Is Twingate the answer to securing remote workers? As employees worldwide have transitioned to working from home during the pandemic, many organizations have found that the VPN services they used to use to access corporate networks securely are unable to support their massive remote workforces. For this reason, a number of companies have begun offering new remote access tools that aim to be more secure and faster than existing corporate VPNs. Twingate is one such company and it recently announced that its new VPN alternative is now available worldwide after three months of testing. Twingate was founded by Tony Huie, Alex Marshall and Lior Rozner and its team built their new VPN alternative by focusing on security and ease of management in the same way they did while building products at Dropbox and Microsoft. In the about page on its site, the founders explained what led them to begin building Twingate back in 2018, saying: We've put together a list of the best business VPN services Secure your entire network with one of the best VPN routers Also check out our roundup of the best antivirus software “We started building Twingate in 2018 to solve the challenges every company faces around securing remote access. Although almost every technology evolved over the preceding 15 years and moved to the cloud - and although the way that people work has also changed - we were amazed to learn that remote access was still overwhelmingly provided via VPNs, a technology that has been largely unchanged since the 1990s. We discovered the reason for this was that organizations felt that complex migration paths and lack of ease of use were intimidating barriers to adopting a better, more secure approach.” Twingate Twingate was built from the ground up to support today's work from anywhere world and the new solution enables companies to secure their critical resources while offering a seamless experience for remote workers with simple management for IT admins. In fact, Twingate can be deployed in less than 15 minutes. Twingate offers a number of benefits for end users including a mesh network overlay that gives them direct access to the information and applications they need, smart tunneling which 'auto-segregates' traffic, patented network congestion optimization technology and a 'Dropbox-style' experience that runs in the background and requires minimal user interaction. On the security front, the solution supports zero trust, multiple cryptographic security checks per connection and network cloaking. Twingate also integrates with major identity providers such as Okta, Google and Microsoft to provide secure access. In terms of pricing, Twingate offers both a free Starter plan as well as plans for Teams, Business and Enterprise. The Starter plan allows for up to two users to use the service on two devices each and they can set up one remote network. The company's Teams plan costs $5 per user per month and allows for up to 50 users, five devices per user and five remote networks. Twingate's Business plan raises the number of users to 150 and allows for 10 remote networks as well as resource-level access control for $10 per user per month. Twingate also offers an Enterprise plan with no user or device limits and more advanced features but you will need to contact the company for a quote.

Baby Yoda fans on Twitter are seeing a fun surprise related to The Mandalorian's Season 2 premiere. The Mandalorian Season 2 has arrived on Disney+, and we have some news about the premiere episode: It features plenty of Baby Yoda. That may not actually be news, but Mando fans who took to Twitter tonight to tweet about the show got a nice surprise when interacting with tweets about the show: In addition to seeing an emoji of Din Djarin's helmet alongside the hashtag #TheMandalorian, users will see a tiny, animated "The Child" (AKA Baby Yoda) pop up every time they like a tweet featuring said hashtag. You might have noticed this organically if, like us, you stayed up past your bedtime tonight to watch The Mandalorian's Season 2 premiere. But it was also brought to our attention on Twitter by Brandon San Giovanni, who, according to his bio, works on Disney+. "In case anyone was wondering, you bet your ass we made it so that the heart turns into baby Yoda when you like a tweet with #TheMandalorian hashtag," he wrote in response to a fan. The Mandalorian Season 2 may prove to be one of the highlights of 2020, and interacting with other Star Wars fans on Twitter for the next couple of months is going to be just a bit more fun thanks to this little trick. Naturally, we're going to be covering the whole season, so stay tuned to GameSpot for all the Baby Yoda and Mando you can handle. If you're looking forward to Season 2 as much as us, check out our wish list for the new episodes. If it's been a while since you watched Season 1, check out our Mandalorian story refresher. And if you're simply wondering how to watch The Mandalorian Season 2, don't worry--we have you covered there too.

