Resident Evil 4 fans expected to pay around $60 for the remake on platforms like Steam and PS5, but it turns out you'll be shelling out that much (or more) if you buy it on mobile, too. As IGN reports, full pricing info for the game, which is expected to launch later this year, is listed in the βIn-App Purchasesβ section of the product page. The base game will cost $60 while upgrading to the Deluxe Edition will set you back another $20. The game also features several in-app purchases that allow players to obtain weapon upgrade tickets to use in the game. The App Store listing says: βA limited part of the base game can be played for free. In order to play the full game, an in-app purchase is required.β You'll also need Apple's top-of-the-line devices. System requirements for iPhone are iOS 17 or later and a device with the A17 Pro chip, which means an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max. On iPad, you'll need iPadOS 17 and a tablet with an M1 chip, while Macs need at least macOS Ventura and an M1 chip. The game does support universal purchase, so if you buy it on the App Store for your iPhone, it will be playable on the iPad and Mac. Although itβs not a requirement to play the game, the App Store does suggest that a controller, like the Backbone One may be used βfor the best experience." If you donβt have a controller, this will increase the overall price of playing on your iPhone. While many gamers might think paying up to $80 for a mobile game is too much, Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto has suggested that game prices are still too low due to increased development costs, despite costs increasing following the release of the Xbox Series X/S and PS5, Nikkei reports (via Kotaku). There is currently no official release date set for Resident Evil 4 on the App Store. The description says Dec. 31, but also: βCurrently, a placeholder date is listed as the release date on the App Store. The official release date will be announced at a later date.β (As IGN notes, Resident Evil Village for the iPhone 15 Pro launches on Oct. 30.) If you're considering upgrading to the Deluxe Edition, here are the extras you can expect: Ts : https://me.pcmag.com/en/mobile-games/19537/resident-evil-4-remake-will-cost-at-least-60-to-play-on-iphone-15-pro

There is no perfect programming language. Therefore, a new language gains po[CENSORED]rity every few years to satisfy the needs of the time. For instance, the C programming language dominated the 1990s and saw little competition for a while. Later, as time and community demand changed, Python gained po[CENSORED]rity because of its vast benefits over C, and finally, JavaScript took the stage. Everyone now appears to be talking about the groundbreaking technology known as JavaScript. This post talks about the disadvantages and advantages of JavaScript. Advantages of JavaScript Letβs start off with the benefits of JavaScript that make it superior to other programming languages. Speed Reduces load on the server Ease of use Rich Interface Versatility Extended functionality Interoperability Po[CENSORED]rity Platform independence Powerful frameworks Procedural programming features Response to user activity Updates Speed JavaScript is an βinterpretedβ language, so it cuts down on the time needed for compilation in other languages like Java. Additionally, it is a client-side script that shortens the time required to establish a server connection, which speeds up program execution. Reduces Load on the Server The language runs on the client side rather than the server. Thus, the server doesnβt have to deal with the stress of executing JavaScript. Once this burden is reduced, the server will function more quickly and concentrate on other tasks like data management. Ease of Use JavaScript is one of the simplest languages to learn, particularly for web programming. It has been designed to be simple for web developers to understand and use. Since difficult languages have fewer engineers and demand a higher budget, this helps web companies save a lot of money on development. Rich Interface JavaScript offers developers a variety of interfaces to build engaging websites. Websites with drag-and-drop elements or sliders may have a more robust user experience. This increases user interaction with the website. Versatile The versatility of JavaScript is its most valuable quality. There are many different ways to integrate it into your website. Since Node.js integrates effectively with MongoDB and MySQL, it can not only build and finish the front end of the website but also handle its back end. Extended Functionality To save time and money, third-party add-ons such as Greasemonkey (a Mozilla Firefox extension) enable developers to incorporate small sections of prefabricated code into their code. These add-ons make it easier and faster for developers to create JavaScript applications than they could with other coding languages. Interoperability JavaScript seamlessly integrates with other programming languages, so many developers favour using it to create various apps. Any webpage or script of another computer language can incorporate it. Po[CENSORED]rity JavaScript is one of the most po[CENSORED]r languages for web development. It is an important factor for every working website. Even the most po[CENSORED]r websites worldwide, including Amazon and Google, use JavaScript since it is regarded as a very powerful technology. Due to its steadily growing po[CENSORED]rity, it is now simpler than ever to learn this language online through various courses. Independent Platform Most browsers support JavaScript, making it simple for any browser to comprehend and recognise JavaScript code. You donβt need to go through any installation or setup procedures because it is an easily available technology. Simply use your browser to create several webpage editing zones. JavaScript Has Powerful Frameworks Around JavaScript, many commanding frameworks display ready-to-use codes. Such codes are all easy to comprehend and troubleshoot. Depending on the structure in question, you will have access to several additional capabilities that will exponentially increase your efficiency. JavaScript Provides Procedural Programming Features Despite being easy to learn, the language has all the characteristics that make it a po[CENSORED]r and significant programming language. JavaScript allows you to create branches, start conditional checking, start loops, and much more, making using your website a lot more fun. JavaScript Codes Are Activated in Response to User Activity JavaScript is an Event-Based coding language. This means that various code segments are run after a user clicks a button. As a result, when the website loads, none of the code is initialised. By doing this, you can be certain that your websiteβs load time wonβt be at risk as you load it with high-end features. Updates Since the release of ECMAScript 5, the scripting specification on which JavaScript is based, ECMA International has prioritised updating JavaScript annually. 