This Wednesday during a regular session, the president of the plenipotentiary organ, Diosdado Cabello, said that the raid of the immunity of the opposition leaders is "totally and absolutely approved unanimously and democratic political conviction."
He also warned that the trials must continue because "these are the first two that are indicated by the investigation," however, he added that anyone involved will have the full weight of the law for his action.
At the beginning of the session, Cabello read a document from the Full Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) that declared the prosecution of Requesens appropriate, after determining that there are sufficient elements of conviction to estimate the commission of crimes of a permanent nature.
For its part, the second vice president of the ANC, Elvis Amoroso, backed the action of the TSJ.
Amoroso said that the National Government is governed by the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela, which allows under any circumstance the democratic and electoral solution, without the need to involve violence.
