Microsoft has decided to demonstrate the worth of its flagship Office 365 subscription by pitting it against its flagship Office 2019 product in a bizzaro productivity face-off. Redmond has punted out a series of ads where the Office giant pits twins against each other in a series of tasks aimed at demonstrating that while Office 2019 is frozen in time, Office 365 keeps getting updates. Microsoft Office ✔ @Office Aren’t Office 365 and Office 2019 basically the same? Short answer: nope. We asked 3 sets of twins to put #Office365 to the test. See who won: http://msft.social/o365twins 1,019 11:30 PM - Feb 6, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 406 people are talking about this The twins are tasked with activities designed to show off the tweaks the subscription-based product has had over the months, such as listing US state capitals. Intriguingly, Microsoft did not think to challenge the participants to work out how to switch off data collection. Nor did it suggest a compare-and-contrast on uptime. The twins were also not set the task of working out which would be cheaper over a period of time – the one-off cost of Office 2019 versus the ongoing subs of the 365 incarnation. In the UK, for example, a one-off Office 2019 Home and Student costs £119.99, while a personal version of Office 365 is £59.99 per year. In his post, corporate veep for Microsoft 365 Jared Spataro skipped the prices, instead declaring "Office 365 crushes Office 2019" since the former is continually updated and has had a stroking from the cloudy tickle-stick while the latter is "frozen in time" (although still patched when security issues crop up, we hasten to add). As such, the company took the "unprecedented" step of pitting its own productivity suites against each other.

SoftBank was mostly known for being a telecommunications company in Japan, but after many years of consolidation and acquisitions has become an international giant (read our assessment of the SoftBank Vision Fund here) with subsidiaries such as Arm Holdings and Boston Dynamics, an 85% stake in Sprint Corp and minority stakes in Alibaba Group (NYSE:BABA) and Yahoo! Japan. The SoftBank Vision Fund (SVF) specifically had a total value of $55.3 billion spread over 49 investments, with what was $3.6 billion in NVIDIA. Other companies of note in the investment fund are WeWork, Slack, ARM, and Uber. SoftBank did not disclose whether the fund was either reduced or the money reallocated to other investments; this news will be expected in their Q4 earnings report. We reported yesterday that NVIDIA might have understated cryptocurrency revenue by more than a billion dollars. The fallout of under-reporting the effects of cryptocurrency is that what looked like legitimate and sustainable demand was a temporary boost in profit and now a stockpile of pascal cards that did not sell after demand fell back to normal. Revised guidance for Q4 shows a revenue shortfall of $500 million, with actual earnings expected to be reported February 14th. The combination of cryptocurrency prices falling and RTX cards only addressing the enthusiast market in Q4 have the stock currently trading around $150 as of writing, down from the 52-week high of almost $300 in early October. The good news for NVIDIA stockholders is that the transactions were already completed in January so there won’t be excess supply in the market at once causing the stock to fall further. SVF likely staggered their selling throughout the month to avoid hurting the share price as they were in the process of selling. The bad news is that it shows that a large technology investor is no longer interested in their stock and could signal that they don’t see immediate value from the company. NVIDIA themselves noted that currency fluctuation affected their revenue and softer demand than expected in data center markets would also affect the company. It’s also interesting to note that SoftBank sold off their stake immediately prior to NVIDIA announcing a massive downward revision in their forward guidance for earnings which then subsequently made the stock collapse which is obviously extremely fortuitous timing on their part. With adjusted guidance for Q4 so recently there should not be a lot of surprises left for their earnings report, future guidance and actual sales figures for Turing based cards will likely be the most important aspect for NVIDIA in the near term if they hope to raise their share price and institutional favor. AMD (NASDAQ:AMD 23.05 1.68%) posted an excellent Q4 despite the “crypto hangover”, and their stock price has risen as a result, they are also expected to introduce mid-range cards this year that are expected to compete with the recently released RTX 2060 and rumoured 1660/1660 Ti.

