iPhone 17 series rumours have been circulating on the Web for some time now. The lineup is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim), iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, and expected to launch in the second quarter of the year. The iPhone 17 Air is believed to debut as Apple's thinnest phone to date and is likely to replace the Plus variant. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has now revealed more details about the upcoming slim iPhone. The brand reportedly considered launching the iPhone 17 Air without any ports. In his weekly Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman claims that Apple initially planned to make the iPhone 17 Air "Apple's first completely port-free iPhone" with wireless charging support and data syncing accomplished via the cloud. He states that the upcoming Air model will "foreshadow a move to slimmer models without charging ports." The brand reportedly shelved this plan to avoid potential consequences from European Union (EU) regulators. In recent years, the EU pushed Apple to replace the old Lightning charging port with the USB Type-C on its iPhone models. The iPhone 17 Air's skinny build necessitated a thinner battery, and that often means less battery life. Gurman said that Apple didn't want to compromise on iPhone 17 Air's battery life and it asked engineers to redesign the display, silicon components and software, to make the device more efficient. Just be careful, because when the fog draws in at night strange beings scratching at the edge of sanity are the least of your worries! Dredge was a near-instant fan favourite for obvious reasons. The realm of nautical horror is one which encapsulates a huge number of exciting and terrifying themes, while simply chugging along the waterways and watching your plucky fishing boat can be just as relaxing as the rest of Dredge is stressful. Paytm announced its partnership with AI-powered search platform Perplexity on Thursday. With this partnership, the mobile payments platform is integrating a search interface powered by Perplexity. The One97 Communications-owned company said that the AI-powered search experience will allow users to get real-time answers to queries and financial assistance without the need to leave the app. The new search experience is available as a free tool and comes with a full-screen user interface (UI) that allows users to access Perplexity's basic features. Paytm Integrates Perplexity's AI-Powered Search In a blog post, the fintech company announced the partnership with the AI firm and the launch of the new search experience. Paytm said that this collaboration brings AI-driven intelligence into mobile payments, and will help users get real-time financial assistance within the app. The company highlighted that this collaboration was undertaken as the need for instant and reliable information to support users' financial decision-making in managing finances, exploring market trends, and making daily choices was felt. “With Perplexity, we are bringing the Power of AI to Millions of Indian Consumers, making knowledge and financial services more seamless and accessible,” said Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of Paytm. Paytm’s Solar Battery-Powered Soundbox for Merchants Launched Notably, the AI-powered search experience is not being integrated with Paytm's existing app-wide search interface that can be accessed by tapping the magnifying glass icon at the top-right corner of the app. Instead, Perplexity's AI search will be available in the Free Tools section on the home page. The section also features tools for credit score checking, mutual fund reports, and insurance status.
