  1. It is nearly impossible to overstate the enthusiasm for deep-learning-based AI among most of the computer science community and big chunks of the tech industry. Talk to nearly any CS professor and you get an overwhelming sense that just about every problem can now be solved, and every task automated. One even quipped, “The only thing we need to know is which job you want us to eliminate next.” Clearly there is a lot of hubris baked-in to these attitudes. But with the rapid advances in self-driving vehicles, warehouse robots, diagnostic assistants, and speech and facial recognition, there is certainly plenty of reason for computer scientists to get cocky. And no one is better at being cocky than Nvidia CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang. On stage, he is always something of a breathless whirlwind, and as he recapped the recent, largely Nvidia-powered, advances in AI, and what they portend for the [CENSORED]ure, it reminded me of a late-night infomercial, or perhaps Steve Jobs revealing one more thing. In this case, though, Nvidia has a lot more than one thing up its sleeve. It is continuing to push forward with its AI-focused hardware, software, and solutions offerings, many of which were either announced or showcased at this year’s GTC. Nvidia’s AI hardware lineup: Tesla P100 GPU and DGX-1 Supercomputer join the M40 and M4 For anyone who still thinks of Nvidia as a consumer graphcis card company, the DGX-1 should put that idea to rest. A $129,000 supercomputer with 8 tightly-coupled state-of-the-art Pascal-architecture GPUs, it is nearly 10 times faster at supervised learning than Nvidia’s flagship unit a year ago. For those who want something a little less cutting edge, and a lot less expensive, Nvidia offers the M40 for high-end training, and the M4 for high-performance and low-power AI runtimes. Nvidia’s AI developer tools: ComputeWorks, Deep Learning SDK, and cuDNN 5 Nvidia has supported AI, and especially neural net, developers for a while with its Deep Learning SDK. At GTC Nvidia announced version 5 of it neural network libraries (cuDNN). In addition to supporting the new Tesla P100 GPU, the new version promises faster performance and reduced memory usage. It also adds support for Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), which are particularly useful for applications that work with time series data (like audio and video signals — speech recognition, for example). CuDNN isn’t a competitor to the big neural net developer tools. Instead, it serves as a base layer for accelerated implementations of po[CENSORED]r tools like Google TensorFlow, UC Berkeley’s Caffe, University of Montreal’s Theano, and NYU’s Torch. However, Nvidia does have its own neural net runtime offering, Nvidia GPU Inference Engine (GIE). Nvidia claims over 20 images per second, per watt for GIE running on either a Tesla M4 or Jetson Tx1. CuDNN 5, GIE, and the updated Deep Learning SDK are all being made available as part of an update to Nvidia’s ComputeWorks. TensorFlow in particular got a big shout-out from Huang during his keynote. He applauded that it was open source (like several of the other tools are) and was helping “democratize AI.” Because the source is accessible, Nvidia was able to adapt a version for the DGX-1, which he and Google’s TensorFlow lead Rajat Monga showed running (well, showed a monitor session logged into a server someplace that was running it). The always-fascinating poster session in the GTC lobby featured literally dozens of different research efforts based on using Nvidia GPUs and one of these deep-learning engines to crack some major scientific problem. Even the winner of the ever-po[CENSORED]r Early Stage Companies contest was a deep-learning application: Startup Sadako is teaching a robot how to learn to identify and sort recyclable items in a waste stream using a learning network. Another crowd favorite at the event, BriSky, is a drone company, but relies on deep learning to program its drones to automatically perform complex tasks such as inspections and monitoring. JetPack lets you build things that use all that great AI Programming a problem-solving neural network is one thing, but for many applications the final product is a physical vehicle, machine or robot. Nvidia’s JetPack SDK — the power behind the Jetson TX1 developer kit — provides not just a Ubuntu-hosted development toolchain, but libraries for integrating computer vision (Nvidia VisionWorks and OpenCV4Tegra), as well as Nvidia GameWorks, cuDNN, and CUDA. Nvidia