  6. Game Details Release name : HurtWorld 0.7.3.0 Size : 1.18 GB Title : HurtWorld Genre : Action, Adventure, Simulation, Early Access Developer : Bankroll Studios Publisher : Bankroll Studios Steam : Click Release Date : 4 Dec, 2015 About This Game : WARNING: Hurtworld is still very early in development. It may be worth waiting until we are further through development before getting on board (We’re not going anywhere). Hurtworld is a hardcore multiplayer survival FPS with a focus on deep survival progression that doesn’t become trivial once you establish some basic needs. That feeling when you’re freezing to death trying to make a fire, or you’re defenceless being chased by creatures. These experiences are what make a survival game. When you overcome that challenge and find a level of comfort it’s a great feeling, but what do you do next? Hurtworld tempts you out of your comfort zone with rich resources, better loot and higher tech. It will also throw more dangerous creatures, harsher environments and new challenges at you that can’t be taken on without the proper gear or refined skill. Will you settle for bows and arrows and a campfire, or push deeper into the map and start scavenging for vehicle parts and better weapons? Built from the ground up with solid multiplayer foundations. Designed for fast skill based PVP and PVE. You will constantly have to decide which is the biggest threat, the player opposite you or the creatures that will hear your gunshot. Current Features Crafting Gear, Tools, Weapons and Machines – Combine what you find in the world to make hundreds of different items. Structure Building – Claim land solo or with friends, build from a hut to a city using our attachment point based structure system. Procedurally Generated, Customizable Vehicles – Find a car or quad bike wreck in world with random panels. Scavenge for parts and get it moving again. Find rare paint colors and skin patterns to get it looking just the way you want. Upgrade your engine and gearbox. Make sure to carry a spare tire! Mining Resources – Heaps of different minable resources that require different tools to gather, from Pickaxes to Dynamite. Alternatively you can build some automated drills and let them do the work for you. Twitch based PVP – Some areas of the map will be highly contested, are you willing to share the limited resources needed to survive? If you aren’t, we have many different projectile and melee weapons to do away with your opponent. Careful though, murdering your peers may increase your own penalty for death. Farmable Plants – Find wild seeds and get a crop going back home. Hunting Neutral and Hostile Animals – Environment is filled with animals, they may be your lunch, you may be theirs. Town Ruins and Relics with Random Loot – Tightly contested, if the radiation and mutated creatures don’t kill you, another player will. You might just find those engine parts you’ve been looking for here. Dynamic Day/Night + Weather – Pick the right time of day to attempt crossing sand dunes, but watch out for sandstorms. Stat Simulation – More than just a hunger bar, everything in the world is affected by time of day, current biome, localized effects like radiation, dynamic weather, heat given off by machines etc. Items can have different behaviors based on current stats too. That steak in your backpack might just freeze in the snow, at least it will take longer to go rotten. Put that storage chest too close to your fire you may come home to a pile of Ash. Drastically Different Biomes – Explore the harsh world. From the snow forests of the North to the colorful parrot Tokars of the red desert, gear that lets you survive in one biome may kill you in another. Players with a home base advantage will likely be better equipped to handle their surroundings than invaders. All the features above are currently in the game and functional, however much of the content in these systems is placeholder. While we’ve done a lot of the hard work developing robust systems to underpin gameplay mechanics, we haven’t yet spent a lot of time generating and balancing content for these systems. As this is mostly configuration work, we will be able to quickly deliver lots of new content in the coming months. Server Authoritative Multiplayer Most multiplayer open world games use a MMO style network architecture. While this allows for greater player numbers per server, it opens up the game up to endless cheating exploits that are impossible to stomp out. Hurtworld uses an architecture closer to that of a modern FPS, where all physics and game logic are calculated on the server. While cheats can never be fully stopped, this structure makes a large amount of the exploits impossible from day one. Due to this, our servers will use a bit more resources for the same number of people than your usual survival game, but we think it’s totally worth it. 8. Game Details Release name : THE FOREST V1.11 Size : 2.46 GB Title : The Forest-CODEX Genre : Action, Adventure, Indie, Simulation Developer : Endnight Games Ltd Publisher : Endnight Games Ltd Steam : click here Release Date : 30 Apr, 2018 The Forest is a survival video game developed and published by Canadian studio Endnight Games. The game takes place on a remote, heavily forested peninsula where the player character Eric Leblanc and his son Timmy are survivors of a plane crash. The game features nonlinear gameplay in an open world environment played from a first-person perspective, with no set missions or quests, empowering the player to make their own decisions for survival. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in April 2018 following a three-year long early access beta phase, as well as for the PlayStation 4 in November 2018. By the end of 2018, The Forest had sold over five million copies. Gameplay In The Forest, the player must survive on a forested peninsula after a plane crash, after which a "cannibal" is seen taking the player's son away. The player survives by creating shelter, weapons, and other survival tools. Inhabiting the island, along with various woodland creatures, are a tribe of nocturnal, cannibalistic mutants, who dwell in villages on the surface and in deep caves beneath the peninsula. While they are not necessarily always hostile to the player, their usual behavior is aggressive, especially during the night.[1] However, the developers wanted players to question whether the island's cannibalistic tribe is the enemy of the player, or vice versa.[1] For example, when first encountering the player, the cannibals may hesitate to attack and instead observe the player from a distance, attempt to communicate with the player through effigies, and send patrols around the player's base camp. In combat, they regularly attempt to protect one another from injury, remove torches, surround the player, hide behind cover, drag wounded tribesmen to safety, keep their distance, use tactical decisions, not overextend into unknown territory, and occasionally surrender out of fear. They are also afraid of fire, and will sometimes refrain from approaching the player if there is a campfire or torch nearby. Though there are no set missions, there is an optional conclusion to the game.[2] As the player progresses through the game, and explores the caves underneath the forest surface, they will encounter increasingly bizarre mutations, including deformed babies and mutants with several extra appendages. The game also features a day and night cycle, with the player able to build a shelter and traps, hunt animals and collect supplies during the day, and defend themselves against the mutants by night.[3] Plot The game begins with Eric Leblanc sitting in an airplane with his son Timmy, before the plane crashes on a remote, heavily forested peninsula. Eric and his son manage to survive the crash, but Eric watches helplessly as Timmy is kidnapped by a man in red war paint before falling unconscious. Upon awakening in the crashed plane, Eric goes out in search of his son. Forced to defend himself from hostile wildlife, and the cannibalistic mutants which live on peninsula, Eric searches for his son's whereabouts. The forest contains clues to help Eric track down his son's kidnapper, who can be seldom seen in the distance observing Eric, but will flee if he is approached. The majority of clues leading to Timmy are in the cave system below the peninsula. Over time, Eric encounters increasingly bizarre mutations, such as mutants with extra limbs. Eventually, he discovers an abandoned underground lab complex owned by Sahara Therapeutics, a large research company responsible for experimenting with creatures on the peninsula. Upon entering the lab, Eric finds the lab's personnel dead and discovers that they were studying an artifact capable of bringing the dead back to life, but requires a child sacrifice. While exploring the labs, Eric learns that his son’s kidnapper, Dr. Matthew Cross, was a researcher at the facility before losing his daughter Megan to an "Armsy", a mutant with several arms. Driven insane by Megan’s death, Cross resorted to using the artifact to resurrect Megan and kidnapped Timmy to use as a sacrifice. Eric eventually finds the artifact and opens it, but finds his son already dead, sacrificed to bring Megan back to life. Eric soon discovers Cross dead and that the revived Megan had mutated into an aggressive, cannibalistic monster, similar to the other mutants that roam the peninsula. Eric confronts the child, who seizes and mutates further before attacking him. Eric kills the mutated Megan and attempts to use her body to resurrect Timmy, but the process is a failure, since a live sacrifice is needed. Eric explores the lab further and discovers a second artifact that functions as a type of EMP device capable of bringing down nearby planes, implying that Cross used it to crash their plane. The game features two endings. In the first, Eric uses the artifact to cause another plane to crash, intending to find a child sacrifice to bring Timmy back to life. One year later, Eric and his revived son have apparently been rescued, and they are invited onto a talk show to promote Eric's book, chronicling his experiences on the peninsula. However, during the show, Timmy collapses and begins to have a seizure, implying he is undergoing the same mutation that Cross's daughter had. If the player approaches Timmy, he will eventually snap out of it. If this is done, players will take the perspective of Timmy, who is now much older, gathering information on the peninsula for an unknown purpose while also trying to suppress his mutations. 