Nearly 100,000 people are catching coronavirus every day in England, a major analysis suggests. The study, by Imperial College London, says the pace of the epidemic is accelerating and estimates the number of people infected is now doubling every nine days. The authors say we are at a "critical stage" and "something has to change". France and Germany have turned to forms of lockdown to control the virus. The government here is sticking to its regional strategy. Experts are warning that we are fast approaching the peak in infections seen in the spring. The React-1 study is highly influential because it is the most up-to-date assessment of Covid-19 in the country, with the last swabs taken only on Sunday and nearly 86,000 volunteers taking part. It shows cases are rising in every age group and in every region of England. While cases are currently highest in the North, infections are surging more rapidly in the South. The study compared the latest swabs collected between 16 and 25 October with the last round of swabs, between 18 September and 5 October. It suggests: The number of people infected has more than doubled since the last round, with one in every 78 people now testing positive. The hardest hit area is Yorkshire and the Humber, where one every 37 people has the virus, followed by the North West region. Three times as many people aged 55-64 are infected and twice as many over 65s. The pace of the epidemic has accelerated with the R number - the number of people each infected person passes the virus on to on average - increasing from 1.15 to 1.56. Overall, the number of people infected is doubling every nine days. The South East, South West, east of England and London all have an R above 2.0. London has an estimated R of 2.86. Cases are spiking in young people in the South West in a repeat of the pattern seen in northern England just over a month ago. 96,000 people are now catching the virus every day Prof Steven Riley, one of the authors, said he was "really disappointed" when the data started coming in and said it meant the "current measures are not sufficient". "There has to be a change, the rate of growth is really quite rapid, one way or another there has to be a change before Christmas," he said. He argued this could be either the general public following the rules more closely or government imposing tougher restrictions on our lives. "If we are going to consider at some point over the winter something much more stringent it becomes a question of timing. I think these results do argue for something sooner rather than later," Prof Riley said. Presentational grey line Analysis: Stark picture of a challenging winter This study paints a stark picture of where we are and where we could be heading. If there was no change in the reported nine-day doubling time, there would be more than a million infections a day by the end of November. That is a considerable "if", but it demonstrates the threat posed by the virus if it is allowed to grow exponentially. Somehow, we have to navigate a challenging winter, balancing the virus and the cost of restrictions. France and Germany have turned to forms of lockdown, albeit not as severe as those endured earlier in the year. The government here is sticking to its regional strategy. But the hardest fact to digest today may be that it is still only October. Spring, when hopefully the weather and vaccine will make the virus easier to control, is still a long way away. Presentational grey line Prof Paul Elliott, another report author, said "we're at a critical period in the second wave" and that higher cases "will lead to more hospitalisations and loss of life". He said we have to cut the number of people we interact with to curb the Commenting on the data, Prof Paul Hunter from the University of East Anglia told BBC News: "It's going to be a really difficult winter." "Even if we're not there now, we'll have surpassed the peak in a week or two unless some miracle happens, but I'm not betting on it," he said. "The death rate, though, is substantially lower than it was as more young people are affected and we have better treatments." Prof Igor Rudan, from the University of Edinburgh, said the React-1 study should be considered "very accurate and reliable scientific evidence that shows that a very large second wave" is under way. "It will inevitably lead to a very large number of infections, severe episodes and deaths in the coming weeks and months," he said.

Microsoft employees spend their time on the same internet as we do, and they know its memes. They’ve seen all our jokes about the Xbox Series X looking like a fridge, and they’ve acknowledged them before. But now they’re upping the meme game themselves by fully leaning into their console’s reputation and making an actual, functioning, full-sized refrigerator that looks like an Xbox Series X. And if you’re lucky enough, you can take it home. The Xbox Series X fridge is a functioning, full-size refrigerator that I really wish Microsoft would start selling as a regular product. From the outside, it looks almost exactly like a real Xbox Series X, just much larger. And that includes a light-up Xbox logo on the front and plenty of (cosmetic only) giant I/O in the back. The catch is that there's just one winner, though some influencers and Snoop Dogg also got their hands on them. To enter the contest, simply follow the official Xbox Twitter account and retweet the contest’s announcement tweet (embedded above) with the hashtag #XSXFridgeSweeps. If you win, Microsoft will send you the fridge, which is estimated at a $499 value. Note that there’s no freezer included on this machine, which we think means that there’s plenty of room for Sony to sweep in with a contest of its own. To compare it to the real Series X, see our hands-on with the console. Who knows? Maybe in the future, Microsoft and Sony will be fully invested in kitchen gadgets while KFC handles our gaming consoles. The fake engine noise, which comes from speakers positioned inside and outside the vehicle, is designed to enhance whatever noise the three-cylinder 1.5-liter mill makes. Of note, it's the same engine used by a regular Mini Cooper, so really, you can't expect much. Or can you? The video above, uploaded on YouTube by user Janky Whips, shows us that even without the artificial exhaust note that BMW employed, the i8 still sounds like a proper sports car – or at least that's what the footage suggests. If you're skeptical, well, you should. The uploader was honest about what he did to capture the sounds. According to the description, the sound you hear in the video was a combination of two separate recordings: one taken from inside the cabin and another taken through a mic attached to the bumper six inches away from the muffler tip. In short, the sound would be different because in the real world because nobody can't hear both exterior and interior noises simultaneously – at least not in the same mix and not as harmonized as what you hear in the video. In any case, Janky Whips was quick to defend that the sound would still be accurate but just not the volume. We're still dubious. How about you? Let us know your thoughts below.

