Consumers are increasingly turning to low-cost Chromebooks for their portable computing needs, and yet, surprisingly little effort has been toward getting traditional, non-mobile games running on Google’s cloud-powered machines. As of now, none of the major PC gaming storefronts or launchers work on Chrome OS, but it seems that may be about to change. According to Android Police, they spoke with Google’s director of product management for Chrome OS Kan Liu at CES 2020, and he let slip that official Steam support is indeed coming to Chromebooks sometime in the unspecified future. While not confirmed, Android Police claims Liu “implied” Google is working directly with Valve to bring Steam to Chrome OS. Currently, there are roundabout ways to get Steam working on Chromebooks – you can install the Linux version of the Steam launcher using the Crostini Linux compatibility layer, but performance is less than ideal. An official Steam app for Chrome OS would likely iron out the kinks by using Valve’s open-source compatibility layer for Linux systems, Steam Proton. Of course, even if Steam support does come to Chrome OS, the question remains -- what type of games would be playable? Most Chromebooks aren’t designed for gaming. Sure, retro titles and simple puzzle and adventure games would work, but what about stuff that needs a bit of GPU horsepower? Well, according to Liu, more gaming-capable Chromebooks are on the way, powered by AMD tech. I don’t expect you’ll be able to play Red Dead Redemption II on high settings on your Chromebook any time soon, but a few rounds of Team Fortress 2 or CS:GO? I could see something like that happening. Any Chromebook users out there? What are your thoughts? Would you have any interest in playing Steam games on your Chromebook or do you just accept it’s only for certain things?

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19546 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This is the build from the so far branchless edition of Windows 10 as the Windows maker isn't associating the current builds being tested by the Fast ring Insiders to any specific version of Windows 10. The company had said that these builds are from its active development branch which is used to test the upcoming version of Windows 10, but, now they are no longer matched to a specific Windows 10 release. Today's Windows 10 Build 19546 brings a new Graphing Mode to Windows Calculator, which Microsoft says was one of the most requested features. Here's the complete changelog of Windows 10 build 19546: Introducing Graphing Mode in Windows Calculator Today, we’re updating Windows Calculator for Insiders with a preview of our new graphing mode. Adding support for graphing is one of our top feature requests in Feedback Hub, and we’re excited to bring this feature to our users. Graphing capabilities are also essential for students who are beginning to explore linear algebra. With this feature, we hope to empower students to learn mathematics by improving their conceptual understanding and attitudes towards math. Here are a few things you can try out with this new feature: - Plot one or more equations on the graph. Enter multiple equations so that you can compare plots against each other and see interactions between the lines. You can also customize the line style and graph viewing window to suit your needs. - Add equations with variables. If you enter an equation with a secondary variable (e.g., “y = mx + b”), you’ll be able to easily mani[CENSORED]te those variables so that you can quickly understand how changes to the equation affect the graph. - Analyze the graph. Trace plots with your mouse or keyboard to better understand the relationship between variables in the equation on the graph. You can also analyze equations to help identify key graph features, like the x- and y- intercepts. We’re looking for feedback! Tell us what you want to see next via the Feedback Hub under Apps > Calculator or select the Send feedback button on the About page in the app. If you’re a developer, check out the project on GitHub - we are always accepting contributions! #BuildTogether Introducing the Indexer Diagnostics app Available now in beta via the Microsoft Store, the Indexer Diagnostics app was created to help enhance your understanding of the capabilities of search, as well as increase the troubleshooting ability and support for general Windows Search issues. The tool will continue to be improved with more functionality added over time—as always, appreciate your feedback! The app is available for anyone running Windows 10 version 1809 or higher. General changes, improvements, and fixes for PC - We fixed an issue resulting in Timeline not showing any activities. - We fixed an issue resulting in Outlook search not working for some. - We fixed an issue significantly impacting Task View reliability for some. - We fixed an issue where pressing Spatial Sound -> Off in the sound menu caused Explorer.exe to crash.

