INFORMATION Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017, followed by a Microsoft Windows version the following month.[1][2] The game was published by Activision until early 2019, when Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. It is the sequel to 2014's Destiny and its subsequent expansions. Set in a "mythic science fiction" world, the game features a multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. In addition to normal story missions, PvE features three-player "strikes" and six-player raids. A free roam patrol mode is also available for each planet and features public events as well as new activities not featured in the original. These new activities have an emphasis on exploration of the planets and interactions with non-player characters (NPCs); the original Destiny only featured NPCs in social spaces. PvP features objective-based modes, as well as traditional deathmatch game modes. GAMEPLAY Welcome to the era of the lifestyle game, where products are conceived, crafted and sold as persistent experiences intended to become a cornerstone of your leisure time. The brute force RPG treadmills of the monolithic noughties MMOs have given way to snackable games that use levels, loot boxes, card packs and incremental uneven rewards to entice us into putting in a few hours every week until the next game or expansion comes out. Destiny 2 is your next lifestyle game, but not because its progression systems are more enticing, or because its loot is particularly fabulous, but because it is a world-class shooter and a chill time with friends. Destiny 2 is a persistent online FPS set in our solar system in the distant future. Four alien factions have converged on Earth to seize the power of a vast orb called the Traveler, which acts as humanity's silent protector. The Traveler's tiny drones, known as Ghosts, resurrect humans to serve as immortal Guardians charged with defending the planet. There are three flavours of Guardian to choose from. Warlocks can zap enemies with lightning, Emperor Palpatine style; Titans throw down shield walls and punch bad guys really hard; Hunters shank foes while dodge-rolling and tethering hordes with shots from a bow made of glittering purple energy. You pick your class, design your character, and get levelling. Destiny 2's plot is simple. A warlord called Ghaul leads the lumbering rhino-people called the Cabal in an attack on Earth. He wants to siphon off the Traveller's power for himself, and you have to stop him across five or six hours of missions scattered across Earth, Titan, Nessus and IO. As the old Arthur C. Clarke saying goes, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Destiny's fiction lives in this blurred area. Guns housing advanced AI fire ammunition that breaks apart reality. You might find wearing a far-future astronaut suit, or a helmet made from the bones of an extinct race of space dragons. Destiny's universe works better when you consider it as an anthology of these cool sci-fi ideas rather than a linear story. The Cabal are the main threat in this game, but every faction can bring their bespoke on-brand apocalypse scenario to bear whenever Bungie releases an expansion. The zombie-like Hive wants to consume everything to feed the symbiotic worm creatures that infest them. The cybernetic Vex want to resolve the ambiguities of the universe into a perfect network, which involves wiping out species that inconvenience them After hundreds of hours of Destiny 1 and many hours of Destiny 2, it still feels great to dismantle a mob like this, and Bungie's shooter expertise translates surprisingly well onto PC. Mouse and keyboard controls, combined with a stable 60 fps of performance, adds an extra sense of control and fluidity. My experience with the PC version has been excellent. Destiny 2 has extensive settings menus that let you gear the game to your rig. It feels great to broaden out the field of view and absorb more of the game's gorgeous space vistas. Some of the default key bindings are off for me, but these too can be extensively rearranged to fit your setup. GAMEPLAY TRAILER

