  2. hello. I do not know your problem well as I understand you want ....... : config for Counter Strike 1.6 my rates(I don't even know if these are good, I've lost all hope of finding the perfect rates): rate 25000 cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 101 sys_ticrate 10000 cl_rate 20000 fps_max 101 developer 0 ex_interp 0.01 You can either use rinput.exe or use m_rawinput 1. They added raw input in an update about a year ago. Use whatever you're using for go, I guess. Yeah, buy binds work but slightly differently than go. just say the gun's name in console basically. so [bind f3 "m4a1"] You can buy a full set of ammo (or as much as you can afford) with primammo and secammo. So for me, to buy an ak/m4 I use: bind f3 "bind "F3" "m4a1; cv47; primammo" Oh that reminds me, some of the weapon names are slightly different, just google it though! For equipment, it's vest, vesthelm, defuser, flash, sgren, and hegren. Ok crosshairs don't have as much customization as go. You get to make it translucent; color options; size large, medium, or small; dynamic or static; or no crosshair at all. cl_crosshair_color "255 255 255" cl_crosshair_size "small" cl_crosshair_translucent "0" cl_dynamiccrosshair "0" crosshair 0 The trick to making the crosshair gap smaller, and the crosshair wider is to lower your resolution. Otherwise that's all the customization you get, really. others: _cl_autowepswitch "1" hud_fastswitch "1" cl_righthand "0" zoom_sensitvity_ratio 1

  4. We have come along a long way from the standard Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and cryptic error messages that plagued us during the Windows 95/98 and Windows 2000 / XP days. The error messages have become a bit more detailed over the years, but they can still be a bit nonsensical and difficult for your average Windows user to decipher. Fortunately, it looks as though Microsoft is looking to make things a bit more informative for us mere humans with the Windows 10 19H1 Update (which will reportedly be called the Windows 10 April 2019 Update). In the last Windows Insider webcast, Microsoft showed off how it will make things much simpler. As you can see in the image below, this is the message that users would currently see when trying to perform a major Windows 10 upgrade As you can see, the user is presented with a message telling them that an installed program is incompatible with the newer version of Windows 10, but there's a reference user would not understand or even know how to look up. In addition, the KB document is not hyperlinked, leaving many to probably scratch their head. On top of that, the only actions that the user can do is go Back or hit Refresh - and sitting Refresh is just a fruitless endeavor. There's no option to quickly and easily address the underlying problem: the need to uninstall the program Microsofts update dialog box in the Windows 10 April 2019 Update (19H1) - Click to Enlarge With the Windows 10 April 2019 Update, the KB article tied to the error message will be accessible with a "Learn More" hyperlink. That way, users will be able to read up more on what's causing the problem. Secondly, Microsoft is providing additional actions that the user can perform. Now, the user will be given the option to uninstall the app straight from the error dialog box, or upgrade the software to a newer, compatible version [if available]. It's a small change, but one that provides a much cleaner interface for the user while being informative at the same time. According to Microsoft, it will also allow app providers to directly contribute details regarding what options / updates are available to consumers, which will be displayed in the dialog box. Microsoft is far along in development of the Windows 10 April 2019 Update and has been pushing out new builds at a steady clip to Windows Insiders. In fact, the company just recently opened up its Skip Ahead feature for Windows Insiders which will allow them to start testing the Windows 10 19H2 Update
  5. Four soldiers have been killed in Indian-administrated Kashmir in a gun battle with militants, police say. The clash occurred in Pulwama district, where more than 40 Indian paramilitary police were killed in a suicide attack on Thursday. A civil was also killed in the shootout as Indian troops launched a search operation in the area. Meanwhile Pakistan has recalled its ambassador from Delhi for consultations amid escalating tensions. India recalled its top diplomat from Pakistan in the wake of Thursday's attack - in which it said the Pakistani state was complicit. Pakistan denies any role in the bombing, which was claimed by a group based on its soil - Jaish-e-Mohammad. Viewpoint: How far can India go to 'punish' Pakistan? Kashmir: Why India and Pakistan fight over it Pulwama attack: What is militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad? Police say two militants who were trapped in the village in Pulwama have been killed in Monday's operation. Heavy gunfire has been heard, and Indian security officials are appealing to villagers to stay indoors. Police told BBC Urdu that when they fired "warning shots" at the house in Pinglena village where the militants were hiding, they fired back. One officer who was critically injured has been taken to hospital. The owner of the house was killed during the exchange of fire, police added Deadliest attack Last week's attack in Pulwama was the deadliest in Kashmir in