Intel's Xe GPU may not be a secret anymore, we've seen entry-level and HPC derived Xe GPU based products over the last couple of months, but what remains a secret are architecture details for Intel's next-gen and first discrete-tier graphics architecture. Intel To Unveil Xe GPU Architecture Details & Features at GDC 2020 - Designed For Next-Gen Gaming, Workstation and HPC Graphics Cards Intel has unveiled that they will be holding a special session at GDC where they will present the very first architecture details and features for their Xe architecture. Intel's Xe architecture will be powering all the way from entry-level mobility/desktop products to high-end HPC, workstation and enthusiast gaming-grade designs. Following are the details of the session itself: Intel's brand new Xe Architecture has been teased for a while, and is scheduled for release later this year! This update brings a significant compute, geometry and throughput improvements over today's widely used Gen9 and Gen11 graphics. This talk will provide a detailed tour of the hardware architecture behind Intel's upcoming GPUs - unveiling the structure behind its building blocks and their performance implications. Special consideration will be taken to explain how graphics engineers can best exploit the new Xe Architecture. We will then take an in-depth look at the powerful new features being introduced with this new architecture. Takeaway Introduction to Xe Architecture including new and innovative features, unique insight on 3D and compute, and clear guidance on Xe architecture optimizations. GDC 2020 will take place from March 16th till March 20th and while there isn't any mention of a livestream happening during the event, we will have our team visiting the event to cover all the details. With that said, Intel's Xe GPUs are definitely something to look forward to. It not only brings a third player into the graphics market, but will also make the market more competitive. Intel just recently previewed their first discrete graphics chip, the DG1, which targets entry-level mobility and desktop platforms. Intel allowed the tech press to have a look at their SDV or software development vehicle card and play a few games on this very early product which they are sampling to ISV's worldwide to optimize their software around Intel's upcoming Xe graphics cards. Intel has also showcased their most powerful Xe GPU design, an exascale class HPC chip known as Ponte Vecchio which will go on to power the Aurora supercomputer in 2021. The Ponte Vecchio GPU will also utilize the Xe graphics architecture, but its a second revision will would utilize the much more advanced 7nm+ process node from Intel. The Intel Xe GPU architecture is one scalable architecture powering various products. Intel is planning to offer three microarchitectures derived from Xe. These include: - Intel Xe LP (Integrated + Entry) - Intel Xe HP (Mid-Range, Enthusiasts, Datacenter / AI) - Intel Xe HPC (HPC Exascale) Just from the naming scheme, you can tell where these GPUs would feature. The 'LP' keyword stands for Low Power, whereas the 'HP' keyword stands for High Performance. The HPC keyword is simply the High Performance Computing aimed architecture which will use a range of new Intel technologies that we are going to talk about. It is stated that Xe LP is around 5W-20W, but can scale up to 50W. Intel's Xe HP is one tier above that and should cover the 75W-250W segment, while the Xe HPC class architecture should aim even higher, delivering even more compute performance than the rest. Intel also states that they will be unveiling 'powerful' features of their Xe graphics architecture that might hint at techs such as ray tracing or better, which has been hinted in previous rumors. Other than that, the Xe graphics architecture is said to bring significant compute, geometry & throughput improvements over current Gen 11 GPUs and Tiger Lake CPUs with Xe graphics are expected to deliver 2x the performance uplift over Gen 11 GPUs which is impressive. We definitely can't wait to see what Intel Xe GPUs have to offer for the consumer and HPC markets!

