  1. SAN FRANCISCO & STOCKHOLM - March 21, 2019 - Paradox Interactive today at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco revealed Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, a role-playing game (RPG) set in a Seattle faithfully reimagined in the World of Darkness. The game is currently in development and will launch on PC and consoles in 2020. Developed by Hardsuit Labs, Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the iconic RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, featuring reactive storytelling, fast-paced melee combat, and intriguing characters with their own hidden motives. Players will become the ultimate vampire as they stalk the city streets for prey, maneuver complex political relationships, and balance their need for blood against their withering humanity. Pre-orders for Bloodlines 2 are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Paradox Store for $59.99. A “Blood Moon Edition,” which contains the “Season of the Wolf” season pass and includes additional story content to be released after launch, is also available for pre-order at $89.99. Pre-orders, along with additional information about the game, are available here: www.bloodlines2.com Trailer: Created in an act of vampire insurrection, your existence ignites a blood war among the vampire factions who run Seattle. To survive, you’ll choose a clan and enter into uneasy alliances with the competing factions in a world which will react to every choice you make. Unleash your supernatural powers against your prey, but be mindful of your surroundings at all times or run the risk of breaking the Masquerade -- the absolute law of secrecy that keeps Vampire society hidden from humanity. The creative mind behind the original Bloodlines, Brian Mitsoda, returns as Lead Narrative Designer for Bloodlines 2, giving fans a true successor to the original cult classic. “When Paradox announced they were acquiring the World of Darkness IP, I immediately started thinking about what it would be like to return to Vampire: The Masquerade,” Mitsoda said. “Our aim has been to carry on the signature themes that made Bloodlines unique - particularly its dark tone, atmosphere, and humor - and I think that fans of the original will love what we’re doing with Bloodlines 2.” “Fans of the original Bloodlines have been hungry for a sequel for a long time, and we began to hear those suggestions -- well, demands -- as soon as we began to work with the World of Darkness,” said Ebba Ljungerud, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “We all understood what this opportunity could mean, but it was essential for both us and for Hardsuit Labs that any sequel should be done properly; a true successor guided by the people who knew what made the original so special. Keeping this game a secret for the last few years has been quite the Masquerade for us! It’s both exciting and relieving to finally let everybody know what we have in store for them.” “At Hardsuit Labs we’re proud to have assembled a team of industry veterans who have worked on blockbuster titles, ranging from narrative-driven RPGs to action-packed shooters,” said Andy Kipling, CEO of Hardsuit Labs. “We started working on our pitch almost immediately after we heard that Paradox had acquired the IP and I’m thrilled that Paradox recognized our passion and abilities. We are honored to be bringing Bloodlines 2 to fans all over the world.” Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 features: Become the Ultimate Vampire - Immerse yourself in the World of Darkness and live out your vampire fantasy in a city filled with intriguing characters that react to your choices. You and your unique disciplines are a weapon in a forward-driving, fast-moving, melee-focussed combat system. Your power will grow as you advance, but remember to uphold the Masquerade and guard your humanity ... or face the consequences. Descend into Seattle’s Dark Heart and Survive the Vampire Elite - Seattle has always been run by vampires. Hunt your prey across Seattle locations faithfully reimagined in the World of Darkness. Meet the old blood founders present since the city’s birth and the new blood steering the tech money redefining the city. Everyone has hidden agendas - so choose your allies wisely. Enter into Uneasy Alliances - Choose a side among competing factions, each with their own unique traits and stories, in the war for Seattle’s blood trade. The world will judge you by the company you keep, but remember no one’s hands stay clean forever. Experience the Story - Written by the creative mind behind the original Bloodlines, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 brings the ambitions of the first to life and sees the return of a few fan favorite characters. NVIDIA GeForce RTX is the official graphics partner of Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2 and Paradox is excited to work with NVIDIA on bringing real-time ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS technology to the game.