itself was showcasing some of the cool projects that the combination of the JetPack SDK and Jetson TX1 developer kit have made possible, including an autonomous scaled-down race car and autonomous (full-size) 3-wheeled personal transport vehicle, both based on work done at MIT. How Neural Networks and GPUs are pushing the boundaries of what computers can do Huang also pointed to other current examples of how deep learning — made possible by advances in algorithms and increasingly powerful GPUs — is changing our perception of what computers can do. Berkeley’s Brett robot, for example, can learn tasks like putting clothes away, assembling a model, or screwing a cap on a water bottle by simple trial and error — without explicit programming. Similarly, Microsoft’s image recognition system has achieved much higher accuracy than the human benchmark that was the gold standard until as recently as last year. And of course, AlphaGo’s mastery of one of the most mathematically complex board games has generated quite a bit of publicity, even among people who don’t typically follow AI or play Go. Has Nvidia really created a super-human? It thinks so In line with its chin-out approach to new technologies, massive banners all over the GTC proclaimed that Nvidia’s AI software learned to be a better driver than a human in “hours.” I assume they are referring to the 3,000 miles of training that Nvidia’s DAVENET neural network received before it was used to create the demo video we were shown. The statement reeks of hyperbole, of course, since we didn’t see DAVENET do anything especially exciting, or avoid any truly dangerous situations, or display any particular gift. But it was shown navigating a variety of on and off road routes. If it was truly trained to do that by letting it drive 3,000 miles (over the course of 6 months according to the video), that is an amazing accomplishment. I’m sure it is only a taste of things to come, and Nvidia plans to be at the center of them.
  2. For decades, computer chips became smaller and more efficient by shrinking the size of various features and finding ways to pack more transistors into a smaller area of silicon. As die shrinks have become more difficult, companies have turned to 3D die stacking and technologies like HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) to improve performance. We’ve talked a great deal about HBM and HBM2 in the past few years, but photographic evidence of the die savings is a bit harder to come by. SK Hynix helpfully had some HBM memory on display at GTC this year, and Tweaktown caught photographic evidence of 8Gb of GDDR5 compared with a 1 GB HBM stack and a 4GB HBM2 stack. The one quibble I have with the Hynix display is that the labeling mixes GB and Gb. The HBM2 package is significantly larger than the HBM1 chip, but still much smaller than the 8Gb of GDDR5, despite packing 4x more memory into its diminutive form factor. We don’t expect HBM2 to hit market until the tail end of this year and the beginning of next; GDDR5 is expected to have one last hurrah with the launch of AMD’s Polaris this year. These space savings, however, illustrate why both AMD and NV are moving to HBM2 at the high end. Smaller dies mean smaller GPUs with higher memory densities for both consumer, professional, and scientific applications. Technologies like GDDR5X, which rely on 2D planar silicon, can’t compete with the capacity advantage of layering multiple chips on top of each other and connecting them with TSVs (through silicon vias). GDDR5 will continue to be used for budget and midrange cards this generation, but HBM2 will likely replace it over the long term as prices fall, lower-end cards require more VRAM, and manufacturer yields improve. Over the long term, though, even HBM2 isn’t enough to feed the needs of next-generation exascale systems. The slide above is from an Nvidia presentation on high performance computing (HPC) and the energy requirements of DRAM subsystems. Shifting to HBM drives a significant improvement in I/O power and an absolute improvement in total power consumption for the DRAM subsystem. HBM2 draws less power to provide 1TB/s of bandwidth than GDDR5 used to prove 200GB/s. Unfortunately, straightforward scaling of the HBM2 interface won’t prevent [CENSORED]ure memory standards from exceeding GDDR5 power requirements. Long-term, additional improvements and process node shrinks are still necessary — even if die-stacking has replaced planar silicon die shrinks as the primary performance driver.