decades. The bomber used a vehicle packed with explosives to ram a convoy of 78 buses carrying Indian security forces on the heavily guarded Srinagar-Jammu highway about 20km (12 miles) from the capital, Srinagar. The alleged bomber was identified as a local Kashmiri aged between 19 and 21. The following day, police began searching villages in Pulwama Thursday's attack sparked anti-Pakistan protests in some Indian cities and angry mobs targeted Kashmiri students and businessmen. Both India and Pakistan claim all of Muslim-major Kashmir but control only parts of it. Kashmir attack: Bomb kills 40 Indian paramilitary police in convoy India will 'completely isolate' Pakistan Kashmiri Muslims are being warned to stay vigilant, amid reports of threats and intimidation after last week's deadly attack on Indian forces. Isolated incidents of students from Kashmir being beat up or reclamated from their accommodation in northern Indian states were reported in local media. India's Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) offered help to students in need, but also warned of false reports. The heavy death toll of the attack shocked many across the country and led the Indian government to say it would begin its repatriation by "completely isolating" Pakistan diplomatically. India has already imposed a swathe of economic measures on Pakistan after the attack, including revoking Most Favorite Nation trading status and raising customs duty to 200%.

  9. A new version of the Lexus RC luxury sports coupe has made its debut in South Africa in exclusive F Sport guise. Since its local introduction in 2015, the RC has spearheaded Lexus’ commitment to delivering a more emotional quality in the driving experience provided by its vehicles, with its sporty appearance and versatile driving character. New found elegance The car retains all the virtues of what RC is renowned for but takes them to a higher level by adopting the latest evolution of Lexus’ signature design language and sharpened driving dynamics inspired by the brand’s flagship luxury coupe, the LC. The exterior styling remains as sporty as the preceding model, but subtle changes in the details, inspired by Lexus LC design cues, imbue it with a new-found elegance. Inside the cabin, everything from the high-quality materials to the precise layout of controls and gauges has been crafted to maximise driving pleasure. A design language Lexus designers sought to maintain the RC’s dynamic coupe proportions while adding a high level of elegance to the exterior. Key to achieving this was the addition of distinctive design elements, such as a new front bumper design – the accentuated corners flow down from the headlamps. There is also a new grille mesh pattern comprising shapes which gradually transform from top to bottom, creating intriguing visual tension. The vertical arrangement of the 'micro' triple LED headlamps and new L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights add to the car’s more distinguished appearance. Moving to the rear, air ducts have been added to the corners of the rear bumper, resulting in better handling stability and enhanced overall driving response Engine specs The 3.5-litre Lexus dual-injection 2GR-FKS V6 in the Lexus RC 350 F Sport delivers a rare, charismatic concoction of power, torque and responsiveness for a thoroughly engaging driving experience. This engine has been proven in Lexus models around the world and meets driver expectations for responsive acceleration.

Ceremonies were held across Iran today to observe the anniversary of the fall of the Shah and the triumph of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the Shiite cleric who led the coup. Iran's army declared its neutrality on February 11, 1979 which paved the way for the collapse of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi - and ousted the United States' most important ally in the Middle East. Crowds gathered in the rain in Tehran Azadi, or Freedom Square, on Monday, waving Iranian flags and chanting 'Death to America' - a mantra that has been standard fare at anti-US rallies across Iran. Chants of 'Death to Israel' and 'Death to Britain' followed, and demonstrators were caught on camera burning US and Israeli flags. allies were held across the state to observe the anniversary of the fall of the Shah and the triumph of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the Shiite cleric who led the revolution (Pictured, Iranians burn US flags in Tehran ) Men gather to burn American flags during a ceremony to mark the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution - which ousted the United States' most important ally in the Middle East Large crowds were seen carrying Iranian flags and chanting 'Death to Israel, Death to America' - trademark chants of the revolution An Iranian woman holds up a portrait of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as she makes the victory sign during a rally marking the 40th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Tehran Yadollah Javani, a senior commander in Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, threatened to burn two of Israel's cities 'to the ground' if the US attacked Iran when speaking at a rally on Monday. But if they attack us, we will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground.' The 6-mile-long downtown Enghelab, or Revolution Street, in Tehran was decorated with huge balloons as loudspeakers blared out revolutionary and nationalist songs to encourage people to join the rallies. Soldiers, students and clerics flocked to the streets of cities and towns across Iran - many carrying portraits of Khomeini and Iran's current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. 