  2. Some bad news for the hardcore enthusiasts out there: Mazda is dropping the manual option from the Mazda 6 mid-size sedan for the 2019 model year. The company confirmed the news to Jalopnik, citing low demand. Mazda refreshed its 6 sedan in late 2017, adding a turbocharged engine and some new, sleek looks. While we were worried Mazda would drop the manual then, the stick shift persisted, being only available with the base naturally aspirated 2.5-liter motor Mazda told Jalopnik that despite dropping the manual 6, it will continue to listen to its customers. “If their desires should change in the future,” Mazda told Jalopnik, it will “respond accordingly.” “At Mazda we are always listening to our fans, especially when it comes to what they are looking for from our vehicles,” Mazda told Jalopnik. “As we have moved the Mazda 6 upscale with the launch of the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models, we have seen less demand for a manual transmission option." This isn't great news, but don't worry too much. Mazda offers a manual on the all-new Mazda3, and, of course, the MX-5 Miata. But if you want a mid-size sedan with a stick-shift, you'll have to go elsewhere. May we suggest the Civic Type R-engined Honda Accord 2.0T?
  3. Emergency service workers formed human chain to save treasures The mayor of Paris tweeted her thanks to the city's workers, saying: "Thank you to the @PompiersParis policemen and the municipal agents who have made this evening a tremendous human chain to save the works of #NotreDame. The Crown of thorns, the tunic of Saint Louis and several other major works are now in a safe place." Next steps for the cathedral Gabriel Plus, spokesperson for Paris firefighters, said emergency services are currently "surveying the movement of the structures and extinguishing smoldering residues." Efforts are also being taken to ensure the building is as stable as it can be. 09:53 Plans to rebuild President Macron has pledged to rebuild the cathedral and is setting up an international fundraiser. French billionaire François-Henri Pinault has given €100m towards efforts. He said: "This tragedy strikes all the French and beyond all those who are attached to spiritual values. Faced with such a tragedy, everyone wants to revive this jewel of our heritage as quickly as possible. "My father and I have decided to release from the funds of Artemis a sum of €100m (£86.4m) to participate in the effort that will be necessary for the complete reconstruction of Notre Dame." Mr Pinault, who is married to actress Salma Hayek, was joined by LVMH chief executive Bernard Arnault who offered €200m (£173m) to reconstruct the "symbol of France". 6. If you're one of the 106 people who ordered a McLaren Speedtail, you really don't want to pick the wrong color. Most likely, that won't happen because the Speedtail has the ultimate car configurator—the only problem is that you have to go to McLaren's Woking, England headquarters to use it. RELATED STORY image Speedtail Was Inspired by Belly Tankers and Jets If you're the sort of person who can waste embarrassing amounts of time speccing out fantasy cars online—and if you're reading this website, there's a good chance you are—the Speedtail's "configurator" is what dreams are made of. After it showed off the Speedtail at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, McLaren invited us to experience a sort of version of the Speedtail's configurator for ourselves. Here's what we learned. If you've got a Speedtail on order, things kick off with a three-hour meeting at McLaren HQ with either Jo Lewis, the brand's head of color and materials, or one of her deputies. There, you'll get a preview of, well, everything. Paint samples, leather types, carbon-fiber weaves and colors, seat embroideries, and even precious metals for the badges. - Some highlights: There are multiple leather options, including natural leathers that wear over time, and one that's around 30 percent lighter than the traditional stuff you see in cars. Of course, the leather can be dyed or painted any color you like, and there are various embossings and embroideries with patterns inspired by the Speedtail's reverse-teardrop shape. McLaren's thing is carbon fiber, so there are lots of different types available for the Speedtail. You can have carbon with a thin layer of titanium placed on top to give it a unique coloration, while the wood-esque material is actually thin layers of the stuff with quartz added for color. image MCLAREN And if you want your front badge to be made from precious metals, 24-karat gold and platinum are available as options. Expensive options—I was told the platinum badge McLaren brought to the demo cost over €50,000 (roughly $56,000). Since time was limited, McLaren put teams of journalists to configure a car together. Ours started with a regular exterior color called Saros, a metallic gray-blue with hints of green in certain light. The color was adapted and modified in a software called Unreal Engine by a man who creates a realistic rendering of what your car will look like at the end of the day. I was put in charge of interior color choices. I went with blue leather as the primary color, with a vintage tan for the central drivers seat. For the original McLaren F1—the Speedtail's three-seat predecessor—designer Gordon Murray specified a contrasting color for the driver's seat, to draw the eye towards the car's unusual layout. I thought that'd be a nice way to pay homage to the original. My group's car turned out pretty well, given the time constraint plus the fact that it was multiple people all trying to