13 editions of features have been released since 1997. The JavaScript family now includes the ES2022 features that have passed stage 4 verification. Disadvantages of JavaScript Itβs not always the best practice to use JavaScript when developing online applications. In many circumstances, JavaScript might not function as well as some of the other languages. The issues with JavaScript have been briefly discussed in this section. Client-side security Debugging facilities Browser support Bitwise function Rendering Problems Client-side Security Since the user can see the JavaScript code, others could misuse it. These actions can involve using the source code anonymously. Additionally, it is relatively simple to insert code into the website that jeopardises the security of data transmitted through the website. Insufficient Debugging Facilities While some HTML editors provide debugging, they are less efficient than C or C++ editors. Additionally, because the browser doesnβt provide any errors, the developer has trouble identifying the problem. Browser Support JavaScript is interpreted differently by each browser. The code must therefore run across a variety of systems before being published. Since they do not support some new functions, we also need to look at the older browsers. Sluggish Bitwise Function JavaScript operates on 32-bit bitwise operands and stores numbers as 64-bit floating-point numbers. JavaScript performs operations on the 32-bit signed integers before converting them back to 64-bit JavaScript numbers. The process of converting a number to an integer continuously requires more time. As a result, the script runs slower and requires more time to execute. Rendering Problems The websiteβs entire JavaScript code can stop rendering due to a single error in the code. It appears to the user as though JavaScript is absent. The browsers, however, are very tolerant of these mistakes. Conclusion Every programming language has its pros and cons, and so does JavaScript. You can always use the language to your benefit, but there will always be some shortcomings. It is better to understand the disadvantages of the language you use to avoid errors in your project. 5 Day Coding Challenge β learn JavaScript basics Code Instituteβs free 5 Day Coding Challenge can offer you some insights into HTML, CSS & JavaScript. With the addition of the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, along with the RX 7700 XT, Acer is finally offering some truly top tier graphics cards. Acer surprised many of us when it decided to enter the discrete graphics card market a few years ago. However, its first offerings were based on Intel GPUs that, with the best will in the world, werenβt the most in-demand options. Since then itβs added the entry-level AMD Radeon RX 7600 and RX 7900 GRE but has otherwise maintained a modest selection. Now, though, the company has really ramped up its offerings, by bringing out Acer Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT cards. While the RX 7700 XT isnβt our absolute favorite GPU, thatβs only because its slightly more powerful sibling the RX 7800 XT is the better choice of these AMD GPUs, and our pick for the best graphics card under $500. With this card in particular, Acer could finally make some major inroads into the discrete graphics card space. The company has two variants of the RX 7800 XT coming out, along with a single version of the RX 7700 XT. These consist of the Acer Radeon RX 7800 XT BiFrost, the RX 7800 XT Nitro, and the RXThe BiFrost version of the 7800 XT has a triple-fan cooling setup thatβs much longer than the Nitroβs cooler, with the latter employing just two fans. The BiFrost β a name also attached to several of its previous cards, such as the Intel Arc A770 BiFrost β also has a fetching all-black design with a black bac plate, and blue Predator logo on the top. Its GPU is the standard AMD Radeon 7800 XT with 3,840 stream processors, but it has a reasonable overclock, with its boost clock hitting 2,560MHz, compared to 2,430MHz for non-overclocked cards. Despite this boost, the huge triple-slot cooler should ensure itβs a very quiet, cool-running card, even under heavy loads. The Nitro card is likely to be the complete opposite, with its much shorter cooler being not as thick and generally having far less heat capacity. That means the fans will need to run a lot faster to keep the card cool. Thatβs why it costs $50 less than the BiFrost design, though. So, if youβre not too fussed about heat and noise, itβll be the cheaper option at $519.99 while the BiFrost costs $569.99. Both are on the higher side of pricing for 7800 XT cards, but both include the decent factory overclock. As for the 7700 XT Nitro, it uses the same cooler design as the 7800 XT Nitro but, thanks to the 7700 XT GPU being a little less power hungry, the cooler will cope better with the reduced heat output of the card. This card arrives with a much more modest $419.99 MSRP. In terms of raw specs, this card has the standard 3,456 stream processors of the RX 7700 XT and comes with a very slight boost overclock of 2,590MHz, compared to 2,545MHz for non-overclocked cards. If youβre not convinced by AMDβs GPU offerings right now, though, we recommend checking out the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super. Itβs a little more expensive than the 7800 XT but has better ray tracing performance and DLSS support. Donald Trump is close to running out of time in his last-ditch bid to stave off the historic stigma of being the first former president to go on criminal trial next week. The presumptive Republican nominee suffered yet another courtroom defeat on Monday in an attempt to delay his hush money trial and move it out of Manhattan. His latest legal defeat moves him β and the nation β to the threshold of a divisive spectacle that will further strain the justice and political systems and that could have an unpredictable impact on Novemberβs election. This case, which stems from payments to an adult film actress ahead of the 2016 election, is just one of four criminal cases against the former president. He has pleaded not guilty in all cases against him. As his legal options narrow, Trumpβs attacks on the judge in the New York case and those involved in his other looming trials and his wild claims that heβs the victim of political persecution are getting ever more extreme. In a dark Truth Social post over the weekend, Trump wondered how many βcorruptβ judges heβd have to βendure before somebody steps in?β And in a fundraising email, the ex-president slammed his βsham trialβ and warned βall hell will break looseβ unless he got a new injection of financial support. Judge Juan Merchan, who will preside over the case, last week expanded a gag order on Trump after he named the judgeβs daughter and attacked her on social media. Now the ex-president is complaining on his Truth Social network that Merchan is βtaking away my First Amendment Rights.β Trumpβs escalating efforts to delegitimize the New York trial before it starts came as CNN obtained the jury questionnaire in the case, which reflects the unusual political context of this trial. Potential jurors will be quizzed about where they get their news, if theyβve been to a Trump rally and whether they have been a member of an extremist group like the Proud Boys. They will also be asked about their feelings about the former president but not about what political party they belong to or who theyβve voted for. This is consistent with attempts before all trials to ensure jurors can be fair and impartial in judging a case based on the evidence rather than their political views or prejudices. Prosecutors in the case are not trying to prove that a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016 was illegal. Rather they will tell the jury that the ex-president falsified business records to cover it up, in an attempt to mislead voters before the 2016 election. But some critics of the case see the idea that itβs about election interference as a stretch. And if thereβs one of the four criminal trials that Trump would prefer to take place first, itβs this one. The delays in multiple cases surrounding Trump are often caused by him exercising his rights as a defendant to exhaust the full extent of his right to appeals. But there is a clear trend of him using frivolous legal challenges to slow the road to trials. With only four weekdays until the New York trial begins, the chances that it will be further delayed are fading fast. Still, Trump is one of the most prolific litigants in modern history and given the political incentives for him to dodge accountability, more long-shot legal challenges canβt be ruled out. If he canβt delay the opening of the trial on April 15, he will spend four days a week confined to a courtroom β leaving the campaign trail open to his rival, President Joe Biden. But the ex-president sought to mitigate one of his key vulnerabilities in the race on Monday, declaring that abortion β a potentially defining general election question β should be left to the states. Biden was having none of it, saying his predecessor couldnβt be trusted not to sign a federal ban if one ever passed Congress, adding at a Chicago fundraiser, βTrump is in trouble, and he knows it. Heβs worried voters will hold him accountable.