The Nvidia Shield TV is one of the best Android TV (and Android) devices in general, owing to its beefy GPU and steady stream of meaningful updates over the years. Fortunately, it seems like Nvidia has a new device up its sleeve. According to XDA-Developers, a new Nvidia Shield TV codenamed “mdarcy” has surfaced on the Google Play Developer Console’s Device Catalog. The listing shows that it largely has the same specs as the 2017 Nvidia Shield TV (codenamed “darcy”), so that means 3GB of RAM and the Tegra X1 chipset. One noteworthy tweak however is the presence of Android Pie, which would be a pretty solid upgrade over Oreo. Android TV based on Pie brings more relaxed system requirements, and a streamlined setup process if you have a smartphone. Other noteworthy Pie upgrades include autofill support, automatic app installs via the Play Store, and a streamlined settings menu. According to XDA, the new Shield TV box might be running a tweaked version of the Tegra X1 chipset. It’s unclear exactly how this processor would be changed, but Nvidia could use a smaller manufacturing process which reduces heat and improves sustained performance. A smaller manufacturing process also opens the door for higher clock speeds, so this could also be an option if Nvidia is indeed shrinking the Tegra X1. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen evidence of new Nvidia hardware in 2019, as a ROM developer previously found references to a new controller and remote earlier this year. The company didn’t confirm or deny that it was working on these peripherals at the time, but we’d expect the accessories to be paired with the new Shield TV.

PS5 (or PlayStation 5) is the next-generation PlayStation, releasing in late 2020, after a long and incredible decade that saw Sony emerge as the clear winner in the home console wars in the eyes of many (sorry Xbox). So what do we know about the PS5 so far? The hysteria started in early 2019, when Mark Cerny, the chief architect on Sony's next console, confirmed that the company was working on the successor to the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. We wouldn't get the official name or release date until much later, but Cerny did shed some light on the next-gen console's capabilities, revealing that it would retain a disc drive, and would have something to do with Sony's game streaming ambitions; other than that there was little else to go on. Since then, Sony has been feeding us juicy tidbits such as an official PS5 release window, logo, name and a few key details about features. According to Sony, the PS5 still has big surprises to come – but it won't be revealing them at E3 2020, as the company has confirmed it won't be attending this year, again. That's not to say we won't see the PS5 anytime soon - the official PS5 website is now live, further fueling rumors that Sony is planning a PS5 reveal event in the near future, although this hasn't been confirmed. In addition, we've had some surprising leaks, in the form of a Sony-registered patent that seems to show off the PS5's general shape, button inputs, and cooling vents – this was confirmed to be the PS5 dev kit in a leaked photo. However, we expect the end product design will be different for the PlayStation 5's official launch later in the year. Sony can only keep the finer details of the next-generation PlayStation a secret for so much longer – especially with Microsoft having officially unveiled the Xbox Series X. But between the rumored specs, likely next-gen titles, and official features we are aware of, there's plenty to keep us busy for now. Sony has officially confirmed that the PS5 will release "in time for Holiday 2020" in the US, so likely some time between October and December 2020. A leak has suggested that the release date will be November 20, 2020 but that's yet to be confirmed – but it's in the right window, and it would leave time before Christmas to get those orders in. This would put the PlayStation 5 in direct competition with Microsoft's Xbox Series X (formerly Xbox Project Scarlett), which is releasing during the same period. Game on. However, there have been rumors that the coronavirus will delay the release date. But we don't think that's likely. We're expecting to find out the PlayStation 5's release date when the next-gen console is officially revealed. Hopefully we won't be waiting long, as a launch event seems imminent.

Megalodon (Carcharocles megalodon), meaning "big tooth", is an extinct species of shark that lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago (mya), during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene. It was formerly thought to be a member of the family Lamnidae, and a close relative of the great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias). However, presently there is near unanimous consensus that it belongs to the extinct family Otodontidae, which diverged from the ancestry of the great white shark during the Early Cretaceous. Its genus placement is still debated, authors placing it in either Carcharocles, Megaselachus, Otodus, or Procarcharodon. This is because transitional fossils have been found showing that Megalodon is the final chronospecies of a lineage of giant sharks originally of the genus Otodus which evolved during the Paleocene. While regarded as one of the largest and most powerful predators to have ever lived, megalodon is known from fragmentary remains and its appearance and maximum size are uncertain. Scientists differ on whether it would have more closely resembled a stockier version of the great white shark, the basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus) or the sand tiger shark (Carcharias taurus). Most estimates of megalodon's size extrapolate from teeth; with maximum length estimates up to 18 meters (59 ft) and average length estimates of 10.5 meters (34 ft). Estimates suggest their large jaws could exert a bite force of up to 110,000 to 180,000 newtons (25,000 to 40,000 lbf).[7] Their teeth were thick and robust, built for grabbing prey and breaking bone. Megalodon probably had a major impact on the structure of marine communities. The fossil record indicates that it had a cosmopolitan distribution. It probably targeted large prey, such as whales, seals, and sea turtles. Juveniles inhabited warm coastal waters and fed on fish and small whales. Unlike the great white, which attacks prey from the soft underside, megalodon probably used its strong jaws to break through the chest cavity and puncture the heart and lungs of its prey. The animal faced competition from whale-eating cetaceans, such as Livyatan and other macroraptorial sperm whales, and possibly smaller ancestral killer whales. As the shark preferred warmer waters, it is thought that oceanic cooling associated with the onset of the ice ages, coupled with the lowering of sea levels and resulting loss of suitable nursery areas, may have also contributed to its decline. A reduction in the diversity of baleen whales and a shift in their distribution toward polar regions may have reduced megalodon's primary food source. More recently, evidence has come forward that competition from the modern great white shark may have also contributed to the extinction of megalodon, coupled with range fragmentation resulting in a gradual, asynchronous extinction as a result of cooling oceans around 3.6-4 million years ago, far earlier than previously assumed.[8] The extinction of the shark appeared to affect other animals; for example, the size of baleen whales increased significantly after the shark had disappeared.

