  1. Of all the RTS/Sim hybrids, Anno 1404 was one of the most enjoyable. It neatly combined the city-building tranquillity of The Settlers with the gunboat diplomacy of Age of Empires to make a deep and absorbing game. Venice is an add-on pack featuring 300 new quests, 60 new items and a series of new scenarios based around Venetian culture. There's also a new island type (Volcano) adding to the trading and tactical possibilities of your old European and Oriental cultures. Visually not a lot has changed – it's still great to look at, with your hoard of animated townspeople going about their business. There's also a new sounds and music, making the city building side of things curiously hypnotic when you've got bigger issues to take care of. Perhaps the biggest change with Venice is the addition of Spies to your diplomatic toolkit. Spies are available once you've built an Operations Base, but once done they can take care of policing your own city or creating mayhem in an opponent's. Depending on the level of the building you occupy you can launch arson attacks, sabotage the water supply, spread disease or sow dissent in the marketplace to (eventually) start a revolt. In Oriental bases you can also send out a belly dancer as a distraction or create false prophets to cause more widespread confusion. Naturally, others can do the same to you but this, and the option to buy Council membership in rival cities offers interesting new ways of expanding control without resorting to naval combat. There's also a decent multiplayer mode which can be played by up to eight people over the internet or local area network in versus or co-op mode. At the time of writing only a handful of people online owned the add-on, making this impossible to test, but it will be interesting to see how the more tranquil pace of Anno survives on competitive online servers. However there are disappointments. Not only is there no single-player Venice campaign (just 15 new scenarios) but you can't even replay the old 1404 campaign using your new units and abilities. For such a notable naval power there's only a disappointing two new trading ships, and keeping track of quests is still as cumbersome as ever, with the all-important Quest log still buried on a sub-menu. So, although Anno: Venice doesn't quite fix all that was broken, luckily there wasn't a lot wrong in the first place. 2. Ask Tom Brady and Matt Ryan what they think about halftime adjustments. Those adjustments, major or minor, are the key to winning any football game – the types of championship-caliber adjustments we hoped for from Madden’s move to the Frostbite Engine in Madden NFL 18 SEE DEAL . The engine has enhanced the graphics dramatically and added an immense amount of detail to the absolutely wonderful Longshot story mode, but EA Sports misses the opportunity to really make its mark by refreshing the gameplay in meaningful ways. While playing a rematch of last season’s Patriots vs. Falcons Super Bowl, it was easy to get distracted by the lighting effects and the improved body types, which, to my eye, have both taken the largest leap of any of Madden 18’s graphical upgrades. While watching a replay I noticed details like how the glimmer of the sun flickered off of a receiver’s helmet, and even while referees are announcing penalties you can see that the glare in their faces is real. The body types brought a second glance from the moment I turned on Madden NFL 18. Players still look a bit stiff and can run into each other while walking around between plays, but each position and body type is well represented, which is more than previous Maddens can say. And while it’s a smaller touch, stadium and uniform detail have really stuck out to me. The pop from the Seahawks’ lime green and the Buccaneers’ orange is a highly appreciated detail. On the more tangible side, the engine switch makes gameplay look more fluid thanks to enhanced movement and interaction animations. My expectations weren’t too high considering FIFA’s first foray with Frostbite encountered speed bumps from using old animations in the new engine, but Madden doesn’t encounter the same problems. The new animations look great and aren’t repetitive, and so do the one-on-one interactions are strong and fluid in every activity I’ve seen (line play, secondary coverage, and tackling). When I picked off Russell Wilson in the red zone, my DB was tripped up by Doug Baldwin, and when I took a closer look at the replay the animation was spot on. (It’s a shame that to truly appreciate the animations you need to watch the replays, but I highly recommend taking the time to do it.) Gang tackling looks smoother as well, but we still see bowling pins and unnatural-looking rag dolls on occasion. The new Target Passing mechanic, which allows you to lead your pass catcher, is a doozy to learn (or maybe I’m just terrible at it) because it moves extremely fast and demands on-point precision. I don’t always complete a pass, but I’m slowly getting the hang of it and how to lead correctly. I don’t think accuracy ratings play into the mechanic, which turns it into a mini-game inside the passing game. I don’t see the point of the mechanic because it doesn’t give me any reason as to why it’s better or a preferred way to be more accurate. Open practice is going to be your friend while learning how to use this, but I’ll stick with traditional button passing. Open practice is going to be your friend while learning how to use this, but I’ll stick with traditional button passing. But in Madden NFL 18, EA Sports has created a theatrical-quality, immersive, emotional, and educational single-player experience that had me glued to my TV for its five-hour run. The Longshot story mode – an adventure that takes you through the life of former blue chip quarterback Devin Wade as he makes his way through high school, college, and the NFL – captured my attention as a student of the game and kept me coming back to find out what happened next. While walking in Wade’s shoes, I encountered a sense of accountability I’d never felt in a sports game before. The script is very well written, and stays interactive with Mass Effect-like decisions and button prompts that will affect your football IQ, draft grade, and social standing. Even something as trivial as choosing to post a semi-crude video to social media can impact your story. I was torn down by my coach for calling the wrong play and brutally hammered by the media when a press conference quickly got out of hand, and for every big or small mistake I made, I felt bad for Wade because of the repercussions. Those choices felt meaningful on my first playthrough, but after playing 50 percent through for a second time to test their impact on the outcome it’s become clear that Longshot’s story is linear with a few alternate scenes and endings. It’s interesting that Longshot doesn’t rely much on Madden’s traditional football gameplay to succeed. Through the first two hours of the campaign, there was nothing more than a few button games and a quick challenge on the field. But once you hit the halfway point the gameplay kicks it up a notch and becomes a focal point as you begin to encounter former NFL stars throughout the mode. After the ending, Madden seamlessly transitions you straight to Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) mode, instantly filing your collectible-card lineup with players, coaches, stadiums, and uniforms from Longshot. There are also 27 solo challenges in MUT that let you live relive key moments from Wade’s past, present, and future. The best challenges are reminiscent of the NCAA Football franchise, as you’re controlling the University of Texas vs. the Oregon Ducks with the NCAA theme song playing in the background. It’s a respectful nod to EA Sports’ historic and highly regarded but dormant college franchise. Plus, there’s an opportunity for EA Sports to release new challenges and cards that relate to Longshot throughout the year, potentially keeping the mode somewhat relevant for longer than launch period. Squad Up I have never been a fan of the grind that comes with the collectible card modes, but this year I was enticed to give Madden Ultimate Team a wholehearted chance with the Longshot elements and the new 3v3 competitive mode, MUT Squads, and was pleasantly surprised. You and two other players team up and fill the Offensive Captain, Defensive Captain, and Head Coach roles. The on-field team is a mix of the three users’ Ultimate Team lineups, opening up some really cool possibilities of creating a star-studded team at random. As a foundation, I love the idea, and I could see Squads catching on with competitive esports teams. In fact, I strongly recommend playing with a premade team you know, because some of the games I played with matchmaking were a much worse experience thanks to a lack of communication and a wide disparity in skill level. But winning as a team is much more fulfilling than winning a one-on-one match. The other notable difference between MUT Squads and standard Madden gameplay is that the standard camera angle here is zoomed out pretty far, giving it a different feel. Controlling the smaller players takes a minute to get used to, but once I got the hang of it I appreciated the wide-open space and seeing my teammates run with me. I used the camera view to break a long touchdown run with Barry Sanders, something I wouldn’t have been able to do as strategically in the default camera angle. Another good tweak this year is the ability to play offline and in Franchise mode with three distinct gameplay styles: Arcade, Simulation, and Competitive. This addresses a long-standing frustration I’ve had with the series, in that I play Madden regularly with a handful of friends and acquaintances who all like to play in different ways. Some like to score as many points as possible and go for it on 4th-and-28. Others will delete my number from their phone if I ever go for it on fourth down early in the game while on my side of the field. It’s all about our own styles. So it’s a relief to see that those styles are now officially supported in Madden NFL 18. Arcade provides tons of scoring, limits penalties, and removes injuries entirely. Plus, the hit stick and fancy ball-carrier moves have an increased chance at succeeding, leading to more of the “Wow!” moments that I crave when playing for bragging rights. During my first game in Arcade mode, I launched an 80-yard bomb to the Titans’ Corey Davis for a quick score, only to be on the receiving end of a similar big play courtesy of Russell Wilson only three plays later. It’s a great mode for beginners and those looking to have a quick and entertaining game of Madden, especially considering the AI tends to be on the forgiving side of things. Simulation, which has always been my preferred style, gives the hardcore “Sim Nation” fanbase what it wants: an authentic NFL experience built upon stick skills and player ratings where penalties and injuries stay consistent. While using Simulation in Franchise, it encourages proper team building and play calling giving you the most realistic Sunday possible. Competitive is the final piece of the Madden puzzle, and one that will hopefully show the acceptance of Madden’s growing eSports community over time. Competitive really started to grow on me while I was in matchmaking (by the way – Madden has the most stable online servers of all the sports games). This mode is heavily weighted on stick skill, which made it that much more fulfilling when pulling out a win online. The improved ball hawk mechanics shine in this play style, as mastering the timing on errant throws can really add to your interception rate. Another new mode, Play Now Live, allows you to follow along the real-life NFL season with in-game challenges to rewrite history, or