β Special counsel tries to thwart another Trump delaying tactic In Washington, special counsel Jack Smith filed his latest brief to the Supreme Court Monday, designed to derail Trumpβs sweeping claim of presidential immunity that has delayed the start of his federal election interference trial. Trump is arguing that the office of the presidency would be neutered if occupants can face criminal prosecution for their actions once they have left office. But Smith pushed back against this argument, which would implicitly mean that presidents have unchecked power. βThe effective functioning of the presidency does not require that a former president be immune from accountability for these alleged violations of federal criminal law,β Smith wrote. βTo the contrary, a bedrock principle of our constitutional order is that no person is above the law β including the president.β Smith also sought to short circuit another Trump gambit β a suggestion to the Supreme Court that the justices could send the case back to the lower courts for more arguments if they find that a president enjoys only partial immunity. Such a move would delay the trial for many months β certainly until after the election. If heβs reelected, Trump would regain presidential powers that would allow him to stall or even end the federal case against him completely. The Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case on April 25, and a decision is expected by July. Smithβs attempts to bring the ex-president before a jury are also being frustrated in Florida, where Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon has been accused by many legal scholars of slow-rolling the forthcoming trial over the ex-presidentβs hoarding of classified documents.Trump is making a fresh effort to gum up his election interference trial in Georgia, part of his consistent efforts to try to prevent the other cases in which heβs been indicted from going forward before Novemberβs election. Trumpβs lawyers want the stateβs court of appeals to decide that his effort to pressure local officials to overturn his 2020 election loss was merely an exercise of his free speech. βThere is no democracy without robust and uninhibited freedom of expression,β Trump attorney Steve Sadow said in a statement. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has already refused to dismiss the case on the notion that Trumpβs actions were protected free speech. Trumpβs critics are likely to view his latest gambit as a typically obtuse counter factual argument that he was not trying to destroy democracy but to save it. How Trump is trying to politicize jury trials The key decision in the New York case on Monday centered on a claim by the former Republican presidentβs attorneys that their client cannot get a fair trial in the city where he made his name, and which is overwhelmingly liberal. Associate Justice Lizbeth GonzΓ‘lez Monday denied the motion to stop the trial while the issue is hashed out and said there would be no further arguments on the question. Trumpβs strategy is not new β heβs previously made similar claims about the fairness of being tried in Washington, DC, another liberal city. Prosecutors, however, typically bring charges in a jurisdiction where an alleged offense took place. And if taken to its logical extremes, the ex-presidentβs arguments would mean that a political figure could only be tried in a location where a potential jury pool would be filled by people likely to vote for them. Such a scenario would politicize the entire legal system and threaten the principle that everyone is equal under the law β even and especially former and possibly future presidents. During his barnstorming Republican primary campaign, Trump was effective in turning his four indictments to his advantage, wielding the idea that he was a victim of politicized justice to gather the GOP base around him and squeeze out his rivals. One of the biggest questions of this campaign will be whether the reality of a president on trial has a similar impact among a general electorate or whether it will spark a backlash against Trump, especially if he is found guilty. The donkey is a domesticated equine. It derives from the African wild ass, Equus africanus, and may be classified either as a subspecies thereof, Equus africanus asinus, or as a separate species, Equus asinus.[1]: 1 It was domesticated in Africa some 5000β7000 years ago,[1]: 2 [2]: 3715 [3] and has been used mainly as a working animal since that time. There are more than 40 million donkeys in the world, mostly in underdeveloped countries, where they are used principally as draught or pack animals. While working donkeys are often associated with those living at or below subsistence, small numbers of donkeys or asses are kept for breeding or as pets in developed countries. An adult male donkey is a jack or jackass, an adult female is a jenny or jennet,[4][5][6] and an immature donkey of either sex is a foal.[6] Jacks are often mated with female horses (mares) to produce mules; the less common hybrid of a male horse (stallion) and jenny is a hinny. Nomenclature Traditionally, the scientific name for the donkey is Equus asinus asinus, on the basis of the principle of priority used for scientific names of animals. However, the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature ruled in 2003 that if the domestic and the wild species are considered subspecies of a common species, the scientific name of the wild species has priority, even when that subspecies was described after the domestic subspecies.[7] This means that the proper scientific name for the donkey is Equus africanus asinus when it is considered a subspecies and Equus asinus when it is considered a species.[8][7] At one time, the synonym ass was the more common term for the donkey. The first recorded use of donkey was in either 1784[9] or 1785.[10][11][12]: 239 While the word ass has cognates in most other Indo-European languages, donkey is an etymologically obscure word for which no credible cognate has been identified. Hypotheses on its derivation include the following: perhaps from Spanish for its don-like gravity; the donkey was also known as "the King of Spain's trumpeter".[11] perhaps a diminutive of dun (dull grayish-brown), a typical donkey colour.[10][13] perhaps from the name Duncan.[10][14] perhaps of imitative origin.[14] From the 18th century, donkey gradually replaced ass and jenny replaced she-ass, which is now considered archaic.