Courtesy of Collabora’s work that might make its way into Linux Kernel 5.11 Gaming on Linux systems could be about to get a lot more inclusive thanks to the work of one open-source company. Headquartered in Cambridge, Collabora specializes in open source consultancy and development. The company has been working to improve the Linux kernel to better support gaming on the behest of Valve, who has been sponsoring the work. While gaming on Linux has made major positive strides in the last few years, a vast majority of games still continue to be developed exclusively for Windows. Valve’s approach to bring this Windows-only gaming ecosystem to Linux is through emulation. Here are some of the best games available on sale on Steam And here are the best Linux distros for gaming Improve your game-play with the best gaming mice To that end it has developed an open source tool called Proton (forked from the open source Wine compatibility layer), which allows Windows-only games to run atop Linux, without any noticeable performance penalties. Major milestone Speaking at the recent Open Source Summit, Europe 2020, being held virtually for the first time, Gabriel Krisman Bertazi from Collabora talked about the "State of Linux Gaming". During his presentation Gabriel talked about all the work Collabora has been doing to fulfill Valve's requirements to further improve support for Windows games on Linux with Steam Play (via Proton). One of the big missing pieces of the puzzle is support for anti-cheat mechanisms, which causes quite a lot of Windows games to fail to load on Linux. Gabriel discussed the various strategies Collabora employed to remove this hurdle and how he expects their work in this regard to make its way into Linux Kernel 5.11. While Gabriel’s talk was aimed at developers it shows Valve’s positive intentions when it comes to improving gaming on Linux. In addition to Collabora, the po[CENSORED]r game developer and distributor is also working with CodeWeavers and other developers to improve the Linux graphics stack.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town looks comfortingly familiar in its first trailer. Amid all the exciting action games announced or shown in the latest Nintendo Direct Mini, one game stood out for how relaxing it looked. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is, effectively, the latest game in the long-running Harvest Moon series (due to some complicated rights issues that necessitated a name change), and it looks lovely. The game has a familiar set-up: you play as a character who has decided to take over their grandfather's run-down farm, cleaning it up and becoming a member of the community, leaving your city life behind. It sounds a lot like Stardew Valley, which was, of course, inspired by Harvest Moon. As of right now, the game has only been announced for Nintendo Switch. The trailer, below, shows off all the wood-chopping, farm-building, and villager-romancing we've come to expect from the genre. Seeing that well-maintained vegetable plot will be enough to make genre fans itch to build something. There are shades of Animal Crossing: New Horizons here, too--Olive Town is a seaside town, so there will be fishing mechanics to enjoy. Earlier this year, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town released on Switch, which was an expanded remake of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. It received a 5/10 in GameSpot's review.

Democratic White House challenger Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump as a conman during a campaign foray into traditionally Republican territory. In Georgia, Mr Biden said that Mr Trump's handling of coronavirus amounted to a "capitulation". Mr Trump kept blitzing the swing states that he won in 2016, warning in Michigan that its "economic survival" was on the line if Mr Biden won. According to opinion polls, Mr Trump lags behind with a week to go. But the race is tighter in critical battleground states such as Arizona, Florida and North Carolina. More than 69 million people have already voted early by post or in person in a record-breaking surge driven mainly by the coronavirus pandemic. How is Donald Trump doing in the polls? A really simple guide to the US election The other US election that's hugely important media caption What did Trump say? On Tuesday, Mr Trump held rallies in Nebraska and two states he snatched from Democrats in 2016: Michigan and Wisconsin. In Lansing, Michigan's capital, he warned: "This election is a matter of economic survival for Michigan." And he told suburban women, a demographic that many opinion polls suggest he is struggling to win over: "Your husbands, they want to get back to work, right? We're getting your husbands back to work." Before leaving the White House, the president renewed his criticism of postal ballots - more than 46 million of which have been cast so far. The huge volume of mail-in votes, which could take days or weeks to tally, means a winner is not certain to be known on election night next week. "It would be very, very proper and very nice if a winner were declared on November 3, instead of counting ballots for two weeks, which is totally inappropriate," Mr Trump told reporters before heading to the Midwest. Why we might have to wait for the US election results Do claims of US postal voting fraud stack up? Mr Trump - who only this month was admitted to hospital with coronavirus - is planning a head-spinning 11 rallies in the final two days of the election campaign before voting day next Tuesday. Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump joined the campaign fray solo for the first time on Tuesday, assailing Mr Biden as a "socialist". media captionMelania Trump: "Media created picture of my husband I don't recognise" In the critical election state of Pennsylvania, Mrs Trump cast doubt on Mr Biden's claims that he could do a better job as president. "Well, the American people can look at Joe Biden's 36 years in Congress and eight years in the vice-presidency and determine whether they think he'll finally be able to get something done for the American people." line Trump sprints down homestretch Analysis box by Anthony Zurcher, North America reporter If Donald Trump loses the White House next week, it won't be for a lack of effort on the campaign trail down the stretch. On Tuesday, he kicked off a three-day, multi-state swing across the country with a stop in Lansing, Michigan. Despite a temperature hovering just above freezing as light rain mixed with ice pelted the airfield, a crowd of several thousand waited for hours to see the president. "I'm working my ass off," Mr Trump told the cheering throngs of people, who at one point responded with chants of "We love you". The president went on to speak for more than an hour, mixing in his normal stump-speech attacks on his opponent, Joe Biden, with some more focused riffs on immigration and trade in the car-industry-dominated state. He once again attacked the state's Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer, for aggressive attempts to mitigate the spread of Covid-19, to which the crowd responded with the now-familiar "lock her up" chant. Michigan was perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2016 election, as Mr Trump narrowly carried it over Hillary Clinton despite opinion polls before the election showing him behind by sometimes large margins. The polls aren't encouraging for the president this time around either, although after the rally the campaign gave printouts to the press suggesting that Republicans have a slight advantage in returned ballots in the state so far. Another Michigan surprise would go a long way toward unlocking a path for the president to re-election. line What did Biden say? In a trip to Warm Springs, Georgia, on Tuesday, Mr Biden vowed to be "a president who doesn't divide us, but unites us" and someone who could "heal this nation". Georgia has not voted for a Democrat for president since 1992, but opinion polls suggest the Democrat is statistically tied with Mr Trump in the southern state. media captionBiden speaks in Warm Springs, Georgia Even as he presented himself as a president for all Americans regardless of party, Mr Biden targeted his rival. "Time and again throughout our history, we have seen the charlatans, the conmen, the phony populists - who have sought to play to our fears, appeal to our worst appetites, and pick at the oldest scabs we have for their own political gain. "They appear when the nation has been hit the hardest and we're at our most vulnerable. Never to solve anything. Always to benefit themselves." media captionBBC Reality Check break down what US elections cost and who pays for them Mr Biden kept hammering away at his opponent's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 225,000 Americans. He said Mr Trump had "shrugged. He's swaggered. And he's surrendered." In a sign of the Biden campaign's confidence that it can expand the electoral map, he will travel later this week to Iowa, a state that Mr Trump won by 10 points four years ago. Mr Biden's running mate, Kamala Harris, will head to Arizona and Texas, where no Democrat has been elected to statewide office since 1994. No doubt mindful that 2016 Democratic White House nominee Hillary Clinton also tried to make in-roads in Republican states, only to lose critical Democratic strongholds, Mr Biden is also scheduled to visit Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida in the coming days. media captionExplaining the Electoral College and which voters will decide who wins Former President Barack Obama was back on the trail in Florida on Tuesday on behalf of his former vice-president. At a drive-in rally in Orlando, Mr Obama warned Democratic voters not to be "complacent" or "lazy", allowing Mr Trump to pull off another come-from-behind victory as he did in 2016.

The patent drawings come to life with these rendered images. The next-generation Honda Civic got an unofficial debut last month, albeit through two consecutive patent drawing submissions discovered and unearthed by Civic XI forums. The patent submissions were available in both sedan and hatchback flavors, giving us a first look at the 11th-generation Honda Civic before its intended debut next year. Our team of artists wasted no time and brought the pale patent drawings to life, providing us a set of exclusive renderings that preview what the next Honda Civic could look like in full color along with some details. Gallery: 2022 Honda Civic Renderings We're afraid that the 2022 Honda Civic will have a restrained design when compared to the current-generation model that will be on offer until next year. It adopts some design elements from its bigger brother, the Honda Accord, and the Civic-derived hybrid, the Insight. These elements can be seen on the wing grille and headlamp ensemble, albeit, the rendering here deviates a bit with a split front intake. While this rendering takes a lot of cues from the patent drawings, our artists added expected features into the mix such as a bigger set of sporty-looking rims, as well as a sunroof and other details that add depth to the rendering. Take these images with precaution, though, since there could be changes done on the production model, which is confirmed to debut in late spring of 2021. The body-colored "nose" could come as black or chrome just like the Accord, which would actually work for the car. We'll know more when Honda officially releases the 2022 Civic sedan next year, which will be launched globally with a hatchback counterpart, but the two-door version won't be appearing in the next-generation model due to waning demand. The performance Si and Type R versions are confirmed to arrive shortly after the mainstream model's launch.

