[M]anuel Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 After two years of intense development, Bugatti has finally started production of the wild Chiron Super Sport 300+, the most radical version of its 16-cylinder sports car and one of the strongest candidates for the fastest sports car in the world. The French company usually announces the start of production or the beginning of deliveries of each of its models and variants, although as a general rule it is usually limited to presenting promotional material of the first copy. However, on this occasion, Bugatti has decided to announce the departure from its workshops of the first 8 copies of its most radical and powerful version to date, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. For unknown reasons, the French firm has decided not to limit itself to presenting the first of these rare copies and has preferred to simultaneously present the first 8 units of this exclusive limited edition. So the resulting photos make up an entire multi-million dollar family album, with a total cost of several tens of millions of euros, before taxes. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is already part of the history of the French brand, since it is so far the fastest variant developed in Molsheim and one of the fastest models in history, although the truth is that given the special characteristics Of the tests in which its top speed was measured, it could not be homologated and therefore it is not the official record for the fastest sports car in the world. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ was unveiled precisely with the announcement of these tests, carried out in 2019 with one of the first initial prototypes of this long-tail variant of the Bugatti Chiron. In those tests, the prototype managed to reach a top speed of 304.77 mph or 490.84 km / h, which in theory should have set the official speed record for a production vehicle. However, the brand only timed one pass in one direction to the Ehra-Lessien circuit and in order to homologate the record it is necessary to measure two passes in the opposite direction to the same track and take an average with both speeds. link https://www.motor.es/noticias/bugatti-chiron-super-sport-300-produccion-oficial-202181473.html
