What is your proposal : Adding Rules column in game (/rules) How will it help the server : The player's will be well aware about rules and will not disobey the Rules Reason : Recently there were many rule breakings and other problems going in the server not only with the players also some of them were admins, so I suggest about adding a rules column in game. Most of the time they break the rule and when they are punished they simply reply that they are new and are not aware about the rules. Other details : The main reason of the suggestion is not all are aware about using Csblackdevil forum. Is it possible like adding something like /rules and all the rules will be displayed. So that the next time they break the rule we can tell them check rules Via /rules.

WASHINGTON – A former White House lawyer cautioned former President Donald Trump last year that he could face legal consequences if he did not give back government documents he took when he left office. In a meeting sometime in late 2021, Eric Herschmann warned Trump against keeping the documents, The New York Times reported, citing people familiar with a conversation between the men.. Trump did not make any promises about returning the documents, according to the Times. Herschmann defended Trump at his first impeachment trial and also testified to the Jan. 6 committee investigating the attack on the Capitol in June. Trump returned 15 boxes of documents to the National Archives in January, and the National archives reported in February. Speci:Special master asks Trump lawyers about records declassification before Tuesday conference Court documents released since the FBI's Aug. 8 search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida indicated that Trump kept classified documents marked "secret" and "top secret." The FBI seized documents as part of an ongoing investigation that may involve criminal laws forbidding improper removal of sensitive documents and obstruction of justice. U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has blocked the Justice Department's review while a special master she appointed reviews all 11,000 documents seized at Mar-a-Lago for personal papers or communications with lawyers. The special master, Raymond Dearie, set a Tuesday meeting with lawyers for Trump and the government to outline a schedule for reviewing the documents. Trump lawyers Tuesday refused to say whether he declassified documents that were seized by the FBI in his Florida estate, as Trump has claimed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/09/20/trump-herschmann-warned-2021-returned-documents-report/10433232002/

A farm in England was the unlikely source of a Jurassic jackpot: a treasure trove of 183 million-year-old fossils. On the outskirts of Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds, beneath soil that is currently trampled under the hooves of grazing cattle, researchers recently uncovered the fossilized remains of fish, giant marine reptiles called ichthyosaurs, squids, insects and other ancient animals dating to the early part of the Jurassic period (201.3 million to 145 million years ago). Of the more than 180 fossils logged during the dig, one of the standout specimens was a three-dimensionally preserved fish head that belonged to Pachycormus, an extinct genus of ray-finned fishes. The fossil, which researchers found embedded in a hardened limestone nodule poking out of the clay, was exceptionally well preserved and contained soft tissues, including scales and an eye. The 3D nature of the pose of the specimen's head and body was such that the researchers couldn't compare it to any other previous find. "The closest analogue we could think of was Big Mouth Billy Bass," said Neville Hollingworth, a field geologist with the University of Birmingham who discovered the site with his wife, Sally, a fossil preparator and the dig’s coordinator. "The eyeball and socket were well preserved. Usually, with fossils, they're lying flat. But in this case, it was preserved in more than one dimension, and it looks like the fish is leaping out of the rock," Hollingworth told Live Science. Live Science is supported by its audience. "You could see the scales, skin, spine — even its eyeball is still there." The sight astounded the Hollingworths so much that they contacted ThinkSee3D, a company that creates digital 3D models of fossils, to create an (opens in new tab)interactive 3D image(opens in new tab) of the fish to help bring it to life and to allow researchers to study it more closely. Related: Enormous graveyard of alien-like sea creatures discovered at 'Jurassic Pompeii' in central UK Most of the fossils the Hollingworths and a team of scientists and specialists unearthed were located behind the farm's cowshed. (The farm is home to a herd of English longhorn — a British breed of beef cattle with long, curved horns — many of which kept a close eye on the excavation.) "It was a bit unnerving digging when you're being watched by a herd of longhorn," Sally Hollingworth told Live Science. At one time, this region of the United Kingdom was