OyaYansa
Google has been putting unencrypted sites on the ropes for some time. Now, the Mountain View company goes a step further: starting next July, Chrome will tag all HTTP webs unencrypted as unsafe. This is an attempt to favor the transition to HTTPS pages that add to other measures that are already underway, such as penalization in search results. In January 2017, Chrome 56 began to mark HTTP pages where private data such as passwords, bank cards or other sensitive information such as unsafe webs are entered, in order to alert visitors that the site is not encrypted and that, therefore, the information is susceptible to being stolen by an attacker. Version 62 of Google Chrome introduced new security improvements oriented in this same way. In this update, the browser extended the warning in Incognito Mode to all HTTP pages, although in normal mode it was still displayed next to the information icon. What Google has announced is that from next July, the update Chrome 68 will extend the warnings also to the normal browser mode. As you can see in the image a little above, what will happen is that next to the information icon the user will be able to clearly know that he / she is in an unsecured unsecured page. These types of measures favor that the developers encrypt their websites. According to Google data, last year's progress was very good and currently more than 68% of Chrome traffic on Android and Windows is now protected, and more than 78% in the case of Chrome OS and Mac.
