Pooled Chia farming has finally arrived, but with diminishing returns, it's too little, too late. The Chia cryptocurrency started making waves in the storage industry in the early days, but diminishing returns and the lack of pooled farming were serious drawbacks. Now, arguably three months too late, pooling has finally arrived. We've overhauled our guide for how to get started, as well as our hardware recommendations. Spoiler alert: You probably shouldn't buy anything. When Chia trading went live, it looked like the hot new commodity, but things have changed quite a bit in the past few months. The total netspace for Chia rapidly expanded from less than 1 exabyte when trading went live, and it now sits at over 32 EiB. The rapid scaling of May and June is now behind us, though pooling may cause a resurgence. At least now it's possible to get something from Chia, even if you only have a few tens of terabytes, but with Chia well on its way to triple-digit EiB levels, don't expect much. In fact, BackBlaze went so far as to say Chia didn't make sense, even with the 'free' 150PB of untapped storage the company currently has. But don't let that stop you! If you're looking to join the latest crypto-bandwagon, here's how to get started farming Chia coin, with the latest updates now in place. That means using the MadMax plotter to cut down on plotting times, along with how to get started with a chia Pool. Chia Farming and Mining Basics If you've dabbled in other cryptocurrencies before, Chia is a very different beast. Some of the fundamental blockchain concepts aren't radically different from what's gone before, but Chia coin ditches the Proof of Work algorithm for securing the blockchain and instead implements Proof of Space - technically Proof of Time and Space, but the latter appears to be the more pertinent factor. Rather than mining coins by dedicating large amounts of processing power to the task, Chia simply requires storage plots - but these plots need to be filled with the correct data. The analogies with real-world farming are intentional. First, you need to clear a field (ie, delete any files on your storage devices that are taking up space), then you plow and seed the field (compute a plot for Chia), and then… well, you wait for the crops to grow, which can take quite a long time when those crops are Chia blocks. Each Chia plot ends up being sort of like a massive, complex Bingo card. There's lots of math behind it, but that analogy should suffice. Each time a block challenge comes up, the Chia network determines a winner based on various rules. If your plot matches and 'wins' the block, you get the block reward (currently 2 XCH, Chia's coin abbreviation). That block reward is set to decrease every three years for the first 12 years, after which the block reward will be static ad infinitum. The official FAQ lists the reward rate as 64 XCH per 10 minutes, and it will get cut in half every three years until it's at 4 XCH per 10 minutes with a block reward of 0.125 XCH. Your chances of solving a Chia coin block are basically equal to your portion of the total network space (netspace). Right now, Chia's netspace sits at roughly 32 EiB (Exbibytes - the binary SI unit), so 1 EiB equals 2 ^ 60 bytes, or 1,152,921,504,606,846,976 bytes decimal, and 32 EiB equals 36.9 EB (exabytes, using 10 ^ 18 for the SI decimal units). That means if you dedicate a complete 10TB (10 trillion bytes) of storage to Chia plots, your odds of winning are 0.000027%, or 0.0000000271 if we drop the percentage part. If those sound like terrible odds, they are, but the catch is that there are approximately 4,608 Chia blocks created every day (a rate of 32 blocks per 10 minutes, or 18.75 seconds per block), and any one of them could match your plot . Simple math can then give you the average time to win, though Chia calculators make estimating this far easier than doing the math yourself. A completely full 10TB HDD can store 91 standard Chia blocks (around 101.4 GiB each). But, again, don't get lazy and forget to convert between tebibytes and terabytes, as SI units definitely matter. 91 blocks on a single 10TB HDD works out to maybe winning a block every two years (808 days). Actually, to be precise, it would have a theoretical 0.86% chance to win a block each week, a 3.64% chance to win a block in a month, and a 36.34% chance to win a block in a year. But with netspace continuing to increase, your odds will drop, and you could go years without winning anything - at least if you're solo farming. We've heard from some people that dedicated over 100TB of storage to Chia back in May, who never earned a thing. And that was when the odds were five times better than now, with prices more than double the current going rate. Of course, luck comes into play. It's theoretically possible (though highly unlikely) to have just a few plots and win a block solution immediately. It's also possible to have hundreds of plots and go for many months without a single accepted solution. Also, just because a plot wins once doesn't mean it can't win again, so don't delete your plots after they win. The law of averages should equalize over time, but the real problem is that solo farming or mining basically sucks. It's why every major cryptocurrency has had pooled mining support for years now, which makes us wonder: How on Earth did the Chia creators think launching without pools was a good idea? Surely it didn't have anything to do with their own large pools of storage. If you want to better your chances, you'd need more storage and more Chia plots, which can quickly escalate to large amounts of money. This is the standard cryptocurrency arms race that we've seen repeated over the past decade with hundreds of po[CENSORED]r coins. The big miners - farmers in this case - want more of the total Chia pie and rush out to buy more hardware and increase their odds of winning. Except, this time, it's not just a matter of buying more SSDs or HDDs. This time farmers need to fill each of those with plots, and that takes time, additional hardware, and a bit of know-how.

