It's safe to say the cryptocurrency market is crashing today as the market sells almost every asset class on news of Russia invading Ukraine. The riskiest assets, like cryptocurrencies, have been among the hardest hit. In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has fallen as much as 11.2%, Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) fell 15%, Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) dropped 18.2%, and Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) fell a whopping 20% at its low. The selling hit peak frenzy overnight and as equity markets open in the U.S. the values of cryptocurrencies have seemed to stabilize somewhat. So what Russia began an invasion of Ukraine late on Wednesday and that caused investors to sell risky assets at a rapid clip. Since crypto markets are open 24 hours per day, the pain was felt there first, but stocks are down big today as well. Cryptocurrencies have been correlated with the stock market for months now and they're typically more volatile than the market, meaning their moves are larger than the typical stock. We're seeing that today as investors flee from risky assets and buy assets deemed safer like utility stocks and oil. Right or wrong, that's the market's short-term reaction. At the same time Russia is moving into Ukraine, we're also seeing Canada move forward with freezing cryptocurrency accounts associated with the truck protest. One of the arguments for cryptocurrency is its decentralized nature, which is being put to the test in Canada if the government can freeze accounts. Now what We are seeing more stress on the long-term viability of the crypto economy now than we have seen in a decade. Some countries are banning cryptocurrency, others are beginning to regulate it, and still others are trying to treat it like any normal financial asset in a centralized bank. Meanwhile, traditional investors in the stock market have moved into cryptocurrency, which brings with it some of the same market swings we see with stocks. Days like this are a reminder to keep your focus on what's being built in the crypto economy. The cryptocurrencies that are successful long-term are likely to be those building the most utility, whether that's through a payment infrastructure, NFTs, or some other kind of value. I also don't think a day like this is a reason to panic sell. There hasn't been any fundamental change in the economy or in cryptocurrencies themselves. And we don't know if the invasion of Ukraine will lead to any further conflict. So, while the market is currently fearful, that fear may not last. There are starting to be some great values in the market and I'm seeing today's drop as a buying opportunity to pick up great assets at a discount. Long-term, the market will realize the underlying value in stocks and cryptocurrencies and investors who can take advantage of dislocations like this will be able the beat the market over time. Sanctions could stall production in Russia and the West As the crisis in Ukraine escalates and President Joe Biden puts in place new sanctions targeting the Russian economy, there could be substantial collateral damage to the auto industry, including automakers and parts suppliers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Russia is one of the world’s largest suppliers of several key metals, including palladium and nickel, used in auto manufacturing around the world. It’s also home to a sizable manufacturing base, which includes a number of plants owned by foreign manufacturers like Stellantis, Volkswagen and Toyota. With at least a quarter of the parts used in Russian-made vehicles coming from abroad — including from the U.S. — those assembly plants could have trouble continuing to operate while sanctions are in place, according to analysts and industry officials. The impact of sanctions could also hit home. Russia is the world’s third-largest supplier of the nickel used in lithium-ion batteries, and it provides 40 percent of the palladium used in catalytic converters, which can be found in all gas and diesel-powered vehicles. If Russian President Vladamir Putin retaliates against the West by cutting off palladium supplies, “automakers would have to find alternative supplies or they wouldn’t be able to build vehicles with internal combustion engines,” said Sam Abuelsamid, principal auto analyst for Guidehouse Insights, a research firm. Video: https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/ukraine-declares-state-of-emergency-as-u-s-warns-of-full-scale-russian-invasion-133888581800 South Africa and Zimbabwe also produce substantial amounts of palladium, but even before Russian troops crossed into two regions of Ukraine this week, the price of the rare metal was climbing fast. In mid-December, palladium dipped as low as $1,600 an