AV receivers are the perpetrators According to a report from heise.de, a German news outlet, a bug in HDMI 2.1 outputs on select AV receivers is causing black screens when enabling 4K 120Hz capabilities on Nvidia's Ampere graphics cards or Microsoft's Xbox Series X. As it turns out, this issue specifically impacts HDMI 2.1 chips from Panasonic, which are installed in Denon, Marantz, and Yamaha AV receivers. For some reason, the chips cannot display the 4K resolution at 120Hz without errors with specific hardware, like the Ampere GPUs and Microsoft's upcoming console. Fortunately, the issue seems hardware-specific, other gaming devices like the PS5 seem to function perfectly fine. For now, the solution is to reduce your resolution and/or refresh rate to HDMI 2.0b standards (4K 60Hz). Another fix is to connect your AV receiver to your TV's eARC HDMI port and connect your affected device to the TV. This way the AV receiver only deals with processing audio while the TV handles everything else. New fixes are underway, and Panasonic should be manufacturing new HDMI 2.1 chips that are free of this bug by the middle of 2021. Unfortunately, this also means you'll need to replace your AV receiver if your unit is bugged, and you can't use any of the workarounds already mentioned.

CD Projekt Red's open-world RPG will now launch in December. Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed by another three weeks. Its new release date is set for December 10. Following numerous previous delays, it had been set for launch on November 19, but according to a statement from studio execs Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwinski, shipping the game on PS4/Pro, Xbox One/X, and PC, alongside next-gen versions for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Stadia, has been a challenge, especially under work from home conditions. "Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly," the statement continues. "We're aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do." Statement From CD Projekt Red On Cyberpunk 2077 Delay The pair also clarified that recent news that the game had gone gold doesn't mean work on the game was complete, as the team is able to continue refining the experience. The time the studio had allotted to doing this post-certification work is what was miscalculated, thus resulting in the delay. The improvements and tweaks being made in the extra time will be ready and available when the game launches in December. You can read the full statement from Badowski and Iwinski below. "Today, we've decided to move the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 by 21 days. The new release date is December 10th. Most likely, there are many emotions and questions in your heads, so, first and foremost, please accept our humble apologies. The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test 9 versions of it (Xbox One/X, compatibility on Xbox Series S|X, PS4/Pro, compatibility on PS5, PC, Stadia)...while working from home. Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly. We're aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do. Some of you might also be wondering what these words mean in light of us saying we achieved gold master some time ago. Passing certification, or 'going gold,' means that the game is ready, can be completed, and has all content in it. But it doesn't mean we stop working on it and raising the quality bar. On the contrary, this is the time where many improvements are being made which will then be distributed via a Day 0 patch. This is the time period we undercalculated. We feel we have an amazing game on our hands and are willing to make every decision, even the hardest ones, if it ultimately leads to you getting a video game you'll fall in love with." The Industry and Fans React The delay--nowhere near the first in Cyberpunk 2077's storied history--has spawned mixed reactions from the game industry and fans. Arc System Works decided to scare its own fans by riffing on CD Project Red's announcement template. TinyBuild commented on the horror many game developers are probably experiencing after delaying their own game to avoid competing with Cyberpunk 2077 in November. The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account even took the opportunity to joke about the news, replying to a thread from just yesterday where it had previously promised "full confirmation" that the game would be released in November. After two previous delays, the studio said in September that Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn't be delayed again, with the November 19 date being the final, cemented release date. CD Projekt Red later instituted mandatory extra work, with studio head Badowski saying the game was nearing completion in his statement confirming the crunch period. "These last 6 weeks are our final sprint on a project we've all spent much of our lives on," Badowski wrote. "Something we care for deeply. The majority of the team understands that push, especially in light of the fact that we've just sent the game to cert and every day brings us visibly closer to shipping a game we want to be proud of." According to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, word of the delay was not shared with CDPR staff in advance. Instead, an internal email was reportedly sent out at the same time as the news was shared publicly on Twitter. As noted in CD Projekt Red's statement on the delay, Cyberpunk 2077 will have a launch-day patch, but it hasn't confirmed what to expect in it. Although the game will be playable on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5, it won't be native to those consoles. CDPR has promised free upgrades are coming for the new consoles, but has not set a release target for those versions.