[15] The change may have come about through a tendency to avoid pejorative terms in speech and may be comparable to the substitution in North American English of rooster for cock, or that of rabbit for coney, which was formerly homophonic with cunny (a variation of the word cunt). By the end of the 17th century, changes in pronunciation of both ass and arse had caused them to become homophones in some varieties of English.[12]: 239 Other words used for the ass in English from this time include cuddy in Scotland, neddy in southwestern England and dicky in southeastern England;[12]: 239 moke is documented in the 19th century and may be of Welsh or Romani origin. Burro is a word for donkey in both Spanish and Portuguese. In the United States, it is commonly applied to the feral donkeys that live west of the Rocky Mountains;[16] it may also refer to any small donkey.[17]: 147The genus Equus, which includes all extant equines, is believed to have evolved from Dinohippus, via the intermediate form Plesippus. One of the oldest species is Equus simplicidens, described as zebra-like with a donkey-shaped head. The oldest fossil to date is ~3.5 million years old from Idaho, USA. The genus appears to have spread quickly into the Old World, with the similarly aged Equus livenzovensis documented from western Europe and Russia.[18] Molecular phylogenies indicate the most recent common ancestor of all modern equids (members of the genus Equus) lived ~5.6 (3.9β7.8) mya. Direct paleogenomic sequencing of a 700,000-year-old middle Pleistocene horse metapodial bone from Canada implies a more recent 4.07 Myr before present date for the most recent common ancestor (MRCA) within the range of 4.0 to 4.5 Myr BP.[19] The oldest divergencies are the Asian hemiones (subgenus E. (Asinus), including the kulan, onager, and kiang), followed by the African zebras (subgenera E. (Dolichohippus), and E. (Hippotigris)). All other modern forms including the domesticated horse (and many fossil Pliocene and Pleistocene forms) belong to the subgenus E. (Equus) which diverged ~4.8 (3.2β6.5) million years ago.[20] The ancestors of the modern donkey are the Nubian and Somalian subspecies of African wild ass.[21][22][23] Remains of domestic donkeys dating to the fourth millennium BC have been found in Ma'adi in Lower Egypt, and it is believed that the domestication of the donkey was accomplished long after the domestication of cattle, sheep and goats in the seventh and eighth millennia BC. Donkeys were probably first domesticated by pastoral people in Nubia, and they supplanted the ox as the chief pack animal of that culture. The domestication of donkeys served to increase the mobility of pastoral cultures, having the advantage over ruminants of not needing time to chew their cud, and were vital in the development of long-distance trade across Egypt. In the Dynasty IV era of Egypt, between 2675 and 2565 BC, wealthy members of society were known to own over 1,000 donkeys, employed in agriculture, as dairy and meat animals and as pack animals.[24] In 2003, the tomb of either King Narmer or King Hor-Aha (two of the first Egyptian pharaohs) was excavated and the skeletons of ten donkeys were found buried in a manner usually used with high ranking humans. These burials show the importance of donkeys to the early Egyptian state and its ruler.[25] By the end of the fourth millennium BC, the donkey had spread to Southwest Asia, and the main breeding centre had shifted to Mesopotamia by 1800 BC. The breeding of large, white riding asses made Damascus famous[citation needed], while Syrian breeders developed at least three other breeds, including one preferred by women for its easy gait. The Muscat or Yemen ass was developed in Arabia. By the second millennium BC, the donkey was brought to Europe, possibly at the same time as viticulture was introduced, as the donkey is associated with the Syrian god of wine, Dionysus. Greeks spread both of these to many of their colonies, including those in what are now Italy, France and Spain; Romans dispersed them throughout their empire.[24] The first donkeys came to the Americas on ships of the Second Voyage of Christopher Columbus, and were landed at Hispaniola in 1495.[26] The first to reach North America may have been two animals taken to Mexico by Juan de ZumΓ‘rraga, the first bishop of Mexico, who arrived there on 6 December 1528, while the first donkeys to reach what is now the United States may have crossed the Rio Grande with Juan de OΓ±ate in April 1598.[27] From that time on they spread northward, finding use in missions and mines. Donkeys were documented as present in what today is Arizona in 1679. By the Gold Rush years of the 19th century, the burro was the beast of burden of choice of early prospectors in the western United States. With the end of the placer mining boom, many of them escaped or were abandoned, and a feral po[CENSORED]tion established itself. Conservation status About 41 million donkeys were reported worldwide in 2006.[28] China had the most with 11 million, followed by Pakistan, Ethiopia and Mexico. As of 2017, however, the Chinese po[CENSORED]tion was reported to have dropped to 3 million, with African po[CENSORED]tions under pressure as well, due to increasing trade and demand for donkey products in China.[29] Some researchers believe the actual number may be somewhat higher since many donkeys go uncounted.[30] The number of breeds and percentage of world po[CENSORED]tion for each of the FAO's world regions was in Topic Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey

Kia has just revealed as much of its future plans as strategically possible to its investor group this week, which means we get a public look into what new cars we can expect coming down the pipeline in the next few years, out through 2027. The Korean automaker is planning to have at least 15 fully electric cars on sale by then, with at least six new hybrid models also to be introduced in the meantime. These plans include previously announced cars and SUVs like the Kia EV3, EV4, and EV5, and likely refer to upcoming reveals including an EV6 refresh, compact EV2, and EV8 flagship sport sedan. Here's everything we know from the company's new presentation.Despite already being on sale elsewhere, the new Kia EV5 SUV is not going on sale in the U.S. this year, but the company's report indicates it could be in the future: "Kia will launch six EV models by 2026, starting with the upcoming EV3 in 2024, followed by EV2, EV4, and EV5 in major markets, including the U.S., Europe, and South Korea." For 2025 and forward, what's now expected to be an affordable compact EV2 model sounds enticing, as does the reportedly leaked EV8 all-electric Kia Stinger sedan replacement. According to Kia documents, three all-new EVs were introduced globally in 2023 (we think Kia means the new Niro EV, EV5, and EV9), one new EV is planned for this year with the production launch of the EV3, and then there will be five new global EV launches in 2025, an additional EV on offer in 2026, and then two more in 2027. Two additional new EVs will be PBVs, or personal business vehicles designed for commercial uses which Kia announced at CES earlier this year, with one coming in 2025 and another in 2027.At least one, maybe two electric pickup trucks (beyond a modified version of Kia's new PBV platform that can also be a trucklet) have been reported to be in development (said to be one for the U.S. and one in other markets), for launch by 2027. That leaves a few so-far unannounced mystery EVs out there for us to ponder. Find a car near you Existing gas and electric models will also get attention, with a refreshed EV6 SUV set for later in 2024 and a performance-oriented Kia EV9 GT trim coming in early 2025. A refreshed Kia Sportage SUV is also due this