https://www.techradar.com/news/microsofts-making-windows-11-faster-and-getting-inspiration-from-vista Microsoft appears to be making some much-needed changes to Windows 11 to help its new operating system run faster. As Windows Latest reports, Microsoft is actually undoing one of the changes it made back in 2019, when it added a feature to the Windows File Explorer search box that allowed you to search your OneDrive cloud storage alongside local files. The ‘Recent files’ section of Explorer also got support for Office.com online files. While this addition may have been useful for people who store (or create) a lot of files using Microsoft’s online services, if you don’t use them (or you use alternatives like Google Drive), then this feature is pretty pointless. Even worse, however, is that it made File Explorer run more slowly in both Windows 10 and Windows 11. If You Need to Kill Time on Your Computer, this City-Building Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Because the File Explorer is such an integral part of Windows, it means that if it starts to perform poorly, it can cause your entire PC to feel sluggish. It’s good news, then, that it looks like Microsoft is looking to address this issue in an upcoming version of Windows 11. An early build that some people have been testing have now got the ability to turn off Office.com integration in File Explorer. While the option to turn it off is hidden away in the rather obscure Group Policy editor tool, it will allow you to stop Explorer from including online Office.com files. This option will also stop the Windows 11 Start menu from searching for and displaying online Office documents. By turning it off, Windows 11 won’t try to connect to and search for online Office files, which should make the operating system as a whole feel faster to use. Of course, if you do find this feature useful, you’ll still be able to use it, as it’ll remain turned on by default. Windows Vista-like gadgets to return Microsoft isn’t just looking at its past to fix mistakes – it seems it’s also taking inspiration from them, as Windows Latest also reports that Windows 11 could see the return of Windows Vista-like gadgets. It’s no secret that Windows Vista was one of the more unpo[CENSORED]r versions of the operating system, so it seems slightly surprising that Microsoft would take any of its features for inspiration for Windows 11. That’s especially true of gadgets. These were basic apps that you could pin to the desktop and display various information, such as your email inbox. Third party companies were also encouraged to create their own gadgets, which some of them did at first. However, not only did Windows Vista prove to be unpo[CENSORED]r, but its gadgets feature was even more unloved, leading to many companies to abandon support for them. However, sources have indicated to Windows Latest that Microsoft is planning to return to this idea – but with some key changes. Apparently, they will now be called widgets, and will only be shown in Windows 11’s widget board, and won’t be added to the desktop. At the moment, the widget board only contains Microsoft-made widgets, so allowing third party support could see widgets become more useful. There is a risk, however, of history repeating itself. Microsoft needs to ensure that users find widgets useful. If they don’t use them, then third party companies won’t bother making them. While keeping widgets to the widget board will mean user’s desktops don’t become cluttered, it could also just mean widgets are hidden out of sight. If you don’t use the widget board regularly (and we’d guess most users currently don’t), then you may forget they are even there, limiting how useful they actually are. What Microsoft doesn’t want to do is add yet another feature to Windows 11 that no one uses. Let’s hope this isn’t the case. Matt (Twitter) is TechRadar's Senior Computing editor. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/ces-2022-award-outs-amd-ryzen-6000-chips-with-rdna2-ddr5-and-pluton-tech AMD CEO Lisa Su tweeted an image this morning that appeared to be AMD's upcoming Ryzen 6000 'Rembrandt' mobile processors, and now the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the group behind CES, has revealed more details about the chip via a new Honoree award posted to its website. The listing confirms the new chips come with the RDNA2 graphics architecture, a massive step forward from the Vega graphics on the current-gen Ryzen 5000 Mobile 'Cezanne' chips. The new chips also support "DDR5 technologies,' another nice step forward from the DDR4/LPDDR4X support with the previous-gen chips. As with all of AMD's mobile processors, these chips will eventually come to the desktop PC, too, much as we see with the impressive Cezanne-powered Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 5 5600G. Trail Cam Photos Captured In The Wilderness The award also lists support for AI-audio processing and Microsoft's Pluton technology, with the latter being the first time we've seen this new security tech in a PC. Pluton enables more robust security that helps prevent physical attacks and encryption key theft while protecting against firmware attacks, a welcome feature when you're on the go with your laptop. This tech originally debuted in the Xbox and AMD's EPYC