A twinkling Christmas tree in your living room is a sure sign that the holiday season has begun. But just like houseplants, a Christmas tree needs a little love and attention to look its best. And no one wants a floor covered in needles or ornaments drooping sadly on the branches. Don't worry if your busy calendar leaves little time for plant care—evergreens are low-maintenance. Read on to find three simple adjustments the pros recommend to ensure your tree is as full and green after three weeks as it was the day you brought it home. Now all you need are the perfect decorations. Make a Fresh Cut A tree from your local stand has likely been there awhile, and after a few days, a cut trunk’s pores seal up with sap, says Rick Bates, a professor of horticulture at Penn State University. Saw a quarter-inch off the bottom of the trunk when you get the tree home so that it’s ready to absorb water. Choose a Cool Spot The secret to avoiding needles all over your floor: Set up the tree away from fireplaces, heaters, heat vents, and even direct sunlight—heat speeds up the drying process. Even better, lower the room temperature a few degrees. Keep It Hydrated Freshly cut Christmas trees are thirsty—they can drink up to a gallon of water a day, says senior research editor Mare-Anne Jarvela at The Old Farmer’s Almanac. Make sure your stand can hold enough liquid and keep it full at all times, checking the water level daily.

Renowned American DJ Dillon Francis came up with the idea of making a music sample of it. A number of international artists, including The Chainsmokers and K-pop singer BamBam, turned to Twitter to ask what it really means, and United States president-elect Donald Trump was probably puzzled to find some of his Instagram posts bombarded with the phrase. The phrase “om telolet om” became a worldwide phenomenon when internationally acclaimed DJs, including award-winning electronic house music DJ and producer Zedd and his French compatriot DJ Snake, tweeted the phrase late on Tuesday. Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens said he thought of omelette when he first read the phrase on Twitter. As of Wednesday afternoon, “om telolet om” was the top worlwide trending topic on Twitter with 715,000 tweets. “Perhaps it could make a sampled appearance in the next festival anthem?”theonlineplatformofUSentertainment media outlet Billboard wrote on Tuesday. It is still unclear why the “om telolet om” phenomenon has grabbed the attention of those international DJs, but it has caused nationwide merriment in Indonesia since late November, when a video of children and youngsters standing on the streets of Ngabul, a subdistrict of Jepara regency in Central Java with a po[CENSORED]tion of around 12,000, went viral and garnered more than 1 million views on Facebook. The video shows the children and youngsters waving and shouting “Om telolet om!” at passing buses. They would cheer in gusto when the buses heeded their request, which literally means “driver, honk, driver”, and would boo them if they did not produce the sound. Since the first video was uploaded to the internet, a lot of similar videos have appeared on Youtube, capturing the gleeful activity taking place not only in Jepara, but also in other cities of Java, such as Ungaran in Central Java. To ensure the safety of the drivers, there is one “regulation” people have to obey when they want to record the activity. Local media reported in May that “telolet” lovers in Ungaran, grouped under a community called the Ungaran Bus Lovers (UBL), had been urged not to use camera flash- es when recording, for that could startle the bus drivers, especially at night. In fact, the “om telolet om” shout is not a new thing in the country, especially along Java’s northern coastal highway (Pantura), where vehicles were frequently stuck for long hours during the Idul Fitri holiday because of the surge of homebound travelers. People swarming road sides to hear the bus honk is an activity that has reportedly been going on for the past six years in cities across Java. “When I see people waving their hands on the streets, or holding their camera phones, I know they are asking [for the sound]. Honestly, I am happy, because they pay attention on me,” said Patra, a tour bus driver, as quoted by tribunnews.com. Patra added that horns producing the “telolet” sound were not a builtin accessory but had to be installed in a bus at a price ranging from Rp 1.5 million (US$111) to Rp 2 million. But in Ngabul, one of the internet users uploading “om telolet om” videos said Jepara Police had banned the activity two weeks ago over safety concerns. “There were some people who stopped the passing buses to take selfies in front of them. This is what actually prompted police to ban the fun,” Riyadh As’ari told The Jakarta Post.