Haptic motors and adaptive triggers will probably become the norm one day. The next iteration of the Xbox Series X / S gamepad could inherit some of Sony's DualSense features, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has indicated in a new interview. The PS5 controller is unique for its more powerful and precise haptic motors and adaptive triggers, and both are very impressive. Meanwhile, the new Xbox gamepad feels pretty much like the old one (it's still great, though). "We're definitely thinking about different kinds of devices that can bring more games to more places," Phil Spencer told Kinda Funny when questioned on Xbox hardware plans. "There’s probably some work that we’ll do on the controller. I think Sony’s done a nice job with their controller and we kind of look at some of that and there are things that we should go do. " If Microsoft inserts these features into the Xbox gamepad it'll probably mean day one compatibility with PC — at least for the company's first-party titles. Sony's DualSense can be used on PC, but not software natively supports its best tech, which is part of the reason why the Xbox gamepad is still the best controller for PC gaming. During the same interview Spencer also reaffirmed the company's ambivalence towards VR and AR, at least where Xbox is concerned. “We're watching what happens on PC,” he said. “As it relates to VR specifically, the best experience that I've seen is Quest 2 and I just think its untethered [nature] and ease of use in its capability just doesn't require me to be connected to an Xbox in any way. Executives said VW will design and make its own batteries, roll out a Level 4 autonomous vehicle in 2026 and beat Tesla at its own game. Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess said Tuesday that the German automaker's lineup of electric vehicles across its brands - including Porsche and Audi - could more than double its market share in the U.S. to 10 percent. Speaking with reporters and analysts after laying out a broad 10-year strategy for the giant German automaker that it is calling New Auto, Diess said the company believed EVs would be at parity with internal combustion engine-powered vehicles globally by 2030. In the US , he said, the ID4 electric compact crossover is nearly sold out for this year, and he predicted the retro-styled Microbus concept, set to debut in the US in 2023 and now called the ID Buzz, would prove po[CENSORED]r with consumers. "In an electrified world, we need emotional products" such as the evocatively styled ID Buzz, Diess said. "It really adds something for the brand that so many of our competitors don't have." Diess said the brand is currently "reworking" exactly which EVs it will offer in the U.S. beyond the ID4 and ID Buzz, but he said that with contributions from Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini, sales would lift the group's U.S. market share. "We are very happy with the development in the U.S. We are of course suffering constraints with chip supply. But this is not where we want to stay," Diess said. "We are running over 20 percent [market share] in China and 20 percent in Europe, so this is our aspiration in the U.S., for a higher market share as well." During the presentation, executives revealed that VW planned to renew its modular ICE-powered platform, called MQB, for another life cycle as it projects sales of fossil fuel-powered vehicles to decline as much as 20 percent worldwide by 2030. Executives also more fully detailed plans to merge VW's two existing EV platforms, known by their acronyms MEB and PPE, into a single Scalable Systems Platform, or SSP. The transformation will begin with a project underway at premium brand Audi called Artemis and another for its mass-market brands underway at VW dubbed Trinity. The company said that it would be possible in the future to "build models from all brands and segments on the SSP - more than 40 million group cars throughout its life cycle." The single battery-electric vehicle platform will improve scale and reduce complexity across the group's brands, including those that operate in the U.S. Audi will begin using SSP modules beginning in 2025 in its Artemis project vehicle, while VW would begin to use the modules a year later on its Trinity project. "If we had thought earlier, we would have combined MEB and PPE, but I think now is the time to combine those," Diess said. In terms of batteries, the company said it has developed what it is