data center processors. Given the teaser shot and the CES 2022 award, it's assured that AMD will share more details about the Ryzen 6000 Mobile processors tomorrow during its keynote. You can see that here at 7am PT. https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-teases-a-highly-binned-12900k/ Intel has taken to Twitter to tease a higher clocked i9 12900K. If past precedent is anything to go by, the chip in question should receive Core i9 12900KS branding. With a boost clock of up to 5.5 GHz, such a chip would definitely indicate that Intel’s 10nm (Sorry, Intel 7) process is now working very well, and those years of 10nm memes are well and truly in the past. Intel’s tweet includes a screenshot that shows one of the CPU cores clocked at 5.5 GHz with the rest of the P cores clocked at 5.2 GHz. The E cores appear to be clocked at 4.0 GHz. This compares to the standard 12900K, which is able to boost to 5.2 GHz on one or two cores and up to 5.0 on all cores, with its E cores coming in at 3.9 GHz. It’s important to note that the screenshot only shows the current CPU clocks. Although the 7-zip benchmark that’s being used is active and loading up the CPU, a pinch of salt is still required, at least until we see how the chip behaves over a complete longer term benchmark run, and not just one snapshot of it. If You Like to Play, this City-Building Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game Best graphics card: your perfect pixel-pusher awaits Best SSD for gaming: get into the game ahead of the rest While the 12900K is a powerful chip, it's not known for stunning power efficiency when under an all core load. It carries a PL2 power rating of 241W, so we can expect the 12900KS to surpass this. If it’s a highly binned die, the difference may not be a lot, but if Intel is just brute forcing non binned dies to reach higher clocks, then that PL2 reading could push closer to 300W. We’ll have to test this for ourselves if we can get one into our hot little hands. Power aside, A 12900KS would be a mega gaming CPU and if you’re building a top shelf gaming rig with something like a 3090 Ti Kingpin, then the 12900KS is probably going to be the CPU that you’d use to power your rig, probably with a custom water loop to keep it all humming along. Overclocked of course! This isn’t the first time we’ve had a tease of the 12900KS. The developers of the AIDA64 software suite included a specific mention of the chip in the changelog for its Dec 22 beta. We can expect Intel to show off the 12900KS and a lot of other tasty tech at its CES press event. Chris' gaming experiences go back to the mid-nineties when he conned his parents into buying an 'educational PC' that was conveniently overpowered to play Doom and Tie Fighter. He developed a love of extreme overclocking that destroyed his savings despite the cheaper hardware on offer via his job at a PC store. To afford more LN2 he began moonlighting as a reviewer for VR-Zone before jumping the fence to work for MSI Australia. Since then, he's gone back to journalism, enthusiastically reviewing the latest and greatest components for PC & Tech Authority, PC Powerplay and currently Australian Personal Computer magazine and PC Gamer. Chris still puts far too many hours into Borderlands 3, always striving to become a more efficient killer.

https://www.techradar.com/news/seventy-pounds-for-final-fantasy-vii-on-pc-is-too-high-a-price There comes a time where the principal in paying for a game overtakes your hype for the game. That happened with Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade coming to PC. This is the enhanced port that came out earlier this year, and it was announced during The Game Awards last night. While I woke up with glee that it was finally confirmed, it quickly turned to disbelief once I discovered the price. While Final Fantasy VIII will always be my favorite entry in the series, I was caught up in the hype of the remake of Final Fantasy VII when it was first announced in 2015. Do You Like to Play on Your Computer? This Vintage Game is a Must-Have. No Ads, No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game The cheers at the Sony conference at E3 that year, alongside Shenmue 3 and The Last Guardian being showcased, made me excited for Final Fantasy again. But at a price of $70 / £70 for the PC version that has been leaked by the Epic Games Store, I'm waiting for the sale. It's been six years between the announcement of the remake at E3 and the PC port finally being made official. While it was first released on PS4 in 2020 to great reviews, I was still holding out for it to either arrive on Game Pass or another storefront on PC eventually. It took longer than I expected, but as soon as I saw the news, a wave of disappointment came crashing down around me. On Amazon, you can buy the PS4 version for $35 / £25 right now, or the PS5 version that includes Intergrade for $58 / £40. If you own the PS4 version but have a PS5, you can upgrade for free, but the DLC featuring Yuffie costs $19.99 / $14.99. This still equals to roughly $55 / £40 for the same package as what's being offered for the upcoming PC port. Final Fantasy VII REMAKE: Intergrade can be wishlisted on the Epic Games Store for now, but the price looks to be $70 / £75 when it releases on December 16.