During winters, health problems like swollen fingers can be taken care of by using lemon, onion and turnip, says an expert. Here are a few suggestions given by Megha Shah, Cosmetologist at Beauty and Curves Clinic: * Lemon: Apply lemon juice on the swollen part of the fingers and get instant relief. * Onion: Everybody knows that onion improves the blood flow in the body. It has antibiotic and antiseptic properties and hence, if applied on the affected area, gives relief from itching and swelling. * Garlic: Garlic is a powerhouse of antiseptic properties that are great to counteract the problem of swollen fingers. * Turnip: Apart from various health benefits, turnip is also an effective pain killer which reduces the issue of swelling, redness and itching in the fingers. * Home remedies: Apart from these wonder ingredients, there are certain home remedies that are highly effective in the case of swollen fingers. Add a pinch of powdered black pepper to mustard oil and heat it properly. Once it cools down, apply it on the swollen fingers and see the results. Cut a slice of potato and add salt, apply it on the affected area. This formula is great to get relief from swelling, redness and itching. Prepare a mixture of glycerin, porridge, egg and apply it on the swollen area. Cover this paste using a bandage and keep it on for some time. The mixture reduces swelling.

Lenovo plans to have three flavors of the Yoga Book—its innovative typing, writing, and drawing mash-up of a computer—in 2017. The company’s Android and Chrome chief, Jeff Meredith, recently confirmed to Laptop Magazine that a Chrome OS version would arrive next year after the website Chrome Unboxed reported in October that a “Yoga Book Chromebook” appeared to be in the works. The Yoga Book is currently available running either Android or Windows 10. Lenovo already sells Chrome OS versions of other devices in the Yoga line. The Yoga Book is unique because it encourages users to be “hands-on” with the device more so than any PC before it. Lenovo’s Yoga Book looks like a sleek 360-degree convertible, but open it up and instead of a traditional keyboard you'll find a flat, matte touch surface. That surface can switch between a backlit touch keyboard and an empty surface for digital ink at the touch of a button. There’s also a special case that attaches to the touch surface to write or draw on A5 paper. All physical inkings are then reflected on the display for apps such as OneNote. When the Chrome OS version rolls out it will keep most of its pen-based chops. That includes the ability to write on paper or use the “Create Pad” functionality to draw with digital ink on the touch surface. There’s no specific release date for the Chrome OS version of the Yoga Book, but Tom’s Guide says it should roll out by “midyear.” That could mean we’ll see it around July or August in time for the back-to-school rush. The story behind the story: The arrival of a Chrome OS Yoga Book suggests Lenovo’s days creating PC-like devices loaded with Android could be numbered. With Google building Play store functionality into Chrome OS—something the new Yoga Book Chromebook will almost certainly support—there’s little need for an Android variant. Lenovo’s Meredith said as much to Tom’s Guide. “Over time, we probably see the Android and Chrome versions melding together,” he said.

The Swedish vlogger and video game commentator, real name Felix Kjellberg, has the most-subscribed account on YouTube, with over 49 million loyal viewers following his video exploits. Known for his over-the-top delivery and loud, flamboyant commentary, PewDiePie has racked up an astonishing 13 billion video views and was eve named one of ‘The World’s 100 Most Influential People’ by Time magazine. But all is not well with the shouty Swede, whose love him or loathe him appeal has divided opinion among YouTube users. The surprise success story uploaded a video on Friday revealing his intention to quit YouTube when he hits 50 million subscribers. With a current total of 49.5 million followers, fans are concerned that the personality’s account will be gone soon, while his critics have all hit subscribe in a bid to push him up to the 50 million figure. Claiming that changes to YouTube have ruined the video sharing site, Felix vented his fury at site bosses who he claims have tried to kill his channel. The loudmouthed vlogger accused the site of promoting clickbait and burying his videos further down than they should be in other people’s feeds. However, as angry as he is, the gaming icon isn’t actually planning to quit YouTube — he just wants to start again with a new channel after deleting his existing one. The announcement prompted thousands of comments from fans and critics alike, with detractors pouring into the comment section to urge people to subscribe to the divisive “comedian”.

