[M]anuel
The historic Japanese coupe is back as the sleek sports car it always was, only now, powered by electricity A surprise for many was the unveiling of the Honda Prelude Concept, an iconic car from the 80s and 90s. The Prelude was something of a "gentleman's coupe," a stroller, incredibly designed and great ride, but not geared toward sportiness like the Honda Integra was. After five generations, the Prelude was discontinued in 2001, being succeeded by the Accord Coupé. Today, Honda is winning our hearts again with a very elegant coupe, with a modern but sober design and that bears the Prelude badge in handwritten letters on the back, as if to make us take it seriously. Of course, nothing is known about the Prelude, not even its features or its platform, but the CEO of Honda gave us a few words: "I've introduced some of the mobility products that represent Honda's dreams. But we know our customers are expecting something more, sports cars. At the electrification presentation of our automotive business last year, I talked about future sports models. Today, to conclude my presentation, I want to show you one of them, a special model, the Prelude Concept. Honda has always been committed to creating sports cars."I've introduced some of the mobility products that represent Honda's dreams. These are big and powerful words for a brand that is slowly remembering its faithful, those who in some way gave life to Honda's blood. After the Civic Type R, NSX and Integra Type S, the new Prelude is going in the right direction and there's no better car that can benefit from going electrified. We'll have to keep an eye out for when the model moves into pre-production.
