Two rare Ferraris gifted to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) have funded a new lifeboat station and vital equipment from their sale. The two cars, donated to the RNLI by businessman and classic car enthusiast Richard Colton in his will after he died in 2015, are a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB and a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4. The BBC reports the two cars sold at auction for a combined figure approaching £8.6 million, with the 250 GT making £6.6m and the 275 raising £1.93m. They are the most valuable items ever left to the RNLI in a single donation. A large portion of the money was used to fund new equipment for the existing lifeboat station in Hastings and £3.8m paid for the installation of a new station in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales. The boathouse is complete and a delayed new lifeboat will arrive in April.

Though you can run a Raspberry Pi effectively without one, many want a case that can protect the single-board computer while offering an attractive design, built-in cooling or even special features. The amount of Raspberry Pi cases available is almost as numerous as decimal places in the number Pi, but choosing the right one for your model and use case can be a challenge. There’s no single best Raspberry Pi case for all uses, because what you would want for a media center is different from what you need for maker projects. Below we’ve listed our favorite Raspberry Pi cases, including picks not only for the current-generation Raspberry Pi 4 but also for the Raspberry Pi 3 series and the diminutive Raspberry Pi Zero / Zero W. Black Friday Raspberry Pi Deals This Black Friday season is a great time to buy a new Raspberry Pi case as well as some accessories for your next project. With a diverse range of cases on offer, from retro consoles to cool and sleek aluminum chassis. There is a case for every user and project. We're tracking all of the sales on our best Black Friday Raspberry Pi deals page. Raspberry Pi Case Shopping Tips Do you need GPIO / Camera / Display Access? Many cases limit or completely block your access to the GPIO pins, which you need to attach the best Raspberry Pi HATs and other lights, motors and sensors. Before you buy, consider whether you plan to use the GPIO pins and whether you need to put a HAT directly on top of your Pi or you are comfortable using a ribbon cable to connect to the pins as some cases allow only that. The CSI camera and DSI display ports may also be blocked on some cases. What kind of cooling? Some cases come with built-in fans while others use passive cooling by turning the top of the case into a heatsink. Still others leave room for a fan but don’t come with one. If you’re buying a case for a Raspberry Pi 4, cooling is critical. Need anything special? While there are plenty of generic cases that just hold the Raspberry Pi, there are others that offer unique design or functionality. Some cases allow you to put the Pi on the back of a screen or come with a screen attached. Other models are meant to look like or function like retro game consoles. Would you be better off without a pre-made case? For any project that involves building a robot or other physical device, you may be better served by using either no case at all or building your own case that incorporates the wires, buttons or other devices you need. Do you already own a Raspberry Pi? With the release of the Raspberry Pi 400 we see a modified Raspberry Pi 4 4GB inside a keyboard chassis. We have access to the GPIO, great cooling but no connections for the official Raspberry Pi Camera or touchscreen. If you are just starting out, the Raspberry Pi 400 may be the best all round purchase. The Argon Neo is an attractive gunmetal-gray aluminum on its top and sides, with a shiny black plastic bottom. An aluminum plate covers the surface of the Raspberry Pi 4 and uses an included thermal pad to bond the CPU and RAM to the metal for passive cooling. However, there are generous cutouts in this plates for the GPIO pins and the CSI / DSI ports. You can easily fit a standard-size HAT on the Argon Neo, without the need for an extender or a ribbon cable. There’s even a little nook on the right side of the case -- above the USB ports -- where you can prop up a Raspberry Pi camera module. A removable, magnetic cover goes over the top and completes the sleek aesthetic, but if you plan to use a HAT or camera module, you’ll need to leave the attractive cover off. However, with the cover on, you get really strong passive cooling. Even with the Raspberry Pi 4 overclocked to 2.1 GHz and the stressberry test taxing the CPU, the temperature never exceeded 78 degrees Celsius, which is well below the 85-degree throttle point. If your priority is ease of access to the GPIO pins so you can add a HAT, Raspberry Pi 4, Pimoroni’s Pibow Coupe could be your best choice. The Coupe is not completely sealed on top so it leaves the GPIO pins completely unobstructed and provides enough room to run cables to both the camera and display CSI ports. If you like a dash of color, the rainbow-colored version (it also comes in “red” and “ninja” aka black shades), will brighten up your desk. The Pibow Coupe doesn’t come with any cooling solution, but the CPU isn’t covered by anything so you can attach a heatsink, a fan HAT or Pimoroni’s own fan shim (our favorite of these choices), which just slides over the first 12 GPIO pins, but allows you to put a HAT on top of it. Pimoroni’s colorful plastic case is put together in layers that you stack carefully around the Pi and then screw together, which means that you have to disassemble the entire case to remove the computer from it. It also leaves part of the top surface of the Pi and the side area around the ports open to the