calling a "unified cell" that will be used to power a majority of the vehicles it produces globally. Those cells will debut in Europe in 2023. Diess also confirmed that the company planned to introduce a Level 4 autonomous driving-capable vehicle by 2026 in Europe with the Artemis project, which would be available later in the U.S. Another of VW's European subsidiaries is set to begin a pilot program in Hamburg, Germany, with a commercial driverless ride-sharing system in 2023 that it plans to roll out further across Europe later in the decade. Asked about how it plans to overtake Tesla in areas where the U.S. company already has a wide lead, Diess said VW's global scale and its brands give it the opportunity. "We are already deeply industrialized. I think it's an advantage to have different brands ... we can address a much wider range of customers," Diess said. "Scale wise, we should have advantages over Tesla for sure. This industry is also really consolidating toward very comparable solutions. The [electric motors] are becoming similar, the concepts are becoming similar. Now we are in second position, but now until 2025 , we should have a good chance to overtake. "

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/13/business/coca-cola-zero-sugar-new/index.html New York (CNN Business)If you're a big fan of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, you may want to brace yourself: The recipe for your beloved drink is changing. Coca-Cola said Tuesday that it is tweaking the beverage in an effort to make the drink taste more like regular Coke. The product's can will also look different — all red, rather than red and black. The move comes as Coca-Cola focuses its resources on its trademark products, including Coke, Coke Zero Sugar and Diet Coke after discontinuing some struggling brands. The company hopes the updated version of Coke Zero Sugar will attract more consumers. "Despite its enormous success, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar still represents a relatively small percentage," of the Coke brand, said CEO James Quincey during an April analyst call discussing first quarter results. "The improved recipe brings its taste even closer to that [of] the iconic Coca-Cola," he said, adding that "this was influenced by consumer insight and our focus on constant improvement." The new version, which will replace the current one, is rolling out in the United States this month and will hit Canada in September. Coca-Cola has already updated the product in some international markets, where some customers wonder why Coke is messing with their beloved drink. "What have you done to my favourite drink coke zero sugar?" one despondent fan tweeted. "The new recipe is shocking. I won't be buying another can until you fix your mistake and bring back the old flavour." Another wrote that the new version helped break an addiction to the product because "the new taste is so bad." Coke did not say exactly how it was changing the recipe in the United States, but noted that the new version should taste "more refreshing and delicious." Diehard fans may notice a big difference, but to this reporter, the two US versions tasted similar — with the new iteration slightly sweeter and fuller than the old. In the United States and Canada, both the old and new versions use the same ingredients, aspartame and acesulfame K, to sweeten the product. Different sweeteners are used in other markets throughout the world. Social media critics aside, the company is confident people will love the new product. "We pre-tested both the new recipe and the new look, with current Coca-Cola Zero Sugar consumers and non-consumers," said Rafael Prandini, category lead of Coca-Cola Trademark in North America. "And they really love it." The results the company has seen from these launches are "very encouraging," he said. Coca-Cola first launched Coke Zero in 2005. In 2017, it tweaked the product's recipe and rebranded it as Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. At the time, the change was also upsetting to some drinkers. One Twitter user begged Coca-Cola to "bring back Coke Zero," adding "#CokeZeroSugar is gross." Another called the new iteration "awful." Ultimately, however, it seems customers have embraced the beverage. In 2020, the product grew 4% by volume, helping lead to growth in the Coke brand overall. And in the first quarter of 2021, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar grew 8% by volume.

