China's National Cultural Heritage Administration reported this Friday that more than 900 pieces of cultural relics were found and recovered from two ancient shipwrecks in the South Sea. At a press conference held in Hainan province, in southern China, the recovery work carried out between 2023 and 2024 by research institutes was announced. A local museum also participated in the recovery of a total of 890 pieces of relics found in the wrecked ship No. 1, including porcelain and ceramic objects, as well as copper coins. From shipwreck No. 2, 38 ancient artifacts were recovered in addition to wood, turban snails, deer antlers, porcelain products and pottery.
