JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Eruption occurred at Mount Merapi, Yogyakarta, today (3/3/2020). International media also glanced at this news and preached to the whole world.

For example, there are four foreign media that publish news of the eruption of Mount Merapi today. The media are spread from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and neighboring countries, Singapore.

1. Guardian
"There was a roar for about five minutes and I could see the puff as soon as possible from my house," said a resident of Boyolali named Jarmaji who gave a statement to The Guardian.

The London-based media also reported on the eruption of Mount Merapi, which was closed by Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo and published to local residents.

Mount Merapi up to a radius of 3 kilometers, and some emit lava flows and pyroclastic flows (a mixture of hot gas and fast-moving volcanic material).

Such is the explanation issued by The Guardian, quoted from the Indonesian volcanic watchdog.

At the end of his article, The Guardian lists the most terrible eruptions that have occurred at Merapi.

The biggest eruption occurred in 1930 which killed 1,300 people, and the 1994 eruption claimed 60 lives.

"The last time a major eruption occurred at Merapi was in 2010 which left more than 300 people dead and 280,000 evacuated," concluded The Guardian.
