There were a lot of interesting announcements last week, ranging from cool new devices to what was basically an Amazon Echo on wheels from Asus. Such is the nature of Computex -- arguably one of the most powerful technology shows in the world. However, one of the most fascinating was Windows Holographic, which goes far beyond Hololens to redefine the world as we perceive it. This is likely one of the biggest announcements this decade -- if not this century -- and it has the potential to change the world. I'll close with my new favorite laptop: the Dell XPS 15, which showcases what you can get if price is almost no object. What is behind this is the ability to craft a virtual world that is blended with the real world, viewable through any device with a screen, a camera, and some kind of location-aware capability. You could use a VR Headset that would show both the real and the virtual, potentially reducing the risks associated with tripping over real objects while connected. You could use an AR headset and see the virtual world as a shadow over the real world. You could use a table that you'd hold as a personal window into the blended world, and you could use the Hololens to experience an ever richer blended world as that device matures. However, the end result would be a variety of apps that materially alter the world around us, viewed from a wide variety of existing and soon-to-arrive AR/VR devices. However, one part of this largely unexplored is that we then could redefine the man/machine interface. Currently, we have to learn how to communicate with machines using technologies like screens, keyboards and mice, forcing us to learn new skills and use methods that aren't natural to us. As the holographic platform matures, computers increasingly can use the avatars in the blended world to learn how to communicate with as we communicate with each other. The end result potentially could be a massive breakthrough, not only in human-to-machine communication, but also in human-to-human communication. We currently use computer tools to write to each other, but this will make it easier for us to create the impression of meeting face to face by projecting far more realistic 3D images to remote locations in order to have conversations in real or virtualized environments. Think of being able to have conversations in your living room with relatives in remote locations, while they see you sitting in their living room -- or office meetings where you appear to be in your remote coworker's office and they appear to be in yours, creating a far more natural and personal experience than we have ever had with traditional video conferencing. Imagine being able to chat with Siri or Cortana, not as a headless image on a phone, but like a person, pet or fantasy character -- a character others could see if they were using a device that could peer into your new blended real/virtual world.

După cum a fost promis, Activision a dezvăluit primul trailer oficial pentru Call of Duty®: Black Ops III, jocul pe care studioul Treyarch îl pregăteşte pentru toamna lui 2015. Şi, deşi producătorii promit un joc ce urmează să se va desfăşoare într-un viitor întunecat, în care implanturile tehnologizate şi ultimele descoperiri în domeniul roboticii vor fi utilizate de soldaţii Black Ops, ceea ce vedem în secvenţele de mai jos seamănă un pic prea mult cu Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, titlu lansat de Activision anul trecut. Totuşi, chiar dacă pare să preia stilul artistic şi conceptele de bază ale fratelui mai mare Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty®: Black Ops III promite o noutate majoră pentru serie: campania este în mod special dezvoltată pentru modul de joc cooperativ cu patru personaje, cuvântul de ordine fiind, conform producătorilor, rejucabilitatea. Vor exista în continuare momente unice, scriptate spectaculos, caracteristice seriei Call of Duty, însă, de această dată, acestea vor fi complementate de spaţii exterioare imense, acestea urmând să permită o multitudine de strategii. În plus, fiecare jucător îşi vor putea personaliza eroul, de la arme şi arsenal, la abilităţi şi echipament, prin intermediul sistemului de progresie implementat în acest mod de joc. Black Ops 3 va schimba un pic “regulile jocului” şi în multiplayer-ul competitiv, cea mai importantă modificare adusă de Treyarch fiind noua modalitate de deplasare bazată pe mişcări ce pot fi înlănţuite într-un mod fluent, precum thrust jump, slide şi wall run. Acestea vor permite jucătorilor să se deplaseze cu uşurinţă prin mediul înconjurător, păstrând în acelaşi timp controlul complet asupra armei din dotare. Hărţile multiplayer vor fi special adaptate pentru această nouă modalitate de deplasare, permiţând în acelaşi timp jucătorilor să apeleze în paralel şi la cea tradiţională. Nu în ultimul rând, Treyarch se reîntoarce la modul Zombies şi în Black Ops 3, acesta fiind conceput drept un mod de joc de sine stătător, cu o poveste proprie, separată de tot ceea ce se întâmplă în celelalte componente ale jocului. Conform producătorilor, Black Ops 3 va include cel mai ambiţios mod Zombies de până acum, cu un sistem de progresie separat, gândit pentru a spori rejucabilitatea. Deşi eram obişnuiţi ca noile titluri Call of Duty să fie dezvăluite în fiecare an folosind platforme Xbox, iată că de această dată Activision a ales să prezinte jocul pe toate cele trei platforme pe care îşi va face apariţia în această toamnă: PlayStation 4, Xbox One şi, bineînţeles, PC. Versiunea dedicată consolei Sony va rula folosind rezoluţia 1080p şi 60 de cadre pe secundă, framerate ce va fi utilizat şi de ediţia pentru Xbox One (a cărei rezoluţie nu a fost dezvăluită, însă). În schimb, versiunea