imagine it before it happens. As an added bonus, the commentary is already updated with chatter of the NFL’s first week of preseason, which gives sophomore commentators Brandon Gaudin and Charles David fresh conversational material (which they sorely needed after a limp debut last year). This week, for instance, I played the preseason matchup between the Rams and Raiders, where the commentary of the big Sammy Watkins trade ruled the conversation. Once the game is completed, you can move right into Franchise mode to play out the rest of the season. Outside of the updated commentary, Play Now Live is lifeless, giving no reason to sit down and play awhile. Finally, it’s a bit disappointing that my favorite mode, Franchise, went almost completely untouched from last year’s version to this one. Tiny tweaks to the presentation were made, including lineup introductions showing full 3D model players rather than headshots. And the soundtrack is one of the better ones in recent years. But other than that, EA Sports’ developers really meant it when they said at E3 that the focus would be entirely on Longshot and the port to Frostbite, and it sucks that I haven’t been given a reason to fire up the new version. Verdict The shift to the Frostbite Engine definitely lets Madden NFL 18 look fantastic, and Longshot makes great use of that to tell a short but powerful against-all-odds story. MUT Squads also opens up a new way to play with more than two players. But beyond that, the underwhelming feel of gameplay improvements and lack of much of anything new within Franchise, Madden NFL 18 sails wide-right in the final seconds. That said, being a much better-looking version of a solid football game with a great new story mode makes it at least a significant improvement, even if it’s more incremental than we’d hoped from a new game engine. Europe got a series of dreadful 3D platformers, the Wii saw some miserable party games, and there was probably some DS shovelware, too. But in 2013, millennial irony began to pick up in po[CENSORED]rity, and so it was that Garfield Kart became the subject of widespread sarcastic, ironic admiration. One glance at the 2013 title's Steam page reveals a "Very Positive" consensus out of over 4,000 reviews. Now, five years later, Garfield Kart: Furious Racing arrives at a time when Jon Arbuckle drinking canine ejaculate is a bonafide classic meme and Garfield has been reborn into a postmodern icon. In a way, it doesn't matter what the establishment says about this game - the people have accepted it as art, and so art it is. But I, a simple critic, have a job to do. And that job entails saying that despite surefire improvements over the last entry, Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is nothing more than a basically serviceable kart racer with clear budgetary restraints, lack of content, and some glaring flaws. Furious Racing joins a long, pedigreed line of mascot kart racers. It stands side by side with classics like South Park Rally, Homie Rollerz, and M&M's Kart Racing. Joking aside, players basically know what to expect here. Cartoon characters get in silly cars and race each other on whimsical tracks, chucking items at each other in a blistering race to the finish. It's the same formula Nintendo shook up in the early 90s, and there's not too much different here. Furious Racing definitely takes more than a few cues from Nintendo's latest kart racer, speaking of which. The focus on constant boosting, drifting, and stunting is hewed very closely from Mario Kart 8, but without that game's lively physics or, y'know, any sort of mechanical soundness. That isn't to say that it's broken, per se, but everything feels just a little off-kilter - like thinking too hard about what Jon did to Lyman. For example, you can do tricks, but the inputs for them are a bit unclear. You can drift, but karts lean into it just a little too much. You can throw projectiles, but they never aim quite the way you want, and some of them are just buck wild with what they can do (such as a magic wand that swaps your place with another racer). There's something unmistakably inspired by its bigger, better competition in here, yet it feels less like a carbon copy and more adjacent to a sketchy 3 AM gas station Xerox. Like a Faygo alternative to a po[CENSORED]r soda, Furious Racing offers a take on the genre that isn't necessarily bad, and a serviceable alternative to the main product, but is absolutely a knock-off and definitively never going to be the mainstream choice. The thing is, that Faygo-tinged kart racer is just about all you'll be getting with this game. You race around sixteen tracks, pick up the optional collectibles, and that's about it. Rinse and repeat. There are different ways to mess around with cars in the garage. There's an online component that works well enough. Oh, and for the DOTA 2 fans out there, you can collect hats for each character! That's... fun? That's one of the main problems with Furious Racing. What's here is fine, but it's not enough. There's no story mode, no bonus modes, no incentive to snag all the collectibles other than the bragging rights of having weird collectible photos of the cast and all the hats. Why would you invest much time in this thing outside of playing all the tracks, then go about your way? I'm not sure, because if someone's in the market for a go-to kart racer, most people aren't going to keep coming back to this one. Even if they're looking outside of Mario, stuff like Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed exists. It's with this lack of variety and length that Furious Racing starts to fall apart. There are better, and at this point, cheaper alternatives that offer the same thing with more to do. But while the rest of Furious Racing could be described, at worst, as unremarkable and flaccid, one part of the game drags the whole package down: the sound design. The bloody, dreadful cacophony of hell noises that is the soundtrack and sound effects. Everything about the audio track of this game almost gave me a headache, and frankly, it was unplayable with a headset. There's so much discordant audio, so many clashing and loud noises, such grating music that it made me physically recoil every time a race got hot and heavy. The audio design isn't just poor - it's an active affront to the senses and a slight against the very concept of sound itself. Ultimately, I muted the thing, cranked up some Luxury Elite, and powered through the rest of this. Weirdly enough? It definitely improved the game. But even replacing the audio and repressing the traumatic memory of ever having heard it can't trick me into thinking Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is anything other than a thoroughly mediocre kart racer. There's not a lot here, and what's here is technically acceptable but unremarkable. Yeah, it's fifteen dollars, and yeah, it's for kids. But fifteen dollars can get you a lot more, and kids are smarter than we give them credit for. So the people may claim Garfield Kart: Furious Racing as art. They'll prop it up as a postmodern masterpiece and turn this time-warped mid-aught's licensed racer into some kind of strange meme. But just like Freddy Got Fingered isn't secretly a brilliant work of anti-humor, this game isn't anything other than a cheap, budget racer that's content to rip off its bigger, better competition while not offering any substantial improvements on them. 5. Copenhagen Kastrup Airport is located just 25 km from the city To visit the Swedish city of Malmö it is best to take a plane to… Denmark. Copenhagen Kastrup Airport is located just 25 km from the city. Malmo is then easily reached by train or car on the Joresund Bridge. Here one quickly begins to feel as if he is traveling to nowhere - the waters of the Joresund Strait, which connects the Baltic and the North Sea, stretch before his eyes. One cannot imagine that he will soon find himself in front of the industrial facilities on the Swedish coast off Malmo, Deutsche Welle (DW) wrote. In the 19th century, Sweden had its heavy industry in the southernmost part of the country, in the province of flax Skåne, as it provided perfect access by water to northern Europe. Thus approaching the Swedish side, the outlines of old shipyards and cranes, as well as former workers' homes, are gradually being found on the horizon. Even contemporary architecture is inspired by industrial architecture - the Emporia shopping center, with its glass-metal facade, is one of the first buildings that visitors see when arriving across the Joresund Bridge. The Stortorget Square, which has existed since the 16th century, can be seen the statue of King Charles X Gustav, who reigned from 1654 to 1660, who conquered different territories of Denmark and annexed them to the Swedish Empire in the mid-17th century. the connection between the past and the present, because the important town hall and district government buildings are also located here. Around the corner is the next place that every tourist should visit: Lilla torg Square. This is the most tempting place in the city - it offers a variety of cafes and restaurants where guests and locals stop in to Feel the lagoon, a Swedish philosophy for perfect balance and enjoyment of life. A local moosehead called Moosehead serves a variety of moose dishes. Eger - the small town worth visiting In fact, this is not typical of local cuisine; in Sweden, deer meat is considered a delicacy. For marinated fish lovers, December is the best time to visit Malmo. Especially for the Christmas holidays in many places in the city there are festive meals with fish delicacies. You can try them at one of the best restaurants in town - Rathauskeller. Over the last 15 years, Malmo's appearance has changed radically with the construction of several unique buildings. One of them is Turning Torso (ie the turning torso), built in 2005 as a residential tower in the northern part of the city. With its 54 floors, the 190-meter, award-winning tower is today the tallest skyscraper on the Scandinavian Peninsula. Malmö's castle would be an interesting destination for those who prefer the transient in architecture. The oldest parts of Malmo Castle date back to the 15th century. Here you can learn a lot about the Danish King Christian III and the Norwegian King Eric Pomeranian, as well as James Hepburn, the third husband of the famous Queen of Scotland, Mary Stuart, who was imprisoned here in the 16th century. For those who want to travel the rest of Scandinavia, Malmö is a convenient starting point - Denmark is only half an hour away, and the Swedish capital Stockholm is about four hours by train
  6. The two space agencies are working together to protect Earth NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) will discuss the progress of their joint AIDA program, which seeks to explore different options for diverting Earth-dangerous asteroids from their trajectory. The project also provides for a real asteroid deflection test in 2021. It is then planned to send the DART spacecraft to one of the two asteroids in the Didymos pair. It will strike the younger asteroid at a speed of about 23 700 km / h, and the purpose of the experiment is to test whether such an impact can divert the asteroid from its trajectory. The DART apparatus is at NASA and this part of the mission will be led by the US Space Agency. ESA will send the small LICIACube satellite to track the impact and analyze it. Then, in 2024, ESA will also send the Hera apparatus to study the impacted asteroid in detail. Detailed measurements of the site will also be made, as will happen in 2026 when Hera reaches the asteroid. The diameter of the smaller asteroid of the Didymos pair is about 160 meters. This is sufficient to cause serious damage if such a body collides with the Earth. However, it is quite small compared to most typical asteroids that can reach a diameter of up to several kilometers. To deflect such a large asteroid will require a much stronger impact. However, the purpose of the scientists is first to check whether such an approach is realistic at all and approximately how much force is required to deflect a smaller asteroid. Of course, in addition to the size, the structure and composition of the asteroid is important, but it is the first test impact that will provide very valuable information to scientists to be able to make more accurate predictions for most different asteroids. Will the only evidence of dark matter be confirmed