9. About This Game : Bright lights flare across the night sky. The wind rages outside the thin walls of your wooden cabin. A wolf howls in the distance. You look at the meagre supplies in your pack, and wish for the days before the power mysteriously went out. How much longer will you survive? Welcome to THE LONG DARK, the innovative exploration-survival experience Wired magazine calls “the pinnacle of an entire genre”. The Long Dark is a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. The episodic story-mode for The Long Dark, WINTERMUTE launches with two of the five episodes that form its Season One. EPISODE ONE – “Do Not Go Gentle” Bush pilot Will Mackenzie (player character) and Dr. Astrid Greenwood are separated after their plane crashes deep in the Northern Canadian wilderness in the aftermath of a mysterious flash of light in the sky. EPISODE TWO – “Luminance Fugue” Mackenzie’s search for Astrid takes him deeper into the savage Winter wilderness. A mysterious trapper may be the key to finding Astrid, but can he be trusted? The first two episodes of WINTERMUTE represent approximately 15 hours of gameplay. Episodes Three to Five are included in the price of the game, and will be unlocked for free as they are released. Several standalone Challenge Modes offer objective-based experiences designed to last 1-3 hours each, such as Whiteout — the race to gather enough supplies to prepare for a monster blizzard. 11. Game Details Release name : World War Z [v 1.02] Xatab repack Size : 18.2 GB Title : World War Z Genre : Action, Survival Developer : Saber Interactive Publisher : Focus Home Interactive Steam : click here Release Date : 2019 World War Z is a 2013 American apocalyptic action horror film[8] directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard, and Damon Lindelof is from a screen story by Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski, based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. The film stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator who must travel the world to find a way to stop a zombie pandemic. Pitt's Plan B Entertainment secured the film rights in 2007, and Forster was approached to direct. In 2009, Carnahan was hired to rewrite the script. Filming began in July 2011 in Malta, on an estimated $125 million budget, before moving to Glasgow in August 2011 and Budapest in October 2011. Originally set for a December 2012 release, the production suffered some setbacks. In June 2012, the film's release date was pushed back, and the crew returned to Budapest for seven weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but did not have time to finish the script, and Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots took place between September and October 2012. World War Z premiered in London on June 3, 2013, and was chosen to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival. The film premiered in New York, and Los Angeles on June 14, 2013, and released everywhere on June 21, 2013, in the United States, in 2D and RealD 3D. The film received positive reviews for Brad Pitt's performance and as a realistic revival of the zombie genre, but received certain criticism for the anti-climax and outdated CGI. Regardless, the film was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million, becoming the highest-grossing zombie film of all time. A sequel was announced shortly after the film's release, but in February 2019 it was cancelled, reportedly, due to budget issues.[9] Plot Former UN employee Gerry Lane, his wife Karin and their two daughters are in heavy Philadelphia traffic when the city is overrun by zombies that are attracted to sound. As chaos spreads, the Lanes escape to Newark, New Jersey and take refuge in an apartment, home to a couple with a young son, Tommy. UN Deputy Secretary-General Thierry Umutoni, an old friend of Gerry, sends a helicopter that extracts the Lanes and Tommy to a U.S. Navy vessel in the Atlantic where scientists and military personnel are analyzing the worldwide outbreaks. Andrew Fassbach posits that the plague is a virus and that development of a vaccine depends on finding the origin. Gerry agrees to help Fassbach find the outbreak's source after it is made clear that the Lanes will be removed from the cramped ship if he is not of use. Gerry and Fassbach fly to Camp Humphreys, a military base in South Korea, where they are attacked on arrival by zombies. Turning to re-enter the aircraft, Fassbach slips, falls and accidentally shoots himself dead. After being rescued by the base's surviving personnel, led by Captain Speke, Gerry learns that the infection was introduced to the base by its doctor, who was ultimately incinerated by a soldier with a lame leg whom the infected ignored. A former CIA operative imprisoned at the base for selling weapons to North Korea (to help them fight the infection) tells Gerry to go to Jerusalem, where he says a safe zone has been maintained by the Israeli Mossad since before the outbreak's official acknowledgement. As Gerry and his team return to their aircraft, Karin—worried about her husband after he misses their pre-arranged call time—rings his satellite phone, attracting zombies who kill several soldiers, with only Gerry and his pilot escaping. In Jerusalem, Gerry meets Mossad chief Jurgen Warmbrunn, who explains that months earlier, the Mossad had intercepted an Indian military message claiming that Indian troops were