  4. Whereas much of the early discourse surrounding Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard focused on what would happen to the console market if Call of Duty became an Xbox exclusive, regulators from the European Union and the United Kingdom have agreed that the primary concern is the cloud gaming market. The UK's Competition and Markets Authority actually elected to block the deal in late April on the basis that having those IPs would allow Microsoft, which they already considered a dominant player in the cloud gaming market, to foreclose competitors even in the face of the multiple 10-year deals Microsoft signed them in prior weeks (and said competitors actually rooting for the deal to go through). On the other hand, the European Union decided to approve the deal earlier today while forcing Microsoft to employ specific remedies that would benefit consumers and other players in the cloud gaming market. The remedies are, according to the press release: A free license to consumers in the EEA that would allow them to stream, via any cloud game streaming services of their choice, all current and future Activision Blizzard PC and console games for which they have a license. A corresponding free license to cloud game streaming service providers to allow EEA-based gamers to stream any Activision Blizzard's PC and console games. Those are some very favorable conditions for both consumers and cloud gaming platforms. While the EU can only enforce those in the European Union, Microsoft president Brad Smith confirmed on Twitter that they would actually apply globally, provided that the deal goes through. That means cloud gaming providers everywhere could request a free license to stream Activision Blizzard games on their platforms. Unfortunately, despite the EU's fresh stamp of approval, the deal is still more likely to fall through than not due to the CMA's staunch opposition. Following today's announcement, they released a statement proclaiming that Microsoft's proposals would allow the company to 'set the terms and conditions for the cloud gaming market for the next ten years'. Microsoft and Activision Blizzard are due to appeal the CMA's decision in the coming weeks. https://wccftech.com/cloud-gaming-providers-globally-would-get-10-year-activision-blizzard-license-if-microsofts-deal-is-approved/

  6. In addition to the Ryzen 8000 leak, information regarding AMD's Zen 5 & Zen 5C powered EPYC Turin, Turin-X & Turin-Dense CPUs have been revealed too. AMD Readies At Least Five Zen 5 & Zen 5C CPU Families For EPYC Servers: Turin, Turin-X, Turin-Dense, Turin AI & Sorano Once again, these new rumors come from Moore's Law is Dead latest roadmap which points out the next-generation EPYC CPU families. The roadmap covers at least five EPYC CPU lineups which can be expected in 2024-2025. AMD has already confirmed Turin as its next-gen EPYC family and it will utilize both Zen 5 and Zen 5C cores, AMD EPYC Turin & Turn-X With Zen 5: Up To 128 Cores, 4nm Process Starting with the first family, we have the AMD EPYC Turin (Classic) which will stick with the chiplet design and house up to 128 cores, 256 threads, and TDPs of up to 500W which can be configurable on certain SKUs up to 600W (as revealed in today's Gigabyte leak). In a previous leak, it was shown that the EPYC Turin chips would feature the same L2 and L3 cache as Zen 4 with a small upgrade to the L1 cache. The major change will come in how AMD arranges the cache on Zen 5 chips which are expected to utilize a "Ladder" hierarchy. The chips are shown to enter production by Q1 2024 & will utilize the TSMC 4nm process node. The actual launch is expected to take place by the third quarter of 2023. Moving on, we have the AMD EPYC Turin-X chips which will be outfitted with a 3D V-Cache. These chips will retain the 64MB of 3D V-Cache per CCD which totals 1024 MB across the 16 CCDs & 512 MB of standard L3 cache. Totaling up to 1536 MB or 1.5 GB of L3 cache. If we combine the L2 cache which is 1 MB per core or 128 MB in total, that increases to 1664 MB of total cache which is still not including the L1 cache. That's a 33% higher cache compared to the upcoming Genoa-X CPU family. Moving over to the Zen 5C side of things, we first have the AMD EPYC Turin Dense chips which will be succeeding Bergamo. Turin Dense isn't an official name for now but it is expected to utilize the 3nm Zen 5C cores in up to 192 core SKUs. These chips will feature up to 500W TDPs but the most interesting thing is that they are expected to hit production before the standard Turin chips. MLID states that this is due to AMD speeding things to compete directly against Intel's Sierra Forest 144 core chips which are also expected around the same time in the first half of 2024. There's also a secondary Turin Dense chip known as Turin AI which is expected to feature the same Zen 5C cores but with an AI chiplet. There aren't many details regarding this specific SKU but we can expect Xilinx IP to power the AI chiplet for certain applications. AMD is making AI its no.1 strategic priority and it makes sense to incorporate more AI-specific hardware within its EPYC CPUs for the customers that demand it. Lastly, there's the follow-up to AMD's Siena CPUs known as Sorano. The AMD EPYC 8004 "Siena" lineup makes use of Zen 4/4C cores on the more mainstream and low-cost/low-TCO/low-power platform known as SP6. It has 6-channel memory support and 96 PCIe gen 5 interconnects. These chips will retain up to 64 cores and 225W TDP and production is expected in the 2H of 2024 with availability sometime in 2025. AMD has so far announced its upcoming “AMD Data Center and AI Technology Premiere,” which will be the center stage for various server and data center-specific announcements. Definitely expect to hear more about future and upcoming products at the event which is taking place in June. https://wccftech.com/amd-zen-5-server-cpu-rumors-turin-up-to-128-cores-turin-x-up-to-1-5-gb-l3-cache-turin-dense-192-zen-5c-cores/