https://www.pcgamer.com/company-behind-gamer-bed-releases-desktop-hand-massager/ Bauhutte’s next innovation that gamers were too scared to ever ask for is a little bit different. Spotted by Gizmodo, Bauhutte’s Hand Massager is designed to sit on a gamers desk ready to do as its name suggests. The unit looks a lot like a UV light machine for setting certain nail polishes, but with a black gamer flair. Best gaming mouse: the top rodents for gaming Best gaming keyboard: your PC's best friend... Best gaming headset: don't ignore in-game audio Inside the hand sized box are 15 air cushions which can be set to different intensities and areas when providing hand massages. There are different pressures, and separate modes for the whole hand or just getting your digits ironed out. Plus there’s even a heater to help with pesky cold fingers before a game or potential tendon strain. If You Like to Play on Your Computer, this Vintage Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game For the moment the Hand Massager is only available on Bauhutte’s Japanese website, and retails for the equivalent of about $150 USD. It sounds a little ridiculous but as someone who uses a computer a lot and has some RSI to prove it, I wouldn’t say no. Professional gamers, streamers, and esports players are likely to be the target market, like most of Bauhutte’s niche gamer products. However, if there are any health benefits to be had this could be good for computer users, or even hand users of all stripes.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-evga-kingpin-rtx-3090-ti-may-feature-1275w-of-power-inputs/ The gamer that has everything will soon have a new flagship graphics card to lust after. The RTX 3090 Ti is very likely the best Ampere card that will ever be released, and the best of any card until next generation Ada Lovelace cards appear later in the year. The 3090 Ti might be a monster, and on the Nvidia side of things, there are none more powerful than EVGA's Kingpin models. This is a card that’s expected to be one of, if not the most expensive consumer level graphics cards ever, and with its dual 12-pin power connectors, it can provide up to 1275W of juice. Yes. Almost 1.3 KW of power. Best CPU for gaming: the top chips from Intel and AMD Best graphics card: your perfect pixel-pusher awaits Best SSD for gaming: get into the game ahead of the rest A user at the QuasarZone forums and on Twitter, Harukaze5719 posted some details on the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin card. Anyone that’s seen or more luckily, owned a Kingpin GPU knows that these are extreme graphics cards with specs and a PCB built for ln2 overclocking, with the highest clocks and most powerful VRMs of all. A new flagship Kingpin card isn’t surprising in itself, but the rumor that the card will include dual 12-pin power connectors very much is. At 600w per connector plus the 75W from the slot, this means you'll have up to 1275W on tap. Of course, the card won’t consume that much, but even under 100% stock operation, we’re surely looking at well over 400W - and possibly a lot more. This means the card will require either a very beefy three to four slot design, or a hybrid AIO cooling solution such as that included with the current Kingpin RTX 3090 (pictured above). Do You Like to Play on Your Computer? This Vintage Game is a Must-Have. No Ads, No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game The 3090 Ti is the granddaddy of the Ampere generation. Its expected to be equipped with the fully unlocked GA102 GPU, with 10752 cores and 24GB of 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory. This compares to the 10496 and 19.5Gbps of the RTX 3090. The 3090 carries a 350W TDP, or higher with custom models. So we can expect the base 3090 Ti to push over the 400W barrier, with custom cards like the Kingpin probably pushing the 500W mark. And that’s before taking any overclocking into consideration which is what these cards are built for.