ounce. On Wednesday, it had climbed to just over $2,400. Price increases like that could add $150 to the average cost of a new vehicle, and more than $200 to SUVs, pickups and sports cars with bigger engines. Automakers would have to decide whether to swallow the added cost or pass it on to consumers at a time when prices for new vehicles are already running at record levels, topping $45,000 in January. If nickel supplies are constrained that could slow the production of the batteries used in electric vehicles and deliver a blow to a major initiative of the Biden administration — to have electric vehicles account for up to half off all new autos by 2030. There are additional sources of nickel — Indonesia and the Philippines the two largest — but demand and prices have been growing and automakers could face the same challenges as with palladium, according to Abuelsamid. Russian automakers also have reason to worry. They depend on foreign sources for 25 percent of the parts needed to keep their own auto assembly plants running. One manufacturer, the Gaz Group, has publicly warned that it will have to halt production if sanctions are enacted. Gaz produces light- and medium-duty commercial vehicles, buses and automotive components for domestic and export markets. Several foreign automakers also have a major presence in the heart of the former Soviet Union, and partnerships with domestic Russian companies. They include Euro-American automaker Stellantis — formed last year by a merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobile and PSA Group. Sanctions “predominantly (are) going to impact European automakers, and some Asians,” said Joe Phillippi, head of AutoTrends Consulting. As the current crisis began, Stellantis had been increasing production of vans and other vehicles at a plant outside of Moscow, for export to the West. It was also planning to start exporting transmissions. But CEO Carlos Tavares said his company may have to rethink that strategy. “If we cannot supply the plant, if that is the reality, we have either to transfer that production to other plants, or just limit ourselves,” Tavares said during an earnings call Wednesday. Among the European manufacturers operating in Russia, Volkswagen said in a statement, “The degree of impact on our business activities in the affected countries is continuously determined.” America’s two largest automakers have been out of the Russian market for several years. Ford shuttered operations, including a plant in St. Petersburg, in 2019. General Motors began to pull out in 2015 and sold off its remaining stake to Avtovaz in 2019. Now controlled by France’s Renault, Avtovaz said in a statement it is looking for alternative sources of supplies, such as semiconductors, but cautioned it is “premature” to predict how the crisis will affect the company. One reason is that it remains unclear which of America’s allies will adopt the new sanctions. There is also concern in the industry that Russia’s allies could strike back. “The big question is what China does,” Abuelsamid, the analyst, said. “If we put heavy sanctions on Russia, they might respond and cut us off from many of the things we need,” including circuit boards and other raw materials, such as the lithium needed for electric vehicles. With the situation in Ukraine escalating, none of the companies in the U.S. auto sector NBC contacted was willing to discuss the crisis, hoping to lay low and ride it out. Considering the current fragility of the auto supply chain, analysts Abuelsamid and Phillippi said, it is too early to determine just how broad an impact the Ukraine crisis will have on the auto industry — but there are clearly reasons for manufacturers to worry. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/ukraine-crisis-create-woes-auto-industry-rcna17384

In the thirteen years since launching, Square has grown into a $50 billion-plus financial powerhouse. Now called Block, the company operates an FDIC-insured bank, consumer payments platform, offers stock and cryptocurrency trading and has made a number of high-profile acquisitions. Block earnings are due out after the close of trading on Thursday, and the next decade of growth will likely be more about blockchain and cryptocurrencies as CEO Jack Dorsey focuses on "the native currency of the internet." It all started with a tiny square card reader. Tech entrepreneurs Jack Dorsey and Jim McKelvey set out to find a straightforward way for artists and vendors to accept credit cards. The solution came in the form of a plastic, stamp-sized dongle that could be plugged into an iPhone jack. The two St. Louis natives launched their start-up in 2009 and rode the wave of smartphones and online payments. In the thirteen years since, Square, now called Block, has grown into a $54 billion