  3. BioWare founder Greg Zeschuk has provided his comment upon the Xbox One.5 and PlayStation 4K rumors, saying hardware upgrades are not going to work or at least they are “bad” for the entire development environment. Basically, according to Zeschuk, developers always took advantage from the fact consoles have fixed and unique hardware in comparison with PC, where tech guys have to work with sliders and different configurations to make the games work on the highest amount of machines possible. "I just think it's bad," he said. "I think, 'lock it' and let developers do their thing. But at the end of the day, if you can focus your development effort on one set of hardware requirements and target, you are going to get a better result. It's easier than having to split it, adding more people, having to port things across." "It's like dipping your toe back into the PC pool where you have to consider all these things. It was nice on console not having to consider like performance sliders. But it's just crazy. I guess maybe [Microsoft and Sony] feel the need to." "I'd say that'd be a gigantic pain in the ass that flies in the face of the purpose of consoles," he said. "It's funny, there's actually some stories behind that. For example, the original Xbox...Microsoft actually had multiple different DVD drives. They didn't tell anyone that, but as a developer you discovered that you have different performance and sometimes you'd have these boxes of refurbished drives and different brands and different equipment. It caused incredible variability."
  4. battle open for a long time ! TOXIC V2 winner note : if am wrong send me pm !
  5. The fact we're exclusively looking at better graphics when it comes to PlayStation 4.5 rumors states on its own a couple things we should be aware about. First: we're generally satisfied with the outcome of current console for whatever we could take into account apart from graphics. Second: we don't like how graphics are in comparison with the most powerful platform out there, PC, and are looking into something more. Well, the second point is actually pretty easy to understand, and this has basically happened to every generation of consoles we look at. The thing that should make us think about the quality of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in terms of power is we're just three years (a bit less) away from their launch – this is something we usually get into after five, six years of playing those consoles' games. So, it is clear something went wrong when it came to define people's tastes in relation with "new console". The idea itself of what was "new" got misinterpreted by Sony and Microsoft, who thought, especially the latter, gamers would have bought another console even though it didn't represent a high end hardware for at least the foreseeable [CENSORED]ure. Is this anything we can criticize platform holders about? Well, honestly, when I looked at PS4 and Xbox One's specs at their announces, I thought those were pretty powerful consoles. I mean, they got equipped with 8GB RAM and, at the time, I was writing down stuff on a 4GB Apple Macbook. That system wasn't meant to allow me to play high end games but, you know, that's double the RAM I had at my disposal back in 2013. The problem here is we are used to compare PC and consoles when it comes to gaming and to defining what's good in graphics. That's an habit we have since the early PSone days, when a console was built for gaming and, for that purpose, was better equipped than a personal computer. We still believe consoles should provide us with graphics better or at least on par with what PCs are capable of, which is not possible anymore. Personal computer's technology is evolving too fast and, unless gaming console don't manage to follow that evolution, the gap is not going to fill up anytime soon. The main question today is how platform holders can fill that gap up. Microsoft's Phil Spencer recently opened up at the idea we could get hardware upgrades for Xbox One, but that was a shy effort to see how people would react to that proposal, since he was pretty fast in getting back on his own steps and say the Redmond giant is not thinking about that for the short term [CENSORED]ure. Sony is rumored to be working behind the scene to a new model of PlayStation 4, the one we were talking about in the introduction to this article, which would be called PS4.5 or PS4K. But, again, how's that supposed to be working? Is it going to be a completely new PlayStation, with new games not to be supported by the older model? Is it going to be a new model with a higher resolution and slight technology advantages in comparison with – still compatible – regular PlayStation 4? Is there any plan for trade-ins? And so on. Those are all doubts only Sony can sort out, and it will probably do that at E3 2016. My question would be how they can even think to sell a 4K PlayStation without charging the hell out of us, considering which is the current cost for us to get a 4K personal computer, but surely I'm curious to hear more from them. As I said, there are a few things gamers would need Sony to implement in this brand new PlayStation or PlayStation 4, apart from graphics which are going to be defined by the relationship between hardware cost and hardware price at retail. The first thing I'm thinking about is sure enough a "new" DualShock 4, let's call it DualShock 4.5, with a new pair of analogue sticks since the current one really suck, and the chance to completely turn the lightbar off. Launching another PlayStation is the best occasion the Japanese platform holder will ever have to fix this. Letting people record more than 15-minute long clips right from their PlayStation would be another great addition, including a higher resolution to their videos. Now you can record your own play sessions but you can't upload more than 720p resolution videos, which is pretty decent but not great if you want to make sure your games are as brilliant as you see them on your TV. More addition would also include a higher number of USB ports. Currently, you only have two ports positioned on the front of the console, which is pretty unusual since Xbox One also have a port on the rear and former PlayStation consoles allowed players to use USB devices right from behind the power button. This is something we're pretty sure Sony would work upon, since PlayStation VR also requires a USB port to be free and up&running to connect its external unit. Uh and, yes, PlayStation 4.5 should also allow us to use PlayStation VR without that boring external unit. Sony has a history in making power charger internal, and PS4 isn't an exception in that, so why you shouldn't grab the occasion of offering that with PSVR as well? Maybe with a good looking re-design of the console itself, just like it has always happened with slim versions (PS3 had many of those…). Anyway, these are just a few of the suggestions that come to our mind as of now when we talk about PlayStation 4.5 while not simply discussing graphics. What else would you add to the lot? Let us know your best ideas in the comments below.