11. Attempts to incorporate a key scientific study into global climate talks in Poland have failed. The IPCC report on the impacts of a temperature rise of 1.5C, had a significant impact when it was launched last October. Scientists and many delegates in Poland were shocked as the US, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Kuwait objected to this meeting "welcoming" the report. It was the 2015 climate conference that had commissioned the landmark study. The report said that the world is now completely off track, heading more towards 3C this century rather than 1.5C. Keeping to the preferred target would need "rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society". If warming was to be kept to 1.5C this century, then emissions of carbon dioxide would have to be reduced by 45% by 2030. The report, launched in Incheon in South Korea, had an immediate impact winning praise from politicians all over the world But negotiators here ran into serious trouble when Saudi Arabia, the US, Russia and Kuwait objected to the conference "welcoming" the document. Instead they wanted to support a much more lukewarm phrase, that the conference would "take note" of the report. Saudi Arabia had fought until the last minute in Korea to limit the conclusions of the document. Eventually they gave in. But it now seems that they have brought their objections to Poland. The dispute dragged on as huddles of negotiators met in corners of the plenary session here, trying to agree a compromise wording. None was forthcoming. With no consensus, under UN rules the passage of text had to be dropped. Many countries expressed frustration and disappointment at the outcome. "It's not about one word or another, it is us being in a position to welcome a report we commissioned in the first place," said Ruenna Haynes from St Kitts and Nevis. "If there is anything ludicrous about the discussion it's that we can't welcome the report," she said to spontaneous applause. Scientists and campaigners were also extremely disappointed by the outcome. "We are really angry and find it atrocious that some countries dismiss the messages and the consequences that we are facing, by not accepting what is unequivocal and not acting upon it," said Yamide Dagnet from the World Resources Institute, and a former climate negotiator for the UK. Others noted that Saudi Arabia and the US had supported the report when it was launched in October. It appears that the Saudis and the US baulked at the political implications of the UN body putting the IPCC report at its heart. "Climate science is not a political football," said Camilla Born, from climate think tank E3G. "All the worlds governments - Saudi included - agreed the 1.5C report and we deserve the truth. Saudi can't argue with physics, the climate will keep on changing." Many delegates are now hoping that ministers, who arrive on Monday, will try and revive efforts to put this key report at the heart of the conference. "We hope that the rest of the world will rally and we get a decisive response to the report," said Yamide Dagnet. "I sincerely hope that all countries will fight that we don't leave COP24 having missed a moment of history
  12. Apple has been struggling a bit with iPhone sales as it has allegedly slashed production numbers for Q1 2019 amid soft demand. Apple isn't the only smartphone maker feeling the pinch of a soft market, while iPhone sales are down, sales of Android devices are faltering, particularly in the high-end range where Samsung and Apple dominate. The weak demand is in part due to prices growing, and consumers are waiting for 5G devices to hit the market before upgrading . Apple has had a particularly hard road in China where its high-prices are sending consumers to Chinese brands like Huawei and Xiaomi, but Apple is not lying down in the Chinese market without a fight. The company has slashed the price of iPhone models in China, and unsurprisingly, sales have grown for the device. Reports indicate that after Apple cut the price on the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, and on several older iPhones, sales are up. Price cuts landed for third-party distributors in China on January 10. Price cuts allowed Chinese vendors to save on the purchase price from Apple, and lower the prices they are offering consumers. Not long after Apple dropped the prices, the iPhone XR was on sale online in China for 6099 yuan, which is about $899. Apple sells the iPhone XR directly in China via its stores for $958. Data sourced from Alibaba alleges that since the price cuts were made, sales on its website have increased 76%; other online sites are reporting similar sales booms after price cuts. Suning, for example, claims that since Apple cut prices, its sales have grown by 83%. The price cuts were in response to slowing iPhone sales in China, which is a crucial market for vendors as much of the rest of the world is seeing smartphone sales decline. Apple CEO Tim Cook had stated previously that the company was returning to prices similar to last year in some international markets to boost sales; it appears the tactic has worked in China.