The Unreal 4 engine will once again present you with graphic realism and smooth, true movement. Also known as Street Fighter V PS 4, StreetFighterVPS4, Street Fighter V (PS 4) Street Fighter V is a fighting game developed by Capcom and Dimps and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in 2016. The game was initially announced for Linux, but this version was never released. Similar to the previous games in the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter V features a side-scrolling fighting gameplay system. The game also introduces the "V-Gauge", which builds as the player receives attacks and adds three new skills. The game features 16 characters at launch, with four of them being new to the series. A story mode and additional characters were added through updates and downloadable content. According to Capcom, the game was a PlayStation 4 console exclusive as both Sony and Capcom had "the same vision for the growth potential in the fighting game space". The game was powered by Unreal Engine 4, and had a beta test prior to its launch. Upon release, the game received mixed reviews, with critics praising the game's graphics and gameplay, but was criticized for its lack of content and characters, as well as its technical issues such as broken servers at launch and software bugs. Capcom was expecting the game to sell at least 2 million copies by the end of their fiscal year 2016. It missed the sales target, selling only 1.4 million copies as of March 31, 2016; as of September 30, 2019; its accumulated sales got 3.9 million. This makes it the 3rd best selling Street Fighter game on home consoles according to Capcom’s Platinum fiscal report. Its update, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, released on January 16, 2018 and was received more positively with improvements to the user interface and content, in particular its single-player modes. A second update, titled Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, further revises the gameplay and includes all fighters, stages, and costumes released through its fourth season. It is scheduled for released on February 14, 2020. Street Fighter V carries on the 2D fighting gameplay of its predecessors, in which two fighters use a variety of attacks and special abilities to knock out their opponent. The game features the EX gauge introduced in Street Fighter III, which builds as the player lands attacks and can be used to either power up special moves or perform super combos known as Critical Arts, although the Focus Attacks from the previous game have been removed. New to this game is the "V-Gauge", which builds as the player receives attacks and adds three new techniques: V-Skills, V-Reversals, and V-Triggers. V-Skills are special attacks unique to each fighter; for example, Ryu can parry an attack while M. Bison can reflect projectiles, some of which build V-Gauge when successfully performed. V-Reversals allow players to use a section of the V-Gauge to perform a counter move whilst being attacked. Finally, V-Triggers use the entire V-Gauge to allow the player to perform a unique ability, such as a temporary damage boost for Ryu's energy balls or added hits to Chun-Li's attacks. Additionally, the Stun Meter, which has been present since Street Fighter III, is made visible under the health bars in this game. The Stun Meter increases when receiving consecutive attacks and will cause the player to become stunned if filled; thus, it encourages players to play offensively when the opponent's Meter is close to full. The game also features an interactive arena, showcasing special animations when a player is defeated at the edge of the arena. Plot The story takes place between the events of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III. Years after he sacrificed himself to stop M. Bison, Charlie Nash awakens in a tomb and is instructed by a young woman named Helen to retrieve an item from his old friend Guile that will help him destroy Bison. Meanwhile, the Shadaloo organization initiates "Operation C.H.A.I.N.S." by launching seven artificial satellites in orbit known as the "Black Moons", planning to spread fear and despair, the source of Bison's Psycho Power, and siphon this energy in order to render him and his forces invincible. Rashid infiltrates the headquarters of Shadaloo looking for a friend who was kidnapped by them, but is discovered and defeated by F.A.N.G. F.A.N.G. steals a chess piece-like item in Rashid's possession and uses it to detonate one of the Black Moons, triggering a high altitude electromagnetic pulse above New York City. Unsuccessfully attempting to stop Bison and his subordinates in New York, Guile and Chun-Li are attacked by Charlie, who attempts to take the pieces sent to them before fleeing. Charlie reunites with Helen, who also convinces Rashid and Juri to form an alliance with them to retrieve the pieces. She explains they are the keys to control the Black Moons, which were sent to certain individuals in order to prevent their use. In possession of the same information, Karin Kanzuki summons warriors from around the globe to help gather the pieces before Shadaloo as well. All of them answer Karin's call except Ryu, who stays behind at Ken's suggestion to train further in order to keep his Satsui no Hadou at bay. As the warriors travel the world in search for the pieces, they are repeatedly attacked by Shadaloo's minions and Dolls, as well as the ancient Aztec god Necalli, who seeks to devour the strongest fighters' souls. During a fight, Cammy defeats and restrains her sister Decapre. Knowing she was being brainwashed by Shadaloo, Cammy refuses to surrender Decapre to the police and takes her away with Juri's help. Having gathered all remaining pieces and more allies, the warriors storm Shadaloo's base and successfully deactivate the Black Moons, but fail to defeat Bison's troops and are forced to retreat. F.A.N.G. threatens Li-Fen, a young girl among those kidnapped and forced to create the Black Moons. He demands she alter their course and have them fall on Earth instead, striking six main cities around the globe in 24 hours to cause havoc and generate the Psycho Power they need. Ryu returns from his training and defeats Necalli in combat, purging the Satsui no Hadou from himself and forcing the god to permanently retreat. He rejoins his companions in a second attack on the Shadaloo base. Rashid discovers his missing friend was killed by F.A.N.G. long ago, but manages to stop the Black Moons completely using a hint his friend left for him. Charlie confronts Bison and fails to defeat him, but sacrifices himself to drain part of Bison's Psycho Power, weakening him enough for Ryu to destroy him once and for all. Chun-Li takes Li-Fen, and the warriors evacuate the Shadaloo base as it is destroyed. The brainwashed Dolls recover their senses, while Rashid receives a pre-recorded message from his now deceased friend, thanking him for helping to save the world and telling him to move on with his life. Meanwhile, Helen returns to her master, Gill, who declares he shall restore order to the world and asks Helen, revealed to be Kolin, to follow him. There are six paths to choose from, each limited to characters from a different era of Street Fighter, from 1 to 5, with some Street Fighter Alpha mixed in. They’re even decked out in costumes resembling their original looks. Each path has a number of really neat nostalgic touches, from bonus stages involving breaking barrels, to remixes of classic songs, and even incredibly tough secret boss fights if you perform particularly well. Completing a path unlocks a cool piece of artwork that sums up what happened to your character in that game. Since each character has a different piece of art for each path, it’s a great incentive to go through arcade mode with multiple characters. Team Battle mode isn’t as exciting, but it does support play for a crowd by pitting teams of up to five players against each other in a series of one-on-one matches. You can tweak a number of rules, including the amount of health that gets restored to the winning player in the next match, and whether you win by eliminating all opposing players or simply winning a “Best of” series of matches. The rest of the new modes are ongoing services that will start after launch. There’s Extra Battle, which lets you use fight money to buy into a special limited-time challenge where you can earn rewards like experience, fight money, and unique costumes; and Special Challenges that will offer unique titles as rewards. It’s a good idea that could help keep me coming back. V-Trigger II Aside from the new modes, the most exciting additions to the actual fighting of Street Fighter 5 are the new V-Triggers that become usable when your character takes significant damage in a round. V-Triggers have always been a great comeback mechanic, and the new ones allow you to turn a losing fight around in outstanding ways. Ryu’s V-Trigger gives him a super parry that will make any opponent think twice about a predictable jump in attack, lest they want to lose half their life; Cammy’s gives her even more mobility and a absolutely deadly throw attack that can be comboed into a critical art for huge damage; and Zangief’s powers up his signature Screw Piledriver and even allows him to combo into it. Every new V-Trigger dramatically changes how a character is played once their V-Gauge is full, and how you must play against other characters as well. That’s exactly what Street Fighter 5 needed to make the fighting feel fresh again without a complete overhaul. One very important, but perhaps overlooked improvement in Arcade Edition hides in the training mode, which now allows you to view the frame data of each move. It even color-coordinates to let you know when your character is at an advantage or disadvantage after an attack. This is incredibly helpful when learning a new character, or learning how to fight against characters that give you trouble. Verdict Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition marks the completion of a transformation from bare-bones fighting game with a rock-solid core to a fully featured example of the genre at its best. The new V-Triggers are sure to shake up the competitive scene, while the nostalgic new modes breathe new life into the single-player fighting. Street Fighter V was developed by Capcom and Dimps. The game was unofficially revealed through a YouTube video on December 5, 2014, which was promptly taken down. It was officially revealed the next day during the 2014 PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas and was announced as being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game was built using Unreal Engine 4 and features cross-platform gameplay. The image song was chosen by Capcom to be "Survivor" by Man With A Mission. On June 12, 2015, Capcom further clarified that the game will not be released on any other platforms due to a development partnership between Sony Computer Entertainment and themselves. On the partnership, Capcom's Matt Dahlgren said "Part of the reason we partnered up with Sony is, we share the same vision for the growth potential in the fighting game space. I'd say the key aspect is working with us on executing cross platform play, this is going to be the first time we've ever united our community into a centralized player base." Starting that July the game was available to play for a limited time at various Six Flags parks around the United States. On July 23, 2015, Capcom offered a beta program for players on the PS4 in North America that preordered the game and European players that signed up on the PSN website. However, while it was expected to last for five days, the beta suffered from significant server problems and was taken offline early as a result. On August 14, 2015, the beta for the PS4 was put back online for an internal stress test. Following the stress test, the beta was put back online on August 28, 2015. 