Today, CAPCOM announced Monster Hunter Now, a mobile game created by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. Monster Hunter Now will take advantage of Niantic's proven location-based technology to usher the hunt into the real world. The press release is extremely scant on details, though it does say it'll be possible to join other players for cooperative hunts and also clarifies that monsters encountered while the app was closed will still be able to be hunted at a later time.Either you or your companion will be able 'catch' a monster with an item called Paintball so that it can be hunted alone or in co-op at home. Monster Hunter Now is targeting a September launch, while a closed beta test begins on April 25th. Signups are available now on the official website. Monster Hunter Now is far from the first franchise game released for mobile devices. Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting launched in 2011 on iOS, followed by Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (an enhanced version of Monster Hunter Freedom 2) in 2014, Monster Hunter Explore in 2015 (on both iOS and Android), and more recently by 2020's Monster Hunter Riders (again available on both iOS and Android).Clearly, CAPCOM is seeking to capitalize its newest golden egg goose (Monster Hunter World became by far the best-selling game ever released by the Japanese company, and Monster Hunter Rise is no slouch, either) on the mobile market with the help of Niantic's proven location-based technology. That said, while Pokémon Go was an incredible success, Niantic's subsequent releases didn't garner the same excitement. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite similarly offered players the chance to encounter the fantastic beasts imagined by J.K. Rowling in the real world, but the game failed to catch on and was shut down last year. A similar fate befell Catan: World Explorers, while Transformers: Heavy Metal was cancelled before even launching. Pikmin Bloom didn't do great, either. This year, Niantic launched NBA All-World, and they've also got the virtual pet augmented reality game Peridot and the location-based MARVEL World of Heroes coming out later in 2023. https://wccftech.com/niantics-monster-hunter-now-brings-the-hunt-to-the-real-world/

We will show you how you can force download a single photo or video from iCloud Photo Library in full quality on your iPhone and iPad. Need the Full Quality Version of the Photo or Video in Your iCloud Photo Library? A Simple Trick in the Photos App Lets You Download it Right Away Say what you want, but cloud storage is super neat. Instead of running out of space all the time and deleting stuff to make room for more content, just offload your photos and videos to the cloud and you don't ever have to worry about deleting an old photo or video (even a meme) to make room for more. If you're in the Apple ecosystem, there's a high chance you're using iCloud Photo Library to keep your photos and videos backed up to the cloud. Keep on saving photos and videos, and they will get backed up and your iPhone and iPad is smart enough to delete full quality copies from your device in order to keep offline storage as free as possible.. It's extremely well thought out to say the least. Optimized Storage Versus Download Originals iCloud Photo Library gives you two options for your entire photo and video library. You can either optimize your storage - called 'Optimize iPhone Storage' in Settings > Photos - where a smaller version is kept on your device and the full quality one is pulled from the server (over the internet) whenever needed. The second option - called 'Download and Keep Originals' - allows you to download your entire library onto your iPhone or iPad. This option is clearly not a good idea at all as it will eat away your storage space over time, or maybe even in one go if you a device that has base storage - 64 or 128GB. It's absolutely fine to enable the second option if you have an iPhone or iPad with more than 512GB of storage. When going for the 'Optimize iPhone Storage' option, Apple's software trickery comes into play in the background. If you're dealing with a video, Apple will simply download a lower quality video over the internet if the connection is poor even though the video was shot in full 4K with 60 frames per second. Same goes for photos as well - the more you zoom in, only then it will download a higher resolution copy to reveal more details. I Want the Full Quality Photo and Video Right Now! So, now that you know how iCloud Photo Library works in order to keep things storage-friendly, there will come a time when you might want to download the full quality photo or video. Although Apple has no switch to let you do this, but you can still force download a full quality version of the photo or video. Tutorial The way it works is actually quite simple. You need to be connected to the internet for this to work and if for some reason it does not, probably because you're using cellular and have limitations set to how much data Photos can use. You can check this by going to Settings > Photos > Cellular Data and make sure