THAT OLD SAW about watching the money turns out to work as well in the wild world of transportation as anywhere else. First up, the robotics veterans behind autonomous vehicle company Aurora just raised a cool $530 million in funding, and check out where it came from: stalwart Silicon Valley venture firm Sequoia Capital and ... Let’s get you caught up.Self-driving supergroup Aurora closed a $530 million Series B funding round. (Turns out building autonomous vehicle technology is expensive!) The round was led by Sequoia, but keep your eye on one new investor, a little company called Amazon. SETH ROLLINS confirmed that The Shield was WWE legend and UFC fighter CM Punk’s idea.Rollins rose to WWE superstardom in 2012 when he formed the unforgettable Shield stable with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Punk previously stated that he came up with the idea of getting three promising stars from NXT and turning them into his henchmen during his heel run as WWE Champion. The six-time world champion wanted to recruit Rollins, Ambrose and Kassius Ohno. However, WWE management were’t keen on Ohno and so they instead replaced him with Reigns.According to Give Me Sport, Rollins told Edge and Christian on E&C's Pod of Awesomeness that it was indeed CM Punk and Joey Mercury who came up with The Shield. The Kingslayer also revealed that WWE were planning on breaking the stable up after TLC 2013 when they lost to Punk in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match. Ambrose was going to turn heel and betray his brothers soon after the Pay-Per-View show. However, the superstar trio convinced management to keep them together for a little while longer and so they went on to feud with Bray Wyatt, Harper and Rowan of The Wyatt FamilyThey also beat Kane as well as The New Age Outlaws at WrestleMania 30 and then picked up some stunning victories over Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton of Evolution. They ultimately split in 2014 when Rollins turned on his brothers and joined Triple H as well as The Authority. The Shield helped The Architect become one of WWE’s elite as he is a two-time world champion. He has also beaten some of the all-time best like Triple H, John Cena, Sting and many more. The 32-year-old grappler will get the chance to win some more silverware soon after winning the Men’s Royal Rumble Match last month. Rollins will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35 on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.

The game cleverly uses scarcity of opportunity to force you into difficult dilemmas. At any one time you might have only six possible scan sites, while combat encounters are largely meted out by the game, but what you choose to do with this narrow range of options matters enormously. You need to recruit new rookies; you need an engineer to build a comms facility that will let you contact more territories; you need alien alloys to upgrade your weapons. You can’t have all of these. You can probably only have one. In 1989 Sid Meier described games as "a series of interesting decisions." XCOM 2 is the purest expression of that ethos that Firaxis has yet produced. The War of the Chosen expansion brings even more welcome if frantic changes, like the endlessly chatty titular enemies, memorable nemeses who pop up at different intervals during the campaign with random strengths and weaknesses. There are also new Advent troopers to contend with, tons more cosmetic options, zombie-like enemies who po[CENSORED]te lost human cities, the ability to create propaganda posters and lots more. War of the Chosen does make each campaign a little bloated, but the changes are so meaningful and extensive that XCOM 2 players need to check it out regardless.

When people say the word ‘simulator,’ Microsoft’s imperious and encyclopaedic aviation behemoth is the first game that springs to mind. It’s inevitable – like picturing a Christian Bale in a clear raincoat flecked with blood whenever you hear Huey Lewis and the News. It’s rare for a sim to be so all-encompassing that it can provide both light entertainment to the curious casual gamer who wants to fly fighter jets under bridges with a gamepad, and valuable education to a budding pilot ensconced in a home-made cockpit – but such is FSX’s scope. In a recurring theme throughout this feature, mod support plays a huge role in its prolonged lifespan. At this point, all FSX’s best planes and environment maps come from third parties, which means to get the most out of it you’ll need to invest a fair few hours gathering .zips of high-res textures before you fly.

There's nowhere like the Unterzee. Sunless Sea's foreboding underground ocean is an abyss full of horrors and threats to the sanity of the crews that sail upon it. In your vulnerable little steamboat, you have to navigate these waters, trading, fighting and going on bizarre adventures on islands filled with giant mushrooms or rodents engaged in a civil war. It's often strikingly pretty, but text drives Sunless Sea. Like Failbetter Games' browser-based Fallen London, it's drenched in beautifully written quests, dialogue and descriptions. And it's not restricted to gothic horror, though there's plenty of it. Your journey across the black waters is just as likely to be whimsical and silly. Always, though, there's something sinister lurking nearby. Something not quite right.