make aesthetic decisions. With three hours alone with McLaren's designers, there's very little chance you'll end up with the wrong color combo. Lewis told me that while the customer obviously gets what they want, she'll help steer them in the right direction if need be. And if you doubt her abilities, check out the silver-blue show car McLaren used to show off the Speedtail to the world for the first time—the spec was all her. And, that three-hour meeting isn't all—McLaren will hold a second meeting with customers after they've had some time away to think about their configurations and pore over the renderings. Then, the spec of the car will be finalized, ready to enter production (which begins in a few month's time, when the Senna and Senna GTR are finished). Just based on my taste of the Speedtail's amazing "configurator," I can tell you that speccing one out is an amazing experience, but that's sort of what you expect from a car that costs over $2 million. At that price point, you're not simply buying a car; you're buying into an experience and you demand only the best. It's not picking up a car off a dealer lot. If it were up to me, I'd have a green one.
  7. One question I’m frequently asked is, “Should I follow interiors trends?” While we’re mostly fashion-literate and comfortable with the idea of adding a few trend-led pieces into our wardrobes – refreshing an old pair of trousers with a new zebra-print shirt, say – when it comes to interiors we’re afraid to join in. It’s understandable. After all, spending £20 on a pair of sandals is different to dropping several hundred pounds on a fashionable chair then regretting it. It’s easy to worry the item will look dated before we’ve had time to enjoy it or, crucially, feel we’ve had our money’s worth from it. So, what’s the answer? Well the first is that just as with your clothes, if you don’t like it...
  8. Four people have been shot outside a Melbourne nightclub in Australia, where a large police presence is responding to the incident. According to Victoria Police, the incident took place at the Love Machine nightclub in Prahran - just outside the city, at 3.20am local time. (5.20pm GMT) - Detectives and police are at the scene and no arrests have been made. Four victims have been taken to hospital, with two of the victims are in a critical condition in hospital. One of the critical victims is a 28 year-old man. A 50-year old man and a 29-year old man both have non-life threatening injuries.
  9. The Volvo wagon you really want remains the V60 T6 AWD with the R-Design trim, preferably in Fusion Red or Bursting Blue. Both colors are worth the extra $645. Whicheer shade you choose, your V60 T6 will be a sleek, sexy wagon with 316 twincharged horsepower, the correct footprint, all-wheel drive, and 90 percent of the raised version's flexibility. So what's the point of buying the turbocharged–not twincharged–250-horsepower T5 powertrain instead, in a car lifted by a noticeable 2.9-inches, with additional body cladding and automatic hill descent/hill start assist? The point is you, America. For the most part. Volvo has the XC90, the XC60 and the XC40 to satisfy the globe's lust for all-terrain vehicles that rarely leave the paved road. But they also know that for those who can't get past the compromised proportions of a crossover, or the image of an SUV, a slight lift won't spoil the wagons' appeal. And it's not like Volvo is new to this anti-SUV angle. While all hail the AMC Eagle, by the time your interior designer neighbor could get an Audi Allroad Quattro in 1999, Volvo had its raised and cladded V70 Cross Country on the market for two years. Volvo chose a quintessentially Scandinavian way to present the 2020 V60 Cross Country: a late winter drive that was all about feeling safe and comfortable through a polar vortex scenario. Also known as Lapland. We jumped into cars and drove from Luleå–a Swedish city know for its IT industry–into the late afternoon winter darkness. This was done very slowly, mostly through strictly speed restricted urban areas, or country roads locked between tall snow banks. All on tires I'm willing to bet you'll never spot on a car in your neck of the woods: Michelin’s X-Ice North 4s and Nokian's Hakkapeliitta 9s. These studded tires are magical on ice and compressed snow, but they also compromise handling on clean tarmac, not to mention how loud they are on any surface. Then again, the grip you get from them on otherwise hopeless roads is phenomenal. And with only one car ending up in a ditch that afternoon, I'm convinced that Volvo's latest traction control system with the V60's all-wheel drive (now branded BorgWarner instead of Haldex) does a good job of keeping the T5's 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque in line. Volvo knows how to tune for safety. The next day, Volvo let us loose on the ice track that Luleå keeps clean on the frozen northernmost arm of the Baltic Sea. The locals can enjoy an almost endless amount of three foot thick ice there every winter, as the low sodium waters of the Gulf of Bothnia give in to the arctic climate. It's pretty cool, both figuratively and at -16.6ºF at the time, literally. If you switch the V60 Cross Country's T5 into its sportiest mode, Volvo will now allow for more sliding before taking you back to adulthood with a power cut and plenty of understeer. Again, we tested this thoroughly for hours, with a few moose tests thrown in for good measure. On the frozen sea, with studs carving their lines into the ice as often as the ABS would allow for such aggression, the V60 Cross Country's sensibility prevailed.
