockpile even more music. With so much content right out of the gate, rhythm lovers will find themselves coming back to DJMax Respect again and again.
  15. See the secret to the survival of the ancient Siberians during the Ice Age Ancient Siberian hunters survived the Ice Age thanks to heat-resistant vessels that used to cook fish and marrow, UPI reported. An international scientific team analyzes fats separated from some of the oldest pieces of ceramic vessels in the world - 12,000 to 16,000 years old, found at various sites in Russia. The results show that hunters living in Siberia as early as 16,000 years ago used heat-resistant ceramics. With it, they could benefit more from their food. "It is interesting that ceramics appeared during these very cold periods, not during the relatively warm intermediate periods, when there was more game and nuts," said Professor Oliver Craig of York University. According to the lipids found in some of the pieces found along the Amur River, early Siberians used vessels to cook fish, most likely migrating salmon. Studies have shown similar biochemical traces of ceramic fragments in nearby Japanese islands. According to the study, heat-resistant ceramics are not from a single source. The technology has been developed independently from different groups - a parallel process of innovation. The fact that the technology was developed at the same time shows that ceramic vessels have played an important role in the survival of humans in the harsh environment. Not all ancient hunters cooked fish. The lipids in the fragments indicate that some have extracted fat and brain from bones, tendons and ruminant meat. The glacial maximum during the last Ice Age was 26,000 to 20,000 years ago. About 19,000 years ago, temperatures began to rise and ice to melt. This has made inhabitable inhabitable areas in Siberia until then.

  17. Did Ankara not go too far in Syria Turkey faces important issues in Syria. After six Turkish soldiers were killed earlier this week and nine others were injured by gunfire by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Turkish foreign minister has retaliated. A little later, Turkish forces attacked Syrian bases, killing 76 soldiers (earlier figures indicated 35). This, as noted by a number of observers, is the most serious confrontation between Ankara and Assad in recent years and is likely to expand and intensify unless Russia and Turkey take steps to de-escalate. At the moment, however, such a scenario is unlikely, and over the last two days, as Syrian government forces advanced toward the city of Idlib, ignoring the threats made by Turkey, the Turkish army sent tanks, soldiers and military equipment to observation bases in the province of the same name. Idlib province is the main collision area, although there is a front line in Aleppo province as well. In Idlib, however, there are between 50 and 70,000 rebels, not counting the more extreme Caucasian and Turkmen factions based in the mountains around the border with Turkey and the Syrian coast. Much of the Idlib rebels received or received Turkish support, and some of them, especially around the border towns of Al Bab, Afrin and Azaz, were united in the pro-Turkish formation of the Syrian National Army. The formation actively participated in Turkish intervention in northern Syria against PKK units in the area, and fighters from the same group were sent fighters to Libya in support of the Turkish-backed government in Tripoli. In short, northern Syria is an important field of projection for Turkish interests, essential to creating a buffer zone around the troubled Syrian border and, at the same time, a training camp for forces that Ankara can use when needed. Any offensive, attempt to seize territory or a political quake is to the detriment of those interests and Turkey cannot allow it. Russia and Turkey signed an agreement in September 2018, according to which Turkey is addressing the disarmament of troubled militias for Russia and Assad, including the Caucasus in the mountains around Latakia and Turkmen formations, some of which received support from Ankara. Turkey, Iran and Russia also have the right to build bases around the Idlib province under the agreements, with Turkey currently having about 12 such bases, some of which are surrounded by Assad forces. Under the 2018 agreement, Assad will refrain from attacking Idlib, but in reality throughout 2019 there have been high-tide offensives, with the Syrian government's primary goal of regaining control of the important M4 and M5 highways. It is these highways that are leading the worst battles at the moment, causing the displacement of nearly one million people. These people are currently flocking to Syria's border with Turkey, with no other asylum options. In the end, Russia stepped up its pressure and allowed the Assad regime to launch an offensive to Idlib, home to nearly 4 million people displaced from other parts of Syria. Assad's forces conquered strategic areas, literally turning cities such as Maarat an Numan (about 100,000 before the offensive) into ghostly ones. Assad's battles in Idlib also involved Iranian forces, most notably the pro-Iranian Fatemiun militias, made up of Iranians and Afghans. In the fighting, rebels killed several commanders of these militias, and in the province of Aleppo killed four Russian Special Forces officers who assisted Assad's forces. Turkey, which thought it could stop the offensive and refugee wave by diplomatic means, appears to be losing control of diplomatic and military moves. In an unprecedented statement since 2016, when the two countries "mended" their relationship as a result of a Russian fighter jet that entered its airspace, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said, "Russia says it is fighting terrorists. Who are these terrorists? These are civilians trying to protect their homes. "Erdogan accused Russia of failing to comply with the Astana and Sochi agreements, which guarantee Assad not launching an offensive with Russian backing. Erdogan also deployed an ultimatum to Assad to regain his strength beyond the control areas around Turkish bases in Idlib.