the Cellular Data option is enabled as show in the screenshot below. It's best to keep the Unlimited Updates option turned off unless you have a truly unlimited data plan. If your'e doing this on Wi-Fi then you really don't have to do anything with this option. Now, launch the Photos app and find the photo or video whose full copy you want to download to your device and tap on it. Once it is in view, tap on the Edit button on the top right. As soon as you do this, it will instantly download the original copy from Apple's server and then you can make the edits. But of course, you're not here to make edits, so just close the editor by tapping on Cancel and you have yourself a full copy of the photo or video that you wanted. There's really nothing more to this at all. You now know how to download the original copy without dancing around the 'Download and Keep Originals' option in Settings. If you plan on using this feature a lot, and something tells me that you will, then make sure you limit it to your Wi-Fi connection only. Downloading 4K videos over cellular, that too in full quality is going to drain your data plan faster than you can blink your eye. At the time of writing, Apple sells an iPhone with up to 1TB of storage and an iPad with up to 2TB of storage. This much storage space is especially handy if you love to keep all your photos and videos offline so that you can get to them quickly when you're creating your next masterpiece on Final Cut, LumaFusion or iMovie. On the other hand, this amount of storage is also great to have when you don't believe in cloud storage at all. That's a super risky life to live unless you create your backups regularly on a laptop or desktop. Believe it or not, a lot of people aren't sold to the idea of cloud storage at all as there's a potential risk of privacy breach. But not so much if you have proper security measures in place such as a 6-digit PIN code, 2-factor authentication, feature like Find My enabled, and most importantly. https://wccftech.com/how-to/force-download-full-quality-photo-or-video-in-photos-app-on-iphone-and-ipad/

Through a Twitter thread, the former Minister of Finance, Mauricio Cárdenas, explained why in Colombia the dollar moves between $4,800 and $4,900, taking into account that in other countries in the region, the devaluation of their currencies is much less. "If from June 20, 2022 the Colombian peso (COP) had behaved like the currencies of Mexico and Chile, it would now be at 3,500 per dollar, and if the currencies of Brazil and Peru had been followed, it would be at 4,000. Why is it at 4,800-4,900?" Cárdenas wrote as a preamble to his explanation. According to the former minister, the explanation that the devaluation corresponds to a global trend is not true. Nor does he believe that it is about uncertainty due to fiscal management, since Colombia's has been better than Brazil's. For Cárdenas, the main reason why the dollar in Colombia is above the general average for countries in the region is due to the uncertainty generated by government decisions and announcements on various fronts. (What to invest in in 2023 given the high volatility of the dollar). "For me, the main reason is the uncertainty that the government's decisions and announcements have generated in the mining, energy, health, pensions, public services, etc. sectors," he explained in his thread. Finally, he stated that the devaluation is the main reason why food inflation has not subsided (despite the fact that international prices are already falling). For him, "uncertainty has passed a high collection account to the most vulnerable sectors" of the country. https://www.portafolio.co/economia/finanzas/dolar-por-que-esta-en-el-rango-entre-los-4-800-4-900-579425

Traces of the last suppers of some of the world's earliest known animals may have been discovered in their 558-million-year-old fossils. In the moments before the animals were entombed forever, they grazed on green algal slime on the shallow sea floor, according to an analysis of different types of molecules known as sterols, which were preserved in the fossils. The finding, published today in the journal Current Biology, sheds new light on an enigmatic group of organisms that first appeared on Earth in the Ediacaran Period around 600 million years ago. Most scientists had assumed these animals dined on cyanobacterial mats, said study co-author Jochen Brocks of the Australian National University. "But we can see now these were actually already eating algal mats," Professor Brocks said. "It's probably the difference between eating a raisin and eating a watermelon." And while some animals absorbed nutrients through their skin, the analysis also suggested others were more advanced and digested food in much the same way as we do. Failed experiments, weirdos and modern animals The shallow seas of the Ediacaran Period were filled with a rag-tag bunch of large, soft-bodied organisms. "It's a mixture of different creatures at the very early stage of evolution, with failed experiments and weirdos, but amongst them the modern animals that would then make it into the Cambrian Explosion," Professor