  8. Rabat - Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita has called on the international community to intensify efforts to support peace and stability in Sudan, and avoid any security disruptions in the regions. Speaking at the session dedicated to Sudan at the Sunday meeting of Arab League foreign ministers, the diplomat expressed Morocco’s regret and concern over what the security situation in the country has become. He added that Morocco is expressing “unconditional solidarity” with Sudan and will continue to provide all necessary aid and support to help the country overcome the current crisis. Morocco also supports the initiatives and steps that the Arab League and other states are taking to help the situation, including the sending of humanitarian aid and mediation efforts to build an environment conducive to a constructive dialogue, the minister added. Bourita also emphasized that the solution to the crisis should come from Sudan and away from any external pressures and interference, in order to produce a lasting peaceful agreement. Fighting broke out last month in Sudan between the country’s army and the paramilitary group Rapid Defense Forces (RSF). The fighting has derailed internationally supported plans to bring civilian rule to the country after years of unrest and military uprisings. A previously agreed-upon ceasefire during Eid Al-Fitr was broken, as the battles have proceeded to take hundreds of lives and leave thousands wounded since then. Reports indicate that over 100,000 refugees have been forced to leave the country as well due to the clashes. Although several parties are attempting to mediate a deal between the army and RSF, both parties have made it clear that they would not negotiate an end to the war, but only a humanitarian truce. For its own part, Morocco has been working on evacuating its citizens who have been stranded in the country, with the latest evacuation plane landing in Casablanca with 125 Moroccans onboard. A total of 572 Moroccans have evacuated the country so far through the flights that the country has facilitated. © Morocco World News. All Rights Reserved. 10. Nearly seven years after the release of the last installment in the franchise, CAPCOM's Dead Rising returns in the news thanks to a rumor spread by Windows Central's Jez Corden. Shortly after sharing his information regarding Sony's exclusive deals with Konami for MGS 3 Remake, Silent Hill, and maybe Castlevania, Corden tweeted he heard a rumor about a possible Dead Rising reboot being under evaluation at CAPCOM. Later, he added that it wasn't anything concrete yet, but it was enough to get fans interested in the mere possibility. Dead Rising was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in 2006. It was a critical and commercial success for CAPCOM, thanks to its many unique features. For instance, it showcased the potential of the new console with hundreds of zombies available on screen; it allowed players to grab almost anything they could find in the Willamette Parkview Mall to throw at the zombie hordes; and it featured an intriguing timer mechanics that forced players to make decisions on which events they wanted to participate in over the course of the three days. Dead Rising players could also choose whether to rescue other survivors and, based on various factors, they would get a different ending. Even protagonist Frank West, a photo reporter stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, quickly became a favorite among gamers, who also loved the many nods to the history of zombie fiction, starting with John Romero's cult movies. The sequel was handed over to Blue Castle Games, later known as CAPCOM Vancouver, who would also develop Dead Rising 3 and 4. The second and third installments featured new protagonists, while Frank West returned for Dead Rising 4. However, the sequels veered away from the original game's horror vibe, betting everything on the corniness and weirdness of the weapons at the player's disposal. CAPCOM Vancouver was working on a fifth mainline entry before trouble began in early 2018 with over 50 cut jobs. A few months later, CAPCOM announced the studio's closure and the cancellation of its projects, which cost the Japanese publisher around $40 million. Later, we learned that the Vancouver studio was also planning to make a new Dino Crisis game in addition to Dead Rising 5. CAPCOM has been on an amazing streak, that's for sure. For a Dead Rising reboot to be successful, it'd have to return to what made it special in the first place. We'll wait and see if the rumor gets confirmed in the future. https://wccftech.com/dead-rising-reboot-rumor-shared-by-jez-corden/