https://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/blackberry-phone-legacy-services-close-shut-end-of-life-january-4-2022-2683435 BlackBerry has already bitten the dust in the smartphone market and lost its charm as even its devoted fans are nowadays perhaps using an iPhone or an Android handset. But still, as some people might be using a BlackBerry phone, the Canadian company has reiterated that its devices will no longer be able to support legacy services over cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity starting next week. The company initially announced the move in September last year but extended its service as “an expression of thanks” to its loyal customers and partners. The update is notably not applicable to BlackBerry phones based on the Android operating system. As of January 4, devices based on BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and earlier versions, will no longer be able to “reliably function,” the company said in an updated note on its website. This means that there will be no guarantee that BlackBerry phones on cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity will be able to allow data access, make phone calls, send text messages, and even the emergency 911 functionality. BlackBerry 5G Phone 'Pre-Commitment Program' Promises Early Access to Devices It is not surprising as BlackBerry had lost its ground in the early 2010s. The Waterloo, Ontario-headquartered company tried hard to regain attraction. In 2013, it brought BlackBerry 10 as a replacement of the aging BlackBerry OS to appeal to Android and iOS users. The company also finally moved to Android in 2015 and brought BlackBerry Priv as a new slider phone to take on the flagships of Apple and Samsung. All that, however, did not help it gain any success. In 2016, BlackBerry ultimately brought licensing partners including TCL Communication for global markets and Optiemus Infracom in India to retain its brand name with third-party devices. The licensing partners introduced models including BlackBerry KeyOne and Key2. LG Mobile Phone Business Closed Down Worldwide Due to Losses However, TCL in February 2020 announced that it would no longer produce BlackBerry phones. Other brand licensees have also maintained silence since October 2018 — following the launch of BlackBerry Key2 LE which came as the last phone brought under the brand. Texas-based startup OnwardMobility in 2020 teased to launch a 5G BlackBerry phone in 2021. That model has not yet emerged, though. The departure of legacy services from BlackBerry phones doesn't mean that the brand BlackBerry is dead altogether. The company is currently busy developing its security software and services for various enterprises and governments around the world. BlackBerry Reports Higher Software, Licensing Demand Blackberry Rides Strong Cybersecurity Demand to Beat Revenue Estimates BlackBerry as a company even beat Wall Street estimates for its third-quarter revenue last week and reported a net profit of $74 million (roughly Rs. 551 crore). That was significant in comparison with a loss of $130 million (roughly Rs. 970 crore) a year earlier. What are the best phones of 2021? We discuss this on Orbital, the Gadgets 360 podcast. Orbital is available on Spotify, Gaana, JioSaavn, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and wherever you get your podcasts.

https://www.techradar.com/news/the-most-po[CENSORED]r-firefox-extensions-of-2021-were-both-adblockers Customizing Mozilla's browser with add-ons can give you a whole new experience when browsing the web though only one-third of Firefox users have installed an extension or theme. Among the 100m+ users that did install an extension this year, adblockers were the most po[CENSORED]r with Adblock Plus taking the top spot followed by uBlock Origin. Across the span of 2021, Adblock Plus had an average of over 6.1m daily users while uBlock Origin averaged just over 5m+ daily users over the course of the year. While Adblock Plus led the charge at the beginning of the year, uBlock Origin was able to close the gap and if current usage trends among Firefox users continue, it may take the top spot in early 2022 according to a new blog post from Mozilla. If You Spend Time on Your Computer, this Vintage Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game One of the reasons users choose Firefox as their preferred browser is to further protect their privacy online. While adblockers can stop ads from following you around the web, other po[CENSORED]r extensions this year that protect against invasive tracking include Mozilla's own Facebook Container with 1.7m daily active users and Ghostery with 1.1m daily active users. Firefox Recommended Extensions In addition to putting out a list of the most po[CENSORED]r extensions each year, the Firefox Recommended Extensions program is a curated list of third party extensions that meet Mozilla's highest standards of security, utility and user experience. For those who often find themselves drowning in a sea of open browser tabs, Tab Stash may be the perfect extension as it adds a toolbar button that when clicked, saves all of your open tabs as temporary bookmarks. If you're using Firefox Sync, the service will automatically show your Tab Stash bookmarks synced to other devices. Another interesting extension highlighted by Mozilla is Stylebot. This extension gives you the power to dramatically alter the way any website looks from font sizes to color schemes to content layout. Perhaps