Artist: Tansen Real Name: Ramtanu Pande Birth Date /Place: 26 April 1589 (aged 95–96) Agra, Delhi Age: 96 Social status (Single / Married): Married Artist Picture: Musical Genres: Hindustani Classical Music Awards: -- Top 3 Songs (Names): ghata ghanaghor ghor , baag laga dun sajani , baraso re Other Information: Tansen (c. 1493/1500 – 26 April 1589), also referred to as Miyan Tan Sen or Ramtanu Pande, was a prominent figure of Hindustani classical music.[4] Born in a Hindu family, he learnt and perfected his art in the northwest region of modern Madhya Pradesh. He began his career and spent most of his adult life in the court and patronage of the Hindu king of Rewa, Raja Ramchandra Singh (r.1555–1592), where Tansen's musical abilities and studies gained widespread fame.[4] This reputation brought him to the attention of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, who sent messengers to Raja Ramchandra Singh, requesting Tansen to join the musicians at the Mughal court. Tansen did not want to go, but Raja Ramchandra Singh encouraged him to gain a wider audience, and sent him along with gifts to Akbar. In 1562, about the age of 60, the Vaishnava[5] musician Tansen joined the Akbar's court, and his performances became a subject of many court historians.[4] Numerous legends have been written about Tansen, mixing facts and fiction, and the historicity of these stories is doubtful.[6] Akbar considered him one of the Navaratnas (the nine jewels), and gave him the title Mian, an honorific, meaning learned man.[7] Tansen was a composer, musician and vocalist, to whom many compositions have been attributed in northern regions of the Indian subcontinent. He was also an instrumentalist who po[CENSORED]rized and improved musical instruments. He is among the most influential personalities in North Indian tradition of Indian classical music, called Hindustani. His 16th century studies in music and compositions inspired many, and he is considered by numerous North Indian gharana (regional music schools) to be their lineage founder.[8][9] Tansen is remembered for his epic Dhrupad compositions, creating several new ragas, as well as for writing two classic books on music Sri Ganesh Stotra and Sangita Sara.[10]

Watch this video on YouTube According to Reuters, Tesla faces two antitrust class action lawsuits alleging the company purposefully discourages owners from using third-party mechanics. Additionally, each suit’s class could include hundreds of thousands of Tesla drivers, potentially resulting in nine-figure damages. So, here’s everything you need to know about the pair of Tesla “right to repair” class action lawsuits. Drivers experience exorbitant prices and extreme wait times for repairs. “Tesla needs to open up its ecosystem and allow competition,” said lawyer Matthew Ruan, who filed one of the suits. “For the servicing of Tesla [vehicles] and sales of parts.” The lawsuits accuse Tesla of designing their vehicles and warranty and repair policies to dissuade drivers from using third-party shops. In addition, the suits allege the EV maker forces owners to pay excessive prices and wait unreasonably long for repairs. In both cases, the classes would include drivers who have paid the company for repairs since March 2019. The “right to repair” has recently become an increasingly common issue for consumers. In May 2021, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) released a 50-plus page report detailing anticompetitive repair practices to Congress. The FTC submitted “Nixing the Fix” to create a regulatory framework to combat these practices. A few months later, the FTC rescinded a 1995 policy that made it challenging to prevent restrictive repair policies. Additionally, the right to repair includes far more than just vehicles. For example, in 2021, the FTC questioned McDonald’s franchisees about their notoriously perpetually broken McFlurry machines. Only a certified technician from Taylor, the company that manufactures the ice cream machines, could repair them when they broke. Although, a company called Kytch created a device to bypass Taylor’s internal systems that prevent a third-party repair job. Franchise owners could install these devices on their McFlurry machines to fix them themselves. However, Mcdonald’s quickly told franchisees these devices were a “very serious safety risk,” which led to Kytch suing Mcdonald’s. And in January 2023, New York became the first state to pass sweeping protections to protect businesses’ right to repair. The Digital Fair Repair Act goes into effect on July 1, 2023. The bill allows third-party repair providers to access manuals and parts from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to fix their products