financial powerhouse. "We happened to recognize a problem: more of the U.S. was moving to paying with plastic cards which was great for individuals because it's convenient, but the problem was, a lot of sellers couldn't accept cards," Dorsey said in a recent interview with MicroStrategy's CEO. "We didn't realize that was just the tip of the iceberg." The early iPhone dongle quickly evolved into an iPad app to get rid of the need for cash registers. Square struck a deal with Apple to sell its hardware in stores, and later with Starbucks, becoming its official card processor. From there, Square started focusing on all things small business, including loans and payroll. It bought food delivery service Caviar, then a few years later sold it to DoorDash. Block now operates an FDIC-insured bank, consumer payments platform, stock and cryptocurrency trading and physical debit cards. The San Francisco-based company also bought Jay-Z's music streaming service Tidal and buy-now-pay-later provider Afterpay. Like most Disruptor 50 companies, Square's growth was fueled by venture capital dollars. Its first official round of funding in 2009 was led by Khosla Ventures at a roughly $45 million valuation, according to Pitchbook. Early investors in that $10 million round included Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone and Napster's Shawn Fanning. Later funding brought in the venture capital arms of Visa, Citi, Starbucks, Goldman Sachs, as well as Silicon Valley giants Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins. An initial public offering came in 2015, with Square listing on the New York Stock Exchange, under the ticker SQ, with Dorsey at the helm. The newly public company was valued at just under $3 billion with shares pricing at $9. Its stock has climbed nearly 900% since. Square's consumer facing business grew fast and organically. The Cash App now makes up roughly half of revenue for the company and was one of the biggest drivers of growth during the pandemic as Americans pivoted to digital banking. In the early days of Cash App though, few people internally thought it was worth pursuing, Dorsey explained recently. "The Cash App was something that everyone in the company, at the time we started, didn't think we should be doing," Dorsey said at the Microstrategy conference in February. "It was a very hard sell... we weren't seeing much traction in the market, and every day I was losing credibility, which I was hyper-aware of defending this thing. Eventually, the team found a model and made it work." 'Native currency of the internet' Dorsey has applied that experimentation model in other areas of Block's business — especially bitcoin. Square started experimenting with cryptocurrency within the Cash App back in 2014, Dorsey said, and enabled online stores to accept cryptocurrency. Square saw few transactions, and it "didn't really go anywhere." The company took it up in earnest again years later, and now facilitates the buying and selling of bitcoin on the Cash App, in addition to equities. In the first quarter last year, bitcoin trading added $3.5 billion to revenue, more than half of the total for the three-month period. Block now holds bitcoin on its balance sheet as an alternative to cash, and has launched multiple, open-source crypto projects within the company. It's working on a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange and a mining project and has a bitcoin-focused division of the company, called TBD. Dorsey has been one of the most high-profile advocates of bitcoin, and often refers to it as the "native currency of the internet." He stepped down as the CEO at Twitter late last year, and said he believes the company is "ready to move on from its founders." The 45-year-old will have more time to dedicate to Block's growing portfolio. But Dorsey's also expected to focus on his well-documented commitment to cryptocurrency. The rebranding to Block is a nod to the company's crypto ambitions and a focus beyond its original credit card-reader business. "We built the Square brand for our Seller business, which is where it belongs," Dorsey said in a statement. "Block is a new name, but our purpose of economic empowerment remains the same. No matter how we grow or change, we will continue to build tools to help increase access to the economy." Block was one of the biggest winners of the pandemic era as investors embraced high-growth tech stocks. But its share price has dropped back to pre-pandemic levels as investors move away from rich valuations, with higher interest rates threatening future growth. Shares have dropped more than 45% this year alone. The company reports earnings after the closing bell Thursday and investors are closely watching Block's forecast for 2022, and its plans to execute on the next era of growth.