Video calls in Google Meet will now have a 60 minute time limit for users with a personal Gmail account as Google will now impose meeting length limits after not enforcing them during the pandemic. When the search giant's video conferencing software first became available to all users back in April of last year, the company said that there wouldn't be any meeting restrictions until September 30. However, that deadline was pushed back until March 31 before it was extended again to June 30 of this year. We've compiled a list of the best video conferencing software available These are the best online collaboration tools on the market Also check out our roundup of the best business webcams While some believed that Google would extend the deadline again, it hasn't and now Gmail users with a personal account will be limited to 60 minute video calls when in a meeting with three or more participants. Meeting length limits Unlike Zoom which cuts off once users reach its 40-minute time limit, Google Meet will instead send everyone a notification at 55 minutes that their call is about to end. In order to extend a group call with three or more participants past 60 minutes, the host can upgrade their Google account. According to a new support document from Google, the company recommends that users consider the individual tier of Google Workspace which costs $ 9.99 per month. However, Google Workspace Individual is currently only available in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Japan, so this won't work for everyone. Although there are now time limits for group video calls when using Meet with a personal Gmail account, these same restrictions don't apply to one-on-one calls which can last for up to 24 hours on both free and enterprise accounts. If you can't or don't want to sign up for Google Workspace to keep using Google Meet for group video calls, then you'll just have to keep track of the remaining time in a meeting though at least Google will give you a warning to let you know it's time to say your goodbyes

ExecutableFix, a reputable hardware leaker, has brought us another piece of information on AMD's next-generation Zen 4 mainstream processors. Apparently, Ryzen 6000 (reportedly codenamed Raphael) will potentially top out at 16 cores. There's a lot to be excited about with AMD's Zen 4 microarchitecture. For starters, the chips are rumored to come with TSMC's leading-edge 5nm process node. Previously, there were strong rumors that AMD could add a third chiplet to Ryzen 6000 to bump the core count up to 24, but ExecutableFix has dispelled that rumor. However, it was probably wishful thinking from the start since AMD already offers more cores than Intel on a mainstream processor. Furthermore, it wouldn't make sense for AMD to continue adding more cores since it would only threaten the chipmaker's Ryzen Threadripper HEDT lineup. Barring any surprises, the Ryzen 9 6950X will likely be the flagship chip for the Ryzen 6000 series. Logically, the 16-core part will replace the existing Ryzen 9 5950X. Although we might not see more cores, Zen 4 will allegedly offer us other advances in exchange, such as DDR5 support and four additional PCIe 4.0 lanes for more connectivity. In terms of TDP (thermal design power), Zen 4 isn't expected to be a lot more power-demanding than Zen 3. While the latter maxed out at 105W, Zen 4 could feature a maximum TDP of 120W, although there have been murmurs of a special edition 170W SKU. AMD has retained the AM4 socket for a while now, so the chipmaker will, in all probability, transition to the AM5 socket going forward. ExecutableFix has already provided us a mockup of how Zen 4 could look. Besides the stylish IHS (integrated heat spreader), the processor reportedly will no longer have any pins since the AM5 socket is rumored to sport a Land Grid Array (LGA) design, similar to what Intel has done since LGA775. However, the new layout doesn't look awfully different, so there's a chance that existing AM4 cooling solutions can work on AM5 with a converter kit. AMD is in no hurry to get Zen 4 out. The company's Ryzen 5000 (codename Vermeer) chips, which are based on Zen 3 cores, are among the best CPUs on the market right now. Furthermore, the chipmaker recently revealed a new Zen 3 Ryzen processor with 3D V-Cache that can deliver up to 192MB of L3 cache per chip. As a result, AMD has enough assets to hold Intel off until Zen 4, which may not debut until the fourth quarter of 2022.