completely submerged by a shallow, tropical sea, and the sediments there likely helped preserve the fossils; Neville Hollingworth described the Jurassic beds as slightly horizontal, with layers of soft clays under a shell of harder limestone beds. "When the fish died, they sank to the bottom of the seabed," said fossil marine reptile specialist Dean Lomax, a visiting scientist at the University of Manchester in the U.K. and a member of the excavation group. "As with other fossils, the minerals from the surrounding seabed continually replaced the original structure of the bones and teeth. In this case, the site shows that there was very little to no scavenging, so they must've been rapidly buried by the sediment. As soon as they hit the seabed, they were covered over and protected immediately." During the four-day dig earlier this month, the eight-person team used a digger to excavate 262 feet (80 meters) across the farm's grassy banks, "pulling back layers to reveal a small slice of geological time," Neville Hollingworth said. A number of diverse specimens dated to the Toarcian age (a stage of the Jurassic that occurred between 183 million and 174 million years ago) and included belemnites (extinct squid-like cephalopods), ammonites (extinct shelled cephalopods), bivalves and snails, in addition to fish and other marine animals. "It's important that we can compare these fossils with other Toarcian age fossil sites, not only in the U.K. but also across Europe and potentially sites in America," Lomax said. He pointed to Strawberry Bank Lagerstätte, an early Jurassic site in southern England, as one such example. The group plans to continue studying the specimens and is working toward publishing the findings. Meanwhile, a selection of the fossils will be placed on display at the Museum in the Park in Stroud. https://www.livescience.com/fossil-farm-fish-uk

So we poor neglected souls in the UK won’t have the opportunity to buy the Toyota GR Corolla. For a nation so used to opening its wallets for great hot-hatches, it's a genuine shame, especially when you think about the impact the Toyota GR Yaris has had However, we haven't been completely overlooked. From the Gazoo Racing stables, we do at least now have the option of a Toyota Supra manual. It's a model that represents an interesting second bite at the cherry for the fifth-gen Toyota Supra, which we’ve always regarded as being well-rounded and capable but, equally, has never truly gripped us. Toyota launched the three-pedal version of the Z4-underpinned Supra earlier this year (albeit only on circuit) and revealed that it had also taken the opportunity to fettle the car’s chassis. The manual model duly introduces firmer anti-roll bar bushings, increased damper rates and retuned power-steering, all intended to make the Supra feel more direct, controlled and engaging – stiffer competition for the Porsche Cayman, in short. There are also new, 19in forged wheels and lighter seats and overall nearly 40kg is saved compared to the automatic Supra, which uses an eight-speed torque converter. Note, though, that opting for Pro specification adds power-adjustable seats in leather and a 12-speaker JBL sound system, putting around 20kg back into the recipe. Note also that Toyota has no plans to pair this manual gearbox with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine of the entry-evel Supra. Such a car might have been a nice alternative for all those unable to secure slots for the sold-out Toyota GR86, but oh well. Toyota launched the three-pedal version of the Z4-underpinned Supra earlier this year (albeit only on circuit) and revealed that it had also taken the opportunity to fettle the car’s chassis. Note also that Toyota has no plans to pair this manual gearbox with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine of the entry-evel Supra. Such a car might have been a nice alternative for all those unable to secure slots for the sold-out Toyota GR86, but oh well. More specifically, the modestly weighted clutch-pedal is a little long but the shift-action itself is involving enough and far more fun that pulling the stubby little paddles found on the automatic car. There’s also something lovely about hitching higher gears early doors and letting the engine’s reserves of torque effortlessly drag you along. Equally, red-line upshifts are slick enough and, while there’s some crankshaft inertia with this turbocharged BMW straight-six, rev-matched downshifts come easily enough, though there is also an effective rev-matching function, which lends the car to everyday driving. Less impressive is fuel economy: the six-speed manual ’box means plenty of revs are needed for motorway cruising, while on B-roads you’re unlikely to match the efficiency of the automatic car, which slips itself into higher gears almost without you noticing. A smallish tank also doesn't help matters when it comes to your perception of the car's thirst, which feels considerable. As for the chassis tweaks, they do make the Supra usefully more throttle-adjustable and precise. Come fractionally out of the