  6. According to the details shared by World of Tanks developer Wargaming creative director and executive producer TJ Wagner, by 2019, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One combined sales (worldwide) will be 108 million units, with PlayStation 4 leading the way with 69M units sold. These figures were first made public at Game Developers Conference presentation (slide) by TJ Wagner. Another slide from the presentation stated that currently there are 36 million PlayStation 4 user base, and just 19 million Xbox One. Please note, these figures came to Wargaming from different (but not the official) sources Superdata, IDG Consulting and IHS. So far we have received official word only from Sony on PlayStation 4 worldwide sales. In January 2016, Sony revealed that PlayStation 4 has sold nearly 36 Million units worldwide. On the other side, Microsoft has not yet a single word about Xbox One worldwide sales. According to reports from different analyst, PS4 has a 2:1 lead over Xbox One and so in January 2016, it was estimated that Xbox One sales are around 18 million mark. You can check out the full presentation of Wargaming GDC Presenta
  7. As it often happens, we have a few functionalities and improvements which haven't been announced by Sony when it comes to firmware 3.50 for PlayStation 4. Reddit and NeoGaf users were careful to details enough to make them public in the last couple of hours. Let's take a look at most of them in the list below, coming from Reddit: Unannounced Tweaks: You can disable the screenshot on-screen notification (in Settings under Notifications) allowing you to take multiple screenshots in a row without the screenshot taken popup. The sound indicating the screenshot was taken still functions as normal. Life From PlayStation Improvements: There's a search field on the game list now. Previously you had to use the "global" search, that'd return matches for everything (pre-recorded, videos, screenshots) and not just live streams. You can pin up to three games that will stay on the top of the list. I watch Bloodborne and DS2 streams all the time, now I don't have to scroll down every time to find them. You can set a party member limit now. From 2-8 people. Issue with early PS4s and >2TB HDDs has (probably) been fixed. (thread) Those who owned a Nyko databank and used a 4TB hard disk would have to turn off Rest Mode and keep the PS4 always on due to its inability to power off the external hard disk correctly. Not doing so would lead to corruption/start up errors. Moreover, from Kotaku: The way trophy screen shots are taken have been tweaked, according to NeoGAF user Andrefpvs. "Now even if you have trophy notifications disabled, the resulting screenshot will have the trophy notification superimposed on it," they wrote. "Also, the screenshot is now taken at the exact moment the trophy unlocks, and not at the moment the full notification appears (or would appear) on the screen. This generally results in screenshots being taken 1-2 seconds earlier than in previous firmwares." Tired of seeing the same folks on the "people you may know" section? You can remove them. NeoGAF user Ahjumbie noticed the change, though it's unclear how the widget will handle the influx of new people. Did you notice these changes before? And overall did you like the improvements coming with the Firmware 3.50 for PlayStation 4? Let us know in the comments below. Issue with early PS4s and >2TB HDDs has (probably) been fixed.
