[M]anuel
The order book for the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae has been closed. The very interesting limited edition Lamborghini model has sold out. The end of the commercialization of the exclusive supercar symbolizes the end of an era marked by V12 engines. Just a few months ago Lamborghini presented a very interesting as well as an exclusive limited edition supercar in society. A model that was called to dismiss in style, or rather symbolizes, the end of an era. One was marked by powerful V12 engines. Times change and even such elite brands as Lamborghini succumb to electrification. That limited edition model was none other than the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. With a production of only 600 units, it has been offered in coupe and roadster body variants. Now, we know that Lamborghini has definitively closed the order book. The reason? It's already sold out. And the truth is that it is not a surprise since it was clear that, from the moment of its debut, it was called to be the pasture of wealthy collectors and followers of the Italian firm. The V12 engine of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Lamborghini will make a total of 350 units of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae and 250 units of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Roadster. Both models, of course, share technical and mechanical section. The protagonist is none other than a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 gasoline engine that develops a power of 780 hp and 720 Nm of maximum torque associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. This propulsion system enables the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 355 km / h. In addition, it has the driving mode selector that allows you to choose between the Strada, Sport, Corsa and Ego profiles. The Ego mode is new and allows you to modify the configuration of the suspension, steering, traction and even the engine injection maps. The limited edition Ultimae offers us the latest Lamborghini Aventador with a 6.5-liter V12 engine without electric assistance. And, although the V12 engine will have continuity in the Lamborghini range, it will have little or nothing to do with the current mechanics that have not succumbed to the era of electrification. The future of the Lamborghini Aventador goes through electrification The model that will occupy the position of the current Aventador once its departure from the market materializes, will continue to use a V12 engine. However, and unlike the aforementioned Aventador Ultimae, it will bet on electrification with a hybrid scheme. This new model will create a bridge between the current offerings of the brand and future 100% electric models. Recall that earlier this year Lamborghini confirmed that by 2024 its entire product line will be electrified with hybrid technology. The first 100% electric Lamborghini will be ready before the end of this decade.