accelerator mid-corner, for example, and the long nose will tuck in gently and your line will tighten to satisfying effect. The original car did that but not to this extent. The steering response feels notably more alert too, though only perhaps to those intimately familiar with the original MY19 GR Supra. With that car there was always slight sense of delay as your commands on the steering wheel were fed forward. Now, with tighter body control at the front axle, direction changes happen faster and more in unison between driver and front axle. This improvement is particularly welcome because it give you that more confidence in what is a very fast car in the right circumstances. However, the changes don’t fundamentally alter the Supra's gentle understeer balance or fully placate back axle, with still gets agitated during cornering on less than perfectly smooth roads, where it can bob along a little awkwardly. Unsurprisingly this effect is particularly obvious with the softer of the two damper settings though the firmer setting doesn't kill it on the spot. So, while improved, the Supra is still no Cayman-slayer, mostly because it lacks the Porsche's immense composure and its transparent steering. It flows well enough but it's not something that you can really grab by the scruff and attack B-roads with. The DNA remains more GT than sports car. As such, ride quality remains good, so if do you want an attractive junior GT that you can just get in and go, and that is more involving than ever, the manual Supra is well worth considering. It also has that corker of an engine, which loves to spin out but is also tractable and just polite in daily driving. Most of all, though, there's really nothing else quite like it in this portion of the market. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/toyota/supra/first-drives/toyota-gr-supra-30-manual-2022-uk-review?dicbo=v2-aa1674e818175a74cbf1fe654d2530e6

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday announced a partial mobilization in Russia as the war in Ukraine reaches nearly seven months and Moscow loses ground on the battlefield. Putin’s address to the nation comes a day after Russian-controlled regions in eastern and southern Ukraine announced plans to hold votes on becoming integral parts of Russia. The Kremlin-backed efforts to swallow up four regions could set the stage for Moscow to escalate the war following Ukrainian successes. Putin said he has signed a decree on the partial mobilization, which is due to start on Wednesday. “We are talking about partial mobilization, that is, only citizens who are currently in the reserve will be subject to conscription, and above all, those who served in the armed forces have a certain military specialty and relevant experience,” Putin said. The referendums, which have been expected to take place since the first months of the war, will start Friday in the Luhansk, Kherson and partly Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. Putin said the decision to partially mobilize was “fully adequate to the threats we face, namely to protect our homeland, its sovereignty and territorial integrity, to ensure the security of our people and people in the liberated territories.” Earlier Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday dismissed Russian plans to stage referendums in occupied regions in eastern and southern Ukraine as a “noise” and thanked Ukraine’s allies for condemning the votes scheduled to start Friday. Four Russian-controlled regions announced plans Tuesday to start voting this week to become integral parts of Russia, which could set the stage for Moscow to escalate the war following Ukrainian successes on the battlefield. Former President Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy head of Russia’s Security Council chaired by Putin, said referendums that fold regions into Russia itself would make redrawn frontiers “irreversible” and enable Moscow to use “any means” to defend them. In his nightly address Zelenskyy said there were lots of questions surrounding the announcements but stressed that they would not change Ukraine’s commitment to retake areas occupied by Russian forces. “The situation on the front line clearly indicates that the initiative belongs to Ukraine,” he said. “Our positions do not change because of the noise or any announcements somewhere. And we enjoy the full support of our partners in this.” The upcoming votes, in the Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions are all but certain to go Moscow’s way. But they were quickly dismissed as illegitimate by Western leaders who are backing Kyiv with military and other support that has helped its forces seize momentum on battlefields in the east and south. “I thank all friends and partners of Ukraine for today’s mass principled firm condemnation of Russia’s attempts to stage new sham referenda,” Zelenskyy said. In another signal that Russia is digging in for a protracted and possibly ramped-up conflict, the Kremlin-controlled lower of house of parliament voted Tuesday to toughen laws against desertion, surrender