It's made by Advanced RV and it's packed with features normally found in larger RVs. Advanced RV knows a thing or two about utilizing limited space in a van platform. We’ve seen some impressive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter conversions from the company before, notably an off-grid adventure vehicle and a curious creation with an interior greener than the Incredible Hulk. This latest project doesn’t really convert an existing Sprinter as it does upsize it to a box van, but the modest exterior shape contains a next-level array of features. It's called the B Box, a name that Advanced RV says reflects this being a van-based Class B motorhome. It starts as a Mercedes Sprinter chassis cab, at which point Advanced RV bolts up a custom living box built from fiberglass, plywood, and closed-cell urethane foam. The design makes it well-insulated for four-season use, however, the exterior dimensions exactly match those of a typical Sprinter conversion van. As such, its exterior footprint is that of a van but inside there's an extra nine inches of width, and the ceilings are 80 inches tall. Gallery: Advanced RV B Box Merceded Sprinter Camper Conversion Even more impressive is everything the B Box carries. It has all the features of a large motorhome, including a full kitchen and bathroom with a shower fed by torrents of water. It carries a 50-gallon freshwater tank, along with a pair of 27.5-gallon tanks for gray and black water. A neat shower recycling system is available that cleans and disinfects shower water, allowing the water to be used repeatedly. The recycled water also flushes the toilet, and tanks are heated by an in-floor heating system that also provides heat for passengers. When it comes to power, a 48-volt 15.2 Kilowatt-hour lithium battery system is part of an advanced electrical system. Charging comes via an additional alternator mounted to the Sprinter's engine, and it's all controlled through a software suite designed by Advanced RV and controlled through touchscreen interfaces. And the interior is so airtight, an air exchanger is used to ensure fresh airflow for those enjoying the B Box living quarters. Technically speaking, the B Box is currently a prototype but it's expected to cost between $300,000 to $500,000 depending on options and equipment. That's certainly not cheap, but it's comparable with other Advanced RV builds and it certainly punches above its weight class in terms of features and capacities.

Doctors in the Belgian city of Liège have been asked to keep working even if they have coronavirus amid a surge in cases and hospital admissions. About a quarter of medical staff there are reportedly off sick with Covid-19. Now 10 hospitals have requested that staff who have tested positive but do not have symptoms keep working. The head of the Belgian Association of Medical Unions told the BBC they had no choice if they were to prevent the hospital system collapsing within days. Dr Philippe Devos acknowledged that there was an obvious risk of transferring the virus to patients. One in three people tested are coming back positive with the virus in the eastern Belgian city. Hospitals are transferring patients elsewhere and cancelling non-urgent surgeries, days after Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke warned the country was close to a "tsunami" of infections where authorities "no longer control what is happening". The decision comes as governments across Europe try to tackle fresh waves of coronavirus infections. At a news conference on Monday, World Health Organization (WHO) officials suggested travel restrictions, stay at home orders or even national lockdowns may be needed across the continent to tackle the fresh outbreaks. "Right now we are well behind this virus in Europe, so getting ahead of it is going to take some serious acceleration in what we do," warned WHO emergencies head Dr Mike Ryan. Italy - hit hard by the virus in March - has closed gyms, theatres and swimming pools in a bid to bring down case numbers. The country reported more than 21,200 new infections on Sunday. The Italian government has warned that the rise in cases was putting a huge strain on health services, but Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that a full lockdown would be catastrophic for the economy. What measures has Italy introduced? Restaurants, bars and cafes must stop table service at 18:00 and offer only take-away until midnight. Contact sports are prohibited but shops and most businesses will remain open. The new restrictions, which are in force until 24 November, will also see 75% of classes at Italy's high schools and universities conducted online instead of in a classroom. Regional governments had asked for all classes to be conducted via distance learning, Italian media reported, but the move was opposed by Education Minister Lucia Azzolina. The government is also urging people not to travel outside their home towns or cities unless absolutely necessary and to avoid using public transport if possible. "We think that we will suffer a bit this month but by gritting our teeth with these restrictions, we'll be able to breathe again in December," Mr Conte told a news conference on Sunday. The latest restrictions have triggered demonstrations in cities including Naples, Turin and Rome. What's happening elsewhere in Europe? Gyms and pools have also closed in Belgium, and shops must shut at 20:00. Masks are now compulsory in public spaces. In the UK, people aged 16 to 25 are more than twice as likely as older workers to have lost their job during the pandemic, BBC Panorama has found. Research seen by the programme also suggests the education gap between privileged and disadvantaged young people has widened further. In France, health experts have warned that the number of new Covid-19 cases per day could be about 100,000 - twice the official figure. Prof Jean-Francois Delfraissy, the head of France's scientific council which advises the government on the pandemic, said the estimated figure included undiagnosed and asymptomatic cases. He told RTL radio he was surprised by the "brutality" of the second wave which he expected to be much worse than the first, adding: "Many of our fellow citizens have not yet realised what awaits us." France has already imposed night-time curfews on major cities, including Paris. The country has recorded more than 1.1 million cases in total and 34,780 deaths. The Czech Republic has also introduced a night-time curfew, which came into effect on Tuesday at midnight for a week. Nobody will be allowed to leave the house between 21:00 and 04:59 each night except to travel to and from work, for medical reasons or a few other exceptions. All shops will be shut on Sundays and will shut at 20:00 every other evening. How the Czech Republic's response went wrong And Spain has declared a national state of emergency and imposed a night-time curfew amid a new spike in Covid-19 infections. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said the curfew, which came into force on Sunday night, would be in place between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00. Under the measures, local authorities can also ban travel between regions. Spain has seen more than one million cases and 34,750 deaths. Russia has registered a record 17,347 new daily coronavirus cases, officials said on Monday. Total reported cases have surpassed 1.5 million - but the mayor of the worst-hit city, Moscow, said that while "there is still growth... it is slower".