INFORMATION TrackMania Turbo is a racing video game developed by Nadeo and published by Ubisoft. Announced at E3 2015, the title is the first TrackMania game that is to be released on consoles since 2009's TrackMania Wii. The game features support for virtual reality.[1] The current world record holders for the Guinness World Record track is Thomas Hall and Alex Dunsmore (both UK) achieving a time of 1 minute 00.78 seconds at Insomnia 63 in Birmingham, United Kingdom in August 2018. The game was originally set to be released on 3 November 2015, but was delayed to 22 March 2016 to give additional time to the development team to further polish the game GAMEPLAY The Trackmania games have been thrilling PC racers for a while now, but sadly absent from console systems. That’s been a shame since its hefty focus on pure arcade-style racing is a perfect fit for big screen TVs and control pads. Thankfully, the latest in the line, Trackmania Turbo, has hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the result is as fun as fans of the series could have hoped. The game’s unique focus on time trial racing gives it a distinctly refreshing feel from the Forzas and Need for Speeds of the world. Trackmania Turbo, like all the games in the series, isn't about competitive racing. Instead, everything is based on beating track times. In the beefy single-player game, for instance, the goal across the 200+ tracks is to score a medal by besting specific speedrun times. Capturing the gold can be an uphill fight, requiring countless retries, while getting a bronze is usually something even more casual players can manage The controls couldn't be simpler, but they are absurdly sensitive. The lightest tap of the analog stick or d-pad can send your lightweight car head-first toward a wall on either side of you, assuming there are barriers and you don't simply careen into the ocean. But the inverse is also true: it's possible to readjust your steering just as quickly to compensate. With the uneven or otherwise unforgiving terrain you're up against, staying on the track requires continued effort. You have to blink strategically. The ultra-responsive controls have freed Nadeo to come up with impossible-looking courses and fairly demand that you not only make it through to the other side, vehicle relatively intact, but do so while maintaining absurd speeds. I'm talking jumping hundreds of feet off ramps, driving sideways on walls, and flying straight down tracks that are literally roller coasters. As wild as the spectacle of TrackMania is, without the patience to try, fail, and fail some more, an experience like this could prove infuriating. I rarely got too upset. Part of that is on good signposting that calls out upcoming obstacles and part is on the short length of levels. Multi-lap tracks aside, many races last 40 seconds or less. GAMEPLAY TRAILER

INFORMATION Vampyr is an action role-playing video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Focus Home Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 5 June 2018, and will launch for Nintendo Switch in October 2019. The plot relates to how Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has turned into a vampire, comes to terms with his undead condition as he is torn between the Hippocratic Oath and his newfound bloodthirsty nature GAMEPLAY Jonathan Reid is a doctor with a particular interest and expertise in blood, giving his transformation into a vampire a splatter of dark irony. The caring helper of the sick and protector of the weak is still in him, but so is a ravenous monster with an all-consuming desire to drain the crimson, life-giving nectar from his patients’ bulging, fleshy necks. It’s a deliciously evil and original premise for a vampire story, and frequently forces you to make some genuinely tough decisions Here’s the thing, though: that nurse might not be as honest as she seems. There’s an investigation element to Vampyr, with Reid uncovering details about the lives and interconnected relationships of the people he encounters in the cosy pubs, dingy slums, and foggy streets of London. The game is set in 1918, in the wake of the First World War and during a Spanish flu epidemic, which makes your bloodlust even more disturbing. These people’s lives are bleak enough without worrying about random vampire attacks too. I love this simulation aspect of Vampyr: learning to live with the curse, blending in, choosing when to feed, who to spare. But it’s the bits inbetween that disappoint. For every fleshed-out NPC there’s an endless parade of vampire hunters and feral vampires to kill in dull, repetitive combat sequences. You carve through so many of these guys that it cheapens Reid’s struggles with violence elsewhere. And the combat feels weightless, twitchy, and unsatisfying, with the floaty, frustrating third-person camera frequently getting stuck in corners and on bits of scenery, obscuring the action. In its favour, there’s a decent variety of ways to fight, from using melee weapons and guns, to more exotic vampire-related powers such as hurling spears made of blood at people and viciously clawing them to shreds. But these parts of the game are rarely more than passable, and their existence is actually to its overall detriment, feeling like a tiresome distraction. I can’t help but think that Vampyr would have been much better if the story and simulation elements were left to stand on their own—which I