  10. The wedding of King Joffrey to Margaery Tyrell in the second episode of the fourth series of Game Of Thrones, “The Lion And The Rose” took a week to film on the Croatian cliff tops, complete with a handmade wedding dress, a performance from Sigur Rós, a huge pie filled with live doves. The spectacle was a feast for the eyes, so it makes sense that when creating a Game Of Thrones-inspired dining experience the creators of Dinner Is Coming decided to parody the Purple Wedding.
  11. It's the first time a transgender woman has fought for her labour rights in a Russian courtroom. It was a brave step for Anastasia Vasilyeva (not her real name) to take her case to court. It is the first time a transgender woman has fought for her labour rights in a Russian courtroom - and a huge leap for women's rights in Russia that she won. Ms Vasilyeva was fired from her job at a St Petersburg printing press after she presented her employer with a new passport recognising her transition from male to female. "They were aware of the gender correction but did nothing until the change of documents which took almost a year. I carried out my duties well throughout that time but when they received my new documents they immediately referred to the list of prohibited professions and fired me," she said. Ms Vasilyeva had been with the company for 10 years. Russian law prohibits women from working in 456 different professions, citing protecting their reproductive health. It is a hangover from Soviet days - but its continued existence reflects the patriarchal nature and demographic focus of Vladimir Putin's Russia. This week, after a two-year legal battle, a court in St Petersburg ordered the Janoshka printworks to give Ms Vasilyeva her job back and to pay her 1.85 million roubles (£22,000) in lost income and 10,000 roubles (£120) in damages.
  12. Porsche stunned the world two years ago with the debut of its all-electric Mission E sedan concept, later promising it'd go into production as the Taycan in 2020. The spy photos seen throughout this post provide an early look at a Taycan prototype testing in public near Porsche's development center in Weissach, Germany. Here's everything we know about this incredibly exciting car. Porsche Is Aiming for a Sub-Eight Minute Nürburgring Lap Porsche is letting loose a few more details as the months wind down until the Taycan is finally revealed. One that stuck out to us—the car should be capable of a sub-eight at the Nürburgring. Porsche hasn't done it yet, but its simulations indicate that it's possible. For a fun comparison, the Porsche 911 GT3 made headlines 20 years ago when it ran a 7:56 on the track—faster than any production road car yet. Progress is an electric luxury sedan being able to achieve the same feat. Over at Roadshow, Tim Stevens got to ride along in a near-production Taycan during winter testing way up north in Sweden. There was some sideways action. The Taycan has a version of Porsche Stability Management (PSM, that allows for some yaw in PSM Sport mode, and a lot of yaw when it's switched off. Stevens also reports that the top-spec Taycan he was riding in had a two-speed transmission and a limited-slip differential at the rear, which should make sliding on low-grip surfaces easier. It's Called the Taycan At first, we thought Porsche would just call this car the "Mission E," but the company has announced that won't be the case. It'll be called the Taycan, pronounced tie-con. It's a Eurasian word that translates, roughly, to "lively young horse." "Our new electric sports car is strong and dependable; it’s a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomizes freedom," Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said in a statement announcing the name. It'll Be Priced Between the Cayenne and Panamera Speaking to Automotive News, the model-line director for the Taycan, Rober Meier, said "we're expecting a price somewhere between a Cayenne and a Panamera," when asked how much the EV will cost. In the US, the Cayenne starts at just under $66,000, while the Panamera starts at $85,000. So perhaps the Taycan will start in the $75,000 range. Of course, there'll be model variants offering more performance, so