  8. Yesterday Sony released PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.50 worldwide. The firmware added some interesting features that PlayStation fans have been demanding for a very long time such as Remote Play feature support on PC and Mac and many others. Sadly, the launch of PS4 Firmware 3.50 was not as soon as everyone expected and PlayStation 4 owners experienced some nasty issues. In this post, I am going to discuss the bugs and issues PS4 owners experienced after installing firmware 3.50 and what are the ways to fix it. 1: Apple Headphone Mic Not Working: Many PlayStation 4 owners have reported on official PlayStation forums that their apple headphone (beats) mic worked fine before the update 3.50. Thankfully, a very weird but working fix is available to fix this issue, here is what you have to do: "Unplug and plug in your mic extremely fast, so fast that you're not even taking out the jack fully from your controller, and eventually, and after not very long, you'll be able to speak Sounds" Do let us know in the comment section below whether it worked for you or not. 2: HULU Not Working: For some PlayStation 4 owners, HULU is now working after installation of Firmware 3.50, they error message states that it is corrupted. Here is how you can fix this issue: go into system storage management and go into it and delete the data and not the app. A detailed step by step instructions is provided below: "Go to settings->application saved data->saved in system storage->delete-select hulu->delete" This will fix the HULU issue, but you will have to sign back into HULU. 3: Remote Play Worked Fine First On PC and Mac, When Relaunched It Goes To Black Screen: This is one of the widespread issue and sadly no fix has been discovered it. All I can say for this issue is wait for an official patch or hotfix from Sony. 4: How to set up PS4 Remote Play on Mac and PC Many PS4 owners are not aware of the complete procedure they need to follow to correctly set-up PS4 Remote Play on PC and Mac. If you are among one of these PS4 owners then check out our completePlayStation 4 To PC/Mac Remote Play Guide detailing how to set it up, what are the minimum requirements and many other things. List of issues with no fix yet: While Playing Videos In Media Player Green Color Line Appears On Top: After installing PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.50, most videos played in the Media Player have a color registration issue where the RED is lower and this results in a GREEN bar on top as seen in the screenshot below.
  9. Xbox Division Boss Phil Spencer has finally cleared his stance on the rumored Xbox One upgrade currently known by the term "Xbox 1.5". Speaking to our friend at GameInformer, Phil Spencer has stated that he is not a "big fan of Xbox One and a half" and if and when Microsoft decides to go forward then the moving forward will be in big numbers. He further added that Xbox One is currently performing well, better than expected in terms of performance, reliability and servers. Here is what the Phil Spencer exactly said in an interview to GameInformer : "I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we're going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers," Spencer said. "I don't know anything about any of the rumors that are out there, but I can understand other teams' motivations to do that. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people – an upgrade." It seems like Microsoft's Phil Spencer has a clear roadmap for Xbox Division i.e. how things will move forward under his leadership, a bold move to come up and quash all report and rumors related to possible Xbox One upgrade. On the other hands, rumors and report of PlayStation 4.5 (aka PlayStation 4K) is in full swing (multiple insider sources have confirmed its existence), and it is coming at the time where PlayStation 4 user base is crossed 40 million marks. In short a lot of confusion considering the fact that if PlayStation 4.5 rumors are true, how Sony is going to explain this sudden hardware upgrade to the 40 million PS4 user base.
  10. People are increasingly more disappointed by PlayStation Plus and the quality of free games offered by Instant Game Collection. After March's only top quality game was Broforce, an indie title indeed, it was clear Sony had to do something in order to face their criticism. Things have gone a little better this month. April's free titles for subscribers include Zombi, an AAA title or kind of, although digital and a remaster of a Wii U's former exclusive. Anyway I think this is what players want to see right now, games that make some sense when played and are not original ideas hidden behind 8bit graphics. A recent survey conducted by Reddit users (about 4,000 gamers) states only 23.1% of those who own a PlayStation console are satisfied with how Sony is sorting things out when it comes to PlayStation Plus – a percentage which is too low in comparison with previous months and years. The Japanese platform holder is losing traction and I even notice that while covering daily news: until a few months ago, PlayStation Plus free games' announcement was among the most awaited and ultimately read news, while today there's much less anticipation for that. How could Sony fix PlayStation Plus, then? Paradoxically, since they've started after Instant Game Collection, Microsoft is doing better with Games with Gold, and there's a lot to learn there. 1: Offer AAA Games Every Month Sony should definitely start to offer AAA titles every month. If you look at it a bit more carefully, you'll notice people won't care much about how old are those titles – they just look at the fact those games would require them to spend $30/40+ if not provided for free by platform holders. Lords of the Fallen is a recent example of that. So, why don't they offer Knack? Killzone: Shadow Fall? Launch titles would be a great fit and I know sooner or later this is going to happen. 