1 Eat ‘primally’ Common sense dictates that the best diet is one based on foods we’ve been eating the longest in terms of our time on this planet. These are the foods that we’ve evolved to eat and are best adapted to. Studies show that a ‘primal’ diet made up of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, as well as meat, fish and eggs, is best for weight control and improvement in risk markers for illnesses, such as heart disease and diabetes. This ‘go primal’ food philosophy will enable you to cut through the marketing hype and dietary misinformation, and allow you to make healthy food choices quickly and confidently. 2 Keep hydrated Water makes up two-thirds of the body and performs a plethora of functions, including acting as a solvent, carrier of nutrients, temperature regulator and body detoxifier. Maintaining hydration can have a profound influence on our vitality and energy levels, including mental alertness. Aim to drink enough water to keep your urine a pale yellow colour throughout the course of the day. 3 Eat mindfully In our fast-paced world, there can be a tendency to eat while distracted and shovel in more food than we need and, at the same time, miss out on culinary pleasure. Many of us will benefit from eating mindfully. Some things to think about here are avoiding eating when distracted, eating more slowly, and taking time to taste food properly. One particular thing to focus on is chewing your food thoroughly – not only does this help us savour food, it also assists the digestive process. 4 Get plenty of sunlight in the summer… Sunlight, and the vitamin D this can make in the skin, is associated with a wide spectrum of benefits for the body including a reduced risk of several forms of cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and osteoporosis, as well as improved immune function. As a rule of thumb, vitamin D is made when our shadow is shorter than our body length, ie when the sun is high in the sky. While burning is to be avoided, get as much sunlight exposure as possible for optimal health. 5 and in the winter Low levels of sunlight in the winter can cause our mood to darken. Even when it’s cold outside, it pays to get some external light exposure in the winter, say during lunchtime. Another option is to invest in a sunlight-simulating device and use this daily from October through to March. 6 Get enough sleep Sleep has the ability to optimise mental and physical energy, and optimal levels of sleep (about eight hours a night) are linked with reduced risk of chronic disease and improved longevity. One simple strategy that can help ensure you get optimal amounts of sleep is to go to bed earlier. Getting into bed by 10pm or 10.30pm is a potentially useful investment in terms of your short- and long-term health and wellbeing. Shutting down the computer or turning off the TV early in the evening is often all it takes to create the time and space for earlier sleep. 7 Walk regularly Aerobic exercise, including something as uncomplicated and low-impact as walking, is associated with a variety of benefits for the body and the brain, including a reduced risk of chronic diseases, anti-anxiety and mood-enhancing effects. Aim for a total of about 30 minutes of brisk walking every day. 8 Engage in some resistance exercise Resistance exercise helps to maintain muscle mass and strengthens the body. This has particular relevance as we age, as it reduces the risk of disability and falls. Many highly useful exercises can be done at home, such as press-ups, sit-ups and squats. Invest in a Dyna-Band or dumbbells to extend your home routine to other exercises, too. 9 Practise random acts of kindness Random acts of kindness are good for givers and receivers alike. It could be a quick call or text to someone you care about or have lost touch with, or showing a fellow motorist some consideration, or giving up your seat on a train or bus, or buying someone lunch or giving a spontaneous bunch of flowers. 10 Practise the art of appreciation Modern-day living tends to be aspirational and we can easily find ourselves chasing an ever-growing list of goals, many of which can be material. Some of us could do with spending more time focusing not on what we don’t have, but on what we do. Our mood can be lifted by giving thanks for anything from our friends and family to a beautiful landscape or sunset. hopefully helpful have nice day

This game, based on the Dyatlov Pass Incident, utilizes beautiful graphics and an amazing location for a horror game, where you play as an investigator tracing the steps of nine students that went missing in a winter storm. The scares are constantly unexpected, as you are haunted by the malevolent entities that wander the ridges, pathways and dark forests on the mountainside. The producers obviously put strong effort and research into this game in order to recreate a story to follow the horrific tragedy that took place on that mountain in 1959. I enjoyed this game to its full potential. The story, the graphics, and the voice-over done by Sean Bean. A highly recommended game. Initial release date: June 9, 2015 Genre: Survival horror Mode: Single-player video game Platforms: PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows Developers: IMGN.PRO