air, which means it doesn’t protect or hide your Pi as much as many other cases. That’s a worthwhile tradeoff for easy access to all the pins and connectors. There are also similar Pibow models for the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ , 3 A+ and Pi Zero / Zero W. While we’re underwhelmed by the official Raspberry Pi Case for Raspberry Pi 4, the Pi Foundation’s official case for Pi Zero is an excellent choice. The plastic case is made from red and white plastic that match the official Raspberry Pi color scheme so purists will be happy with the aesthetic. However, what really stands out on the Raspberry Pi Zero case is its removable lib. The kit comes with three lids: one that’s completely skilled, another with the GPIO pins exposed and a third with a round hole specifically for mounting a camera. A small camera ribbon cable is also bundled case so you can easily connect a camera module and have it peer out the hole, without leaving lots of slack cable inside. If you want to have a simple camera that you can carry or even use as a Raspberry Pi body camera, the official Raspberry Zero case is for you. It also provides a nice and stylish way to protect your Pi Zero while still having solid access to the GPIO pins. However, you’ll probably need an extender if you wish to put a HAT on over the case. The SmartiPi Touch 2 allows you to combine Raspberry Pi’s official 7-inch touch screen with a camera module and just about any Raspberry Pi board (except the Zero) to create an awesome kiosk-style device. You mount the official touch screen in the SmartiPi Touch, which provides a space on the back to screw on your Pi and a camera hole as well. Once put together, the SmartiPi Touch 2 can live on a table where you can adjust its angle up or down and / or use screws to permanently attach it to a surface. It even has space on the back for an optional VESA mount. The camera area of the front comes with three different face plates, one that has room for the camera and is flat, one that has no camera hole and one that has a camera hole but also lego-compatible studs you can build on. When it comes to protecting the Raspberry Pi itself, you have a few choices. The SmartiPi Touch 2 comes with a fan cage that you can snap in place over the Pi or plain, black fanless cover with a hole for GPIO pins. Or you could do what we did and screw the Pi in but forgo the covers so you have plenty of room to attach a HAT as needed. The best e-commerce platforms can enable your business to set up an online store that suits your needs. There is a huge variety of e-commerce platform packages from which to choose, so building an online store has never been easier. To begin, first you'll need ecommerce web hosting, which is to say hosting that will scale up with your business without interruption. Next you'll need shopping cart software to run with your ecommerce site. This will probably include a payment gateway for credit card processing, though if you're already established and have a decent enough credit rating you could apply for merchant services to reduce transaction costs. Your ecommerce website doesn't have to be expensive to design, either, as there are plenty of ecommerce themes available. Additionally, if you also have a bricks-and-mortar store than a Point of Sale (POS) system for mobile credit card processing can be particularly desirable. Which e-commerce software is best for your business depends entirely on your specific requirements. If you're an online-only outfit, then POS integration won't be necessary, but you may get a lot of business from overseas, in which case foreign currency support would be a requirement. In this article, we’re going to highlight some of the best e-commerce platforms available right now, before moving on to consider other options you might want to explore in terms of creating your own e-commerce solution. Shopify is perhaps the most well known e-commerce platform available. It was set up in 2006 by founders Tobias Lütke, Daniel Weinand and Scott Lake who, as the story goes, felt that there wasn't a simple-to-use e-commerce platform available and so built their own. The company claims that: "You don't need to have any technical or design experience to easily create a beautiful online store." According to Shopify, it's possible to get one of its online stores up-and-running within minutes. Users can choose from a wide range of templates, or they can design the look and feel of their store themselves. It accepts a comprehensive range of credit cards, has Level 1 PCI compliance and 256-bit SSL encryption for security, and it offers 24/7 support via phone, instant messaging or email. The platform provides a full CMS with which users can manage the functionality and layout of their online store. Users can manage their store on-the-go using Shopify's mobile apps, and the platform itself is fully responsive, meaning the store will be optimized for visitors regardless of whether they access it from a desktop computer or a mobile device. A live chat function is available which allows you to have a real time conversation with your customers. There's a built-in support for 3D models and video too. There's also an option to create customizable storefronts on Facebook and Instagram. One of the newer features is the store speed report. Shopify also offers users unlimited hosting for their stores, in-depth analytics of how visitors are using the store, and functionality for marketing such as SEO optimization, a discount and coupon engine, gift cards and email marketing tools. You can test out Shopify with a 14-day free trial. Bigcommerce was established in 2009 and promises to "support your business, not just your store." In August 2020, BigCommerce joined Nasdaq to become a public company. In addition to offering support