A licence has been approved for the release of captive-bred Scottish wildcats in the UK's largest national park. The first in a series of trial releases at undisclosed locations in the Cairngorms National Park is planned for June. The Saving Wildcats project said it would be the first conservation translocation of wildcats in Britain. Eventually, as many as 20 wildcats could be released annually. There are wildcats in the wild in the Cairngorms, but the po[CENSORED]tion is under threat. Hope new wildcat kittens could help save species First wildcat arrives at 'breed and release' site According to research, the wild cat is on the brink of extinction. Breeding with feral domestic cats, disease and habitat loss have been blamed for reducing numbers. Scotland's nature agency, NatureScot, approved the licence for this summer's release. It assessed Saving Wildcats' application in line with the Scottish Code for Conservation Translocations. The process considers a range of issues including animal welfare, site suitability and potential impacts on neighbouring and community interests.

Germany reached an agreement with the European Union on a landmark regulation that requires new cars to be carbon neutral by 2035, resolving a dispute that threatened to undermine the bloc's ambitious blueprint to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The agreement, which will allow some combustion engines beyond 2035, was quickly condemned by opponents. The bloc and its largest economy had been at odds over the planned 2035 phase-out of CO2-emitting cars, but leaders signaled in recent days that they were close to a resolution. Germany had wanted assurances that new combustion engine cars can be sold beyond the deadline if they run on e-fuels -- a request supported by Porsche and other parts of Germany's powerful car industry. "We have found an agreement with Germany on the future use of e-fuels in cars," Frans Timmermans, head of EU climate policy, said on Twitter. German Transport Minister Volker Wissing said "the way is clear" with the agreement reached late Friday. "Vehicles with internal combustion engines can still be newly registered after 2035 if they fill up exclusively with CO2-neutral fuels," he said in a post on Twitter. Sign in to the product or service center of your choice. READ MORE The deal means that Germany can formally approve an agreement reached in October that requires new cars to be zero-emissions, a key pillar in the EU's plans to reach climate neutrality by 2050. A vote this month, which was expected to be a simple procedure, was delayed due to objections from Wissing's pro-business FDP party, the junior member of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's governing alliance. The deal with Germany doesn't change the text of the regulation that was agreed between representatives of member states and the European Parliament last year. After ministers sign off on it, the commission will provide more details on the next steps to implement the provision on e-fuels, according to an EU official. That vote, which is now expected to take place on Tuesday when energy ministers meet in Brussels, should pass with Germany's backing as the countries opposing will be unable to reach a sufficient enough minority to block the progress. Italy wanted further assurances, including how cars using biofuels could also be exempted. "The battle on tech neutrality has been won, which is the precondition for the recognition of biofuels," Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni told reporters Friday after a summit of EU leaders. "We are also showing that biofuels are zero-emission, hence there's no need to go into the technical details. If the technology hits the target, then you can use it." A scheduled review in 2026 on how the bloc was progressing on zero-emission vehicles was seen as too late for some of the country's automakers. But environmental activists were angered by Germany's decision to hold up the emissions plan and warned against changes that could distract from progress toward broader use of electric and other zero-emission vehicles. Benjamin Stephan of Greenpeace said the deal was a setback for climate protection. "This stinky compromise undermines climate protection in transport, and it harms Europe," he said. It dilutes the needed focus of the auto industry on efficient electromobility, he said. Pascal Canfin, the head of the European Parliament's environment committee, called on the commission to make sure the upcoming rules on e-fuels respect the agreement reached last year on car-emissions standards. Even though the parliament's role in the process going forward is limited, it could still block the future regulation. "The automotive sector has wholeheartedly embraced electric cars, rendering the previous debate on the matter absurd and damaging Germany's credibility," Michael Bloss, a German Green member of the European Parliament, said Saturday. "It is now time to make reparations."