Cyberpunk 2077 was in a notoriously rough state on last-gen consoles when it launched last year, to the point that Sony kicked it off the PlayStation Store outright. It remained unavailable on the PlayStation platform for a full six months, until it was finally returned on June 21 with a warning from Sony that it still runs like crap. "IMPORTANT NOTICE: Users continue to experience performance issues with this game," the Cyberpunk 2077 page on the PlayStation Store says, right at the very top. "Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems." That official pessimism, plus bad word of mouth and a Metacritic aggregate score of just 57%, does not appear to have dampened interest in the game: According to a PlayStation Blog update, Cyberpunk 2077 was the top downloaded game on the PlayStation 4 in both North America and Europe, beating out GTA5, FIFA 21, NBA 2K21, and Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, despite being available for purchase for only nine days. It's unexpected, but perhaps not all shocking. Cyberpunk 2077 was a buggy mess at launch and its scope was more restrictive than many CD Projekt fans were expecting, but it wasn't a fundamentally bad game: As James said in his comprehensive review, it's "a pretty good RPG in an amazing setting absolutely sick with bugs. " In June, shortly after Cyberpunk's return to the PlayStation Store, CD Projekt declared that the game was at a "satisfactory level" of stability, and while that's a far cry from declaring the job done (and CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kiciński promised that work will continue), it does indicate that the foundation is now at least reasonably solid. Digital Foundry testing found that to be largely the case: While it's still far from perfect, Cyberpunk 2077 now performs better and is much less prone to crashing, even on a PlayStation 4 base. Another possible factor in Cyberpunk's po[CENSORED]rity is that owners of the current release will get a free upgrade to the next-gen version for PlayStation 5 when it comes out later this year. For anyone who currently has a PlayStation 5, or is expecting to pick up one anytime soon, there's no reason (aside from holding out for a sale, I suppose) not to pick it up now. Whatever the reason, the strong bounceback is good news for CD Projekt. The studio said in its Q1 2021 financial report that the results of its CD Projekt Red division "will significantly depend on the sales volume of games set in the Cyberpunk and The Witcher universes," which will be impacted significantly by "the return of Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store. " How well that interest will hold up over the long run remains to be seen, but this strong start has to be encouraging.

The bite-size truck comes well equipped with a decent price. The 2022 Ford Maverick is ready to shake things up in the compact truck segment with its standard hybrid engine, unibody construction, and small size. Available in XL, XLT and Lariat trims, the Maverick can be optioned with a handful of packages that change its aesthetic and capability. The 2022 Ford Maverick First Edition adds a few details which differentiate it from other Mavericks. For starters, the First Edition is based on the Lariat Luxury package, but it adds a black roof and mirror caps, "First Edition" decals on the sides of the bed and hood, a moonroof and a tonneau cover. Depending on the engine, the First Edition comes with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires for the 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain, or 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires with the 2.0-liter gas version. The package costs $ 1,495, and while it doesn't do much to visually differentiate it from the other models, customers get to pick between 11 paint colors — three of which are exclusive to the First Edition. Rapid Red, Carbonized Gray and Area 51 are limited to the First Edition only, and the latter is our favorite, as its similar to the one found in the Ford Bronco First Edition. Given that the First Edition is based on the well-equipped Lariat trim, customers will get almost every option available. That means the spray-in bedliner, a 400W inverter, the B&O premium audio system with eight speakers, and the 8.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system are all included. A front-drive First Edition Maverick we built using Ford's online configurator came out to $ 33,005 — a great value despite all that fancy equipment. We look forward to driving the 2022 Ford Maverick in the next few months.