year, and there's supposed to be six hybrid models on sale by the end of 2024; Niro, Sportage, and Sorento hybrids are already on sale. Kia now says most of its major nameplates will get a hybrid option at least, sometime in the next few years. Additionally, the report today outlines development of next-generation hybrid powertrains for even more future models. The hybrid lineup will expand to nine electrified models offered by 2028. By the end of the decade, Kia hopes for a U.S. sales mix of 40 percent EVs and 35 percent hybrids (pending market or plan changes, and that'll be with a larger lineup and likely growth in sales, so the final mix could change). Arsenal v Bayern Munich: Can Harry Kane haunt Gunners again in Champions League last eight? The Gunners host Bayern in Tuesday's quarter-final first leg. The 30-year-old has scored more Premier League goals against Arsenal than anybody else - with 14 strikes. Five of those came at the Emirates, which is the joint most for a non-Arsenal player. Kane has enjoyed a record-breaking start in Germany with 38 goals in his first 37 games. He is running away with the European Golden Shoe, the competition for the top scorer in any of Europe's top divisions and one he has never won before, with 32 goals to date. The England captain is only the fourth player to reach that total in a Bundesliga campaign, after Bayern legends Gerd Muller and Robert Lewandowski, who did it three times each, and Cologne's Dieter Muller. Arsenal should not fear Kane, says Odegaard Listen to the latest Football Daily podcast The record for goals in a Bundesliga season was Lewandowski's 41 for Bayern in 2020-21, a record Kane would need 10 goals in his final six games to break. "He will win the European Golden Shoe this year and all this will add to the perception that, yes, he is a fantastic striker," said European football journalist Guillem Balague on BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro Leagues Show. "He breaks the record of Lewandowski and we start talking about legendary status. "He has adapted so quickly. His four kids and wife are there, he is trying to learn German. He has jumped out of the comfort zone and into the pressure cooker and is still doing well." On top of that, nobody has scored more Champions League goals this season than Kane's six. The competition may be Kane's best chance of winning his first major trophy, having won nothing during his decade in the Tottenham first team. He moved to a team which had won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles but they sit 16 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen with six games to go. If Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen on Sunday it will be the first time since the start of April 2013 that Bayern have not been the champions of Germany - and it could even be confirmed on Saturday if Thomas Tuchel's side suffer an unlikely defeat at home to second-bottom Cologne. "If Kane had more titles he would be seen in a different way to everyone - the proof of it is the Ballon d'Or," said Balague. "That shows you how po[CENSORED]r you are and he has never finished higher than 10th. No doubt now, he is at a top club, trying to win things at a top club and is delivering." European football writer Mina Rzouki said: "How easy it has seemed for Harry Kane. Bayern have struggled at times this season but he has come in and taken to it like a duck to water. It would be a real shame if he didn't win anything." Topic Source : https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68675954

Before you even start cleaning, give yourself 10 minutes to go from room to room and pick up the clutter. As you pick up each item, consider whether you should put it away, toss it or donate it. If you have any clothes lying around, decide whether to store them in your closet, drop them off in the laundry basket or run the washing machine while you clean the rest of the house. Having a place for everything helps make the process much quicker. [2] 3. Gather all your cleaning supplies. Whether itβs a caddy, bucket or tote, having all the cleaning products you need in one portable place makes it much easier to get the job done. You wonβt waste time looking for supplies while you clean and wonβt have to worry about gathering them before you clean next. 4. Start cleaning from the top. When you start cleaning a room from top to bottom, you eliminate the risk of redundant work, as dust falls off the top of higher objects and onto lower surfaces. Cleaning from left to right also ensures that you clean the entire room instead of spot-cleaning from place to place. Make sure the ceiling fans are turned off before you start dusting. [1] 5. Clean up stray pet hair. Use a lint roller on soft areas and lampshades to get rid of any stray pet hair. Wipe the carpets with a damp rubber squeegee before vacuuming. [3] You can also wear rubber gloves and run them over the surfaces of your furniture to grab any stray pet hairs. [4] 6. Use the vacuum cleaner to its fullest potential. Besides using the vacuum to clean carpeted floors, a vacuum can also help clean hard-to-reach places such as kitchen cabinets. [4] When it comes time to vacuum the floors, do so in long rows to more efficiently clean. [1] 7. Wipe mirrors and glass. Use one damp microfiber cloth, followed by one dry cloth, to wipe clean all the mirrors and glass surfaces. 8. Disinfect countertops and surface areas. Using disinfectant products, wipe down hard surfaces, particularly the ones that might deliver germs to peopleβs fingers and faces. Ran out of disinfectant sprays and wipes? Save yourself from making a trip to the supermarket with a quick, easy and inexpensive DIY solution. Make a nontoxic disinfectant solution by mixing 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of white or apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water. 9. Remove the food and drink stains with these cleaning hacks. Mix baking soda with water and scrub with the solution to get rid of tough stains or buildup. To get rid of stubborn grime in the microwave, put a coffee cup full of water in the microwave and heat it up. After itβs boiling hot, wipe the inside of the microwave clean. [1] Gently clean any spills off the couch with baby wipes. [3] 10. Clean your window glass and window treatments. To clean the windows quickly and effectively, use a window squeegee. First wipe the windows with a cloth dipped in water and dish soap, then squeegee it dry. This prevents streaks and is quicker than wiping down with paper towels. [1] 11. Freshen up the bathroom with these easy DIY solutions. To get rid of water marks on stainless, wipe with hand sanitizer or baby oil. To keep the toilet clean, pour 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the bowl. Let it fizz for a few minutes, give the bowl a scrub and then flush. To clean tiles, mix 1-part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water in a bottle, spray over tiles, wait 30 seconds and then wipe with a damp cloth. To clean your grout of grime, scrub with a mixture of 1/2 cup baking soda and 2 cups of water and then buff clean. [3] 12. Sweep, then mop. Sweep the kitchen and bathroom floors. Start mopping from the farthest corner of the room and move backward towards the doorway (that is, donβt mop yourself into a corner). Rinse the mop every time you complete a 4-by-4-foot area. 13. Donβt forget to routinely wash your cleaning tools. An often-overlooked part of cleaning the house is maintaining your cleaning tools. Using a dirty mop or a vacuum with a full bag is much less effective, and youβll end up spending more time trying to clean. Sierra Leoneβs President Julius Maada Bio has declared a national emergency on substance abuse following calls on his government to crack down on the rising use of a cheap and sometimes deadly synthetic drug known as kush. The highly addictive mix of marijuana, tentanyl and tramadol has caused hundreds of deaths and psychiatrically damaged scores of users since it first appeared in Sierra Leone around four years ago, according to the government. There are no official figures on the exact number of deaths. Bio announced the national emergency in a late night address on Thursday, deploring what he said were βthe destructive consequences of kush on our countryβs very foundation: our young people.