pentru PC a lui Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 va oferi suport pentru 4K, primele imagini din joc (pe care le puteţi admira în cadrul acestui articol) fiind livrate în această rezoluţie ameţitoare. De altfel, cei de la Treyarch au ţinut să menţioneze că versiunea pentru PC a jocului nu va fi tratată drept “o simplă portare”, fiecare dintre cele trei ediţii de Black Ops 3 având echipe dedicate care lucrează pentru a optimiza jocul pentru fiecare platformă în parte. Bineînţeles, publisher-ul a motivat această alegere prin faptul că încă nu toţi fanii seriei au făcut trecerea către noua generaţie de console şi trebuie să existe o versiune a jocului de care şi aceştia să se poata bucura. Totuşi, cei de la Activision au ţinut să menţioneze că Treyarch dezvoltă Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 special pentru noua generaţie de hardware (nu a fost dezvăluit studioul responsabil pentru portarea pe PS3 şi Xbox 360), o serie de opţiuni de gameplay urmând să se găsească doar în versiunile pentru PlayStation 4, Xbox One şi PC ale jocului. Un astfel de exemplu este campania din Black Ops 3, abordabilă cooperativ în patru jucători în varianta next gen a jocului, şi care va fi limitată la doar doi jucători în ediţiile pentru PlayStation 3 şi Xbox 360. Call of Duty®: Black Ops III la E3 2015: multiplayer şi parteneriat cu Sony Activision şi Sony Computer Entertainment au detonat bomba la E3 2015. După ani de zile în care seria Call of Duty s-a identificat cu platformele Xbox, acestea primind DLC-urile primele, raportul de forţe s-a schimbat: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 a fost prezent pe scena celor de la Sony, unde s-a anunţat noul parteneriat dintre Activision şi platforma PlayStation. Astfel, începând cu Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, platformele celor de la Sony vor primi pachetele DLC pentru jocurile seriei în premieră, nefiind însă menţionată perioada de exclusivitate (cel mai probabil va fi vorba de o lună de zile, la fel cum a fost şi până acum în cazul consolelor Xbox). De asemenea, cel mai probabil, Sony îşi va putea crea şi comercializa propriile bundle-uri PlayStation 4 cu viitoarele jocuri Call of Duty. Cu această ocazie, cei de la studioul producător Treyarch au prezentat, pe scena Sony, primele secvenţe de gameplay din campania lui Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, jucată în mod cooperativ de către patru persoane. Call of Duty®: Black Ops III – peste 11 minute de gameplay din campania co-op Activision şi studioul Treyarch au oferit peste 11 minute de gameplay din campania cooperativă din Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, probabil cea mai importantă noutate pe care acest joc al seriei o va aduce. Campania din Black Ops 3 va putea fi abordată şi în mod co-op cu patru jucători online, iar soldatul fiecărui jucător va putea fi personalizat în detaliu: de la arme şi echipamente, la abilităţi şi uniforme, toate acestea fiind organizate într-un sistem care progresează în timp. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – când se va desfăşura beta-ul multiplayer După ce a dezvăluit noul mod de joc zombies (Shadows of Evil) pentru Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Activision revine cu noi detalii legate de viitorul titlu al celei mai po[CENSORED]re serii de first person shootere din lume. De această dată este vorba despre sesiunea de testare beta a componentei multiplayer competitiv din joc. Deşi cu ocazia E3 2015 a fost anunţat un nou parteneriat între Activision şi Sony, beta-ul multiplayer pentru Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 se va desfăşura pe toate cele trei platforme “moderne” pentru care urmează să fie lansat jocul: PlayStation 4, Xbox One şi PC. Totuşi, utilizatorii de PlayStation 4 vor avea prioritate, fiiind primii care vor avea ocazia să încerce jocul celor de la Treyarch. Astfel, beta-ul multiplayer pentru Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 va începe pentru PlayStation 4 pe 19 august 2015 şi va continua până duminică, 23 august 2015. Apoi, beta-ul va deveni accesibil şi pentru utilizatorii de Xbox One şi PC începând cu 26 august 2015 şi se va desfăşura până pe 30 august 2015. În cadrul sesiunii de testare beta, jucătorii vor avea ocazia de a încerca multiplayer-ul competitiv din Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, inclusiv noul sistem de specialişti ce va fi introdus de Treyarch în acest joc. De altfel, cei de la Treyarch au promis că vor oferi, în săptămânile ce urmează, mai multe detalii despre ce va avea de oferit beta-ul multiplayer pentru Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Toţi cei care plasează o precomandă pentru Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 vor primi acces garantat în această sesiune de testare beta, indiferent de platforma aleasă (PC, PlayStation 4 sau Xbox One). Call of Duty®: Black Ops III – Zombies se întorc în modul Shadows of Evil IMAGINEA 1 | IMAGINEA 2 | IMAGINEA 3 | IMAGINEA 4 Activision şi studioul Treyarch au dezvăluit, cu ocazia ediţiei 2015 a San Diego Comic-Con, noul mod de joc Zombies ce va fi inclus în Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Denumit Shadows of Evil, acesta îi plasează pe jucători într-o lume total nefamiliară şi terifiantă, cu scopul de a afla secretele unui personaj misterios care îi va supune la tot felul de încercări macabre. Acţiunea are loc în perioda caracteristică curentului cinematrografic cunoscut sub numele de film noir, la începutul anilor '40, intersectând destinele a patru personaje cheie – Magicianul, Femeia Fatală, Poliţistul şi Boxerul – toate având parte de aceeaşi experienţă instrumentată de misteriosul Shadow Man.
