To say the NVIDIA CMP Series has been met with great enthusiasm would likely be a misguided statement for the gaming community. But in an effort to separate gamers and miners for access to graphics cards NVIDIA recently announced their CMP or Crypto Mining Processor add-in cards to target hash happy miners. They didn't go very far into details but many were quick to assume these were more Ampere based graphic cards and would be sucking the life from the gaming silicon. But, thanks to Videocardz catch we find that at least for the CMP 30HX and 40HX it won't be the case. When the cards were first announced I had my suspicions on what cores they would be used by simply comparing existing cards stock hash rate and the memory capacity. My original thoughts on the 30HX and 40HX were that the 30HX would be based on the RTX 2060 TU106 core because that's about where it hits on the hash rate, but I failed to consider the GTX 1660 SUPER and it having the same memory configuration, but it checked out. The 2060 Super and 2070 both lands about the same hash rate and power draw so that was a fairly easy assumption and according to the 461.72 it appears to ring pretty true Based on the details from the driver string here we can see that the CMP 30HX is based on the TU116 like the GTX 1660 SUPER and the CMP 40HX is based on the RTX 2060 SUPER. If these cards turn out to be as tunable as their GeForce counterparts we can expect the 30HX to hit right around 30MH/s at 85-90w and the 40HX to land between 40-42MH/s at around 125w, both figures make it much more attractive than the rated speeds and power consumption. But of course, price and availability speak volumes. While it's good to see these two taking advantage of older 12nm Turning dies that can be made on a less constrained node they'll still need VRAM modules to function and we can basically chalk up the CMP 50HX and 90HX being Ampere based GA102 cores, but most likely with either massive defects for GeForce purposes or the Tensor/RT Cores either not used or no good. Only time will tell.

If you’ve always wondered what the 3D Objects folder is for in Windows 10, you’ll soon never have to see it again, as Microsoft is finally getting rid of it. A few years ago, 3D seemed to be all the rage, and Microsoft littered Windows 10 with all sorts of 3D apps and features, such as Paint 3D, and adding 3D effects to the Photos app. We show you how to use Windows 10 How to upgrade to Windows 10 for free These are the best laptops for students However, Microsoft’s enthusiasm for all things 3D wasn’t reciprocated by its users, and the company has been quietly removing them from Windows 10. However, the 3D Objects folder, once used by these unloved features, stubbornly remained. Not only was it useless, it’s hard to ignore as well. Whenever you open up File Explorer, you’re greeted with a shortcut to it. It also appears in the Quick Access bar I

As an innovative pioneer in the renewable energy industry, BLUETTI established its name in the off-grid power world with cutting edge, reliable power station product lineups. In addition to medium and small size portable power stations, they are also dedicated to research and development of high-power, large-capacity solar battery storage products. In July 2020, Bluetti made the initial move to replace traditional gasoline generators with their ground breaking AC200. The AC200 features a 2000 watt rated inverter with 1700 watt hour battery capacity, a large array of outlets (including a ground breaking 25 amp 12 volt outlet) and up to 700W solar input with advanced built-in MPPT controller. The AC200 raised over US$6.8M on Indiegogo and changed the game in the portable power market immediately upon its release. Upon crowdfunding completion, a follow up retail product the AC200P, with increased battery cycle life and LiFePO4 chemistry kept the legacy of AC200 while adding product improvement. The AC200P is loved by van-lifers, campers and RV travelers and people, those who are subject to frequent power outages. The AC200P has also been well received by those who want an integrated all in one solution to short or long term emergencies that result in the need for continued power supply for their homes. 6 months later, the BLUETTI Team is back with a brand new, finely engineered and crafted product with ground breaking capacity: The EP500 The EP500 contains a massive 5100 watt hour LiFePO4 battery pack that has more than 6000 charge cycles. The AC inverter is rated for 2000 watts of continuous output power with a surge capacity of 4800 watts. This inverter appears to be the same high quality and reliable unit being used on the highly successful AC200P. The EP500’s elegant, minimalist design with massive capacity reminds us of the first-generation of Tesla’s Powerwall. With the four smooth rolling transport wheels, the EP500 is not meant to be large solar battery mounted on the wall or garage. The BLUETTI EP500 is designed to be a” no Installation needed”, plug and play product that can easily be moved to the desired location when needed. Whether you use it as a seamless UPS home backup, or as an off-grid emergency power supply, all that is required is a press of the power button followed by activating the AC/DC switches and connecting the appliance(s) you want to power. Compared to the long installation lead times of energy giants like Tesla or Sonnen, which take months or more than a year to make an appointment to install, the no-installation-needed BLUETTI EP500 is a game-changer in the large capacity solar battery market. The rated AC inverter output power of 2000 continuous watts is high, but certainly not enough to power all of your electrical appliances. As an emergency energy storage power for the whole family, Bluetti has an option to double the AC output. For higher power loads, Bluetti is releasing its own “Fusion Panel terminal board”. With this accessory board, users can connect two EP500s in series, to double the rated 4000 watt power output. The Fusion board will also will also offer the option of 220/240 volt output to power 220 volt appliances. The high power output means you can now run your home air conditioner, clothes dryer, in-wall Electric Heater and other high power appliances with ease. No need to worry about power outages on a hot summer nights or cold, bitter winters anymore. To monitor and operate remotely, the BLUETTI EP500 now supports remote App With their exclusive B-Lynk connection technology, you can easily monitor your EP500’s status and adjust settings it whether it is near you or a thousand miles away. No more having to walk to a unit to determine remaining battery or inverter capacity. Equipped with the highest-capacity battery pack ever in the BLUETTI lineup, the EP500 also features powerful solar charging capability with up to 1200 watts input through its built in MPPT input. With prime sunlight, it takes only 5 hours to fully charge with solar input alone. The EP500 can be also charged at 600 watts input through and AC wall outlets. A built-in AC adapter is included so you can charge it with only a single AC power cable without needing a separate heavy power brick. Still want faster charging? This class leading unit can be recharged at up to 1800 watts (1200W+600W) by using the two input ports simultaneously. Charging using both ports at the same time results in fully charged batteries in only 3 hours. Last, but not least, except for the detailed specs and a explanation of new functions, there are two more questions that many people will be concerned about: How long can I operate my items and how does the after-sales services function for the BLUETTI products? According to official information released, the EP500 is shipped with BLUETTI's exclusive customized, long life LiFePO4 battery cells. The self-developed battery management system including the battery pack has a maximum 6000+ charge cycles. According to the average household electricity consumption of 3kWh per day, the BLUETTI EP500 can achieve up to 40 years of theoretical service life without using any grid energy! In addition, BLUETTI also provides a 5-year warranty and lifetime technical support for this market leading EP500. From what we can tell with current consumers’ feedback, BLUETTI is trustworthy in terms of after-sales service and support. The pre-order for EP500 will begin on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter at 6:00 AM PDT, March 15th. It is estimated that the price for super early bird perks will be lower than $3000.