8. Werewolves Within SEE DEAL takes the po[CENSORED]r party game ‘Werewolf’ (or Mafia) and transforms it into one of the only remarkably welcoming, social VR experiences available. It’s a successful "port" of an already very tactical and thought-provoking game of deception, but being hosted in a virtual world offers unparalleled accessibility. Unfortunately, it also comes with some very inhibiting technical issues that mar it considerably. Werewolf, the social game that Werewolves Within seeks to replicate, is about a werewolf trying to hide their identity amidst a group of villagers, while the villagers try to discern who among them is the monster. Werewolves Within facilitates the social setting you need to play it in, with an interesting variety of fantasy-inspired worlds. Without VR, it usually takes a social event and a willing group of people to play, but being able to opt in online with the PSVR makes it wholly accessible, even for friends or family living miles apart. Jumping in through the Quick Start option either immediately puts you in a virtual lobby with other players, or has you observe other matches while you wait to play - it feels organized, and easy to get into the madness. Each player sits around a circle, and is represented by a unique cartoon avatar. Despite the competitive nature of Werewolf, and the fact that accusing people of lying is the sole mode of progress, I didn’t encounter a single hostile person playing, and I think that’s likely a credit to these virtual avatars. Their expressions react impressively to players’ tone of voice, giving them a visual identity that completely humanized every person I played with. After just an hour of playing with, and getting to know a group of complete strangers, I actually came to imagine that they might look just like the cartoon men and women that represented them. The detail in the avatars’ animation gives life to the setting as well, which plays heavily into VR’s uncanny ability to make you forget you exist outside of the game world. It even takes advantage of VR mechanically, too, by allowing players to talk to the person next to them without anyone else hearing by simply leaning in their direction. There is a small learning curve when it comes to remembering the game’s roles and how they work with, and against each other. They’re randomly allocated at the start of each round, and some feature special abilities - the Tracker, for example, can lean to the right or left to confirm if there is a werewolf on the corresponding side. You are provided a virtual book that contains notes on each of the roles if you forget, but that’s when our first bug appears. If more than one player stands up at the same time (which you can do to silence other players), the book will disappear for a period of time, making it impossible for new players to know the rules without having them explained. That’s tough, because games aren’t very long, and every second you waste explaining the rules makes a significant dent on the progress your group can make. This is compounded by the fact that there’s only one round instead of the usual two in the original Werewolf, which makes figuring out the monster’s identity feel rushed. The villagers have just seven minutes to discuss roles, and who to kill, and then the game ends. It’s not uncommon for the timer to run out during deliberation, either, meaning some players often miss their chance to vote. It’s just a little too fast-paced, and some of the more satisfying logical discussions that the format usually promotes are cut short. That’s doubly frustrating when the PSVR has major mic problems, to the extent that players tend to need to ask people to speak one by one in the lobby just to make sure their mics are working. It’s a really odd bug, because if you leave the lobby and re-join the game the mic will work, but as a result, every single game is slowed down. Of course, a game that depends almost entirely on good audio also has its fair share of issues - background noise from one player or a bad connection from another dramatically affects everyone, because there isn’t a quality filter. Verdict When it works and none of the seven players have any audio or connectivity issues, Werewolves Within is competitive, surprisingly friendly, easy to jump into and even easier to play for hours on end, building up an active repertoire of new online friends as you go. When it doesn’t work, though, it’s inexcusably hard to play, and that’s unfortunately very often. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 Processor: Intel® i5-4590, AMD FX 8350 equivalent or better Memory: 4 GB memory Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970, AMD Radeon ™ R9 290 equivalent or better Storage space: 5 GB available space RECOMMENDED: Requires 64 bit processor and operating system
  9. NBA LIVE 18 is a basketball video game that introduces the mode, THE ONE, a completely new and dynamic experience that puts the player and his career at the center of things. Everything that takes place between the hoops in a basketball game has a certain fluidity to it. Whether it’s James Harden rocketing past defenders in a fast break or LeBron James backing down a defender in the post, this is a game of style. And even though NBA Live 18 SEE DEAL fails to establish a versatile set of modes to sustain interest, it’s able to mimic basketball’s style, fluidity, and intensity. Relative to other NBA games, Live 18’s controls are pretty simplified, and it didn’t take longer than a game or two to get the hang of things. If a player hits the lane at full speed you can expect them to throw down a dunk or layup without more than a button press on your part. If you want to pull up for a three-pointer, the player will do just that, too. This grants a certain feeling of control over their motion, but once they’re in the air, they’ve also got minds of their own. Past that, NBA Live 18 won’t throw many surprises at you. Once you’ve pressed the command to do something, the players execute it. Things get a little more complicated when dribbling, which uses the right analog stick for things like crossovers and spin moves. Even then, the moves don’t take very long to master and provide more of a sense of command over the players. If you’re able to get a handle on the right stick movements, you can eventually turn the dribble moves into fade-away shots, spin-back jumpers or floaters close to the basket. Unfortunately, the lack of animations in NBA Live 18 prevent any kind of real transition game from taking place. Instead of players dealing with the contact and finding a way around it, they’ll stop in their tracks, halting any realistic momentum. It also results in some frustrating tendencies, like players losing the ball at the first sign of contact. There are other issues, too, including players frequently shooting from just inside the three-point line instead of taking a single step back for the extra point, pick-and-rolls being hard to execute, and tip-ins always working without ever missing. NBA Live 18 does a pretty good job of capturing the real-life feeling of some of the NBA’s biggest stars, though. For instance, it’s no problem to pull up in transition or blow past defenders with Russell Westbrook. Similarly, bigs like Andre Drummond can easily bully potential rebounders and create space in the post. And, unlike in NBA Live 16, most of the players actually look like themselves this time. Guys like James Harden especially resemble their real-life counterparts. The presentation is downhill from there, however. The commentary begins to loop after just a handful of games and contains impressively boring back and forth between the analysts and the play-by-play announcer. By the sixth or seventh time Jeff Van Gundy told me about my poor execution I was looking the fastest way to mute him and his colleagues. There is a nice little ESPN graphic that helps track player stats throughout a game, but that’s about all we get in regards to context of the game. The rest of NBA Live 18’s presentation is noticeably barren. Similarly, while NBA Live 18 has a variety of game modes to choose from, there are only a few that are interesting. The best, by far, is The One, a career mode with role-playing elements that puts its focus on your created player and offers a combination of “street” and “league” games. As you track your player’s progress from the end of their college career through the beginning of their professional career in the NBA, you’re met with several options on how to level up his skills, play style, and even the clothing they wear before games. For instance, you can choose between dozens of unlockable skill traits, like extra endurance or a skill bump, in the moments at the end of a game. There’s also loot boxes that can only be purchased with in-game currency (real money option, thankfully) that give out a variety of accessories, including rare sneakers and whacky arm sleeves. Of course, as far as story modes in sports games go, the writing in The One can’t even live up to the most modest of expectations, much less EA’s own Madden NFL 18’s The Longshot campaign. Occasional mini-episodes of ESPN’s First Take provide a nice distraction and some fun storytelling, but even the chemistry between Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman can’t make up for a lackluster plot. All the same, its role-playing elements are surprisingly nuanced, and if there is a game mode that’s worth sticking with, it’s The One. But elsewhere, the modes are largely too shallow to invest much time in. The Franchise mode, for example, is a staple of the genre that allows us to assume a general manager-type role – but here, it’s hardly more than an 82-game season with a few small bonuses along the way. Live 18 lacks the ability to customize players, scout prospects ahead of the NBA Draft, or engage in any kind of complex contract negotiation. To its credit, NBA Live 18 is the first videogame to offer the ability to play as a WNBA team. You can play as any team on the WNBA roster, including the East and West All Star teams. While this mode is very similar mechanically to the NBA counterpart, I did find the court spacing to be a little better. It’s a wonderful addition that is, unfortunately, not used to its full potential. Instead of being able to play a franchise with the likes of the Los Angeles Sparks or New York Liberty or even go head-to-head with someone else online, the only way you can play with WNBA is in “play now,” which limits you to local play only. It’s too bad, as the ability to play as a different set of the world’s best athletes offers a much-needed change of pace. Online play has a few different options (for the men), but again, most are pretty shallow. Instead of custom matches versus friends, you’re forced to play ranked games with predetermined settings. Veterans of EA Sports games will be pleased to hear that Ultimate Team is back and includes many