you're intrigued by vertical tabs in Microsoft Edge? Then the Sideberry extension can be used to organize your open tabs in a cascading “tree” tucked away to the side of your browser. While web browsers have certainly come a long way, extensions allow you to further customize their look and fell as well as their functionality which can help you be more productive or just have a better browsing experience overall. https://www.pcgamer.com/budget-gaming-pcs-may-be-back-with-these-alder-lake-msi-b660-motherboard-price-leaks/ Finally some good news for any folks out there trying to build a PC on a budget. An accidental early listing has given us a look at how much the upcoming line of Intel’s B660 chipset motherboards are going to be, and the prices didn’t even make me cry a little. Once again, we have the reputable leaker momomo_us on Twitter to thank for this new glimpse into what could be a new, more affordable PC gaming future. The account shared some of the early specs for cheaper Alder Lake mobos, and now shares the listings for some of MSI’s range of Intel’s B660 motherboards which range from as cheap as €148.29 up to €186.87, which is great news for anyone looking to dip their toes into Alder Lake. Best high refresh rate monitor: screaming quick screens Best 4K monitor for gaming: when only high-res will do Best 4K TV for gaming: big-screen 4K PC gaming Currently if you’re building an Alder Lake PC you’re using a Z690 board, like the ASRock Z690 Taichi. Good Z690 mobos absolutely pack a bunch of features in, but they also lean on the more expensive side thanks to this. Even the cheaper (relatively speaking) MSI MPG Z690 Carbon Wifi motherboard isn't really cheap. MSI’s upcoming Godlike is going to be one epic example of an absolutely not cheap Alder Lake board, so it’s nice to see the B660s priced so reasonably. This is going to pair especially well with one of Intel’s new lower powered 12th gen chips coming up soon. The i5 12400 is looking particularly special for a budget CPU, and momomo_us even leaked prices for these for us just recently too. B660s are quite stripped down when it comes to connectivity options when you compare them to a Z690 board. There’s only one PCIe Gen 5 slot, for example, but for most gamers it’s still more than enough, and there are far fewer sacrifices than other budget options. Cheap PCs seem possible again, all you’d have to do is find a graphics card, somehow.

https://www.pcgamer.com/surreal-visual-novel-milk-inside-a-bag-of-milk-has-a-sequel-now-milk-outside-a-bag-of-milk/ One of the stranger visual novels I've ever enjoyed, Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk released on Steam in August of 2020 and gave an affecting and melancholy look inside a person's head. It's a weird and somewhat upsetting game that switches back and forth between playing with clever words and delivering insights into moments of acute psychological trauma. Milk inside is very short and has historically sold for about a dollar. It's one of the few games I'd call somewhat literary, in that it's the product of a single person, writer-designer-programmer Nikita Kryukov. Well, now Kryukov has made a sequel—one that's much longer and sells for nine dollars rather than one. Both games take place inside and outside the head of a single girl for whom life is very hard. Your job is to make her world a little happier, which is perhaps harder than you'd like it to be. If You Like to Play, this City-Building Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game The aptly titled Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk released on Steam last month, and takes the psychedelic, dissociated narrative and writing style of the first game to the next level with a much higher variability each time you play. It starts the moment the first game ends. You can find Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk on Steam and on itch.io. https://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/google-pixel-6-pro-december-2021-update-pause-call-drop-issues-2681436 Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro December 2021 update has been paused due to reports of call drops, the company has said. The technology giant has said that they have identified a fix that will roll out in a software update by late January. Google's newest phones have been at the centre of controversy because of various glitches on the software front. Since the phones' launch in October, various users of the newest Pixel smartphones have been complaining of issues. With a statement on its support page acknowledging the problem, Google said it has identified a fix to the problem that various Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users reported regarding call drops or disconnection. It also said that the fix will be rolled out in a software update by late January, and it will “include all the fixes and improvements that were originally planned in December”. This means that users will get features such as digital car key support in certain regions, Quick Tap to Snap, improvements in Now Playing feature and Recorder. If you are among those who have installed the update and are not experiencing any problem related to mobile connectivity issues, you can continue using the phone. https://www.techradar.com/news/microsoft-teams-update-will-save-you-from-this-embarrassing-meeting-mistake Having music or other audio playing during a video call can be distracting for attendees and embarrassing for users which