  2. The ever-changing landscape of the smartphone industry in India is always surprising. This year, there have been plenty of changes and several newcomers in some segments to make for a very interesting mix of devices for eager buyers to choose from. While most regulars like Xiaomi and Realme have seen a handful of launches in the budget segment, brands like Motorola and Infinix have gone in all guns blazing. Xiaomi has been making headway into the higher end of the budget range and the mid-range instead. The battle between Samsung and OnePlus has never been bigger than 2023, when OnePlus launched its first book-style foldable, the Open, late this year (after several delays). Brands like Oppo and Motorola took things a step up with foldables and premium smartphone offerings, while Samsung took it relatively easy with the same, but delivered a rather capable camera-focused flagship with its Galaxy S23 Ultra. Google ushered in the age of AI on smartphones, but definitely missed out on the β€˜folding' bit in India, which has seen its fair share of buyers this year. And with so much choice and variety in certain segments, it gets equally hard to pick and choose the right smartphone. Unfortunately, not all the smartphones that we have reviewed over the past year have managed good scores as per our ratings. Fortunately, there are several that stood out, and basically managed to deliver what was expected from them. So, we have come up with a list of devices (in no particular order) which we consider to be the best at what they do. If you are looking to bring in the new year with a brand new smartphone, or have been a bit unsure about switching to a new device type or segment, this one's for you! https://www.gadgets360.com/mobiles/guide/best-mobile-phone-2023-4764300
  3. These are the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G - yes, plural because we have two of them - the Glossy White, and the Neon Green versions. Despite its $190 asking price the Spark 20 Pro 5G ships with a full set of accessories - a 33W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a case, and wired USB-C earbuds. Here's a specs overview of the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G. Upfront is a 6.78-inch 1080x2460px 120Hz IPS LCD, ticking inside is a 6nm Dimensity 6080 with 8GB of RAM, and the phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery. There are three cameras in total - a 108MP main camera with a 2MP macro on the back. Upfront is an 8MP selfie with a dual-color temperature flash. The white Spark 20 Pro has a composite material back panel with a frozen-river-like texture under the smooth surface. 4. AMD's next-gen Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs based on the Zen 5 core architecture have started being listed online ahead of their July launch. AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPU Prices Hinted In Early Retail Listings, Around $600 US For Flagship Ryzen 9 9950X "Zen 5" Chip? At Computex 2024, AMD unveiled its Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPU family based on the Zen 5 core architecture along with the respective X870E/X870 motherboards. These chips will feature the support on existing and upcoming AM5 motherboards but the lineup will offer some huge CPU performance enhancements over their predecessors with a 16% IPC uplift right out of the box. During the launch, AMD introduced four Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs chips, the Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and the Ryzen 5 9600X. All four have the same core counts as their predecessors at 16, 12, 8, and 6. Now, retailers worldwide have started to list these chips in their online stores and while the prices are preliminary, they look similar to or lower than the Zen 4 parts. Starting with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, Canada Computers has listed the chip for CAD 839.00 which is lower than the CAD 939.00 MSRP of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (the chip is currently listed for CAD 719.00 which converts to $522 US and we have seen it available under $500 US recently). The CAD 839.00 pricing converts to $610 US which is $90 US lower than the MSRP of the Ryzen 9 7950X which cost $699 US at launch and was replaced by the Ryzen 9 7950X3D at the same price but that chip is currently also available close to $500 US. Ryzen 9 9950X - CAD 839.00 ($610 US) Besides Canada Computers, Bermorzone, a retailer based in the Philippines has also listed the preliminary prices for the entire Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPU lineup. The prices are as follows: Ryzen 9 9950X - 38,000 Pesos ($647.93 US) Ryzen 9 9900X - 35,000 Pesos ($596.77 US) Ryzen 7 9700X - 24,000 Pesos ($409.21 US) Ryzen 5 9600X - 18,500 Pesos ($315.43 US) Previous rumors have also stated that the pricing of Ryzen 9000 CPUs will be similar to the Ryzen 7000 lineup though while the preliminary listings make that statement seem clear for the 9900X, 9700X, 9600X, it looks like the flagship 9950X might come at a much lower price though that's just our speculation and we wouldn't want to commit to anything that's based on unofficial reports. AMD has so far officially confirmed that the Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs will be hitting retail shelves in July however certain retailers such as B&H are stating that only pre-orders will be starting on the 31st of July at 9 AM (ET). We can say for sure that the AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPU reviews will be published in the coming month so stay tuned for the full performance and efficiency disclosure. MD itself said that while the Ryzen 9000 CPUs bring a huge performance uplift, the current 3D V-Cache chips will remain king in gaming but the difference will be really small. So we can expect the next-generation Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs to take the performance envelope further up when they are introduced in the second half of this year. 5. EA has been giving us info all week by allowing those who got to play the game a chance to give their thoughts, but EA itself took center stage today by releasing a deep dive gameplay blog and gameplay trailer. I’m not going to try and tackle every single thing mentioned in the gameplay blog, but I do want to give some of my general impressions after reading through everything this week and watching the trailer today. It’s mostly good vibes and feelings, but I’ll be mixing in the good and the bad here. Wear And Tear It will come down to balance as most gameplay mechanics do in sports games, but it’s long overdue that an EA football game β€” a sport defined by injuries more than any other β€” tries to figure out a way implement injuries and the give and take going on throughout a game and season. If your quarterback has thrown the ball 40+ times in a game and has taken some shots, don’t expect him to be at 100% the following week in Dynasty or Road To Glory. Subtle gameplay components such as getting the ball out early, covering the ball, and just getting out of bounds will be as important as ever. The big β€œnew” thing noticed here is that β€œwear and tear” matters throughout the season. A heavy workload one week means you’re coming in the following week not at 100 percent. It’s probably going to be hard to notice how much covering the ball or running out of bounds is saving you β€” you take vitamin C and don’t get sick, but you can’t really measure how much the vitamin C is helping β€” but even putting things like that into your mind is a big deal. A lot of the times there are small mechanics in sports games that just never get used because you don’t think they matter at all. Small tactical things like covering the ball go overlooked, but if something like this injury system can get you thinking about that sort of stuff, it’s a win in that way as well. Disguising Coverages, Finally It will be a theme throughout this article, but I want to be clear that this longer development period feels like it was finally a chance for a soft reset. I can chalk that up to new faces getting a look at things, an extended period of development, or just everyone believing college football has to feel different. I’m sure it’s not any one thing, but a lot of the gameplay blog was filled with these sorts of impactful but logical changes a lot of us on OS have been asking about for years. It’s a focus on legacy issues that more hardcore people talk about rather than the casual fan. And, again, I don’t mean to say that as an elitist, it’s more just to say it’s a focus on smaller football things that don’t always get talked about during a TV broadcast. Disguising a coverage is one of these things. It’s something you can sort of do at times in Madden with fake press coverages or showing blitz when you’re not going to blitz, and the now-removed base align. But here we’ll actually be able to disguise coverages in the ways you should be able to based on your safety looks and such. Football problems require football solutions. With the removal of base alignment, we wanted to put our time and effort into improving alignment, along with giving players the ability to disguise your coverages. This is the addition to the chess match that our core fans have been asking for. I’m not going to get into all the issues with base align through the years in terms of certain coverages being sort of broken when you would use it and so on because my hope here is disguising a coverage will be more granular now. This means we’ll have better control and fewer issues with certain coverages just busting all the time because you faked a coverage. https://www.operationsports.com/ea-sports-college-football-25-gameplay-deep-dive/