Why should you buy this? It’s the best version of the most po[CENSORED]r console and has the highest number of high-fidelity games. Sony PlayStation 4 Pro The PS4 Pro is the best version of the PlayStation 4. $400 FROM AMAZON Who’s it for? Everyone. How much will it cost? $400 Why we picked the PlayStation 4 Pro: The PlayStation 4 Pro is the best version of the most po[CENSORED]r game platform available today. With 4K, HDR 10 compatibility, and the PlayStation 4’s exclusive game library, it is currently the best plug-and-play gaming platform. A very large majority of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One libraries are available on both platforms. Though both platforms have po[CENSORED]r exclusive franchises, the PlayStation 4 (Pro or standard) sees more exclusive games each year. The PS4 also has access to a small number of less well-known indie games and niche titles, such as Japanese role-playing games, that the Xbox One does not. That’s the main reason for our pick. The PS4 has the best games, and the PS4 Pro makes them look as stunning as possible. The Xbox One X is technically even more powerful — but it lacks must-have exclusives. There’s just not as much to play. Picking PlayStation 4 also opens the door for you to pick up PlayStation VR, which, as we’ve noted, is the most affordable premium VR headset available. Microsoft, meanwhile, has confirmed that VR support is not coming to the Xbox One X. While it can be difficult to take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s advanced features, namely HDR support, the improvements it provides to even unoptimized games make it the most technically impressive way to play the largest number of games on a console. Most major games offer some form of support for the system, whether it be improved framerate, 4K resolution, HDR support, or all three.

Is it that time of year again already? Seems like only yesterday we were recognizing the top games of 2017, but time sure flies when you’re having fun! And if you didn’t have fun playing the whopping 137(!) new adventures that came out in the last calendar year, you’re doing it wrong! The sheer volume of titles is partly why do this every year. With so many to choose from, how can you be sure you’re not missing out on the cream of the crop? Three words: The Aggie Awards! 2018 Aggie Award Nominees - Image #1Once again, “diversity” was the keyword for adventure games in 2018. Not in the “equal representation” sense, but rather in presenting something for gamers of every stripe. Like a little stealth in your spine-tingling horror? You’re covered. Adept at a little platforming between puzzles? Plenty of games to keep you hopping. Hold the puzzles, extra dose of story? Lots of those to go around. Narrative schmarrative, just make my brain hurt? Some of those here too. And yes, there’s even a few – gasp! – good old fashioned point-and-clickers for the diehards among us (you know who you are). The flipside to all that variety is that it’s even harder to pare down the best of the lot. Comparing apples to oranges is actually easier than comparing a co-op multiplayer puzzler to a VR adventure using echolocation, or side-scrolling anime to a “documentary” adventure about a real-life disaster. But choose we must, so argue we did – for the first time ever bringing our generous Patreon contributors into the mix for their input – and have at last made the first painful cuts down to five finalists for each category. Think we’re out to lunch (even more than usual) or managed to get it right for once? Rest assured, you too will have your chance to vote when the readers’ choice poll arrives in just a few days. Remember, of course, that like the games themselves, the Aggies are all for FUN, to celebrate the best and brightest the genre has to offer. There are no losers, only extra acclaim for a job well done. So if you’re not having fun with the process already… you’re doing it wrong! And now, without further ado, our Aggie Award nominee finalists for 2018! This year we have a special treat, as the very talented Ivy Dupler (Lamplight City, Unavowed) plays host to our first ever video presentation! If you can't stand the suspense, simply scroll down to see the written list as well, complete with links to check out the games for yourself. Tune back in February 20-22 for our three-day presentation to find out who won! Best Story One of the core components of any adventure, the game’s narrative must engage the player’s interest and imagination. Entertaining in its own right, a good story also immerses the player in a believable game world and serves as motivation to overcome the challenges presented. While often accompanied by quality writing, the plot is a distinct feature that may or may not be ably supported by the actual dialogue – if in fact it has dialogue at all. 11-11: Memories Retold