  14. Apple introduced new information about iOS 12 at the WWDC 2 days ago, started macOS 10.14 Mojave, watch OS 5 and tv OS 12. As we are most interested in iOS information, look all you need to know. The most important thing on iOS 12 is performance on old terminals. Apple has optimized the new iOS to be much faster on old phones like iPhone 6 or 6S. It is the opposite because you also know that every new iOS phone did not work just as fast. But Apple promises a 40% faster application speed and 70% more speed when the camera opens. Processors will be optimized by software to consume less when opting for rescue. Notifications (which iOS are all embarrassed) are now grouped in Android style. Notifications will be grouped according to the application The Photos application gets smarter and gives you suggestions, divides your photos better by categories (places, moments, selfs, memories, etc.) and offers suggestions for sharing photos with those who appear in them. Siri became smarter, but he still did not get the Romanian language. In fact, Siri is now better optimized for Watch OS and can do more on the iPhone. What scared me up and excited at the same time at Siri was the example given with the automatically sent SMS. Siri knows when you have a scheduled appointment in the calendar, knows if you can go or not, and if you get late, he will send an automated SMS saying that you are late. iOS 12 is available on all iPhone 5S and SE phones on top and on all tablets starting with iPad Air.

  16. President Trump has said the US will "devastate Turkey economically" if Ankara decides to attack Kurdish groups in Syria. Mr Trump was referring to his plan to pull US forces out of Syria, where they have been fighting alongside a Kurdish militia against the group calling itself Islamic State (IS).Turkey regards the Kurdish group as terrorists. The US president's comments drew a sharp response from Turkey After Mr Trump's tweet, the Turkish lira dropped in value against the US dollar. It then recovered its value, suggesting that his remarks had limited impact. So how could the US damage Turkey economically - if it wanted to? Close ties under strain The relationship between Washington and Ankara has historically been close - politically, economically and militarily.Turkey - a Nato member - is a vital partner for the US but there have been significant strains in the partnership. These came out into the open last August, when the US slapped sanctions on Turkey over the continued detention of American pastor Andrew Brunson. It marked a new low in relations and was a further blow to an already fragile economy. The US also aluminium that monthleading to further falls in the value of the Turkish lira - some 40% since the beginning of 2018.Turkey responded in kind, raising tariffs on cars from the US to 120%, on alcoholic drinks to 140% and on leaf tobacco to 60%. Who does Turkey trade with? In fact, only 5% of Turkish exports head to the US and Turkey imports only slightly more from there.Turkey's trading relationships with China, Russia and Germany are more important But even though overall trade with US is not as large, there are key vulnerable sectors: air transport, iron and steel and machinery - and this is where the US has chosen to target previous sanctions.Turkey has historically had a deficit in international trade, in that it imports more from the rest of the world than it exports. However, the trade gap did narrow considerably in 2018 on the back of the weakness of the lira, which made Turkey's exports more competitive and imports more expensive.
  17. A Jaguar XF 30t— also known as intermediate— is a vehicle size class which originated in the United States and is used for cars that are larger than compact cars, but smaller than full-size cars. The equivalent European category is D-segment, which is also called "large family car". The automobile that defined this size in the United States was the Rambler Six that was introduced in 1956, although it was called a "compact" car at that time.Much smaller than any standard contemporary full-size cars, it was called a compact to distinguish it from the small imported cars that were being introduced into the marketplace.By the 1960s, the car was renamed the Rambler Classic and while it retained its basic dimensions, it was now competing with an array of new "intermediate" models from General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.During the 1970s, the intermediate class in the U.S. was generally defined as vehicles with wheelbases between 112 inches (2,845 mm) and 118 inches (2,997 mm). The domestic manufacturers began changing the definition of "medium" as they developed new models for an evolving marketplace.A turning point occurred in the late 1970s, when rising fuel costs and government fuel economy regulations caused all car classes to shrink, and in many cases to blur. Automakers moved previously "full-size" nameplates to smaller platforms such as the Ford LTD II and the Plymouth Fury.A comparison test by Po[CENSORED]r Science of four intermediate sedans (the 1976 AMC Matador, Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Torino, and Dodge Coronet) predicted that these will be the "big cars of the future."By 1978, General Motors made its intermediate models smaller. New "official" size designations in the U.S. were introduced by the EPA, which defined market segments by passenger and cargo space.Formerly mid-sized cars that were built on the same platform, like the AMC Matador sedan, had a combined passenger and cargo volume of 130 cubic feet (3.68 m3), and were now considered "full-size" automobiles.Mid-size cars were the most po[CENSORED]r category of cars sold in the United States, with 27.4 percent during the first half of 2012, ahead of crossovers at 19 percent.

