  2. If you've ever wanted to be a postal worker, and experienced the nerve-wracking stress of making speedy deliveries and working under intense pressure well, first of all, I can't imagine what sort of appeal you see in it. But if that's what you're looking for, maybe the upcoming satirical story-based puzzler Boxbound is what you're looking for The gameplay in Boxbound is simple, you need to fit variously-shaped boxes onto a snaking grid before making deliveries as you drive along the city streets dodging obstacles left and right. The twist comes in, well, the twists, as you'll need to deal with everything from power outages to debris covering the grid that needs sweeping up. Oh, and did I mention that the outside world will be moving all the time while you're working? Your good friend and fellow employee Peter will keep you abreast of all the goings-on that change your work drastically and in weirder and weirder ways. https://www.pocketgamer.com/boxbound/coming-soon/
  4. The Asus Zenbook series has always been the pinnacle of innovations and premium features. The company has a great lineup of Zenbook series with both Intel and AMD chipsets. Now, the brand has also added the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors to strengthen its position in the premium segment further. Meet the latest Asus Zenbook A14 that brings the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X Elite processor to the masses. The brand's all-new laptop offers many premium features, including a sleek and lightweight design, a crisp OLED display, the latest Snapdragon X platform chipsets, and more. But does it make sense to go for this new machine from Asus? I have some time to spend with the device, and this is what you need to know. Asus Zenbook A14 Design: Classy and Sassy Dimension - 310.7 x 213.9 x 13.4mm Weight - 980 grams Colours - Iceland Gray and Zabriskie Beige One of the most interesting aspects of the Zenbook A14 has to be the design. The latest laptop from the brand is one of the lightest laptops that I have reviewed in a while. The laptop weighs just 980 grams, which is possible due to the new Ceraluminum material used by the brand. https://www.gadgets360.com/laptops/reviews/asus-zenbook-a14-review-7906893#pfrom=indepth

  8. At least 85 Palestinians have been killed in overnight Israeli air strikes in Gaza, the territory's Hamas-run health ministry has said. Hours later, Israel's military said it had intercepted three rockets, which Hamas's armed wing said it fired at Tel Aviv in response. It comes after Israel resumed its bombing campaign and ground operations in Gaza this week, with air strikes having already killed more than 430 people over the past two days, according to the health ministry. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that it had started a ground operation in northern Gaza. There had been a reprieve from large-scale military action since January, when a ceasefire had begun. Gaza's health ministry also reported that 133 people were injured in the latest attacks on Thursday. Israel resumed attacks on Tuesday as talks to extend the ceasefire deal failed to progress, warning they would intensify until Hamas released the remaining hostages. Israel says Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, 24 of whom are believed to still be alive. IDF spokesperson Col Avichay Adraee said Hamas had fired three rockets from southern Gaza. One was intercepted, while the other two fell in an "open area", he wrote in a post on X. The Israeli military said earlier on Thursday that it had begun "targeted ground activities" to create what it called a "partial buffer between the north and south" of Gaza. It called the action a "limited ground operation". Col Adraee said forces were deployed up to the centre of a strip, known as the Netzarim Corridor, which divides northern and southern Gaza. Meanwhile, five staff members of the UN's Palestinian refugee agency Unrwa were among those killed over the "past few days", the agency's chief Philippe Lazzarini said in a post on X. "They were teachers, doctors and nurses," he added, warning that "the worst is yet to come" amid the ongoing ground invasion. On Wednesday, the UN said that one of its workers had been killed after its compound in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza was damaged. While it said the circumstances remain unclear, UN Office for Project Services head Jorge Moreira said it was "not an accident" and "at least an incident". Gaza's health ministry blamed an Israeli strike, which it said injured five others. Israel's military said it did not attack the compound but was investigating the incident. UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy confirmed on Thursday that a UK national had been wounded in the compound attack. It comes after a charity said one of its workers, a 51-year-old British bomb disposal expert, had been injured. "Our priority is supporting them and their family at this time," he told MPs. At the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, Qasim Abu Sharqiya said his two-year-old son, Omar, had been born through in vitro fertilisation (IVF) after five years of trying. "They bombed a tent next to us and he died," he told AFP. "Omar is my only son, oh world, and I have no one else." A doctor there, Tanya Haj Hassan, told the BBC's Newshour that she had heard of at least 76 people who "didn't even make it into the ER" but were taken "straight to the mortuary". She recalled "a level of horror and evil that is really hard to articulate - it felt like Armageddon". https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cm2dr7jd7mno