and looting by Russian troops. Lawmakers also voted to introduce possible 10-year prison terms for soldiers refusing to fight. If approved, as expected, by the upper house and then signed by Putin, the legislation would strengthen commanders’ hands against failing morale reported among soldiers. In the Russian-occupied city of Enerhodar, shelling continued around Europe’s largest nuclear power plant. Ukrainian energy operator Energoatom said Russian shelling again damaged infrastructure at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and briefly forced workers to start two diesel generators for emergency power to the cooling pumps for one of the reactors. Such pumps are essential for avoiding a meltdown at a nuclear facility even though all six of the plant’s reactors have been shut down. Energoatom said the generators were later switched off as main power weas restored. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been a focus for concern for months because of fears that shelling could lead to a radiation leak. Russia and Ukraine blame each other for the shelling. “We are talking about partial mobilization, that is, only citizens who are currently in the reserve will be subject to conscription, and above all, those who served in the armed forces have a certain military specialty and relevant experience,” Putin stressed. Putin’s address to the nation comes a day after Russian-controlled regions in eastern and southern Ukraine announced plans to hold referendums on whether they want to become parts of Russia. On plans for referendums in Ukraine, Putin said, “We support these people", adding that he ordered his government to give legal status to volunteers fighting in Donbas as Russia aims to liberate the region. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2022/09/21/russian-president-vladimir-putin-announces-partial-mobilization/8070205001/ https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/in-rare-address-putin-announces-partial-military-mobilization-in-ukraine-101663740645272.html

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s eyes grew teary and his voice cracked with emotion as he informed his fellow countrymen of the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II. “Canada is in mourning,” he said solemnly. “She was one of my favorite people in the world.” Many Americans may not realize it, but Canada is still tied to the British monarchy. Queen Elizabeth served as Canada’s head of state for nearly half of its time as a country and remained a po[CENSORED]r figure among Canadians right up until her death on Sept. 8 at age 96. Her po[CENSORED]rity, however, did not translate to the monarchy itself. Fifty-eight percent of Canadians polled by Ipsos just a few days after the queen’s death said the time has come for Canada to hold a referendum on ending its formal ties to the British throne. It’s not just the Canadians who are rethinking their connection to the crown. The queen’s death also raises questions about the future of the Commonwealth, an association of 56 countries that include the 14 in which the British monarch remains their head of state. Calls for them to break away and form a republic are likely to spread now that the queen’s reign has ended and her eldest son, King Charles III, has ascended to the throne, analysts said. “Her absence, combined with recent developments in British politics, gives these countries certainly an opening, even perhaps an impetus, to start thinking about breaking away,” said Mark Vail, an expert on British politics and history at Wake Forest University. The Commonwealth won't collapse tomorrow, said Sue Onslow, director of the Institute of Commonwealth Studies in London, but “the processes of change are accelerating.” END OF AN ERA:Poignant moments at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, from emotional royals to funeral wreath 'Just the beginning' For many, change is long overdue. In the countries over which she reigned as head of state, the queen's rule was mostly ceremonial. She had no role in the day-to-day operations of government. Those decisions were left to those countries’ prime ministers and parliaments. But countries pay membership dues to the Commonwealth that go not to the monarchy but to the entity that runs the organization. Speaking ill of the dead?:We can't ignore Queen Elizabeth's complicated legacy Anti-memorial:King Charles III must do better than his mother on colonialism and reparations. Will he? Last November, Barbados officially ended nearly 400 years of British rule when it removed Queen Elizabeth as its head of state and swore in its own president in a ceremony in which Prince Charles – now King Charles III – was the guest of honor. The queen’s grandson, Prince William, and his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, were met with protests and calls for slavery reparations last spring when they embarked upon a tour of Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. Jamaica’s prime minister, Andrew Holness, informed the couple that his country would be moving ahead with its plans to ditch the monarchy and become a republic. Belize also signaled its intentions to break from the crown. Just days after the queen’s death, Gaston Browne, the prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda, told Britain’s ITV News that within three years he plans to hold a referendum on his country ditching the crown and becoming a republic. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said she believes her country will eventually become a republic but stressed that she doesn’t see it happening anytime soon. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who favors replacing the monarchy with a local head of state, said last week that he would hold off “out of respect for the queen” and would not pursue a referendum on the matter unless he is re-elected. “I think the noises that have been made by certain countries (to break from the crown) are just the beginning,” Vail said. SURVIVAL OF THE MONARCHY: Why Queen Elizabeth II's funeral is more than just ceremony 'The symbol of stability and continuity' During her 70-year reign, the longest in British history, Queen Elizabeth was able to hold the Commonwealth together because she was seen as the symbol of stability and continuity, Vail said. King Charles, however, doesn’t engender the same reverence as his mother. “Those are hard shoes to fill for Charles,” Vail said. Some of the monarchy’s diminished standing is generational. Younger people don’t feel the same connection to the crown as their elders did, Onslow said. “Older generations still have a sense of essential links and ties and appreciation of connectivity with the queen,” she said. “But that is now, of course, going to be dissipating.” Politic events – in Britain and across the world – are also a big factor. The U.K.’s decision to leave the European Union – or Brexit, as it’s known – diminished Britain’s stature on the international stage and caused some other countries to question the value of staying attached to the crown, Vail said. “Britain, by divorcing itself from the European Union, and in particular the shambolic way in which that was undertaken and the increasingly evident costs of that decision, has undermined the power and the prestige” of the crown, he said. Other events such as the death of King Charles’ first wife, Princess Diana; the sex scandal swirling around his brother, Prince Andrew; and the decision by his youngest son, Prince Harry, and wife Meghan to give up their royal titles and duties and move to America further dimmed the public’s view of the monarchy, Vail said. The Black Lives Matter movement that started in the United States also resonated in some former British colonies looking to separate themselves from the crown and who feel Britain hasn’t confronted the legacy of racism of its colonial history. “There is a lot of anger in certain Caribbean countries over what is seen as the monarchy’s refusal to engage with its past,” Onslow said. ROYAL BLING TO HANDMADE:70 years of iconic gifts US presidents exchanged with the queen“Older generations still have a sense of essential links and ties and appreciation of connectivity with the queen,” she said. “But that is now, of course, going to be dissipating.” Politic events – in Britain and across the world – are also a big factor. ROYAL BLING TO HANDMADE:70 years of iconic gifts US presidents exchanged with the queen 'An international brand' Yet even as some countries are looking to break their ties with Britain, others have recently entered the fold. Gabon and Togo, both former French colonies, were admitted to the Commonwealth earlier this year. Rwanda, which was never part of the British empire, joined the organization in 2009. Rwanda may have been attracted to the organization as a way to have more visibility on the world stage, especially as it sought be known internationally for more than a genocide that occurred there in 1994, said Patrick Vernon, a racial equality campaigner whose book "100 Great Black Britons" was published in the U.S. in 2021. "All countries want to be part of a wider network," he said. The Commonwealth, he said, “is an international brand that many countries want to be associated with.” Vernon, who grew up and lives in the U.K. but whose parents are from Jamaica, said that in Africa and the Caribbean the Commonwealth is "well-regarded" overall as an institution that brings economic and political clout to member-organizations. In the wake of Brexit, however, some have started to question whether the U.K. is as well-placed to help Commonwealth members strengthen their governance models, facilitate development and promote human rights, he said. He noted that a recent attempt by the British government to transfer refugees who had traveled to the U.K. from Syria, Iraq and other places to Rwanda appeared to be a step backward. King Charles, meanwhile, has his work cut out for him as more countries contemplate a future separate from the crown, Vail said. While an argument can be made for holding the Commonwealth together in the interests of continuity, “I think that path becomes increasingly difficult with time,” he said. “I’m certain that his advisers are now thinking very carefully about how and to the extent to which he should broach that subject.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/09/19/british-commonwealth-countries-consider-cutting-ties-with-monarchy/10387767002/