think they easily could have. There’s a lot of interesting, high concept stuff in Vampyr, and I love how Dontnod has used the tropes of vampire fiction to create a simulation of life as a vampire. London makes for an atmospheric setting, with buildings looming ominously through the fog and a dark, oppressive feel to the cobbled streets. But it feels like a game at odds with itself, veering wildly from compelling, dialogue-driven storytelling, to flat, uninspiring action, and back again. I never really fell in love with Reid either, a grim, relentlessly self-serious chap whose charisma seems to have been sucked out of him along with his humanity GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Rapper Krept has said he is "good" and will be "back in no time" after he was assaulted backstage at a BBC Radio 1Xtra live event in Birmingham. The sold-out Saturday night show at the Arena Birmingham was brought to a close early following the incident. The rapper, one half of duo Krept and Konan, suffered a slash wound. He tweeted on Sunday: "Can't keep a good man down." Police said medical help was given on site and he did not go to hospital. West Midlands Police are looking at CCTV from inside the venue and speaking with potential witnesses. Forensic investigations are also continuing. The force told the BBC the event would have been risk assessed in advance "because all large events are". 1Xtra Live was billed as an "unmissable night" with a "mix of emerging and established artists", including Aitch, French Montana, Ms Banks and headliner Wizkid. Tickets for the Arena Birmingham, which has a capacity of 15,800, had sold out. The gig was broadcast live across 1Xtra and Radio 1 but the stream ended when the event was called off. The BBC said it was sorry to do so but safety was a priority. In a statement, the corporation added: "We are upset and saddened that something like this should happen to a guest at one of our events and we remain in close contact and continue to offer our full support." Krept's manager Docta Cosmic and Konan both tweeted on Saturday night, saying: "Bro's good."

Bugatti became the first carmaker to top 300 mph, when a modified version of its hypercar hit 304.77 mph. A Bugatti Chiron, adapted for higher speeds and driven by Andy Wallace, hit the top speed on Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany on Aug. 2. It is the first supercar to break the 300 mph barrier. “Bugatti has once again shown what it’s capable of,” said Stephan Winkelmann, president of Bugatti. “With this new record of the Chiron we enter again uncharted territory. Never before has a series manufacturer reached this high speed.” Bugatti, which is owned by Volkswagen, broke the record for a production car in 2005 when its Veyron model hit 254 mph. In 2010, its Veyron Super Sport set another record with a top speed of 268 mph. But Bugatti said that with its latest top speed, it is retiring from the race for numerical records. “We have shown several times that we build the fastest cars in the world,” Winkelmann said. “In future we will focus on other areas. ... This was the last time for us.” The record-setting Chiron is not the typical production model that customers can buy for $3 million. It’s what Bugatti calls a “pre-production vehicle of a Chiron derivative,” with a longer and more aerodynamic body and reinforced tires from Michelin. Since the tires rotate up to 4,100 times in one minute, they were subjected to extensive trials and tests, and even X-rayed to optimize the smallest details before the test run.\

INFO Resident Evil 7: Biohazard[a] is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom, released in January 2017 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and in May 2018 for the Nintendo Switch in Japan Resident Evil 7 is the first full-length game to use Capcom's in-house RE Engine. The development was led by Koshi Nakanishi, director of the 2012 Nintendo 3DS game Resident Evil: Revelations. It was presented as a virtual reality demo, Kitchen, a year prior to its announcement at E3 2016, and supports the PlayStation VR headset. Resident Evil 7 was considered a return to form for the series; critics praised the gameplay, graphics, and design, but criticized the boss battles and the final chapter. The PlayStation VR version received positive reviews, with some criticism including decreased resolution and physical discomfort. As of December 2018, the game has sold over six million copies worldwide. Two downloadable content scenarios, Not a Hero and End of Zoe, were also released for the game. GAMEPLAY Confidence comes in waves. You’ll find ammo and feel unstoppable. Then you’ll find yourself locked in a small room with an enemy, waste all your bullets by firing at it in a blind