consider $75,000 a base price. You Can Put Down a Deposit Now On Porsche's website, there's a form for those who want to register their interest in buying a Taycan. Once that form is filled out, a Porsche dealer will contact those interested, who can then put a deposit down on the upcoming electric sedan. A Manhattan Porsche dealer told us the deposit is $2500. The Production Car Will Look Like the Concept The Mission E concept combined futuristic looks with classic Porsche proportions to stunning effect, and thankfully the production car will too. Oliver Blume told Car magazine that the production car is "very close to what you saw two years ago at Frankfurt. It will be exciting but a bit different from the concept." The folks over at TaycanForum.com previewed the design in the rendering you see above.
  13. back in 1993, Debenhams was considered a hub for fashion innovation. With the launch of its debut ‘Designers At Debenhams’ range, it became the first retailer to recognise the power of the high-end / high-street collaboration, boasting a roster of relevant young labels (Ben Di Lisi, John Rocha and Jasper Conran were among the earliest recruits) as partners. Trouble is, those were still the names responsible for propping up the department store’s fashion kudos when it finally slid into administration this week.
  14. Robbers stole millions of euros from a plane being loaded at Tirana International Airport of Mother Teresa Armed robbers have made off with a large sum of cash as it was being loaded on to a passenger plane in Albania. One robber was shot dead in an exchange of gunfire with police at Mother Teresa International Airport in Tirana on Tuesday afternoon, but the cash was not recovered. Sponsored link Recommended by Up to five robbers reportedly smashed through a wire and iron airport gate in a van and took the cash as it was being loaded on to an Austrian Airlines plane. As much as €10m (£8.6m) was taken according to Albanian media, though authorities have not confirmed the amount. The dead man has been identified by his wife as Admir Murataj, who had been at large since 2013 after he was one of a dozen Albanians who broke out of prison in Greece. Forensic experts search for evidence near the village of Rinas, near Tirana, following the heist Police said his accomplices fled and are still on the run. Defence minister Olta Xhacka said she ordered military police and a special air forces battalion to install a security perimeter around the airport. She said the government would "no longer allow the security of citizens and the country's image to suffer", as this is the second time in three years that Tirana airport has been targeted in a heist. Police said they found the burned-out remains of three vehicles that were used in the robbery, in three different locations. Passengers are reported to have been on the plane during the heist, and airport officials later said they were not in danger. The Vienna-bound plane eventually took off several hours late. Robbers stole millions of euros from an Austria Airlines aeroplane Albanian government ministers put blame on the company that runs the airport, Hong Kong-based China Everbright. Interior minister Sander Lleshaj said that "security mechanisms, which are under the concessionary's responsibility, have not functioned". The defence minister also accused the company of "persistent irresponsibility". China Everbright rejected these claims as "incorrect" and said the country's police were responsible for protecting the airport. In a statement, it said: "The airport does not belong to the Chinese. It belongs to all Albanians, it is part of Albania's territory and by law it is protected by the state police." Cash is often sent out of Albania by private banks because the country's central bank does not accept foreign currency. Austrian Airlines said it has temporarily suspended the transportation of cash. A similar robbery occurred at the airport in 2016. Albanian President Ilir Meta called on authorities to find the perpetrators as soon as possible. Speaking at a news conference, he said: "I consider such a repeat event... as a serious threat to national security, public order and the country's image."