https://www.bbc.com/mundo/noticias-internacional-57754879 Authorities in Miami announced last Wednesday, July 7, the conclusion of the search for survivors among the rubble of the building that collapsed a few weeks ago in the city of Surfside, north of the city of Miami Beach. The mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, indicated this Monday that, with the latest findings, the total of confirmed deaths amounts to 94. Another 22 people are still missing, two weeks after the Champlain Towers South collapse. "We made the extremely difficult decision to transition from search and rescue to recovery [of bodies]," Levine Cava said Wednesday of last week. The mayor and rescuers were visibly emotional when they observed a minute of silence for the deceased. The 12-story building partially collapsed in the early morning of June 24. More than 150 people had been reported missing in the first hours after the collapse. In recent days, rescuers have had greater access to the different areas of the collapse, after the rest of the condominium that was still standing was demolished on Sunday, since it represented a risk for emergency teams. Levine Cava said Wednesday that experts have "exhausted all options" to rescue survivors, which was notified to families who lost loved ones in the landslide. Many were devastated when notified of the decision made by the authorities, the mayor acknowledged. "Nothing we do can bring those who lost to them, but we will do everything in our power to identify all the victims and offer closure to families in this time of unimaginable pain," he said.

Microsoft and Google are developing a new set of Chromium APIs that will extend the functionality of the copy-and-paste feature across their respective web browsers, reports suggest. Currently, Chrome and Edge only allow users to copy a small selection of common file formats between the web and desktop applications, including jpg, png, HTML and a few others. New Pickle Clipboard APIs, however, could soon extend compatibility to a number of niche and proprietary file types, such as .docx (used in Microsoft Word) and TIFF (an image format po[CENSORED]r for graphic design). Here's our list of the best VPN services around Check out our list of the best anonymous browsers out there We've built a list of the best proxy services on the market If adopted by developers, the new APIs could create a scenario whereby users can freely copy files between progressive web apps (PWAs) and software installed on Windows, macOS and mobile platforms. For instance, Windows users could copy documents to the clipboard via File Explorer and paste them straight into the Google Docs web app without encountering any compatibility issues. According to design documents reviewed by WindowsLatest, the Pickle Clipboard APIs will also allow developers to create custom clipboard formats and offer “fine-grained control” over the copy-and-paste function. Copy-and-paste upgrades The copy-and-paste feature may seem insignificant at face value, but actually plays a central role in many aspects of the computing and web browsing experience. And this is by no means Microsoft’s first attempt to streamline the feature in recent months, across both Windows 10 and Edge. In August, Microsoft unveiled a new Windows 10 clipboard with a dedicated panel for multimedia content, such as emojis and GIFs. This upgrade also extended the clipboard history function to include images and HTML content, as well as text. Later in the year, Microsoft announced improvements to the Cloud Clipboard utility, which allows users to copy-and-paste items across multiple devices. Instead of synchronizing clipboard content across Windows 10 devices exclusively, users of the Microsoft-owned SwiftKey Keyboard for Android can also now take advantage of the tool. Microsoft Edge, meanwhile, recently received a Link Format option that lets users paste web content as plain text, overriding any unwanted formatting. A new feature called Shared Links is also currently undergoing testing. Once live, this feature will give users access to a searchable history page, making it easier to re-find content they have copied and shared. Microsoft's marketing department continues to hit it out of the park. The Xbox Game Pass Twitter account continued its hijinks this week with a advertisement for the service featuring a PlayStation 4 controller and a joke about Nickelback. The ad in question shows a picture of a person playing Sea of Thieves with a DualShock 4 controller, along with an Xbox take on the Nickelback song "Photograph." "Look at this photograph / it's one of our cloud gaming ads / do you see what's in those hands? / It's a controller from a different brand," reads the lyrics. The DualShock 4 is one of many non-Microsoft controllers that support Xbox Game Pass with cloud gaming. That said, Microsoft officially recommends an Xbox controller. This new Game Pass ad is just the latest silly promotional material the company put out this week to hype the service. In what was maybe it's biggest spot yet, Xbox partnered with the band All-4-One for a remix of its classic song "I Swear" featuring lyrics about Xbox. For more on Game Pass, you can check out a list of the titles coming to and leaving Xbox Game Pass in July. Additionally, Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios recently explained why it's partnering with Microsoft to bring its new game, Contraband, to Xbox