is why Microsoft added a noise suppression feature to its video conferencing software earlier this year. This feature is now enabled by default for most users and as a result, any background noise is automatically removed during meetings in Microsoft Teams. While you may want music and other background noise to be removed from your speeches and presentations, this isn't always the case which is why Microsoft also created a high-fidelity music mode. When enabled, this mode streams the sound from your laptop or PC including all background sounds in high quality. If You Spend Time on Your Computer, this Vintage Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game Enabling high-fidelity mode According to a new post in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the software giant has developed a new machine learning-based music detector that can let users know whenever music is detected. Once this feature rolls out in January of 2022, Teams users will see a notification at the bottom of their screen which reads “Music is detected and may be suppressed. Enable High fidelity mode to make sure everyone clearly hears your music” alongside a button to enable high fidelity mode as well as another button to dismiss the notification altogether. While you still may not want background music to be heard during important business meetings, this feature could be useful for those giving music or even dance lessons over Teams. https://www.pcgamer.com/tiktok-usurps-google-as-top-website/ It’s fairly unsurprising that the most po[CENSORED]r website in the world tends to be Google.com. People all over the world use Google every day to search the web for almost anything. Most people I know have it as their homepage for quick searches. Even if they didn’t want to use it when opening a browser, it still gets loaded up. So, for good reason, most website ranking tools online are pretty steadfast in giving Google the top spot in traffic, most years. That might just be changing, as web security and optimisation company CloudFlare's (Thanks Gizmodo) ranking website traffic data for 2021 places TikTok ahead of Google for the most po[CENSORED]r domains. Last year Google took out first place, and the newer social media website only sat at 7th place. CloudFlare explains TikTok first came out ahead of Google for a day in February 2021 and continued to do so here and there. It wasn’t until August that TikTok was regularly beating out Google in daily traffic. CloudFlare includes more information about its rankings, which explains they are calculated by analysing aggregate data and the results are a combination of po[CENSORED]rity, the percentage change in traffic patterns, and the change in rank over time. Domains are grouped and displayed under their most well known version, and pornography and content servers were excluded from the rankings. TikTok is also the only non-US company to make CloudFlare’s top ten, being owned by Chinese parent company ByteDance. How to buy a graphics card: tips on buying a graphics card in the barren silicon landscape that is 2021 This could be why all the other website ranking services I’ve checked, don’t exactly agree with CloudFlare’s rankings, or at least not yet. Each still puts Google.com firmly at the top followed by the usual suspects of Facebook and Amazon. RankRanger for example doesn’t show TikTok until spot 69, which it had made a nice climb from position 187 to get there. SimilarWeb, which is shown on Wikipedia for website rankings puts TikTok at 22nd as of November 1, 2021. Given that TikTok is primarily used as an App, it could be that these sites don’t factor that data in, or some other factor in measuring making up this difference, or maybe they just haven’t quite caught up.

https://www.pcgamer.com/kill-bizarre-demons-and-use-their-blood-as-paint-in-mad-roguelike-brutal-orchestra/ Okay here's the setup for Brutal Orchestra: You're dead, someone killed you, and you can't do anything about escaping purgatory but you can definitely set yourself up for revenge when they arrive here too. Building a party 20 other weird underworld rejects, you're guided across a purgatory landscape inspired by the bizarre paintings of Hieronymous Bosch and Pieter Bruegel, where demons are fish inside a human skinsuit or have trumpets in their butts, and honestly those are the much tamer ideas in here. It's a tactical and strategic battle system, one where you move characters between five positions to attack or avoid attacks, trying to get optimal faceoffs with your enemies' own five units. The whole system is powered by pigment, the goopy blood and/or viscera inside your enemies. Every character skill costs pigment of a certain color combination, and you get more pigment by hitting enemies whose health bar is that color. What's great about that system is that you can mess up by killing enemies in a bad order, leaving some of your characters unable to get more resources to act. You can also mana burn yourself, as having too much pigment deals damage when you act. If You Need to Kill Time on Your Computer, this City-Building Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game It's fully released and quite polished. I've only spent a few hours with it, but this might be my new roguelike obsession. You can find Brutal Orchestra on Steam and on itch.io. Jon Bolding is a games writer and critic with an extensive background in strategy games. When he's not on his PC, he can be found playing every tabletop game under the sun.