Detective Pikachu Forgotton Anne Unavowed Unforeseen Incidents (Note: As an adapted work, Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth is ineligible.) Best Writing – Comedy Arguably the hardest genre to write well, comedy done right has the ability both to amuse and uplift, finding humour in the ordinary and laughter in the unexpected. Often dismissed for not being “serious writing” (oh, the irony!), comedy has long been a beloved adventure staple and deserves appropriate recognition. Detective Case and Clown Bot in The Express Killer Detective Gallo Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry Snail Trek Best Writing – Drama If comedy lifts the soul, then drama explores and challenges it. Though sometimes misrepresented as dry and boring or overly theatrical, a gripping drama simply engages players on a deeper emotional level. Quality writing is essential in maintaining the player’s connection to the characters, game world, and the story unfolding. 11-11: Memories Retold Eselmir and the five magical gifts Lamplight City The Pillars of the Earth Unavowed Best Character Gabriel Knight... April Ryan... Guybrush Threepwood. These names roll off the tongue of any adventure gamer as a testament to the importance of compelling protagonists in an adventure. But just as important are the villains, sidekicks, and significant supporting characters, which are often the juiciest parts. This category recognizes those who have made the most memorable contribution, regardless of role. Chuchel (CHUCHEL) Detective Gallo (Detective Gallo) Anne (Forgotton Anne) Nairi (NAIRI: Tower of Shirin) Eli (Unavowed) Logan (Unavowed) Best Gameplay Puzzles are an integral aspect of adventure gameplay, but not the only one. Good pacing, rich exploration, and variety of activities are all factors in player enjoyment as well, all suitably integrated into the storyline. The best games seek the right balance of these elements for the most rewarding gameplay experience, whatever the approach. Beyond the Sky FAR: Lone Sails The Gardens Between Return of the Obra Dinn Unavowed Best Concept A somewhat ambiguous category meant to highlight any unusual, distinctive element. A creative concept can run the gamut from unique story premise to clever game mechanics, from stylistic choice to technical innovation. For the purpose of this award, it doesn’t even need to have been successfully implemented, as it’s the idea itself that deserves the acknowledgement in a genre renowned for its conservative approach. (Note: VR is a shared evolution among many new adventures, so that alone does not constitute an individual game concept.) Call of Cthulhu The Council The Gardens Between Return of the Obra Dinn STAY Best Setting Adventures can transport us to memorable places we’ve never been before, including those we never even imagined. Or perhaps to locales inspired by real-world locations, but never quite like this, making them feel fresh and new and awe-inspiring all over again. In these games, the setting is like an integral character of its own, inseparable from the story taking place within its borders. AntVentor FAR: Lone Sails The Gardens Between Lamplight City My Memory of Us Best Graphic Design If a picture is worth a thousand words, this category speaks volumes. Regardless of style, this award recognizes games that are not only visually attractive but stylistically distinctive. One look at a screenshot should elicit not only jaw-dropping admiration, but intuitive recognition of the game to which it belongs. This award includes both game world and character design, but not cinematics. Detroit: Become Human My Brother Rabbit Repentant Unavowed Unforeseen Incidents Best Animation From “bustling” city streets that look deserted to clouds that never move, animation is rarely the genre’s strong suit, often the victim of budget constraints. But richly animated adventures add so much to player immersion that any game that goes the extra mile in this area is deserving of appreciation. This category includes in-game character and ambient animations, plus cinematic cutscenes. CHUCHEL Detroit: Become Human Forgotton Anne The Gardens Between Illusion: A Tale of the Mind Best Music As a complementary element playing in the background, often a game’s music is noticeable only when it becomes intrusive, but a strong score and attention to timing can add so much to the ambience. Dramatic escalations can heighten tension at just the right moments, while a catchy theme song can make a soundtrack truly memorable, and an in-game number even more so. Whatever its particular strengths, the game that excels musically deserves its accolades, even if its impact is subtle. Forgotton Anne My Memory of Us The Pillars of the Earth Return of the Obra Dinn Unavowed Best Acting (Voice or Live Action) Often under-valued by publishers but never by