of the same features as po[CENSORED]r games like Madden NFL and FIFA, but at the same time brings nothing new to the table. If nothing else, Ultimate Team will provide a little replayability for a game that doesn’t have much of it. Verdict NBA Live 18’s simplistic and fluid mechanics make for an approachable game of NBA, or WNBA, basketball. But for all that it does well on the court, elsewhere it fails to live up to its potential. There are plenty of side modes, but few have the depth or interesting new ideas to be worth getting invested in. Scent detection for the quadrupeds is their keenest sense, which means the player has to be aware of wind direction or the animal might smell the player's scent and run off. Players must also pay careful attention to the soundscape, listening for subtle signals that indicate the presence of animals in the locality. The core gameplay revolves around tracking and harvesting (killing) animals with the weapons provided, although a digital camera is also provided for those who do not wish to shoot with a gun or a bow. Animal tracks can be found and identified with the "Huntermate", an in-game GPS-like device that identifies tracks, scat, rooting, bedding, blood trails, and animal calls and grunts. To hunt certain species, theHunter requires the player to utilise the correct weapon for each hunt. All bows are considered ethical for all species while rifles, guns and shotguns of different calibre must be selected according to the animal the player will hunt. Players that break this rule will not be given credit for their efforts and will receive a stern email from Doc the warden of all the Evergreen Hunting Reserves. Hunting areas added since May 2011 are: Settler Creeks (rugged North American mountain forest with abandoned homesteads); Redfeather Falls (rough Canadian mountains and swamps); Hirschfelden (German highland farms and forests); Hemmeldal (Northern Swedish snowy mountains, swamps and icy lakes), which is also the first reserve to allow hunting during snowfall; Rougarou Bayou (Southern United States); Val des Bois (rugged mountains, meadows and woods in the Alps), Bushranger's Run (dry, rocky and sandy Australian Outback), Whiterime Ridge (chilly arctic landscape surrounded by high mountains and icefields), and Timbergold Trails (Rocky Mountains-inspired Reserve). 11. The government's goal is to achieve a 25 percent share of e-cars in total sales in 2025. Yesterday (and this morning) was poisoned in the capital. This has been the case in the Chinese capital for a decade, but the measures taken to address this are truly impressive. This is another government move that will replace the subsidies with allowances that car makers have to cover if they want to sell in China. Electric car sales in China continue to decline after state subsidies for e-cars and plug-in hybrids were cut in June. Despite this decline, Beijing continues to push manufacturers to produce much more electrified products than ever before. This message was again sent to the companies a week ago when the Minister of Industry and Information Technology announced his plan to develop the native automotive industry for the period 2021 - 2035. E-Mobility Index: China leading, Germany catching up Battery prices have fallen 87% since 2010. The minister, who regulates the auto industry, expects the share of e-cars to reach 25% of annual passenger car sales in 2025. This is an increase of 5% compared to the previous plan of 2017, which set a target of 20% . Nothing is said for after 2025. The new measure is a huge leap from current levels. In the first ten months of the year, 947,000 electric vehicles were sold in China, equivalent to 4.6% of total deliveries during the period. In 2018, this percentage was 4.5%. In June, Beijing cut its subsidy for e-cars by 60% and plug-in hybrids by 50%, with a plan to end the 2020 subsidy program. The Minister promises to keep the e-car tax abolished, as well as to provide preferential financing and traffic management policies for electrified vehicles. More measures are also being proposed, but the key is that the government will impose quotas for the production of e-cars and plug-ins on companies. Politicians call this an effort to "optimize" the credit program for CO2 emissions. GM and LG Chem build a mega-factory for 30GWh batteries Poland introduces high subsidies for low-cost electric vehicles This program was launched earlier this year. At its core is the rule that passenger car manufacturers must earn one CO2 credit for every 100 cars they produce. According to the program, the plug-in hybrid brings the company 2 fixed credits. The electric car carries between 2 and 5 credits, the number depends on the autonomous mileage (longer mileage - more credits). The program requires manufacturers to earn credits equivalent to 10% of annual production in 2019. This means that if the company produced one million cars this year, it would have to earn 100,000 credits. By the end of 2020, it will already have to earn 12% credits. There are very few Western companies currently able to cover this program. This means that these companies will face serious problems in the years to come. The first is related to the sale of conventional cars, whose growth has stopped and is beginning to decline. Then they will have to figure out how to increase e-car production. All this against the backdrop of the US-China trade war.
  12. The Clean Air Act will be adopted in Denmark The goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 70% Denmark is preparing a new law on clean air, which envisages action in the next 10 years, DarikNews.bg reported. The government will be required to take action to reduce up to 70% of carbon dioxide emissions. Climate neutrality is planned in the next 30 years (carbon dioxide emissions will not exceed the volume that can be absorbed). The objectives are intended to be binding on the present and future governments. Representatives of the parties supporting the law occupy 167 positions in the 179-seat parliament. The law is about to be approved soon.

God of War III - Bigger, Better and Bloody. Gameplay Further information: Common gameplay elements in the God of War series God of War III is an action-adventure game with hack and slash elements. It is a third-person single-player video game. As with previous installments, the player controls the character Kratos from a fixed-camera perspective in combo-based combat, platforming, and puzzle games. The enemies are an assortment of Greek mythological creatures, including centaurs, harpies, chimeras, cyclopes, satyrs, minotaurs, Sirens, cerberuses, and Gorgons. The player must also climb walls and ladders, jump across chasms, and swing on ropes to proceed through the game. The puzzles included vary in difficulty: some puzzles only require objects to be placed in a specific position, while some require timing and precision, such as a puzzle with mechanics similar to Guitar Hero.In addition to finding Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers of the previous games, Minotaur Horns are a new item to be found. Where the eyes and feathers increase the player's health and magic meters, the horns increase the items meter, which allows further use of secondary weapons, called "Items". Combat Screenshot of fight Kratos (left) battles boss character Hercules (right). This is an example of a QTE sequence found in all God of War games; moving the left analog stick as shown by the orange arrow will allow him to continue his attack. Kratos' main weapon is the Blades of Exile, replacing the Blades of Athena used in previous installments and the opening moments of the game. The weapon is a pair of blades attached to chains wrapped around the Kratos' wrists and forearms that can be swung in a number of maneuvers. During the game, Kratos acquires new weapons—the Claws of Hades, the Nemean Cestus, and the Nemesis Whip—with other combat options. The Nemean Cestus, a pair of gauntlets, and the Nemesis Whip, similar to the Blades of Exile, are required to advance in parts of the game; for example, the Nemean Cestus is needed to break through objects composed of onyx.[3] Unlike in previous games, magical abilities are learned with the acquisition of a new weapon, giving each weapon its own magic attack; for example, the Army of Sparta may only be used with the Blades of Exile. Magic gives Kratos a variety of ways to attack and kill enemies, such as the Claws of Hades' Soul Summon ability, which conjures souls to attack enemies. Other magic includes the Nemean Cestus' Nemean Roar and the Nemesis Whip's Nemesis Rage. In addition to four primary weapons, three secondary ones, known as Items, are acquired:[3] the Bow of Apollo, the Head of Helios, and the Boots of Hermes. All three are required to advance in certain stages of the game; for example, the Head of Helios can be used as a lantern in dark areas and to reveal hidden doorways. The relics Poseidon's Trident, the Golden Fleece, and Icarus' Wings acquired in previous games are retained and used to overcome environmental obstacles, with the Golden Fleece used to deflect enemy attacks. Hades' Soul allows Kratos to swim in the River Styx. The Blade of Olympus, a primary weapon in God of War II, is used in this game with the special ability Rage of Sparta for temporary invulnerability and increased attack damage. New additions to the gameplay include the combat grapple, a ranged-grab maneuver which, depending on the weapon, can pull Kratos towards foes or force them away—necessary at certain points in the game, with Kratos riding harpies across chasms—and a simple grab allowing him to use a weak foe as a battering ram. Kratos can now rapidly switch among the four primary weapons in battle, continuing the same attack combination. Other extra features include the addition of ten Godly Possessions, often hidden near defeated foes and providing additional abilities like unlimited magic during bonus play.[4] The challenge mode in this game is called the Challenge of Olympus (seven trials) and is unlocked after the game's completion. This mode requires players to complete a series of specific tasks—for example, killing all enemies without weapons in a limited amount of time. The player may unlock additional rewards, such as bonus costumes for Kratos, behind-the-scenes videos, and concept art of the characters and environments, by completing the game's difficulty levels and challenge mode. A new mode, the Combat Arena, allows players to set difficulty levels and choose opponents to hone playing skills. Characters Main article: Characters of God of War Kratos (voiced by Terrence C. Carson), the protagonist of the game, is a Spartan demigod warrior who became the God of War after killing Ares and seeks revenge on Zeus for his betrayal. Other characters include Greek gods such as Athena (Erin Torpey), the Goddess of Wisdom and Kratos' mentor and ally; Zeus (Corey Burton), King of the Gods and the primary antagonist; Poseidon (Gideon Emery), God of the Sea; Hades (Clancy Brown), God of the Underworld; Hephaestus (Rip Torn), the Smith God; Hermes (Greg Ellis), Messenger of the Gods and the God of Speed and Commerce; Helios (Crispin Freeman), the Sun God; Hera (Adrienne Barbeau), Queen of the Gods who controls plant life; and Aphrodite (April Stewart), Goddess of Love and Sexuality. Several Titans are featured, including Gaia (Susan Blakeslee), Cronos (George Ball), Epimetheus, Oceanus, and Perses. Other characters include Hercules (Kevin Sorbo), a demigod and Kratos' half-brother; the architect Daedalus (Malcolm McDowell), Icarus's father; and Pandora (Natalie Lander), Hephaestus's artificial daughter. Minor characters include the three Judges of the Underworld: King Minos (Mark Moseley), King Rhadamanthus, and King Aeacus; Peirithous (Simon Templeman), an Underworld prisoner in love with Persephone, and Kratos' wife and daughter: Lysandra (Gwendoline Yeo) and Calliope (Debi Derryberry), who appear in a plot sequence in which Kratos journeys through his own psyche. Kratos, Gaia, and the other Titans ascend Mount Olympus to destroy the Olympian gods. Poseidon launches an assault against the Titans, but is killed by Kratos and Gaia; his death causes the oceans to flood Greece. Reaching the peak of Olympus, they try to attack Zeus, but he drives them back and knocks them off the mountain. Gaia clings to the mountainside and refuses to save Kratos, calling him nothing more than a pawn for the Titans' revenge. Kratos falls into the River Styx, where he loses the Blade of Olympus; the souls of the Underworld weaken him and ruin the Blades of Athena. Climbing from the river, he is confronted by Athena's spirit, who had previously sacrificed herself to save Zeus from Kratos. She tells Kratos that her sacrifice has brought her to a higher existence, and she now sees truths she did not see before. She states that as long as Zeus reigns, there is no hope for mankind. She gives him the Blades of Exile and says that he must extinguish the Flame of Olympus to kill Zeus. After finding the three Judges of the Underworld and the Chain of Balance, Kratos encounters the spirit of Pandora, whom he briefly mistakes for his dead daughter, Calliope. Refusing to help the child, he continues his quest. After encountering the Olympian blacksmith Hephaestus and recovering the Blade of Olympus, he kills Hades and releases the souls of the Underworld. He considers searching for Calliope's soul, but Athena reminds Kratos of his quest, and he leaves the Underworld, arriving at Olympia, where he finds the wounded Gaia, who calls for help. He severs her arm, causing her to fall from Mount Olympus to her apparent death. Kratos (bottom left) battles enemies on Cronos' arm. The image also depicts the size of the Titans featured in the game. Kratos continues his ascent, murdering powerful foes that include the Titan Perses and the god Helios; Helios' death plunges Greece into eternal darkness. This leads to an encounter with Hermes, who mocks Kratos for his past sins. Kratos chases Hermes as he arrives at the Chamber of the Flame. Kratos discovers that Pandora's Box is in the Flame of Olympus and is key to the success of his quest. Athena appears, telling Kratos that the flames around the box can only be quelled by Pandora herself. Kratos then continues after the overconfident Hermes, whom he catches and kills, releasing a plague on Greece. At the Forum, he has an audience with the drunken Hera, who ignores his request for Pandora's location and summons Hercules. After discussing his jealousy of his half-brother, Hercules attacks Kratos, but is killed. Kratos then encounters Aphrodite, who is indifferent to his war on Olympus. She leads him to her estranged husband Hephaestus through Hyperion's Gate, a teleportation device. In a suicide mission, the blacksmith sends Kratos to Tartarus to retrieve the Omphalos Stone so he can forge a new weapon for the Spartan. Kratos finds Cronos, kills the Titan for the stone, and returns to Hephaestus. After forging the weapon, the god tries to kill Kratos himself. Instead, the Spartan kills Hephaestus, who claims that he was trying to protect his daughter Pandora, who was imprisoned in the Labyrinth after Kratos opened her box.[N 3] Reusing the Hyperion Gate, Kratos travels through Hera's Gardens where he kills Hera, ending all Greek plant life, and makes his way to the Labyrinth to find Pandora. The imprisoned architect Daedalus tells Kratos to unite the Labyrinth. Completing this task, Kratos fights his way through the aerial puzzle and rescues Pandora, who tells him to break the Chain of Balance so the Labyrinth can be raised, and she can reach her box. Neutralizing the three judges and breaking the chain, Kratos raises the Labyrinth, and Pandora tries to enter the Flame of Olympus. Zeus intervenes and fights Kratos; after a brief battle, Pandora sacrifices herself and quenches the flame, despite Kratos' protests. Finding Pandora's Box empty, Kratos attacks Zeus after Zeus mocks Kratos for his many failures. Gaia, who had survived her apparent demise, returns and tries to kill them, but they escape through her gaping chest wound and continue their battle. Gaia is killed when Kratos impales Zeus against her heart with the Blade of Olympus, which apparently also kills Zeus. When Kratos recovers the blade and tries to leave, he is attacked by Zeus' spirit and loses all of his weapons and powers in the process. Before Zeus can land a fatal blow, Kratos is saved by Pandora during a journey into his psyche. With help from the spirits of his wife Lysandra and his daughter Calliope, Kratos forgives himself for his past sins. After discovering hope, he regains consciousness and uses the Blades of Exile to force Zeus' spirit back into his body. Kratos then discards the blades and beats Zeus to death with his bare hands, ending the reign of the Olympian Gods. As the chains fall off his arms, Athena reappears, demanding that Kratos return what she thinks he took from Pandora's Box. She refuses to believe the box was empty, explaining that when Zeus sealed the evils of the world in the box, she placed the power of hope in it, foreseeing that it would eventually be opened. Athena realizes that when Kratos opened the box to defeat Ares, the evils escaped and infected the gods while Kratos was imbued with hope, but it had been hidden by his inner guilt. She tells Kratos to return her power, saying that she knows how to use it to rebuild what had been destroyed. Distrusting Athena and tired of being used as a pawn, Kratos refuses; saying his vengeance has ended, he impales himself with the Blade of Olympus and releases hope for mankind to use. An angry Athena pulls the sword from him, saying that he has disappointed her. Near death, Kratos collapses, laughing weakly as Athena leaves empty-handed. In a post-credits scene, a trail of blood leads away from the abandoned Blade of Olympus, with Kratos' whereabouts unknown ALL CHARACTERISTICS Gaming Categories Games for computers and consoles PS4 Games Sony Publishers PEGI description Vulgar language, Violence, Sex PEGI rating 18+ Resolution 1080i, 1080p, 720p Action Adventure Genre Dolby Digital audio Release year 2015 Release Month July Number of players 1 Metacritic rating ‌81 DualShock 4 controller Developer Sony Santa Monica PS4 platform Edition Standard Language: English

  19. The range expands with Active X Vignale, and next year comes a hybrid modification. The crossover boom pushes Ford Focus outside the US, where the company strips most of its passenger cars off the assembly lines. In Europe, customers also rely on crossovers, but the situation is different here. This is proven by the latest statistics on the continent's 20 key markets, where Ford Focus has a record since 2015, generating 194,700 sales by the end of October. That is, Ford sold one Focus every 135 seconds. The fourth generation of the model increased its share in the compact segment by 1.8% compared to the same period last year. The fourth generation of the model was launched in June 2018, with more than 250,000 sales on the Old Continent so far. With this, Focus's total sales in Europe over the years (1998 to the present) exceed 7 million. Ford Focus ST: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (test drive) One of the reasons for this strong performance is the wide model family and many levels of equipment. Unlike the previous generation, the new is also available as a raised Active van and hatchback. Now comes the new Active X Vignale modification. It steps on 17-inch wheels, has black side mirror boxes and a roof that contrast with the color of the body. The list of equipment includes everything from LED headlights and leather upholstery to head-up displays and Active Park Assist. In 2020, Ford will continue to develop the model family with the launch of a soft hybrid version. We will probably have a 1.0-liter EcoBoost with three cylinders and an electric motor with a total output of around 150 hp. This version will be one of the 14 electrified models the company will launch in Europe by the end of 2020, including eight this year.
  20. For scientists and people who will contribute to the economy, people who have a job offer and people who come for short-term work British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that he will introduce three types of work visas when he wins the upcoming elections in December. The first category of "exceptional talent" visas will be issued to scientists, geniuses from start-ups and people who will contribute to the growth of the UK economy. Such visas will be issued to prima ballerinas and first violinists, Johnson explains in an interview with the Sunday Times. Such people will not be required to have a job offer in the country, and their visas will be issued promptly. The second category includes skilled workers who must have a job offer in the UK. The third type of visa is for people who come to the country "on an adult basis" for short-term work that does not require qualification. Such, for example, are seasonal workers in agriculture. This category of citizens will not be able to obtain a right of permanent residence. Scandal, Soros pays, pushes Johnson and stops Brexit Johnson explains that the system will be organized in an Australian fashion and will allow regaining control of British borders after leaving the European Union. Following the innovation, Britain will remain "open to the world", despite the expected reduction in the number of migrants arriving in the country. Migrant workers from the EU and other countries will have a level playing field. These changes are intended to extend the powers of the Migration Committee. Farage to Johnson: Give up the Brexit deal The early elections triggered by the political crisis over Brexit will take place on December 12th. Conservatives aim for Brexit on December 31, with the Liberal Democrats announcing continued EU membership. Labor promises a new referendum.
  21. Things we will see everywhere in the coming season Winter is already knocking on the door and it is time to look at the trends that will dominate the coming season. This is helped by Natali's Beauty vlogger Natali's Beauty, who has taken care of informing us of every detail. Let's begin! The clothes This year we looked at neon shades and now it's time for something different. In the winter of 2019 we will enjoy cyclamen in all its glory - in skirts, dresses, sweaters and coats. In 2019, the bodysuit blouses have replaced the t-shirts, and this trend continues in the winter, which is great, because surely our cross will not suffer and will always be warm. And the waist is emphasized in a perfect way. The accessories This winter coarse chain necklaces will be a tribute. In yellow or silver - depends on the individual taste. The combination with knit sweaters and elegant wool dresses is interesting. Personalized fibers replace those with pearls. Names, messages and catchy phrases will adorn our hair. Tiaras are the queen of accessories this season - in all colors and fabrics. The important thing is that they are voluminous and visible from afar. Makeup and hairstyles In winter, the red colors strike back on the lips. They are in the cold range and dominate the vision. Of course we will also see smoky makeup, mostly in the evening, in cool shades and dull shadows. As for hair - red and red shades will contrast across the streets. The blond tones are becoming more platinum and cold. And when we are not hiding our hair under warm hats, we can tie them to low ponytails with a minimal amount of roots.