2: Repeat Rocket League Huge Success Apart from launching AAA and launch titles, Sony needs to repeat the Rocket League huge success. They can do it by risking, providing a huge amount of trust to developers and carefully selecting them to be the ones to build up a true elite – the games releasing free with PlayStation Plus since day one. This is something Sony has been working on with indie developers – and it is offering a few games releasing free from the very first moment, too – but should ultimately extend to $3060 retail or digital titles. While I say this I think about Hellblade, which is a good example of the kind of productions I would include in this "program". 3: Enjoy Free Games When PS Plus Subscription Expires Let gamers enjoy their free titles also when the subscription is expired. If you offer them free games they don't care about and they still know those games don't legally belong to them, they'll just get mad at you the way like it's currently happening. By telling players they own the indie games you' offering them would instantly make them more interested. This is something Microsoft has adopted too while carrying Games With Gold on Xbox One, but the situation there is much different there, since people have been generally satisfied with games offered by the American platform holder for the last months. 4: Strong Discounted Steam-Like Sales PlayStation Plus was once the emblem of how you can get good value in gaming for a very low price. Now, I wouldn't ask Sony to offer free online multiplayer all over again with PlayStation 4, but Steamlike sales, with strong discounted on a fixed basis for those who own a subscription, could be a great solution to make that happen again. I don't feel current sales change anything yet. I want to see those "60%!!!" sales on consoles too and PlayStation could be the best place for this to happen, since the userbase is so big Sony would recover the amount lost on each sale by summing up all of the sales. And they would be paid for the subscription as well. 5: Great Classics To Instant Game Collection Program Add great classics to the Instant Game Collection monthly titles. I would just literally "add" them to the current offer, meaning that we would have PS4, PS3, PS Vita games and, after them, PlayStation classics like Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil and more. That wouldn't be an expensive move on Sony's hand and more importantly they would carry over the nostalgic users, which are a lot and usually are opinion leader. Making them happy could mean make many Internet users happy as well, and that could help changing PS Plus' public image now. These are our 5 top suggestions for Sony to get back to PlayStation Plus' origins, when the service was a fan favorite and free games offered by it set a new standard for competitors to try and achieve. Don't forget to share yours in the comments below and, by the way, don't forget you could just don't renew your subscription if you don't like those free games or simply consider them a bonus/something you could discover and fall in love with even though you don't know what the heck it is.
  11. +2 am new at the game downloading ...............
  12. What about PlayStation Plus' Instant Game Collection and Xbox Live's Games With Gold in April? Well, the month looks generally pretty good for both PlayStation and Xbox supporters, almost like we're entering a particularly hot season for platform holders and they're willing to convince us that their efforts in caring about gamers are genuine. Looking at what they're offering this month, it seems like Sony is starting to understand people's demand is not exclusively based on original and pretty indie games but also, especially on triple-A titles (although still digital). Microsoft, on the other hand, keeps running the blockbuster road and after Lords of the Fallen offers another AAA action-adventure game Xbox fans will fall in love with. But, you know, they're the underdog now. Dead Star (PS4) This is a pretty interesting title coming from Armature Studio. Dead Star is a twin stick shooter for PlayStation 4 and PC, featuring level ups, loot, team-based space combat (up to 10v10), spaceship customization, live multiplayer matches invasion and more. The most interesting thing in my opinion is the battlefield procedural creation, meaning that each map will be different (in terms of what's included in it at least) from another since it is being created as soon as you start your session. It is an indie game, you might say, and it'd be fine, but this one seems like one you should give a try. Zombi (PS4) We all know Zombi, now, after a luckluster debut on Wii U and a re-launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One a few months ago. While the game is basically a remaster, it must be noted it only launched in August and this means Sony is offering a pretty recent product coming from an established AAA publisher. It is not as expensive as an Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty game, ok, but this is a good signal coming from Sony, stating "we got the message, guys": from now on we hope to only see things going better and better when it comes to blockbuster titles being delivered for free to PlayStation Plus customers. Oh and, if you like permadeath and zombies, you will love it. Other PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection's April titles include I Am Alive, a digital post-apocalyptic survival game from Ubisoft (again) where you