  11. Apple will announce the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models later this year, While the company is upgrading the standard models with a Dynamic Island which will help Apple boost sales. It was previously reported that the iPhone 15 Pro will come with solid-state buttons instead of physical keys. It was later covered that Apple has reserved the plans for the iPhone 16 Pro models. If you are not familiar, check out the list of potential features that could arrive with the iPhone 15 Pro if Apple goes ahead with the solid-state buttons. Check out the list of features that could make it to the iPhone 15 Pro assuming Apple goes ahead with its plans to introduce solid-state buttons The iPhone 15 Pro models are rumored to feature major changes in terms of design like the Action Button, USB-C, and slimmer bezels. The company will also say goodbye to the Mute Switch in favor of an Action Button. The Action Button could potentially be a shortcut button and you will have the option to map a certain function to it. The functionality of the Action Button could be very similar to the Apple Watch Ultra and how users can customize it according to their needs. If Apple goes ahead with its plans to include solid-state buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro, check out the list of potential features that could be part of the mix.Starting with the solid-state Action Button, the iPhone 15 Pro could bring some of the Apple Watch Ultra features to the table. Check out the list of features below. Stopwatch Dropping a compass waypoint Backtrack Turn the Flashlight on/off Shutter button for the camera Launch favorite app Launch specific shortcut Mute Switch Take Screenshot Accessibility features Switch Focus Modes Activate Siren These are the potential features that could arrive with the iPhone 15 Pro assuming Apple goes ahead with the solid-state buttons. Other than the Action Button, the Volume and Power buttons will adopt the solid-state solution as well. The buttons would feature the same functions that we use now and more. It was previously reported that the capacitive buttons will be capable of sensing pressure similar to the 3D Touch functionality. The solid-state Volume buttons could sense the pressure or force and will increase or decrease volume faster depending on the applied pressure (via MacRumors Forums). For instance, if you press the volume down button with force, the device volume will go down faster. Other than this, since the solid-state buttons are capacitive, users can simply control volume by sliding or swiping their fingers up or down. Additionally, the solid-state buttons would work the same way as the buttons on iPhone 14 Pro models for switching off or rebooting your iPhone. Apple could also assign more features to the solid-state buttons as it sees fit. Additionally, iOS 17 would have a major role to play as well since it would bring new features to the table. However, be sure to take the news with a grain of salt since the final word rests with Apple. Apple is hosting its WWDC 2023 event on June 5 where it will see fit to announce iOS 17 to the public. We will potentially get access to a lot of information regarding the upcoming iPhones so be sure to stick around, Do you think the iPhone 15 Pro models will gain support for solid-state buttons? 12. AMD's Ryzen 7000X3D 3D V-Cache CPUs including the Ryzen 9 7950X3D & 7900X3D are available at some sweet deals through Newegg. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D & 7900X3D 3D V-Cache Desktop CPUs See Discounts In The US, 16-Core Down To $629 US, 12 Core At $539 US The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D & Ryzen 9 7900X3D have been getting price cuts and promotional deals through various retailers since the launch of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. That's largely due to the 8-core's popularity amongst gamers and AMD wants to entice users into buying their more premium chips. In the previous deals, we saw the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D fall down to $674 US & the 7900X3D drop to $549 US. It looks like Newegg's eBay outlet is offering even better prices with the 7950X3D priced at $629.99 US, a drop of -10% over MSRP (-$70 US). Meanwhile, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D has also got a price cut though it's less significant compared to its bigger sibling. The chip can now be bought for a price of $539 US which is also a -10% drop over MSRP (-$60 US). You can order the CPUs from the US through the following links: Ryzen 9 7950X3D (eBay Through Newegg) - $629.99 US Ryzen 9 7900X3D (eBay Through Newegg) - $539.99 US Meanwhile, the prices of Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPUs remain unaffected as it still retails for $449 US and has been selling like hotcakes. Despite the recent reports of AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs burning out on AM5 platforms, these chips still hold a lot of value & even in our review, we found the 7950X3D to be an amazing chip offering great multi-threaded performance coupled with insanely efficient and fast gaming performance. AMD and its partners have issued the first BIOS to resolve these issues & more optimizations are expected to roll out soon through BIOS updates. Furthermore, the AMD Ryzen 7000 & Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs come with a free copy of Star Wars Jedi Survivor which may not be the best PC title when it comes to optimization but it's still $60 US value if you consider it. https://wccftech.com/amd-3d-v-cache-cpus-on-sale-ryzen-9-7950x3d-for-629-us-7900x3d-for-539-us/

  13. The past few years have been pretty rough for PC gaming, with most big releases suffering from a variety of issues at launch, such as Hogwarts Legacy, The Last of Us Part I, and, more recently, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Arkane Austin's latest game, Redfall, is sadly not much different from these games, as its PC port is yet another poor one, according to Digital Foundry. In their tech review released earlier today, Digital Foundry highlighted how the PC version of the game, while featuring all three upscalers - AMD FSR, NVIDIA DLSS, and Intel XeSS - definitely feels light in terms of features and options, as few are the graphics options that can be tweaked. These options control multiple features at once, and with bad description and no preview screens showcasing how changing the options affect the game's visual quality, they are far from being the best we have seen in recent times. The bad selection of graphics options in the PC port of Redfall isn't the only thing that makes this version of the game poor. Both DLSS and XeSS have noticeable visual glitches, and visuals are generally not that good, with low shadow quality even at max settings. Despite the somewhat undemanding visuals, the game runs poorly on most systems due to its inability to fully utilize the CPU and GPU. With traversal stutters being prevalent as well, it looks like there's currently no way to enjoy Redfall to the fullest for those who don't own a top-of-the-line system. Even if the game ran better on PC and consoles, Redfall would have been far from being one of the best games ever released by Arkane Austin. As Alessio highlighted in his review-in-progress, the game is a decent enough experiment that is not entirely successful. Arkane Austin's game director Harvey Smith said Redfall was one of the studio's many experiments stretching the immersive simulation towards various genres. From my preliminary analysis, it's not a failed experiment by any means, but it's also not entirely successful and likely to be left behind for better fits. Redfall is now available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The game is also available on both PC and consoles as part of the Xbox Game Pass library. https://wccftech.com/redfall-is-yet-another-poor-pc-port-according-to-digital-foundrys-analysis/

  14. The iPhone 14 Pro models launched with a boatload of forward-facing hardware changes, including the new Dynamic Island. Even though Dynamic Island is hiding the Face ID and the front-facing camera, Apple tweaked the software to take advantage of the space available. A user now shows how the dock in macOS could benefit if Apple adopted the Dynamic approach. Scroll down to read more details on the subject. A designer Imagines a dynamic macOS dock that expands to reveal more information A designer showcased a demo on Twitter highlighting how the macOS dock could benefit from being more dynamic and fluid. On first look, the dock looks exactly like a standard dock with apps neatly stacked against each other in the middle of the screen. It is upon interaction the apps come to life in a more dynamic way. The user hovers the mouse pointer on an app, and it dynamically expands to create space and reveal more information related to that app. The user experimented with various apps like messages, live music, and more. When the mouse pointer hovers over the Messages app, it reveals your unread messages. You can see the red badge on top of the contacts, suggesting that these are unread or the latest messages. When the mouse is dragged on top of the contact, it shows a little preview bubble. You can check out the tweet below for more details. The Apple Music app also behaves the same way as it expands to show what is being played and the basic controls like play, pause, next, and previous song. The Safari app in the macOS dock also reveals the download progress when the pointer is dragged on top of the app. To be fair, the demo has been made to work fluidly and shows how Apple can enhance the macOS dock by offering some tweaks. You can see in the short video that when an app dynamically expands, the entire dock enlarges. Take note that this is not the final product, and there is no word if Apple is indeed looking to implement something similar. Nonetheless, it makes sense for the company to do so to streamline the entire ecosystem. Since the latest MacBooks offer a notch on the top, Apple can easily bring something similar to the table as well. Apple will announce macOS 14 on June 5 at its WWDC event, and we will be covering the event extensively. This is all there is to it, folks. Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below. https://wccftech.com/dynamic-macos-dock-concept/

