Before you vote, make sure you know why because for us, the Designers, it's important. Keep in mind: ROUND Round avatars doesn't allow you to have on your avatar a border. (or a custom one) Round avatars will automatically lose your image's quality because they are resized again. Their proper size from 200x200 is 174x174px. Round avatars will not show you the full 200x200 image. SQUARE You can put a border on square avatars. They don't resize and they look perfectly normal as how you made the image to be. Square avatars will always show you the full 200x200px as long as you made your image 200x200. It's bigger than the round avatar, so you will see more (in-depth) textures, colors, texts and effects. I will vote square because I know my image won't resize the moment one user puts my image on his avatar. And I know that will look beautiful. That's my principal reason. You?