Brocks said. What we know about this relatively idyllic time before the rise of predatory animals with claws, shells and spikes in the Cambrian Period is imprinted in rocks such as those in South Australia, where they were first discovered. "These fossils are usually poorly preserved. They're like a death mask in metamorphosed, very rough sandstones," Professor Brocks said. "All we have is casts of the surface, we don't know what they look like from the underside or inside." As a result, scientists have long debated whether these creatures were animals or strange types of plants or algae. Then in 2013, palaeontologist Ilya Bobrovskiy from GFZ-Potsdam in Germany discovered exquisitely preserved fossils in the remote cliffs of the White Sea in Russia. The fossils included round-shaped creatures known as Dickinsonia that settled on slime, worm-like Calyptrina and Kimberella, a primordial organism that resembled a slug with a snout. Analysis of the Dickinsonia fossils by Dr Bobrovskiy at Dr Brock's lab revealed they contained cholesterol found in animals. The team then decided they wanted to find out if any of these fossilised animals had guts. It was largely thought that Dickinsonia and Calyptrina were passive feeders that absorbed nutrients through their skin, similar to tiny, transparent placozoa and tube worms that live in our oceans today. But Kimberella was thought to be more advanced and have a gut, based on pairs of scratch marks and what could potentially be balls of poo seen around fossils. "The only explanation for that was it scraping stuff up, pulling it into a mouth and digesting it," Professor Brocks said. "But if you look at the fossils, even at the organically preserved ones from the White Sea, you don't see a gut; you don't see anything." An ancient animal with a modern gut Animals usually have food in their gut when they die, so the researchers thought they might be able to work out if Kimberella had a gut by what it had been eating. Algae contains a particular cocktail of plant sterols and some fatty molecules (cholesteroids such as cholesterol and ergosteroids) found in animals, fungi and mould. On the other hand, bacteria contain another fat molecule known as hopanol, instead of cholesterol. The analysis suggested that Kimberella gobbled up mainly algae. The structure of these molecules also indicated they'd broken down in an anoxic environment like the gut. "We can see the algal sterols in the Kimberella fossil, but they decayed in the typical anaerobic gut way, very distinct from the decay pattern in the mats," Professor Brocks said. To their surprise, they could also see that the animal's gut was taking up cholesterol rather than plant sterols. "Kimberella had absorbed the cholesterols for its own use and only left ergosteroids and plant steroids in the gut," Professor Brocks said. "That is quite some sophistication — that's like us." The team's analysis also suggested the worm-like Calyptrina had a gut. "It was probably feeding off what it was getting at the surface, like maybe microalgae floating by." But the iconic Dickinsonia was a bottom feeder that absorbed its food as it lived on its algal mat. "We analysed 17 fossils and not a trace of a gut ... so that almost certainly confirmed Dickinsonia was a pretty ancient weirdo," Professor Brocks said. Debate about engimatic Ediacarans far from over Palaeontologist Jim Gehling of the South Australian Museum is a world expert in Ediacaran biota from the red Precambrian sandstone of the Flinders Ranges. Dr Gehling said the findings that Kimberella actively foraged "fits what we find in the trace fossils" in South Australia. But the debate about how these organisms functioned is far from over. "This has been one of the most controversial parts of the fossil record for a long time," Dr Gehling said. "Every textbook tells you that real animals began at the Cambrian and Ediacarans were a failed experiment." While he has advocated organisms such as Dickinosonia were animals, he said others were not convinced the Russian fossils could have preserved material for millions of years. "I'm not an organic geochemist and don't claim to have any wisdom on that, but what I do know is they do have rich, organic material trapped in that sediment [in Russia]," he said. "It's not been buried by kilometres of rock like the Flinders Ranges material has been." That means that the geochemical signatures seen in the fossils could be valid. But, he said, it was still important to query the science and see if the same signatures could be found in more fossils from Russia and different parts of the world such as China and Canada. "When you think everything you read in the textbooks is right, then you've got a problem because textbooks always will be behind what's happening in active research," Dr Gehling said. "We are looking for people who are willing to test, and if necessary, we have to abandon ideas and accept better explanations. https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/worlds-earliest-animals-in-ediacara-ate-algae-and-even-had-sophisticated-guts-study-suggests/ar-AA14qnwQ

