Avatar dimensions - last decision!

Hello,

 

I tried to find more info about the dimensions of our avatars, (here in forum), and we have 2 options:

1. Avatars in IPS are cropped to a square, so the width and height should always be the same. ( 200x200px)
2. Rounded Photos

Am incercat sa gasesc mai multe informatii despre dimensiunile avatarelor noastre (aici in forum), si avem 2 optiuni:

• Avatarele din IPS sunt decupate într-un pătrat, astfel încât lățimea și înălțimea ar trebui să fie întotdeauna aceleași. (200x200px)
• Imagini rotunjite

Before you vote, make sure you know why because for us, the Designers, it's important. Keep in mind:

ROUND

• Round avatars doesn't allow you to have on your avatar a border. (or a custom one)
• Round avatars will automatically lose your image's quality because they are resized again.
• Their proper size from 200x200 is 174x174px.
• Round avatars will not show you the full 200x200 image.

SQUARE

• You can put a border on square avatars.
• They don't resize and they look perfectly normal as how you made the image to be.
• Square avatars will always show you the full 200x200px as long as you made your image 200x200.
• It's bigger than the round avatar, so you will see more (in-depth) textures, colors, texts and effects.

I will vote square because I know my image won't resize the moment one user puts my image on his avatar. And I know that will look beautiful. That's my principal reason.