fighting the rakshasa, or "dead spirits". Israel had thereupon quarantined Jerusalem, erecting huge walls around it. Just as Jurgen shows Gerry that Israel is allowing survivors to take refuge in the city, loud celebratory singing from refugees prompts zombies to scale the walls and attack. Jurgen orders some Israeli soldiers to escort Gerry back to his plane. On the way, Gerry notices zombies ignoring an old man and an emaciated boy. Soon after, one of Gerry's escorts, a soldier who identifies herself only as "Segen" (lieutenant), is bitten in the hand, which Gerry quickly amputates to stop her turning. Gerry and Segen escape on a commercial airliner as Jerusalem is overrun. Gerry contacts Thierry, and the airliner is diverted to a World Health Organization (WHO) facility outside Cardiff, Wales. When a stowaway zombie attacks on approach to Cardiff airport, Gerry uses a grenade to blow the infected out of the aircraft, which also causes the plane to crash. Gerry is injured, but both he and Segen survive. They proceed to the WHO facility, where Gerry loses consciousness. He awakens three days later and explains to the remaining WHO staff his theory, based on the people he has seen the zombies ignore: the infected do not bite the seriously injured or terminally ill since they would be unsuitable hosts for viral reproduction. He suggests that they test this by deliberately infecting somebody with a pathogen from the facility, but the pathogens are stored in a wing already overrun by zombies. Gerry, Segen and the lead WHO doctor go to get a pathogen. As they fight their way through, they are separated; Gerry continues to the pathogen vault while Segen and the doctor return to the main building. A zombie blocks the door to the vault, prompting Gerry to inject himself with an unknown pathogen and open the vault, thereby testing his theory. The zombie ignores him, as do those he encounters while returning to the main building. Everybody rejoices at Gerry's success. Gerry and his family are reunited in a safe zone at Freeport, Nova Scotia. A "vaccine", derived from deadly pathogens, is developed and issued to survivors battling the infected, acting as a kind of camouflage. The vaccine also helps survivors to reach quarantine zones. Human offensives begin against the zombies, and hope is restored. "This isn't the end," Gerry comments, "Not even close. Our war has just begun." About This Game : World War Z is a heart-pounding coop third-person shooter for up to 4 players featuring massive swarms of hundreds of zombies. Each installment in the Dead Space series is a continuation or addition to a continuing storyline which began with the release of the original game. The game is set in a 26th-century science fiction universe featuring environments, weapons and characters typical of the genre. Generally speaking, the series focuses on an engineer named Isaac Clarke and the horrors that surround him. The series has been commercially and critically successful, selling over 10 million copies; the first game and its sequel received widely positive reviews from the majority of critics and the first game has received a number of industry awards for many different elements of its gameplay and development. Gameplay: The Dead Space games are survival horrors, with the player character visible at all times. All menu interfaces are diegetic, produced by the character's "Resource Integration Gear" spacesuit for ease of communication with other characters. For instance, the character's hit point meter, built into the spine of his suit, is intended to allow co-workers to monitor his health, and when the character moves into depressurized areas, a readout on his back displays his remaining seconds of oxygen. All sound is removed from gameplay during these segments save those which would be transferred to the character's ears by the vibrations of his RIG, such as rounds fired from his weapon. Since the menus are diegetic, opening them does not pause gameplay. The character's RIG can be outfitted with two special abilities for use in combat and puzzle-solving. The "Kinesis" module allows the character to retrieve, levitate and transport objects, often heavier or more distant ones than could be accessed normally. These objects may also be expelled at high speed for use as improvised projectiles. The "Stasis" module causes its target to undergo an extreme slowdown for a short period of time, allowing characters to dart through rapidly moving obstacles such as fan blades, or hinder onrushing enemies. The RIG also has a slot-based inventory for carrying weapons, ammunition, healing items and other objects. Gunplay is influenced by the franchise's antagonists. Because Necromorphs are re-animated and re-purposed corpses, lacking dependence on nervous, respiratory and circulatory systems, the conventions of stopping power are largely irrelevant to them. Thus, instead of targeting foes' heads or center of mass, players are encouraged to engage in "strategic dismemberment" by shooting off their arms and legs. Some Necromorphs can be easily defeated in this manner, but others may change attack patterns or even spawn entirely new enemies when slain. Relatedly, the game's weapons are characterized as being repurposed power tools[1] or mining implements, such as plasma cutters, rotary saws and gravitic repulsion