The Qatari team retained the gold medal in the handball competition at the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, for the third time in a row, after defeating its Bahraini counterpart in the final match 32-25, in a final during which Al Annabi repeated its superiority over Al Ahmar, especially in the last edition. Al-Annabi also won the gold medal at the Incheon Asian Games in 2014. With this medal, Qatar raised its tally to 14 medals, with 5 golds, 6 silvers, and 3 bronzes, while Bahrain added a new medal, strengthening its lead over the Arab countries with 17 medals, 10 golds, 2 silvers, and 5 bronzes. The Bahraini national team was in control in the first half, which excelled in scoring through Mohammed Habib, and defense through the two brothers Ali and Mohammed Mirza, and behind them was the brilliant goalkeeper Mohammed Abdul Hussein, who saved more than 5 goals. The Qatari team repeated the "scenario" of the confrontation with Kuwait in the semi-finals, when it entered the atmosphere late in the match and the first half ended with Bahrainis (14-12). In the second half, the defending champion equalized the score in the sixth minute (17-17), after which Abdul Rahman Abdullah gave him the lead for the first time (18-17). Sobha increased his lead with a remarkable performance by Abdul Razzaq Murad, who raised the score to (27-21). ). The Qatari team, led by its Spanish coach Valero Rivera, continued to dominate the remaining minutes to win the match easily (32-25). Rafael Cabot scored 8 goals from 10 attempts for the winner, and Aladdin bin Rashid 5. The Kuwaiti team won bronze with a difficult victory over Japan 31-30, which is the third bronze medal for Kuwait in the current edition, raising its total tally to 8 medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze). Palestine wins the second medal in its history Palestinian Hala Al-Qadi gave her country its second medal in the history of its participation in the Asian Games, by winning a bronze medal in the karate competition (kumite category) for the under-68 kg weight category, after defeating Joe Zhao from Chinese Taipei 6-3. Palestine has been participating in the Asian Games since the 1990 edition, and its boxer, Munir Abu Kishk, previously won a bronze in boxing at the Busan Games in South Korea in 2002. Hala prepared for these games by participating in the Arab Games, which were held in Algeria last July, and won the silver medal. https://www.aljazeera.net/sport/2023/10/5/آسياد-هانغجو-قطر-تحتفظ-بذهبية-اليد

Occupied Jerusalem - Despite his 74 years of age, the Palestinian Azzam Abu Al-Saud is still passionate about learning, practicing his hobbies, and developing them daily since 2013, when he was retired. The house of Abu Al-Saud, located in the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood, overlooks the historic wall of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. One of the interior doors in the house of Azzam Abu Al-Saud, in which the art of wood carving and glass coloring (Al-Jazeera) mixes In the basement of the house, the visitor imagines that he is entering an art gallery that includes a group of pieces made with care and high craftsmanship, starting with windows and doors, through paintings, antiques, chandeliers, and ending with furniture. All of which the owner of the house worked on producing manually by practicing his hobby in 3 crafts: decorated wood, interlaced wood, and stained glass. Abu Al-Saud was born in 1948, to an ancient Jerusalemite family that was housed during the Mamluk era in an endowment building called "Abu Al-Saud's Corner", which was demolished by the Israeli occupation forces in 1968. It was adjacent to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its balconies overlooked its courtyards. Azzam Abu Al-Saud works on coloring a glass masterpiece in one of the rooms of his house, which he turned into a workshop (Al-Jazeera) Early life and practice of art Abu Al-Saud spent his childhood in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, accompanying his uncle and Italian artists who arrived at the Holy Mosque in the fifties of the last century to carry out rehabilitation and restoration of its windows and decorations, and he closely watched their work until he perfected some of it, and contributed to the stage of glass interlacing at the time. A luminous masterpiece that brings together 4 periods of Islamic motifs: Fatimid, Ayyubid, Mamluk and Ottoman (Al-Jazeera) Abu Al-Saud did not practice this hobby for a long time because of his involvement in school and then university education, which he completed in the specialty of commerce in Egypt. After returning to his motherland, he worked for 45 years before retiring, during which he held several positions; One of them is in the field of managing a commercial company, and the second is in Birzeit University, where he managed the Tenders and Supplies Department for 15 years. Then he headed the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jerusalem, and retired from this position in 2013, to begin a new journey of passion. Abu Al-Saud explored the depths of the world of Islamic motifs by developing his hobby