gamers, good acting can enhance a player’s investment in characters as surely as poor acting can ruin it. With so much international localization, voice-overs can be difficult to skillfully oversee, but any game benefits greatly from proper direction and believable acting. Live acting, meanwhile, adds an entirely new realistic dynamic, but the added realism makes it that much harder to pull off successfully. This category refers to the overall quality of performances in a game, not to individual characters. Detective Gallo Detroit: Become Human The Pillars of the Earth Unavowed Unforeseen Incidents Best Sound Effects As with animation, sound effects are frequently given short shrift in adventures, but effective use of audio adds a vital layer of moody ambience. You may not be able to put your finger on the reason, but some games make you feel like you’re really there, and often the atmospheric sounds have drawn you in subconsciously. CHUCHEL Detroit: Become Human My Brother Rabbit Return of the Obra Dinn Shrug Island: The Meeting The Silver Aggies Okay, we're not really naming names just yet. What we can tell you is that, of the many titles that aren't winning a golden Aggie statuette, either because they just fell short or were never actually eligible, a handful of other great games won't be going home empty-handed. With categories like Best Side-Scrollers, Best Comebacks, and Best Kept Secrets, to name just a few, there are plenty more surprises in store! Best Non-Traditional Adventure For a genre that’s remained largely unchanged for decades, it’s actually got a rich history of experimental titles that push the creative envelope in unique, memorable ways. They don’t “evolve” or “redefine” adventures, but rather expand our understanding of what an adventure can be with their bold vision. Purists may resist, but this award honours those games that stretch beyond traditional genre conventions to offer something completely new, or at least present the familiar in imaginative new ways. Detroit: Become Human FAR: Lone Sails Forgotton Anne The Gardens Between Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption Return of the Obra Dinn Best Traditional Adventure Why mess with a good thing? While innovative adventures provide a welcome breath of fresh air, the lifeblood of the genre continues to be the many games that closely adhere to the comfortable, tried-and-true design formulas. Full of inventory and/or logic puzzles, memorable character dialogue, epic storylines and immersive exploration, they may not have changed much since Monkey Island and Myst – or even the original Zork for some – but they’re no less enjoyable when done well. CHUCHEL Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry The Pillars of the Earth Unavowed Unforeseen Incidents Best Adventure of 2018

Whether you're an in-market car shopper, an auto enthusiast or just someone who wants to get outta this bipolar winter weather, for the next 10 days, Chicago is your kinda town. The 2019 Chicago Auto Show opens to the public on Saturday and runs through Feb. 17, and as usual, the self-styled "nation's largest auto show" uses its million-square-foot-plus exhibit space to maximum effect, offering consumers a comprehensive collection of pretty much every major new-model debut from the 2018-19 auto-show season — plus a bunch of cool new stuff to boot. Cars.com's team of automotive journalists was on the scene covering all the action live. As the Chicago Auto Show goes, so goes the nation — or maybe it's the other way around, but as the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. are consistently pickup trucks, the Windy City motor show offers pickups aplenty. Debuting in Chicago are the 2020 Toyota Tacoma (the best-selling mid-size truck on the market), the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty and the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks. Spoiler alert: The Chevys won Cars.com's Best in Show award for the Chi show, so be sure to check those out.Another must-see debut is the 2020 Subaru Legacy. As SUVs supplant cars on the sales charts, it feels like a bold move anytime a new sedan bows at an auto show. Subaru's sedan returns refreshed and ready to keep cars alive, armed with a new near-premium interior, an optional 11.6-inch multimedia screen and an updated turbocharged powertrain option. Other refreshed models bowing at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show include the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI and the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. Special versions of existing models are also plentiful here. Anniversary editions of the Mazda MX-5 Miata, Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Caravan mark 30- and 35-year milestones, respectively. Toyota brought along off-road-ready TRD editions of its RAV4 and Sequoia SUVs. New options and packages are yet another theme, with the Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Edition luxury sports coupe, the 2019 Lexus NX Black Line SUV, the 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger muscle cars in Sublime Green, the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition SUV and the all-new Sport Package for the 2019 Cadillac XT5.Planning on heading to the show but afraid you'll be overwhelmed once you get here? Sort out your priorities with our comprehensive coverage before you even leave the house. Here's everything you might've missed of our coverage of the 2019 Chicago Auto Show:v