tools, though an increasing amount of dedicated military ordnance becomes available as the franchise progresses. Ammunition tends to be uncommon, thus necessitating careful usage of the tools at hand. In the first two games, RIGs and weapons can be upgraded at bench workstations. Players can also visit vending machines to buy or sell items for in-game currency, and upload new schematics to those stores in order to unlock new items. This was changed in the third installment, where the store was scrapped entirely; new "Suit Kiosks" allow the player to upgrade their RIG, and bench functionality was expanded to allow players to craft their own weapons, often by cobbling together parts and resources scavenged through gameplay. Each type of necromorph has a unique way of slaying the player character, customized to whatever claws, blades, fangs or probosces they happen to possess. Trailer:

  14. Information As mentioned above, the game is set just after the Great War Against Chaos (a couple centuries before the End Times). This was during a time when the Empire was divided and without an Emperor. Big trouble brewed in the North when a Chaos Champion by the name of Asavar Kul was anointed Everchosen of Chaos (the fourth one, specifically) and led a massive invasion into the south. Their first target? Their favorite punching bag: Kislev. The Tzar of Kislev sent messages begging the Elector Counts of the Empire to get off their sorry asses and lend them their aid, but the Elector Counts were like "Nah". One minor nobleman from Nuln showed that he had balls of steel and rallied the Counts (along with their long-time allies, the Dwarfs) to the aid of the Kislevites. His name? Magnus. With the aid of the combined armies of the Empire, Kislev and the Dwarfs, Magnus defeated the chaos horde and slain Asavar Kul during The Battle at the Gates of Kislev. Magnus was so loved and respected for all he did that he was immediately crowned the new Emperor and united the Empire once more. Now named Magnus the Pious, he ruled for over 60 years and was considered the best Emperor since Sigmar. It was also during this time that the Colleges of Magic were born, founded by the High Elf High Loremaster Teclis and approved by Emperor Magnus himself. Probably because they realized that Faith, Steel and Gunpowder weren't enough to combat Chaos Sorcery and Daemons (and so that the Empire would serve as a bulwark against the Forces of Chaos so that the High Elves wouldn't get sandwiched by both Chaos and their Dark Elf cousins) Fun fact: This is actually the second game to be set after the Great War Against Chaos. The first game was Warhammer: Mark of Chaos (which a lot of people (unfairly) considered to be a Total War clone). 15. The 1991 GMC Syclone is one of the coolest trucks ever built. Sporting a turbocharged V-6 making 280 horsepower, it did 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, quicker than a Ferrari from the same year. It remains a legend in the world of capable utility. Sadly, GMC has never built a follow-up to the Syclone (or the Typhoon SUV it spawned). Now Specialty Vehicle Engineering, the same folks behind that 1000-HP Yenko/SC Corvette Grand Sport, want to bring the Syclone back, sort of. The team just unveiled a new tuning package for the 2019 GMC Canyon to boost its power and jog your nostalgia. Starting out with an extended cab truck in either 2WD or 4WD, the standard 308-horsepower 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V-6 gets supercharged to 455 horsepower. The brakes are upgraded with six-piston units up front measuring 13.6 inches in diameter. A sport suspension package lowers the truck two inches in the front, five in the rear. Upgraded shock absorbers, a bigger rear sway bar, and heavy duty spring bushings are also added. Specialty Vehicle Engineering released a few renderings of the truck which, strangely, depicts the GMC on the Yas Marina F1 circuit in Abu Dhabi, and makes it look like it's nearly as wide as the entire racing surface. A stainless steel cat-back exhaust improves the sound, while black five-spoke wheels with red "Syclone" graphics and performance tires round out the exterior design. All the trim pieces are blacked out, and the hood gets "455 HP" chrome and red badges. On the tailgate you'll see a massive "Syclone" decal in the original 1990s script. Inside, the truck gets embroidered graphics on the seats and floor mats. Despite not being OEM, everything looks incredibly well-done. Only 100 examples will be made, and according to Roadshow, it'll cost you $39,995 on top of the cost of the donor truck. That means a total starting price of around $63,000. According to Roadshow, the truck will be available to order via your local GMC dealer. Does this thing live up to the Syclone name? Hard to say. Specialty Vehicle Engineering didn't provide any acceleration stats for the tuned truck. To our minds, this thing will have to be pretty quick to earn the Syclone badge: The original GMC could spank an early-'90s Corvette LT1, which did 0-60 in the high five-second range. To repeat that feat, a "new" Syclone would have to out-spring today's Stingray, which does the sprint in high threes. We doubt this "new Syclone" will be quite that quick. Regardless, it's a fun modern tribute to one of the greatest performance surprises of all time.