via phone, instant chat and email, it also offers articles and videos to help with e-commerce, and access to a team of e-commerce experts who can provide advice and guidance about online selling. Their experts are qualified in both Google Analytics and Adwords. Like Shopify, Bigcommerce provides a variety of templates and themes to help stores look their best and get up-and-running quickly. Alternatively, users can design their own store or use Bigcommerce designers to do so. The platform incorporates a full-featured CMS that allows users to run an entire website, rather than just a store. Users can benefit from detailed and flexible product management, optimized search engine rankings, along with a variety of integrated marketing tools and analytics. Payments can be accepted via 40+ pre-integrated gateways and shipping details can be customized as per the business's requirements. As of late, some new features have been added like support for Amazon Import and Link and Shopping in Instagram Stories. The platform offers automated order processing, flexible tax rules depending on where orders are made and shipped, and support for multiple currencies. You can test out Bigcommerce with a 15-day free trial. Rather than being a standalone ecommerce platform, WooCommerce is a free plugin that can turn your Wordpress website into a fully functional ecommerce website. The basic WooCommerce plugin is easy to install through Wordpress, and even better is that the plugin is free to download and use. However, to get the most from WooCommerce you will need to install a number of third-party plugins. This is to add features such as payment processing, inventory management, and stock control. Major third-parties are supported, and you can take payments from a range of options, such as Paypal, Sagepay, and Stripe. There are also plugins for a number of integrations, such as for Mailchimp for email marketing and Xero for accounting. The ability to choose your own plugins means you can customize your ecommerce website exactly to your needs. although most addons have a cost they are relatively cheap, with each tending to cost a few dozen dollars. The result is the ability to build your own fully-functioning ecommerce website quickly, easily, and at a fraction of the cost of other ecommerce platforms. All in all this makes Woocommerce one of the best contenders for those looking to ease themselves into starting an online retail business, whether for physical products or even digital ones. CoreCommerce was set up in 2001 and focuses on providing e-commerce services to small and medium-sized businesses. The company places an emphasis on simplicity and transparency, promising that its platform is easy-to-use and that customers will not fall foul of any hidden charges. Perhaps CoreCommerce's most unique aspect is that all of its features are offered to all customers regardless of what plan they are on. Price plans are determined by the number of products, the number of email addresses, the amount of bandwidth and the amount of storage required by the user (and higher-end plans also benefit from additional support). As with other e-commerce providers, CoreCommerce offers functionality for store design, product management, order processing and marketing. Of its headline features, the platform offers unlimited product customization options, a built-in blogging engine, and secure hosting that is provided by Rackspace and comes with a 99.9% uptime guarantee. You can try CoreCommerce out with a 15-day free trial. Having been founded in 1997, 3dcart is the oldest of our featured providers here. It was set up with a view to incorporating as many of the most requested e-commerce features into one platform as possible. The company says it has six core values by which it operates: ongoing innovation, good service, simple solutions, fostering trust, keeping employees and customers happy, and stimulating prosperity amongst employees and customers. Some of the platform's innovative features include a module that users can install to offer gift-wrapping, a purchase order system, the option of running a loyalty program and the ability to offer recurring orders. Many of these features are very specific, meaning that stores can be highly tailored to the needs of each business. Stores can be designed using one of the many templates offered by 3dcart, or users can design their own store. A quick edit bar means that making changes to the design of a store is simple. Product images are fore-fronted with 3dcart's auto-zoom feature and products can be sold via Facebook with its store integration. As with some other platforms, users can blog directly from 3dcart and tools are provided for setting up coupons, sending newsletters and affiliate marketing. 3dcart is regularly updated and new features are constantly added, like the drag and drop HTML builder, built-in SEO stats, the home page editor or scheduled promotions. Users can also make use out of "make an offer" feature, which basically lets you and your customers to negotiate on a price. There is also a B2B quote system, which provides customers with a temporary quoted price after discussing their order via phone. In addition to its platform, 3dcart offers a number of professional services. Users can request help with SEO, PPC, shopping feed management, social media, Facebook ads and conversion consulting. Help can also be provided to ensure that a user's store is set up to the highest standard. Services such as site cloning, setting up custom tracking, data migration and training are offered. In addition, 3dcart can provide SSL certification. Hosting is guaranteed at 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support is provided via phone, email or online chat. You can test out the service with a 15-day free trial.