Latest updates: Labour leader questions prime minister about level of sanctions after Russia sent troops into Ukraine. Salmond should be expelled from privy council over RT links, say Scottish Lib Dems Alex Salmond is facing fresh cross-party pressure to cancel his chat show on the Kremlin-funded channel RT after Alex Cole-Hamilton, the Scottish Liberal Democrat leader, called for the former first minister to be expelled from the privy council. Like George Galloway, another Scottish ex-MP for both Labour and Respect, Salmond anchors a weekly show on RT which is produced by Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, also a former Scottish National party MP. It routinely features Salmond’s allies, including Angus MacNeil, the SNP MP for the Western Isles. Salmond became a member of the privy council in 2007. It is an honour mostly granted to senior parliamentarians, who can be allowed access to secret intelligence material on privy council terms. Cole-Hamilton has written to Mark Spencer MP, lord president of the Privy Council, and to the Lord Privy Seal Baroness Evans of Bowes Park, asking for him to expelled from it. RT had portrayed Russia’s incursion into Ukraine as “a liberation”, he said. He said: I believe Mr Salmond’s close and financial association with an agent of a hostile state should therefore render him unfit to offer further advice to Her Majesty the Queen from his role as a privy councillor. His decision to continue hosting the show came under heavy attack from Nicola Sturgeon, Salmond’s successor as SNP leader and first minister, earlier on Wednesday. (See 2.14pm.) Other senior figures in the SNP quickly lined up alongside her, applauding the decision by the UK government to ask the broadcasting regulator Ofcom to review RT’s broadcasting licence. Salmond’s party Alba said earlier this week it “condemns the violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity” by Russia’s recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk but it said Nato’s influence needed to be curbed, to protect “Russia’s own security interests.” Labour complains about government's refusal to give details of further arms being supplied to Ukraine Labour has written to complain about the lack of transparency following Boris Johnson’s statement at prime minister’s questions that the UK would be providing “lethal aid” to Ukraine as part of “a further package of military support”. Shortly after Downing Street said “no further details” could be provided, citing “operational security reasons,” prompting Labour’s shadow defence spokesman to complain that MPs and the public were being kept in the dark at what could be a significant commitment. John Healey, writing to defence secretary Ben Wallace, said, while the opposition supported the principle of supplying arms to Ukraine to help defend itself, it was “also right that MPs continue to be properly updated”. Overnight the Sun reported that the UK was preparing to send a Sky Sabre radar system to be deployed in Poland along its 240km border with Ukraine. Mounted on trucks it is also capable of firing small missiles to hit rockets or planes. Defence sources added two units Sky Sabre units from the Royal Artillery would be heading to Poland imminently, travelling on land and by boat to reach the border within days. Labour said that previously, on 17 January, Wallace had come to the Commons to say that the UK had supplied anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. Then on 10 February Wallace had set out the further supply of body armour, helmets and combat boots, in a written statement. But on this occasion it appeared no formal detail was forthcoming. Healey urged Wallace, in the light of the prime minister’s declaration, “to provide details to parliament as soon as possible”. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/keir-starmer-urges-boris-johnson-to-end-e2-80-98era-of-oligarch-impunity-e2-80-99-e2-80-93-uk-politics-live/ar-AAUcfnJ?ocid=BingNewsSearch

Tony Wittman , a former soldier, held a young woman at gunpoint after losing cat Bailey Scarlett showed up for a late shift at the Melbourne Lost Dogs Home Soldier told Ms Scarlett 'if you do as I say and listen to me I won't shoot you' Wittman told police he had been to both East Timor and Afghanistan twice each A former soldier blamed post-traumatic stress disorder caused in part by two army tours in Afghanistan for holding a woman hostage in an attempt to get his cat back. Armed with an assault weapon and dressed in full military-style clothing, Tony Wittman held the young woman at gunpoint as she showed up for a late-night shift at the Melbourne Lost Dogs Home. Bailey Scarlett initially believed, because of his militaristic appearance, that he was legitimately there and that something had happened in the area. Armed with an assault weapon and dressed in full military-style clothing, Tony Wittman held Bailey Scarlett at gunpoint as she showed up for a late-night shift at the Melbourne Lost Dogs Home Wittman, 45, claimed his unhinged actions were the result of his desperation to get back the cat that had helped him through episodes of post-traumatic stress disorder, itself the result of 16 years in the Australian Army. He claimed to police he had been to East Timor and Afghanistan twice each, and to Aceh after the Boxing Day Tsunami. But Australian Defence Force records show he was a reservist for just two days shy of two years between 1995 and 1997, discharged for failure to provide efficient service. 