  15. Intel's Meteor Lake GPU will drop the need for a discrete graphics chip on entry-level laptops as it will deliver great performance with higher battery times. Intel Meteor Lake GPU May Offer Up To RTX 3050 Performance At Just 45W, Thin & Light Laptops With Higher Battery Times As a part of his latest video, Moore's Law is Dead also shared an alleged AMD Internal presentation for Q4 2022 which compared the graphics performance of its upcoming integrated graphics with a range of NVIDIA discrete solutions. The slides also show the projection of Intel's Meteor Lake iGPU and put it behind the Phoenix 45W solution though that has changed and the Meteor Lake Xe-LPG GPU is now projected to deliver much better performance. The slide shows the AMD Radeon 780M GPU featured on Phoenix APUs with 12 RDNA 3 Compute Units at 45W sitting ahead of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (50W). The Strix Point APUs have also been shown here which offer faster than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (35W) performance with RDNA 3+ GPUs configured with 16 Compute Units at 45W. Initially, the Intel Meteor Lake GPU which features the Xe-LPG Alchemist architecture, the same as the Arc GPUs, was said to end up behind the Phoenix RDNA 3 APU however it looks like the Meteor Lake chip is much more powerful and can deliver performance anywhere between the NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti and the RTX 3050 at 45W. The Intel Meteor Lake Xe-LPG GPU will feature a new tiled design and incorporate up to 128 Execution Units. The GPU tile will be fabricated on the TSMC 5nm node and early leaks have shown it to be clocking up to 2.1 GHz and delivering over 4 TFLOPs of compute horsepower. These GPUs will have two configurations, a 64 EU (MTL GT2) and 128 EU (MTL GT3) design. These will also enable enhanced support for DirectX 12 Ultimate & XeSS, features that are only supported by the Alchemist lineup as of right now. Intel will also be using its brand new Adamantine L4 cache starting with Meteor Lake GPUs which will definitely give a nice boost to the GPUs. Overall, having an integrated GPU of this level would mean that laptop manufacturers can enable cheaper designs with far better battery times compared to those with discrete GPUs. Now we can't say how well these GPUs will perform in gaming benchmarks since the performance here is only measured within 3DMark Fire Strike and synthetics aren't the best way to showcase a true gaming scenario. AMD's RDNA 3 GPUs are offering some great numbers in several AAA titles and they have yet to receive proper driver support so expect more information from Intel about the true capabilities of its Xe-LPG GPUs soon. Intel's Meteor Lake chips will be landing soon as they are planned to launch in Q4 2023. Intel has a Vision event happening this month so expect more information during that. https://wccftech.com/intel-meteor-lake-gpu-offers-gtx-1650-ti-rtx-3050-level-of-performance/

  16. In the study there was a cohort of around 10 million people, of which 4 million were vaccinated with the two doses. This Wednesday, the phase IV study of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine in Chile was published in The New England Journal of Medicine, one of the most prestigious journals in the world. The document indicates that the effectiveness of the biological among fully vaccinated people (two doses and more than fourteen days since its last application) was 65.9% for the prevention of COVID-19, while in 87.5% it avoided the hospitalization, in 90.3% it prevented admission to the intensive care unit and in 86.3% of a death related to COVID-19. The research was conducted from February 2 to May 1 of this year and had a cohort of approximately 10.2 million people, of which 4.1 million were already fully vaccinated and 542,418 had received a dose. "Our results suggest that the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine effectively prevented COVID-19, including serious illness and death, a finding that is consistent with the results of phase 2 trials of the vaccine," it said. . The document states that it is estimated that the effectiveness of the vaccine among partially immunized people (14 to 28 days after receiving the first dose) was 15.5% for the prevention of COVID-19, 37.4% for the prevention of hospitalization, 44.7% for admission to the ICU and 45.7% for the prevention of death. "Overall, our results suggest that the CoronaVac vaccine was highly effective against serious illness, hospitalization, and death, findings that underscore the potential of this vaccine to save lives and substantially reduce demands on the healthcare system," it added. The researchers note that they lack representative data to estimate the effect of variants on the effectiveness of the vaccine. Website News: -->Here<--

  23. Guillermo Avellán, manager of the ECB, explained that the industries that registered the sharpest fall were construction and accommodation, related to tourism. Ecuador had a negative annual growth of its economy in the first quarter of 2021. The result was -5.6%. This negative result, which compares the growth obtained in the first quarter of 2020 (the last almost normal before the pandemic) with the first quarter of 2021, is due to the fall in Government consumption (-8.5%) and Training Gross Capital (FBKF) or investment (-6.3%); as well as household consumption, which was -3%. This was reported by the brand new manager of the Central Bank, Guillermo Avellán Solines, in his first appearance in front of the media. According to Avellán, among the industries that had a more complex behavior are construction with -10.4%; domestic service with -9.2% and accommodation and food services with -9%. In any case, in the first quarter of annual 2021 there were activities that did grow. Among them, fishing with 16.2%, mail and communications 4.3% and oil refining with 3% per year. The manager explained that in January and February the forecast was that the behavior would be more negative. In 2020, the country also registered an annual drop of 7.8%. Meanwhile, doing an analysis of the first quarter compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, a slight economic recovery can be observed. The growth that was registered was 0.7%. This behavior is explained by the 3.5% growth in final consumption expenditure by households and the 2.8% increase in the FBKF. The industries that sustained growth were fishing with 15.2%, lodging with 3.1% and manufacturing with 2.4%. Avellán said, regarding the country's growth forecasts in 2021, that the current forecast is 2.8%; but that for the last quarter of the year a new forecast will be made in which a more positive calculation would be expected. The manager also announced that they are working on a new interest rate methodology, with input from the Superintendencies of Banks and the Po[CENSORED]r and Solidarity Economy. He also announced that this afternoon an agreement will be signed with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through which the way to recapitalize the Bank will be established, through the repurchase, by the Ministry, of the public banking shares with which they paid, in the government of Rafael Correa, the liquidity loans that the Bank made to the treasury.