Game Pass. In other Xbox news, Microsoft has announced major plans to expand Xbox Game Pass by creating its own Xbox-branded streaming devices, launching the service in more markets, and working with TV manufacturers to put Xbox directly into TVs. For more games to play on Xbox, check out our guides to the best Xbox One games of all time and the best Xbox Series X games available so far. The latest Windows 11 update, build 22000.65, brings with it a few small improvements and bug fixes. However, it takes a way one really important customization option: the ability to restore the Windows 10 Start menu. As we explained in our recent tutorial on how to get the Windows 10 Start menu in Windows 11, all you needed to do was create a DWORD (32-bit) registry value named Start_ShowClassicMode in the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced key and set it to 1. However, as of the new update, this hack no longer works and you're stuck with Windows 11's Start menu. If, like me, you dislike the Windows 11 Start menu, this update is a real downer. Microsoft has not officially said why it took this feature away or if it has some plan to bring it back. However, if past policy is any indication, the Redmond Software giant rarely allows users to bring back the Start menu from a previous Windows version. However, there's a sizable cottage industry in software utilities that replace Windows 10's Start menu with custom UIs, and we would expect these utilities to do the same for Windows 11 at some point. Stardock's Start 10 is one of the leaders in this space, allowing Windows 10 users to get a Windows 7-style Start menu. However, I just tested Start10 in Windows 11 and it failed to work (it put a Start button in the lower left corner but when I clicked it, nothing happened).

This concept uses a HEPA filter to achieve what it claims are negative, not just zero, emissions. The pollution-filtering EV was on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. Electric-vehicle concepts are common enough these days that you need more than a zero-emission powertrain to stand out. So why not work on a negative-emission EV? That's what Heatherwick Studio did with its Airo concept, which uses a HEPA filter under the car to filter out pollution from other cars on the road. The Airo has been on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. Hyundai has similar air-filtering technology on its Nexo hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, but there the filter does double duty by cleaning the air that the fuel-cell stack needs to operate. A motor vehicle with negative carbon emissions has, until recently, been basically impossible. Sure, electric vehicles have no local tailpipe emissions, but to actually reduce the amount of carbon in the air as you drive is no small feat. Hyundai says its Nexo hydrogen fuel-cell CUV actually cleans the air it moves through, since the car's fuel-cell stack needs purified air. The car accomplishes this by using a special filter that removes microparticulates from the incoming air, and that means the exhaust (such as it is) is cleaner than what was taken in. The car can even display the amount of CO2 removed. This filtering strategy is similar to the one used by the Airo, a new concept vehicle designed by Heatherwick Studio in England. The electric vehicle has a "state-of-the-art HEPA filtering system" that cleans the air that moves through the vehicle's undercarriage. No precise specifics were given about how many pollutants the Airo traps, but Heatherwick told the BBC that the concept can "collect a tennis ball worth of particulate matter per year." Heatherwick, which also designed London's new Routemaster bus and buildings including Google's headquarters in California and London, is displaying the Airo at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. The Airo's interior tries to be as different as the air filter on the exterior. Heatherwick said that it's not supposed to be simply a place to sit while moving around, but to act like a "moving room or a space for your life." Like other EV concepts, the front seats can swivel around to face the vehicle's center, where there's also a four-leaf table that can fold away when you don't want to dine or play a tabletop game, and use the Airo more like a lounge. You can also unfold a screen for projected video images - Heatherwick said the Airo can become "a perfect gaming-pod" in this configuration and the seats can even fold down into a "spacious" double bed. The glass roof can turn opaque for more private moments. "Designed to simultaneously address the global space shortage, Airo is also a multi-functional room with extra space for dining, working, gaming or even sleeping," said Heatherwick Studio founder Thomas Heatherwick in a statement. "As a new room for our lives, with a changing view, Airo is a car intended to transport us to a cleaner and better future." Heatherwick isn't planning on building the Airo itself. Instead, the studio designed the EV for IM Motors which said in April, when the Airo debuted at the Shanghai auto show, that it plans to start building the EV in 2023. The BBC said IM Motors plans to make "a million of them. " The Airo is supposedly capable of both autonomous and human-controlled driving but details about the self-driving features and exactly how the air purifier will work in the real world when it comes to production remain, well, up in the cleaner air.