need to avoid a dangerous fog and scavenge for resources, and Savage Moon for PS3. PlayStation Vita owners don't look as lucky as the PS4 and PS3 ones, since they only get A Virus Named Tom and Shutshimi (a pretty neat shmup to be honest), which are all but po[CENSORED]r nowadays. Talking about Games With Gold, Microsoft is working pretty good lately, engaging Xbox Live supporters and subscribers with at least one blockbuster games per month. Now we even have two very interesting titles for everyone owning a monthly pass to the online gaming platform. The Wolf Among Us (1-15 April) The Wolf Among Us is one of the most inspired Telltale Games episodic series, based on the Fables license and inspired to its unusually noir world of fairy tales and beasts. It has a great cast of characters and, despite lacking a bit of quality and surprise in the final episodes, a good story you will surely enjoy if you love this developer. In terms of offer, Microsoft still showcases that, differently from Sony and PlayStation Plus, it prefers to have Games with Gold filled with good and pretty important games rather than new or recent ones. The Wolf Among Us first episode released, in fact, in 2013 with the full series arriving on Xbox One in November 2014. Sunset Overdrive (15-30 April) One of the most surprising and underrated Xbox One exclusive, which has not released (yet!) on Windows PC, Sunset Overdrive was developed by Ratchet & Clank and Resistance creators at Insomniac Games, and launched for Microsoft's console on October 28, 2014. It is a brilliant game don't matter the perspective you are looking at it from: colors are brilliant, making it a very eye-satisfying experience; gameplay is brilliant and pretty unique, recalling memories from the Jet Set and SEGA Dreamcast era. Again, it is a pretty old game in comparison with what Microsoft could offer to its subscribers but we're not talking about an Xbox One launch title, something PlayStation 4 owners would like to have at least in their Instant Game Collection for once… so we'll take it for good and enjoy it until it's free. Xbox 360 titles include Dead Space (1-15 April) and Saints Row IV (16-30 April), both backwards compatible from now on for Xbox One users to enjoy on their brand new consoles. Saints Row IV also has an Xbox One remaster so it is a bit awkward to see it being released for free on that platform…
  13. Like games now there are reports that PlayStation 4 is also getting a re-release titled as PlayStation 4.5. The report first appeared from sources at Kotaku and then Eurogamer's Digital Foundry confirmed those rumors from their sources. Today, we received some more information related to PlayStation 4.5: Release Date and Price. According to the details received by YouTube Channel The Know, PlayStation 4.5 is indeed real, release in Holiday Season 2016 and price is $400 (tentative and possibly could change). You can check out the full report in the video footage below. If Holiday 2016 release date turns out to be true then expect an official announcement from Sony at E3 2016. How many of you support Sony's decision to release and upgrade PlayStation 4 model? Share your opinion with us in the comment section below.
  14. Finally, a major leak related to PlayStation 4K (also known as PlayStation 4.5) has been posted on po[CENSORED]r gaming forum Neogaf. OsirisBlack from Neogaf posted the ton of interesting information about PlayStation 4.5 and he claims to get access to the information from the meeting held yesterday with top executives of Sony. Please note, Neogaf moderators do not allow random rumors, they first verify user's sources and once satisfied with their cross-checking that the user is someone who would have access to the information they allow to post the information. But we still want our readers to take the leaked information with a grain of salt and consider it as rumor only. According to the details received by OsirisBlack, PlayStation 4.5's GPU is twice as powerful as standard PlayStation 4 and much faster. No figure was revealed as to how fast the GPU is but it was confirmed that it is running at a higher clock speed while being much smaller than the original. About the price, OsirisBlack stated that it is currently priced at $399 but if there is a better CPU than the price could go to $499.99. You can read all the leak information below: PS4.5 Price: The price is currently $399. There were discussions about including a better CPU, which would raise the price to $499, a price that is guaranteed to be the maximum amount one might have to pay for the upgraded console. There are currently no plans for a trade-in program for PlayStation 4 owners, but that could change. GPU and Blu-ray Player The GPU is twice as powerful as the current PlayStation 4 and much faster. It runs at higher clock speed and is much smaller than the original. It will have a 4K Blu-ray player and upscale games that are not 4K-native. (This is not to say that newer games will run 4K-native.) Dev Kits already available to developers: Developers already have development kits for the new PlayStation 4 and are making games that will directly target and take advantage of its higher specs. These games will work on the current PlayStation 4, but with considerable sacrifices made to performance. Current games will not receive any performance upgrades by being played on the newer system. Any upgrades that come would do so via game-specific patches released by developers. When asked if this was going to happen, the response was, “It’s a possibility but doubtful with the exception of a handful of games." Launch Games for PlayStation 4.5: Deep Down and something called as GOW4 (OsirisBlack predicted it to be God of War 4).