In a new study, jumping spiders seem to exhibit similar sleep patterns to humans. Imagine a spider hanging from a silky thread, as still as a corpse, until its eight legs unexpectedly tremble. While this might sound like a horror movie, it's actually a nightly experience for jumping spiders (Evarcha arcuate) who can reach rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the stage in which most dreaming occurs, a new study finds. In the study, published Aug. 8 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences(opens in new tab), researchers used cameras to examine jumping spiders while they slept, watching the motions of the arachnids’ eyes and bodies throughout the night. The twitching movements the team witnessed as the spiders snoozed was similar to that seen in humans and other mammals such as dogs, as well as nonavian reptiles and cephalopods during REM sleep. The discovery came about unexpectedly for lead study author Daniela C. Rößler, a behavioral and evolutionary ecologist and postdoctoral fellow at the University of Konstanz in Germany. She was originally planning to study the arachnids' reactions to 3D-printed models of predatory spiders. But her research took a swift detour when she observed the spiders while they slept; at one point, she thought they were dead. "They were all hanging from the lids of their boxes," Rößler told Scientific American(opens in new tab). "I had no idea what happened." Jumping spider (E. arcuata) exhibiting leg curling during a REM sleep-like state. (Image credit: Daniela C. Rößler) For the study, Rößler and her team used an infrared camera to record 34 spiderlings (juvenile spiders). They witnessed "unmistakable eye-tube movements" that didn't occur at other times throughout the spiders' sleep cycles. According to the paper, jumping spiders have movable retinal tubes that help them redirect their gaze, and in spiderlings, these movements can be seen through their exoskeleton, which remains translucent during their youth. The spiders' retinal movements occured at the same time as the leg curling and jerking, which are similar to limb movements seen in other animals experiencing REM sleep, according to a statement(opens in new tab). And while the scientists couldn't easily observe retinal movements in adult jumping spiders, they did document similar leg movements happening at regular intervals during sleeping bouts. Prior to this research, not much was known about the sleep patterns of spiders and other invertebrates, since the study of REM sleep is still largely focused on mammals and birds. However, scientists have already recorded similar actions in two other invertebrates: octopuses and cuttlefish, Live Science previously reported. While Rößler cautioned that it's too soon to say for certain that jumping spiders are dreaming, the evidence looks promising. To broaden her research, she and her team must conduct brain scans to prove that the spiders' brains are actually in a REM-like state. That's a tricky undertaking, considering that these tiny spiders, which measure about a quarter of an inch (6 millimeters) long, have brains the size of poppy seeds. To record the spiders' brain activity, scientists will need to insert an electrode into each spider's brain without crushing it. Until then, scientists might find themselves dreaming about spider dreams. "I personally think they are dreaming — just like any person watching a dog or cat sleep and kick their leg will think that they're dreaming — but being able to scientifically prove that is a whole different story," Rößler told The Harvard Gazette(opens in new tab). "I don't think we can say they are, and I'm not even sure we will ever be able to say it, but the fact alone that we're thinking about it is already quite amazing." https://www.livescience.com/jumping-spider-rem-sleep-dream

It’s unusual to know quite so much about the whole life cycle of a sports car, both past and future, as we already do about the Alpine A110. We know, for instance, that while the first examples were delivered in mainland Europe in 2017, the last will be made sometime in early 2024, before the firm’s Dieppe factory is repurposed for production of its all-new family of electric Alpine models. There is to be an electric successor to the current A110 developed alongside Lotus, of course, but also a performance version of the Renault 5 electric hatchback and a slightly bigger electric crossover coupé. Just which of those cars will be made at Dieppe, and which elsewhere, remains to be seen, but it’s a safe bet that there won’t be room for combustion-engined cars there any longer. The clock is clearly ticking for the piston-engined A110, then. It has already spawned a number of special editions, not to mention a full hat-trick of motorsport