Jahnvi Kapoor’s affinity for ethnic clothes needs no introduction. She is often seen wearing pretty saris and lehengas. Of late, stylist Tanya Ghavri has been sharing a lot of throwback photos on Instagram, and also posted one featuring the Dhadak actor. And much like always, she looked gorgeous. In the throwback picture, Janhvi is seen wearing a blue Arpita Mehta lehenga. We dig the details, especially the dupatta with mirrorwork border. The actor completed the look with open hair, basic makeup, and matching earrings. The stylist also shared pictures of other actors, and the most notable one being of Kareena Kapoor Khan. In a series of photos, Queen K, as Ghavri referred to her, looked stunning in a classic Anamika Khanna lehenga. The colour and style of the flowy outfit stood out, along with the interesting print on the ensemble. The look was completed with hair tied in a neat hairdo and smokey eyes. Sharing the pictures, Ghavri wrote, “Using #ThrowbackThursday as the best excuse to reshare one of the most timeless pictures of Queen K!” adding “@kareenakapoorkhan – there is truly no one like you!”

Things to note: the Citroen AMI isn't technically a car at all. The new AMI is in fact a heavy quadricycle which means, in some European countries, you can drive it from as young as 14 and without a driving licence. But not in the UK. That might not matter because, unlike the Renault Twizy (and remember the G-Wiz?) this left-hand drive city runabout might not go on sale in the UK at all. If you want it brought here, you'll have to register your interest with Citroen. But either way it's a cool thing. It's very small, to comply with quadricycle regulations, and is only allowed a top speed of 28mph. It's electric, with a 5.5kWh battery and a stunning 8bhp. Yes, eight. No, that isn't a typo. Made in a new factory in Morocco, the Citroen AMI, developed from the even cuter AMI ONE concept, is intended for use around cities where it'll have a range of around 40 miles and has a charge time from a domestic socket of approximately three and a half hours. It has two seats, no opening boot, and costs £6000 or thereabouts in France, after a local clean-car rebate has been applied. And we've tried it in the UK. Join us for a test of one of the most novel 'cars' of 2020 right here.

Thermaltake, like many other computer hardware companies, has many facets and deals in multiple types of products. As a memory vendor, Thermaltake actually has a wide selection of offerings that include mainstream memory, RGB or gaming memory, and even liquid-cooled memory. The ToughRAM RGB series, in particular, is where you'll find Thermaltake's highest performers. The brand's latest accomplishment is a dual-channel ToughRAM RGB memory kit that comes in a capacity of 16GB (2x8GB) and an impressive data rate of DDR4-4600. The ToughRAM RGB memory modules feature a rectangular design with two triangular notches on the top. The brushed aluminum finish on the heat spreader and the two metal strips help give the memory a bit of class. PC builders will be happy to know that Thermaltake offers the ToughRAM RGB memory kits in both black and white colors, so it shouldn't be hard to find one that fits your builds' theme. With a height of 48.25mm (1.9 inches), the ToughRAM RGB isn't obnoxiously tall, but we recommend you check that there is sufficient clearance space under your CPU cooler nonetheless. The memory module comes with an RGB light bar with 10 addressable LEDs that you can tweak to your heart's content. Thermaltake provides the TT RGB Plus software to control the ToughRAM RGB's illumination. If you prefer third-party software, the memory modules are compatible with Razer Chroma, Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome Sync. The ToughRAM RGB memory kit is comprised of two 8GB single-rank memory modules. Thermaltake manufactures the memory modules on a black, 10-layer PCB, utilizing Hynix H5AN8G8NDJR-XNC (D-die) integrated circuits (ICs). Our Intel test system consists of an Intel Core i9-10900K and Asus ROG Maximus XII Apex on the 0901 firmware. On the opposite end, the AMD testbed leverages an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and ASRock B550 Taichi with the 1.30 firmware. The MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Gaming Trio handles the graphical duties on both platforms. The ToughRAM RGB kit performed better than expected on the Intel platform. The memory kit was only second in CPU and gaming performance to Patriot's Viper 4 Blackout DDR4-4400 C18 memory kit. The memory kit will only reach its full potential on a Ryzen processor that can run an Infinity Fabric clock (FCLK) up to 2,300 MHz. Some of the more spectacular Ryzen 5000 (Vermeer) samples and Ryzen 4000 (Renoir) APUs could probably achieve this feat. On our Ryzen 5 3600, however, the 1:2 ratio really held back the memory kit. High-frequency kits, such as this ToughRAM RGB, typically don't have a lot of headroom for overclocking. Even with a 1.56V DRAM