of research and reading to produce distinctive pieces of art (Al-Jazeera) At the beginning of the journey, the man felt the need to explore the depths of the world of Islamic motifs, and saw the need to develop his hobby by research and reading in order to be able to produce distinctive pieces of art. Each era is different from the others. Old windows that Azzam Abu Al-Saud worked to restore and color their glass (Al-Jazeera) An ancient building and original art Today, the elderly Palestinian lives with his wife in an old house built in 1885, and his artwork is in harmony with the ancient stones of the ancient walls and the high vaulted ceilings. He recalls the houses of the Old City, where "all of its windows were made of stained glass, and all of its balconies were made of mashrabiyas, but two strong earthquakes in Jerusalem during the twentieth century blew this ancient art to its core." Regarding the disappearance of this character from the old houses, Abu Al-Saud says that a foreign traveler visited Jerusalem in the past and wrote in his memoirs that the number of mashrabiyas in the Old City reached 455, "but today it does not exceed 10 mashrabiyas." A wooden library made by Azzam Abu Al-Saud manually (Al-Jazeera) Abu Al-Saud decided to revive this heritage architectural element in his house, and pointed to the importance of the matter in the Old City in light of attempts to hide its Islamic and Christian character and to replace the Jewish character on its buildings. The aesthetics of the ancient stories of Jerusalem flow through the tongue of the old Jerusalemite, just as the joyful colors flow on the glass, which he paints with great craftsmanship. During the exit from his house, the picture is no less beautiful with an exceptional view of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Abu Al-Saud describes as his "first and last inspiration." https://www.aljazeera.net/lifestyle/2022/11/19/الأقصى-الملهم-الأول-والأخير-تحف-فنية

A woman who was raped at a house party in Co Mayo ten years ago has said her hope is that from today onwards each day will be that little bit better, as the court jailed the man convicted of the rape. In her victim impact statement, 28-year-old Ciara Mangan said that the attack left her feeling degraded and tarnished and that taunts in the aftermath of the rape were "absolute hell on earth". "On the 11th of May 2013, my life and my family's life changed forever. I always say that the moment I was raped, my soul left my body. Part of Ciara was stolen, changed, damaged, hurt and destroyed. I will never be the same Ciara I was before the rape. I will never get my late teens and 20's back. They weren't for anybody to take and destroy, but they were." However, she went on to say: "Today I can proudly say that I survived - but not without immense suffering and an extremely difficult road." "I can only hope that especially from today onwards, each and every day will be that little bit better and easier than the last for my family and I," she said. Shane Noonan, aged 28, of Castlehill Park, Turlough Road in Castlebar, Co Mayo, pleaded guilty earlier this year to the rape of Ms Mangan at the house party ten years ago. He was jailed today for seven years for what the judge described as the "cold, predatory and premeditated" rape of a work colleague as she drifted in and out of consciousness on a bathroom floor. Ms Mangan told the Central Criminal Court she had felt suddenly unwell after being handed an open can of cider at a party on 11 May 2013. In her victim impact statement, Ms Mangan described how before the rape she was "an ordinary, happy, outgoing and bubbly girl". "I had good friends in school, strived to do well in school and just overall enjoyed my life. I enjoyed going to my friends' houses and hanging out or going to the cinema, spending quality time with my family, going out for dinner and lunch etc. I did many extra-curricular activities." However, Ms Mangan went on to explain that she was reluctant to go to the house party in question as she would not know many people there. In the end, she was persuaded to go. "Little did I know that that decision would change my life and my family's life forever," she said. After being handed an open can of cider at the party, she said she began to feel weird and disorientated, her hearing was muffled, she felt sleepy and had a vague memory of vomiting. "Within approximately one to one-and-a-half hours of arriving to the house party I was raped by Shane Noonan. "The rape was aggressive and I had little to no energy or strength to defend myself or stop it from happening. Despite saying no, it still occurred. "My body and mind were so weak and I just couldn't stop myself from falling asleep or most likely, drifting into unconsciousness. I felt lifeless." In the aftermath of the rape, Ms Mangan told the court she was subjected to "rape comments" and "rape songs" by colleagues in the restaurant when the owner was absent. She said this was "absolute hell on earth" and she began to doubt herself because her colleagues "found it funny and a source of entertainment". "I felt