'You really are the worst kind of evil human that makes the newspaper headlines today,' Ms Scarlett told Wittman on Wednesday. She questioned why he would inflict a diagnosis of PTSD on another person, as he had done to her. 'You came prepared for war, and a war against a totally defenceless animal welfare carer,' she said. 'All of this over something I was not responsible for.' Wittman had made an appointment for January 12 last year to pick up his cat from the home, but decided the night before that he couldn't wait. He went at 8pm, two hours after the home closed to the public. He later went back at 10.30pm as Ms Scarlett arrived for work. Wittman demanded to know where the cats were kept and after Ms Scarlett said she didn't have keys for the cat he demanded she get on her knees. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10541637/Unhinged-soldier-stormed-Melbourne-animal-shelter-looking-cat.html

Tucker Carlson addressed events in Ukraine, often using arguments made by Vladimir Putin. The Fox News host repeated criticisms of Ukraine's democratic stability and claim to nationhood. Carlson has often been sympathetic to the Russian president while attacking the Biden administration. Tucker Carlson argued Russia's case in its dispute with Ukraine on his Tuesday show, echoing several points made during President Vladimir Putin's speech the day before. In Monday's lengthy address, Putin defended his escalation of the conflict with Ukraine, rewriting its history to emphasize its cultural overlap with Russia and to argue that it has never really existed as a state. He also aired his grievances with NATO's expansion eastwards, saying falsely that the alliance had broken a promise not to do so after the Cold War. On Fox News, Carlson made strikingly similar points. As part of a 15-minute segment devoted largely to attacking the Biden administration's response to events in Ukraine, he echoed three main of Putin's main arguments. Both say this is about hating Russia, not defending Ukraine "Democrats want you to hate Putin, anything less is treason," said Carlson Tuesday night. It's "that hatred of Vladimir Putin" that could tip the situation into war, he said. He went on to suggest that it's China, not Russia, that deserves a robust response from the US. Putin made a similar claim — that NATO doesn't want Russia to exist and so is seeking to punish him. Putin has long bemoaned NATO's policy that any country is eligible to seek membership. That, he said, is because "their one and only goal is to hold back the development of Russia. And they will keep doing so, just as they did before, even without any formal pretext just because we exist." "They just do not need a big and independent country like Russia around," he said. "Ukraine is not a democracy" Putin painted Ukraine in bleak terms, pointing to its political strife, high levels of corruption. He claimed that the 2014 revolution that ousted the pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych "did not bring Ukraine any closer to democracy and progress." "A stable statehood has never developed in Ukraine," he said, saying that its democratic framework is just a cover for oligarchs. He also pointed to attacks on political opponents and media outlets. On Tuesday Carlson said: "You can't say it enough, Ukraine is not a democracy," pointing to the same issues of political and journalistic freedoms. "And by the way, if the Biden administration believes that is a model democracy, we ought to be very concerned," he added. In 2021 the DC-based nonprofit Freedom House, which produces detailed analyses and rankings of democracies, categorized Ukraine as a "transitional or hybrid regime." Western leaders have not called Ukraine a model state, but have spoken of its democracy as a still-developing one worthy of support. Ukraine is a "puppet" of the West In portraying Ukraine's instability, Putin pointed to the number of anti-corruption institutions that receive US backing there. He also said the country's agreements with western governments and NGOs have rendered it "a colony with a puppet regime." Carlson made the same point, arguing that Ukraine is "essentially managed by the State Department." He later connected Biden's defense of the country to the theory that he is indebted to Ukrainian oligarchs — one of several references to Hunter Biden's former employment with the Ukrainian firm Burisma. President Biden has long denied any business connection to Ukraine, according to the BBC, and insisted that Hunters activities in Ukraine were nothing to do with him. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/tucker-carlson-echoed-putins-talking-points-on-fox-news-arguing-the-us-should-not-care-about-russia-invading-ukraine/ar-AAUcO1V?ocid=BingNewsSearch