https://www.techradar.com/news/what-is-brainstorming In the broadest sense, brainstorming is the collective consideration of ideas in order to arrive at a solution to a predefined problem. More strictly, it refers to a technique businesses can apply to come up with fresh, creative, and focused ideas. While being superficially similar to the concepts of problem-solving and mind mapping, brainstorming is most often a collective effort, and does not always have to target a specific issue. It is a technique designed to stimulate creativity in the most spontaneous way possible, with the goal of generating a list of quality ideas and suggestions from the participants. Brainstorming usually takes place in a less formal setting, primarily to restrict inhibitions on speaking one’s mind and promote creative thinking without the fear of criticism. In business, brainstorming is a well-established approach to creating ideas that serve as intellectual resources and commodities. Despite having the same outcomes, the applications of brainstorming vary across industries, with marketing brainstorming being different from the sessions more focused on the technical side of the business. For example, many brainstorming sessions concern coming up with ideas on how to win over a new customer base, introduce new technologies, streamline company operations, etc. If You Need to Kill Time on Your Computer, this City-Building Game is a Must-Have. No Install. Forge of Empires - Free Online Game Who should do brainstorming? Brainstorming was developed as a technique by Alex F. Osborne in 1939 as a response to his team’s inability to come up with useful ideas. Osborne started working on developing group sessions in which individuals would present their opinions in an informal manner under the guidance of an executive - and this general format of brainstorming still persists today.

https://www.pcgamer.com/this-vast-120hz-4k-oled-gaming-tv-is-dollar800-off-right-now/ For an impressive 4K OLED gaming TV such as the LG OLED65CX, B&H Photo is offering a healthy holiday discount right now—one that even beats the price you might've seen it going for on Black Friday, according to the three wise camels. Down from its usual price of $2,796.99, the OLED65CX is now sitting pretty at $1,996.99. That's a superb $800 discount on one of the most sought after gaming televisions of the past year. In fact, the 48-inch model still sits atop our best TVs for gaming guide. LG OLED65CX | 4K | 65-inch | 120Hz refresh | $2,796.99 LG OLED65CX | 4K | 65-inch | 120Hz refresh | $2,796.99 $1,996.99 at B&H Photo (save $800) Coming with FreeSync and G-Sync support, this is a great TV for gaming. With epic contrast, fantastic response times, and low input lag, this smart and vast 65-inch gaming TV doesn't leave much to be desired. Since it came into being, this TV has been replaced by the newer C1 model, but that doesn't make this 2020 design any less tempting. Exactly why, particularly for us lot, is that it's slightly better for gaming. The CX model has everything the C1 does: FreeSync and G-Sync support, blindingly good contrast, incredible response times, and low input lag. But to top it off, the CX also includes Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support. That means it can automatically adapts the refresh rate to match whatever frame rate your input device is pumping out, up to a 120Hz maximum. All that for under $2,000 is not a deal to be sniffed at, especially if you're looking for something to make up for a forgotten Christmas present for your favourite gamer.

https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-a-game-about-selling-maple-syrup-to-soup-up-your-trashy-car-for-street-racing/ If you also like weird games that are oddly specific and a clear labor of love, well, have I got one for you: Mon Bazou, which in Quebecois French translates roughly to "my piece of shit car," is a game about making money doing odd jobs in order to soup up the titular Bazou into a real race car. It all takes place in Canada, 2005, around "the hot scene of tuned cars and wanna-be streets racers." Though Mon Bazou is in Early Access, it's clearly a labor of love by solo developer SantaGoat. I'm honestly impressed by how much is in it, given that it only released a few weeks ago. As of this writing, it has 119 Steam reviews that are 99% positive. To me, that's the same energy that made My Summer Car such a success and earned it a spot on our best racing games roundup. You can cut wood, sell the wood, build a garage out of the wood, build a sugar shack to harvest maple syrup, deliver pizzas at night, or spend it racing and betting on races, hell, scavenge the junkyard to get good parts for your rides. Just make sure to make enough money to keep gas in the tank. In short, live the rural Canadian dream of making your own poutine and growing weed in the woods. Big Boss of internet games Hero Wars There are lots of upgrades to be done on the titular car, as well as mechanics for a trailer, boat, and ATV. It's a rural and pedestrian game with a strong sense of humor. It's about being happily engrossed in one's hobbies.