  24. Strategy would allow them to understand each other better. New research has found that monkeys will use another species' "accent" when entering their territory to help them understand each other better and potentially avoid conflict. Published in the journal Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology, the study is the first to show asymmetric convergence of calls in primates, meaning that one species chooses to adopt the call patterns of another species to communicate. The study, co-authored by Dr. Jacob Dunn of Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), investigated the behavior of 15 groups of bald tamarins (Saguinus bicolor) and red-handed tamarins (Saguinus midas) in the Brazilian Amazon. Red-handed tamarins are critically endangered and have one of the smallest ranges of any primate in the world, largely around the city of Manaus, while red-handed tamarins are found throughout the northeastern Amazon region. The researchers found that when groups of red-handed tamarins entered shared territory with bald marmosets, the red-handed tamarins adopted the long calls used by bald marmosets. Red-handed marmosets have greater vocal flexibility and use calls more often than bald marmosets, and scientists believe they could alter their calls to avoid territorial disputes over resources. Lead author Tainara Sobroza, from the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazonia, said: “When groups of tamarins move rapidly through the mature Amazon forest, it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish the species, but during our research we were surprised to find that they also they sound the same in the areas of the forest that coexist. “We found that only red-handed marmosets change their calls to bald marmosets, and this only happens in places where they live together. It is not known with certainty why their calls converge in this way, but possibly it is to help with identification when defending territory or competing for resources. " Co-author Dr. Jacob Dunn, associate professor of evolutionary biology at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), said: “We have long known that when closely related species overlap in their geographic ranges, we are likely to see interesting evolutionary patterns. One example is the Galapagos finches, studied by Charles Darwin, whose beaks evolved to specialize in different foods on the islands to avoid competition. In some cases, instead of diverging to become more different from each other, some closely related species converge to display similar traits. Our study is the first to show an asymmetric convergence of calls in primates, and the call of one species becomes the ‘lingua franca’ in shared territories. "Because these tamarin species depend on similar resources, changing their 'accents' in this way is likely to help these small primates identify with each other more easily in dense forests and potentially avoid conflict."

  25. Despite its history and importance, its name doesn't resonate as strongly as it should. And it's not because we forget about it, but the Audi Sport Quattro looks like it's anesthetized by the Volkswagen Group. For those of you who do not know, it is one of the sports cars most loved by fans of four wheels and a technological forerunner. In addition to that it was one of the first models of the firm of the four rings to po[CENSORED]rize the all-wheel drive «quattro». Be that as it may, the return of the legendary Audi Sport Quattro seems more distant than ever. That is, if we focus on the "legally established" channels. Yes, because although the German consortium does not seem to see profitability in a possible reissue, there is another firm that has jumped into the ring. We refer to the Elegend EL1, a kind of retro-electric version of the model that swept the World Rally Championship between 1981 and 1986. The Elegend EL1 has three electric motors and a final output of 816 hp As you can see, the design of the Elegend EL1 drinks "cheekily" from the style of the Audi Sport Quattro. Not surprisingly, it is not a copy, as it has its own design elements that make it an attractive product. Among them we can highlight a muscular front with optics integrated into the grill. The black mask wraps the whole and extends over the bumper. In addition, to its shape, it has three openings at the base of the hood. The side view of the Elegend EL1 is also similar to that of the Sport Quattro, although it stands out for its camera mirrors. Confirmation comes from taking a look at the shape of the body, the wheel arches or the position of the "C" pillar. As a complement, it has 19-inch alloy wheels in the front train and 20 inches in the rear. Finally there is the rear, with simple LED optics and a small spoiler that crowns the hatchback. Inside, the Elegend EL1's design is minimalist to the extreme. Among the elements that make it up, we have four screens of different sizes. One is for controlling the infotainment system and the other for the configurable digital instrument panel. The remaining two are necessary to see what the exterior mirrors register. Ultimately we have a low-volume central tunnel with simple lines. Finally we will talk about his technique. Under its skin we have a carbon fiber chassis that will keep its final weight below 1,700 kilos. As for the powertrain, we have three electric motors that deliver 816 hp that are powered by a 90 kWh battery. The benefits will be at high altitude, with an acceleration of 2.8 seconds and a peak of 255 kilometers per hour. Its autonomy? It is expected to be about 400 kilometers ... When will the EL1… hit the market? At the moment the arrival on the market of the Elegend EL1 is a mystery. Those responsible for the German startup have indicated that it will begin the validation tests in 2022. However, they have already indicated that its production will be limited to 30 units with an estimated price of 890 thousand euros plus taxes. After him more models should arrive, although we will have to see the evolution of this project to see if their plans go as they want ...