LOS GATOS, Calif., Feb. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- TidalScale, the company leading the Software-Defined Server revolution, today announced availability of its fourth generation Software-Defined Server technology. News Summary: TidalScale Software-Defined Server technology now includes TidalGuardTM technology, which dramatically improves overall system reliability, availability, and serviceability. TidalGuard™ allows for detection and avoidance of over 90% of hardware-related failures before they become fatal via hot-swapping of failing hardware. If a server failure occurs, TidalGuard™ enables systems to be restarted in minutes, 10X or more faster than traditional computing. TidalGuard™ allows most maintenance including security updates to be performed with ZERO downtime. In effect, TidalGuard™ adds two 9′s to overall system uptime. Enterprise customers need their mission-critical applications to run with minimal system downtime, whether they are hosted on-premises or in the cloud. This is becoming increasingly difficult as server reliability is dropping dramatically as highlighted in the New York Times article, “Tiny Chips, Big Headaches.” With the fourth generation of TidalScale software-defined servers with built-in patented TidalGuard™ technology, customers and partners, including IBM Cloud and Lenovo, can now effectively add two 9′s to their overall system uptime. TidalGuard™ monitors the health of physical servers underlying a software-defined server and allows them to be hot-swapped prior to a system failure. TidalGuard™ also allows physical servers to be taken offline for regular software and security updates. In either case, applications continue to perform and require ZERO downtime. The result is dramatic improvement in overall system reliability, availability, and serviceability. Gary Smerdon, President & CEO at TidalScale “We are excited about the release of our fourth generation Software-Defined Server technology. The release marks a major milestone in our long-term vision of a Software-Defined Server technology that is not only self-optimizing but also self-healing and self-sizing. TidalGuard™, our new self-healing technology, is now available to our customers. We are very pleased with the incredibly positive response the technology has received from customers as well as from the press including the New York Times, which called out TidalScale as a solution to the growing hardware reliability problems in the industry.” Bob Wheeler, Vice President & Principal Analyst, The Linley Group “Server reliability has dropped at an alarming rate over the past decade. The dramatic increase in the amount of memory in servers, generational decreases in DRAM reliability, and reduced ECC capabilities in certain Intel processors, have undermined the availability of servers running mission-critical workloads. TidalScale’s ability to hot-swap a server while keeping the application up and performant is a compelling capability for both avoiding failures and keeping systems up to date with the latest security patches.” Jana Kanyadan, Global CIO at Mohawk Industries “As a customer of TidalScale, we are thrilled with the latest release of the software-defined server technology. The built-in TidalGuard technology, which allows for detection and replacement of failing hardware without requiring any system downtime, is a huge productivity boon for our IT team. Equally important is the ability to perform most maintenance, in particular security patches, with ZERO downtime. These capabilities on top of the unmatched flexibility and scalability are exactly the type of cutting-edge features which Mohawk strives for as we push to innovate in all aspects of our business.” About TidalScale, Inc. TidalScale is the industry leader in software-defined server technology. TidalScale’s software solution “glues” commodity servers together so that they function as a single larger system. The software accomplishes this by aggregating the CPU cores, memory, and I/O of multiple physical servers, virtualizing these resources, and then presenting them as a unified “software-defined server” to the operating system. TidalScale requires no changes to applications or operating systems and is deployable within minutes—on premises or in the cloud. TidalScale has been recognized in: Gartner Cool Vendors, CIO Review’s Most Promising SAP and Oracle Solution Providers, CRN’s Top 50 Software-Defined Data Center Leaders, Red Herring’s Global Top 100, IDC Innovators, and more. TidalScale is privately held with backing from Bain Capital, Aspenwood Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Infosys, SK Hynix, Citrix, and Samsung. Learn more at: http://www.tidalscale.com. And this that you put in your last request:
What do you mean by that? That GFX Staff members have no knowledge in design or what?
I think it's disrespectful what you said to them.
