• Your Problem: when i open cs1.6 i see fps from 60-40, but when i download map,skin,etc to the server pfs30-15, when i enter fps10-5 .. i have many lag ican't play in any server zombie, the lag is very big / i'm have good internet, ihope solved this problem

Hello Dear.
First of all open the game console using \ and enter:

net_graph 3

This will show the current FPS and now you'll be able to see the FPS improvements.

Now, open the console again with \ and enter the following commands, one by one, in this order:

developer 1

fps_override 1

fps_max 131

You can change the number on the "fps_max" command to reach more or less fps.
You have to do this process every time you open CS 1.6.

Desktop Properties >> Settings >> Advanced >> Geforce ..... (Video Card Driver) >> Performance & Quality Setiings, and here you must turn off these Vertycal Sync, Antisotropic filtering and Antialising settings!

For this you must have your PC optimized to obtain a good performance and the Game works 100% depending on the PC you have here I will leave you some commands that can help you increase FPS, and you must also delete junk files that you have on your PC

Facing problem due to low FPS and high latency (ping)?
Try out these simple steps and improve your fps and ping.

Reasons for low FPS:

•     Low PC Configuration
•     Internet problems
•     Background apps using too much RAM
•     Resolution Problem
•     Low priority of hl.exe

Now we'll solve all these problems and you will see the difference in your FPS:

1. LOW PC CONFIGURATION:

The most common cause of low FPS is outdated computer.
Following are the requirements for playing cs 1.6 @ 100 FPS

"800 mhz processor, 512mb ram, 64mb + video card, Windows XP / 7/8 or linux UBUNTU"

So just upgrade your PC or laptop to these configurations and enjoy counter strike lag free.

2.INTERNET PROBLEMS:
-BACKGROUND APPS:

Sometimes the internet speed is used up by background applications for 'Downloading' like torrents, IDM etc. So always remember to stop the downloading before starting your counter strike.

To keep track of your internet speed being used by your system check the following:

•    Go to Task Manager by pressing ALT + CTRL + DELETE or right click on taskbar and select Task Manager.
•    Select the NETWORKING Tab.
•    Here you can see the amount of network utilized by your system.

ALWAYS USE LAN CONNECTION:

WiFi connections are not recommended for a lag free gaming experience, so a LAN connection is always better than a WiFi as WiFi signals may get interrupt due to some 'noise' in environment.

BACKGROUND APPS USING TOO MUCH RAM

•    Always close all the heavy applications (applications bigger in size) before starting your CS.
•    I suggest even close your windows explorer (explorer.exe) for a complete lag free environment.

To stop your windows explorer:

•    Open task manager as told in above guide.
•    Goto PROCESSES Tab and look for 'explorer.exe', select it and click 'END PROCESS'

Remember not to stop the processes that are windows default except explorer and taskmanager.
To start explorer later:

•     Open your task manager using ALT + CTRL + DELETE.
•     Goto File -> new task.

RESOLUTION PROBLEM
Always try to play on 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.

These are standard resolutions or you can increase them according to the size of your screen.

If you have resolution problem goto RESOLUTION PROBLEM IN CS 1.6

LOW PRIORITY OF hl.exe
Increase the priority of your counter strike 1.6 application (hl.exe) to give more emphasis on hl.exe by CPU.

•     Open your counter strike 1.6 and minimize it.
•     Then open TaskManager using the above guide.
•     Locate hl.exe in PROCESSES Tab and right click on it.
•     Select 'Set Priority' and choose 'high'.

 

Similarly choose high priority for steam.exe.

By using all the steps you can finally get your 100 FPS and do not forget to use:
"fps_max 100" and "gl_vsync 0"

AND SEE THE CHANGES.

5. Low priority of hl.exe > i searched for this file in counter "cstrike" i'm not find this file

P.S before i get banned from server i'm not have any lag, But after the unban I noticed that the game had changed " very lag"

Then set fps_override 9999

If there is nothing happening, then pay for better internet.

 

You can't gain fps without good internet...   pc configuration, cmon guys. I played cs 1.6 zombies with burned video card =]

To remove lag in your cs 1.6 follow these easy steps :- - go to your cs 1.6 console - then type fps _ max 100 - fps _ modem 0 - rate 25000 then you'll be free from lag and can play counter strike multiplayer without lag.

"If you have a laptop that supports the NVIDIA Optimus technology, here is how you fix possibly fps problems caused by CS no longer being detected as "Counter-Strike" by NVIDIA, but instead as hl.exe (which is ran by the onboard Intel video card):

You need to add "hl.exe" as a game in NVIDIA control panel's program settings (under 3D settings), and change the preferred graphics processor to NVIDIA. If it's blocked, you need to use NVIDIA Inspector Download to fix it.

After adding "hl.exe", load up NVIDIA Inspector and click on the driver settings button (with a wrench on it) in the middle of the program, next to your driver version. Also make sure you close NVIDIA control panel at this time.

Find "Half Life" from the drop down menu, and then scroll down to "enable application optimus option" and set it to "SHIM_RENDERING_MODE_ENABLE" and click apply settings.

Open up NVIDIA control panel again, change the setting to "NVIDIA" and click apply. For me this reverted the setting and made it greyed out again, but once I re-did the fix on NVIDIA inspector, it stayed as "NVIDIA" and my fps issues were (at least seemingly/so far) fixed."