voltage, we could only get the memory kit to DDR4-4666, a mere 66 MHz increase over the XMP specification. We also had to loosen the timings to 20-26-26-45 to achieve stability. With Hynix D-die ICs, it's hard to get the timings really tight. By upping the DRAM voltage from 1.5V to 1.55V, the memory modules can run with a CAS Latency of 18 at DDR4-4600. However, the tRCD, tRP, and tRAS timings wouldn't budge below 24-24-44. Thermaltake's ToughRAM RGB DDR4-4600 C19 memory kit isn't aimed at your typical computer user. Given its high frequency, plug-and-play operation is likely out of the question unless you have an outstanding processor with a pretty strong integrated memory controller (IMC). If not, the odds are that some manual finetuning will be required to get this memory stable on both Intel and AMD platforms. If you're the set-it-and-forget-it type, you should look for more modest frequencies, such as a DDR4-3800 or DDR-3600 kit with really tight timings. Therefore, the ToughRAM RGB appeals more to the hardcore enthusiasts or consumers who deal with workloads that favor high memory bandwidth. There's not much demand for really fast memory kits – the number of DDR4-4600 offerings on the market is around two handfuls, of which half of them aren't even in stock. With a retail price of $199.99, the ToughRAM RGB DDR4-4600 C19 is presently the cheapest DDR4-4600 memory in a 16GB (2x8GB) configuration, making it extra attractive for consumers that want a kit of this caliber.

Microsoft has added a new built-in command line tool called DiskUsage to Insider builds of Windows 10 that reports how much disk space folders use. As first reported by BleepingComputer, the news outlet discovered the new utility when testing Windows Insider builds 20277 and 21277. DiskUsage is capable of scanning entire drives or specified folders and reporting how much drive space each folder is using. The utility is located in System 32 and is still in the early stages of development. Currently some features are now working as expected and there are even some spelling errors in the the DiskUsage's instructions. We've put together a list of the best business computers around These are the best business laptops on the market Also check out our roundup of the best mobile workstations Still though, admins may find it useful to analyze disk space from terminal windows though most Windows users will likely continue using po[CENSORED]r tools such as WizTree or TreeSize. DiskUsage As DiskUsage is still in development by Microsoft, the tool currently reports file and folder sizes in bytes as opposed to doing so in megabytes or gigabytes. However, the software giant has included a /h argument to display file and folder sizes in a more conventional way. It's also worth noting that DiskUsage requires administrative privileges so Windows Insiders that want to test it out for themselves will need to open an elevated command prompt in Windows 10 before running the tool or else it will display an error. The tool can be used for general disk space scans but users can also configure it to say, display all of the folders on a drive that are larger that 1GB in size. DiskUsage also includes other features such as creating configuration files with the options you want to use automatically, output customization and the ability to skip over certain folders depending on their type. We'll likely hear more about DiskUsage from Microsoft itself once the company is ready to ship the tool in an upcoming Windows 10 release. For now though, Windows Insiders running builds 20277 and 21277 can begin experimenting with it. We've also highlighted the best workstations

Honda has confirmed it will recall nearly 78,000 UK examples of the CR-V as part of a wider global recall to fix an electrical short circuit risk. In a statement sent to Autocar, Honda UK admits 77,836 examples of the SUV, built at the firm’s Swindon factory between 2002 and 2006, are affected by the recall. The issue has stemmed from an early recall in 2012 to “prevent liquid exposure to the inside” of the power window master switch (PWMS). The original fix saw Butyl tape applied to the switch, but Honda now admits “a gap could exist between the applied Butyl tape and PWMS case” which could allow liquid to accumulate and then enter the switch. “Once liquid enters into the PWMS a short circuit could occur,” the statement reads. “After that there is a possibility that migration advances and heat is generated causing the PWMS to melt and expand, this could then lead to the PWMS and adjacent parts to overheat, smoke, and in worst case catch fire.” Owners of all affected CR-Vs will be contacted by letter and work will be completed by an authorised Honda dealer or repairer free of charge. The UK recall is part of a much larger programme of fixes announced yesterday in the U.S. Over there 1.4 million cars will be recalled in four separate campaigns involving issues such as body control module malfunctions and corroding drive shafts.