confused, embarrassed, disregarded, bullied, stressed, overwhelmed and that I wouldn't be believed," she said. Ms Mangan explained how she struggled to cope after the rape and how it led her to withdraw from her studies. She said she did not tell her parents what had happened until her younger sister was about to start work in the same restaurant. "I was petrified of my sister working with Shane Noonan. I couldn’t take it anymore, I was so overwhelmed and was falling apart. My mum found me crying alone while trying to study and I told her that Shane Noonan from work had raped me. Her mother "fell on the floor in utter shock and sadness, screaming and crying for my dad in the other room". "That was a day my family and I will never forget. That was the moment my whole family was thrown into complete panic, distress and upheaval. We have never been the same as a family since. "The rape was then reported to the gardaí. I felt unbelievable relief. Like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders," explained Ms Mangan. https://www.rte.ie/news/2023/0717/1394989-ciara-mangan-court/

ivinity: Original Sin II is a 2017 role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the sequel to the 2014 game Divinity: Original Sin and the fifth main entry in the Divinity game series. The game takes place in the fantasy world of Rivellon, which has increasingly come under attack by interdimensional monstrous creatures known as Voidwoken. The player assumes the role of a Sourcerer, an individual with a powerful yet dangerous type of magic named Source, who has the chance to ascend to godhood and save Rivellon from the Voidwoken threat. The game is played from an isometric perspective. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops their character, explores the world and interacts with its non-player characters, and engages in turn-based combat using a variety of weapons and skills. Larian launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for Original Sin II in August 2015, raising over US$2 million. Following an early access release in September 2016, the game was fully released for Microsoft Windows in September 2017. An enhanced version, Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition, was released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in August 2018. The game was released for macOS in January 2019, and a port for the Nintendo Switch was released in September 2019. Divinity: Original Sin II received critical acclaim upon release, with praise for its narrative, characters, interactivity, combat system and music. It was a commercial success, selling over a million copies in two months following its release. The game won multiple awards and accolades from several gaming publications, and has been cited as one of the best role-playing games of all time. Divinity: Original Sin II is a role-playing video game played from an isometric perspective.[2] The player begins the game by selecting one of six pre-made characters with their own backstories, or creating a custom character and choosing their stats, race, gender and origin story. The choices of races are human, elf, lizard, dwarf, and undead, a race not available in Original Sin.[3][4] Players can play solo or with up to three companions in their party.[5] All companions are fully playable, and will potentially have unique interactions with the environment and non-player characters (NPCs). Players are able to split up and individually control their party members, leading to potentially complex battle tactics and role-playing opportunities. The game features both online and local multiplayer modes, both competitive and cooperative.[6] While Original Sin II offers a wide variety of preset class builds, it has an otherwise open-ended class system that allows a high degree of flexibility. Combat of the game is turn based and uses an action-point system. During each turn, the player may perform multiple actions until they run out of action points.[4] Enemies can be fought using skills from as many as ten different families, many of which can also be used out of combat. Different skills, when used in combination, can cause significant damage or unique effects.[7] Both the player and enemies can utilize high ground and environmental elements such as water, ice, oil and fire to their advantage.[8] In addition to health, characters may also be protected by physical and/or magic armor, which will negate incoming physical or magical damage and block negative status effects. Once the armor is fully destroyed, a character becomes vulnerable to direct damage on their health as well as status effects.[9] The player can interact with both party members and non-playable characters. A dialogue tree offers several dialogue options for the player to select. Many situations in the game offer multiple solutions, which may result in consequences that affect the game world and progression.[10] All NPCs can die, though killing certain individuals may render some quests incompletable or force the player to find other ways to proceed.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divinity:_Original_Sin_II

