After a meeting by the council of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol), it was agreed that the South American Sub-20 Futsal will take place in Venezuela from October 1 to October 9 of the following year.

According to Meridiano, the competition of national teams will join other events scheduled for 2022 in order to develop the sport in its different disciplines, both in the men's and women's fields.

The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), for its part, has not given details about the logistics proposed, whether there will be different stadiums or it will only be a host state for the successful completion of the matches.

"Venezuela will host the South American championship for the third time in its history, after taking place in 2006 and 2013, both times in the city of San Cristóbal, Táchira state," the South American entity stressed at the end of the session.