While Microsoft was upending the scorn bucket on its own productivity tools, The Document Foundation shoved out an update of LibreOffice, replete with user interface tweaks and improved Office compatibility. Originally forked from OpenOffice back in 2010, LibreOffice comprises a word processor in the form of "Writer", a spreadsheet in "Calc" and "Impress" for PowerPoint-esque presentations. It also includes tools for vector drawing, database and formula editing. The new version 6.2 is the first release in 2019. 6.0 appeared just over a year ago and 6.1 turned up in August. It remains free and can be downloaded in Windows, Linux and Mac flavours. We took a look at the Windows 10 version, the installation of which proved a little problematic. The installer inexplicably wanted to close down Word and Excel before it would do anything (the paranoid would suggest that LibreOffice was seeking to stamp out the competition while the more pragmatic would suspect some interdependencies) and insisted on a reboot before the suite would deign to fire itself up. Well, it is trying to make Microsoft users feel at home after all. So what's an odd forced restart between friends? User in yer face Once in, the first thing to grab the attention, when activated, is the new NotebookBar. While not to everyone's taste, the grouping of functions works well although switching back to the classic toolbar view required a little more faffing once the Menubar is turned off. However, this is the first iteration of the tabbed approach, so it can be cut some slack. It also makes for a more familiar working environment for users looking around for an Office suite to replace Office 2019 (after all, Microsoft has pointed out the thing is, er, "frozen in time"). The developers confirmed that the new tabbed toolbar is optional – something the Office crew could have considered back in the day when Microsoft's productivity suite was wrapped in Ribbons. The team has also tidied up the context menus to make things more consistent over components. However, the UI still feels a little last-decade and can be a bit jarring in places. Options don't always show up as checked once selected, and customisations are available in some places but not others. Still, the browser-based Help system has been improved for those needing a bit of hand-holding, with faster indexing of keywords, highlighting the search term as the user types. Changes to the components OOXML and EMF support has been tweaked, especially for charts and animations, and the suite accepted all the files we threw at it (although your mileage will, of course, vary). For the word processor, Writer, the most notable change is the welcome ability to copy spreadsheet data directly into tables rather than the thing turning up as an object, or needing to be fiddled around with as plain text. Calc has seen many improvements, with custom formulas making an appearance in Data Validation and a new REGEX function to match text against a regular expression and optionally do some text replacement. Everyone loves a bit of REGEX torture. Statistics boffins will welcome multivariate regression analysis using the regression tool, with a load more statistical measures in the analysis output. Those keen to inflict interminable animated presentations on the world will be pleased to find the motion path of animations can be changed by dragging its control points in the Impress component of the suite. Impress has also seen improvements to ensure it conforms to ODF specifications. The database component, Base, has had the MySQL C++ connector extension dropped and replaced with a LGPL licensed MariaDB connect. Overall the new version has the appearance of a major release, thanks to the UI changes. However, aside from the notable updates above, it won't alarm users with a tsunami of fiddled-with features. Which is as it should be. There is one bit of bad news, however. Still clinging on to your 32-bit Linux installation? The team warns that after this version there will be no more Linux x86 builds. That isn't to say Linux x86 compatibility is on the way out, but we imagine you're going to have roll your own version instead of picking up a handy download.