https://www.elperiodico.com/es/deportes/20210711/brasil-argentina-copa-america-final-resultado-messi-11901372 Maracanazo and party. An unforgettable party. Argentina was left with the Copa América in Brazil. They won 1-0 in Rio de Janeiro and ended a 28-year drought. Leo Messi broke the spell and also had his first title with the senior team. He looked for it and at 34, after three lost finals, he found that he was chasing so much. Neymar went to hug him before lifting the elusive trophy with his two hands. On his face was drawn the smile that spread to a country that, in a pandemic, began its party at nightfall. Messi kisses the Copa América after winning the final in Maracana against Brazil. "GOD WAS KEEPING THIS MOMENT FOR ME" Messi: the new Christ the Redeemer A Brazil and Argentina is not just anything. The classic is played with the knife in the mouth. It could not be otherwise in the Rio night. For this reason, from the beginning, the game was very difficult, with more character than imagination. The players put the leg strong. Nobody wanted to risk, and it had to be a mistake or Messi's personal adventure, chosen as the best of the tournament and top scorer, with four goals, or Neymar, who opened a gap in defense. The Maracana field did not help much to the fluidity of the game: the ball bounced like a rabbit. It seemed at times that it was being played on a beach in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil played closer to the Argentine area, but it was difficult for them to reach Martínez's goal with danger. At 21 minutes the stadium rocked: Rodrigo De Paul stole a ball in the center of the court and masterfully enabled Ángel Di María. The PSG player was left alone in front of Ederson and placed the ball over his head. The goal came unexpectedly and the blue and white team. The locals did not expect such a setback, and although they reacted immediately, they could not find a way to overcome the score. Nor could they take advantage of Argentina's difficulties to start from the goal with the ball at their feet. The team led by Lionel Scaloni then fell back to preserve the result. A dramatic second half Tité decided to shuffle the cards again and plant a more offensive team: he took out Fred, who was cautioned, and placed Roberto Firmino in the attack. The first minutes of the complement did not show variations in relation to the first stage. Argentina had to exert enormous physical effort to stop the Brazilian incursions. Scaloni sought to strengthen the midfield when the canarinha began to gain prominence. Guido Rodríguez replaced Paredes to have more serenity and domination. At 55 minutes, Ney was finally able to get rid of the markers and left Richarlison alone. The forward's shot met the hands of goalkeeper Martínez. Argentina tried to withstand the attacks with what little air it had left. Scaloni took out Lo Celso and replaced another defender, Nicolás Tagliafico. Vinicius Junior came out for Everton to give Brazil more offensive variants. The game began to be a round trip. Messi, who played despite some discomfort, was at the gates of the feat after 62 minutes, only against the world. Every time he tried to intervene, he had four and even five Brazilians on top. Something similar happened to Neymar who, by pure dribbling, forced Argentina to foul or throw the ball far away. The figure of ten was growing. Tité was gambling to kill or be killed: he had started without a number nine and then put Gabigol together with Firmino. Emerson replaced Lodi. The last quarter of an hour was dramatic. Gabriel Romero, who had been insurmountable, had to retire injured. Pezzella rose to the occasion. Frictions grew and there was even an attempted fight after Otamendi blew up Neymar. At 82, Gabigol was left with a gasp. Time was running out and Brazil was losing the tie. Messi no longer had air. It was a matter of enduring the siege. Martínez prevented the parity on Gabigol's left foot. Messi, on a backlash, lost an unimaginable possibility after being enabled by the heroic De Paul. Only the terrible state of the grass can explain that the best of all did not have his great consecrating goal. But Leo wanted above all a collective achievement. He had it. When he heard the closing whistle, he knelt and, on the grass, covered his face. They were all hugging him. "That of the hand of Leo Messi, all the return we are going to give", they sang to him at the end of the end.