When we buy a Mac we are buying a very expensive computer, with a unique operating system and ecosystem. Ideally, before making the investment, we make sure that this equipment will meet all our needs. However, it is true that sometimes we may need a specific tool that is not available in macOS. And, then, we have no choice but to install Windows on the Mac. Although it is true that Apple prefers its equipment to remain within its ecosystem, the company also admits that some users may have special needs. And, for this reason, not only does it not prohibit, but it also facilitates the installation of other systems, such as Windows or Linux, on their Mac computers. Of course, always running in a virtualization layer. Over the years, and with the right tools, it's very easy to install Microsoft's operating system on Apple's computer. Of course, is it really worth it, and are we going to need it? When to install Windows on a Mac There are several reasons that can lead us to install the Microsoft system (for example, the latest Windows 11) on a Mac computer. For example, one of the main ones is that we need to use a Windows program that is not available for Mac. Another very important reason that can lead us to carry out this configuration is to use peripherals with configuration software. If the keyboard or mouse have a configuration and lighting system, we may need Windows to adapt it. This happens, for example, with Razer, since version 3 of the program does not support macOS. If we are going to use the Mac to play, it is much better to do it from Windows. The list of macOS compatible games is very limited on Steam, and almost non-existent on other platforms. It is true that graphics cards are not the strong point of Apple computers, but with Windows 11 installed we will have more compatibility and better performance. In the event that we are programmers/developers, we surely need to test programs and developments in Windows. And, in order not to need another independent computer (therefore, we also save on costs), then we can install Windows 11 in a virtual environment to use it as a test, development and debugging platform. Finally, in case we need two work environments (for example, one for production and another for testing, or any other activity), having both systems open and being able to switch from one to the other is very fast, easy and simple. Why not install the Microsoft system Installing Windows on a Mac is not all advantages, but we can also find ourselves with some handicaps that we must take into account. The first one is that Apple doesn't support drivers or anything for Windows, so if it works, fine; otherwise we can't do anything. The ARM version of Windows 11 works great on Apple's M1 chips, but we're still not officially supported. And the second of the problems is that having Windows open at the same time as macOS consumes considerable resources. https://www.softzone.es/noticias/windows/5-motivos-instalar-windows-11-mac/

PC manufacturer, Acer, is planning to enter the market with its second line of custom GPUs based on AMD's Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards. Acer To Offer Both Intel & AMD Custom Graphics Cards, Expected To Launch Radeon RX 7900 DIY Lineup Soon While the traditional PC market continues to decline, Acer has decided to expand into the more lucrative segments and PC gaming is definitely one of them. Primarily known for its OEM PC and laptop business, the company wants to expand into the more premium and custom DIY segment with new products under its Predator brand. The company recently launched its first custom DIY graphics card, the Arc A770 Predator Bifrost which made use of Intel's Arc alchemist GPUs. The Predator Bifrost is definitely one unique GPU design and boasts a premium design. The card itself was an unexpected addition but it looks like Acer wants to further expand its custom graphics card portfolio. According to reports from Chinese board channels, it looks like Acer is now working with AMD to offer custom Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards. Sources have reported that Acer wants to offer premium designs with highly competitive pricing which should be very effective against the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards. Furthermore, it is also reported that while Acer hasn't planned any NVIDIA custom designs for now, they are keeping their roadmap open and we might see Acer become the first graphics card manufacturer to actually offer custom graphics cards from all three vendors. As for the design, it is not said if Acer will reincorporate its existing Bifrost cooler for the new AMD Radeon RX 7900 series cards or make a brand-new cooling system. We will have to wait & see but we also want to make it clear that it's not like Acer isn't making any NVIDIA cards of their own. The manufacturer has made custom RTX 30 designs including the RTX 3090 Predator for its Orion PCs. It's just that we have yet to see any RTX 40 options made by Acer and those RTX 30 series cards are not available for the DIY market. https://wccftech.com/acer-planning-to-bring-custom-amd-radeon-rx-7900-graphics-card-to-the-diy-market/
