The song consists of 3 sections from the 1979 album The Wall of Pink Floyd (Old Choi ... Mesh Heck!), Written by legend Roger Waters, and is considered one of the band's most famous songs and the biggest hit of all time. From the US & UK top Charts.The most por part of the song is Part II
Nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Band Performance.Interestingly, this song was the anthem of black students in South Africa against racial discrimination in the curriculum in 1980, which led to the prevention of this song by the white racist government at that time!
This song was also turned into a feature film entitled Pink Floyd the Wall directed by Alan Parker and written by Roger Waters in 1982 and won two BAFTA Awards.
It is also worth mentioning that Roger Waters performed this song in Berlin when the wall was removed in 1990, and also from the positions for which he is respected for his open opposition to the separation wall in Palestine as seen in the following picture:
He writes "we don't want to observe ideas" on the wall after his visit to protest his construction. "It will be difficult to remove this wall, but in the end it has to be done," he said, comparing it to the Berlin Wall.