β He said a national task force on substance abuse β involving all sectors of society and supervised by a presidential advisory team β would be set up to implement a five-step strategy for what he called a drug-free future. Kushβs low price makes it accessible to disillusioned, unemployed youth in Sierra Leone, where around a quarter of the po[CENSORED]tion lives in poverty. The drug is also found in the neighboring West African nation of Liberia. Local communities have called on the government to tackle the scourge and help them deal with drug users. The head of Sierra Leoneβs only psychiatric hospital, Abdul Jalloh, welcomed Bioβs declaration as a crucial step towards addressing drug use.Sierra Leone's president has declared a national emergency over rampant drug abuse. Kush, a psychoactive blend of addictive substances, has been prevalent in the country for years. President Julius Maada Bio called the drug a "death trap" and said it posed an "existential crisis". One of the drug's many ingredients is human bones - security has been tightened in cemeteries to stop addicts digging up skeletons from graves. Groups of mostly young men sitting on street corners with limbs swollen by kush abuse is a common sight in Sierra Leone. With a bandage around his ankle, one recovering addict told the BBC the drug has a tight grip on him. "I don't like doing this, but I cannot leave it because I enjoy it," he said. Africa Live: Updates from across the continent Kush: Sierra Leone's new illegal drug There is no official death toll, but one doctor told the BBC that "in recent months" hundreds of young men had died from organ failure caused by kush in the capital, Freetown. The psychoactive substance also takes a toll on mental health - the Sierra Leone Psychiatric Hospital, the country's only institution of its kind, says between 2020 and 2023, admissions linked to kush surged by almost 4,000% to reach 1,865. And the spike in kush use has seen Freetown's main cemeteries request police security to protect themselves from young men digging up skeletons - ground-up human bone is one of the many ingredients used to make kush, although it is not clear why. In a nationwide broadcast on Thursday night, President Bio said: "Our country is currently faced with an existential threat due to the ravaging impact of drugs and substance abuse, particularly the devastating synthetic drug kush." He added that there had been "escalating fatalities" among kush users. The president also directed officials to set up a National Task Force on Drugs and Substance Abuse, which will primarily focus on "combatting the kush crisis". He said centres will be set up in every district and "adequately staffed by trained professionals to offer care and support to people with drug addiction". At present, Freetown is home to the country's only functioning drug rehabilitation centre. The 100-bed facility was hurriedly set up in an army training centre earlier this year. Experts have described it as "more of a holding centre than a rehab" because of its lack of adequate facilities. As well as addressing treatment, the president said law enforcement agencies should "dismantle the drug supply chain through investigations, arrests, and prosecutions". Deputy Mayor of Freetown Kweku Lisk told the BBC that his office had requested security from the police in order to tackle gravediggers. At the moment, there is a night-time police deployment at the Kissy Road cemetery, a large unfenced site in an eastern suburb. Mr Bio's administration has been criticised by people who say it lacks the strategy and drive to respond to kush abuse. "Such is the vacuum left by the lack of adequate response that communities have often had to take the law into their own hands and have responded to the crisis sometimes in a disjointed and crude manner", said a foreign diplomat in Sierra Leone. This sentiment has been echoed by callers on some local radio talk shows and on social media. Dr Abdul Jalloh, head of the Sierra Leone Psychiatric Hospital, said Mr Bio's emergency declaration is "the right step" and will be "crucial in addressing drug use". "It signifies the prioritisation of resources, attention and intervention to combat this growing epidemic," he said. Selecting the best code for the job? Dive into crucial factors and expert insights to pick the perfect programming language tailored to your goals! This is a question heard by many devs every single time they take on a new project. Clients typically want some sort of magic answer and to know which language is the ideal one that will help take their development projects from mere ideas into reality. This is, of course, a valid and fair question, as choosing the best fit of technology stacks, programming languages, and libraries is essential to successful development. However, it isnβt as simple as merely making a choice and sticking to it. There are many factors that must go into determining which programming language (or languages) to use in certain projects. Most seasoned developers already have a toolbelt of their own preferred languages and technologies for certain types of projects but they still go through a series of questions and considerations of the project at hand to make a final decision. Every programming language comes with its own advantages and disadvantages, and itβs definitely critical for the success of the project and business to choose the right one. This decision is also dependent upon the businessβs long-term goals and overall expectations. Questions to Ask When Selecting a Programming Language By asking many questions about the upcoming development project as well as the capabilities, limitations, and requirements of the various programming languages available, dev teams help clear our confusion and narrow the choices down. Some of the most important questions include: What is the intended environment on which to run the project: mobile, web, enterprise-level? Does the client have a preference based on previous experience and projects? Can the development team successfully program in the language? Would there be a big learning curve? Or would this require the hiring of new developers? What kind of performance considerations exist for the project? Will the language help improve and meet performance expectations? Does the language feature proper ecosystem support? Will it endure for a long time without needing updates? Does the vendor provide support for the language? Are there any existing or legacy codebase considerations for the project? Is there a digital community of developers available for resources and support? Does the language easily integrate with third-party tools? What are the considerations for the security of the language? While this is by no means a comprehensive or total list of questions meant for immediate decision-making, these questions help developers weed out the languages that are absolutely not a fit for the project. Alongside that, there