We ask young people what they want to be in life. But do we allow them to become the best person they can be? This can’t be done in a single class lesson. Photo Illustration Illustration by News Decoder What kind of learning do we seek? That’s what Veronica Boix Mansilla asked an audience of high school teachers at the Global Education Benchmark Group conference in Washington, D.C. on Friday. Mansilla is senior principal investigator at Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Mansilla said that traditionally we have focused on the idea of the child as a future worker and the role of the child in the future advancement of society. But she then asked: What is the story of society we are advancing? What do we believe? Perhaps the focus should be on the idea of the child as part of a larger world. Can they see their connections to other people and other cultures and how does that play out in the classroom? Mansilla presented a case study of a classroom in Portland, Maine in the northeastern United States, in which most of the students were from the local area, but some were from refugee families. The teacher in one class began a year-long exploration of perspectives. She had each student talk to two different people about something in particular and explore the difference in their perspectives. They then turned those into stories and compiled all the stories into a book. Reinventing what it means to educate youth This exercise was an exciting example of, as Mansilla put it, reinvent what it means to educate youth. It didn’t involve one single lecture on perspectives. The concept of perspectives was embedded into the course every day all year. “It becomes the air you breathe,” Mansilla said. It demonstrated to students that we all participate in multiple cultures. Many of the local students recognized that the refugee children had big stories to tell. But they didn’t think their own stories had significance or validity. Other children were part of cultures, not them. Mansilla pointed out that students need to recognize all the different forms of culture: their school, family, religion, even sports. All students have big stories to tell; they just have to recognize the story that is theirs to tell. Finding their own story by telling other peoples’ stories At News Decoder, we work with students to spot problems in their community worth reporting on. Many students think the stories have to be big. But we say: What is happening around you? What worries the people you know? We tell students to move beyond their own perspective and interview other people. Journalism, after all, is about telling other people’s stories. But once they submit stories to us for publication, I’ve found myself going back to them and saying: Now tell me in the story, what do you think? Taking into account these other perspectives you have explored, what do you think about that? Mansilla described this process as see-think-wonder. First, ask young people to see what is around them. At News Decoder we want them to spot problems in need of solutions. Then, Mansilla says they should think about what they see. Again, we put that into practice by having students research the problem and interview actual people to explore the perspectives of people who are experiencing the problem or trying to solve it. But finally, what is it they wonder? That often turns out to be the most compelling part of the stories. If they started with their own perspective, it wouldn’t be as compelling. Their perspective in the story has power because their perspective — their wonder — has been shaped by what they found in their research and in their interviews. Back in that case study in Maine, the exercise on perspective accomplished many things: It built students’ self-confidence and gave them a sense of self-competence. It gave them the opportunity to develop empathy. And it drove into them the idea that they, too, are part of a big story. And it had long-lasting effects. A year later, one student whose family had fled Sudan told an interviewer that she is now the best person in the class on perspectives. She had written about her uncle who had been kidnapped as a child and had become one of what the world has termed the “lost boys.” She went from not knowing she could do something to thinking of herself as the best person who can do it. Mansilla called this setting the conditions so students can build their identity. This doesn’t mean becoming the person who will be a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer or a scientist. It means becoming a person who believes they are the best at something, whatever that something is. Ultimately, it means reframing our very idea of success.

According to the country’s state-run news outlet Fana Broadcasting Corporate, she died in Jerusalem. Guèbrou had been living at the Ethiopian Monastery there for almost 40 years. As a child, she spent time as a prisoner of war and went on to study under the Polish violinist Alexander Kontorowicz in Cairo. Guèbrou released her first album in 1967, donating proceeds to those in need, and continued to use money made from her music to help raise aid for Ethiopian children orphaned by war. The Emahoy Tsege Mariam Music Foundation was also established to help children in need to study music. After her mother’s death in 1984, Guèbrou moved to the Ethiopian Monastery in Jerusalem. Her music has been used in the Oscar-nominated 2020 documentary Time and in Rebecca Hall’s Netflix drama Passing. Over her life, Guèbrou composed more than 150 original works of music for piano, organ, opera and chamber ensembles. Journalist and author Kate Molleson made a documentary about her for BBC Radio Four called The Honky Tonk Nun. She described Guèbrou as “a woman whose choices were determined by religious self-exile, maverick gender struggles and Ethiopia’s dramatic 20th-century political history – and who became a singular artist in the process”. Guèbrou once said to Molleson: “We can’t always choose what life brings. But we can choose how to respond.” This article was amended on 27 March 2023 to correct the name of the film The Honky Tonk Nun from “The Honky Tonk Man”.