Windows 7 is officially dying today with Microsoft having released the last batch of updates for the 2009 operating system. The Windows maker does offer a paid (exorbitantly priced, if we may say so) extended support plan for enterprises and free support for 2020 election machines. Google, however, is ready to support this dying operating system a little longer, for free. The company said that it intends to "fully support Chrome on Windows 7 for a minimum of 18 months from Microsoft's End of Life date." With end-of-support today on January 14, 2020, Google will be supporting Chrome for Windows 7 until "at least July 15, 2021," the company said in a statement last week, in which it also pitched why enterprises should adopt Chromebooks. Google says that browsers have become just as critical as the operating system, which is why enterprises that haven't yet made the move to Windows 10 will be covered by Google for a minimum of at least 18 months. What does this mean for Windows 7 users Google says that "running an OS outside of official support can leave organizations vulnerable to potential security threats." With Chrome's built-in security capabilities, it hopes to keep users safe while on the web through their Windows 7 devices. "With Safe Browsing, Site Isolation and new advanced password and phishing protections, Chrome proactively helps protect users working in the cloud," the company said. "With policy management, IT teams can tighten controls as they see fit. And our fast update cycles mean better protection from vulnerabilities, especially for enterprises taking advantage of automatic updates." Google also added that users can work seamlessly across Windows 7 and Windows 10 devices in a business environment, since they can simply pick up where they left off across the different versions. "And because your employees are already familiar with browsing in Chrome, they’ll experience less disruption once they do move to working in Windows 10," the company said. While it is still highly recommended to make the move to Windows 10, browser support and timely updates do help in keeping your online presence secure to some extent. Microsoft has also said that users will continue to receive MSE signature updates, so Windows 7 users won't be completely unsupported. Here's an excerpt from Google's statement issued last week over its decision to extend Chrome for Windows 7 support: While the new year brings opportunity to rethink many aspects of business, this year, it also brings big changes for some businesses: on January 14, 2020 (just 5 days away), Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 7. If you’re like most enterprises, you’ve started the migration process and may already have a portion of your company now running on Windows 10. Operating system migrations are tricky (which is one reason many companies have adopted Chromebooks for parts of their workforce). IT teams want to make the move to the latest OS version quickly to take advantage of the latest security improvements and benefits, while limiting potential disruptions to user productivity. But the browser has become just as critical as the operating system for getting work done, especially when there’s major reliance on cloud and SaaS apps. We have enterprises covered, even if they haven’t yet made the full move to Windows 10. We will continue to fully support Chrome on Windows 7 for a minimum of 18 months from Microsoft’s End of Life date, until at least July 15, 2021. So if you haven’t started your move to Windows 10 yet, or even if your organization is mid-way through migration, you can still benefit from the enterprise capabilities of Chrome.

AMD's high-end lineup has been missing from the picture for quite a while now but it looks like the company might be adding to its existing Navi-series GPUs very soon. A mysterious RX 5950XT was recently spotted getting EEC certification (Komachi via Videocardz) and considering we have seen leaks of a very powerful 'Big Navi' GPU already, is this the card we have been waiting for? Well, only time will tell, but in the meantime here are the details on the Radeon RX 5950 XT. AMD Radeon RX 5950XT Navi GPU family spotted in EEC filing online The EEC filing, in fact, mentions four new GPUs: Radeon RX 5950XT (the flagship), Radeon RX 5950, Radeon RX 5900 and the Radeon RX 5800. This means we can expect at the very least one more Navi GPU with three variants each. It is entirely possible that this is the Big Navi that was promised to us almost 2.5 years ago and the one that will deliver to AMD fans the high-end card they have been waiting for. On the other hand, it is also possible that this is a new die that the company prepared and while these graphics cards will obviously more powerful than the RX 5800 series, it is still not Big Navi. Without any further ado, here is a screenshot of the EEC filing submitted by AFOX corporation - an add-in board partner for AMD Radeon. Considering we are looking at at least four confirmed launches from AMD where graphics cards are concerned, it is very likely that the Open VR entrant we saw recently is one of these. Nomenclature would dictate that the RX 5950 XT be significantly more powerful than any of its younger siblings (like the already-released RX 5700) and going by the steps involved, we can easily see that this is going to be quite a powerful card. It is clear, however, that AMD will be po[CENSORED]ting some of its missing price points and we are likely looking at price cuts for the existing RX 5700 series when that happens. The upcoming graphics cards will be based on the 7nm process and will be manufactured using the RDNA macroarchitecture. Ray tracing is also expected to be supported on a native basis in these cards. If the OpenVR benchmarks are anything to go by then we are looking at at least a 15% increase over NVIDIA's flagship: the RTX 2080 Ti. AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, did recently promise high-end Radeon RX Navi GPUs. Lisa also mentioned that AMD is heavily investing in ray tracing for their 2020 discrete GPU lineup which would feature the 2nd Generation RNDA architecture with hardware-level integration to support ray-tracing. The features to expect from 2nd Generation RDNA Navi GPUs would be: - Optimized 7nm+ process node - Enthusiast-grade desktop graphics card options - Hardware-Level Ray Tracing Support - A mix of GDDR6 and HBM2 graphics cards - More power-efficient than First-Gen Navi GPUs AMD's GPU side has been pretty much lackluster over the past couple of years and while the CPU side has made one hell of a comeback, its time for Radeon to shine once again. The last impressive launch that I recall was Hawaii and the RX 5950 XT looks like it could restart AMD's competitive streak in the GPU side of things as well. Equipped with a process advantage over its competitors, and with NVIDIA backed into a corner with its expensive Turing chips, this is one of the biggest opportunities for AMD Radeon to shine again.