And Designers are not forced to make GIFs and you can't force them to do it either. -
For those who want to join VGR project I recommend you to watch this tutorial before making a request:

BRASILIA : Brazilian Economy Minister Paulo Guedes said he was ready to remain in office for a potential second term of President Jair Bolsonaro, but indicated that he would need support for his pro-market agenda. In an interview with TV channel Jovem Pan News late on Monday, he said he would agree to keep overseeing Latin America's largest economy, if invited. Seen as right-wing Bolsonaro's economic guru since his 2018 campaign, Guedes has been struggling to defend his market-friendly agenda, which includes fiscal sustainability and privatizations, at a time when both Bolsonaro's government and Congress seek to pass fiscal measures to lower fuel prices ahead of October's elections. "If you see that this alliance of conservatives and liberals is continuing, you're excited. Now, if it's just a conservative government and it doesn't have (a market-friendly agenda)...," he said. "As long as I have his trust and enthusiasm, we will be together. I trust him," he added. Fuel prices have soared in the past year, weighing on double-digit inflation in the country and affecting Bolsonaro's po[CENSORED]rity. For now, Bolsonaro remains in a distant second in voting polls behind former leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Guedes said in the interview that the lack of political support stalled tax and administrative reforms and the privatization of state-controlled companies. "I underestimated the resistance of the establishment," he said. Even so, the minister pointed out that the privatization of power company Eletrobras would occur this year. The small dog was found Saturday morning trapped within three bags near railroad tracks in Vineland, Cumberland County A young, female chihuahua named Coco was found stuffed within three bags that were left next to railroad tracks in Vineland this past weekend, according to the South Jersey Regional Animal Center. Vineland police and a local animal shelter are seeking answers regarding an abandoned chihuahua that was found trapped within three bags next to railroad tracks in Cumberland County this past weekend. The South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in what the organization called "a blatant act of animal cruelty" on its Facebook page on Monday. A man who was walking his dog this past Saturday morning near Christel Avenue in Vineland noticed a bag that appeared to be moving, the shelter said. The man could also hear audible sounds coming from the bag. The man, whose identity has not been revealed, brought the bag to the animal shelter. Employees opened the bag to find a chihuahua stuffed within two additional sealed bags. The shelter said that both the abandoned dog and the three bags were covered in urine. The chihuahua was identified as a young female and later named Coco. The shelter said that Coco was "visibly shaken and lucky to be alive." https://www.facebook.com/watch/SJRASVineland/ She was then evaluated by the shelter and put into the care of a foster family in order to get her back to full health. Coco will be available for adoption once she fully recovers, the shelter said. The incident was reported to Vineland police, who have since opened an investigation into the matter. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 856-691-4111. https://www.phillyvoice.com/abandoned-dog-chihuahua-vineland-cumberland-county-south-jersey-animal-shelter/

[Moto] Moto Morini Unveils Special X-Cape Gold Wheels Edition
FazzNoth posted a topic in Auto / Moto
For Moto Morini’s 85th anniversary, the Italian adventurer gets a dash of gold. Moto Morini, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, is introducing a unique variant of the X-Cape 650 adventure bike to its inventory for the 2022 season, in honor of the company's 85th anniversary. Moto Morini is calling it the Gold Wheels Edition, which is based on the mid-range X-Cape 650 adventure-tourer, and carries over practically all of the special characteristics of the special model. Moto Morini equips the Gold Wheels Edition with gold-colored spoked rims to give the X-Cape an even more exquisite appearance. Alberto Monni, Deputy General Manager of Moto Morini, expounds on the significance of this special model stating: “The color gold represents the prestige and energy of the Moto Morini family – which, among other things, celebrates its 85th anniversary in 2022.” The gold rim option goes well with the other options, which include black cast or black wire-spoke rims. The new special edition variant's technology and features are totally unchanged. The Gold Wheels Edition is available in Italy for 7,690 Euros ($8,690 USD), which is 200 Euros more expensive than the black wire rim version and 500 Euros more expensive than the cast-aluminum rim version. The special edition Gold Wheels version of the X-Cape commemorates the company’s 85th anniversary, as well as the brand’s fifth year of being under the ownership of Chinese company, Zhongneng Vehicle Group. The 649cc parallel-twin, eight-valve engine produces 60 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 42 ft-lbs of torque at 7,000 rpm. It has a declared top speed of 108 miles per hour and is driven by a Bosch electronic fuel-injection system. Steel tube trellis frame, adjustable Marzocchi fork, Brembo brakes, and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires are included on the bike. https://www.msn.com/en-ie/cars/news/moto-morini-unveils-special-x-cape-gold-wheels-edition/ar-AAU6m50?ocid=BingNewsSearch