Minecraft is one of the games that will support cross-platform gameplay with the Better Together update which will be released sometime next fall. Better Together will enable Xbox One, PC, Smartphones and Switch players to play together except PlayStation 4 players who will be deprived of this feature due to Sony's refusal to support it on PlayStation 4. Sony has justified the reasons for its refusal by being keen on children who make up a large proportion of Minecraft players and wants to keep them safe from any exploitation they may be exposed to if this feature is supported. Game developer Mojang seems to be unconvinced of the reason given by Sony.He revealed today that he is still in discussions with the company to persuade her to support the joint game feature Minecraft game between PlayStation 4 and the rest of the devices, and stated that if Sony allowed to support this feature will be children more safely than you think This update will work in accordance with the Xbox Live security conditions that give parents options to control their child's accounts, including chat room control and the things they want their children to see.

Bestowed by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the Primetime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. The award categories are divided into three classes: the regular Primetime Emmy Awards, the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards to honor technical and other similar behind-the-scenes achievements, and the Primetime Engineering Emmy Awards for recognizing significant contributions to the engineering and technological aspects of television. First given out in 1949, the award was originally referred to as simply the "Emmy Award" until the International Emmy Award and the Daytime Emmy Award were created in the early 1970s to expand the Emmy to other sectors of the television industry. The Primetime Emmy Awards generally air every September, on the Sunday before the official start of the fall television season. Since 1995, the Emmys have been broadcast in rotation among the four major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC), each network taking turns to air the ceremony every four years. The ceremony is typically moved to late August if it is broadcast by NBC (such as in 2006, 2010, and 2014), so that it does not conflict with NBC's commitment to broadcasting Sunday-night NFL games (due to another conflict, this time with the MTV Video Music Awards, the 2014 ceremony was also shifted to a Monday).[1] The 2018 ceremony, broadcast by NBC, was moved back to September and aired on a Top 3 Songs (Names): Other Information:-

Samsung announced that this year we will not see any new terminal from the Note series. Careful! The series does not disappear, it just takes a break until next year. Some major changes will probably happen. And now I realize that I haven't really seen any rumors about the new Note 21 series. The information comes from DJ Koh, head of the IT and mobile division within Samsung. So, in 2021 we won't have a new phone from the Note series and fans have to settle for the current models or a foldable model. DJ Koh also confirmed that only next year we will see a new Note terminal, which leads me to think that Samsung is working hard to relaunch the series. It would be the case since there is also the Fold series, and the future Fold 3 would also bring support for the Stylus

source The Raspberry Pi is great for many things, but emulating old computers and creating cyberdecks have be en vogue since the Pi was released. This Hackaday project, from crookedmouth1971 merges the two into one glorious retro gaming experience. CBM X64+ is a cyberdeck that emulates the po[CENSORED]r 1980s Commodore 64 home computer. The emulation side of things is provided by BMC64, a bare metal Commodore 64 emulator which boots in around four seconds. Emulating the Commodore 64 using BMC64 is pretty accurate. There is low latency and games can be quickly loaded from virtual cassettes, floppy disks and cartridge ROM images. The two controllers, use Sanwa style joysticks and arcade buttons which are wired directly to the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi 3A+. In one picture we spotted a Commodore 1351 "Tank" mouse, we're not sure if this is a modern reproduction, using USB, or a period accurate model using a DE9 port. The cyberdeck is housed in a custom wood enclosure which offers strength and durability. Sure you could laser cut your own case, you could even use one of the best 3D printers to construct a case. Given the size though, you may need an Elegoo Neptune 3 Max to print it in one go. Inside the case is the Raspberry Pi 3 A+, along with an Anker PowerCore battery. An 8 inch 4:3 aspect LCD screen rises majestically from the case, giving us a faux CRT experience. A 68 key mechanical keyboard (Gateron brown switches) is embedded into the case which appears to feature custom keycaps with facsimiles of PETSCII (PET Standard Code of Information Interchange) characters. These characters were po[CENSORED]r in the era to recreate graphics in BASIC programming projects. Topping off the build are reproduction case badges of the "Chicken Lips" Commodore logo, and a rather pleasing power LED badge.