AMD recently launched its second generation Vega based Radeon VII graphics card that utilizes the brand new 7nm process and aims the high-end enthusiast market. Now the card delivers upon the promise of competing against NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card but at the end of the day, AMD’s Radeon VII feels more like a technology showcase, given its limited quantities and high price which were seen at launch. There’s also the fact that Radeon VII still utilizes the Vega architecture with little enhancements so eyes are on Navi, AMD’s next greatest leap in their Radeon roadmap.AMD Navi GPUs have been talked as the next big thing coming out from RTG and is likely the last GPU generation to feature GCN architecture as its DNA. With Navi, AMD is going to focus on brand new design changes to the architecture that would help boost its efficiency and performance. For comparison, Radeon VII utilizes the 7nm architecture but it is essentially a die shrunk of an existing architecture. The Navi GPUs will be designed around 7nm from the start and that would definitely help AMD take full advantage of the 7nm process node. But while 7nm Navi GPUs based Radeon RX graphics cards sound great, it looks like they would be delayed to Q4 2019. In a report published by Cowcotland, their sources suggest that Navi GPUs will be available in October of 2019 and not Summer of 2019 as originally planned. The reason behind this change is not mentioned but it may be attributed to the 7nm supply as the Radeon VII, a high-end chip is already available in lower quantities than expected and is out of stock almost globally. Another reason could be that the Navi GPUs are also allegedly going to be featured in next-gen consoles and AMD would want to dedicate a good chunk of supply for those before they ship the chips out to AIBs for production of desktop-based Radeon RX graphics cards.Previously in interviews, AMD’s CEO, Lisa Su, and AMD’s CTO, Mark Papermaster, both had confirmed a refresh of sorts across their Radeon program. “We are really excited to start on the high end with our 7nm Radeon VII […] and you will see the announcements over the course of the year as we refresh across our Radeon program.” “What we do over the course of the year is what we do every year. We’ll round out the whole roadmap,” — Mark Papermaster (via The Street) “We believe, we will be very competitive overall and that includes the high-end of the GPU market. Obviously there are new products out there from our competition. We will have our set of new products as well and we will be right there in the mix” “As it relates to ray tracing in particular I think it’s an important technology, but as with all important technologies it takes time to really have the ecosystem adopt [it]. And we’re working very closely with the ecosystem on both hardware and software solutions and expect that ray tracing will be an important element especially as it gets more into the mainstream, frankly, of the market.” — AMD CEO Lisa Su – Nov 27, 2018 – 22nd Annual Credit Suisse Technology, Media & Telecom Conference The source further mentions that previous rumors and price points of various Radeon RX cards based on Navi GPUs look far from reality based on Radeon VII’s performance and price proposition as seen in multiple reviews. It looks like while AMD started their 7nm lineup with the high-end card the latter would be multiple mainstream and performance focused options that may arrive under the $500 US price range. All in all, these would offer users a proper upgrade over the Radeon RX 590 which is the third iteration of the Polaris architecture or the Radeon Vega 56 which although comes in at a decent $349-$399 US price range at the moment, is still based on the first gen Vega architecture and the update with 7nm Navi at a similar price point with improved performance and efficiency can be pretty good.

Reigns took extended leave from WWE and vacated the Universal Championship last October after being diagnosed with leukaemia. The Big Dog shocked the WWE Universe when he revealed that he first battled the horrible disease 11 years ago and after quickly putting it in remission the cancer unfortunately returned. But the four-time world champion is not letting the illness get in his way as he remains very active outside of the squared circle. WWE have been trying to turn the ex-Intercontinental Champion into the face of the company after Cena. The 33-year-old grappler defeated Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship last year at SummerSlam and was set to defend the belt at WWE Crown Jewel before the diagnosis. The former US Champion, however, is convinced he can beat leukaemia again and will come back better and stronger than ever. Reigns said: “The reality is my real name is Joe [Anoa’i] and I'd been living with leukaemia for 11 years... And unfortunately it's back. "And because the leukaemia is back, I cannot fulfil my role. I can't be that fighting champion and I'm going to have to relinquish the Universal Championship. "I'm not going to lie, I'll take every prayer you can send my way but I'm not looking for sympathy. "I'm not looking for you to feel bad for me because I have faith. "When I was 22 years old I was diagnosed with this and very quickly I was able to put it in remission. But I'm not going to lie, that was the hardest time of my life. "I didn't have a job, I didn't have any money, I didn't have a home and I had a baby on the way. And football was done with me. But do you know who gave me a chance? The team that gave me a chance was the WWE. "After I'm done whooping leukaemia's a** once again, I'm coming back home. "I want to show my family, my friends, my children and my wife that when life throws a curveball at me, I am the type of man that will stand in that batter’s box, I will crowd the plate, I will choke up and I will swing for the fences every single time!”