  9. UPDATE 3/20/25: This story has been updated with details about automakers who have released official NACS adapters as well as those who have released a new model with a built-in NACS port. People who drive diesel- or gas-powered vehicles can pull up to almost any fuel pump and fill their tanks without having to think twice. It's not that simple for EV drivers. That's because electric vehicles currently have one of several different charge ports, from the oddball CHAdeMO to the more common Combined Charging System (CCS) and Tesla's proprietary North American Charging Standard (NACS). Tesla's NACS charge port and the company's extensive network of Superchargers are largely considered the gold standard, and it appears other automakers are ready to make Tesla's system the industry standard. In May 2023, Ford was the first to agree to team up with Tesla and adopt the NACS plug; then the dominos started falling, with several other automakers recently announcing agreements with Tesla. The engineering group SAE International also announced that it will standardize the NACS connector. With other automakers—and charging networks—expected to adopt Tesla's plug, we've compiled a list of them as well as those we've heard are in talks to join. We'll update this list as new agreements are confirmed or if we hear of more potential deals. Automakers That Have Agreed to Adopt Tesla's Charging Plug Acura The Acura ZDX is currently the brand's lone EV offering. While the electric mid-size luxury SUV comes standard with a CCS-type charge port, Acura has announced that it will offer an adapter that will allow the ZDX to connect to Tesla's Superchargers, which use a proprietary NACS port. The CCS-to-NACS adapter will be available through Acura dealers starting sometime in June, and pricing will be announced closer to that time. ZDX owners don't have to worry about setting a reminder, though, as they'll get a notification via the Acura EV app. Right now, it's unclear if Acura plans to transition to a standard NACS plug in the future. Audi Audi has agreed to adopt Tesla's NACS charge port in North America starting in 2025. Along with building new models that feature the plug, the company says it is working on an adapter for pre-2025 models with a CCS-type port, which would give them access to Tesla's Supercharger network. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a44388939/tesla-nacs-charging-network-compatibility/
  10. Stormzy has been nominated for an honorary degree alongside one of the most decorated British female Olympians, Dame Katherine Grainger. In 2018 the musician, whose real name is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, launched a scholarship programme for black students at the University of Cambridge. The institution said he would receive a doctorate in law in recognition of his philanthropic work and impact on education, music, sport and literature. Eight people will be recognised by the university, including Dame Katherine, the first female chair of the British Olympic Association. Cambridge University said the "Stormzy effect" had contributed to an increase in applications to the university from black students across the UK. The Stormzy Scholarship funds two black British students per year at Cambridge, covering their tuition fees and maintenance costs. It was later expanded when HSBC UK agreed to fund a further 10 students per year. The university said 55 students had been supported by a Stormzy Scholarship so far, and this year would see the largest group to date graduate. Dame Katherine will also receive a doctorate in law from the university. She is currently chancellor of the University of Glasgow and is the only British woman to have won a medal at five successive Olympic Games. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c04zyg716pqo
  11. The western green mamba (Dendroaspis viridis ) is a long, thin, and highly venomous snake species of the mamba genus, Dendroaspis. This species was first described in 1844 by American herpetologist Edward Hallowell. It will also descend to ground level to pursue prey such as rodents and other small mammals. The Western green mamba is a long, thin, and highly venomous snake. It is a fairly large and predominantly arboreal species, capable of navigating through trees swiftly and gracefully. It will also descend to ground level to pursue prey such as rodents and other small mammals. Some consider Western green mambas not to be particularly aggressive snakes, but others have suggested that they are extremely nervous and are prone to attack aggressively when cornered. Conflict with humans is low compared to some other species found in the region. Bites to people by this species are quite uncommon. Their mortality rate, however, is high and many of the recorded bites have been fatal. https://animalia.bio/western-green-mamba?collection=36
  12. Nations League play-off, first leg: Greece v Scotland Venue: Karaiskakis Stadium, Piraeus Date: Thursday, 20 March Time: 19:45 GMT Coverage: Watch on BBC One Scotland & iPlayer; listen on BBC Radio Scotland & Sounds; live text coverage & in-play clips on the BBC Sport website & app The return of Kieran Tierney has given Scotland head coach Steve Clarke "a lot to think about" going into the Nations League play-off with Greece. The Arsenal defender picked up a hamstring injury during Euro 2024, missing all of the matches in Scotland's debut campaign in the top tier of the competition. The 27-year-old has been used sparingly by the London club, starting just twice in 11 appearances since late December. He has been an integral player for Clarke, mostly deployed on the left of a back three. But Scotland have had success using two central defenders in his absence, finishing third in their group to avoid automatic demotion. "As a coach, you want as many difficult choices as possible," Clarke said ahead of Thursday's first leg in Athens. "I've got a few of them. "It gives us another option. We've discussed it. Hopefully, we can come up with the right solution for