  15. Talking to Game Informer, Phil Spencer discussed a few of the things Microsoft has been quietly introducing and detailing in the last few months. Windows PC and Xbox One cross-platform play is a reality nowadays but people are still struggling to understand how Microsoft will handle it. This is what Spencer said about the ongoing challenge between keyboard & mouse and Xbox One controllers. "I want to be clear on this one – I will never force someone in our games, who is playing with controller or mouse and keyboard, to play against somebody with a different control scheme. Mouse and keyboard rotation speed is faster than controller. We know that. You will lose. I shipped Shadowrun. I was part of that. But, as a platform, I want to enable players to make the choices they want to make. If you and I are playing a co-op game together […] there's no reason you and I can't go through a [Destiny] Strike, for example, you on mouse and keyboard, me on controller playing together, and we should be able to talk to each other. I want to completely enable that scenario. But for people who think, I don't want to get destroyed because some guy drops in with mouse and keyboard and he's just running a rampage over every match because he's moving faster – we don't want to do that. This is about putting tools in the hands of smart creators to make decisions on when it makes sense and when it doesn't make sense." Recently, Epic Games' Tim Sweeney was pretty tough in talking about Windows 10 approach to gaming, in particular referring to the controversial Universal Windows Platform. Spencer discussed that with his usual display of fair play. "Tim and I are actually good friends and have been for some time, and still are. I basically sent Tim what I was going to say [at the Build keynote] and we've been going back and forth. He came out to Redmond to review our plans. Some of the specific things he wanted to see, we showed some [on stage] and then I talked about some. He wanted a public statement about Windows being an open development platform, and Terry Myerson [executive VP of the Windows and Devices group] said that right at the beginning. The side-load, Kevin Gallo [VP Windows developer platform] showed double-clicking an app exe on the desktop and installing a Universal Windows Application without store UI and that could have just as easily come from the web we just happened to launch it from the desktop itself, and we wanted to show that. And then I wanted to show taking the Steam package and wrapped it running as a modern desktop application to show we're not trying to lock out those apps and games from being able to use Steamworks or to be deployed in other stores, so we wanted to show that directly. It will be interesting to see what Tim says, because Tim's an important guy in the industry and someone I have immense respect for, and still do. I think he's great. The thing I love about Tim and you will know if you spend any time with him, is he comes from a virtuous place. He has a real principled view on how the games industry and frankly, overall Windows ecosystem, works, and I never worry that he is saying something for his own competitive reasons – it's just what Tim really believes. I'm not saying we always believe the same thing, but the motivations behind his beliefs have never been a question for me. I'll always listen to him."
  16. He further added that Xbox One is currently performing well, better than expected in terms of performance, reliability and Here is what the Phil Spencer exactly said in an interview to GameInformer: "I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. 17. It seems like the long pending demand of PlayStation fans of bringing the PlayStation 4 Remote Play feature to iOS and Android has been accepted by Sony and things will be rolling out soon (in few months time). A YouTube user Dustin Turner has posted a couple of new footage showing PlayStation App running on an iPhone and a Remote Play option available in the list. We have no confirmation yet whether this video is legit or someone faked it and YouTube user Dustin Turner is using it to his advantage. I am leaving it to you to decide. The first video below shows remote play icon being present in the iOS version of the PlayStation App. The second video shows Dustin Turner deleting the PlayStation App and then reinstalling it only to discover that the Remote Play icon is now longer available. This might just be a glitch or the complete video is fake, so take everything you see in the video with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement from Sony. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj3kQJetpco&feature=youtu.be