Lemon is a fruit that has properties that benefit our immune system and even skin and hair. If we add it, in a drink, to green tea, we will obtain hydration, vitamin C, it will help us lose weight and avoid fluid retention, among other benefits. The combination of lemon and green tea is an antioxidant drink that can be drunk hot or cold, preferably without sugar. It is advisable to do it regularly but not excessively. This will help improve our digestion, according to "Aromas of Tea." It also helps prevent or reduce flu symptoms. For that it must be taken hot. In addition, it helps to lower the fever and remove the sore throat. For digestion, take it on an empty stomach to eliminate toxins. Consuming green tea with lemon reduces acne and improves the appearance of hair, according to the publication. "It is an excellent supplement that helps you burn fat to lose weight and cleanse the body, that is why it is ideal to drink 2 to 3 cups a day, the first one as soon as you get up. For this first infusion, organic black tea with lemon will be great for you, which also helps you activate your mind. If you are one of those who eat breakfast at the office, you can take a pyramid of organic black tea with lemon, which is easily prepared and does not take up space. For the other 2 at mid-morning and / or mid-afternoon and enjoy a sublime well-being. In this second case, we recommend taking lemon sorbet green and white tea, which is lighter in terms of theine level, ”he added. To prepare it, water (125 milliliters per cup) is infused until boiling. In the container that we are going to use for the drink, add one or two teaspoons of green tea with lemon and add the hot water. We let it rest for three minutes. To reduce the ravages of menstruation or lift your spirits, you can add cinnamon. For flu states, add ginger. If you have digestive problems, add a teaspoon of baking soda. In case of constipation, use flaxseed. Finally, for cosmetic purposes, use aloe vera. "If you take it for pleasure, the time of day does not matter, but if you are looking to fine-tune your body and eliminate toxins, it is best to take it in the morning. It will also help you when you go to the bathroom and burn fat. After eating, it is great for days of copious meals to feel a natural well-being, or if, of normal, it is difficult for you to digest. Finally, if you take it before training, what you ensure is a dose of energy and a tune-up of the body, which will have more predisposition to work and, therefore, to burn more fat ", concludes in the publication.

  27. Argentina is one of the most affected countries in the region. This Friday the Argentine government announced that it will update the legal framework to be able to "acquire pediatric vaccines" against COVID-19 and "expand the spectrum of vaccines available to the general po[CENSORED]tion," especially those from the United States, laboratories with which the South American country He has not been able to sign contracts and whose vaccines are part of the donations made by the United States. The Argentine president, Alberto Fernández, will sign a decree of necessity and urgency (DNU), it was reported, to modify law 27,573 that Congress approved last year, which enables the Ministry of Health to close contracts to purchase the vaccine under certain conditions that were understood to be demanded by the suppliers. As announced at a press conference by the Legal and Technical Secretary of the Nation, Vilma Ibarra, the DNU "is the result of negotiations with the laboratories that provide vaccines", after several of them had stated "the impossibility of contracting in the framework of the law passed by Congress ”. One of these laboratories is Pfizer, whose general manager in Argentina, Nicolás Vaquer, stated last June that the Argentine legal framework "is not compatible" with any of the contractual aspects proposed by the company. The Argentine government has been involved in a controversy because it could not close a contract with Pfizer, despite having approved the "vaccine law", which in July 2020 authorized the laboratory to carry out a phase 3 trial in the country and that in December the regulator approved the use of the vaccine. Regarding the DNU that will be published tomorrow, the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, said this Friday that "it is important" in relation to three possibilities of receiving vaccines: the bilateral agreements with different laboratories, which will "facilitate" more vaccines with the WHO's Covax mechanism and "favoring" access to donations, "mainly the US" due to its greater proximity and proximity. "It is the starting point to continue moving forward with the negotiations," added she Vizzotti. The DNU creates a "COVID-19 Repair Fund" to respond to the payment of compensation in the event that a person may be harmed by the application of a vaccine. "The fund responds and, if not, it is the State that takes charge," said Ibarra. “Negligence” is also eliminated as a liability assumption for those in charge of research, development, production or supply of vaccines. Meanwhile, Ibarra clarified that the contracts to be signed will establish the way in which the State receives the vaccines it requests, according to or not. In addition, it replaces the reference to "fraudulent maneuvers, malicious conduct" provided for in the law by "malicious conduct", a concept used by the Civil and Commercial Code. For "malicious conduct, suppliers respond," Ibarra clarified. Regarding the immunity of State assets, the royalties received by the national State and private State assets will be exempted from immunity. The new regulation also paves the way for the purchase of vaccines that can be applied to children and adolescents, a claim that was gaining strength in society, again given the difficulty of acquiring the Pfizer vaccine, approved for children between 12 and 17 years old. Vizzotti recalled that in Argentina "there is no" pediatric vaccine approved yet. The minister also indicated that "it is incomplete to think that the only (vaccine) that may be available in the medium term is a single one", in relation to Pfizer. "We are working with all suppliers," she added, after mentioning the trials of Moderna, Soberana and Abdala, in China and Sputnik V. Argentina reported 20,888 new cases of covid-19 this Friday, bringing the total number of positives to 4'512,439, while deaths rose to 95,382, after 614 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The figures reveal a slight decrease compared to the positives registered this Thursday, when 21,177 cases were reported.