the game." Scotland finished their League A section strongly, beating Croatia and Poland after a home draw with Portugal. "The team has been good with a back four," Clarke said. "Obviously, we changed the whole way we approached the game in the Nations League. "The group stages, we went four. It worked. It worked well because we also had the little outlet on the right-hand side with the pace of Ben Doak and we didn't have the option of putting Kieran into the team. "So, yeah, it's given me a lot to think about." Winger Doak and striker Lyndon Dykes are sidelined for the trip to Greece, while in-form midfielder Ryan Christie is suspended. Teenagers James Wilson and Lennon Miller have been called up for the first time but are unlikely to be pitched in at the Karaiskakis Stadium. "It's nice to have fresh faces and a glimpse of the future, but the boys have done ever so well," Clarke said. "Lots of experience, lots of caps, and maybe the situation and the atmosphere needs an experienced team on the pitch. "You want the strongest atmosphere you get can when you're a player. You've got to enjoy this type of occasion. "We're used to it and recently we've had some good performances away from home. "Hopefully we can get another one here." While acknowledging the strength of Greece, who surprised England at Wembley in October, Clarke is determined to remain a League A side following Sunday's return leg at Hampden. "It's important because of the work we have put into the group stage," he added. "We spent a long time trying to get into the top section of the Nations League. "We managed to get into a position that puts us in the play-off and obviously we want to stay there." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cdxqdy0rpgyo
  13. Zimbabwe's sports minister Kirsty Coventry has been elected as the new president of the International Olympic Committee. The 41-year-old former swimmer, who won two Olympic gold medals, replaces German Thomas Bach - who had held the role since 2013 - and becomes the first woman, the first African and the youngest person to hold the role. World Athletics boss Lord Coe was among the favourites to win Thursday's election in Greece, but Coventry secured an absolute majority of 49 of the 97 votes available in the first round of voting. Runner-up Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr won 28 votes while Coe secured eight. Coventry, who already sits on the IOC executive board and was said to be Bach's preferred candidate, is the 10th person to hold the highest office in sport and be in post for at least the next eight years. Coventry has won seven of Zimbabwe's eight Olympic medals - including gold in the 200m backstroke at both the 2004 and 2008 Games. "The young girl who first started swimming in Zimbabwe all those years ago could never have dreamed of this moment," said Coventry, who beat six male rivals to win the vote. "I am particularly proud to be the first female IOC president, and also the first from Africa. "I hope that this vote will be an inspiration to many people. Glass ceilings have been shattered today, and I am fully aware of my responsibilities as a role model." During her election campaign Coventry pledged to modernise, promote sustainability, embrace technology and empower athletes. She placed particular emphasis on protecting female sport, backing a blanket ban of transgender women from competing in female Olympic sport. Coventry has faced criticism in Zimbabwe in her capacity as sports minister since 2018, but defended her association with the government of controversial president Emmerson Mnangagwa. Governmental interference in football resulted in Fifa banning Zimbabwe from international football in 2022, while last year the United States imposed sanctions on Mnangagwa and other senior officials for corruption and human rights abuses. https://www.bbc.com/sport/olympics/articles/cy4v91e3e1wo

  17. Here it is: the list of the best mobile games of 2025 so far! We'll be adding more reviews as the games get released, so make sure to bookmark this page and check it every now and then. You can also have a look at the best mobile games of 2024 if you're feeling a little nostalgic! All the mobile games we've reviewed in 2025 Every year, we review hundreds of new mobile games, picking out the cream of the crop for you to play. It's not as easy a process as you might think. For a start, there's definitely no time to review everything - our editors and reviewers look through the stacks of titles released each month and pick out those which we think have the most promise. There are tens of thousands of mobile games released every year, and we only have so much time. So, even before games are reviewed, they're filtered through on multiple levels before that selection. But, with us doing so many reviews each year, we thought it was sensible to create this resource, so that you can, at a quick glance, see the best mobile games of 2025 by review ranking. We'll let you in on what might be quite a well-known secret: the teams at Steel Media (that's Pocket Gamer, Pocket Gamer France, 148Apps, App Spy, and more) really love mobile games - as well we should, because we've been reviewing them for over 15 years now, or, if you want to do that weird thing people do where they add up the collective years to get an obscene number, the sites have been reviewing mobile games for over fifty years collectively... That means that there's a lot of knowledge in these halls, and it also means that we are quite precise when it comes to picking which ones we do decide to review. Below you will find - by awarded score and within that, alphabetical order - each of the games we've chosen to review this year so far. Decide for yourself which of them are the best mobile games of 2025! https://www.pocketgamer.com/best-games/mobile-games-of-2025/