NASA is sending a helicopter to Mars. The Mars Helicopter, a small, autonomous rotorcraft, will travel with the agency’s Mars 2020 rover mission, currently scheduled to launch in July 2020, to demonstrate the viability and potential of heavier-than-air vehicles on the Red Planet. “NASA has a proud history of firsts,” said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. “The idea of a helicopter flying the skies of another planet is thrilling. The Mars Helicopter holds much promise for our future science, discovery, and exploration missions to Mars.” U.S. Rep. John Culberson of Texas echoed Bridenstine’s appreciation of the impact of American firsts on the future of exploration and discovery. “It’s fitting that the United States of America is the first nation in history to fly the first heavier-than-air craft on another world,” Culberson said. “This exciting and visionary achievement will inspire young people all over the United States to become scientists and engineers, paving the way for even greater discoveries in the future.” Started in August 2013 as a technology development project at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the Mars Helicopter had to prove that big things could come in small packages. The result of the team’s four years of design, testing and redesign weighs in at little under four pounds (1.8 kilograms). Its fuselage is about the size of a softball, and its twin, counter-rotating blades will bite into the thin Martian atmosphere at almost 3,000 rpm – about 10 times the rate of a helicopter on Earth. “Exploring the Red Planet with NASA’s Mars Helicopter exemplifies a successful marriage of science and technology innovation and is a unique opportunity to advance Mars exploration for the future,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, Associate Administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate at the agency headquarters in Washington. “After the Wright Brothers proved 117 years ago that powered, sustained, and controlled flight was possible here on Earth, another group of American pioneers may prove the same can be done on another world.” The Mars Helicopter is a technology demonstration that will travel to the Red Planet with the Mars 2020 rover. It will attempt controlled flight in Mars' thin atmosphere, which may enable more ambitious missions in the future. The helicopter also contains built-in capabilities needed for operation at Mars, including solar cells to charge its lithium-ion batteries, and a heating mechanism to keep it warm through the cold Martian nights. But before the helicopter can fly at Mars it has to get there. It will do so attached to the belly pan of the Mars 2020 rover. “The altitude record for a helicopter flying here on Earth is about 40,000 feet. The atmosphere of Mars is only one percent that of Earth, so when our helicopter is on the Martian surface, it’s already at the Earth equivalent of 100,000 feet up,” said Mimi Aung, Mars Helicopter project manager at JPL. “To make it fly at that low atmospheric density, we had to scrutinize everything, make it as light as possible while being as strong and as powerful as it can possibly be.” Once the rover is on the planet’s surface, a suitable location will be found to deploy the helicopter down from the vehicle and place it onto the ground. The rover then will be driven away from the helicopter to a safe distance from which it will relay commands. After its batteries are charged and a myriad of tests are performed, controllers on Earth will command the Mars Helicopter to take its first autonomous flight into history. “We don’t have a pilot and Earth will be several light minutes away, so there is no way to joystick this mission in real time,” said Aung. “Instead, we have an autonomous capability that will be able to receive and interpret commands from the ground, and then fly the mission on its own.” The full 30-day flight test campaign will include up to five flights of incrementally farther flight distances, up to a few hundred meters, and longer durations as long as 90 seconds, over a period. On its first flight, the helicopter will make a short vertical climb to 10 feet (3 meters), where it will hover for about 30 seconds. As a technology demonstration, the Mars Helicopter is considered a high-risk, high-reward project. If it does not work, the Mars 2020 mission will not be impacted. If it does work, helicopters may have a real future as low-flying scouts and aerial vehicles to access locations not reachable by ground travel. “The ability to see clearly what lies beyond the next hill is crucial for future explorers,” said Zurbuchen. “We already have great views of Mars from the surface as well as from orbit. With the added dimension of a bird’s-eye view from a ‘marscopter,’ we can only imagine what future missions will achieve.” Mars 2020 will launch on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, and is expected to reach Mars in February 2021. The rover will conduct geological assessments of its landing site on Mars, determine the habitability of the environment, search for signs of ancient Martian life, and assess natural resources and hazards for future human explorers. Scientists will use the instruments aboard the rover to identify and collect samples of rock and soil, encase them in sealed tubes, and leave them on the planet’s surface for potential return to Earth on a future Mars mission. The Mars 2020 Project at JPL in Pasadena, California, manages rover development for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington. NASA’s Launch Services Program, based at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, is responsible for launch management.