  19. NVIDIA has released its earnings report for Q4 FY19 with $2.21 billion revenue in total, beating expectations and raising their share price in the after-hours trading. At the same time, NVIDIA posted that their Gaming revenue has seen a drop of 45% from the previous year which means their GeForce sales has taken a major hit. NVIDIA Reports 45% Revenue Drop in Gaming Sales, Cites Lower Than Expected Sales of GeForce RTX 2080 and GeForce RTX 2070 Graphics Cards In the details shared by NVIDIA, the market to market revenue chart shows that Gaming was able to make $954 million in Q4 FY19 compared to $1764 million in the previous quarter. Not only does that make it a 46% decline from the previous quarter, but looking at Year-To-Year results, NVIDIA also saw a 45% decline. 2018 was a record year but it was a disappointing finish. This quarter, we expect to put the channel inventory issue behind us and get back on track. As the pioneer of accelerated computing, our position is unique and strong. And the opportunities ahead in graphic, high performance computing, AI and autonomous machines remain enormous. We are as enthusiastic about these growth opportunities as ever. Other markets such as Datacenter, Automotive, and Professional Visualization were up from the previous year as can be seen in the chart above. NVIDIA stated in the previous reports that OEM and IP sales are attributed to their crypto business and here, we can see a 22% decline from the previous quarter and 36% decline from the previous year with a now standing revenue of $116 million. Do note that OEM and IP are direct sales to crypto businesses and there’s no telling how many GeForce tier (Gaming) cards amounted to the Gaming revenue as users who buy them can end up using the cards for crypto mining. Deteriorating macro economic conditions, particularly in China, impacted consumer demand for our GPUs; and third, sales of certain high-end GPUs using our new Turing architecture, including the GeForce RTX 2080 and 2070 were lower than we expected for the launch of a new architecture. On a full year basis, we expect our gaming business to be down slightly given the tough first half compares with growth in Turing and notebook gaming. When it comes to crypto, it is partially to blame but still a significant factor which led to decline in NVIDIA’s revenue. NVIDIA had delayed their GeForce RTX Turing cards to get rid of excess GeForce GTX 10 series inventory which they had produced by overestimating the crypto market. As soon as cryptocurrency fell across the globe, so did the sales of crypto targeted graphics cards and that hit NVIDIA as they had overproduced Pascal chips. Even at the moment, NVIDIA still isn’t clear of their GeForce 1060 (GP106 GPU) inventory. There are also other factors and much of that has to do with the GeForce RTX cards and their main highlight, the RTX feature. First of all, we should look at the prices of GeForce RTX 20 series cards which are highest in their graphics segment. The other thing is the performance increase per gen which is also lower than what previous generations had to offer. If we look at Pascal, the GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080 gave users a lot of reason to upgrade and weren’t priced out of range of the mainstream audience. The GTX 1080 Ti was the king of the hill for a full 2 years and had a price of just $699 US.The current situation is completely different. NVIDIA is offering the GTX 1080 successor for the price of a GTX 1080 Ti which offers around the same performance of the previous flagship at $699 US. Same can be said for the RTX 2070 which exceeds the performance of a GTX 1080 but costs the same at $499 US. The GeForce RTX 2060 costs $349 US and that’s about the same as the GTX 1070 but here, it does offer somewhat better performance.vNVIDIA also states that the reason for poor sales was due to them introducing high-end cards first. But I should remind you that with Pascal and Maxwell, NVIDIA also launched their high-end cards first. The GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 were introduced around the same time while the GeForce GTX 980 and GeForce GTX 970 were also announced and launched close to one another. The GeForce GTX 960 and GTX 1060 always launched later than the higher end cards but this time, NVIDIA had the edge by offering RTX 2080 Ti from the start which is a crucial flagship product in the Turing lineup. When we launched the 2070 and 2080, it was the first time we’ve ever launched a new generation where the only available SKUs were very high end. And in addition to that, the early boards that came out into the marketplace were the special edition and the over clocked versions. And the MSRP versions didn’t show up for some short time after, couple of months after. And so the conditions weren’t ideal, if you will. We weren’t able to launch into the mainstream segment with 2060 for all the reasons that I think everybody understands now. And so I think that the situ wasn’t ideal. When you take a look at our situation now, every single graphics card had the best performance at its price point and it remains so today. Now coming to