  4. How to keepan old computer running smoothly Being stuck with an old computer can be challenging. Unsupported operating systems are vulnerable to Internet threats, and the hardware of an older computer starts to face some limitations. However, there are a few things you can do to protect it and keep it running smoothly. Secure your computerOlder versions of Windows, like Windows XP, no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. This leaves them vulnerable to many Internet dangers. You can protect your system by running up-to-date antivirus, antimalware, and firewall programs. Learn more in our lesson on Protecting Your Computer from Internet Threats. Using alternatives to Internet Explorer can also make your computer safer from Internet threats. Chrome and Firefox are po[CENSORED]r choices for browsing. If you're using Microsoft Outlook, you might want to consider switching to another email client like Thunderbird. Many Internet threats specifically target vulnerabilities in Outlook. Consider upgrading your OSOne option for keeping your computer running smoothly and securely is upgrading to a newer OS, giving you access to current security updates and support. However, it will usually cost money, may require reformatting your hard drive, and might be confusing to use at first. Before upgrading, consider if it is worth these costs, and check to see if your computer is powerful enough to run the new OS. Alternately, you could install a lighter, free OS like Linux. Learning how to use Linux might take longer if you're accustomed to Windows, but it has many advantages and usually runs well on older computers. See our Linux resources for more information. Maintain your computerA few simple steps can extend the lifetime of your computer, keep your operating system running smoothly, and protect you from data loss. Think of these as good habits, like brushing your teeth every day or getting the oil changed in your car regularly. Shut down your computer at least a few times a week, or every day. Uninstall programs you no longer use. Delete large files you no longer need, especially media files like movies, music, and images. Disable programs from running on startup unless they are necessary. Use a maintenance tool like CCleaner. Back up your filesOlder computers are more likely to experience hardware failure. Preparing for this possibility is much easier than recovering data from a failed drive. Backing up your files will protect you from losing your data. The two most common ways of doing this are copying your data to an external drive and using an online backup service.
  5. Microsoft launched its new Office suite, touting the key software as a collaborative tool which can work across multiple devices. The new software, one of the key products from the US tech giant, is being adapted to Microsoft's strategy shifting away from one-time sales to an Internet cloud-based system that can be accessed from PCs as well as mobile devices. "The way people work has changed dramatically, and that's why Microsoft is focused on reinventing productivity and business processes for the mobile-first, cloud-first world," said Satya Nadella, chief executive of Microsoft. "These latest innovations take another big step forward in transforming Office from a familiar set of individual productivity apps to a connected set of apps and services designed for modern working, collaboration and teamwork." Office 2016, available in 40 languages, aims to further integrate Microsoft products such as the word processing program Word, the Excel spreadsheet application and the Outlook email and messaging platform. A key feature of the updated suite is real-time collaboration on documents. Microsoft says its "co-authoring" feature "lets you see others" edits as they make them." By integrating the telephony service Skype, users can also have video or audio conversations during collaboration on documents. Office 2016 will allow users of Office 365—which requires an annual subscription fee to download the new apps as part of their subscription. Automatic updates will begin rolling out to consumer and small-business subscribers next month, and to commercial customers early next year. The suite is also available today as a one-time purchase for both PCs and Apple Macs. The release comes as Microsoft is rolling out its Windows 10 operating system which can be used across multiple devices, and integrating its Cortana digital assistant software into its devices.

Two copies of Unity Suites valued at $1,500 are also up for grabs. 9. Hello, I am not the staff but i know the reason why we are not on GameTracker.Rs. GameTracker.Rs has banned CsBlackDevil Community permanently long time ago. Because the Administrators made CSBD-BOOST (that was better boost company than GameTracker.Rs had). Now CsBlackDevil don't have CSBD-BOOST anymore. Supose we go back to GameTracker.Rs again and in fu.ture the Administrators make something new then there is chance that CsBlackDevil get banned again. I don't think anyone will risk this again Good Luck & Have Fun

  11. In the study, published in the International Journal of Obesity, researchers found out that "overthinking" leads to stress-eating, thus resulting to weight gain. Ideally, thinking that you are fat would make you want to cut back more on calories, but a recent study says that the more you think you are fat, the more you are likely to gain weight. But how? In the study, published in the International Journal of Obesity, researchers found out that "overthinking" leads to stress-eating, thus resulting to weight gain. To come up with the result, the researchers analyzed data from three longitudinal studies, asking the participants perception of their own weight once they reached adulthood - regardless if their perceptions are right or wrong). For number of years, the researchers have taken notes of the weight gained over time. As a result, they have found out that those who think they are "overweight" actually gained more weight, and the same finding was observed regardless of whether a person was actually overweight or not. The study team sought to control for factors known to increase the risk of weight gain and found that the results were not due to outside psychological, health or environmental factors. People react to stress in different ways. The study proves that the word "overweight" actually has a stigma that can result to a poor impact on your health. In an interview with dailymail, Dr. Eric Robinson, one of the authors of the study says society should encourage people to have healthier lifestyle rather than instilling in them that being overweight is a real "terrible" thins. "What is important is to tackle stigma in society. People with a heavier body weight have body image challenges. That is not surprising given the way we talk about weight as a society. But the way we talk about body weight and the way we portray overweight and obesity in society is something we can think about and reconsider," he said.