Like its predecessor, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II bills itself as a "gothic-noir adventure." While there are too many pop culture references and too much comedic relief for the "noir" part of that label to stick, the general tone is one of grim expressionism, bolstered by some finely constructed action sequences. In fact, beyond its ham-fisted exposition and painfully slow start, there's little to hold the experience back from being one of the better action role-playing games in quite some time. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II is absolutely massive and packed with secrets and details that are easy to miss the first time around. You wouldn't know that from the first few hours of play, though. Van Helsing is remarkable in that it has one of the most annoyingly intrusive introductions in recent memory, yet explains almost none of the subtlety this game has to offer. Van Helsing II opens in medias res, but what seems like a potentially exciting start comes off as cluttered and ultimately confusing. The game picks up right after the conclusion of the last game, and you play as the son of the infamous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing. After felling the mad scientist that had terrorized the fictitious, industrial-era city of Borgova, you take over a resistance movement against the corrupt government. Your initial motivations aren't made clear, and the entire opening sequence is dominated by cutscenes that have weirdly nauseating cameras that wobble around while the main characters discuss detailed military strategy. It's all a bit overwhelming, which is particularly unfortunate given how great the game becomes. A few hours in, you have access to your secret lair, a subterranean hideout that serves as your base of operations for the rest of your adventure. From there, you can marshal troops, craft new equipment, and generally help guide the resistance movement. Again, why exactly the movement is necessary is never made clear. You never see the real effects of the allegedly corrupt government, and there's no reason to empathize with the po[CENSORED]ce. That said, all of these pieces come together remarkably well, combining the straight action RPG trappings of the first Van Helsing with added gameplay modes. From here, Van Helsing II is loosely organized into a few discrete chapters. For each one, you have a primary objective that supports the resistance movement's plan to take the city of Borgova. These are tied directly to the game's gothic horror inspirations and help build up the intensely supernatural world. Without a gripping narrative to serve as the foundation for this adventure, the creatures and environments are left to carry the experience. Thankfully, the art direction is just as substantial as before, and is largely supported by these quests to unlock power held by long-dead beings. The main quests provide plenty of excuses to venture into the wilderness outside the city and play in a variety of striking locales. Each of these places is also home to a variety of Easter eggs, which help each environment feel dense and po[CENSORED]ted. Upon the conclusion of each chapter, you're shown a few stats detailing your time spent, the percentage of the secrets you managed to unearth, and how well you did overall. Once you've seen the "chapter complete" screen, however, the preceding areas are lost to you for the rest of the game, encouraging you to be thorough in your search. You don't have to deal with the big things immediately if you don't want to, though. Like before, there are plenty of supplementary quests for those looking for a break from the core game. The tower-defense minigame makes a return, with robust tools for managing waves and waves of baddies. You can also hire soldiers, upgrade their equipment, and build up a small army to run consistent raids for you. They can bring back valuable items and tons of extra cash, which you can reinvest in your war effort, or yourself. Various non-player characters also offer additional one-off quests that help further build out this surprisingly rich world, and yield some great loot for you and your companions. Finally, you also have some shops and crafting tools to help you get the best gear and tools for combat versus the weird, surreal, and undead monsters that roam the wilds outside of Borgova. That's great, because as you might expect from Van Helsing's action RPG scaffolding, combat is what this game does best. Combat has improved dramatically since the last entry in the series, and that's primarily because of two small but vital changes. The first is that the two classes originally released as downloadable content for the first game are now packed in. From the beginning, you have three distinct archetypes, each with a dramatically different play style. The default hunter class is a melee-ranged fusion that harks back to Bram Stoker's original descriptions of the literary vampire hunter. The other two are a bit odd thematically because they represent two of the main types of enemies that you fight against: unholy magic users and engineers warped by "weird science." Even so, they add a lot of variety and are distinct enough to warrant spending at least a little time with each. For my main run, I used an arcane mechanic. The class focuses on deploying robots, mines, turrets, grenades, and other corrupted machinery to dominate the battlefield. That's actually where I felt the second change to combat most: two additional skill slots. In the first Van Helsing, you played as a hunter that balanced ranged and close-combat weaponry using six main abilities. There was a clean duality to it that's retained for those who choose to take up being a hunter once again. I, however, found it much more exciting to constantly manage mines and robotic spiders to assist me in combat. I didn't invest much into boosting my health or defense, instead focusing on maximizing my attack-power-by-proxy. It added a bit of tension as well, knowing that if my machines started to fall, I'd need to rapidly get them back into action or face death. The extra skill slots made managing the chaos of battle more challenging but also more rewarding without teetering into the unnecessarily convoluted. Van Helsing is coarsely granular. Some of its pieces don't work as well as they should, but much of that falls by the wayside when you're in the thick of things. It is stellar in spite of a few big missteps and the fact that, with the exception of the world itself, none of the experience feels cohesive. Between combat segments, Van Helsing and his ghostly companion, Lady Katarina, exchange snarky quips about pop culture and casual digs at one another. It's nice for characterization, but it's also anachronistic and fails to fit into the rest of the game. That's fine, though, because Van Helsing never takes itself too seriously. It's all part of the ride. Assassin's Creed Unity is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released in November 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the eighth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and the successor to 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It also has ties to Assassin's Creed Rogue which was released for the previous generation consoles, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on the same date. The plot is set in a fictional history of real world events and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control. The story is set in Paris during the French Revolution; the single-player story follows Arno Victor Dorian in his efforts to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. The game retains the series' third-person open world exploration as well as introducing a revamped combat, parkour and stealth system. The game also introduces cooperative multiplayer to the Assassin's Creed series, letting up to four players engage in narrative-driven missions and explore the open world map. Assassin's Creed Unity received mixed reviews upon its release. Praise was directed towards its visuals, improved gameplay, customization options, multiplayer-oriented format, mission design, setting, characterization, and narrative. However, the game was criticized for a lack of gameplay-innovation, unrefined controls, and numerous graphical issues and bugs upon release. Because of the game's poor launch owing to the technical issues, Ubisoft issued an apology, and offered compensation. Gameplay Assassin's Creed Unity is an action-adventure stealth game set in an open world environment. The game was meant to be rebuilt, with fencing being used as an inspiration for the new system. In addition to returning weapons from previous games, Assassin's Creed Unity introduces the Phantom Blade. The Phantom Blade uses the mechanics of a crossbow to fire a silent projectile at a great distance, while still serving the same role as the Hidden Blade in previous Assassin's Creed games. Navigation for the game was also overhauled: new "Free-run up" and "Free-run down" commands were added to make it easier for the player to scale buildings in either direction. Additionally, Arno learns new moves throughout the game, but the player can also purchase new skills as well. With the updated, larger crowds, new interactions with them are also available. The crowd regularly presents many activities, appearing organically, that the player can then choose to engage in at their leisure. Examples include scaring a group of bullies by pulling out a weapon, "settling" a disagreement between two civilians by killing one of them, which is usually a Templar, or chasing down a thief who has just pick pocketed somebody. For the first time, the series allows players to customize the characters' abilities, adopting a skill tree that enables players to assign points earned through gameplay to improve their skills in stealth, melee, and ranged combat, and health.[6] Players are also able to customise their weapons, armour and equipment to further complement their individual style of play.Players also have a wider selection of weapons available, including swords, axes, spears, rifles, pistols and throwable items, such as smoke bombs. The expansion DLC, Assassin's Creed Dead Kings, adds the formidable guillotine gun. Assassin's Creed Unity also introduces cooperative multiplayer to the series. Players can enter taverns, which act as social hubs in the game, where you can see if any friends are playing the game at the current time. If they are currently in a mission, they will appear as a "ghost" version of their player, allowing you to approach it to request to join their mission. If accepted, you are transitioned to their game and both of you reset to the most recent checkpoint, and continue on from there. Up to four players can join together in this fashion. The player will take on the role of Arno, customized within their own game, with other players appearing as their own customized version of Arno in their own sets of equipment, weapons, and armor. Many missions and activities will be available for cooperative play (which the player can also complete on their own), but there are some story missions that are single player only. There are significant tie-ins with the Assassins Creed Unity Companion App, a "freemium" click app with limited "direct ties to the overall story of Unity". There are a significant number of chests, assassination targets, and other collectibles that are visible to all players but only accessible to those who have completed certain goals within the app. Following an update in February 2015, this requirement is no longer necessary, meaning players who have downloaded the update, can now collect all the chests in the game without having to play the companion app. Characters Main article: List of Assassin's Creed characters The main character of the game is Arno Dorian (Dan Jeannotte),a native Frenchman who was born in Versailles to an Assassin father. After his father is killed by Shay Patrick Cormac at the end of Assassin's Creed Rogue, Arno is adopted, unaware that his new family holds a senior position within the Templar Order, with his new father figure being the Templar Grandmaster. Arno blames himself when his adoptive father is murdered, and so sets out on a quest of redemption that brings him into the Brotherhood of Assassins, where he slowly rises through the ranks, much like Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze as seen in previous games. Arno's love interest is a Templar named Elise De LaSerre (Catherine Bérubé),the daughter of the Templar Grandmaster who adopted Arno, who