  29. The project will finance new investment opportunities and help consolidate a business model based on the shared use of telecommunications towers. IDB Invest, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, announced this Thursday that it has mobilized $ 36.8 million in financing to promote the telecommunications infrastructure market shared in Ecuador with Phoenix Tower International (PTI), one of the infrastructure companies fastest growing telecommunications provider in the world. The agreement involves the mobilization of $ 25 million in financing from Proparco, a development finance institution owned by the French Development Agency and private shareholders, and $ 11.8 million from CIFI, a non-bank financial institution that is a leader in infrastructure and energy financing in Latin America and the Caribbean. This agreement potentially contributes to four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): end poverty (SDG 1), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), industry, innovation and infrastructure (OSD 9) and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). Resource mobilization builds on the strong history of collaboration between IDB Invest and Proparco since the signing of a framework co-financing agreement in 2017. Proparco is the private sector financing arm of Agence Française de Developpement Group (AFD Group) and For more than 40 years, it has provided financing and support to both companies and financial institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East in key development sectors. The project will finance new capital investment opportunities, mainly for new distributed antenna systems opportunities and complies with the initial financial plan for which IDB Invest granted an $ 80 million loan to PTI, in order to boost the independent infrastructure market. telecommunications in Ecuador and promote a more efficient development of this sector in the country. The transaction will help consolidate a business model based on the shared use of telecommunications towers in the Ecuadorian market. The project is also expected to improve the productivity of the sector, since mobile network operators will be able to develop their networks more efficiently and economically, taking advantage of the existing infrastructure of the project, which will contribute to reducing the connectivity gap in Ecuador, through of the expansion of mobile broadband networks and the reduction of costs for operators. PTI owns and operates more than 12,500 towers, 986 km of fiber, and more than 80,000 other wireless infrastructures and related facilities in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe.

  30. The new species is likely to be found only in the area where it was found. A new species of land frog described in the Cordillera del Cóndor by Ecuadorian researchers has been named Pristimantis ledzeppelin, in honor of the mythical British rock band Led Zeppelin. His finding, in the community of Río Blanco, in that mountain range of the Ecuadorian Andean system, has been published this month in the scientific journal Neotropical Biodiversity. It is likely that the new species is only found in the area where it was found, say the researchers who wanted to honor the British band formed in 1968, of enormous influence on later rock, by giving its name to the new frog found. The research was developed by a team from the San Francisco de Quito University (USFQ), in collaboration with the National Institute of Biodiversity (INABIO), reported this Wednesday this entity attached to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition of Ecuador. The new species is characterized by having finely tuberculated skin on the back and flanks, a distinctive sca[CENSORED]r fold, and a rounded snout with a small rostral papilla, the institution specified. It also has truncated digit discs, English, and hidden yellowish thigh surfaces and distinctive blackish-brown markings and coppery-red irises. According to researchers David Brito-Zapata and Carolina Reyes-Puig (associated with INABIO), land frogs of the genus Pristimantis are an extremely diverse group of vertebrates that currently comprise 569 known species. Only in the last two years, twenty-eight species of this genus have been described in Ecuador, of which fourteen are from the southern Andes, a region that has proven to be one of the most diverse in small vertebrates and with high endemism. The Cordillera del Cóndor is a mountain range with rugged topography in southeastern Ecuador and northern Peru, located east of the main body of the eastern Andes. The great biodiversity of this region is still unknown, although in recent years there have been several discoveries of amphibians restricted to this endemic area. This mountainous system is part of one of the most threatened ecoregions in the world, due to the expansion of agriculture and livestock frontiers, logging, small and large-scale mining, also due to the introduction of diseases, as well as possible effects of the climate change, scientists say.

  31. The Kia Telluride is one of the most important all-terrain vehicles in America. Its history is very recent, so much so that at the moment it is the first, and only, generation that the South Korean firm commercializes of it. However, it was to launch it on the market and kiss the saint, especially in terms of prizes and order volume. The proof is that, almost without disheveled, he won the prestigious "World Car Award" that took place in the 2020 financial year. Now, after two years on sale, its managers have decided that it should undergo a subtle restyling. The reason for this we do not know, since the equator of its life cycle has not yet arrived. However, it is to be understood that his rivals "hate" him and therefore want to take away his position as a pretty boy. So they have not broken their heads and have updated some sections of their aesthetics and endowment. Although, yes, do not expect big changes ... Kia Telluride revamp focuses on front grille and logos If we look closely at the photos that Kia USA has posted, we can see how the Telluride has evolved. Especially on the front, including the new logo that is gradually reaching the rest of the models in the range. The Tiger Nose grill remains as is, although a new decorative mesh seems to have arrived after it. And so far we can read, because the rest of the elements that make up the aesthetics of this all-terrain seem to remain as is. However, customers who want to add a touch of "darkness" to their Kia Telluride can opt for the Nightfall Edition. The novelties that it introduces in its aesthetics are not radical, although they can be seen with the naked eye. Especially since the different chrome trim and appliques disappear to turn black. Nor can we ignore that the bodywork, roof bars and alloy wheels are dressed in a glossy black tone. Inside, the revamped Kia Telluride also gets some changes. These do not focus on its design, which remains unchanged from the version that is still sold. Its managers, in this regard, have decided to increase the standard endowment from the access levels. Thus, there will be no lack of elements such as the 10.25-inch central touch screen, automatic climate, active cruise control or roadside driver assistance. All these improvements, of course, will have an impact on a higher sale price. However, the difference with respect to his main rivals continues to be beneficial for him. Still, the first units of the updated Telluride will hit Kia dealerships in the United States later this year. A pity that Europe still does not reach, because with a hybrid or plug-in hybrid version it could make a lot of pupae.

