It is a fact that, in the absence of a match, Ramón Flores has secured the batting title in the 2021-2022 season of the LVBP and that, with his .417 points, he will become only the sixth player in the history of the circuit that manages to be crowned champion bat with an average above .400.

According to the Leader in Sports review, this feat has only been achieved by Cuban Pablo García, who in the 1946 season (the first of the Venezuelan rented ball) hit .402, wearing the Magallanes Navigators uniform; Víctor Davalillo, who did it in the 1962-1963 campaign with exactly .400.

Later another Magellan, Dave Parker, achieved the historic figure in the 1976-1977 harvest, in which he hit .414, the caraquista Bob Abreu being the next historical with .419 in the 1998-1999 fair, and the last to do so, Alí Castillo, did it with a record included in the most recent campaign (2020-2021) with an astronomical .430.

Flores has been a fundamental factor for Bravos de Margarita to remain in the fight to obtain a place in the Round Robin that starts next Sunday, and that even kept the insulares for a long time disputing the first places of the table with Navegantes, Cardinals and Lions.

As of Sunday's games, the outfielder had participated in 45 games, hitting 63 hits in 151 at-bats.

Flores appeared before Tuesday's game against the La Guaira Sharks as the fourth best hitter with 63 hits, behind Carlos Tocci of the Tigres de Aragua (69), Balbino Fuenmayor of Caribes de Anzoátegui (68) and Wilfredo Tovar (Leones del Caracas), who has 66 uncollectibles.

Likewise, he is first in on-base percentage with .541, while in the OPS he appears in second place with 1,104, behind leader Niuman Romero, who has 1,120.