also sets out to investigate more about her father's death and its role in a growing ideological change within the Templar Order that threatens its core values. Additional characters include Marquis de Sade (Alex Ivanovici), Napoleon Bonaparte (Brent Skagford) and Maximilien Robespierre (Bruce Dinsmore). Setting Arno's story starts in Versailles as a child, but for most of the story he is in Paris. His adventure in Paris starts on the eve of the French Revolution in 1789, and extends up to the Thermidorian Reaction in 1794.The modern day setting focuses on the Assassins contacting the player and requesting their help to explore Arno in the past, as well as helping in the present.Co-operative multiplayer missions follow the development of the Brotherhood of Assassins during the French Revolution. In addition, "time anomalies" are introduced during the story. Accessing them takes Arno to various points of Parisian history, such as Paris' Belle Époque, or its occupation by Nazi Germany during World War II. Plot The "Initiate" is a player of Helix, a gaming device produced by Abstergo that allows access to many different genetic memories. The story begins with the player playing through a memory of the sacking of the Paris Temple, and the capture of Templar Grand Master Jacques de Molay, in 1307. During the sack, de Molay entrusts another Templar with a sword and a book, which the Templar hides within a French crypt shortly before being killed by an Assassin. The memory then fast forwards to de Molay's death at the stake, and his curse towards King Phillip IV and Pope Clement V. At this point, Bishop from the modern day Assassin Brotherhood hijacks the memory sequence and implores the player to join them as an initiate. Bishop provides an internal Abstergo video memo, in which Abstergo describes the capture of a Sage who contains precursor DNA (which is in a triple–rather than a double–helix). Abstergo goes into detail regarding the Phoenix Project, whereby Abstergo hopes to use the Sage to compile a whole precursor genome for unclear purposes. Bishop provides access to another memory segment and directs the new initiate to locate another Sage, whose corpse they hope to recover. The memory then segues to Versailles in 1776, as Arno Dorian, a French nobleman's son, meets Elise De La Serre, daughter of the Templar Grand Master. After his father is murdered at the palace, Arno is taken in by Grand Master De La Serre; while the Grand Master knows Arno's father was an Assassin, Arno is oblivious. The story then skips forward 13 years, to Elise's initiation into the Templar order in 1789. Arno is given a message to deliver to De La Serre, but puts it in his office in order to sneak into the party to meet with Elise. After meeting her, Arno sneaks out, and finds De La Serre murdered in a courtyard. Arno, mistaken to be De La Serre's killer, is captured by the gendarmerie and imprisoned in the Bastille. There, he finds apocalyptic writings on the wall and impresses a fellow prisoner, the Assassin Pierre Bellec, with his fighting skills. Bellec invites Arno into the Brotherhood when they escape during the Storming of the Bastille. Arno returns home first and is turned away by Elise, who reveals that the message Arno was supposed to deliver to her father was a warning of his impending murder, and reveals herself as a Templar. Arno joins the Brotherhood and begs for the opportunity to find and eliminate the other Templars involved in De La Serre's death to redeem himself, including Le Roi des Thunes ("The King of Beggars"). He is granted his request by the Assassin Mentor Mirabeau, who was attempting to broker peace between the Orders with De La Serre. During the course of his investigation, Arno rescues François-Thomas Germain, a silversmith being held hostage by the Templar Grand Master Lafreniere. After killing Lafreniere, who was actually the one trying to warn De La Serre, Arno runs into Elise and realizes that Germain is the Sage, as well as the one who ordered De La Serre's murder. The Brotherhood Council begins to question Arno's loyalty as he acts rashly in his pursuit of De La Serre's killer. Realizing that Germain's plot is intended to spark a mass revolt against the King of France, Arno assassinates two more central figures, an officer organizing a prisoner revolt (Captain Frederic Rouille) and another who was hoarding food (merchant Marie Levesque) to create the impression that the nobility was squandering resources as France starved. Arno also crosses paths with Napoleon Bonaparte, an artillery officer, while searching the Tuileries Palace for letters from Mirabeau to King Louis, which the Templars could use as an excuse to purge the Assassins' agents across France. Bonaparte later helped him in taking down Captain Rouille, who served under his command during the September Massacres of September 1792. During this time, Arno saves Elise and convinces her to parley with the Brotherhood, as she confesses her own faction of the Templars are being killed by a schism led by the Sage. Mirabeau agrees, hoping to gain a massive favor from the potential future Grand Master of the Templars, and is murdered by Bellec, who intends to purge the Assassin leadership for beginning to agree with Templar beliefs. Refusing to join him, Arno kills Bellec, and escapes from the food riots and the assassination of Levesque shortly thereafter with Elise in a hot air balloon, after which Arno confesses to Elise that he still loves her. With the Revolution in full swing, Arno tracks Germain to the execution of King Louis XVI, but chooses to stay and protect Elise rather than pursue him. Elise rejects him for the decision, and Arno is exiled from the Brotherhood for ignoring orders to pursue his personal vendetta, causing him to fall into a drunken depression. Arno languishes for several months before he is found in Versailles by Elise who convinces him to return as Paris is tearing itself apart during the Reign of Terror. Arno returns to Paris and, with Elise's help, discredits the reputation of Maximilien de Robespierre, whom Germain, now Grand Master of the Templars, had placed in charge of maintaining chaos during the Revolution. After Arno and Elise find Robespierre, who had locked himself in his office in an attempt to avoid arrest, Elise shoots Robespierre in the jaw and makes him write down the location of Germain. Arno confronts Germain at the top of the Temple, only to find he now has the Sword of Eden. The fight eventually ends in the same Templar crypt in which the game began, where Arno strikes Germain only to have the Sword blow him backwards and trap him under rubble. Elise first attempts to help Arno out of the rubble then goes ahead to take on Germain by herself, but as Arno gets the rubble off of him and runs to protect Elise the Sword explodes, killing Elise and mortally wounding Germain. Arno then kills Germain, who in his memories confirms he is the Sage and that he wanted to purge the Templar Order of all who had forgotten the teachings of de Molay. The game closes with Arno explaining how his understanding of the Creed has changed, and promising to watch over Paris and keep Elise's memory alive. Years later, Arno, having become a Master Assassin, recovers Germain's skeleton from the Temple and places it in the Catacombs of Paris, much to the relief of Bishop, who is now confident that Abstergo will not be able to find it. Dead Kings One week after Germain's death, Arno, still feeling devastated over Elise's death, finds refuge in Saint-Denis (at the time, known as Franciade). He is contacted by the Marquis de Sade at a tavern, who requests his help in finding the manuscript of Nicolas de Condorcet, hidden in the tomb of Louis IX beneath the city, in exchange for a ship that would take Arno to Egypt. During his search, Arno encounters a group of tomb raiders, led by Captain Philippe Rose, a subordinate of Napoleon Bonaparte, who wishes to retrieve the artifact located within a Precursor temple, buried under the city's church. He also finds that the manuscript has been stolen by a child thief, Léon, who was captured by the raiders. Arno rescues Léon and retrieves the manuscript, but declines to help him stop the raiders. His resolve softens after an encounter with a vision of Elise, as well as hearing Léon's pleas. After discovering the location of the temple, and retrieving the key from one of Napoleon's officers, Arno finally manages to open the door to the temple. He is then ambushed by Rose, who attempts to take the artifact for himself. Arno survives the ambush, and makes it to the artifact before Rose and his men. After killing Rose, Arno retrieves the artifact, a head-shaped lantern containing a spherical Piece of Eden, and uses it to repel the raiders and escape the temple. He later meets de Sade at the tavern and delivers the manuscript as promised. Finally, Arno decides to stay in France, and contacts the Brotherhood to deliver the Piece of Eden to Egypt, far away from the reach of Bonaparte, who is arrested for desertion and treason. Development Development for the game began shortly after the completion of 2010's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, with the core development team splitting off during the early stages of development on Assassin's Creed III.[20] On March 19, 2014, early screenshots of the game were leaked, as well as its title Unity. The leak revealed that Unity would feature a new location and time period, Paris during the French Revolution, a new assassin, and that it would be released in late 2014 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On March 21, Ubisoft confirmed the game's existence, having been in development for more than three years, by releasing pre-alpha game footage. They also confirmed the game's release date of Q4 2014, and that it would also see a release on Windows. Ubisoft writer Jeffrey Yohalem revealed that the French Revolution setting for the game was deliberately teased, along with Assassin's Creed III's American Revolution setting, in symbols seen at the end of Brotherhood. Ubisoft Montreal is the lead developer for the project, with contributing work from the Ubisoft studios in Toronto, Kiev, Singapore, Shanghai, Annecy, Montpellier, Bucharest, Quebec, and Chengdu. At E3 2014, trailers were released for the game, demonstrating the game's cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players, a first for the series. The trailer featured Lorde's cover of Everybody Wants to Rule the World, which was produced by Michael A. Levine and Lucas Cantor. The development team was able to use the new power of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to improve the NPC crowds. Up to 1000 individual AI characters can appear in a crowd, each acting independently and reacting to each other as well as the player's actions. The PC version of the game uses Nvidia's GameWorks technology such as TXAA anti-aliasing, advanced DX11 tessellation and Nvidia PhysX technology, due to a partnership between Ubisoft and Nvidia. Lead game designer Benjamin Plich has said this game will be more difficult than previous entries thanks to the removal of the counter button and more aggressive guards. Plich also said that the game will feature synchronized Double Assassinations. In August 2014, Assassin's Creed Rogue was announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was revealed to have ties to the story in Unity. The game is written in a combination of C++ and C#, totaling an estimated 15.5 million lines of code of the former, and five million of the latter. Historical consulting On October 6, 2014, Ubisoft announced that they had enlisted the help of academic historians such as Laurent Turcot, professor at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières for daily life of 18th-century Paris and Jean Clement Martin professor at the Sorbonne, to revise the script. Like other games in the series, Unity features a large number of real world landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Statue of Liberty. Notre-Dame Cathedral was modeled down to the brick, a process that took Ubisoft artist Caroline Miousse two years to complete.Because of the detail that went into the recreation of the Notre-Dame Cathedral for the game, some believe the game may help in the reconstruction of the Cathedral following the April 2019 fire that destroyed some of the building. Ubisoft donated €500,000 to the reconstruction of the cathedral and also provided Unity as a free download for the week following the event so as to give everyone a chance to explore the cathedral as they had modeled it in game.