the second problem with GeForce RTX cards which is the main feature or RTX itself. NVIDIA had promised many gaming titles to use their highly anticipated Ray Tracing and DLSS tech but currently, only three games exist that utilize their DLSS technology and two games, Battlefield V and Metro Exodus) which use Ray Tracing. Sure the Ray Tracing tech helps a lot in enhancing the visual fidelity but Ray Tracing also impacts performance. In each title tested, Ray Tracing means a major hit to FPS so users would have to trade in performance for quality and in a title such as BFV Multiplayer where FPS matters, Ray Tracing can really take away the fun from the game unless you tone down the resolution to somewhat playable levels. And I think that right out of the box, it delivered excellent performance. It is true that everybody was hoping to see more games with RTX on day one. But it’s such a new technology with ray-tracing and AI for image processing that it’s only really possible to make available with new games, which is tied to the schedules of new games. And now they’re starting to come out. Battlefield 5, Metro Exodus, I think that the reviews from this week are just spectacular. With DLSS and Ray Tracing combined, users can indeed get higher playable framerates but DLSS has shown to cause image artifacts and in some cases, blurry image quality than standard TAA which may lead to poor game immersion. Plus, we still haven’t seen Shadow of The Tomb Raider, and many other titles which were promised by NVIDIA to implement Ray Tracing and DLSS tech. Given the high bar set by Maxwell and Pascal before it, Turing just doesn’t seem like much of an update in terms of pure raw power (minus DLSS and RTX features). But NVIDIA states that their Gaming segment would get better this year considering the launched their GeForce RTX 2060 just last month and the upcoming GeForce 16 series cards which focus on offering mainstream performance with Turing architecture under the $300 US market. 20. Windows 10 Insiders sent screaming into a future where, er, nothing much has changed right nowMicrosoft fired up the speculation machine last night by issuing a fresh build of Windows 10 to lucky skip-ahead testers: and it contains code from 2020s Windows. While greybeards still enjoy drawers filled with dusty CDs of beta code for Windows NT, handed out years before final Release To Manufacturing, this is a first since Windows 10's release (unless one counts the leaked builds smuggled out through Redmond's walls.) Windows Insiders are Microsoft's army of volunteer testers, given access to early versions of Windows 10 in order to give the OS a thorough kicking on as many hardware configurations as possible. Until yesterday, "Skip Ahead" meant opting to jump beyond the next version of the operating system for ever shinier toys. As such, anxious testers were wondering when 19H2 would put in an appearance, with 19H1 (likely called the Windows 10 April 2019 Update) nearing release. The "Skip Ahead" ring was briefly opened just over two weeks ago, and users have been impatiently awaiting their first glimpse of 19H2, likely the "October 2019 Update", ever since. Would it see the return of Sets? Might there be hints of a leaner, lighter Windows? Perhaps some more beatings with the dark mode stick that so many inexplicably enjoy so much? Surprise! Those Skip Ahead users are actually getting a glimpse of a Windows world in the year 2020, thanks to build 18836. In a posting woefully short on detail, Windows Insider supremo Dona Sarkar stated the bleeding obvious when she said: "some things we are working on in 20H1 require a longer lead time" without actually explaining why Skip Ahead testers are being asked to Skip Ahead quite so far into the future. She also said Insiders would get hold of 19H2 after 19H1 (the next release) is "nearly finished and ready". So that means the brave souls on Skip Ahead will get a downgrade to 19H2, right? Not so, according to Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc:So, if you selected Skip Ahead, you won't be seeing 19H2 (likely the October update). This could mean Microsoft intends to play with its Rings. Fast Ring users might become what was Skip Ahead and get 19H2 as 19H1 nears release while the currently neglected Slow Ring finally gets some fresh code to test. Then again, LeBlanc was also the chap that cheerfully reckoned enough testing had been done with the October 2018 Update to bypass Release Preview and unleash the thing directly on users. That didn’t end so well. So, pull up a chair and crank up the ol' Speculation 3000. Right now, the new build that contains the 2020 code has little visible in the way of the new features, which is not unusual for a Skip Ahead build. The change does, however, seem to imply a shake-up of the testing rings are imminent for Insiders. If so, it is a shame that those enthusiastic souls who opted to join Skip Ahead were not warned that they would be leaping two versions into the future rather than one. Or perhaps, dare we say it, there is something so horrifying in 19H2 that 20H1 has been hastily shovelled out to give Microsoft more time to deal with it. ®