versions (Cup, GT4 and Rally). But, on the eve of the arrival of a facelifted A110, we are now taking the chance to run the road test rule over what, in principle, looks like the definitive version of the pre-facelift car: the Légende GT. This model is a chimaera of a kind: an A110 with the softer chassis settings of the mid-range Légende derivative but the uprated 288bhp engine, brakes and sports exhaust of the track-day-ready A110 S (a car whose firmer suspension and more purposeful execution haven’t been taken to quite as keenly in this parish as simpler, freer-flowing versions of the A110). So does that make this limited edition the perfect version of a sports car that has already hit some spectacular high notes over the past four years? Let’s find out. The Alpine A110 line-up at a glance Being a 300-unit end-of-production special for the pre-facelift A110, the Légende GT overlaps a little with Alpine’s mid-cycle updated A110, which benefited from a little more power and torque as well as some interior equipment revisions. The 2022 range dumps the old Pure and Légende trim names, preferring instead a base-grade A110, and closely priced alternative range-toppers in the GT and S versions. The GT and S are equipped to a similar level but to differing effects, while the standard car does without a sports exhaust and parking sensors as standard. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/alpine/a110-legende-gt

Drivers are suing electric car manufacturer Tesla, accusing the company of deceiving consumers about the abilities of its autopilot system, which is sold for thousands of dollars as an add-on to its cars. The class-action lawsuit filed this week in a California court by Tesla customer Briggs Matsko, who said he paid $5,000 for the autopilot upgrade in 2018 Tesla Model X, seeks damages and a jury trial. It claims Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, broke several warranty, false advertising, negligence, fraud and deceit laws. “In every year since 2016, Tesla and Musk have repeatedly made deceptive and misleading statements to consumers indicating that a fully self-driving, fully autonomous Tesla vehicle was just around the corner, often expressly stating that would occur by the end of that calendar year or ‘within the next year’,” says the lawsuit, which was viewed by USA TODAY. Lawsuit alleges deception in Tesla videos The lawsuit pointed to several statements about Tesla’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, the name of its autopilot technology, made by Musk online and by the company on its website. They include a 2016 video shot from behind the wheel showing a Tesla car completely driving itself to its destination through busy streets and intersections. “In reality, Tesla employees [who] made the video would later reveal that the car in the video had significant assistance from commercial mapping software not available to Tesla customers, and that the car still performed poorly and even ran into a fence during filming,” the lawsuit says. The video is still featured “prominently” on Tesla’s website, according to the lawsuit. From 2017 to 2019, the company promised on its website that certain versions of its cars would be capable of “full-self driving in almost all circumstances,” and “conduct short and long distance trips with no action required by the person in the driver’s seat,” according to the lawsuit. In addition, Musk promised Tesla vehicles would be able to perform a fully autonomous cross-country drive in 2016 and again in 2019.. A fully autonomous cross-country trek has yet to be made. Want an EV? Here's what to know about buying a used electric vehicle Part of the suit draws on several collisions, some of them fatal, over the years involving Tesla cars on self-drive mode, including a 2018 solo highway crash that killed a Tesla driver commuting to his Silicon Valley job. A National Transportation Safety Board investigation concluded a probable cause was the Tesla Autopilot system that steered the vehicle into a highway gore area "due to system limitations.” Another probable cause was the driver’s own inattentiveness facilitated by “the Tesla vehicle’s ineffective monitoring of driver engagement,” the investigation said. Musk announces price hikes, despite controversy The lawsuit cites multiple examples of high-level Tesla employees and its legal counsel contradicting Musk’s public characterizations of ADAS’s self-driving capabilities over the past few years. It also points to the California Department of Motor Vehicles' accusation in July that Tesla falsely advertised its autopilot system. Self-driving cars are a thing of the future:But are they right around the corner? Despite its troubles, Tesla has steadily increased the price of its ADAS upgrades. Musk announced in August that Tesla would increase the price of the system on its new cars from $12,000 to $15,000 this month. USA TODAY's request for comment to Tesla was not immediately returned Thursday. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2022/09/15/tesla-elon-musk-sued-autopilot/10386771002/