  15. After years of waiting, the new Supra is here—Toyota showed off the 2020 Supra at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, and not a moment too soon. Here, we've compiled everything we know about the car, from interviews with various people behind the MkV Supra and our drive of a pre-production prototype last year. RELATED STORY image The New Toyota Supra Lives Up to the Legend We're also curious to see how the MkV stacks up against its legendary predecessor, the MkIV Turbo. Our first review of a Supra Turbo from March 1993 helps us see what 25-plus years of progress looks like. RELATED STORY image Drive Flashback: 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo Or not. When you compare the specs of the MkIV Supra Turbo and the MkV on paper, they're strikingly similar. The new car is a little lighter and shorter, but ever so slightly taller and wider. The MkV only has 15 more horsepower and 50 more lb-ft of torque than the MkIV Turbo, though it's shaved almost a second off the 0-60 mph time. The top speeds on both are electronically limited.
  16. t’s not often you wear something that everyone stops to comment on but my cross-body-phone-case has caused quite a sensation this past week. I thought wearing my phone slung across my jumpers and jackets might mark me out as The Forgetful One, or The Saddo Who Can’t be Parted From her Phone For More Than A Nano Second. Both true, as it happens, and not anything to which it seemed wise to draw attention. But in fact, comments have ranged to “”Oh my God, I love it’ to ‘Oh my God, where can I can it?”, with the occasional “Is it Valentino?” thrown in.
  17. A hunter who claims to have killed more than 5,000 elephants says he is "totally unrepentant" about his actions. Ron Thomson revealed he has also hunted 800 buffalo, up to 60 lions, 50 hippos and about 40 leopards among other animals, according to his website. - He was identified in a report by the Campaign To Ban Trophy Hunting, which said African elephant po[CENSORED]tions have plummeted from around 1.3m in the 1980s to about 400,000 today. In an interview with The Independent, Mr Thomson denied being a trophy hunter and insisted he killed the animals to help po[CENSORED]tions survive. The Zimbabwean claimed African elephants are "nowhere near extinct" and when there are healthy po[CENSORED]tions "you must ensure they don't increase beyond the capacity of their habitat". "I didn't have any sentiment," he said. - "I'm totally unrepentant, a hundred - ten thousand - times over for any of the hunting I've done because that's not the problem. "The problem is we've got a bunch of so-called experts from the West telling us what to do. I'm a trained university ecologist - I must surely know something about this." - He added that he no longer regularly hunts and insisted his actions were not out of "bloodlust" but part of his job. According to his website, Mr Thomson, 77, worked with national parks and wildlife management for 58 years and his past posts included being the provincial game warden in charge of Hwange National Park, one of Africa's biggest game reserves. In a report published on Monday, the Campaign To Ban Trophy Hunting said the amount of ivory taken by trophy hunters has increased 12-fold over the past 30 years. It named Britain as one of 12 countries whose hunters have taken more than 1,000 elephant trophies and brought home over a ton of ivory from animals killed for sport. Demonstrators will march to 10 Downing Street on Saturday to hand in a letter calling for a ban on UK imports of hunting trophies - one of a series of protests taking place in 70 cities around the world. - Eduardo Goncalves, founder of the Campaign To Ban Trophy Hunting, said a recent surge in elephant hunting showed the industry is "out of control". "The trophy hunting industry is slaughtering elephants left, right and centre," he said. "Killing elephants for 'fun' is unacceptable, even more so because of the serious threat to its survival. Trophy hunting is a cruel and abhorrent hangover from colonial times. "The recent surge in elephant hunting shows the industry is out of control. It threatens to push endangered species to the point of no return." The organisation said its letter has been signed by the leaders of 70 wildlife and animal welfare groups around the world and celebrities including Joanna Lumley, Sir Michael Palin and Ed Sheeran.