Skype is one of those big success-fail-success stories we often only see in the tech industry. The brainchild of two scandinavian tech entrepreneurs, Skype was a pioneer in peer-to-peer communication, making video calls feasible even in slow Internet connections dating to the mid-2000s. The company was initially sold to eBay, then recovered by an investment fund who was looking for shoppers or a potential IPO, then finally sold to Microsoft in 2011 for a pretty $8.5 billion. As an avid Skyper in the early days, I recall recommending it to friends and colleages for free calls and video conference that worked like nothing else. But just like Microsoft ignored the shift to mobile computing, Skype also lagged behind the innovation curve, for a while living as a solid but somewhat antiquated Windows application with so-so Mac support that monetized through international calls at low rates. By the time Skype made it to mobile (and even to this day) it arrived as a painfully slow, battery-draining application that often fails to deliver a smooth experience. Microsoft did its part over the years as well. First merging Skype logins with Microsoft Passport, a messy and unnecessary transition that had average computer users -- who relied and maybe even loved the application to communicate with family -- frustrated by the change. In the midst of Windows' shift to "Metro" apps, Microsoft also tried to push Skype as a pre-installed app resulting in two distinct versions of Skype installed on the same computer, using separate login screens, and not a clear path of which of two was the one to use. By then the desktop application had been redesigned more than once and neither the desktop application nor the Metro app were great choices. At the peak of its po[CENSORED]rity Skype had become a verb -- before mobile messaging platforms like BlackBerry Messenger, iMessage or WhatsApp exploded -- I recall using Skype for personal communication, replacing other forms of instant messaging and receiving plenty of requests from work contacts to communicate using the platform. Since then Slack, Hipchat and other work collaboration platforms have flourished. Even Microsoft built its own collaboration platform called Microsoft Teams to counter other big-name enterprise competitors entering the space like Cisco. Most recently Microsoft has split Skype in two: for consumers, Skype remains a messy looking application that looks like a Snapchat clone, with awful mobile call quality. And for enterprise clients, Skype for Business has replaced Microsoft Lync, is set to merge with Microsoft Teams, and tie up with Office 365. A Bloomberg article gives some detail of where Skype stands today with big clients and how Microsoft has succeeded by selling Skype for Business to corporations like General Electric. GE rolled out the service to 220,000 employees in late 2017 and is reportedly logging 5.5 million meeting minutes a day. Other enterprise customers include some of the largest US banks and big companies in Europe where Skype has historically been a very po[CENSORED]r brand. According to a Forrester survey comprising over six thousand IT workers, 28% said they use Skype for Business for conferencing, compared with 21 percent for Cisco’s products. As far as opportunities missed, Microsoft pioneered real-time translation and Skype was very much part of that dating back to 2014. However you'll be hard pressed to find someone suggesting Skype is leading communication as it once did, offering unmatched call quality, let alone consistency. So while public perception is not on Microsoft's side on this one, Skype is living to see another day.