panic, and suddenly feel helpless again. However, there are a few moments, mostly in the last third of the game, where you have an abundance of ammunition and can merrily shoot any monstrosity that crosses your path. These sections almost feel like a reward for your many hours of careful ammo conservation and patient sneaking, and are hugely cathartic. But just as you’re delighting in your newfound power, it’s snatched away. The early hours are spent in and around an old house owned by the reclusive Baker family. It’s a disgusting, rotten place a far cry from the grand Spencer mansion and rendered in astonishing detail. You can almost smell the mouldering food and stale, dusty air as you explore, and the building creaks and groans like a dying animal as it’s battered by the wind. There’s a grimy, almost tangible realism to the visuals, and the audio design is sensational too. You can easily track the shuffling footsteps of an enemy by ear, gauging where they are based on sound alone. And the creaking floorboards and sinister sounds that echo around you only add to the rumbling sense of dread felt in every room of this dreary homestead. The move to first-person is not as revolutionary as you might think. The combat, which largely involves taking careful aim at an enemy as they shamble towards you, is very Resident Evil. It’s no FPS, thankfully, and the game has a nasty habit of making enemies creep up behind you while you’re distracted by the one in front. But, curiously, there’s no lean button, which makes those moments when you’re trying to sneak around a hammer-wielding maniac slightly tricky. Some will miss the traditional third-person camera, but for me there’s something more intimate about seeing things through Ethan’s eyes. The game includes the use of weapons unlike its others compatitors (outlast 2) Which surely makes the game a bit unlikely to be horifying but thats not the case the bullets are mostly found in small amounts which you have to use carefull unless you want to die or keep runing from the zombies Although the game doesnt have much jumpscares but still is horifying to even play alone at night The game is quiete disturbing as of my own experience Gameplay Trailer

The explosions in Just Cause 3 are really, really good. They’re elaborate, extravagant eruptions of fire, debris, and smoke. And when you blow something up, the ensuing fireball spreads to other objects around it, triggering a massive, destructive chain reaction. It’s a brand of fiery devastation that Michael Bay would describe as ‘too much’. But that’s about it. When the fires burn out, the smoke clears, and the dust settles, you’re left with a simplistic, one-note, and strangely dull open-world action game. Rico Rodriguez returns as the game’s protagonist, and seems to have, over the course of three games, slowly transformed from Antonio Banderas into Nathan Drake. And this time he’s liberating Medici, a picturesque chain of sun-soaked islands in the Mediterranean controlled by a one-dimensional cartoon dictator called Sebastiano Di Ravello. This sadistic, egotistical despot rules the country with an iron fist, and it’s your job to dramatically blow up that fist. Rico has always been a man who smirks in the face of physics, but in Just Cause 3 it’s a hearty belly laugh. A new gadget, the wingsuit, lets you soar majestically across the map, and it’s brilliant. You can keep going basically forever by shooting your grappling hook at the ground and pulling yourself forward. It makes no sense whatsoever, and is one step away from straight-up flying, but combined with the old grapple/parachute combo, moving around Medici is always hugely entertaining This might be the single best thing in Just Cause 3, giving you opportunities for explosive tank meets volatile barrel, soldier meets wall and guard tower meets ground high-jinx, everywhere you go. What looks like a power plant or a military airbase becomes a kind of domino toppling setup, only here the dominoes catch fire, blow apart and smash each other up in the most wonderful and unexpected ways. Trust me; cartoon rampant destruction has never been this satisfying or looked this good. The big risk it takes is giving you so much of the good stuff so soon. While there are loads of weapons and vehicles to collect, not to mention mods that make your gear even more versatile and effective, you have a pretty full toybox to begin with. And once you’ve bagged a vehicle once and bought it back to a friendly garage you can have it delivered at any point later via a handy supply drop, along with your favourite guns. There is a cooldown period and it means you never have to wade into a firefight empty handed, but on the other hand, you never have to work too hard to get yourself set up for battle.