If the new Taobao listings (via Twitter user Avery78) are to be trusted, Nvidia's budget GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti might be closer than we think. Until proven otherwise, the pre-orders could be mere placeholders, in which case we suggest you approach the information with plenty of caution. One Taobao seller listed the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti for between 1,499 and 2,998 yuan (~$224 and $447). However, another merchant highlighted that the payment does not correspond to the actual price of the graphics card. Instead, it's just a deposit to get dibs on one. Depending on the Ampere-based graphics card's final pricing, the buyer may be refunded or have to pay the difference. In any event, the price range looks at least plausible, considering that the GeForce RTX 3070 is priced at $499. Both the GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 suffered from low stock. The GeForce RTX 3070 was initially scheduled to go on sale on October 15, but Nvidia pushed it to October 29 so that the GeForce RTX 3070 doesn't endure the same fate as the brethren before it. According to the Taobao postings, the estimated time of arrival for the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti is after November, meaning that Nvidia would have to reveal the budget graphics cards sometime during next month. Neither Taobao sellers shared any significant information about the GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Ti, except that the latter could arrive with 8GB of memory. Given that both graphics card would be positioned under the GeForce RTX 3070, we expect them to feature GDDR6 memory. Nvidia equipped the previous-generation GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, so adding another 2GB on GeForce RTX 3060 Ti sounds feasible. If that's the case, then the GeForce RTX 3060 might remain at 6 GB like its antecessor. Believe it or not, the rumor mill for the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti has mostly been inactive. The rumored specifications put the first around 3,840 CUDA cores, while the latter could check in with 4,864 CUDA cores. Nvidia claims that the GeForce RTX 3070 with its 5,888 CUDA cores performs like a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. We've seen a glimpse of the GeForce RTX 3070's potential in Ashes of the Singularity that lends credence to Nvidia's promise. As a result, the GeForce RTX 3060 might offer performance along the lines of a GeForce RTX 2070 Super or RTX 2080, while the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti's performance is probably right up the alley with the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. AMD will reveal the Radeon RX 6000-series of graphics cards on October 28. Nvidia is surely waiting to see what the Radeon team has up its sleeves before making its next move.

One of the biggest players in the web hosting industry may be set for a big-name return sooner than expected. Some more information has come to light regarding Brent Oxley’s next web hosting venture. Oxley made his name as the founder of HostGator, once one of the fastest-growing companies in the US, before selling up in 2012. For a couple of years now, there have been reports that Oxley is planning to re-enter the web hosting space under his ‘Create.com’ domain. Now it appears that those reports are about to come true after it was confirmed that Oxley had signed a new office lease for the company in Houston, Texas – the same city where HostGator is headquartered. We've put together a list of the best website builders around The best web hosting service available today Here are the best free website builders Not much is known about Oxley’s new hosting venture, which is said to be launching soon, with only a simple landing page associated with the brand currently. However, an interview with Oxley from 2018 suggests that he is keen to take some customers away from his old company. Back with a vengeance “A day doesn’t seem to go by without an old customer reaching out to share all the issues they’re having at [HostGator],” Oxley told DomainInvesting.com. “When I was shopping HostGator all interested parties always asked what the secret sauce was and when I told them customer service and uptime they’d hate my answer. The reason is because they all thought they could make millions more by outsourcing to India and that the customers wouldn’t notice. I’ll be coming back with a vengeance and this time I won’t be a sell-out!” Not too long ago, Oxley listed ‘Create.com’ for sale, but the online businessman is clearly now determined to re-enter the web hosting sphere. He also would have made plenty of money from selling other domains. His collection is reportedly worth more than $25 million and contains a number of one-word domains, including broker.com, drone.com and document.com.

The Dragon Ball Z game has added a new mode that's quite unrelated to the main campaign. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is adding something entirely unexpected--a whole new mode where players assemble card decks of famous Dragon Ball Z characters, and then use them for battle. Dragon Ball Card Warriors is completely different from Kakarot's action-heavy gameplay, and it's available October 27 as part of a free update. The new mode will also be playable online, so you can challenge other Dragon Ball fans worldwide in casual or ranked matches, or in monthly tournaments. You can check out the trailer below. To play Dragon Ball Card Warriors, you need to create two decks: a main 25-card deck, and a special deck of five "SP" cards. The regular deck is a mix of character and event cards, with characters forming your offensive force and event cards causing effects on the battle. SP cards can only be activated once certain conditions have been triggered by event cards, but once they're summoned they can turn the tide of battle. The whole system is surprisingly complex, with a lot of elements to track--check out the trailer for all the different mechanics. It doesn't look like there's any single-player component to the game, so don't expect a robust campaign or AI. But the update's free for all Kakarot owners on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, so we can't complain too much. The game's next paid DLC, A New Power Awakens - Part 2, is due before the end of 2020. It will let players take on Golden Frieza and achieve Super Saiyan Blue form.