We recently received the brand-new Corsair Obsidian Series 1000D super-tower case, so watch above as Steve installs the foundations for a mega build he's calling CoffeeRipper. The Obsidian 1000D is bloody big. Did we mention this super-tower can fit two desktop systems? I suppose given the size that’s hardly surprising. 'CoffeeRipper' will be a special build housing both an 8700K gaming rig along with a 1950X workstation, now that’s the stuff of dreams. Some of you might have caught wind of this super-tower a few months ago when Corsair and Amazon accidently leaked information about the upcoming case. I’m actually surprised this didn’t happen sooner as I agreed to the 1000D embargo with Corsair back in December, but due to various issues the release has been pushed back until now. I assume there was some kind of production issue with the front glass panel which showed curved edges in the leaked photos. This has now been replaced with a flat glass panel which doesn’t look nearly as sleek but would allow for greater air-flow, so it’s likely more practical in that sense. The 1000D is the new flagship case from Corsair and it’s expected to cost $500 which is a lot, but for a case of this caliber is surprisingly reasonable. The case measures 693mm long, 697mm deep and 307mm tall giving it a volume of 148 liters. That makes the 1000D roughly 30% larger than the 900D and that was a comically large computer case. The 900D was also incredibly heavy at 18.6kg, but brace yourself because the 1000D has packed on the kilos and is almost 60% heavier at a whopping 28.5kgs. Forget about your back, what’s the structural integrity of your desk like? The reason for the massive increase in weight is largely due to the inclusion of tempered glass panels as Corsair has wrapped not just the sides but also the front of the case in glass, ohh and there’s a neat little strip on top as well. The 1000D follows the styling of the 500D, which is a good thing as I really liked that case, it's got a bit more character than the Obsidian models that came before it. So like the 500D you get those fantastic hinged doors, they’re just twice as big now but thankfully still removable. They’re also held in place by magnets which go a good job and you don’t have to worry about them opening when you move the case because you’re 100% going to remove the doors before attempting to lift this beast. Things that are awesome and work well include the removable dust filters in the top, front and bottom PSU location. These massive panels side out with ease and merely require you to open the hinged door to access them. The I/O panel is fantastic and there’s enough USB ports here for two systems so you can configure those how you like, some can be attached to the Mini-ITX rig and others to the full size ATX system. There’s also a pair of USB Type-C ports. For those wondering only the power and reset buttons for the main ATX rig are found on the front I/O, around the back you’ll find the power and reset buttons for the ITX system. One of the coolest features are the fan trays. With the 500D these were removable so you could install fans and radiators outside of the case and them slot them all in at once on the tray. The 1000D takes this concept to the next level with sliding rails, for much easier access the trays unlock via a single thumbscrew and side right out of the case. In total you can install 13 fans, eight 120mm fans in the front, three 140mm fans in the top and two 120mm fans in the rear. Corsair says the rear supports two 120mm or 140mm fans in the rear but I wasn’t able to fit two ML140 fans, so not sure what’s going on there. After closer inspection there’s just 260mm of total height here so I’m not sure how you’re meant to squeeze 280mm worth of fans there. Around the back the 1000D takes cable management to the next level with a pair of barn doors. Open them up and you have a massive basement section with a pre-installed Commander Pro, half a dozen 2.5” drive trays, five 3.5” drive trays and a whole lot of space for hitting cable mess. The basement section is 490mm wide, 490mm tall and 70mm deep. Opening up the left side door reveals a massive interior ready to take advantage of an open loop liquid cooling system, a few of them in fact. With just fans installed there’s 580mm’s worth of clearance for graphics cards, so fair to say you could install a super thick radiator in a push/pull configuration without an issue. Finally the PSU shroud does limit the power supply length to around 220mm as you still need to squeeze the cables in. For such a massive case this does seem a little limiting, that said you will be able to cram something like the Corsair AX1500i in without much trouble. Installing the ATX PSU is a bit of a pain as you need to remove the shroud and this means disassembling the ITX system if it’s already installed. There’s no other way to get the PSU our or adjust the cables, at least as far as I can determine without the manual. A removable bracket at the rear of the case would have really helped with this issue. The same is also true for the SFX power supply but because that’s located in the basement section you can access that directly. So the 1000D isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty close and I don’t see any deal breakers for those wanting to build the most outrageous of liquid cooled builds. I do plan to liquid cool my 1000D and that will happen in a future rebuild of the system. For now I’ve installed the foundations which include the MSI X399 Gaming Pro Carbon and Threadripper 1950X along with a Vega 64 graphics card. Then for the ITX gaming build we have the MSI Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC, Core i7-8700K and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio. Impressively the 1000D actually manages to make the Gaming X Trio look small. This isn’t the kind of case you’d even consider if your budget doesn’t have a 5 digit number attached to it. Yes it’s massive, yes it’s over the top, and yes that’s the point. Of course, it’s more practical to build separate gaming and workstation PCs, two systems in a single case doesn’t really make sense, but that doesn’t mean it’s not awesome, because it very much is. The Corsair 1000D is an impressive super tower, for more details do check out the video above.