Here's how to get the most out of the weather and prepare outdoor space ready for summer As a garden designer I help others transform their gardens on a weekly basis, but recently I’ve been looking from my garden back to my clients’ with increasing envy. After a battering from last year’s snow and drought, our small London yard is ready for a little zhushing up. Thankfully 2019 is set to be a turning point for gardens; retailers are flooding the market with characterful and useful products while gardening experts are full of ideas for wildlife and naturalistic planting. Trends such as living walls may be dwindling, but sustainable, environmentally conscious ideas are firmly in – and they’re...
  17. Donald Trump has declared "Game Over" for his "haters" - but a long-awaited report revealed how the US president sought the firing of the man investigating his team's alleged links to Russia. A redacted 448-page, two-volume report of special counsel Robert Mueller's inquiry, published on Thursday, set out multiple episodes in which Mr Trump directed others to influence the Russia probe. - In June 2017 - a month after Mr Mueller's appointment to probe possible cooperation between Mr Trump's 2016 election campaign and Moscow - the president attempted to remove Mr Mueller from his position, the report said. The lengthy document described how Mr Trump called White House lawyer Don McGahn and told him to call then-attorney general Jeff Sessions to say Mr Mueller "had conflicts of interest and must be removed". "McGahn did not carry out the direction, however, deciding that he would resign rather than trigger what he regarded as a potential Saturday Night Massacre," the report added, referencing the firing of key officials during former president Richard Nixon's Watergate scandal. Mr Mueller's 22 month-long work focused on Russian hacking and social media campaigns, possible Russian government links to - and contacts with - the Trump campaign, and potential obstruction of his investigatory efforts. Mr Trump's efforts to influence the investigation "were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the president declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests," Mr Mueller wrote. Although he did not conclusively find that Mr Trump had committed criminal obstruction of justice, Mr Mueller did not exonerate the president on the question either. He found no evidence of collusion between Mr Trump's campaign team and Russia - despite "numerous links" - but said the president's campaign "expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts", referring to hacked Democrat emails. Other explosive findings in Mr Mueller's highly-anticipated report included: :: Mr Trump's belief that Mr Mueller's appointment as a special counsel to investigate possible Russia links would "end" his spell in the White House. "Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I'm f****d," Mr Trump said, according to the report. :: There was "substantial evidence" that Mr Trump fired James Comey as FBI director in 2017 due to his "unwillingness to publicly state that the president was not personally under investigation". :: Written answers from Mr Trump to questions by Mr Mueller's team were considered "inadequate", but they decided against trying to compel Mr Trump to give evidence in person due to the likelihood of a long legal battle. :: Mr Trump "launched public attacks on the investigation and individuals involved in it who could possess evidence adverse to the president, while in private, the president engaged in a series of targeted efforts to control the investigation", the report said. To cheers at a White House event following the release of Mr Mueller's report, Mr Trump said he was having a "good day" and declared "no collusion, no obstruction". He added: "There never was, by the way, and there never will be. "This should never happen to another president again, this hoax." The president had earlier posted an image, inspired by TV series Game of Thrones, on Twitter with the same "no collusion, no obstruction" message. His tweet added: "For the haters and the radical left Democrats - Game Over." The president's legal team also hailed a "total victory" and claimed there had been "unprecedented cooperation" by Mr Trump with the special counsel's work. However, Mr Trump did not repeat his claim - made last month when Mr Mueller disclosed in a summary of his report that the president nor his team conspired with Russia to win the 2016 election - that he had been granted a "complete and total exoneration". Mr Trump's political rivals urged the US public to ignore the "spin" over Mr Mueller's report. Invitations also flew in for Mr Mueller to testify before various US Congress committees on the results of his