A short distance from the modern Romanian city of Cluj Napoca exists what many believe to be the world’s most haunted forest. Known as Hoia Baciu, this dense forest is surrounded by legends and conceals many secrets. Tales of ghosts, UFO’s, inter-dimensional portals and other unnatural phenomena have made Hoia Baciu Forest one of the most infamous places in Romania. The first scary legend of Hoia Baciu is the one which gave the forest its name. Many years ago it is said that a local shepherd entered the forest with around 200 sheep. He never returned nor was heard from again. Though some locals searched for him, they were unsuccessful. The shepherd and his sheep had disappeared without a trace. This story left many with animosity towards the forest and a fear of entering it. Many more similar stories followed that of the shepherd and solidified fear of the forest within the local community. One of the more famous stories recounts the tale of a young, five-year-old girl. She is said to have wandered off into the forest and disappeared without a trace. Strangely, five years later she wandered out from the forest in a confused daze. She was still dressed in the same clothing she had worn the day she went missing and had no recollection of where she had been or what had happened to her. The little girl’s story remains a mystery, as do the countless others who have similar stories. Many believe that Hoia Baciu Forest contains some sort of portal to another dimension. Explaining the disappearances of so many and earning it the nickname of The Bermuda Triangle of Romania. In addition to the many legends surrounding Hoia Baciu, a number of ghost stories exist. Some people claim to have encountered spirits within the haunted forest. Others believe that these ghosts are likely the spirits of murdered Romanian peasants that perished in the surrounding area. These unfortunate souls are said to be trapped within the forest to suffer an eternal fate. Human-shaped shadow figures are commonly reported within the forest as well as large masses of suddenly forming black mist. Apparitions have also been seen and some have even claimed to capture figures and faces in photographs that weren’t visible to the human eye at the time fo shooting. In addition to these sightings, there have been many further instances of paranormal activity reported. Malfunctioning of electronic devices and suddenly draining batteries are common. Some believe this could be due to the presence of spirits. There have also been orbs sighted, light anomalies, strange fluctuations in the magnetic field recorded, poltergeist activity and EVP’s recorded including screaming, giggling, growls and voices. During my overnight stay in Hoia Baciu forest, the GPS on both my phone and my husband’s phone would not work making it difficult to navigate. Suddenly occurring negative physiological effects have also been recorded by visitors. Many people claim to be overcome with anxiety upon entering the forest. This can also manifest in illness including nausea, vomiting, headaches, and rashes.Many other people claim to have been attacked within Hoia Baciu Forest by unseen forces. There are reports of being burned, scratched, bitten, pushed and even thrown to come out of the very haunted forest. Adding to the many stories of the unexplained to center on the Hoia Baciu Forest are UFO sightings. These are usually reported by those visiting in the vicinity of the Dead Zone and date back to the 1960s. During the following decades, many UFO sightings were made and some photos were captured. These included flying saucer-like objects, with some photos even being snapped by a military technician. Hoia Baciu is a fascinating place for the many stories told about its mysterious side. Though a place many fear, it also exhibits beauty and intrigue in its own unique way.

It's also been confirmed that Chief Hopper is the American prisoner - putting to bed several theories. In a new teaser trailer, Hopper can be seen working in the snowy field of Kamchatka, with a shaved head. In the video, a sign saying 'Welcome to Hawkins' can be seen in the Upside Down alongside what looks like Hopper's cabin. The words "We're not in Hawkins anymore" flash up on screen. The latest news? Filming for season 4 has started. According to Netflix Life, the crew along with some cast members have begun production in Lithuania. Filming in Atlanta is reportedly set to start in March. Millie Bobby Brown recently confirmed that season 4 filming is set to begin "early this year". According to TV Line, filming will wrap sometime around August with a potential December 2020/January 2021 release date on the cards. A new casting call has got fans speculating about which year Stranger Things 4 will be set in. A 'vintage vehicle' call has specified that car years should be '1987 and older models only.' Does that mean we're jumping forward a year? Or does it mean season 4 end at some point in 1987?