Following up on our previous post in which we confirmed that Intel will be launching its 11th Gen Rocket Lake lineup in March, we have received more information from our sources who point out that the Rocket Lake CPUs will go up on pre-order even before the reviews hit the web. Intel Rocket Lake 11th Gen Core Family To Be Officially Unveiled on 16th March, Sales/Review Embargo Ends on 30th March The information we have received consists of two different NDAs for Intel's 11th Gen Rocket Lake Desktop CPU family. So far, Intel has just teased its Rocket Lake lineup and hasn't made a formal introduction. We only got to see the features of the flagship model, the Core i9-11900K, and some information about the Cypress Cove architecture offering double-digit gains. Since then, we have seen multiple leaks and even full-reviews published ahead of the launch. So for Intel's Rocket Lake CPU family, we are first going to get a proper announcement on the 16th of March at 8 AM (Pacific Time). On this date, Intel will allow the press to disclose full information regarding its 11th Gen family which would include CPU information, specs, and prices. Intel will also open up pre-orders for its 11th Gen family on the same day, allowing partners and retailers to start advertising the chips officially. However, what's interesting is that you won't get any reviews for the said chips until two weeks later. The review and sales NDA ends on the 30th of March at 6 AM (Pacific Time). So for those who will be pre-ordering the chips, you would only have leaked performance numbers to base your purchase decisions upon. Also, you will have to wait two weeks before you can get your processor. The reason why Intel is delaying reviews and sales of the 11th Gen Intel Rocket Lake lineup is said to be due to the new microcode update. As of now and from what we have already seen in various leaks, the gaming performance of the CPUs is similar to the 10th Gen lineup despite synthetic CPU benchmarks showing huge single-threaded performance gains. Motherboard makers are working with Intel to deliver the new BIOS with the updated microcode before mid-March so to make the launch trouble-free, Intel will be delaying their lineup till the end of March. It still doesn't make any sense as to why they would open pre-orders up so early. Surely, having no reviews when the pre-orders go live is going to sway away potential buyers but considering that many people have been waiting to buy these chips for a while now, the initial stock of the chips is going to run dry pretty quick. Expect to see more information on the processors in the coming weeks along with pricing updates on when and where you can buy these chips for your 400 and 500-series motherboards.

Those Microsoft 365 users that face long periods without internet access will no longer have to worry about their licensing tokens being revoked after the company revealed a change in policy regarding offline access. The change will prove hugely beneficial for field workers and other remote desktop workers that might have to go without reliable internet access for weeks at a time. Previously, 365 apps required a user to connect to the internet at least once every 30 days or the device’s licensing token would not be renewed and the app in question would provide reduced functionality. However, this timeframe can be challenging for some industries, leading Microsoft into a rethink. Check out our Windows 10 review here We've built a list of the best business laptops on the market Also, these are the best business computers available now “We’re aware that in industries, including government, oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, and scientific research, some people work in secure or remote environments where they have limited or no internet connectivity for longer periods of time,” a Microsoft blog post explained. “To address this, we’re now providing extended offline access* to enable devices to stay activated without connecting to the internet for up to 180 days.”