are generalized lists of βbest fitsβ for different types of projects that developers may use as a guide to jump-start the selection process. This list isnβt definitive or something strict to stick to by any means, but may prove helpful to developers unsure of where to begin with a new project. Mobile Applications: JavaScript, Java, Swift, Object-C Web Applications: JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, HTML and CSS, TypeScript Enterprise Applications: C++, Erlang, C#, Java Machine Learning and Data Visualization: Python, R, Java, C# Big Data: Python, Java, R, Scala Data Storage: SQL, Python, Java, C# Operating Systems: C and C++ Distributed Systems: Go The Critical Factors of Program Language Decision-Making Type of Application The type of application, from web and mobile apps to enterprise software, heavily influences the languages available to choose from. General programming languages, such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, act as the chameleons of the development world and allow for building different types of apps across various platforms. Others, however, are incredibly specific to their project types. Scalability and Performance Although scalability is more determined by the technology stack, the performance of an application depends greatly on the programming languages it runs on. Previous Dev Experience Developers encounter many different types of projects and typically work with a variety of languages throughout their careers. Dev teams should voice their own experiences with the list of language contenders when making a selection for a new project. Security Every application differs in terms of security requirements. While some applications may require compliance with strict laws or codes (i.e. HIPAA compliance), others follow more generalized security rules. Development Speed The time required for code production is something that many people skip over as a determining factor in choosing a language. However, itβs crucial if the project requires an expedited timeline or a quick time-to-market. Execution Speed This typically depends on the needs of the client or end-users more than anything. Clients may or may not have a ton of data requiring processing, some may want speed as a top priority, and others are bound by third-party application speed requirements. By figuring this criterion out ahead of time, the team can save development time later on. Maintainability Every language and tech stack comes with a whole system of libraries and, thankfully, vendor support. Itβs important that devs look at the frequency of new releases for a language to see what will continue to receive support and stay current for the foreseeable future. Development teams must take the time to answer these questions with their client ahead of a new project as well as discussing among themselves which is the best fit for success based on the critical factors at hand. Grand Theft Auto is one of the most po[CENSORED]r and best-known franchises in gaming and expectations are high for the next entry in the series. The GTA 6 trailer is now available ahead of schedule, with a release date coming sometime in 2025 (or potentially 2026 if a report turns out to be true) and a setting in Vice City. The first trailer has arrived for GTA 6, and you can watch it above. It provides a glimpse at what to expect in Rockstar's return to Vice City, a stand-in for Miami. The trailer uses the Tom Petty song "Love Is a Long Road," and some believe the lyrics might contain clues about the story. Who's developing GTA 6? Grand Theft Auto 6 is in development at Rockstar Games. Rockstar North, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is leading the game's development, but these days, Rockstar's entire network of studios is known to work collectively on the same project, not unlike how development on Call of Duty is distributed between teams. Rockstar's latest big game, Red Dead Redemption II, was developed by multiple teams, and that'll be the case once again with GTA 6. It's recently come to light that Rockstar is mandating that developers return to the office in April to close out production on the game and to bolster security and productivity. Not all staffers are happy about this, though, and some have said mandating working in the office is a bad thing for a variety of reasons. GTA 6 release date Grand Theft Auto VI will be released in 2025 across PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There has been no mention of a release on PC. Recently, a report from Rockstar owner Take-Two suggested the game might have slipped on the company's release calendar. After that, Kotaku reported that production on the open-world game was "falling behind." Sources told the site that "Fall 2025" is the planned release window for GTA 6 VI. However, the site also reported that it's possible the open-world game could slip to 2026. Setting and Story Grand Theft Auto VI is set in the state of Leonida, which is home to Vice City AKA Miami. Rockstar has said GTA VI will deliver the "biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet." The company went on to say the game will "push the limits of what's possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences." Not much is known about the story thus far, but we do know it will feature the characters Lucia and a man rumored to be named Jason. They appear to be lovers who enjoy doing heists together. The trailer also suggests that Lucia spent time in prison . Details from the trailer The announcement trailer features the Tom Petty song "Love Is A Long Road," and it's not Petty's first song for GTA, as the late Florida-born musician also lent "Runnin' Down A Dream" to GTA: San Andreas. Players will seemingly get to visit beaches, swamps, and other waterways in Leonida, as well as the bustling metropolis of Vice City itself. The trailer shows off big crowds, dogs, impressive hair physics, and some kind of in-game social media platform. There are strip clubs, night clubs, and concerts in the game, as well as dogs and all manner of wildlife. Take a look at the trailer for yourself to get a glimpse at what to expect from GTA VI and its new version of Vice City. No Troy Baker Prolific video game voice actor Troy Baker has confirmed that he will not voice the male lead in Grand Theft Auto VI, a character rumored to be named Jason. Rockstar Games has made no official announcements about the cast for GTA VI, so we don't know who voices Jason or Lucia. Expect it to be $70 Take-Two was one of the first publishers to start charging $10 more for big new releases, and one would have to imagine this will continue with GTA 6. Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick recently said the company has seen "no pushback" against the $70 price point, so you can safely expect that GTA 6 will carry this premium price point as well. The big leak In September 2022, Rockstar suffered a massive leak of the next GTA game, with numerous screenshots and early footage of the game posted online. Rockstar responded to the leak and said work would continue "as planned" on GTA 6, but parent company Take-Two's share price took a hit after the leak. Take-Two management also stared that the leak was "really frustrating and unfortunate," but ultimately that it would not affect the company's bottom line. It later came to light that the person said to be responsible for the hack that led to the leak was a teenager on bail in a hotel room using an Amazon Fire Stick. "Something you've never seen before" Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick is known for letting Rockstar speak for itself, but he did share some words recently on GTA 6. He said Rockstar is seeking "nothing short of perfection," and that the aim is for GTA 6 to be "something you've never seen before." "I think that's the challenge that the folks at Rockstar face every time that there is a new iteration of Grand Theft Auto. It needs to be something you've never seen before," Zelnick said. "And it needs to reflect the feeling that we have about Grand Theft Auto--that's a big challenge for the team. Rockstar's answer is seek perfection. Seek nothing short of perfection, and we'll get there." What happens to GTA Online? Grand Theft Auto Online has a big, dedicated fanbase of active players, so many are wondering what's going to happen to the game when GTA VI comes out. Rockstar has not yet provided any detail around that, however, but keep checking back for more. Topic Source :https://www.gamespot.com/articles/grand-theft-auto-6-everything-we-know/1100-6503729/