investigation. Jerrold Nadler, the Democrat chair of the House of Representatives' judiciary committee, requested Mr Mueller to appear before his panel "no later than 23 May". The bullishness of Mr Trump in asserting "no obstruction" came despite US attorney general William Barr revealing Mr Mueller's report recounted "10 episodes" involving the president and discussed "potential legal theories for connecting these actions to elements of an obstruction offence". However, Mr Barr himself used a news conference before the report's publication to reveal his own conclusion that "the evidence developed by the special counsel is not sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction-of-justice offence". The attorney general, the replacement for Mr Sessions who was sacked by Mr Trump last year, also claimed the "unprecedented situation" faced by the president should be taken into account when assessing his actions. Mr Barr said: "As he entered into office, and sought to perform his responsibilities as president, federal agents and prosecutors were scrutinising his conduct before and after taking office, and the conduct of some of his associates. "At the same time, there was relentless speculation in the news media about the president's personal culpability." - Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a senior Democrat, branded Mr Barr's news conference "a complete farce and an embarrassing display of propaganda on behalf of President Trump". Democrat Senate leader Chuck Schumer and House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a joint statement: "The differences are stark between what Attorney General Barr said on obstruction and what Special Counsel Mueller said on obstruction. "As we continue to review the report, one thing is clear: Attorney General Barr presented a conclusion that the president did not obstruct justice while Mueller's report appears to undercut that finding." They both also called for Mr Mueller to provide public testimony to both houses of US Congress "as soon as possible". Fellow Democrat Steny Hoyer, the House majority leader, claimed it was not worth trying to force Mr Trump from office over Mr Mueller's report, with a presidential election next year "Based on what we have seen to date, going forward on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point. Very frankly, there is an election in 18 months and the American people will make a judgement," he told CNN.

  20. Metro Exodus You’ll probably know this one is on the Epic Games Store – it was pulled slightly unceremoniously from Steam after pre-orders had begun, and became a lightning rod for discussion about the two platforms. It’s absolutely worth installing a new launcher for, though – the bravest single-player shooter since Titanfall 2, and one that treats the form as a place to push first-person storytelling forward, not just gunfeel. Ironically it’s Valve’s legacy that Metro Exodus calls to mind most, shunting through several gears as its train ploughs through a devastated Eastern Europe. Expect a mix of horror, survivalism, action, and exquisite worldbuilding. Super Meat Boy Traditionally, tough platformers punished you with a huge loss of progress – the stakes were derived from the knowledge that you could be plonked back to the beginning of the level, if not the entire game, after a wrong move. But Super Meat Boy – alongside its peers N+ and VVVVVV – operated on a new principle of micro-challenge, resetting you only to the beginning of the screen. Its challenges are gnarly networks of circular saws and spike pits, but through those hundreds of fast failures, you reach mastery quicker than in any other game – soon marvelling at your own feats of navigation. It’s often talked about, but the best bit is still the moment you complete each stage, and get to watch all of your attempts replay at once – each Meat Boy gradually whittled down by obstacles to leave the sole eventual victor. What Remains of Edith Finch An advancement on the subtle household storytelling of Gone Home, What Remains of Edith Finch has you explore the huge Finch house. As in Fullbright’s game, you’re entirely alone, but here you’re acutely aware that’s because nobody else is left alive. Although you play as Edith, every story you uncover in the house has you swap perspectives to view the final day of a relative, discovering something about their life in the process. Where most games stick to a couple of central mechanics, in these scenes you’ll always be doing something different – winding up a music box, working an old camera, or flying a kite. The Finches seem cursed, most not making it beyond childhood, which makes it all the more impressive that this story is more wondrous than it is morbid. Upcoming games