Intel's Raja Koduri is slated to present a "1000X More Compute for AI by 2025" presentation at Samsung's Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) Forum next week, which comes as Intel mulls its strategy for outsourcing some of its production to third-party fabs. The presentation comes after Raja Koduri tweeted an image of a visit to Samsung's Giheung plant in Korea last year, sparking rumors that Intel would use Samsung to produce components for its Xe graphics solutions. Those rumors seemed spurious in the past, but Intel's recent announcement that it will outsource some chip production, and this week's revelation that the company still hasn't decided just what or where it will outsource, makes Koduri's latest interaction with Samsung's foundry all the more interesting. Intel is certainly at a crossroads. After a decade of dominance fueled by the company's own process tech, the company announced that problems with its 7nm node had forced it to consider outsourcing some components built on leading-edge process tech to third-party foundries, a first for the company. But the company still hasn't developed an outsourcing strategy, as evidenced by Intel CEO Bob Swan's comments in the company's Q3 2020 earnings call. Hence, it's possible we could see the company use either TSMC or Samsung foundries to produce its next-gen flagship chips, or even both. Swan said that even though Intel will now engage third-party foundries as strategic partners, it will continue to develop its own leading-edge nodes and has deployed a "fix" for its own 7nm node (though that fix has led to an untenable delay). For now, Intel's problem is deciding just where it will build its chips that will come to market in 2023. Swan said that Intel hasn't decided which chips it will use external foundries for, but did note that "we feel confident in the ability of us being able to port to TSMC," marking the first time the company has mentioned a specific third-party foundry in the context of using it for leading-edge production. That makes it clear that Intel is already working with TSMC, at least in some form. But there are still plenty of questions to be answered, and that uncertainty is crystal clear in the snippet above from Intel's Q3 earnings deck. Intel says that it is "confident in 2023 product leadership on either Intel 7nm or an external foundry or mix of both." Intel will likely leverage its packaging tech to reduce the number of externally-sourced components required to build a full chip. Swan says that Intel will decide if it will turn to outside foundries as a stop-gap or invest in its own 7nm equipment, and also where and what to outsource, by "really early next year." Even though Intel's chips built with externally-sourced components won't come to market until 2023, long lead times require Intel to make a decision soon so it can allow its future partners to build enough production capacity. But therein lies the problem - any third-party foundry that accepts a contract will likely have to build out significant capacity just for Intel. TSMC is already capacity-constrained and tends to command a premium for leading-edge wafers. Swan also noted that Intel is confident that it can "port back in" from TSMC to Intel's own process tech, meaning the company could move back to its own foundries once it has fixed its own 7nm node. (We imagine those architectures would still require significant re-tuning that wouldn't necessarily classify as a traditional 'port.') The idea of Intel moving back to its own 7nm probably doesn't seem like an attractive possibility to TSMC, which already has plenty of demand for its 7nm tech. It likely isn't interested in short-term or sporadic business – especially given the large upfront investments required. That means Intel will likely have to commit to procuring a significant amount of capacity from TSMC to secure a contract, much like AMD did with its wafer supply agreement (WSA) with GlobalFoundries. Meanwhile, Samsung's wafers are relatively less expensive. The company also currently doesn't have as much demand as TSMC, meaning it could have more available production capacity – or at least be willing to dedicate more capacity to Intel's orders. That leaves plenty of room for Intel to secure at least some of its future chips from Samsung. It certainly doesn't have to be a TSMC "or" Samsung decision: Targeted designs can defray some of the disadvantages of using Samsung's nodes, which are generally less performant than TSMCs, and not all chips have to be on the highest-performance node. Intel could also seek a licensing deal that allows it to build chips based on an external foundries' process, but in its own facilities. GlobalFoundries employed a similar strategy when it licensed Samsung's 14nm process technology back in 2014, and it's possible the company would be open to a similar deal in the future. Conversely, Intel could also approach TSMC with a similar request, so anything remains possible. The one thing we do know for sure is that Intel will announce its decision early next year, and it certainly has several options at its disposal. In fact, that's the beauty of embracing the third-party foundry approach: The ability to source different nodes from different vendors based on each product's specific needs affords plenty of flexibility. If Intel fully embraces the third-party model, we could likely see the company source from both TSMC and GlobalFoundries.