Fortnite Rise of Midas event The Rise of Midas event is now live and runs through April 2 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. During the event, you can play to complete a series of in-game quests that will dole out battle pass XP and several free cosmetic items. The in-game quests will appear across five categories to be rolled out during the event. The first batch, Midas Rises, is out now, with four subsequent batches of challenges hitting the game on March 20, 25, 27, and 28, respectively. If you complete any six quests, you'll unlock the Cerberus Medallion spray. At 12 completed quests, you'll get the Rose of Avarice back bling. And for doing 18 of these challenges, you'll claim the Queen in Gold glider, as a nod to Marigold, Midas' similarly gilded sibling. Should any of these challenges prove tricky, you can bet we'll have you covered with guides right here on GameSpot. Meanwhile in the item shop, the new Ascendant Midas skin will debut on March 26 when the shop resets at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. His new accessories, the Golden King's Cape back bling, the Golden Ascension wrap, and the Golden Touch pickaxe will also be available starting that day. For more competitive players, you can earn the new Ascendent Midas skin for free by participating in the Rise of Midas Cup, a solos tournament. You can find the tourney in-game and its official rules here. Floor Is Lava returns I regret to inform you the floor is, once again, lava. The po[CENSORED]r LTM returns but with a twist: The Chapter 5 Season 2 weapons will be available in the mode. Oh yeah, and the lava will be gold (of course). The LTM will feature its own event quests separate from the Rise of Midas event with even more free cosmetics, including the Lightning King and Zeus Medallion sprays, as well as the Gilded Vengeance pickaxe. Don't delay, as the mode and its free rewards will disappear when the Rise of Midas event ends on April 2. New weapon and item That's not all; you can also find two new equippable items on the map starting today, including one new weapon previously teased in the season launch trailer. The Chains of Hades is a new Mythic item that pulls enemy players toward you with a swift and painful combo attack--think of it like the signature weapons belonging to Mortal Kombat's Scorpion or Overwatch's Roadhog. You can find it with some luck in a chest or as floor loot, or take down Hades for a guaranteed drop. The other new item is the Shield Bubble Jr., a smaller, more personal version of the Shield Bubble that can buy you a moment of respite when enemies are gunning for your crown. This too can be found as ground loot or in chests. Bug fixes in Fortnite patch 29.01 Epic is good about adding new content with each patch, but these updates also serve to fix what may ail the game. Straight from the developer, here's a list of "major" bug fixes included in this patch. I had the chance to sit down with Bit Reactor art director, Daanish Syed, and technical director, Ryan McFall, to talk about their priorities in designing a strategy game. The two weren't authorized to directly discuss the studio's upcoming Star Wars project, but they did weigh in on how they see the genre, and what its major hurdles are. "I think there's definitely a perception thereβ βI think folks have a limited view of what a strategy game could be," said McFall, who previously worked on Firaxis' XCOM reboot series. "That is one of the things we want to try to do: expand people's perception of what the experience actually is of playing a strategy game." Syed expanded on this, homing in on how difficult it is to break into the genre as a new player: "Like any genre, there is a spectrum of complexity. Some genres might fall toward one side or the other, but there's still lots of variation in-between. "If you look at the racing genre, you have arcade racers, you have simulation racers, and people aren't scared by that, because they've seen the spectrum. I feel like strategy games potentially have not been exposed in the same way where players haven't seen what strategy games can be." Syed and McFall cited Mario + Rabbids and Baldur's Gate 3 as two recent examples of strategy (or strategy-adjacent) games that really overcame this perception challenge. As for how to win over and retain players, our talk focused on building the best user interface to make a great first impression and not overwhelm players. "When a player is brought into the game, they're learning all the systems and so we want it to be immediately fun, and give the player maximum output for their minimum input and find the fun in the core game itself," Syed said of this UI challenge. "Then we can start layering on more features and more systems, but we're ready to grab the player with that initial core of what makes this game fun."They also want to create something that works with all kinds of controllers, like gamepads or even touchscreen: "We want to support as many of the range of input devices as we can, just from an accessibility standpoint, and expanding the audience standpoint," said McFall. "We're always thinking about the different ways that our users could interact with a title.Mouse and keyboard is pretty standard, but these days, there's so much more than that." Both developers had formative experiences working on action games, not strategyβMcFall on the FEAR series, and Syed on Mortal Kombat and Jedi: Survivor. McFall pointed out that good UI is significantly more important in strategy games as opposed to a shooter like FEAR. "If you're looking at your ammo count or whatever, you're not doing it right. But with a strategy game like XCOM, that UI is such a critical element for comprehending and following the flow of action there." As for Syed, the art director seemed eager to develop a new visual language for Bit Reactor's Star Wars strategy game, similar to Jedi Survivor's "celestial star charts" motif. "That's the language we developed for Jedi: Survivor. Similarly, we're gonna develop our own language that fits within Star Wars, but also feels unique to this game." Even though the two couldn't talk about their Star Wars project directly, the focus of the conversation got my mind really spinning on what the game might entail. I went in thinking of it as a Star Wars "RTS," but McFall and Syed never used that term, instead opting for "strategy game." Similarly, their focus on controller-friendly UI and the games they were most excited to talk about (Rabbids, Baldur's Gate 3, McFall also praised Rogue Trader at one point) has me wondering if it'll be something in more of a turn-based direction. Whatever the case, we'll have to wait for more word from EA and Bit Reactor to know for sure.