  18. After ending production in 1996, the legendary Ford Bronco is making a comeback. Ford announced the Bronco's eventual return at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit back in 2017, and we've been waiting patiently ever since. As for when it'll make its debut, we're not 100-percent sure. Ford said it'll arrive by 2020, though, so there's a very good chance we'll see it debut at some point this year. Pictured above and throughout: speculative renderings of the 2020 Bronco from fan-forum Bronco6G.com. But, there is quite a lot we do know about the Bronco, based on credible rumors and comments from various Ford higher-ups since the announcement of the 4x4's return. We've compiled all that info for you here. This story will be continually updated as new information is learned. - Here's a Test Mule Driving Around Michigan Our spy photographer managed to nab some good shots of a Bronco test mule out in public in Michigan. The bodywork is clearly from a current-generation Ranger pickup, but note how far back the rear wheels are pushed in this mule. Short overhangs are great for off-roading, so it seems like Ford is really trying to make this thing a Jeep rival. This truck is also wearing BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, which you can get for FX4-package Rangers and on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. There Will Reportedly Be a Two-Door The Jeep Wrangler's huge success is directly attributable to the availability of a four-door model, but you can still get a short-wheelbase two-door version. Ford will almost assuredly offer a four-door Bronco, but there's been a question if there'll be a two-door to rival the shorty Wrangler. But, Automotive News now reports that at a recent dealer event in Palm Springs, Ford showed off a two-door Bronco prototype. Dealer sources speaking anonymously to Automotive News said the Bronco had a retro design with round headlights and a square grille with the truck's name stamped across. The Doors and Roof Will Come Off One of the big appeals of the Wrangler are that its doors and roof are removable. The same will be true of the Bronco, which according to Automotive News, will offer a removable hardtop and doors that can be stored in the trunk. Apparently, the mirrors will be mounted to the A-pillars, and not the doors as on a Wrangler. This means you'll still have mirrors when you take the doors off. Clever. It'll Be Based on the New Ranger When Ford announced the Bronco was making a comeback, it also confirmed that the mid-size Ranger would make a return. The 2019 Ranger arrived last January, and we've already driven it. Back in 2017, Ford global operations president Joe Hinrichs confirmed to Road & Track that the Bronco and the Ranger would share a platform. The Ranger might be new for the US, but it's actually somewhat of an old truck—it was released originally for the Asia-Pacific market in 2010 and received a significant update in 2015. For the US, the platform was modified even further still, with a new, fully-boxed frame.

Arizonans Danielle Duboise (above right) and Whitney Tingle (above left) have won quite the A-list following for plant-based meal-delivery service Sakara Life – and are on a ‘huge mission to change as many lives as possible’, says Danielle. - Sakara began as a personal endeavour to improve their own diets. For Whitney, a corporate banking career in New York meant crazy hours and mindless eating, plus almost a stone of weight gain and flare-ups of cystic acne. Danielle, meanwhile, was desperate to break a cycle of yo-yo dieting, cleanses and detoxes, and IBS that had left her
relationship with food and health off-kilter. The childhood friends started to create dishes majoring on leafy greens, colourful plants and healthy fats, developing a philosophy that did away with calorie-counting and placed an emphasis on nutrient-dense ingredients. Dishes made for friends and neighbours became the basis of a meal-delivery programme that has expanded rapidly since Whitney and Danielle first dropped off breakfast pumpkin bread and butternut squash lasagne to clients on their bicycles in New York. ‘It’s been an incredible journey,’ says Whitney, ‘and we’re thrilled to inspire more people to create meals that nourish their mind, body and soul.’ Cue their first cookbook, with client favourites such as the ‘daydreamer’ soba noodle bowl with an addictive tahini and miso sauce, and a cucumber, carrot and pomegranate salad that’s ‘beauty in a bowl’. There’s even a G&T with a twist of lemon and vanilla, shared below. Danielle stresses ‘there are no foods you can’t eat’. They work on the premise that the more leafy greens you have, the more you crave. ‘Eating this way
is truly transformative and speaks for
itself,’ says Whitney. A clutch of celebrity endorsements sweetens the deal.

The bloodiest day of border protests in the past year was 14 May, when more than 60 Palestinians are thought to have been killed by Israeli gunfire. The demonstration was particularly violent because of the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem - not formally recognised by the international community as Israel's capital - after a decision to move it from Tel Aviv.