  32. Lack of vitamins can lead to premature aging. Good nutrition is key to avoid having different health problems, even more so as the years go by. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the lack of nutrients also causes malnutrition. “Inadequate intakes of vitamins and minerals (the so-called micronutrients) can be grouped together in the same group. The body needs micronutrients to produce enzymes, hormones, and other substances essential for proper growth and development. Iodine, vitamin A and iron are the most important in terms of public health on a global scale, ”he noted. Although the po[CENSORED]tion that is most affected and vulnerable to these problems are children and pregnant women, as adults advance in their age there are nutrients that should not be neglected. According to the portal Your doctor, there are vitamins that you should not leave out of your diet after the age of 30, such as vitamin E, which provides antioxidants and delays the appearance of premature wrinkles. The foods that have these nutrients are raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, walnuts, blueberries, among others. Another component that should not be overlooked is iron, which is included in red meat and seafood, its deficiency causes anemia. Calcium is also important in the human body because it prevents osteoporosis, the foods that provide this are cheese, salmon, broccoli and milk. Vitamin C should not be lacking in your diet either, taking greater prominence during the pandemic, as it can reduce skin blemishes. Finally, folic acid is essential for those women who plan to have a baby and you can find nuts, avocado, among others.

  33. The Chinese authorities have not given the green light to any foreign vaccines and are immunizing with seven local drugs. China has already administered more than 1 billion doses of its COVID-19 vaccines in its national territory, the National Health Commission of the Asian country reported this Sunday. In a brief statement, the institution points out that more than 1.010 million doses had been inoculated in China as of Saturday. The number of injected doses represents more than a third of the world total. By Friday, the world had passed the barrier of 2.5 billion doses, according to an AFP tally based on official sources. The local press highlights that 100 million of these injections have been administered in the last six days, which shows the acceleration of the vaccination campaign. The objective of the authorities is to vaccinate at least 70% of the po[CENSORED]tion - the groups that can be inoculated include minors between 3 and 17 years old for a few days - before the end of 2021, says EFE. The Chinese did not rush to get vaccinated because the virus has been almost eradicated in the country for more than a year, thanks to mandatory quarantines, mass testing and mobile applications to control movements. The lack of initially available data on Chinese vaccines and past adulterated dose scandals in China also contributed to the demotivation of some people. Given this, the government and companies strongly urged residents and employees to get vaccinated. In some cases, the authorities offer purchase vouchers or eggs to encourage vaccination. Of the seven vaccines authorized by China for emergency use - four also have a marketing permit - so far, five require two doses; one, of three, and another, the one developed by CanSino, only of one. At the moment, the Chinese authorities have not given the green light to any foreign vaccines for use in the mainland of the country - they are used, for example, in the semi-autonomous region of Hong Kong - despite the fact that, for example, the pharmaceutical company local Fosun Pharma has had an agreement for months to distribute the Pfizer-BioNTech preparation. Meanwhile, the health authorities reported this Sunday 23 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours, all from abroad and who were placed in isolation. There have only been two deaths from COVID-19 in thirteen months in China. Shops, restaurants and bars reopened in the spring of 2020 and public opinion is generally very satisfied with the management of the crisis by the government of President Xi Jinping.

  35. A group of researchers has described a new species of starfish -animal similar to starfish-, which was baptized 'Ophiojura', said this Thursday Dr. Tim O'Hara, main curator of the Victoria Museums (Australia) and main author of the study, published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B. The animal was discovered by scientists at the French National Museum of Natural History at a depth of 500 meters at the top of the Banc Durand seamount, located 200 kilometers east of New Caledonia in the South Pacific. Ophiojura, unique in its kind, has eight long arms armed with a series of hooks and thorns. The expert explained that a CT microtomography revealed rows of sharp teeth on all the jaws, which supposedly serve to trap and destroy prey. "If I had found this creature, I would have died," Christopher Mah, a researcher at the US National Museum of Natural History and an expert on starfish, who reviewed the article, told The New York Times. "That thing is all teeth," he added. DNA analysis showed that the species evolved from its closest living relatives about 180 million years ago, between the Triassic and Early Jurassic, when dinosaurs first emerged. "We now call them 'paleoendemic,' that is, a branch of life that was once widespread and is now limited to a few areas," O'Hara said. "Regarding the life of the seabed, the center of paleoendemism is in the continental margins and in the seamounts, in tropical waters between 200 and 1,000 meters deep," he pointed out.

  36. When it comes to super sports cars, its name does not usually come out in the top positions, but the Porsche 911 GT3 is a real giant killer. This model, in its many and different versions, is one of the most desired by fans of four wheels. It is not strange, since the Stuttgart house has managed to maintain its essence throughout the more than 50 years that it has been for sale. However, not all customers want equal attention. This axiom is applicable as the volume of the client's portfolio increases. To prevent them from setting their eyes on models that are just as sporty but less "scandalous to look at", Porsche has the solution. Take a 911 GT3 and add the Touring pack to the endowment. This is not the first time that it has carried out a similar commercial movement, since with the previous delivery (the 991.2) there was already a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring. We tell you the secrets of the new ... The image of the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring is more sober and elegant ... As we mentioned before, the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring brings a touch of discretion to the image of the GT3 that we already know. In fact, the main aesthetic difference between the two versions lies in the large rear wing. Rather, in the lack of this element, because on this occasion the engineers have opted for a retractable spoiler that folds or unfolds depending on the speed. However, it is not the only difference in its design. The grille has revised lines and the line of the windows adds a discreet chrome appliqué. Nor can we overlook the silver finish on the dual tailpipe or the GT3 Touring logo on the rear bumper. For its part, the wheels are on 20 and 21-inch alloy wheels. In terms of customization options, the interior is dressed in black leather on the upper part of the dashboard and other shades in the rest. To finish we must take a look at his heart. Under the hood remains the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer block with 374 kW (510 hp) of power and 496 Nm of maximum torque. The novelty is that customers who do not want the PDK automatic transmission can mount a manual Speed GT with 6 relations. However, its sale will start at the end of the year and when the time comes we will know more details.
